Kid Rock has addressed speculation that he was lip syncing during his performance of “Bawitdaba” at TPUSA’s All-American Halftime Show, which was aired at the same time as the Super Bowl Halftime show on Sunday.
The country rock star said the problem was that he was “out of sync” with his DJ. Kid Rock, whose real name is Robert Ritchie, discussed what happened during an <a href="https://www.foxnews.com/video/6389008403112">appearance</a> on Fox News’ “The Ingraham Angle” on Monday night.
“My DJ, who actually raps that song with me, was not lit up,” Ritchie explained to Ingraham. He said it would have been easier for the TPUSA team to sync up the vocals if they were using a pre-recorded version of the song, and the fact that it was slightly off timing-wise is proof that he was really singing.
“&#8230;I’m jumping around the stage like a rabid monkey, rapping my song, and I’m taking breaths, and my DJ is filling in the other parts of it,” he went on. “I even told them when I saw the rough cut, I was like, you guys got to work on that sync. It’s off. So it was just a syncing issue that they had, and I know they tried to get it right. It was very difficult.”
Ritchie also tweeted out a more direct response to those who were speculating that he had lip-synced, calling the claims &#8220;fake news.&#8221;

The TPUSA All-American Halftime Show outperformed all expectations. Millions of people tuned into the YouTube livestream, Charlie Kirk’s YouTube channel, and other partner sites streaming it, including DailyWire+.
It was pitched as an alternative for viewers who weren’t interested in watching Super Bowl Halftime headliner Bad Bunny, who only sings in Spanish and has expressed controversial views about President Trump and ICE enforcing immigration laws.
Ritchie also said he wasn’t overly impressed with Bad Bunny’s halftime performance.
“Like most people, I didn’t understand any of it,” the singer said. “I saw there’s a lot of dancers and a lot of big to-do stuff. And, you know, he said he wanted to have a dance party; it looked like he had one.”
“Not my cup of tea, but I don’t fault that kid for doing the Super Bowl, getting in front of a global audience,” Ritchie added. “I fault the NFL for putting him in that position and Turning Point for having to come out and have an alternative for people to watch. You know, it’s just — poor kid.”
President Trump also had a negative reaction to Bad Bunny’s performance on Sunday.
“The Super Bowl Halftime Show is absolutely terrible, one of the worst, EVER!” Trump wrote. “It makes no sense, is an affront to the Greatness of America, and doesn’t represent our standards of Success, Creativity, or Excellence,” the president posted on social media.
“Nobody understands a word this guy is saying, and the dancing is disgusting, especially for young children that are watching from throughout the U.S.A., and all over the World. This ‘Show’ is just a ‘slap in the face’ to our Country, which is setting new standards and records every single day — including the Best Stock Market and 401(k)s in History!”

Country rock star Kid Rock pointed viewers toward Jesus and the Gospel during his set on Sunday as the headliner at the TPUSA All-American Halftime Show. 
The &#8220;Cowboy&#8221; singer delivered on all fronts as the alternative to the NFL’s Super Bowl halftime show that featured Bad Bunny, who performed his entire set in Spanish. The All-American Halftime Show drew millions of viewers eager for something different. 
Rock opened his set with his viral hit “Bawitdaba” from 1999. But later, the recording artist changed tracks entirely. As his set came to an end, Kid Rock came back out on stage and was reintroduced by his real name, Robert Ritchie. 
He said a new verse to Cody Johnson’s song “‘Til You Can’t” came to him one Sunday morning when &#8220;something or someone spoke to me.&#8221;
Ritchie said he believed there was “a verse that still needed to be written for this song.”
&#8220;There&#8217;s a book that&#8217;s sitting in your house somewhere that could use some dusting off,&#8221; he sang. &#8220;There&#8217;s a man that died for all our sins hanging from the cross. You can give your life to Jesus and he&#8217;ll give you a second chance. &#8216;Til you can&#8217;t.&#8221;

