<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Lego has unveiled a massive new model of Barcelona&#8217;s iconic Sagrada Familia basilica, a release timed to coincide with the 100th anniversary of the death of its chief architect, Antoni Gaudí. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The set contains 12,060 pieces, making it the largest Lego set ever released, according to the company.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">“The new set captures the evolving story of Barcelona’s most iconic landmark, with the building steps mirroring the basilica’s actual construction sequence,” Lego </span><a href="https://www.lego.com/en-us/aboutus/news/2026/june/lego-architecture-sagrada-fam-lia-set-unveiled"><span style="font-weight: 400;">said</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;"> in the statement. </span></p>

<p>The release comes as the real Sagrada Familia approaches a major milestone of its own.</p>
<p>Construction on the basilica began more than 140 years ago and has continued ever since. <span style="font-weight: 400;">According to </span><a href="https://www.theartnewspaper.com/2026/06/04/gaudis-sagrada-familia-finally-shakes-off-its-incompletable-tag-as-pope-prepares-to-inaugurate-tallest-and-final-tower"><span style="font-weight: 400;">The Art Newspape</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;">r, Pope Leo XIV is expected to bless the newly completed Tower of Jesus on June 10, the centennial of Gaudí&#8217;s death.</span></p>
<p>&#8220;<span style="font-weight: 400;">The inauguration marks the symbolic completion of the church, though work is expected to continue for another decade,” according to the outlet.</span></p>
<p>The Sagrada Familia is the latest religious landmark to receive the Lego treatment. In 2024, the company released a model of Notre-Dame Cathedral, one of the world&#8217;s most renowned Catholic landmarks, during the reconstruction of the famous Paris church. The move signaled a willingness to create sets based on prominent religious sites.</p>
<p>The new set was designed by <span style="font-weight: 400;">Rok Žgalin Kobe, who has also worked on Lego versions of the Eiffel Tower, the Great Pyramid of Giza, the Trevi Fountain, and other architectural icons.</span><span style="font-weight: 400;"><br />

<p>Parents just got another reason to side-eye the toy aisle.</p>
<p>One popular squeeze toy sold at Walmart and Ollie&#8217;s Bargain Outlet is now being <a href="https://www.cpsc.gov/Recalls/2026/Orb-Funkee-Squeeze-Toys-Recalled-Due-to-Risk-of-Serious-Injury-or-Death-from-Asbestos-Exposure-Imported-by-The-Orb-Factory">recalled</a> over something that sounds straight out of a nightmare: asbestos.</p>
<p>More than 120,000 Orb Funkee squeeze toys are being pulled from shelves after officials warned on Thursday that the sand packed inside certain models may contain tremolite asbestos, a dangerous mineral linked to serious lung diseases and cancer.</p>
<p>Yes, we’re talking about a children’s squishy toy.</p>
<p>The recall specifically impacts certain “Funkee Monkee” squeeze toys sold nationwide between February 2025 and April 2026, according to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission.</p>
<p>And while, thankfully, no kids have reportedly been hurt so far, the warning itself is enough to make a lot of parents do a double take.</p>
<p>Officials say the danger comes if the toy breaks open and kids inhale particles from the sand filling inside. Asbestos exposure has long been associated with severe health problems, including lung scarring, mesothelioma, and lung cancer.</p>
<p>In other words, not exactly the kind of thing parents expect to hear about a toy monkey sitting in a playroom.</p>
<p>The recalled products include both a large gold Funkee Monkee toy and several smaller colorful versions. Parents are being urged to immediately take the toys away from children and stop using them altogether.</p>

<p>And the cleanup instructions honestly make the situation sound even worse.</p>
<p>If the toy has ruptured and any sand leaked out, consumers are being told to wear gloves and a mask while cleaning it up, use damp cloths to avoid spreading particles into the air, then double-bag everything, including the toy, cloths, gloves, and even the mask itself.</p>
<p>That is a real instruction tied to a children’s toy.</p>
<p>The company behind the product, The Orb Factory, is offering refunds. Customers are being instructed to place the toy into a sealed heavy-duty plastic bag, tape it shut, and send a photo to the company to receive reimbursement.</p>
<p>The affected toys reportedly sold for anywhere between $5 and $40.</p>
<p>Parents can identify recalled models by checking for the date code “3102491A,” which appears on the hand of the large monkey toy or on the back of the smaller versions.</p>
<p>And honestly, stories like this are becoming way too common lately.</p>
<p>Between toy recalls, contaminated snacks, and household products suddenly getting pulled over health concerns, parents increasingly feel like they need a hazmat team just to survive a trip to the store.</p>
<p>This time, though, officials are making one thing crystal clear: if your child has one of these squeeze toys, get it out of the house immediately.</p>

