A trans-identifying man in Canada is on the streets again after he was arrested for allegedly stabbing his two young children earlier this month, leaving the eight-year-old on a feeding tube.
Alice Micheal Attwood, 35, was <a href="https://www.dailyheraldtribune.com/news/grande-prairie-parent-charged-with-aggravated-assault-child-at-stollery-recovering-from-knife-wounds" target="_blank" rel="noopener">charged</a> with aggravated assault after his two children suffered knife wounds on February 19 in Grand Prairie, Alberta.
One child, age eight, was <a href="https://globalnews.ca/news/11047732/grande-prairie-children-stabbed/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">taken</a> to the hospital with a severed esophagus and will be on a feeding tube for several months. The other child, age seven, suffered minor knife wounds. Both children are reportedly in stable condition.
Attwood identifies as a &#8220;transwoman&#8221; and &#8220;genderfluid,&#8221; as well as a &#8220;leftist,&#8221; and uses &#8220;they/she/he&#8221; pronouns, <a href="https://www.facebook.com/reel/581350857734961" target="_blank" rel="noopener">according</a> to <a href="https://www.facebook.com/reel/585860344134885" target="_blank" rel="noopener">multiple</a> <a href="https://www.instagram.com/ravenfortruth/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">posts</a> on his <a href="https://www.instagram.com/p/DB7RF-iPTId/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">social</a> media accounts.

Attwood was initially arrested and released with a court date. However, his family was <a href="https://www.dailyheraldtribune.com/news/grande-prairie-parent-charged-with-aggravated-assault-child-at-stollery-recovering-from-knife-wounds" target="_blank" rel="noopener">concerned</a> he was still a safety threat, so they successfully petitioned for a psychiatric hold that allows a doctor to keep someone for 30 days. Attwood was kept in the hospital for several days, but he was released again on Tuesday, earlier than his family hoped.
In a Facebook live <a href="https://www.facebook.com/watch/live/?mibextid=wwXIfr&amp;ref=watch_permalink&amp;v=648551841020764&amp;rdid=y9eSlT0InZ7IQyEf" target="_blank" rel="noopener">video</a> recorded by a man who confronted Attwood at his home after the incident, Attwood identified himself by name and appeared to admit to hurting his children.
&#8220;I felt super stuck, and so I stabbed my child &#8217;cause I was scared we were going to get picked up by human traffickers,&#8221; Attwood told the man recording.
&#8220;I stabbed my daughter in the shoulder, that&#8217;s what I did, above her clavicle,&#8221; Attwood said. &#8220;I felt like I was possessed or something, like I lost my mind.&#8221;
Attwood said he did not intend to kill his children but that he wanted to &#8220;get my kids out of this situation.&#8221;
&#8220;So why&#8217;d you stab your kid? To get them out of what situation?&#8221; the man recording asked.
&#8220;Being f***ing stuck with me,&#8221; Attwood responded. &#8220;I&#8217;ve been trying to tell people, I can&#8217;t just have these kids.&#8221;
&#8220;I was a good parent,&#8221; he added later.
&#8220;I feel like I got f***ing isolated here,&#8221; he said, adding that people are rarely able to watch his children and that his car is broken.
Later in the video, Attwood said he &#8220;wanted to have my kids before I transitioned&#8221; and that &#8220;being trans isn&#8217;t a mental problem. I have other mental problems.&#8221;
&#8220;Just do some soul-searching man, and pray to God, man, and repent,&#8221; the man recording told him.
&#8220;I am, I am,&#8221; Attwood responded.
In one <a href="https://www.facebook.com/reel/958382149549331" target="_blank" rel="noopener">post</a>, Attwood said he had been on leave from work for years and collects government disability benefits from his EMT job with Alberta Health Services.
A GoFundMe account for Attwood set up last year <a href="https://www.gofundme.com/f/donations-for-debt-relief-current-bills-and-food" target="_blank" rel="noopener">raised</a> about $1,640. On the fundraiser page, Attwood described struggling to care for his two youngest children by himself while being separated from his partner, ending up homeless twice, and suffering with fibromyalgia.
He described wanting to get certifications for some kind of work, but said &#8220;I don&#8217;t have the energy to get into a regular workforce job again.&#8221;
Attwood said he also made money giving &#8220;oracle readings&#8221; to people, <a href="https://www.facebook.com/reel/958382149549331" target="_blank" rel="noopener">according</a> to social media posts.
On his YouTube channel, Attwood has <a href="https://www.youtube.com/@Ravenfortruth/videos" target="_blank" rel="noopener">recorded</a> lengthy &#8220;podcasts&#8221; with various LGBT guests that garnered a few dozen views each.
His social media is filled with pro-transgender and anti-Trump posts, as well as videos of himself talking about political issues.
Attwood has a court date on March 13 in Grande Prairie, Alberta.

