A new ad from the pro-women’s sports brand XX-XY Athletics went viral after it called out the athletic brand <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/nike" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Nike</a> for being silent about supporting female-only women&#8217;s sports amid the transgender insanity.
“Chills! Powerful ad by @xx_xyathletics in honor of Real Women’s Day tomorrow [Oct. 10],” former collegiate swimmer and outspoken women’s sports advocate <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/riley-gaines">Riley Gaines</a> wrote in her post on <a href="https://x.com/riley_gaines_/status/1844071677568901344?s=46&amp;t=yVg_AIbZC0FnyCtU4qPVYw">X</a>.
“It&#8217;s not hard to stand up for women and girls, so why won&#8217;t @Nike just do it?” she added.
Gaines &#8212; who is also brand ambassador for the company &#8212; made the post on Wednesday, and by Thursday, it had garnered 1.8 million views.

The ad, titled “Dear Nike,” features nearly a dozen girls of all different ages asking Nike simply, “Why won’t you stand up for me?”
“Why do you claim to support women and girls, yet when we need you most, you remain silent?” a group of the young girls say in the clip. “Today, males are claiming our identity, our sports, our spaces.”
“Men and boys are stealing opportunities, medals, trophies, and our future,” a few more girls add. “And it is not fair or just. In fact, it’s awfully dangerous, yet you refuse to use your platform to stand up. You say you’re for social justice and progress, so why do you allow men’s rights to come before ours?”
“See, with a big platform comes an even bigger responsibility,” the girls in the ad continue. “You have a chance to do the right thing, not just do the easy thing. So we’re asking you, Nike, as the biggest voice in all of sports, will you stand up for me? Will you just do it?”
A hashtag at the end of the ad reads, “#SaveWomensSports.&#8221;
Podcast host and journalist Megyn Kelly reacted to the ad, writing on <a href="https://x.com/megynkelly/status/1844153792260079747?s=46&amp;t=yVg_AIbZC0FnyCtU4qPVYw">X,</a> “Woah. Chills. Will you, @Nike?”
Former ESPN anchor <a href="https://x.com/sagesteele/status/1844075427104686172">Sage Steele</a> also saw the ad and wrote, “Wow.  LOVE this new ad called &#8216;Dear Nike&#8217; by @xx_xyathletis. Tomorrow is #XXDay so please join us in asking @Nike to do the right thing by standing up for girls &amp; women by keeping boys &amp; men OUT of our sports.”
She also credited the company’s founder, former top Levi executive Jennifer Sey, with doing a great job with the ad.
Sey — who was ousted as brand president at Levi Strauss &amp; Co. after more than 20 years with the company when she spoke out against COVID policy issues — shared <a href="https://x.com/JenniferSey/status/1844420092550844420">the ad</a> and wrote, “Hey @Nike will you actually do the right thing?”

On Monday, the Liberty Justice Center, famous for its victory in the 2018 case Janus v. John Parks, an Oregon track and field coach for 40 years, wrote an open letter proposing a separate division for transgender athletes in a track and field state championship. In June, he was fired by the Lake Oswego School District and the Lake Oswego School Board. He was accused of harassing transgender athletes at recent track meets, a claim Parks says is false.

“School employees do not lose their constitutional right to free speech when they step onto school grounds,” Buck Dougherty, Senior Counsel at the Liberty Justice Center, stated. “Coach Parks faced unjust and unconstitutional retaliation at the hands of the Lake Oswego School District and School Board. We urge the court to grant a preliminary injunction to uphold his First Amendment rights.”
In Janus, the Supreme Court held  that the State of Illinois’ “extraction of agency fees from nonconsenting public-sector employees violated the First Amendment,” <a href="https://www.oyez.org/cases/2017/16-1466">according</a> to Oyez, an exploration and archive of Supreme Court rulings, adding, “the Court concluded that the state’s collection of agency fees from nonconsenting public employees was a violation of the First Amendment &#8230; the Court stated that requiring individuals to endorse ideas they disagreed with runs counter to First Amendment principles, and that even under a more permissive standard than the ‘exacting’ strict scrutiny that the Court had applied in evaluating the constitutionality of agency fees in the past, the Illinois scheme could not pass muster.”