<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The hottest toy that’s coming out this year is of a Catholic church that has been under construction for — what — 140 years now? They started building this thing in March of 1882. It’s not even completed yet. It’s expected to be completed in 2034.</span></p>

<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">This is such good news, in the abstract, that I’m willing to overlook the fact that this church is one of the ugliest buildings ever constructed. </span><span style="font-weight: 400;">It is so bad. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">I had the privilege of visiting Spain once and got to see The Sagrada Familia Basilica in Barcelona — and it’s pretty ugly. It looks like a melted anthill or some kind of weird distorted honeycomb.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">It’s supposed to be kind of like a neo-Gothic church, like all those great Gothic churches of Europe. But it’s weird because it’s modern. Construction started in the late 19th century, and then continued for a long time — these cathedrals can take centuries — and as other people took over, it somehow got even worse.</span></p>

<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Now, when you go inside, however, it’s quite stunning. It’s still a little too weird for me to say it’s beautiful, but it is stunning — the way the glass reflects the light. Really stunning.</span></p>

<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">I am confident I will be pilloried from all sides for this — the people who say I’m a Philistine for not appreciating the modern basilica, the people who say I’m too religious not to be focused on a toy church — I don’t care. <em>I’m going to take the win.</em></span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">But let’s not lie to ourselves. Let’s use our our taste, our real intelligence — not artificial intelligence — and say it’s not ugly.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Listen, Lego could have done the Cathedral of Chartres.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">They could have done Notre-Dame de Paris.</span></p>

<p>Comedian Matt Rife announced on Friday that he is the new &#8220;guardian&#8221; of a supposedly haunted Raggedy Ann doll named Annabelle.</p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">“We are the legal guardians and caretakers of all 750 haunted artifacts and items in the Warren museum, including the Annabelle doll,” the 29-year-old celeb </span><a href="https://www.tiktok.com/@matt_rife/video/7533784806237211917?lang=en"><span style="font-weight: 400;">said</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;">, referencing himself and TikTok influencer and ghost hunter Elton Castee. He clarified that while he doesn’t own the items, he is responsible for them for the next five years. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">&#8220;This is the most random hobby ever, but it’s so f***ing cool, man,” the comedian said on TikTok. “I should probably collect stamps or something — might be a little safer.”</span></p>

<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Paranormal investigator Dan Rivera, who’s been touring the United States with a supposedly haunted Raggedy Ann doll named Annabelle, died unexpectedly at a hotel, sparking a big reaction online.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Rivera, 54, was found dead in his room on Sunday at the end of his three-day stop in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, as part of his “Devils on the Run Tour” with the doll. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Pennsylvania State Police shared a more detailed report on Wednesday.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">“Members from PSP Gettysburg responded to a hotel in Straban Township, Adams County for a report of a deceased [man],&#8221; the report </span><a href="https://x.com/psptroophpio/status/1945469138668773605?s=46&amp;t=mwcG9TleShkOgZ4z0YNszA"><span style="font-weight: 400;">said</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;">. &#8220;The decedent was discovered in his hotel room by workers.</span></p>

<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The doll collection, including fashion dolls, singing figurines, and deluxe collectible models, was pulled from the shelves at Target as of Monday and is in the process of being removed from other major retailers, such as Walmart, Macy’s, Kohl’s, Best Buy, DSW, and Amazon, per </span><a href="https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/movies/movie-news/wicked-dolls-mattel-mistakenly-link-to-adult-porn-site-1236058013/"><span style="font-weight: 400;">The Hollywood Reporter</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;">. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The boxes were printed with the address of the website wicked.com, which features graphic adult content, instead of the correct address, which is wickedmovie.com. The outlet noted that the wicked.com domain name has been registered to the owner since 1994.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">“Mattel was made aware of a misprint on the packaging of the Mattel Wicked collection dolls, primarily sold in the U.S., which intended to direct consumers to the official WickedMovie.com landing page,” a statement from Mattel issued on Sunday said. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">“We deeply regret this unfortunate error and are taking immediate action to remedy this. Parents are advised that the misprinted, incorrect website is not appropriate for children. <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Rapper T.I. and his wife, R&amp;B singer Tameka “Tiny” Harris, won $71 million in a lawsuit they brought against the toy manufacturer MGA Entertainment. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The couple claimed that MGA violated their intellectual property rights for the musical group OMG Girlz with the creation of the massively popular L.O.L. Surprise! O.M.G. dolls. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The singing group OMG Girlz included Bahja Rodriguez, Breaunna Womack, and Tiny’s daughter Zonnique Pullins. They disbanded in 2015.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The total amount of money awarded includes $17.8 million in real damages, or profits the company made on the toys, and $53.6 million in punitive damages, per </span><a href="https://www.forbes.com/sites/maryroeloffs/2024/09/24/rapper-ti-and-wife-tiny-win-71-million-in-lawsuit-against-maker-of-lol-surprise-dolls-the-case-explained/"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Forbes</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;">.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Jurors found that more than a dozen L.O.L. Surprise! O.M.G. dolls “infringed on the trade dress and misappropriated the name, image, and likeness of the all-female band that T.I. and Tiny formed in 2009,” per a report from <a href="https://people.com/t-i-and-tiny-awarded-71-million-in-lawsuit-against-toy-maker-8717228">People.</a></span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">MGA argued that it didn’t copy off the “short-lived” band or cost them business opportunities. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">This lawsuit represents the third time T.I. and Tiny sued over the appearance of the dolls, accusing the company of &#8220;cultural appropriation and outright theft.” The first court case ended in a mistrial, and the second jury ruled in favor of MGA before the verdict was overturned on appeal. It’s still possible for the toy manufacturer to appeal the current ruling.</span></p>

