TMZ tried to post a “gotcha” story about Los Angeles mayoral candidate Spencer Pratt, only to have it completely backfire.
It all started on Wednesday when the entertainment outlet published an <a href="https://www.tmz.com/2026/05/13/spencer-pratt-staying-at-bel-air-hotel/">exclusive piece</a> revealing that Pratt, whose house burned down during the Palisades fire in January 2025, had been staying at the “swanky Hotel Bel Air” rather than living in the airstream trailer featured in his first viral political ad. 
The ad contrasted his Airstream trailer sitting on an empty lot with sprawling mansions inhabited by his opponents Karen Bass and Nithya Raman.
The outlet noted that Hotel Bel Air is “as luxurious as it gets” and said you “can&#8217;t get a room for less than $1,500 a night.”
Pratt hit back hard by calling TMZ founder Harvey Levin directly and refuting the claims made in the article. The former reality star appeared on TMZ Live that same day to state his case.
“I don&#8217;t live at the hotel Bel Air. I don&#8217;t live in the Airstream. I don&#8217;t live in Santa Barbara. I don&#8217;t have a house. They burned it down,” Pratt argued.

Levin kept mentioning the ad, during which Pratt stood in front of the trailer saying, “I live here.” But the mayoral hopeful was adamant that he doesn’t really live anywhere due to the failings of current leadership.
&#8220;That is where I live, period. I don&#8217;t need to sleep there every night. I don&#8217;t need to go number two on that toilet. That is where I live,” he repeated, insisting that because it was his address, and the hotel was a temporary solution, his wording still made sense for the ad.
Pratt further described his life since launching his campaign, saying he’d received death threats and was forced to hire private security and move his family from where they had been staying. He also claimed he was only sleeping four hours per night due to stress. 
&#8220;I&#8217;m at a hotel because these psychopaths are messaging me every day saying they’re going to kill me,” Pratt said.
Commenters on social media were strongly on Pratt’s side, saying TMZ’s attempted takedown was a massive fail. 
The gossip outlet put out a <a href="https://x.com/TMZ/status/2054642791129690193">poll</a> asking if the article had convinced people to turn on Pratt, and even their audience said they were still on his side, with 93.7% of respondents saying, “No, his house is gone!”
Many of the reactions to TMZ Live were strongly in favor of Pratt.
“Most embarrassing thing I’ve ever watched,” one person <a href="https://x.com/BDHerren/status/2054729281662554387">said</a>. 
“Living in a hotel obviously means you’re homeless right? Stationing a small trailer on your property where your house was let burn down and is located in the middle of nowhere is a tragedy,” another <a href="https://x.com/MagaMexicano/status/2054771122479173875">agreed</a>.
“This is terrible, TMZ. The dude is homeless because Karen Bass let his house burn down due to gargantuan incompetence. His airstream is all he owns right now. He’s a fire victim. You really tried to do a hit piece here,” a third commenter <a href="https://x.com/SunDhillon/status/2054690605113184323">agreed</a>.
Pratt’s mayoral campaign has blown up nationwide as viewers react to his willingness to bluntly call out failed progressive policies in Los Angeles. While he’s currently the underdog in the polls, he’s going all out with ads and interviews to make his case.
The former star of the MTV reality show “The Hills” is set to face incumbent Mayor Karen Bass and far-Left Councilwoman Nithya Raman in the June 2 mayoral primary.

Comedian and HBO host <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/bill-maher" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Bill Maher</a> laid into Governor Gavin Newsom during a recent TMZ interview, arguing that if California leadership could cut through oppressive regulations and &#8220;red tape,&#8221; they should have done so before the southern part of the state had burned to the ground.
Maher argued that it wasn&#8217;t really a Left or Right issue, but one of accountability, telling TMZ hosts Harvey Levin and Charles Latibeaudiere that he&#8217;d had previous run-ins with California&#8217;s extensive building regulations when he had tried to install a shed and some solar panels on his own property.
&#8220;I always think there’s a middle of the road, actual practical solution to everything and for this I would say, was California’s uber progressive politics the cause of this fire? Of course not. Did it impede them to some degree? Absolutely. That’s the margin of error that I’m saying we can’t abide by anymore,&#8221; Maher explained.

