Notorious anti-Trump singer Bruce Springsteen claims that criticizing President Trump actually makes him a patriot.
“I believe in critical patriotism,” the New Jersey-based entertainer said during his recent PBS special, “Bruce Springsteen: Finding America in Song.”
He added, “I believe that’s the definition of a patriot, you know, that you love your country so much that you are willing to look at it clearly, recognize its faults, encourage it to be a better place, and believe that you carry in your heart the country that is waiting.”
Springsteen recently ended his “Land of Hope and Dreams” tour, which was filled with political protest and Trump-bashing galore, as The Daily Wire previously <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/nobody-cares-bruce-springsteen-mocked-for-tirade-against-trump">reported</a>.
The far-left singer, 76, made endless political statements during the tour, both on and off the stage. “There’s some very weird, strange, and dangerous sh*t going on out there right now,” he said during his Manchester stop.
“In America, they are persecuting people for using their right to free speech and voicing their dissent. This is happening now. In America, the richest men are taking satisfaction in abandoning the world’s poorest children to sickness and death.”
On the topic of the Trump administration targeting illegal aliens for deportation, Springsteen said, “They are removing residents off American streets and without due process of law, are deporting them to foreign detention centers and prisons.”
“In my country they’re taking sadistic pleasure in the pain they inflict on loyal American workers. They’re rolling back historic civil rights legislation that has led to a more just and plural society,” the singer said at another point. “They are abandoning our great allies and siding with dictators against those struggling for their freedom. They are defunding American universities that won’t bow down to their ideological demands.”
But Trump has not accepted the criticism in silence. Recently, the president made his opinion known, calling for a MAGA boycott against Springsteen and his shows.
“Bad, and very boring singer, Bruce Springsteen, who looks like a dried up prune who has suffered greatly from the work of a really bad plastic surgeon, has long had a horrible and incurable case of Trump Derangement Syndrome, sometimes referred to as TDS,” the president <a href="https://truthsocial.com/@realDonaldTrump/posts/116334990675013056">wrote</a>, echoing what many on social media were saying. “The guy is a total loser who spews hate against a President who won a Landslide Election, including the popular vote, all Seven Swing States, and 86% of the Counties across America.”