<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">I have not kept track of this officially, but I’m guessing that, of all the states in the country, California has been featured in the Daily Cancellation the most. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">This is perhaps, these days, the only good thing about California. Yes the entire state is a degenerate cesspool covered in sewage, but at least it provides plenty of content for the last segment of my show. And today the good news is they have done something so stupid that it graduates to the first segment. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">As the Daily Mail reports this week, in a little over a month from now a new law will go into effect in California. Is this a law to address the homeless problem? Is it a law meant to clean up the streets, tamp down on the rampant crime, and make communities safe and livable again? No, of course not. Why would California’s lawmakers care about any of that? No, this is a law that addresses a far more pressing concern: gender-neutral toy sections. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">We know leftists see the toy industry like they see everything: an ideological battleground, another politicized arena to defeat traditional concepts of gender and usher in a new ambiguous dystopia where kids can live as amorphous, genderless blobs of nondescript matter.</span></p>
<p><a href="https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/california/index.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><span style="font-weight: 400;">The Daily Mail</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;"> has more:</span></p>
<blockquote><p><em><span style="font-weight: 400;">California retailers that refuse to have a gender-neutral section for children will be fined up to $500 under </span><a href="https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/gavin-newsom/index.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Gavin Newsom&#8217;s</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;"> new bill. The ultra-woke governor signed legislation in 2021 that would require some retail stores in the Golden State to have a gender-neutral section for children. Retailers would have to do this &#8216;regardless of whether they have been traditionally marketed for either girls or for boys,&#8217; the bill said. The legislation, Assembly Bill No. 10584, will be enacted on January 1, 2024, and if retail department stores choose not to comply, they will have to dish out a civil penalty of $250 or $500. Department stores that are subject to the new laws will have to have a total of 500 or more employees, be physically located in California and sell &#8216;childcare items or toys’… Californian Democratic Congressman Evan Low backed the bill to the Associated Press  &#8216;We need to stop stigmatizing what&#8217;s acceptable for certain genders and just let kids be kids,&#8217; he said. &#8216;My hope is this bill encourages more businesses across California and the U.S. to avoid reinforcing harmful and outdated stereotypes,&#8217; Low said.</span></em></p></blockquote>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">So, the law will end the segregated, Apartheid-like conditions in toy stores in the state, getting rid of gender labels and allowing toys to express their true, gender-fluid identities. This is all meant to reduce “harmful stereotypes.”</span></p>
<h3><strong><a href="https://www.dailywire.com/episode/ep-1275-california-lawmakers-focus-on-what-matters-gender-neutral-toys" target="_blank" rel="noopener">WATCH: The Matt Walsh Show</a></strong></h3>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">You may be wondering, if you’re a sane person, how exactly does the average toy section in the average store “reinforce harmful stereotypes”? In fact, you may be wondering what a “harmful stereotype” even is, or how a stereotype can be harmful. Literally all gender stereotypes — and race stereotypes, and ethnic stereotypes — are grounded in truth. That’s how they became stereotypes. Which is why you have never in your life heard a stereotype about a group of people and said to yourself, “What? I’ve never seen anyone in that group act THAT way!” Stereotypes arise when we notice that certain groups of people tend to act certain ways, generally speaking. This isn’t harmful. It’s mostly neutral. It just is what it is. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Fortunately, California state Representative Evan Low goes into more detail about this issue, trying to explain how and why “gendered toys” are dangerous: </span></p>
<blockquote><p><em><span style="font-weight: 400;">Part of it is to make sure if you’re a young girl that you can find a police car, fire truck, a periodic table or a dinosaur. And then similarly, if you’re a boy, if you’re more artistic and want to play with glitter, why not? Why should you feel the stigma of saying, ‘Oh, this should be shamed’ and going to a different location?</span></em></p></blockquote>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">First of all, this is perhaps neither here nor there, but as a parent, I believe glitter should be shamed for both boys and girls. Glitter is a plague that has been banned from my house entirely. Glitter manufacturers should be raided by the FBI, forcibly shut down, and all of their employees thrown in federal prison. Even just one ounce of glitter will produce a mess in your house that can never be cleaned up. A glitter spill is like Chernobyl — you’ll still be dealing with the after-effects three decades later. The stuff is cursed, and should be banned. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Anyway, aside from that, it appears Evan Low is laboring under the impression that, without this law in place, girls were somehow physically prohibited from entering the aisles where fire trucks and dinosaurs are sold. Or maybe he thought these items were hidden down some deep labyrinthine corridor where only those with Y chromosomes were allowed to enter. But this was not the case. Without the gender-neutral toy law, girls were easily able to find fire trucks and police cars if they wanted them. And there was nobody stopping them, or standing there pointing and laughing at them and saying, “Why are you buying that? You’re a girl!” That literally has never happened in the history of toy purchases. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">This bill is, at the very best, totally unnecessary. Which ironically is something the author of the bill basically admitted back when the legislation was first passed. Watch:</span></p>

