<a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/travis-scott-in-trouble-again-with-law-after-paris-arrest">Travis Scott</a> was released from jail after being arrested in Paris on Friday for an alleged assault of a security guard and will face no charges.
Sources close to the 33-year-old rapper — born Jacques Bermon Webster — told the <a href="https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/music-news/travis-scott-paris-arrest-1235970424/">Hollywood Reporter</a> that there are no plans to charge the rapper and that no one was injured when Webster was taken into custody at the five-star George V hotel in the French capital after a security guard attempted to break up an alleged fight between the rapper and his bodyguard.
Sources told the outlet that there was no injury to Scott’s bodyguard and that it was nothing more than authorities in France overreacting to a verbal argument between the two.
The Paris prosecutor’s office told <a href="https://variety.com/2024/global/entertainers/travis-scott-arrested-in-paris-1236101344/">Variety</a> that the offense was “insufficiently characterized” and that no charges will be brought against the rapper.

“I can confirm that on August 9, 2024, shortly after 5 a.m., the police were called to the Georges V Hotel and arrested the man nicknamed Travis Scott for assaulting a security guard,” the prosecutor’s officer said previously.
“The latter had himself intervened to separate the rapper from his bodyguard,” the statement added. “The 1st judicial police district was seized of the investigation by the Paris prosecutor’s office.”
A representative for the rapper said, at the time, “We are in direct communication with the local Parisian authorities to swiftly resolve this matter and will provide updates when appropriate.”
“After multiple days of being chased and harassed by paparazzi upon entering his hotel early this morning and another evening of being swarmed with no help given Travis was arrested at his hotel after unfortunately getting into a fight with his own security detail, his bodyguard,” a source close to Scott said.

However, it’s not all good news for Scott because the prosecution is still looking to charge the rapper with a misdemeanor trespassing charge, the outlet noted.
On June 20, Scott was booked into Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center in the early morning hours with his bonds set at $500 and $150, before he was released, as previously <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/rapper-travis-scott-arrested-in-miami-beach">reported</a>.

A woman filed a lawsuit alleging that her unborn child died as a result of her attending Travis Scott’s deadly Astroworld concert.
Shanazia Williamson and her husband Jarawd Owens of Dayton, Ohio, were expecting a child when they attended the event in early November. The couple has filed a lawsuit against Scott along with concert promoters Live Nation and ScoreMore, plus security company Valle Services SMG, ASM Global, and the Harris County Sports and Convention corporation, Rolling Stone <a href="https://www.rollingstone.com/music/music-news/astroworld-pregnancy-wrongful-death-lawsuit-1265989/">reported</a>.
The suit was filed in December but was not previously reported. A court filing listed 11 deaths when that number had originally been 10, which led to questioning the attorneys in the case, per <a href="https://abc13.com/11th-astroworld-victim-travis-scott-lawsuit-shanazia-williamson-pregnant-woman-crushed/11841830/">ABC 13</a>. 
“While in attendance at the festival, Shanazia was trampled and crushed resulting in horrific injuries and ultimately the death of her and Jarawd’s unborn child,” the text of the lawsuit states. “In addition, Shanazia sustained injuries to her shoulder, back, leg, chest, stomach and other parts of her body.”
“Defendants’ failure to plan, design, manage, operate, staff, and supervise the event was a direct and proximate cause of Shanazia’s injuries and death of her and Jarawd’s unborn child,” it reads. 
The lawsuit also claims that the defendants offered inadequate security and medical personnel, and did not properly plan for safety hazards, among other allegations. It is unclear from the lawsuit how long after the festival Williamson miscarried or how far along into her pregnancy she was at the time.
This wrongful death claim is one of hundreds of lawsuits from concertgoers. The Astroworld tragedy resulted in the deaths of 10 people at the Houston festival, including a 9-year-old child. More than 70o attendees reported injuries, according to court documents.
Williamson’s claims come at a precarious time for the nation, however, as the question of when life begins has been reignited by the Supreme Court, which may soon overturn Roe v. Wade. Texas has included unborn children as part of wrongful death claim statutes since 2003. This is not true in all states.
Per Rolling Stone, Live Nation and subsidiary ScoreMore along with security provider Contemporary Services Corporation have denied all allegations stated in the lawsuit. Rapper Scott previously <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/people-pass-out-things-happen-at-concerts-travis-scott-denies-fault-in-first-interview-since-astroworld-tragedy">alleged he did nothing wrong</a> and even tried to stop the show several times when he thought things were getting out of control.
The “Sicko Mode” singer offered to pay for the funerals of concert goers who died after Astroworld, but about half of the families refused the money.