The United States government is set to spend over $1.5 million in taxpayer money bankrolling a far-left group&#8217;s LGBT mentorship program for children as young as 12 years old in Los Angeles and on-campus activism for K-12 students.
The Lifeworks Mentorship program is one of the initiatives from the Los Angeles LGBT Center that’s benefiting from the financial backing of the federal government, with the Department of Health and Human Services agreeing to put up nearly a million dollars in support of it.
“The LifeWorks one-on-one mentoring program gives LGBTQ+ youth ages 24 and under the opportunity to be matched with an adult in the community,” a <a href="https://lalgbtcenter.org/services/youth-services/lifeworks-mentorship-program/">description</a> from the Los Angeles LGBT Center states, with their site <a href="https://lifeworksla.org/?utm_medium=referral&amp;utm_source=idealist">specifying</a> that children as young as 12 years old can be involved. “Each mentorship is unique, and consists of everything from short- and long-term goal setting, to building their understanding of the LGBTQ+ community.”
The program is framed as a way to give young people role models when families are “not accepting” of “queer youth,” with one mentor saying that “a lot of us have gone through a period of self-parenting.”
“There’s kind of an orphaned quality to LGBTQ youth, because you very rarely have someone to model after,” one mentor said in a <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AhQ3sy6er6M&amp;t=5s">video</a> from the organization, with a mentee adding that “there’s just such high rates of family not accepting queer youth.”
The federal government granted  <a href="https://www.usaspending.gov/award/ASST_NON_H79SP082182_7522">$910,000</a> in support of the program, with the funds coming from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Administration, a subagency of the HHS. Most of the grant, $574,000, has already been disbursed, with another $336,000 set to be given to the organization before the conclusion of the grant term in August 2025.
The program isn’t the only effort from the Los Angeles LGBT Center that is backed by the American taxpayer. The organization is set to receive two more grants in the amounts of <a href="https://www.usaspending.gov/award/ASST_NON_NH28CE002689_7523">$250,000</a> and <a href="https://www.usaspending.gov/award/ASST_NON_H79SP080136_7523">$375,000</a> from the HHS, both of which will fund the Lifeworks Community Action Network.
Though the grant site doesn’t detail the program or its operations, the Los Angeles LGBT Center <a href="https://schools.lalgbtcenter.org/community-action-network-can/#">explains</a> that the Community Action Network bolsters LGBT activism at middle and high school campuses.
“CAN works with GSA and LGBTQ clubs on school campuses supporting middle and high school students, helping students and advisors strengthen their school clubs by providing tools on sustainability and recruitment, meeting formats and agendas, and club connectivity, among other things,” the group states, adding that LGBT activists are “trained in facilitation skills to build community and create social change, thereby supporting students on their campuses.”
The training topics range from “LGBTQ competency and awareness,” substance abuse prevention, and “safe spaces and inclusivity.” Both of the two grant terms end in 2027, with funding yet to be disbursed.
The Los Angeles LGBT Center did not respond to a request for comment.
The organization has raked in taxpayer dollars despite being flush with cash, the entity’s <a href="https://projects.propublica.org/nonprofits/organizations/953567895">IRS 990 forms</a> indicate. The organization enjoyed a revenue of $162 million in 2023 and paid its previous CEO a salary of $780k, while its chief of staff pulled in $544k. Eleven employees made over $215k each.
The leftwing, taxpayer-funded organization engages in <a href="https://lalgbtcenter.org/programs/policy-advocacy/take-action/">ideologically-driven activism</a> that directly opposes the policies of the current administration. The group claims that President Donald Trump “has pushed for policies that will target LGBTQ+ immigrants” and “threaten the safety and rights of LGBTQ+ immigrants” and also advocates for children to undergo irreversible medical interventions that seek to change their sex despite the risk of sterilization.

Coca-Cola is being blasted as “Woka-Cola” in an ad campaign highlighting the company&#8217;s support for men playing in women’s sports and its diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) agenda.
The ad campaign from Consumers’ Research hones in on the company’s leftwing advocacy and will feature a mobile billboard moving around Coca-Cola’s headquarters and museum in Atlanta.
&#8220;Coca-Cola should just call itself &#8216;Woka-Cola&#8217; since it insists on putting woke politics ahead of its consumers,&#8221; Consumers&#8217; Research Executive Director Will Hild told The Daily Wire. &#8220;Americans have made it abundantly clear that they want companies to stop pushing radical political agendas, but Coca-Cola refuses to listen.&#8221;
Consumers’ Research also sent out a “<a href="https://consumersresearch.org/woke-alert/woke-alert-coca-cola/">woke alert</a>” highlighting Coca-Cola’s corporate advocacy for allowing men to play in women’s sports leagues and their broader support for the transgender movement. The organization previously <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bmmnKdU2sok">hit</a> the corporation over their support for DEI and their links to China.
Coca-Cola now sits on the <a href="https://www.sporthumanrights.org/about-us/advisory-council/#:~:text=The%20Coca%2DCola%20Company">advisory council</a> of the Centre for Sport and Human Rights (<a href="https://www.sporthumanrights.org/">CSHR</a>), a leftist organization that advocates for “the inclusion of transgender athletes” in leagues that do not reflect their biological sex.
The group celebrated “the first openly transgender woman to compete” in the Olympics, male bodybuilder Laurel Hubbard.