The major intellectual project of the far Left in the United States has long been its attempt to get Americans to hate their country. Its proponents may allow for hope of future love of country, once the left has been swept into power and undertaken the necessary reforms or even a revolution. But as for the country’s past and its condition today, it is chiefly worthy of visceral detestation and condemnation.
As for the view of their country among Americans writ large, we will likely get a better impression of the prevailing mood in the weeks ahead. Prediction: Americans will mark their country’s 250th birthday with celebratory gusto, not disgust.
Those in the public square who don’t share the condemnatory view, including President Trump, often speak of Trump Derangement Syndrome. Frequently, however, TDS is a symptom of a more encompassing malady. Call it “America Derangement Syndrome” — the view that this country stinks in all major and many minor ways. The mobilization against Trump is personal, but he is often a proxy for a bigger target: the idea of a great America.
This view mainly spreads from its sturdy long-time redoubt on the end of the political spectrum, where Americans identify themselves not as “liberal” but as “very liberal.” The intensifier has made a big difference in attitudes toward American exceptionalism (no such thing), views of the U.S. military (highly suspect), DEI and transgender policy preferences (enthusiastic support), and, in pandemic times, personal fear of COVID (very high).
Over decades, Gallup surveys found Americans embraced this “very liberal” self-description in low numbers, typically no more than 10% of respondents, compared to 25% or so identifying as “liberal.” Yet the “very liberal” do command cultural heights from Hollywood and academia to publishing to major media outlets. They are a tiny minority of Americans, but they don’t act like it and never have. Meanwhile, surveys have shown that in recent years, more Democrats have been tipping toward “very liberal.” In terms of political domination of the party, the “very liberal” seem to have routed or cowed into submission moderate or old-school “liberal” Democrats.
The representative cultural document of “very liberal” America is the “1619 Project,” which sought to redate the founding of the United States to the year the first African slaves arrived in the British colonies of North America. To slavery, add “settler genocide” as practiced against Native Americans, the all-encompassing subjugation of women by men, stultifying religious conformism, the turn of the United States to imperial conquest in the late 19th century, Japanese internment during World War II, the South of Jim Crow, ongoing structural racism and sexism, income inequality, and the overweening political influence of billionaires. The cumulative impression is that of an American moral cesspool. A Gallup survey last year found 9% of respondents said they had no pride in the United States;  an additional 11% said they had only a little.
Lately, however, this broad-based rejection of the United States as a political project has also taken inchoate root on the “postliberal” right. Here, the primary objection is the primacy accorded to individual rights and freedom in liberal societies, especially the United States. Liberty, in this view, inevitably becomes license and runs roughshod over any notion of the common good, which societies must embrace to survive. Postliberals divide over whether the United States, at its origin, was in fact a liberal society. One view holds that because it was, the venture was doomed to failure from the outset once liberalism had run its course.  Another view is that the United States was born a Christian nationalist polity but became corrupted over time by liberal individualism.
As for where to go from here, the recovery of the sense of collective good requires some form of authoritarian transformation. Most postliberals are vague on the details, though some are explicit in their yearning for a strongman. Both the postliberals and the left aspire to cultural hegemony and the suppression of ideas about the “common good” that deviate from their own. This requires enforcement power that they won’t find in the Constitution of the United States.
While “very liberal” self-describers are a small but growing minority, the postliberal sort is a growing minority but still an infinitesimal one. J.D. Vance has called himself postliberal, but he is less well known for that than for his conspicuous patriotism as vice president of the United States.
The “very liberal” and the postliberal are one in spirit in that their advocacy takes place not outside the confines of the society they claim to despise, or even on its margins, but in its bosom. Many on the Left have long been adept at cashing in on their views in societies such as the United States, which readily enable individuals to do so. The ability of right-wingers to do so seems to be improving as social media is monetized. In this, paradoxically or not, both camps have a lot in common with the hundreds of millions of other individuals bustling in pursuit of happiness in the United States.
So even as those who peddle disgust with America continue to make the most of living here, 41% in that Gallup survey said they are extremely proud of their country, 17% very proud, and 19% moderately proud. It’s true that the extremely/very numbers were down from 2024, but there is clearly a partisan effect from Donald Trump’s reelection to account for. So the inroads of America Derangement Syndrome are real but small.
This shouldn’t really come as a surprise, and it points to a fundamental misconception among evangelists of America-hate. Guess what? All sentient Americans are aware of their country’s history of slavery, and polls show most agree its negative effects remain with us. Yet 77% are at least moderately proud of their country anyway. Love of one’s country or pride in it doesn’t require a view that its past was sinless. So “educating” people about its sinfulness, by way of the 1619 Project, will not produce the hoped-for levels of radicalization a new revolution requires. The “very liberal” may or may not believe they are speaking to the masses, but their message resonates mainly with their preexisting ideological soulmates. It can, however, produce an unwarranted degree of self-doubt among  Americans about their country and a reluctance to speak up for it for fear of monomaniacal “very liberal” denunciation. This is a problem, and it demands greater outspokenness on behalf of the 77% who recognize, wholly or in part, that they live in a great country.
In fact, most of the time, most citizens of most countries feel a sense of attachment to them. This is visceral. Here, it’s what causes otherwise even-keeled individuals at international sporting events to chant “U-S-A! U-S-A!” and to be moved to tears by especially powerful renditions of the “Star-Spangled Banner.” These reactions do not require an unblemished historical record of goodness and achievement, nor are they easily undone by affluent scolds with an agenda. The notion that you could talk Americans out of pride in their country is part and parcel of the derangement.
Once, when asked in Europe about American exceptionalism, President Barack Obama replied, “I believe in American exceptionalism, just as I suspect that the Brits believe in British exceptionalism and the Greeks believe in Greek exceptionalism.” He chose to answer by pretending not to know of the specific use of the term “exceptionalism” as applied to the American experience. That left many Americans dissatisfied or worse, because if everyone rightly feels exceptional, it’s the rule, not the exception.
Nevertheless, to the extent Obama was simply describing the pride people generally take in their country, he was on to something. He selected safe countries to set alongside America. The German and Japanese examples, had he picked them, would have created a different hubbub. Yet it’s impossible to find countries or peoples in the world today whose history includes nothing blameworthy. An overall identity-driven affinity and affection persists among their people even so.
There will always be a fringe of outlying haters. Those living in societies whose top political priority is the protection of individual rights — the United States, for example — have the great advantage of freedom to seek recruits to their point of view. But they are pitching lunacy, and they should not be surprised when their inroads are not great.