Utah State University has become the fourth college to protect their women’s volleyball team from playing against San Jose State University with a <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/transgender" target="_blank" rel="noopener">trans-identifying</a> male on the women&#8217;s team.
On Wednesday, a <a href="https://www.usu.edu/today/story/university-announces-volleyball-schedule-update">statement</a> from the school’s athletic department read, “Utah State University will not participate in its scheduled October 23, 2024, volleyball match at San Jose State University. The University will abide by Mountain West Conference policy regarding how this match is recorded.&#8221;
Former collegiate swimmer and advocate for women&#8217;s sports Riley Gaines praised the move by the school and wrote that it was the “fourth school to forfeit their match against SJSU due to a man playing on the women&#8217;s volleyball team. “It is essential that we preserve a space for women to compete fairly and safely,” he added. “Our female athletes are left grappling with this difficult issue because the NCAA has failed in its responsibility to protect female athletes and women’s sports. It’s time for the NCAA to take this seriously and protect our female student athletes.”
On Monday, the women’s volleyball team at the University of Wyoming became the third school to refuse to play against SJSU because of the California school&#8217;s <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/transgender">trans-identifying male</a> on the women’s team, as previously <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/university-womens-team-becomes-latest-to-refuse-to-play-against-trans-identifying-male">reported</a>.
In a statement posted on <a href="https://x.com/RealDanZak/status/1841229572886364624">X</a> from Wyoming Cowgirl Volleyball, the team stated, “After a lengthy discussion, the University of Wyoming will not play its scheduled conference match against San José State University in the UniWyo Sports Complex on Saturday, Oct. 5.”
“Per Mountain West Conference policy, the Conference will record the match as a forfeit and a loss for Wyoming,” the statement added. “The Cowgirls will host Fresno State on Thursday, Oct. 3 at 6:30 p.m. in the UniWyo Sports Complex.”
SJSU’s star volleyball player is a trans-identifying male who goes by the name of Blaire Fleming, OutKick’s David Hookstead previously <a href="https://x.com/dhookstead/status/1840089721877229584">reported</a>.

The Boise State women&#8217;s volleyball team announced on Friday that it would forfeit its match over the weekend against San Jose State.
&#8220;Boise State volleyball will not play its scheduled match at San José State on Saturday, Sept. 28,&#8221; the team said in a statement. &#8220;Per Mountain West Conference policy, the Conference will record the match as a forfeit and a loss for Boise State.&#8221;
The team, 8-5 overall and 0-1 in the Mountain West Conference, will play their next game against Air Force on October 3.
Outkick sports reporter David Hookstead said that sources told him that the team forfeited the game &#8220;because the team’s best player is a male.&#8221;

In a post on Friday on <a href="https://x.com/Martina/status/1832095979778023894">X</a>, Navratilova wrote that it is not “hate” to show support for only women in female sports, and she shared the headline from <a href="https://www.sportskeeda.com/tennis/news-new-controversy-us-open-aryna-sabalenka-s-fitness-coach-jason-stacy-comes-fire-donning-hat-pro-women-brand-xx-xy-athletics">Sportskeeda</a> that read, “New controversy at US Open as Aryna Sabalenka&#8217;s fitness coach Jason Stacy comes under fire for donning hat from pro-women brand ‘XX-XY Athletics.’”
“Thank you Jason [Stacy] for supporting women’s sports- being pro women is not hate, it’s actually progressive,” the tennis legend wrote.
XX-XY Athletics derives its name from the chromosomes XY for males and XX for females. The brand was founded by former Levi president Jennifer Sey. The mission statement on the company’s website reads, “Introducing the only athletic brand that stands up for women’s sports.”

In another post on Friday on <a href="https://x.com/Martina/status/1832122772690235795">X</a>, Navratilova reposted a post that noted the size and power of trans-identifying male volleyball player Blaire Fleming from the Iowa Hawkeyes vs. San Jose State&#8217;s women&#8217;s volleyball game.
“Is it fair for these women who have worked so hard to be dominated by a mediocre male player?” the person asked. The tennis legend responded, “Not just unfair but dangerous and not sustainable. At this rate so many women athletes will be erased.”
Navratilova&#8217;s stance against biological males playing in women’s sports is not new. She previously made headlines when she went viral after she took a swipe at trans-identifying males who felt is was acceptable to compete against women.
“Women’s sports is not the place for mediocre male athletes who compete as women,” Navratilova wrote on <a href="https://x.com/Martina/status/1727083614859673950?s=20">X</a> .“Period.”