CSHR is also behind a <a href="https://www.sporthumanrights.org/media/axxlyzgc/host-cities-gender-inclusion.pdf">guide</a> on “transgender, nonbinary, and intersex inclusion” at the 2026 FIFA World Cup. The guide says boys to be allowed to play in girls’ youth soccer leagues, requires the use of gender neutral language, and encourages FIFA to “diversify hiring practices.”
“Instead of backing away from unfair and unpopular positions like men in women’s sports and racist DEI policies, Coca-Cola has senselessly decided it cares more about catering to woke activists than sound business decisions,” Hild said.
But Coca-Cola’s allegiance to the transgender movement doesn’t end with the CSHR. The Coca-Cola Foundation also <a href="https://www.coca-colacompany.com/content/dam/company/us/en/reports/pdf/2023-TCCF-Tax-Return-Form-990.pdf">gave $150,000</a> to the Transgender Law Center (TLC) to back “leadership development and skill building for transgender activists and allies.” The far-left TLC has also filed an <a href="https://www.aclu.org/cases/l-w-v-skrmetti?document=Amicus-Brief-of-Trans-and-Queer-Advocacy-Groups-in-Support-of-Petitioner-United-States-and-LW#legal-documents">amicus brief</a> against Tennessee’s law defending children from medical sex-change interventions, including cross-sex hormone therapies and surgeries that threaten to sterilize children.
The corporation also backed the Trevor Project, a far-left organization that advocates for children undergoing irreversible transgender medical procedures, to the tune of at least a <a href="https://www.thetrevorproject.org/corporate-partners/#:~:text=Platinum%20Tier,%24250K%2B">quarter million dollars</a>. The organization runs a <a href="https://consumersresearch.org/woke-alert/woke-alert-disney-bank-of-america-nascar-chipotle-kohls-gm/">secretive online chat site</a> for children who believe that they are the opposite gender, children to discuss their sexuality with adults without their parents’ knowledge.
Coca-Cola <a href="https://startout.org/sponsors/">gave</a> another $50,000 to a far-left organization called Startout, which is dedicated to “empowering LGBTQ+ entrepreneurs” who will become an “essential driver of inclusivity and social progress.” And the <a href="https://www.instagram.com/momentumww/p/DBJkXuvo-L7/?img_index=1">Atlanta Pride Festival</a> counted Coca-Cola among its partners in October 2024. The event featured a “family fun zone” and a drag queer story hour for young children.
The corporation’s adherence to leftwing dogmas extends beyond transgenderism and to the DEI agenda, with Coca-Cola <a href="https://investors.coca-colacompany.com/filings-reports/proxy-statements/content/0001558370-24-003468/0001558370-24-003468.pdf">claiming</a> that the ideological approach was a “strategic business priority” that was “critical to the company’s success.” The corporation opposed one <a href="https://www.ajc.com/news/business/ups-coke-and-home-depot-shareholders-try-to-force-dei-changes/YOZYKGO7ZREAJNK3LVFPJAKX54/">shareholder proposal</a> that would have prompted the company to issue a report exploring if its DEI policies created legal issues pertaining to race and sex-based discrimination.
Coca-Cola is also making effort to diversify its leadership in the name of DEI, <a href="https://www.coca-colacompany.com/social/diversity-and-inclusion">writing</a> that &#8220;it is our aspiration by 2030 to have women hold 50% of senior leadership roles at the company and in the U.S. to have race and ethnicity representation reflect national census data at all levels.&#8221;
A wide <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/meta-axes-dei-programs-in-the-lead-up-to-trumps-inauguration">range</a> of companies have recently <a href="https://www.cnn.com/2024/11/25/business/walmart-dei-rollback/index.html">dropped</a> their DEI programs in the midst of a broader cultural shift against the ideology. Now Consumers’ Research says that it is time for “Woka-Cola” to follow suit.
“If Coca-Cola wants to win back the trust of consumers, it must end its woke ways. Until then, Consumers’ Research will continue to put these companies on blast,” Hild said.

The federal government is spending a quarter of a million taxpayer dollars to <a href="https://www.transrurallives.org/about-trl">celebrate</a> &#8220;transrural&#8221; Americans — older people who live in rural areas and identify as transgender.
The National Endowment for the Humanities <a href="https://www.usaspending.gov/award/ASST_NON_RZ30005024_4340">granted</a> $247,000 for &#8220;The TransRural Lives Project,&#8221; a &#8220;digital storytelling project exploring and celebrating the lives of transgender older adults who live in or have strong ties to rural areas and small towns in the Pacific Northwest.&#8221; The program is run by professors from Central Washington University in conjunction with <a href="https://www.helen-house.org/">Helen House</a>, an organization that operates out of a residential home and invites children as young as 13 to meetups.
“Helen House gives power to, and validates, SOGIE youth and young adults ages 13 to 24, fostering self-exploration, self-expression, and self-acceptance,” the organization’s website reads.
President Donald Trump recently signed an <a href="https://www.whitehouse.gov/briefings-statements/2025/01/fact-sheet-president-donald-j-trump-protects-civil-rights-and-merit-based-opportunity-by-ending-illegal-dei/">executive order</a> intended to purge diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) from the federal government and end any federal spending in support of the DEI agenda in academia and the private sector. A spokesman for Central Washington University told The Daily Wire that the federal funding for the &#8220;TransRural Lives Project&#8221; has not been affected, however.
The three-year project, which won the federal contract at the tail end of the Biden administration, is <a href="https://www.transrurallives.org/people">helmed</a> by M. Eliatamby-O&#8217;Brien, an Associate Professor in Central Washington University&#8217;s English Department who uses “they/them” pronouns. “Their research focuses on the experiences of gender, sexual, and racially-minoritized forced migrants through engagement with digital life narratives, digital storytelling, and multimodal rhetorics,” Brian’s biography reads.
The project has already collected the stories of multiple men who identify as women and live in the Pacific Northwest. “Veronica Steed is a 65-year-old white, crossdresser who came out around 2000,” <a href="https://www.transrurallives.org/stories/veronica">one story</a> reads, with another biography focusing on Elior, “an activist whose been feeling pretty burnt out for a few years now.”
The National Endowment for the Humanities did not respond to a request for comment. Central Washington University declined to comment.
This isn’t the first time the federal government has allocated taxpayer dollars to far-left, pro-transgender causes. The Department of Agriculture agreed to spend $50,000 of taxpayer money on an organization that works to “diversify the outdoors” by hosting LGBT-specific wilderness conservation trips for teenagers, The Daily Wire <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/federal-government-set-to-pay-50k-to-encourage-lgbt-teen-wilderness-conservation-efforts">reported</a>. And the Department of Health and Human Services approved a <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/federal-government-to-spend-700k-on-trans-inclusive-sex-ed-for-14-year-olds">$700,000 grant</a> to create “an inclusive teen pregnancy program for transgender boys.”
“Youth who are assigned female at birth … are at risk for negative sexual health outcomes yet are effectively excluded from sexual health programs because gender-diverse youth do not experience the cisgender, heteronormative teen sexual education messaging available to them as salient or applicable,” the award description reads.