The comedian, who had previously detailed his own difficulties with the state&#8217;s excessive red tape on his own show — HBO&#8217;s &#8220;Real Time&#8221; — said that he was in favor of holding all government officials accountable.
&#8220;Now, as far as the red tape, I see that they’re all — Newsom, Bass — they’re all saying, we’re going to cut red tape, as if they’re doing us a favor,&#8221; Maher continued. &#8220;My question is, well, if you can do it now, why didn’t you always do it? Republican presidential candidate <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/vivek-ramaswamy" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Vivek Ramaswamy</a> has been making the legacy media rounds slamming the &#8220;climate change&#8221; narrative, deeming the latest pundit talking point a &#8220;hoax&#8221; after hitting the issue during last week&#8217;s GOP debate.
Ramaswamay argued during an interview with MSNBC host Andrea Mitchell that technology powered by fossil fuels significantly reduced climate-related deaths after Mitchell attempted to corner him for claiming during the debate that &#8220;more people are dying of bad climate change policies than they are of actual climate change.&#8221;
Mitchell cited a recent <a href="https://turkiye.un.org/en/232828-extreme-weather-caused-two-million-deaths-cost-4-trillion-over-last-50-years">U.N. agency report</a> that said extreme weather events compounded by climate change caused the death of two million people in the last 50 years. The GOP presidential hopeful countered the claim, citing &#8220;evidence that the number of climate disaster-related deaths is down by 98% over the last century.&#8221;
&#8220;The number of people who died of hurricanes, tornadoes, heatwaves, and other weather-related events in 1920 — for every 100 that died then, two die today,&#8221; he said, appearing to reference recent data on climate disaster-related deaths published by the <a href="https://www.wsj.com/articles/climate-activists-disasters-fire-storms-deaths-change-cop26-glasgow-global-warming-11635973538">Wall Street Journal</a> and the <a href="https://nypost.com/2022/04/30/deaths-in-climate-disasters-declined-99-from-a-century-ago/">New York Post</a>.
&#8220;And the reason why is more plentiful, abundant access to fossil fuels and technology powered by fossil fuels,&#8221; Ramaswamy said. &#8220;Eight times as many people die of cold temperatures than die of warm ones. The right answer to all temperature-related deaths is more plentiful abundant access to fossil fuels.&#8221;
As highlighted by <a href="https://www.forbes.com/sites/joshuacohen/2023/07/19/excessive-summer-heat-can-kill-but-extreme-cold-causes-more-fatalities/?sh=388800c31d88">Forbes</a>, a <a href="https://www.washingtonpost.com/climate-environment/interactive/2023/hot-cold-extreme-temperature-deaths/">2021 study</a> published in The Lancet Planetary Health found that &#8220;for every death linked to heat, nine are connected to cold.&#8221;
Mitchell then pointed to Hurricane Idalia as an example, citing former St. Petersburg Mayor Bill Foster, who <a href="https://www.kcra.com/article/tampa-bay-serious-idalia-flooding-dodges-direct-hit/44965120#:~:text=from%20flooded%20homes.-,%22Make%20no%20mistake%2C%20this%20hurricane%20left%20its%20mark%2C%22,could%20have%20been%20much%20worse." target="_blank" rel="noopener">reportedly</a> said he&#8217;s never seen anything like the natural disaster. Before Mitchell could move forward in her interview with Ramaswamy, the 38-year-old Republican interjected.
&#8220;If someone on the other side or an uneducated person from Arkansas who didn&#8217;t go to college and offered one weather event as an end of one anecdote to help support a theory of global climate change, you&#8217;d laugh them off the stage as a rube for saying they don&#8217;t follow data,&#8221; he said. &#8220;The same shoe has to fit the other foot. Follow the actual data.&#8221;

Mitchell said, &#8220;I&#8217;m not talking about one person&#8217;s opinion — we talk to professors, academics, industry people…&#8221;
&#8220;You literally just quoted one person&#8217;s opinion,&#8221; Ramaswamy interjected again. &#8220;With due respect, that&#8217;s exactly what you just quoted. And I think that that&#8217;s what&#8217;s driving this kind of false narrative as opposed to the facts that I&#8217;m citing.&#8221;
After he made similar arguments in the first GOP primary debate, left-leaning fact-checkers took aim at Ramaswamy&#8217;s claims. <a href="https://www.politifact.com/factchecks/2023/aug/24/vivek-ramaswamy/vivek-ramsaswamys-misleading-gop-debate-claim-abou/">PolitiFact</a>, which gave a &#8220;Pants on Fire&#8221; rating to his primary argument, did acknowledge, however, that deaths from climate disasters are down. &#8220;Although historical <a href="https://public.wmo.int/en/media/press-release/weather-related-disasters-increase-over-past-50-years-causing-more-damage-fewer" rel="noopener">data</a> does show deaths from weather disasters have declined since the 1900s, experts said that’s largely attributable to better disaster warning systems.&#8221; PolitiFact went on to assert that &#8220;such data does not undermine evidence that extreme weather worsened by a warming planet has taken millions of lives.&#8221;
During an interview with TMZ, Ramaswamy similarly challenged hosts Harvey Levin and Charles Latibeaudiere&#8217;s climate change arguments by pointing out variables relating to deaths and survival rates in the climate narrative.
&#8220;We&#8217;re in Los Angeles, and we just had this crazy tropical storm, and I&#8217;m an old dog, and I&#8217;ve never seen anything like that in my lifetime,&#8221; Levin said. &#8220;Maui burned up, at least Lahaina did, and the country is experiencing temperatures that we&#8217;ve never seen before, as is the world. And I heard what you said during the debate where you brushed aside climate change. What do you think is causing all this?&#8221;
After reiterating similar talking points he&#8217;d given on MSNBC less than 48 hours earlier, Ramaswamy said, &#8220;The right answer to all temperature-related deaths is more abundant fossil fuels. The earth is covered by <a href="https://www.nasa.gov/feature/greening-of-the-earth-mitigates-surface-warming">more green surface area</a> today than it was half a century or a century ago because carbon dioxide is plant food. These are the hard facts, not theories, that you don&#8217;t hear from the climate agenda.&#8221;