It’s not uncommon for new parents to wait a few days or even several weeks before naming their new baby. It’s less common for parents to choose a name and take it back, but, that’s exactly what happened with reality star Kylie Jenner and rapper Travis Scott and their newest bundle of joy.
The couple welcomed their son on February 2 and just over a month later, they’re picking a new name for the child, Fox News <a href="https://www.foxnews.com/entertainment/kylie-jenner-shares-tribute-video-to-her-son">reported</a>. Jenner shared the news via her Instagram Stories along with never-before-seen moments of the baby’s birth.
&#8220;FYI our son&#8217;s name isn&#8217;t Wolf anymore,&#8221; the Kylie Cosmetics founder explained. &#8220;We just really didn&#8217;t feel like it was him. Just wanted to share because I keep seeing Wolf everywhere,&#8221; she said with a praying hands emoji.
The 24 year old did not elaborate on what name they decided to use instead.
Jenner and Scott already share a 4-year-old daughter, Stormi, together. Just like she did before, the millionaire model released a video homage to her new baby detailing the baby shower, the nursery, and cameos from Kardashian-Jenner family members including Kris Jenner, Kim Kardashian and Khloe Kardashian sending their love. The nine-minute YouTube video was titled, “<a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jjXZJZ4F8Ak">To Our Son</a>.” 
Fans noticed some high-end details in the baby boy’s neutral-themed nursery including a $9,000 limited edition Louis Vuitton teddy bear from the 2004 collection. The newborn’s closet is also stocked with high-end designer shoes and other pricey fashion items.
His name was briefly Wolf, but the newborn’s baby shower was giraffe-themed, the video revealed. Stormi makes a few appearances in the video tribute playing with blocks in her baby brother’s new room.
Scott and Jenner started dating in 2017 before allegedly splitting in 2019 while continuing to co-parent Stormi amicably. They quietly reconciled in 2021, and not long after Jenner announced she was pregnant with the couple&#8217;s second baby.
The Kylie Cosmetics founder said she always felt called to have children.
&#8220;Motherhood really feels like something I was always meant to do,&#8221; the “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” alum told <a href="https://www.elle.com/beauty/a37758208/kylie-jenner-kylie-baby-interview/">Elle</a> in a September interview. &#8220;Watching Stormi experience everything for the first time has been the best part of these last few years.&#8221;
She followed up with some advice for parents.
&#8220;Be gentle with yourself. Motherhood is such a balancing act, and I just try to take one day at a time!&#8221;

The Grammy award-winning rapper has been all over the news lately thanks to his outspoken opinions and willingness to share them publicly. Ye’s comments have mostly been focused on his estranged wife, Kim Kardashian, in recent weeks. But now he’s turning his attention to fellow musician Billie Eilish.
West and Eilish are scheduled to headline the Coachella music festival together in April. But now the “Donda” rapper claims he’s going to back out unless Eilish apologizes to Travis Scott for an alleged diss she made against him during a recent performance.
It all started when a fan at the “Bad Guy” singer’s Atlanta show started showing signs of distress as the crowd got rowdy. A viral video of the event showed Eilish stop the show and ask from the stage if the fan was OK, then direct her stage crew to get the fan an inhaler. The video was getting a lot of attention with followers saying it’s so refreshing to see an artist who cares about the welfare of her fans so much. 
Later during the performance, Eilish took a <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/i-wait-for-people-to-be-ok-billie-eilish-subtly-shades-travis-scott-by-stopping-concert-to-give-fan-an-inhaler">thinly veiled shot</a> at Scott. “I wait for people to be okay before I keep going,” she said, earning loud cheers from concertgoers.
This likely referenced the Astroworld tragedy which resulted in the death of ten people and serious injuries to dozens more. It happened when a crowd of fans surged toward the stage during Scott’s performance. Fans there were squeezed together so tightly that they could neither breathe nor move their arms. Victims ranged from ages nine to 27.
Critics blamed Scott for making the situation worse by continuing his set even as chaos ensued. The rapper has been called out for celebrating serious injuries at his shows before.
Scott hasn’t addressed Eilish’s diss. But Ye had some thoughts about it.