A Southern California school district paid far-left transgender activists $12,000 for a six-hour training on transgender inclusion, a contract obtained by The Daily Wire reveals.
The activists administered the training on behalf of an organization called <a href="https://transfamilysos.org/">TransFamily Support Services</a>, which was paid the five-figure sum by the San Dieguito Union High School District, located in northern San Diego County.
“In just six hours, <a href="https://www.instagram.com/explore/tags/teamtfss/">#TeamTFSS</a> trained 1,100 staff members across the entire San Dieguito Union High School District! “We need our teachers and staff to be equipped to support and include trans youth, creating the space for them to feel safe and know that they’re valued at school,” it goes on to say. Images in the post indicate that the training was led by two activists with the far-left organization.
&#8220;There is no justification for a school district engaging with this organization that is steeped in pseudoscience, ideology and deception of parents,” Erika Sanzi, the Director of Outreach at Parents Defending Education told The Daily Wire.
TransFamily Support Services encourages children to identify as the opposite sex and provides them with binders and packers through its “<a href="https://transfamilysos.org/gender-junk/">Gender Junk</a>” program. “With the help of grants, we assist transgender youth in need to feel more at home in their bodies and alleviate gender dysphoria,” the organization states.
The group offers to provide the items to children who don’t have &#8220;affirming families” that will purchase them the items.
The far-left organization has also endorsed the use of irreversible surgeries and medical interventions for children who identify as transgender. Olson-Kennedy <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/celebrated-trans-doctor-sued-for-medical-negligence-over-removal-of-14-year-old-girls-breasts">is now being sued</a> for medical negligence over the removal of a 14-year-old girl’s breasts. She is the<a href="https://www.dailysignal.com/2023/05/09/exclusive-republicans-demand-answers-nih-transgender-youth-experiments-study-left-2-dead-others-sterilized/"> co-author</a> of a study funded by the National Institutes of Health on the psychological effects of cross sex hormone therapy on youth. Two participants in the<a href="https://www.dailysignal.com/2023/05/09/exclusive-republicans-demand-answers-nih-transgender-youth-experiments-study-left-2-dead-others-sterilized/"> study</a> committed suicide, while another 11 experienced suicidal ideation.
Also present at the event co-hosted by TransFamily Support Services was Johanna Olson-Kennedy’s significant other, Aydin Olson-Kennedy. Aydin, who identifies as transgender, doesn’t believe that children should have to get approval letters from therapists before undergoing medical transitions, and even <a href="https://web.archive.org/web/20170220090227/https://gendertrender.wordpress.com/2015/08/21/aydin-olson-kennedy-msw-urges-gender-surgery-for-down-syndrome-child-in-intensive-care-unit/">promoted a fundraiser</a> to allow a person with Down syndrome to get a double mastectomy.
One potential step to curtail the influence of far-left organizations on public schools could be to federally mandate increased transparency around outside contracting organizations, Sanzi explained.
&#8220;The federal government could require more transparency around curriculum and contracts with consultants and vendors as a way to disincentivize partnerships with these kinds of organizations—failure to comply with transparency requirements could put funding at risk.&#8221;
The Daily Wire asked the San Dieguito Union High School District if staff members refer students who identify as transgender to the outside organization but did not receive a response.

Tennessee Attorney General Johnathan Skrmetti held a press conference on the steps of the Supreme Court on Wednesday after arguing in favor of the state’s law defending children from irreversible sex change interventions, explaining that it is about protecting kids from medical interventions that could lead to long-standing harm.
Skrmetti’s comments came after he appeared in front of the nation’s highest court to defend the Tennessee law, which was passed after The Daily Wire investigated Vanderbilt University’s child sex change clinic.
“This case is about protecting kids from the consequences of decisions that they cannot fully understand,” Skrmetti said before explaining the risks associated with medical sex change interventions.
“Kids on puberty blockers and hormone treatments for gender dysphoria face serious risks of losing their fertility forever, of losing their sexual function forever, of dealing with medical conditions for the rest of their lives including blood clots, tumors, bone density disorders, cognitive development impairment, and others,” he went on to say.