The responses were filled with fans and other members of the Hollywood community supporting Bryant’s courage to speak out against hardcore liberals in the industry, even at the risk of career and reputational damage.
“You proved one thing, money can&#8217;t buy ethics and principles,” one reply <a href="https://x.com/MrDparkskip/status/2064603002053255554">said</a>. “You sir are one of the few good men left, on behalf of all good men we salute you!”
“Perlman is foul mouthed and self important. Ferrell peaked at playing more cow bell. Not spending a thin dime to watch anything they make,” another commenter <a href="https://x.com/DebNonCompliant/status/2064699761127575689">agreed</a>.
“I have much respect for you sir. I won’t watch anything they are associated with anymore,” echoed a third. “I really wish Hollywood had stayed in the entertainment business. Instead, they decided their audiences wanted to be lectured in THEIR [political] beliefs. Sad…”
Perlman is known for his unhinged, profanity-laced rants against President Donald Trump and other prominent Republicans. In 2020, the actor <a href="https://www.theguardian.com/film/2025/feb/28/ron-perlman-on-hellboy-the-la-fires-and-trump-a-snake-oil-con-artist-whod-sell-you-bad-vodka-and-swampland-in-new-jersey">challenged</a> Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) to a fight online. He’s called Trump, “a snake-oil con-artist who’d sell you bad vodka and swampland in New Jersey” and referred to <a href="https://variety.com/2024/film/news/ron-perlman-donald-trump-terrified-of-kamala-harris-1236201087/">Kamala Harris</a> as “f***ing brilliant.”
The “Hellboy” star also <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/ron-perlman-deletes-video-threatening-to-destroy-studio-execs-home">lashed out</a> at Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL), calling him a “Nazi pig” over the Parental Rights in Education law — despite the fact that he clearly did not understand what it did.
“Good morning, Governor DeSantis,” Perlman began with a leering smile. “Ron here. Um, don’t say gay? Don’t say… as the first two words of a sentence spoken by a political leader of a state in the United States of America? Don’t say gay? Don’t f***ing say gay you f***ing Nazi pig? Say. First Amendment. Read about it. Then run for office. You piece of s***.”
The Daily Wire Editor Emeritus Ben Shapiro responded to Perlman at the time, saying simply, “You are literally too stupid to insult.”

During the two-decade run of &#8220;The Ellen DeGeneres Show,&#8221; its host would end each episode with the line, &#8220;Be kind to one another.&#8221; That was until the show got cancelled following allegations that DeGeneres created a toxic environment for her employees. Now, she spends her time in English exile complaining that President Donald Trump isn&#8217;t nice enough.
We all wish we had a nickel for every celebrity who vowed to leave the country if Donald Trump won the election. And then it happened twice. Ka-ching. 
Yet the vast majority of stars, <a href="https://www.rollingstone.com/music/music-news/cher-leave-the-country-trump-reelected-guardian-interview-1234856398/">like Cher</a>, never leave. They collectively memory-holed their vow while keeping up a “resistance” posture. Not Ellen DeGeneres. She followed through on the promise to leave. The disgraced talk show host literally left the country at the end of 2024 before Trump took office for greener pastures. Bucolic England, to be more accurate. And <a href="https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/c8d638rrndzo">she loved</a> her new home:

The villages and the towns and the architecture — everything you see is charming and it&#8217;s just a simpler way of life … It&#8217;s clean. Everything here is just better — the way animals are treated, people are polite. I just love it here.”</blockquote>
Yes. The comedienne who was bounced from her own show for chronic cruelty is now a big fan of polite behavior, apparently.

President Trump’s reelection weighed heavily in her decision to flee the country. She also worried Trump — who has appointed openly gay men to be key parts of his administration, Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent and adviser Ric Grenell — would end same-sex marriage in the United States.
That was then. A year and a half of Trump-induced exile was apparently enough. The &#8220;Finding Nemo&#8221; star is now using some of her American-earned royalties to buy a new home … back in America.
The comic and her longtime squeeze Portia de Rossi just gobbled up a $27 million mansion in Montecito, California. The plan, at the moment, is for the couple to split time between England and the United States. But it appears their return may <a href="https://pagesix.com/2026/02/04/celebrity-news/inside-ellen-degeneres-decision-to-buy-california-home-one-year-after-uk-move/">be temporary</a>.
Imagine having enough money to buy a California mansion with the plan to ditch it in the near future.