Kanye also said that Travis would be joining him onstage at Coachella. This claim runs counter to a <a href="https://variety.com/2021/music/news/travis-scott-out-coachella-2022-performance-astroworld-1235131349/">report</a> that Scott will not be part of the lineup due to the Astroworld tragedy and fallout.

A Change.org petition was started in the days after the tragedy demanding that Scott be removed from the Coachella lineup. The petition has 65,000 signatures as of right now.
Besides Eilish and West, Harry Styles and Swedish House Mafia are scheduled to perform at Coachella. The sold out show has been rescheduled multiple times due to ongoing pandemic concerns. 
For now, the music festival is expected to happen in April at its usual spot in Indio, California, with West, Eilish, and Styles headlining and Scott not participating. But drama like this public feud may put the whole thing in jeopardy.

Kylie Jenner of &#8220;Keeping Up With the Kardashians&#8221; revealed the birth of her second child with Travis Scott on Sunday in a mysterious Instagram post noting the birth of baby two taking place on &#8220;2/2/22.&#8221;

“As 2022 is approaching i’ve been reflecting on this last year and the blessings that it brought but also the many heartaches it held,” Jenner <a href="https://www.instagram.com/p/CYK9M_IFkHA/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link" target="_blank" rel="noopener">wrote</a> alongside a photo of her baby bump on New Year’s Eve.
“I will never forget this year and all the significant changes it made to my life. I pray this new year is filled with a lot of love for all of you and i hope everyone stays safe and healthy during this time,&#8221; she added.
Jenner announced the anticipated arrival of her second child in a September video.

The gender and name of the new child have yet to be revealed, however, the blue heart in the post indicates the child is likely a boy.
The mysterious photo builds upon the secretive first pregnancy for the couple. In 2018, Jenner&#8217;s pregnancy was kept private, only announcing her daughter with Scott after the birth.
&#8220;I knew for myself I needed to prepare for this role of a lifetime in the most positive, stress free, and healthy way I knew how. No one denies that an unspeakable tragedy happened at Travis Scott’s “Astroworld” music festival in early November. But some of the more unique claims are a lot more sinister than just gross negligence. A few concertgoers alleged that the concert was rife with Satanic imagery and symbolism. These theories were spread widely on Twitter and TikTok.
These rumors eventually caught up with the rapper himself. Scott addressed the claims during a recent conversation with Charlamagne Tha God, which was the first time he’s spoken publicly about the disastrous concert that killed 10 people and injured more than 300.
According to <a href="https://www.newsweek.com/priest-compares-satanic-astroworld-gates-hell-travis-scott-1649617">Newsweek</a>, concert attendees described the overall vibe as “hellish.” There were also rumors that the entire tragedy was planned as a “blood sacrifice” with Scott as the instigator. The buzz became so strong on TikTok that the platform started removing any content alleging Scott designed the event as an intentional Satanic ritual, BBC <a href="https://www.bbc.com/news/newsbeat-59236471">reported</a>. They said these claims violated their &#8220;conspiracy theories used to justify hateful ideologies&#8221; guidelines.
&#8220;The entrance of the concert seemed to be the mouth of the singer and everyone had to kind of go in through that,&#8221; Father Michael Maginot told Fox News right after the incident.
&#8220;And certainly for a demon, the mouth is the prime part of one&#8217;s body that it would like to take over because it could communicate and talk,” he continued.
It didn’t help that the concert’s slogan was, “See you on the other side.” The entrance was also compared to Hieronymus Bosch&#8217;s &#8220;Christ in Limbo&#8221; painting.
Powerful images of Scott standing in front of the burning pyrotechnic display were submitted as additional proof of satanic symbolism. These images were taken while the performer allegedly ignored the pleas of concertgoers asking him to stop the show. But Scott made a point to deny these claims during his interview.
“I’m a man of God, that’s the first thing first,” the rapper told Charlamagne. He also claimed not to know people were in trouble during the concert.
“It wasn’t really until minutes until the press conference [after the show] until I figured out exactly what happened, you know? Even after the show, you’re just kind of hearing things, but I didn’t know the exact details until minutes before the press conference,” Scott explained. “And even at that moment, you’re kind of just like, ‘Wait, what?’ You just went through something.”
Scott later claimed he “double-checked to “make sure everyone was OK. I got a response everybody was OK,” he insisted.
Mostly, the rapper insisted he did nothing wrong. “I’m the face of the festival, I’m [an] artist, so yeah, the media … they want to put it on me, but at the end of the day, it’s like, I don’t think it’s more so about that, I think it’s more so about stepping up to figure out what the problem is. And I could take that,” he <a href="https://www.rollingstone.com/music/music-news/travis-scott-astroworld-interview-1269269/">told Charlamagne</a>.
“I could take stepping up to figure out what the problem is; I could take stepping out to figure out the solution is so that it never happened again.”