“The medicalization of youth gender dysphoria has moved very far, very fast over recent years. The number of cases has exploded. One researcher identified a 4,000% increase in the number of adolescent girls seeking hormone treatment.”
“This explosion in cases has been driven by ideological pressure, not by medical evidence,” Skrmetti added.
Current reports speculate that the Supreme Court is likely to side with Skrmetti and uphold the Volunteer State’s law protecting children from irreversible sex change interventions, given their lines of questioning during Wednesday’s oral arguments.
Chief Justice John Roberts, Justice Amy Coney Barrett, and Justice Brett Kavanaugh “all seemed to come down on Tennessee&#8217;s side,” an <a href="https://www.axios.com/2024/12/04/supreme-court-trans-health-care">analysis</a> in Axios reads, adding that Justices Clarence Thomas and Samuel Alito are unlikely to oppose the ban.
Kavanaugh gave perhaps the clearest indication of his position, pointing to the strict regulation of these interventions in various European countries and saying that the Supreme Court should not &#8220;constitutionalize&#8221; the ongoing medical debate.

A judge on Monday upheld a <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/missouri" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Missouri</a> law that bans doctors from performing transgender procedures on children. 
Cole County Circuit Judge R. Craig Carter <a href="https://ago.mo.gov/wp-content/uploads/Noe-v.-Parson-trial-order.pdf" target="_blank" rel="noopener">ruled</a> that the state’s Save Adolescents from Experimentation (SAFE) Act does not violate the constitution, siding with GOP Governor Mike Parson, who was sued over the law. The law bans giving minors puberty blockers, cross-sex hormones, and performing surgeries like mastectomies on girls who identify as boys. 
Carter’s decision, which cited the numerous medical risks and dangers of transgender procedures, comes before the U.S. Supreme Court is set to hear oral arguments on a challenge to a similar law in Tennessee on December 4. 
“The Court has left Missouri’s law banning child mutilation in place, a resounding victory for our children. We are the first state in the nation to successfully defend such a law at the trial court level,” said Attorney General Andrew Bailey, who defended the law in a two-week trial. “I’m extremely proud of the thousands of hours my office put in to shine a light on the lack of evidence supporting these irreversible procedures. We will never stop fighting to ensure Missouri is the safest state in the nation for children.”
The suit was brought by the ACLU of Missouri and Lambda Legal on behalf of a parent and her minor child. 
Carter rejected arguments that the treatments were medically backed and that Missouri’s law violated the equal protection clause. He said that there was “an almost total lack of consensus as to the medical ethics of adolescent gender dysphoria treatment.”
He argued that if he followed the logic of the plaintiffs, “any person – including a minor – would be able to do anything from meth, to ecstasy, to abortion as long as a single medical professional was willing to recommend it.”

Carter pointed to research showing that many minors naturally outgrow gender dysphoria and noted the medical harms of the procedures. 
“The gender dysphoria treatment prohibited by Missouri uses drugs and surgeries to either inhibit normal healthy human growth or surgically remove and replace healthy human organs,” he wrote. “Such an approach to treatment is well outside normal medicine, and medical ethicists are unable to agree on the propriety thereof.”
Missouri is one of 26 states that have banned transgender procedures on minors in recent years.