His performance ended with a tribute to TPUSA founder Charlie Kirk, who was assassinated last year. 
“If you’re gonna love somebody, hold ’em as long and as strong and as close as you can. Until you can’t,” Rock sang as an image of Kirk showed up on the screen with the caption, “In Remembrance of Charlie Kirk.” There were photos of Kirk and his widow, Erika, followed by the Bible verse Isaiah 6:8: &#8220;Here am I, send me.&#8221;
Brantley Gilbert and other country artists, Gabby Barrett, and Lee Brice also performed at the TPUSA All-American Halftime Show, which outperformed all expectations. Millions of people tuned into the YouTube livestream, Charlie Kirk’s YouTube channel, and other partner sites streaming it, including DailyWire+. 
“We’re approaching this show like David and Goliath,” Kid Rock said in a statement before the show, The Daily Wire previously reported. “Competing with the pro football machine and a global pop superstar is almost impossible, or is it? He said he’s having a dance party, wearing a dress, and singing in Spanish? Cool. We plan to play great songs for folks who love America.”
Social media lit up with fans celebrating the Super Bowl halftime show alternative, and later with viewers proud of how many people turned up and tuned in.

Bad Bunny has been critical of the Trump administration’s illegal immigrant crackdown and refused to tour in the United States last year because he said he didn’t want ICE raiding his concerts. Many football fans were also frustrated that the entire show would be in Spanish.
The success of TPUSA’s alternative, pro-America halftime entertainment proves that the battle of David versus Goliath continues, with the possibility of the underdog winning in the end.

Last fall, Trump took a jab at Bad Bunny, saying he didn&#8217;t know who the singer was after the NFL announced he would be performing at the Super Bowl LX halftime show.
&#8220;I don’t know who he is,&#8221; Trump told Newsmax. &#8220;I don’t know why they’re doing it. It’s crazy. And then they blame it on some promoter they hired to pick up entertainment. I think it’s absolutely ridiculous.&#8221;
Trump definitely knows who Kid Rock is. The &#8220;Bawitdaba&#8221; singer is a close pal and golfing buddy of the president. Kid Rock also performed at the last Republican National Convention.
&#8220;The All-American Halftime Show&#8221; will allow viewers to be up close and personal with the performance, Turning Point USA spokesman Andrew Kolvet told Fox News Digital.
&#8220;&#8216;The All-American Halftime Show&#8217; is an opportunity for all Americans to enjoy a halftime show with no agenda other than to celebrate faith, family, and freedom,&#8221; Kolvet said. &#8220;We can’t wait to watch the incredible show they’re about to put on. We know millions around the country will be watching too.&#8221;
Barrett, who placed third on Season 16 of American Idol, recently sang at the White House Christmas tree lighting ceremony.
The star-studded show is expected to start around 8 p.m. ET on February 8. The Daily Wire will air the show on its platform. TPUSA will also stream the concert on its YouTube channel and X account.
Super Bowl LX is being held in Santa Clara, California, at Levi&#8217;s Stadium, home of the San Francisco 49ers.

The message, at least to anyone paying attention, is clear: Making America Healthy Again is a top priority for conservatives. One person paying attention is TPUSA&#8217;s Alex Clark, who has made MAHA the primary focus of her podcast <a href="https://www.realalexclark.com/">Culture Apothecary</a>.