<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">“Stores are already doing this, which is why we need a law requiring that they do it!” That appears to be the argument. Because it has to go one way or another. Either this is a law that will impose on retailers the burdensome and utterly pointless task of rearranging their stores to make the toy sections less organized and more difficult to navigate for customers, or it’s a law mandating something that has already happened. Either the law is cumbersome and pointless, or redundant and pointless. Or, I suppose, cumbersome and redundant and pointless. I think it’s likely in that third category. But there is no scenario where the law is necessary or good.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">That’s because, among other reasons, the binary is one of the fundamental, defining, immutable realities of human existence. With it comes the obvious physical differences between the sexes. But also, as we’ve alluded to, the differences in tendencies and interests. That’s why we’ve come to associate baby dolls with girls and toy trucks with boys. They don’t gravitate to their respective toys because we have made this association. We have made the association because they gravitate that way. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Girls are natural nurturers and caretakers, boys are naturally builders and fighters. That’s why girls like the baby dolls and boys like the trucks and the action figures. If left to their own devices, almost all girls and boys will go in those separate directions. The Left doesn’t want to free boys to play with dolls or girls to play with trucks. They are already free to do that if they want to. Instead they want to engineer boys with feminine interests and girls with masculine interests. They are not actually trying to break outside of the binary at all. They’re trying instead to confuse the picture within it. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">That’s because you can’t break outside of it. Which is why it’s always funny to make note of the fact that the Left inevitably ends up accidentally reinforcing the gender binary in their efforts to deconstruct it. After all, if you walk into a section of the store and see fire trucks and baby dolls next to each other, and you say, “Oh this must be a gender-neutral section,” you are affirming the gender binary just by saying that. And laws requiring such arrangements are also affirming it. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">This is the terrible fact the Left can’t get around, no matter how hard it tries. The terrible fact — which is not terrible at all, in my view — is the gender binary. There are two sexes, and those two sexes have distinct features and functions, and they have certain tendencies and proclivities, and there is literally nothing you can do to escape that fact.</span></p>

<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">This is what happens when you try to make non-binary toy sections, or non-binary people for that matter. A person who identifies as non-binary will usually end up dressing in some weird, clashing combination of male and female clothing. This person — let’s say a woman, for example — will be very careful to incorporate feminine and masculine elements in the way that she dresses and comports herself. Or at least that’s what she’ll try to do. Usually she’ll still end up looking like a woman — just a woman with a goofy sense of style. But even if she succeeds in appearing like some kind of mismatched, jumbled Mrs Potato Head Doll — with male and female elements mixed together — still she has not escaped the binary. Because still she only has male and female elements to work with. There is no third or fourth category. You can be a woman who looks like a woman, or a woman who looks a little bit like a man, or a woman who looks like some sort of avant-garde combination, but no matter what you are still stuck in the binary. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">In fact the more you try to escape the binary, the more you make yourself into a reminder of it. </span></p>