The Biden-Harris Department of Health and Human Services consulted left-wing transgender activists as it sought to further “LGBTQI accessibility,” with one activist even calling for families that do not accept a child’s gender identity to be prosecuted in a video reviewed by The Daily Wire.
HHS convened the activists late last year for a <a href="https://aspe.hhs.gov/sites/default/files/emerging_practices_for_supporting_lgbtqi+_young_people_across_human_services_programs.mp4">webinar</a> on “Emerging Practices for Supporting LGBTQI+ Young People Across Human Services Programs.&#8221; The project sought to identify “practices that human services agencies, programs, staff, and leaders are using to make human service delivery and prevention more welcoming and accessible for LGBTQI+ young people (ages 10-24),” with a particular focus on the “child welfare and juvenile justice systems.”
One activist, Alexander Roque, was particularly extreme, calling for families who engage in “homophobia or transphobia” to be prosecuted on child abuse charges.
“There are no systems that prosecute or address family rejection as it relates to homophobia or transphobia,” Roque, the <a href="https://www.aliforneycenter.org/our-people">president</a> of an LGBT community center and homeless shelter called the Ali Forney Center, complained. “I’ve been beating this drum that homophobia and transphobia is child abuse, and we need to recognize it as such.”
He went on to complain that Child Protective Services has forced him to return children to their families.
&#8220;We’ve had so many instances where young people have run away from their homes and have come into our care and we’ve literally had to hand over a young person to their family in front of a child protective worker.”
“I really think that providers who are seeking to represent LGBT youth have to really support a systems change on how systems address homophobia and transphobia. Right now nothing happens to the families,” Roque said, again indicating that he wants parents who do not accept a child’s gender identity to be punished or prosecuted.
Asked by The Daily Wire if he supports prosecuting parents for alleged transphobia, Roque said that he does not &#8220;believe that parents should be persecuted nor am I advocating for that.&#8221; It is unclear if Roque&#8217;s disavowal of persecution means that he does not support prosecution.
The federal bureaucracy has been mobilized to push far-left ideologies by the Biden-Harris administration, which named Admiral Rachel Levine, a man who identifies as a woman, as the Assistant Secretary for Health at the HHS. Levine went on to pressure a medical organization to <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/biden-admins-rachel-levine-met-with-wpath-as-he-pushed-for-removal-of-trans-surgery-age-restrictions">remove minimum age restrictions</a> for children who undergo medical procedures that seek to change their sex. A new study found that the Biden-Harris administration pushed far-left ideology throughout the government with 500 &#8220;DEI actions,&#8221; The Daily Wire <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/biden-harris-administration-pushed-far-left-ideology-with-500-dei-actions-report-finds">reported</a> this week.
Another activist criticized families who do not want their child to attempt to transition to the opposite sex, even saying that others may need to step in as a child’s “chosen family.”
“Supporting families is an important form of prevention. Programs are working to support families by using a relationship-based approach that builds connections with families and aims to understand their stage of acceptance with their child’s sexual orientation or gender identity,” Eli Michaels, a <a href="https://www.mathematica.org/staff/eli-michaels">health equity researcher</a> with the research organization Mathematica, said during the webinar. “In some cases that may mean helping youth find and even serving as their chosen family.”
The program was organized by HHS Deputy Assistant Secretary Miranda Lynch-Smith, who, according to her <a href="https://wokewagon.aflegal.org/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/Miranda-Lynch_HHS_Resume.pdf">resume</a>, focuses on “child welfare policy” and “systematic policy changes that build well-being systems and address race equity.” It was performed in conjunction with Mathematica, a New Jersey-based research organization that frequently contracts with federal agencies.
HHS has repeatedly pushed child transgenderism under the Biden-Harris administration, investigations from The Daily Wire have revealed. The National Institutes of Health, a subagency of the HHS, allocated over $3 million to expand the availability of <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/republican-senators-blast-nih-for-3-million-grant-to-expand-medical-transitions-for-minors">sex change operations for minors</a> despite hospitals admitting that such medical interventions can result in sterilization.
The department also agreed to <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/federal-government-to-spend-700k-on-trans-inclusive-sex-ed-for-14-year-olds">spend nearly $700,000</a> to create “an inclusive teen pregnancy program for transgender boys” and appears to have authorized the use of taxpayer funds to <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/under-biden-federal-foster-care-funds-can-be-used-to-buy-kids-chest-binders-fake-penises">buy chest binders and prosthetic penises</a> for children in the foster care system.
Bureaucrats who pushed the far-left agenda could be ousted from the federal agencies pending the results of the November election, however. Former President Donald Trump has pledged to gut the bureaucracy through <a href="https://www.axios.com/2022/07/22/trump-presidency-schedule-f-federal-employees">executive orders</a>, cutting down the size of the administrative state and firing those who may otherwise work to undermine his policy agenda.

Biden-Harris HHS Consulted Activist Who Said Parents Should Be Prosecuted For ‘Transphobia’

The University of California Berkeley&#8217;s student government is moving to prevent the College Republicans from hosting events on campus after an appearance by The Daily Wire&#8217;s Michael Knowles left students feeling “unsafe.”
The Berkeley College Republicans <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8UCa-8jKddw">hosted</a> Knowles on October 7th, advertising the event with posters referencing Knowles’ calls to eradicate transgender ideology. Critics falsely claimed Knowles was calling for the eradication of transgender people, an assertion <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?app=desktop&amp;v=ypONvQ6mt2kigsh%3DMTc4MmM1YmI2Ng%3D%3D">echoed</a> by UC Berkeley Chancellor Richard Lyons.
“I was dismayed by recent posters calling for the elimination of transgender people,” Lyons said in a video, citing Knowles&#8217;s alleged comments as an example of “rhetoric endorsing violence on our campus community.”
Now, Berkeley&#8217;s student government is set to consider a measure that could deny funding and event space to the College Republicans.
“Some ASUC Senators have taken it upon themselves to issue condemnations of our First Amendment-protected activities, and have vowed to attempt to ‘hold BCR accountable,’” an <a href="https://www.instagram.com/berkeleycollegerepublicans/?hl=en">Instagram</a> post from the group reads. “This comes after they have been gathering support for and drafting resolutions to BCR as a club on campus and prohibit conservative speakers on campus.”
The California College Republicans, the parent organization overseeing the Berkeley College Republicans, <a href="https://www.cacollegegop.org/moxie/college-republicans-targeted-with-death-threats-violence-and-administrative-action-for-hosting-conservative-speaker">explained</a> how some on the campus are working to shut down the club’s activities and deprive it of funding.
Two student government senators “will be proposing a resolution to prevent any student organization from reserving campus space or allowing speakers to come on campus if their activities promote hate speech or create an unsafe environment for any students,” the California College Republicans noted.
“With the conservative movement on campus stronger than it has ever been, it is no surprise that the radical left attempts to spread lies and contort our words to scare off dissent,” UC Berkeley College Republicans President and California College Republicans Chairman Martin Bertao said in response to the controversy.
A university spokesman attempted to distance the school from the student government&#8217;s measure when asked about it by The Daily Wire, explaining that the student government is &#8220;autonomous and independent from the university, but still obviously subject to the laws of the land.&#8221;
While Lyons and members of the student government have claimed the College Republicans are engaging in alleged hate speech, the club itself has been the target of calls to violence.
Members of the club found posters placed on campus that read “KILL DONALD TRUMP AND ALL CAMPUS REPUBLICANS.” The College Republicans <a href="https://www.cacollegegop.org/moxie/college-republicans-targeted-with-death-threats-violence-and-administrative-action-for-hosting-conservative-speaker">note</a> that they are prepared to explore legal avenues to defend their safety if needed.