One would think a celebrity of her stature might have a debt of gratitude to a country that allows that kind of financial freedom. Perhaps she’ll realize life in the United States, even under a so-called “dictator,” still has its perks. 
Maybe not.
It’s also unclear what DeGeneres thinks about the recent crackdowns on free speech on British citizens, including <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/irish-comedian-recounts-shocking-arrest-over-anti-trans-social-media-posts">the arrest</a> of comedic colleague Graham Linehan at Heathrow Airport over a social media post about men entering women&#8217;s spaces. She’s yet to weigh in on the matter via social media, even though she’s been a stand-up comic for decades, a gig that demands all the free speech room Western culture can offer.
For now, a <a href="https://people.com/ellen-degeneres-missing-california-after-moving-to-england-buys-new-house-montecito-11898028">People magazine source</a> says the duo missed California’s weather and “horse scene.” They&#8217;ll hole up back in California while they build a massive horse stable and riding area at the United Kingdom estate. 
De Rossi is an animal enthusiast and appears to have put her extensive Hollywood career behind her. The “Arrested Development” co-star’s resume dried up in recent years with no new projects on the horizon.
The same may not be true for DeGeneres.
The comedian delivered a rare stand-up special late in 2024 on Netflix. It was her first attempt at explaining away all the terrible headlines tied to her ugly TV talk show exit on her terms, not any tabloid headlines.

No filters. Just DeGeneres and her considerable wit. Except the special didn’t capture the upbeat humor that entertained so many Americans over the years. And, when it came to addressing the elephant on the stage, her toxic behavior, DeGeneres fumbled.
Even Variety, a far-left outlet that might be gracious to any DeGeneres comeback given her legitimate status as an LGBT pioneer, <a href="https://variety.com/2024/tv/news/ellen-degeneres-netflix-special-review-for-your-approval-1236153600/">cried foul.</a>
It’s a spectacle of ego that seems at odds with the humble demeanor DeGeneres shows on stage — but then, that divide has lately been part of the whole Ellen experience.
And, it appeared, the special was her way of speaking her mind and bowing out of Hollywood, officially.
Then again, how many artists have promised to hang up their professional hats only to return a short time later? If DeGeneres truly embraced the kindness and beauty of her new British home, why not move to any of the other states in America, where she’ll find plenty of both? Why pick a city that’s less than two hours from Los Angeles, still a major Hollywood hub?
Her recent social media musings prove she’s still plugged in to American news headlines and, more importantly, remains on the same page as her former Hollywood denizens. She recently offered “<a href="https://www.instagram.com/p/DTquV4Ekoa1/">prayers</a>” to Minneapolis for the self-inflicted chaos engulfing the city over ICE arrests.
Perhaps DeGeneres is taking a page from the playbook of another former talk show host: Rosie O’Donnell. They’re both former comedians who fled the country thanks to President Trump, but neither can leave their old home’s politics behind.

O’Donnell’s unhinged rants over all things Trump have flowed steadily from her social media accounts despite living full-time in Ireland for the past year. She even questioned whether President Trump’s 2024 assassination attempt <a href="https://www.aol.com/rosie-o-donnell-angrily-rants-170206586.html?guccounter=1&amp;guce_referrer=aHR0cHM6Ly93d3cuZ29vZ2xlLmNvbS8&amp;guce_referrer_sig=AQAAALPU--JZlGu-3QIZUjsflhvuYeZX7XoyxpfJhyLNRnDIDk9HQL9hAPxOsPCgPQy9SswtbIx4ZnRpJGMKNouhyDFBJGmhF7-yioQ8-MHodua6LPGwGCthczcNsJ2FQQCqA6-bMXCmKzKUBcL4iEh6QiwcUag87dgV7xzqhfeN2Fsy">actually happened</a>.
And both DeGeneres and O’Donnell played up a sweet, friendly brand that proved to be anything but accurate. O’Donnell’s “Queen of Nice” shtick, along with her crush on Tom Cruise, proved to be pure Hollywood fiction.
And we all know how afraid “Ellen” staffers were to be near their boss behind the scenes.
Perhaps DeGeneres’ self-imposed American exile, along with her speedy return, will end up as stand-up fodder for her next comeback attempt. Turns out even self-exiled Hollywood royalty will eventually return to the kingdom that made her rich.