The Supreme Court is set to decide on Friday whether to take up a case that could determine whether pesticide manufacturers can use federal regulators as a shield against accountability if their products make Americans sick. 
At stake is whether families harmed by chemicals like Roundup will retain the right to seek justice in state courts, or whether corporate giants will be granted immunity for failing to warn the public.
The case, <a href="https://www.supremecourt.gov/search.aspx?filename=/docket/docketfiles/html/public/24-1068.html">Monsanto v. Durnell,</a> centers on a deceptively technical legal question with enormous real-world consequences: can federal pesticide law override state-level failure-to-warn claims once the Environmental Protection Agency has approved a product label?
For decades, state courts have served as the primary avenue for Americans harmed by dangerous chemicals, particularly when evidence shows manufacturers knew, or should have known, about serious health risks and failed to warn consumers. Bayer, which acquired Monsanto in 2018 and now sells Roundup, is asking the Supreme Court to shut that door entirely.
If the Supreme Court agrees, pesticide manufacturers would be able to point to EPA label approval as a legal shield, even if people develop cancer, infertility, or other serious illnesses after using their products. The result would be a sweeping expansion of corporate immunity — and a devastating loss of recourse for ordinary families.
What concerns me most is how such a ruling would affect American children. 
A growing body of research has raised serious concerns about the role of glyphosate and other widely used pesticides in <a href="https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/26544531/">endocrine disruption</a>, impaired <a href="https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC8165010/">reproductive development</a>, and even <a href="https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/34207279/">infertility</a>. Children are uniquely vulnerable to chemical exposure, especially substances that interfere with hormones during critical developmental windows. Yet many of these products are sold without clear warnings and marketed as safe for routine use in backyards, playgrounds, and schools.
The corporations pushing the Court to expand federal preemption are effectively arguing that once a federal agency signs off on a label, no further accountability should exist. Even if new evidence emerges, even if harm becomes widespread, and even if children pay the price. Preserving corporate profits takes precedence over whether future generations can grow up healthy and fertile.
The legal question before the Court is narrow, but the implications are not. 
Under current law, victims can pursue state-level failure-to-warn claims by showing that a manufacturer knew, or should have known, that its product posed serious risks but failed to disclose them. Bayer wants the Supreme Court to rule that EPA approval of a pesticide label automatically wipes out those claims.
In the case of glyphosate-based Roundup, the EPA <a href="https://www.epa.gov/ingredients-used-pesticide-products/glyphosate">approved</a> the product without a cancer warning. But internal documents revealed through litigation paint a far more troubling picture of how that label came to be.
Monsanto engaged in a sustained campaign to suppress unfavorable science and shape the regulatory narrative. The company is accused of <a href="https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S0273230099913715?via%3Dihub=&amp;utm_source=substack&amp;utm_medium=email">ghost-writing</a> supposedly independent research, <a href="https://usrtk.org/wp-content/uploads/bsk-pdf-manager/2019/06/Johnson-cross-appeal-and-opening-brief.pdf">burying inconvenient studies</a>, and using backchannels to <a href="https://usrtk.org/monsanto/attacks-on-scientists-journalists/">discredit scientists</a> who raised safety concerns. Documents also show Monsanto never tested the full Roundup formulation for carcinogenicity. In one <a href="https://www.wisnerbaum.com/wp-content/uploads/27-Internal-Monsanto-Email-You-Cannot-Say-That-Roundup-is-not-a-Carcinogen.pdf">internal email</a>, a Monsanto toxicologist admitted: “[Y]ou can’t say Roundup is not a carcinogen… we have not done the necessary testing on the formulation to make that statement.”
That is precisely the accountability mechanism Bayer now wants the Supreme Court to eliminate.
Imagine walking into a store and buying a bottle of Roundup. There is no warning on the label that it has been linked to cancer. No warning that it can be absorbed through the skin. No caution about spraying it where children play barefoot or crawl in the grass. Parents are expected to trust that if something were truly dangerous, someone would have warned them.
If Bayer wins this case, the message to manufacturers will be unmistakable: keep labels as weak as federal regulators allow, and if people get sick, it’s not your problem.
This is not a hypothetical concern. Bayer has already paid nearly $11 billion to settle cancer claims related to Roundup. Thousands of additional lawsuits remain pending. The company’s stock price has plummeted, and its own internal strategy documents describe a <a href="https://www.bayer.com/en/managing-the-roundup-litigation">multi-pronged effort</a> to “mitigate the risks of litigation.” One prong of that strategy is persuading the Supreme Court to declare that EPA approval preempts state law entirely.
A ruling in Bayer’s favor would not stop with Roundup. It would apply to more than <a href="https://ordspub.epa.gov/ords/pesticides/f?p=338:3::::::">57,000 pesticide products</a> currently on the market, many of them highly toxic. It would grant sweeping immunity to chemical manufacturers, including foreign-owned corporations like ChemChina, which sells pesticides in the United States that are banned in its home country for risks to human health.
This would amount to an unprecedented transfer of power away from families, juries, and state courts and toward multinational corporations whose primary obligation is to their shareholders, not to American children.
Congress has flirted with similar liability shields in recent spending bills and in the upcoming Farm Bill. As a lifelong conservative, my message to congressional Republicans is simple: the Make America Healthy Again coalition is paying attention.
In the 2024 election, millions of mothers voted Republican for the first time because they believed lawmakers would finally take children’s health seriously. They believed the party would stand up to corporate interests that profit while families bear the consequences.
That trust is not unconditional.
Before 2024, Republicans struggled to win suburban women. The MAHA coalition changed that, which was an unexpected political gift. But it is a fragile one. Shield Big Chemical from accountability, and that coalition will walk.
If the Supreme Court or Congress decides that corporate interests outweigh informed consent, the message to American families will be clear: your health is negotiable. Your children’s future is collateral damage.
That is a message no party, and no court, should be willing to send.