Berkeley Student Government Tries To Silence College Republicans After Michael Knowles Event

Under Governor Tim Walz, Minnesota funds an organization that hosts no-parents-allowed wilderness excursions where children as young as 11 can discuss “queerness” with an adult who identifies as transgender.
The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources gave $10,500 to Clean River Partners, which sponsors the &#8220;Queer Unity, Environmental Education, and Recreation for Youth&#8221; program. Led by Heron Mahr, a self-described “trans non-binary naturalist, youth educator, and community engagement professional” who uses “they/them” pronouns, the group convenes monthly &#8220;to offer a safe space for young individuals in Northfield and Faribault to connect, learn outdoor skills, and explore the intersection of queerness and nature,” an Instagram post advertising the program states.
According to Mahr, parents asked to &#8220;not attend the events, so participants have the chance to build their independence outdoors. Mahr notes that there will be &#8220;ample adult supervision, including myself, a Carleton student who is supporting the program, and occasional guest instructors.” The student Mahr is referencing is Vio Csedrik, a board member of a “student-run drag organization” at Carleton College.
Mahr also said that the program is “designed specifically for queer and questioning middle and high school youth, and we kindly ask that you only attend if you belong to one of those groups.”
When asked by The Daily Wire, however, the organization&#8217;s executive director Jennifer Tonko said that &#8220;parents aren’t banned from attending the program, but it is meant to be a space for youth and it’s designed as such.&#8221; Tonko also stated that the program intends to &#8220;promote a sense of safety and belonging in the outdoors for queer and questioning youth,&#8221; with discussion topics including &#8220;trail navigation, plant identification, and paddling skills.&#8221;
Walz has been at the forefront of the Harris campaign&#8217;s effort to mobilize voters who identify as LGBT, <a href="https://www.pbs.org/newshour/politics/watch-walz-delivers-remarks-at-human-rights-campaign-event-for-lgbtq-equality">recently speaking</a> at an event hosted by an organization that promotes child transgenderism.
The Daily Wire uncovered that parents of children who identify as trans recently spoke out in support of the Harris-Walz ticket on a &#8220;Trans Families for Harris&#8221; Zoom call, with the organizer behind the event, a man who identifies as a woman, celebrating Walz as &#8220;a beacon of LGBTQ rights for decades.&#8221; Both Walz and his wife, Gwen, promoted LGBT identification while they were high school teachers. Tim Walz advised his high school&#8217;s Gay-Straight Alliance Club, and Gwen Walz <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/as-a-teacher-in-90s-gwen-walz-brought-up-sexual-orientation-on-first-day-of-class">discussed sexual orientation</a> with students on the first day of school.
When asked why the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources decided to fund the program, an agency spokeswoman for the agency told The Daily Wire that the organization &#8220;received funding for its QUEERY nature club as part of our No Child Left Inside (NCLI) competitive grant program&#8221; and added that &#8220;it is our understanding that parents can participate in the program.&#8221;
The spokeswoman went on to say that the Department of Natural Resources &#8220;funded this project because it scored highly on a rubric-based assessment that took into account program focus, design, approach, and evaluation; feasibility; and financial need and match.&#8221;
Earlier this month, The Daily Wire <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/federal-government-set-to-pay-50k-to-encourage-lgbt-teen-wilderness-conservation-efforts">reported</a> that the federal government is set to grant $50,000 to an Oregon-based organization that hosts similar events outdoor events. The recipient organization, called the Northwest Youth Corps, will use the taxpayer funding in part to promote “lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer inclusion.”
National Geographic celebrated the program, stating that “having the support of an organization that provides safe spaces and opportunities for queer youth is essential for queer youth, especially during a time when transgender youth care is banned in numerous states and legislation transgender youth from participating in sports.”