It is said that the first casualty of war is truth. Perhaps so. But consider the compensating benefit: the humor to be found in the frantic, self-infatuated verbiage that gushes in to coddle the lies and float the narrative.
The propaganda press has been working overtime since February 28, when Donald Trump determined to end the war that Iran started in 1979.
Many connoisseurs of political pathology have commented on the presence of aggravated Trump Derangement Syndrome in the coverage of the war. There is certainly no shortage of TDS in the fabrications that the media have been passing out about the war. But behind the unbridled hatred of Trump is the more abiding hatred of American and Israeli military prowess.
Where to start?
A few days ago, <a href="https://x.com/ishapiro/status/2037167715635404844?s=20">a protest in Philadelphia</a> featured the applause line “For every US soldier who comes back in a casket, we cheer!” Then there are the many “expert” reports claiming that, appearances notwithstanding, America is actually losing the war. We have taken out Iran’s entire leadership, sunk nearly all of its navy, obliterated its air force, crushed its air defenses, exploded more than 90% of its stockpiles of missiles and drones, and leveled most of its war-making infrastructure.
Is The Economist magazine owned by Iran or some other opponent of America? I ask because its surreal, reality-free writing about the war has descended from the tendentious to the preposterous. Just a few days ago, they ran a cover story under the title “<a href="https://x.com/TheEconomist/status/2037126183649689877?s=20">Advantage Iran</a>.” “A month of bombing Iran has achieved nothing,” that once-sober publication whimpered. “Will Donald Trump escalate, or talk? For now, at least, the advantage lies with the Islamic Republic.” Really? Tell that to <a href="https://x.com/davidharsanyi/status/2034973352331268380?s=20">these chaps</a>. Or maybe tell <a href="https://x.com/EYakoby/status/2036987387616628859?s=20">Alireza Tangsiri</a>, head — rather, the late head — of Iran’s Navy. He was checked out just a couple of days ago.
If it were not that unbridled displays of insanity are inherently disturbing, such anti-Trump rhapsodies would be merely amusing. As it is, the element of pathetic mendacity renders them more contemptible than amusing. Consider “<a href="https://foreignpolicy.com/2026/03/20/us-trump-victory-iran-war-dangers/">Why U.S. Victory in Iran Would Be Bad for Washington—and the World</a>,” a recent column in Foreign Policy by Howard French, a professor at Columbia University. It is not often that one encounters such a confection of blinkered, ideologically driven nonsense. French begins by telling his readers that the political situation in the United States is not “normal.” He does not directly name the source of the putative abnormality, but it soon emerges that the primary cause of our discontents is — yes, you guessed it — Donald Trump. Things are so far out of whack, French says, that both the American public and world opinion “should simply not wish for a U.S. victory in the country’s 3-week-old war against Iran.”
Why is that? Why would you not wish America to win a war against the world’s largest state sponsor of terrorism, a misogynistic totalitarian death cult that for forty-seven years, ever since the installation of Khomeini’s lunatic Shia regime, has murdered hundreds if not thousands of Americans while avidly pursuing nuclear weapons and the extinction of Israel?
Instead of offering an argument, French offers a series of sentiments. We should not want victory in Iran because the United States and Israel are engaged in a “senseless war.” What makes it “senseless”? French says that “U.S. President Donald Trump himself has never given a remotely coherent vision of what a victory in Iran would consist of.” But from the very beginning, <a href="https://truthsocial.com/@realDonaldTrump/posts/116147082884192486">President Trump said</a> that his aims in the war were to deny Iran the capacity to acquire nuclear weapons, to make it impossible for them to harry their neighbors with drones and ballistic missiles, to dismantle their network of support for terror exporting proxies like Hezbollah, Hamas, and the Houthis, and finally to make it possible for the Iranian people to rise up and take back their country from the Mullahs. Those very specific goals define the “sense” of the war.
President Trump and his lieutenants have <a href="https://x.com/RapidResponse47/status/2035102800074432620?s=20">iterated those desiderata</a> early and often. French faults President Trump for failing to have “sought authorization from Congress, as the U.S. Constitution calls for him to do.” Let me introduce Howard French to the <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/War_Powers_Resolution">War Powers Resolution </a>of 1973, which explicitly authorizes the president to deploy the military for 60 days without congressional approval.
But all this persiflage about process was really just what Kierkegaard called a “preliminary expectoration.” What really bothers Howard French are two things — or rather, two people: Donald Trump and Benjamin Netanyahu. “The far bigger problem that underpins all of these realities,” French says, “is that the United States is governed by a malignant narcissist whose megalomaniacal tendencies have bloomed alarmingly before the world’s eyes during his second term in office.” Oh dear. The TDS is far advanced in this one. So is the NDS. Israel, he says, “has become addicted to permanent war as a substitute for politics and reason in its own region, and thereby empowering and emboldening another malignant politician, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.”
Neither Trump nor Netanyahu is popular in the corridors of Columbia University or the pages of the propaganda press. Ask the Iranian people, though, or Americans uncorrupted by the clarity- and testosterone-sapping virus of elite opinion. French warns about “a future in which Washington has lost most of its other alliances” because of this war. But in fact new allies all over the Middle East are flocking to Washington’s banner. The UAE and Saudi Arabia are among the nations who have <a href="https://x.com/_GlobeObserver/status/2037156692966642016?s=20">refused to consider a ceasefire</a> until the Iranian regime is gone, and both are putting boots where their mouths are, so to speak, promising to send nearly <a href="https://x.com/mitchellvii/status/2037147014383689735?s=20">300,000</a> troops to join battle.
The single worst president in dealing with Iran was Barack Obama, who sent them billions in cash as a bribe but merely accelerated their nuclear program and enabled them to fund their terrorist proxies more lavishly. It should come as no surprise, then, that Howard French holds up Obama as the man whose policies could lead the way forward to “dialogue and mutual reassurances.” What a fool.
Howard French’s embarrassing column proceeds with, “An expert’s point of view on a current event.” His subhead tells us that “the possibility of Trump imposing his personal whims on another nation is even more frightening than U.S. failure.” Some wit on X had the perfect response. It, too, features the rubric, “An expert’s point of view on a current event.” But his subhead gives the game away: “<a href="https://x.com/JTAlexander_/status/2036829710987190705?s=20">Why SPQR Victory in Gaul Would Be Bad for Rome </a>—and the World. The possibility of Caesar imposing his personal whims on another nation is even more frightening than Roman failure.” Touché.