Gabbard went on to describe how quickly the ideology had seeped into the culture in European nations: &#8220;As we approach Christmas, right now in Germany they are canceling Christmas markets because of this threat.&#8221;

Ben Shapiro has simple advice for how disaffected young men can turn around their lives: &#8220;Get off your ass and go do the thing.&#8221;
Speaking to The Daily Wire&#8217;s Mary Margaret Olohan at Turning Point USA&#8217;s AmFest on Thursday night, the Daily Wire Editor Emeritus was asked how men should respond to a culture that &#8220;rejects masculinity.&#8221; He said there are obstacles that need to be removed, but ultimately that men are in control of their own success.
“I think first of all we need to remove the obstacles for them,” Shapiro said. “The Trump administration has done a great job of fighting DEI, but they need to unleash the DOJ on anybody who’s violating the Civil Rights Act of 65 with regard to young white men, for sure.”
“And then, we need to say something to young men: get off your ass and go do the thing,” he declared. “Seriously. Stop telling all young white men that all of their grievances — when it comes to making basic, good decisions for their lives — are justified. Those decisions are not always justified. Here are things you can do: Finish high school. Get a job. Get married. Have kids. Go to church. Those are all in your control. You pretending those things are not in your control is grievance culture bulls***. And all the politicians who pander to that sort of stuff are making people’s lives actively worse.”

Daily Wire host Michael Knowles defended the idea of Americans as a distinct people with a “real historical lineage and a real historical destiny” on Thursday night.
Knowles spoke on the main stage during the first night of Turning Point USA’s America Fest conference in Phoenix, Arizona. In a speech largely about uniting the American political Right, Knowles described the American people as having a heritage that sets them apart from others.
“To be on the team, you have to acknowledge that there is such a thing as the American people. We&#8217;re not just an idea floating in outer space. We are a real people with a real historical lineage and a real historical destiny,” said Knowles.
What defines Americanism became a point of debate online this week after Vivek Ramaswamy, a former 2024 GOP presidential candidate and current candidate for Ohio governor, wrote an <a href="https://www.nytimes.com/2025/12/17/opinion/republican-identity-divide.html">op-ed</a> for The New York Times arguing that the “American identity is based on ideals.”
Knowles appeared to push back against that idea in his speech at AmFest.

“We have a real historical experience and character that is not magically imbued through a few lines of philosophy or a naturalization pop quiz,” he said. “At different times, we&#8217;ve taken in foreigners. When it&#8217;s worked, those foreigners have come to act and talk and even look like us. When it hasn&#8217;t worked, they haven&#8217;t.”
“If you prefer the flag of some other nation, the customs and habits of some other people, you are not on my team. If you are and want to be a member of the American people, you are on my team,” he added.