Nearly 14,000 children underwent sex changes across the country from 2019 to 2023, according to a new database that tracks transgender children’s clinics.
Do No Harm, an association of medical professionals opposed to the politicization of medicine, this week launched <a href="https://stoptheharmdatabase.com/about/">&#8220;Stop The Harm,&#8221;</a> a database that tracks &#8220;sex change treatments being performed on minors at healthcare facilities in the United States.&#8221; The group found that, from 2019 to 2023, at least 13,994 children underwent sex changes, for which doctors submitted charges of around $119 million. That is likely an underestimate, as the analysis could not account for claims from certain insurance companies or those who paid in cash.
The database tracks children’s hospitals and other providers that offer puberty blockers, cross sex hormones, and surgeries that seek to change the gender of children. Users can view lists of children’s hospitals that provide sex change operations on children in their state, also viewing the profiles of some of the worst-offending hospitals.
Ann and Robert H. Lurie <a href="https://stoptheharmdatabase.com/hospital/ann-robert-h-lurie-childrens-hospital-of-chicago/">Children’s Hospital of Chicago</a>, for example, had 145 child sex change patients from 2019 to 2023, including 39 surgery patients. It also charged $274,000 for child sex change interventions. Oregon’s <a href="https://stoptheharmdatabase.com/state/oregon/">Legacy Good Samaritan Medical Center</a> had 267 child sex change patients and 223 surgery patients.
The report also highlights doctors who’ve billed the highest sums of money for sex change interventions on children. At Boston Children’s Hospital, one doctor billed a whopping $5.19 million for sex change interventions for children, the highest of any single provider.
Dr. Oren Ganor of Boston Children’s Hospital has been highlighted as an “affirming pediatric and adolescent medicine provider” by a transgender activist <a href="https://www.glad.org/affirming-medical-providers-in-massachusetts/">organization</a>. Ganor “<a href="https://www.health.harvard.edu/authors/oren-ganor-md">specializes</a> in complex reconstructions, microsurgery, and gender-affirming surgeries” and is “deeply invested in clinical research, and aspires to use research to improve the field of gender-confirming surgery.” The Daily Wire asked Boston Children’s Hospital if it could identify Dr. Ganor as the individual who billed the sum, but did not receive a response.
One doctor at New York’s Mount Sinai Beth Israel billed $4.59 million for sex change interventions, while a doctor at Stanford doctor came in third after billing $4.15 million.
The site also highlights the “Dirty Dozen,” which Do No Harm calls the “worst-offending children’s hospitals promoting sex change treatments for minors.”
“To select our list, we identified each hospital and pediatric facility offering sex change treatments and considered a combination of factors to determine the institution’s engagement in performing and promoting sex change treatments on minors,” Do No Harm said. “We considered legislative activism, such as explicit policy statements and/or testimony in favor of legislation, in addition to community activism, such as promoting sex change treatments among local schools and youth groups.”
One of the hospitals on the list, <a href="https://stoptheharmdatabase.com/hospital/seattle-childrens/">Seattle Children’s,</a> had 285 sex change patients from 2019 to 2023, including 50 surgery patients. The <a href="https://stoptheharmdatabase.com/hospital/childrens-hospital-los-angeles/">Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles</a>, meanwhile, recorded 265 sex change interventions from 2019 to 2023 including 165 surgery patients. It also billed nearly $1.75 million in charges for sex change interventions.
San Diego&#8217;s Rady Children&#8217;s Hospital and Children&#8217;s Hospital Colorado, which saw 136 and 120 patients, respectively, both made it onto the dirty dozen list as well.
The Daily Wire <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/exclusive-how-one-of-americas-largest-school-districts-became-a-pipeline-for-a-trans-youth-clinic">previously reported</a> that the Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles partnered with the Los Angeles Unified School District to promote sex change operations to parents of school children, with district personnel reaching out to the hospital to facilitate one student’s transition.
Sex change interventions for children have not been relegated to the coasts and traditionally left-wing states, however. In Nashville, Tennessee’s Vanderbilt University Medical Center recorded minor 33 sex change patients, including 22 surgery patients from 2019 to 2023, while Missouri’s St. Louis Children’s Hospital had 49 sex change patients during the same time frame.
Do No Harm performed its analysis with data from “commercial insurance providers, Medicaid, Medicare, and the Department of Veterans Affairs,” noting that the analysis excludes data from “internal Kaiser Permanente and internal Department of Veterans Affairs claims” and direct payments, indicating that the figures could undercount the number of sex change interventions performed on children and their associated costs.

The Department of Agriculture is set to pay $50,000 to encourage children and young adults who identify as transgender, lesbian, gay, or bisexual to go on wilderness conservation trips in the Pacific Northwest.
The grant, which started in 2022 and runs through 2026, was awarded to the Northwest Youth Corps, a conservation organization based in Eugene, Oregon, that works to “diversify the outdoors.” The <a href="https://www.usaspending.gov/award/ASST_NON_22PA11060500020_12C2">grant</a> funds “lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer inclusion and sound to summit crews,” in an apparent reference to two different programs.
The Northwest Youth Corps explains how it <a href="https://www.nwyouthcorps.org/affinity/">intends</a> to “diversify the outdoors,” adding that “a key element of our commitment to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion is fielding single-identity affinity crews and internships to support communities historically under-served in the outdoor space.”
The group hosts LGBT-specific conservation groups for those as young as 16 years old. “Unlike some facets of identity, such as perceived race or ability, people who identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender or “questioning” are often an invisible demographic,” the organization says. “Our move to create a single-identity LGBTQ+ crew began when we recognized the need to be much more purposeful in supporting this community.”
“There is no such thing as a truly safe space, there are only safer spaces,” one of the attendees said in a <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mrp2ZSGPrEk&amp;t=172s">video</a> promoting the program. “The fact that there is a corp for queer people to explore their identities … is not only important, it is essential.”
The program was also celebrated in a National Geographic <a href="https://www.nwyouthcorps.org/pdf/National%20Geographic%20LGBTQ%20Crew.pdf">article</a>. “Having the support of an organization that provides safe spaces and opportunities for queer youth is essential for queer youth, especially during a time when transgender youth care is banned in numerous states and legislation transgender youth from participating in sports,” the piece states.
Various federal agencies have spent taxpayer money promoting transgender identification among minors, including with one <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/federal-government-to-spend-700k-on-trans-inclusive-sex-ed-for-14-year-olds">$700k grant</a> from the Department of Health and Human Services to create “an inclusive teen pregnancy program for transgender boys.”
“Youth who are assigned female at birth … are at risk for negative sexual health outcomes yet are effectively excluded from sexual health programs because gender-diverse youth do not experience the cisgender, heteronormative teen sexual education messaging available to them as salient or applicable,” the award description states.
The Biden-Harris administration’s National Institutes of Health agreed to spend over $3 million to <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/republican-senators-blast-nih-for-3-million-grant-to-expand-medical-transitions-for-minors">expand access to sex change operations</a> for minors as young as 13-years-old.
The Department of Agriculture and the Northwest Youth Corps did not respond to a request for comment.