Actor Robert De Niro, who is afflicted with one of the worst cases of Trump Derangement Syndrome on record, is now crying about Trump’s presidency and insisting he will “never” be gone.
The 82-year-old celeb said as much during an appearance on MS NOW host Nicolle Wallace’s podcast “The Best People.&#8221;
&#8220;People have to resist, resist, resist, resist, resist. That&#8217;s the only way. There&#8217;s no magic. There&#8217;s no nothing – people are not going to go away, even if Trump dies for some reason by having an illness or something,&#8221; De Niro said. &#8220;Parts of that movement are still there, and that&#8217;s the scary part. It has to be neutralized by the people.&#8221;

At another point, Wallace mentioned a speech the actor gave in 1981 about “lifting people up,” which prompted the actor to bring the conversation back to politics.
&#8220;You have to,&#8221; De Niro said as the tears flowed. &#8220;You have to lift people up. You have to bring them together. Period. You can&#8217;t divide people. You can&#8217;t win that way. It&#8217;s a no-win situation.&#8221;
&#8220;And look, what we have. Look who we have there,” he went on. “It&#8217;s almost like our destiny to have this thing they&#8217;re destroying — attempting to destroy this country and maybe not even understanding why. So it&#8217;s up to us to protect the country.&#8221;
&#8220;All I know is people have to resist, resist, resist, resist,” he repeated. “There&#8217;s no easy way. It&#8217;s not going to come to you easy. You know, there&#8217;s a time when you know in your own life and your own survival, you better do this, you better jump and run through the fire. Because if you don&#8217;t run through the fire, you&#8217;re not getting out, and that&#8217;s what we have to do.&#8221;
In the past, De Niro has made every possible criticism of Trump, insinuating that he’s a “Nazi” and questioning his humanity.

Rosie O’Donnell, who admitted to leaving the country because President Donald Trump was re-elected, recently shared that her 12-year-old child has had some strong reactions to the move.
The comedian discussed the situation with former CNN host Jim Acosta. O’Donnell had previously blamed her leaving on wanting to maintain a good environment for her 12-year-old son, Clay, who is autistic and previously identified as nonbinary.
“My daughter is now saying, ‘D*mn him, d*mn Trump,’ and smashing her hand on the table,” O’Donnell said, referring to Clay as a girl.
“And I said, ‘Wow, honey, what are you thinking?’ And she said, ‘He made us move in order for our own safety! And it’s now he’s destroying the country!&#8217;”
“She lives here, she hears what I’m saying to you. Not that I go around speaking like this every day if it is not an interview. But I think to myself, ‘You don’t want to give this to her.&#8217;”
&#8220;Whatever this thing is, of me thinking that I somehow have to stand in defiance of [Trump],” she continued. “I don’t, somebody can tap me out. I did 22 years, I don’t really need to do anymore.”