Ben Shapiro warned Thursday night on the stage of Turning Point USA’s AmericaFest that the future of the conservative movement depends on a commitment to truth, arguing that grifters and frauds are putting both conservatism and the country at risk.
“The future of the country relies on the future of the conservative movement,” Shapiro said. “It relies on what TPUSA defines as its core mission: freedom, free markets, and limited government.”
 Shapiro argued that the right-wing hosts who have abandoned truth for conspiracies and dishonesty are undermining conservatism by offering “bile and despair.”
“These people are frauds, and they are grifters,” Shapiro said. “And they are something worse: a danger to the only movement capable of stopping the Left from wrecking the country wholesale.”
Shapiro outlined “five obligations” that prominent conservative voices owe their audience in a time of an &#8220;anarchic informational environment&#8221; where the legacy media is no longer the gatekeeper. The obligations, according to Shapiro, are truth, principle, responsibility, evidence, and solutions.
“We owe you the truth,” Shapiro said. “That means we should not mislead you; it means we shouldn’t hide the ball; we shouldn’t be deliberately obscure about what we are telling you.”
Shapiro referenced podcaster Candace Owens, accusing her of exploiting the assassination of TPUSA founder Charlie Kirk to push baseless conspiracies and attack TPUSA staff, adding that those with a platform have a “moral obligation” to call her out.
“If Candace Owens decides to spend every day since the murder of Charlie Kirk casting aspersions at TPUSA and the people who work here…to spew absolutely baseless trash implicating everyone from French intelligence to Mossad to members of TPUSA in Charlie’s murder or a coverup in that murder…then we, as people with a microphone, have a moral obligation to call that out, by name.”
Shapiro said that TPUSA and Kirk’s widow, Erika Kirk, should have never “been put in the position to have to defend themselves against such specious and evil attacks, particularly in a time of mourning.”
He added that some of the speakers who will take to the stage after him are “guilty of cowardice” for refusing to condemn the &#8220;vicious attacks.”
“The fact that Candace has been vomiting all sorts of conspiratorial nonsense into the public square for years on end while others fly cover for her is just as cowardly,” Shapiro said. 
Shapiro went on to argue that personal relationships or emotional loyalty cannot excuse silence when public figures engage in wrongdoing, stressing that principle must come before friendship or coalition politics.

He also emphasized that commentators bear responsibility for the people they elevate and the ideas they mainstream, and the way they conduct their interviews. He cited Tucker Carlson’s platforming of Nick Fuentes. 
“If you host a Hitler apologist, Nazi-loving, anti-American piece of sh*t like Nick Fuentes – the Nick Fuentes who said that the Vice President of the United States is a ‘fat gay race traitor married to a jeet,’ the person who said that Charlie Kirk was a ‘retarded idiot’ and that he ‘took Turning Point USA and f*cked it…and that’s why it’s filled with Groypers’ – and you proceed to glaze him, you ought to own it,” Shapiro said. 
He added that Charlie Kirk “despised Fuentes” because “he knew that Fuentes is an evil troll and that building him up is an act of moral imbecility.”
Shapiro added that Carlson’s other guests include “pornographer and alleged sex trafficker Andrew Tate” and “fake historian and Nazi apologist Darryl Cooper.”
“Hosts are indeed responsible for the guests they choose and the questions they ask them,” Shapiro said.
Shapiro went on to explain that conservative hosts have an “obligation to truth” and evidence. Conservative voices must offer real solutions that improve people’s lives, he argued.
“It is our job to make the lives of our audience better-informed, and just generally better,&#8221; Shapiro said. &#8220;We have a duty to propose solutions.&#8221;
“We who speak to people on a regular basis have duties to you: the duty to speak the truth,” he said. “The duty to speak from principle, not personal feeling; the duty to take responsibility for our actions; the duty to provide you evidence — to do more than conspiracize or ‘just ask questions’; and the duty to posit real solutions.”
“If we fail in those duties, you ought not listen to us.&#8221;