Asked about the reputation his shows have for being “ragers” and whether that could have contributed to the deadly crowd surge, Scott seemed to insist that high-energy and excitement are a necessary part of the experience. &#8220;In concerts, we’ve grown it to be just the experience of having fun. It’s not about just … harm. It’s not about that. It’s about just letting go and having fun.”
He also suggested it’s up to security professionals, not performers, to ensure events happen safely.
“[It’s] something I’ve been working on for a while, of just creating these experiences and trying to show, like, the experiences happening in a safe environment,” he said, adding “Us as artists, we trust professionals to make sure that things happen, that people leave safely. … And this night was just like a regular show, it felt like to me, as far as, like, you know, the energy. It didn’t feel like … people didn’t show up there to just be harmful.”
Scott has offered to pay funeral costs of all the victims, but about half the families have rejected that offer. One Houston law firm is seeking $10 billion in damages against Scott in a class action suit representing about 1,500 attendees and victims&#8217; families.
Scott’s team has denied the singer bears any legal liability and has filed a motion to dismiss.

‘People Pass Out, Things Happen At Concerts,’ Travis Scott Denies Fault In First Interview Since Astroworld Tragedy

Amid backlash, Hulu pulled a documentary about a Travis Scott music festival that resulted in ten deaths.
Last month, the Astroworld Festival in Houston turned <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/8-confirmed-dead-at-music-festival-after-crowd-surged-toward-stage-during-rapper-travis-scotts-set">fatal</a> when crowds “suddenly surged toward the stage during a performance by rapper Travis Scott, squeezing fans so tightly together that they could not breathe or move their arms,” according to the Associated Press. The youngest victim was a nine-year-old boy who was <a href="https://variety.com/2021/music/news/astroworld-victim-dies-9-year-old-tenth-fatality-1235112127/">kept</a> on life support for several days after the incident.
On Wednesday, however, Hulu posted a 50-minute documentary entitled “Astroworld: Concert From Hell,” which detailed the events surrounding the concert. Also on Wednesday, a tweet assuming that Hulu had produced the documentary gained tens of thousands of likes.
“Hulu making a documentary about Astroworld is in poor taste all around,” it said. “People are still burying their loved ones. The legal cases haven’t even started. Great documentaries are done when all the facts are laid out. Not enough time has passed to fully discuss this.”
As a result, Hulu clarified that it did not produce the film — and stated that it had nevertheless been pulled from the platform.
“This was an investigative local news special from ABC13/KTRK-TV in Houston that originally aired on November 20th,” a Hulu spokesperson told <a href="https://variety.com/2021/digital/news/hulu-pulls-astroworld-concert-from-hell-documentary-backlash-1235124470/">Variety</a>. “This was not a Hulu documentary and has since been removed to avoid confusion.”
An earlier report from CNN <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/this-was-not-a-concert-this-was-a-fight-for-survival-travis-scott-concertgoers-speak-of-horror-stampede">detailed</a> the chaos felt by concertgoers.
“The crowd became tighter and tighter, and at that point it was hard to breathe. When Travis came out performing his first song, I witnessed people passing out next to me,” said 20-year-old TK Tellez. “We were all screaming for help, and no one helped or heard us. It was horrifying. People were screaming for their lives, and they couldn’t get out. Nobody could move a muscle.”
“Everybody was crying; it was the scariest sound I’ve ever heard. … Imagine listening to Travis Scott and people screaming for their lives at the same time,” he said. “There was just not enough people to help everyone … Travis Scott would have a short time in between songs, and we would scream our vocal chords out so someone could hear us but nobody did. This year’s festival will be stuck with me forever. I’ve never seen someone die in front of my eyes. It was horrific.”
“I picked some kid up and his eyes rolled to the back of his head, so I checked his pulse. I knew he was dead,” explained Billy Nasser, who said he works as a disc jockey. “I checked the people around me. And I just had to leave him there, there was nothing I could do. I had to keep going. … Kids were dropping left and right. … There wasn’t enough security guards and there wasn’t enough EMTs and people helping out the crowd. The paramedics couldn’t even reach the crowd.”
After the tragedy, Nike <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/nike-delays-release-of-travis-scott-sneaker-in-light-of-astroworld-tragedy">postponed</a> the release of its planned Travis Scott sneaker line. Scott is also facing a <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/rapper-travis-scott-facing-multiple-lawsuits-over-astroworld-festival-carnage">deluge</a> of lawsuits, which also name rapper Drake, whose real name is Aubrey Drake Graham, as well as Live Nation and NRG Stadium.