Actor Robert De Niro had a full-scale meltdown over President Donald Trump, going so far as questioning if he was even human.
The 82-year-old made an appearance on the MSNBC show “The Weekend” on Sunday to voice support for the nationwide &#8220;No Kings&#8221; demonstrations, which were very popular with his age demographic, and urge followers to keep protesting against Trump.
&#8220;We can&#8217;t let up,&#8221; De Niro said. &#8220;We cannot let up because [Trump] is not going to leave the White House. He does not want to leave the White House; he will not leave the White House. Anybody who thinks, &#8216;Oh, he&#8217;ll do this, he&#8217;ll do that,&#8217; is just deluding themselves.&#8221;

“We see it all the time—[Trump] will not want to leave,” he went on. “He set it up with, I guess he’s the Goebbels of the cabinet, Stephen Miller.”
“He’s a Nazi,” the actor continued, comparing Miller, who is Jewish, to Adolf Hitler’s chief Nazi propagandist, Joseph Goebbels. “Yes, he is, and he should be ashamed of himself.”
Trump did mention seeking a third term in the past, but more recently <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/trump-reveals-who-will-most-likely-be-the-2028-republican-nominee">stated</a> that Vice President JD Vance is “most likely” going to be the Republican Party’s 2028 presidential nominee.
&#8220;I&#8217;m looking to having four great years and turn it over to somebody, ideally a great Republican, to carry it forward,&#8221; he said in August.

Kathy Griffin had her Trump Derangement Syndrome (TDS) on full display during a recent episode of her podcast, when she insisted that President Donald Trump stole the 2024 election.
The 64-year-old comedian and plastic surgery enthusiast has a long history of animosity toward Trump — most infamously when she posed in 2017 with a prop resembling the president’s bloodied, severed head. The stunt tanked her already fading career, but she’s continued to attack Trump at every opportunity since.

“I’m going to say something that’s going to get me in trouble,” Griffin said before saying it may make her seem “crazy,” but she doesn’t believe Trump “won in a free and fair election.”

The comedian said she believed Trump’s win wasn’t legit because Elon Musk was “handing out million-dollar checks to people to vote for Trump,” calling the supposed act “unconstitutional and illegal.”
“He’s, like, a fake genius&#8230; he’s a professional Nazi, in my humble opinion,” Griffin said about Musk.
The D-lister also said it was “suspicious” that Trump won all seven swing states, a feat which ”has never happened in the history of the U.S.,” she claimed.
There were many reactions on social media to Griffin’s allegations.
“Kathy Griffin is the face of Trump Derangement Syndrome,” Congressman Troy E. Nehls (R-TX) <a href="https://x.com/RepTroyNehls/status/1978536560459964837">wrote</a> on X.
“Kathy Griffin is now denying the results of the 2024 election. I was told that denying election results is a threat to our democracy. Literally shaking rn,” Libs of TikTok <a href="https://x.com/libsoftiktok/status/1978603051918233792">joked</a>.
“When your fantasy world continuously doesn’t match the real world as it is, something has to give. Denial is one way for the brain to not melt down completely, even if it is degenerating,” another person <a href="https://x.com/JazzDevo/status/1978777261877719504">chimed in</a>.

That was late-night host <a href="https://www.the-independent.com/news/world/americas/us-politics/jimmy-kimmel-republican-viewers-lose-riddance-monologues-healthcare-gun-control-a8004011.html">Jimmy Kimmel’s reaction</a> way back in 2017 to a question about pushing his right-leaning fans away with his progressive transformation. This transformation only grew more pronounced during Trump 2.0.
It culminated in one of the <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/abc-pulls-jimmy-kimmels-late-night-show-indefinitely-after-charlie-kirk-comments?author=Tim+Pearce&amp;category=undefined&amp;elementPosition=8&amp;row=3&amp;rowHeadline=Latest+News&amp;rowType=Vertical+Carousel&amp;title=ABC+Pulls+Jimmy+Kimmel%E2%80%99s+Late+Night+Show+%E2%80%98Indefinitely%E2%80%99+After+Charlie+Kirk+Comments">ghastliest comments</a> ever uttered by a late-night host:

The public knew enough at that point to assume the killer targeted Kirk for his conservative views. More information came out the same day of Kimmel’s comments to seal the sad deal on the matter.
His lie ricocheted around social media and podcasts while legacy media outlets looked the other way. Then, some ABC affiliates balked, sending Kimmel to the bench, perhaps for good.