World Darts Federation has threatened female competitors with disciplinary action if they refuse to compete against <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/transgender" target="_blank" rel="noopener">trans-identifying</a> males.
Ahead of this year’s World Championship, the WDF issued a statement that made it clear the federation will not tolerate any woman who forfeits their match because they have to play against a biological male, months after British female darts player Deta Hedman did just that, <a href="https://www.yahoo.com/news/female-darts-players-threatened-disciplinary-092951117.html">Yahoo News</a> reported.
“The WDF wishes to clarify its position on player withdrawals,” the statement read.
“Once the first dart has been thrown in a tournament, any player that subsequently withdraws from playing a match may be considered to be bringing the game into disrepute and could face disciplinary action,” it added.

In May, Hedman made headlines after she dropped out of her darts competition in Denmark after having to face transgender competitor Noa-Lynn van Leuven in the quarterfinals. Hedman forfeited her game and later went on social media to explain that &#8220;biological born men&#8221; should not &#8220;compete in Women’s sport.”

“No fake illness, I said I wouldn’t play a man in a ladies event,” Hedman wrote on X, the <a href="https://nypost.com/2024/05/07/sports/british-female-darts-player-deta-hedman-refuses-to-play-transgender-opponent-forfeits-match/">New York Post</a> noted.
Last month, Hedman withdrew from another competition after learning she would face another transgender opponent, Yahoo News noted.
Following the release of the WDF&#8217;s statement, Hedman told Telegraph Sport she felt that it was directed right at her, the outlet noted.
“When that statement went out, I felt it was aimed at me,” the British darts player said. “They haven’t shown any regard for the mental health of anyone female-born at all.”
“It’s all about the mental health of transgender women,” she added. “They have not once come to us ladies and asked how we are feeling about it. We’re having to stand up to say, ‘This is how we feel.'&#8221;
She also talked about dropping out in May due to her “mental health” after being told she must compete against a biological male.
“It’s been affecting me for a very, very long time,” Hedman told the outlet. “And, when it did happen, I just broke down. I was a mess, an absolute mess.”

On Monday, the biological male runner qualified for the Women&#8217;s 400m T12 semi-finals at the Paris Paralympic Games.

Others on <a href="https://x.com/Sorelle_Arduino/status/1830544395495522787">social media</a> said it wasn’t just that Petrillo was cheating because he was a biological male competing against women, but that he was not dealing with the same sight impairments like his female counterparts who were in the competition.
“Notice that the women around Petrillo are running with guides because of their sight impairments,” the person noted, along with video. “His [Petrillo] sight is good enough he doesn’t need a guide A cheating f**king man destroying women’s sports.”
While the <a href="https://x.com/WomensRightsNet/status/1830499205695054189">Women’s Right’s Network</a> called Petrillo’s inclusion &#8220;A RACE TO THE BOTTOM.”
The post noted that “Petrillo has previously won medals running in men’s events. Now that he’s 50 and out of shape, he uses his male physiological advantage against female runners.”
“A woman has already lost a deserved place at the Paralympics because of the ego and shamelessness of this man,” it added. “Now, women are likely to lose out on a chance in the final and podium spots, along with medals, not against a better female runner, but against a cheating man.”

Davidson, who is male and formerly <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/trans-golfer-who-played-on-mens-college-team-snags-womens-title-eyes-lpga" target="_blank" rel="noopener">played</a> golf on a men’s college team, took to Instagram to suggest his participation in female golf is fair and acceptable since he wasn&#8217;t the best golfer at Qualifying School.
&#8220;Every year I have played at Q School, the players have gotten longer and longer to where I was being outdriven by 40 yards consistently in the final round yesterday by one player,&#8221; Davidson posted online, Fox News <a href="https://www.foxnews.com/sports/transgender-golfer-hailey-davidson-fires-back-massive-lie-hopes-earning-lpga-tour-card-increase">noted</a>. &#8220;Honestly I love seeing it though, especially since there is this massive lie out there that I am outdriving everyone, which is just so very far from the truth and reality.&#8221;