Turning Point USA Spokesman Andrew Kolvet said he has barely had time to grieve since Charlie Kirk’s assassination in September.
Kolvet appeared as the first guest on The Daily Wire’s live coverage of AmericaFest from Phoenix, Arizona, on Thursday. The TPUSA spokesman said that he has been so busy since Kirk’s death that he doesn&#8217;t know if he has had time to fully grieve the loss of his friend.
&#8220;I think, in my own way, I&#8217;ve done as well as I can, but we&#8217;ve been working day-in-day-out, whether it was Charlie was assassinated and then we went straight into the memorial planning — and that was all-nighters to pull off that event in the six or seven days that we did,” Kolvet told The Daily Wire’s Mary Margaret Olohan and Tim Rice.
“Then we went straight into the tour, and then it&#8217;s just been one thing after another and planning for AmFest,” said Kolvet. “You know, what has it been like? I will say it is the first time in my life where I can genuinely say I can feel the prayers of strangers.”
Kolvet also gave a preview of some of TPUSA’s plans for 2026. He said that the organization, as far as the midterm elections go, will primarily be focused on implementing the plans that Kirk had begun to put in place before his death.
“Because we have not proven in the era of Trump that we can do special elections, we can do off-year elections. My hope is that when we have a national goal, 2026 midterms, that we’ll get more of these [low propensity] voters out to the polls to do the work that needs to be done,” said Kolvet. “And that’s what Charlie would be focused on. I know it because he already put that in motion.”

Erika Kirk is set to meet in person with podcast host Candace Owens on Monday, when Turning Point USA was set to hold a livestream to address conspiracy theories about Charlie Kirk&#8217;s assassination that have been pushed by Owens.
&#8220;Candace Owens and I are meeting for a private, in-person discussion,&#8221; Kirk posted on Sunday, adding that plans for the livestream would be put on hold. &#8220;[Owens] and I have agreed that public discussions, livestreams and tweets are on hold until after this meeting. I look forward to a productive conversation. Thank you.&#8221;
The shocking announcement came Sunday night after Kirk publicly asked Owens to stop spreading rumors surrounding her husband&#8217;s death. Owens quickly reposted the announcement, saying she was &#8220;looking forward&#8221; to it.

&#8220;I am very much looking forward to this discussion,&#8221; Owens added.
Owens has used her podcast for the last three months to analyze Kirk&#8217;s murder, pushing bizarre theories and suggesting that TPUSA was covering up the truth. Owens has questioned the FBI&#8217;s handling of the investigation, and suggested that foreign agencies from countries, including Israel and France, were involved. She has recently put the focus on TPUSA itself, which is now under the leadership of Erika Kirk.
Erika Kirk, in recent days, has pushed back on the claims.
&#8220;When you go after my family, my Turning Point USA family, my Charlie Kirk Show family, when you go after the people that I love, and you&#8217;re making hundreds and thousands of dollars every single episode going after the people that I love because somehow they&#8217;re in on this, no,&#8221; she told Fox News Wednesday.
Owens took that interview and used it to criticize Erika Kirk more.
“Don’t try to, like, ‘mom’ the organization and say, ‘Well, mother’s upset because people are coming after her kids and all of the multimillion-dollar subsidiaries.'&#8221;
In a town hall with CBS News on Saturday, Kirk said she is worried the conspiracy theories are going to taint the jury pool for the trial of her husband&#8217;s alleged killer, Tyler Robinson, who is charged with aggravated murder and faces the death penalty.
CBS News editor-in-chief Bari Weiss asked Kirk directly what she wanted from Owens.
“Stop. That’s it. That’s all I have to say. Stop.”
Owens originally told members of TPUSA she was unavailable to meet in person on Monday, December 15 — she was invited by <a href="https://x.com/BlakeSNeff/status/1996710332992311611?s=20">TPUSA</a> to participate in the livestream to address her accusations of the organization. Owens offered to connect with members of TPUSA virtually, but Blake Neff, the producer of The Charlie Kirk Show, said TPUSA would be proceeding without Owens.
Owens&#8217; schedule appears to have cleared. There&#8217;s no word yet on when the details of this private meeting will be made public.