It caps a tumultuous eight years for the ex-“Man Show” host, one whose rude and crude brand gave way to lectures, finger-wagging, and the occasional tear.
We still don’t know all the details behind Kimmel’s benching. Sinclair, the company behind many ABC affiliates, pulled the show and demanded a full-throated apology from the far-Left Kimmel. Nexstar also axed the show, at least for now.
ABC then followed suit.
The decisions came after FCC chair Brendan Carr excoriated Kimmel’s comments on “The Benny Show” and suggested action may be required. <a href="https://www.cnbc.com/2025/09/18/jimmy-kimmel-charlie-kirk-fcc-carr.html">Carr followed up on those opinions via CNBC.</a>
<blockquote>It was appearing to directly mislead the American public about a significant fact that probably one of the most significant political events we’ve had in a long time, for the most significant political assassination we’ve seen in a long time.</blockquote>
Carr has a legal leg to stand on, given ABC uses the public airwaves, but it still bears a whiff of danger to our collective free speech. The government shouldn’t get involved in speech matters, by and large. And First Amendment purists should watch matters closely, something the ACLU once did before becoming regretfully woke.
What’s obvious is how Kimmel abused his platform over the years, mocked others who got fired for sharing the “wrong” words, and embraced nuclear-grade hypocrisy.
Remember Roseanne Barr? The cranky mind behind the ABC sitcom bearing her name lost her job in 2018 after sending out one racially-charged tweet targeting a member of the Obama administration, Valerie Jarrett. Barr swiftly apologized and said she didn’t know Jarrett was black. ABC, owned by Disney, fired her anyway.
Kimmel’s response?
He joked that the <a href="https://x.com/TimcastNews/status/1968491997246730340">show should go on</a>, but this time focusing on her character’s husband, Dan, played by John Goodman. He couldn’t defend her or suggest ABC shouldn’t fire an employee for one awful post.

When multiple social media platforms banned President Trump following the events of Jan. 6, Kimmel <a href="https://x.com/libsoftiktok/status/1968548319757480447">delighted in the news</a>. He used his then-Twitter account to share a cartoon of Trump unsuccessfully trying to access the site, a single tear dropping on his smartphone.
In 2021, Kimmel’s show shed announcer Dicky Barrett because the musician refused to take the COVID-19 vaccine, per ABC’s orders. Did Kimmel fight on his behalf? That remains unknown. He did not, however, fight for him in the public space, that’s for sure.
Kimmel’s COVID-19 commentary could be callous, if not downright cruel. When worries surfaced about having enough hospital beds to treat sick Americans, Kimmel suggested those who didn’t take the vaccine <a href="https://www.yahoo.com/news/jimmy-kimmel-says-unvaccinated-people-140553383.html">should be shut out</a>.

Later, when Fox News showed Tucker Carlson the door in 2024, Kimmel danced on the <a href="https://x.com/mazemoore/status/1968502145788809291">conservative’s professional grave</a>.

Perhaps his most egregious act as a so-called comedian came when he hosted a fundraiser for then-President Joe Biden last year. That move shredded whatever remained of his fair-and-balanced pose, but he made things much worse after the fact.
The fundraiser showed President Biden freezing up during the finale. Former President Barack Obama had to gently guide the addled leader off the stage. The moment was caught on video. We all saw it, and most already knew that Biden’s cognitive state was in question.
What did Kimmel do after the fact? He seemingly lied to his audience, telling them <a href="https://www.hollywoodintoto.com/jimmy-kimmel-biden-fundraiser-lie/">they couldn’t trust their eyes.</a>
Kimmel isn’t just a partisan. He’s so hard-Left that he greeted President Trump’s re-election last year with <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/jimmy-kimmel-literally-cries-over-trump-win-suggests-trump-voters-are-stupid">the tears of a former clown</a>.

A few months later, he made light of fellow progressives <a href="https://nypost.com/2025/03/20/media/jimmy-kimmel-gave-marching-orders-to-vandalize-teslas-scott-jennings/">attacking Tesla dealerships</a> over CEO Elon Musk’s political maneuvers.
More recently, he joked that some of his show’s female staffers <a href="https://www.tvinsider.com/1166115/jimmy-kimmel-luigi-mangione-hot-kiiller-monologue-video/">were crushing on Luigi Mangione</a>, the man accused of murdering UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson in cold blood.
Ha ha ha.
Even his infamous Kirk comments came before he mocked President Trump for mourning the wrong way over the younger man’s assassination. Just ghoulish.
Not riddance, Jimmy. Good riddance.