Amid Backlash, Hulu Pulls Documentary About Deadly Travis Scott Concert

Athletic gear giant Nike announced Monday that it is postponing the release of a planned Travis Scott shoe in a show of sensitivity to those who were killed or injured at the rapper’s Astroworld music festival on November 5.
&#8220;Out of respect for everyone impacted by the tragic events at the Astroworld Festival, we are postponing the launch of the Air Max 1 x Cactus Jack,&#8221; the company said in a statement sent out to fans via its sneaker release app, &#8220;SNKRS.”
The company had announced the Nike x Travis Scott Air Max 270 “Cactus Trails” last year, showcasing a “vintage” design that featured a well-used look with what it called a &#8220;back-from-the-future&#8221; aesthetic. The shoe would have come in a variety of colors, with Nike’s classic swoosh logo reversed.
Ten people have now died as a result of crowds stampeding to the front of the arena during Scott’s performance, the youngest, only 9 years old.
A local fire chief has said the safety crew&#8217;s inability to reach struggling concert-goers sparked panic, and security was overwhelmed by the fan surge. According to eyewitnesses, the show continued for about 40 minutes after initial reports that people were being hurt reached first responders.
As The Daily Wire previously <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/travis-scott-had-a-history-of-mocking-injured-concertgoers-before-deadly-astroworld-incident">reported</a>, Scott had a history of making light of injuries at his concerts:
<blockquote>“TO THE KID THAT DIDNT SURVIVE THE RODEO. UR A HERO IN MU BOOK,” Scott wrote in a caption underneath a photo of a young man who passed out during Scott’s 2015 concert with Young Thug at Webster Hall in the East Village neighborhood of Manhattan. The photo was posted the day after the show. Just before that photo was posted, a video of Scott performing his song “Quintana in NYC” was posted to his page, with the caption “BEFORE A KID PASS OUT,” seemingly referring to the unconscious fan.
Another photo posted to Instagram several weeks after showed another fan passed out at the final concert of Scott’s 2015 tour. “Last day of tour was tonight very wild. To that kid who blackout. Ur a hero,” Scott captioned the post. Scott seemingly had a trend of calling the unconscious or injured fans “heroes.” Scott posted another picture in 2014, screencapped by TMZ, of a fan passed out at a show, with the simple caption, “WTF.” As of the publishing of the New York Post piece, the photos were still available on Scott’s Instagram page. As of the publishing of this article, they have been removed.
Scott also posted images of injured fans with captions. “SHE BROKE HER HAND AND SHE DOESN’T GIVE A F***!!!” read one caption. “IT’S NOT A SHOW UNTIL SOMEONE PASS OUT,” read another. Another image screencapped by the Post shows a young man smiling while bleeding from his eye, with the caption, “I love u.”</blockquote>
Multiple <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/rapper-travis-scott-facing-multiple-lawsuits-over-astroworld-festival-carnage">lawsuits</a> have already been filed against Scott, promoter Live Nation, and the venue, NRG Park. Houston police are investigating. But because the department was responsible for some crowd control duties at the festival, some are <a href="https://www.chron.com/news/article/Astroworld-Travis-Scott-crowd-surge-investigation-16624562.php">calling for</a> an independent probe.