&#8220;Clearly conservative media needs to give these amazing female athletes WAY more credit rather than belittle them and their capabilities all in an attempt to attack transgender athletes,&#8221; he posted.
As Davidson inches closer to qualifying for the LPGA, some female athletes are calling foul. Former collegiate swimmer <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/riley-gaines" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Riley Gaines</a> tore into Georgia Tech President, Dr. Angel Cabrera, for failing to intervene when it became clear that the NCAA was going to allow a biological male to not only compete against the females, but to have full access to their locker rooms while they were changing as well.
Gaines spoke on Tuesday before the Georgia General Assembly’s Special Committee on Protecting Women’s Sports, where she called Cabrera out for allowing trans-identifying swimmer Lia Thomas to compete against and change alongside the women who had worked their entire lives to get to the NCAA championship. Prior to her appearance, <a href="https://www.foxnews.com/sports/riley-gaines-rips-georgia-tech-president-remarks-lawmakers-why-didnt-you-protect-me" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Fox News Digital</a> obtained a copy of her prepared remarks.
&#8220;Dr. Cabrera, you knew that a 6’4&#8243; fully intact man was coming to compete against me, my teammates, and my competitors in the 2022 NCAA Division I Women’s Swimming &amp; Diving National Championships. Do you have a daughter? You could have stopped it, you could have at least said, ‘not here, not on the campus of Georgia Tech University,’ but you did not,&#8221; Gaines said. &#8220;You had the chance at the outset to bring a sane, rational, science-based perspective to the protection of women’s sport, but you looked the other way, and you did nothing. Why didn’t you intervene? The scientific evidence for immense male performance advantages in sport is overwhelming — I don&#8217;t have to explain that to you or this committee, but you ignored the science to the harm of women.&#8221;
Gaines went on to say that officials had known Thomas, still a fully-intact male, would be changing in close proximity to the women — and that they would have no ability to escape the situation.

I did not even know he had access to the women’s locker room until I heard a man’s voice and turned around and saw him a few feet in front of me, and I was unclothed. You allowed college women to be traumatized on your campus in this way. Why didn’t you protect me? Why didn’t you protect us?&#8221;
Gaines called on Cabrera to respond, saying that the Georgia Tech President could &#8220;redeem&#8221; himself by speaking up now, adding, &#8220;Thousands of women across this country and hundreds of girls who dream of swimming for the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets and more broadly who dream of competing in sports at all look forward to your response.&#8221;

Months later, NXXT Golf announced it would change its rules to disqualify males like Davidson.

The network, which is owned by The Walt Disney Company, claimed they fired Ponder, along with Robert Griffin III, <a href="https://www.nbcsports.com/nfl/profootballtalk/rumor-mill/news/espn-fires-nfl-sunday-countdown-host-sam-ponder" target="_blank" rel="noopener">due</a> to &#8220;financial reasons.&#8221;
However, social media platform X was rife with outrage about the host&#8217;s abrupt firing. Some noted that Ponder was the only female at the network speaking out about the vital gender issue, specifically when it comes to sports. It was also highlighted that former ESPN personality Sage Steele was similarly fired after she voiced some conservative opinions.

Speaking Tuesday on OutKick&#8217;s “<a href="https://www.outkick.com/shows/dont-me-with-dan-dakich">Don’t @ Me With Dan Dakich</a>” <a href="https://www.outkick.com/sports/kirk-herbstreit-men-womens-sports-opinion-dan-dakich">podcast</a>, the College GameDay analyst said he has four sons and doesn’t have a daughter, but said he’s tired of not speaking out against men in women’s sports for fear of being canceled.
&#8220;I&#8217;ve been biting my tongue on a lot of topics for three years,&#8221; Herbstreit said. &#8220;I happened to see somebody say what he said, and he said, ‘Should men be able to play in women’s sports?&#8217; And I just said, ‘Ridiculous question, of course not.’”

Time for influential men in sports media to stand up, Kirk,” <a href="https://www.outkick.com/sports/kirk-herbstreit-men-womens-sports">OutKick</a> noted.
The broadcaster saw the post and replied, retweeting the person’s question and answered, “Of course not. Ridiculous question.”
His comments were met with praise by others who agreed that it’s wrong for men to compete against women in female sports, including former ESPN host Sage Steele, who left the network in 2023.
Steele shared Herbstreit’s post and <a href="https://x.com/sagesteele/status/1820895019621867678">added</a> an “applause” emoji.