Even someone with a passing interest in entertainment probably remembers that wild night in 2007 when Britney Spears, sporting a freshly shaved head, attacked a paparazzi’s car with her umbrella while screaming “f*** you!”
There was no question at that time that the world’s biggest pop star had reached a breaking point. That incident and others led to her family members successfully putting Spears under a conservatorship led by her now estranged father, Jamie Spears. Few people questioned if it was necessary at the time because it so clearly was.
Fast forward 16 years and things are a little murkier. Following the momentum of the FreeBritney movement, led by fans who insisted Spears should be “freed” from her conservatorship, the 41-year-old pop singer is finally free to do as she wants again. But at what cost? 
Now that they got what they wanted, fans are worried all over again as the “Toxic” singer continues to behave in bizarre and unpredictable ways. She hasn’t brandished any umbrellas recently or shaved her head. Still, there are quite a few fans who wouldn’t be too shocked if she did.
The new documentary “TMZ Investigates: Britney Spears, The Price of Freedom” delves into what’s happened in the year since Spears was freed from the conservatorship. Some of the claims are based on rumors, but plenty can be supported with evidence posted on social media.
According to the TMZ series, Spears has been living in “virtual isolation” since having her conservatorship dissolved. They claim the singer spends her days reading fiction, suntanning, and driving around aimlessly. 
“Sometimes she’ll drive to a quiet dirt path, park and just kind of meditate,” TMZ news director Brad Appleton said.
“She hangs out at her pool because she loves to tan. She works out in her gym, and she dances wildly and a lot,” TMZ producer Katie Hayes explained. This claim has plenty of evidence to back it up.
Followers know for certain that the “Gimme More” singer has been posting strange videos of herself on Instagram. Spears has become notorious for sharing clips of herself dancing, often while dressed in skimpy outfits. The pop star follows that up by deleting her social media accounts and reinstating them over and over again.
These provocative posts are one suspected reason that Spears allegedly hasn’t seen her two teenage sons, Jayden and Sean Preston, in over a year. The boys were not present at her wedding to Sam Asghari in June 2022. They are supposedly embarrassed by their mother’s posts and are living full time with Spears’ ex-husband Kevin Federline.
“By the end of last summer, tensions between them had gotten so bad, the boys weren’t even responding to her texts,” one source claimed in the documentary. “And she was furious.”
“I don’t think I would have wanted to worry about all of my friends and schoolmates accessing social media and seeing pictures of my mother half or full unclothed,” a source alleged.
“The Price of Freedom” discusses several other rumors about Spears, including one about how those closest to the pop star were instructed to keep knives away from her. The documentary also alleges that Spears drinks copious amounts of caffeine, which keeps her awake for days at a time.
TMZ founder Harvey Levin <a href="https://pagesix.com/2023/05/16/britney-spears-the-price-of-freedom-doc-most-shocking-moments/">said</a> multiple sources discussed how Spears “drinks coffee, Red Bull, Celsius and dandelion tea by the gallons, and that contributes to her manic episodes.”
Spears previously refuted claims that she was addicted to caffeine.
“My mind gets busy and sometimes that can be an easy target to mess with…. Anyways, I’m sticking to watermelon juice, which is the weirdest thing ever but I was told for years I can’t have coffee and now that I can it’s my pride… I can’t even look at it !!! And green tea is my prized possession !!! You clever little turds…” she <a href="https://www.instagram.com/p/CsHkVMkvpls/?utm_source=ig_embed&amp;ig_rid=df917496-701d-4a3c-8560-f03536a2f7a4">wrote</a> in a lengthy Instagram post.
“Sorry but I never stay up late with Red Bull !!! It is absolutely the worst drink ever,” she went on. “I don’t like people in media bullying me and saying hateful things.”
Sources in the documentary also put the spotlight on Spears’ marriage to Asghari. They allege that the relationship is in “deep trouble” and that the celebrity has become physical when fighting with him.
“He’s a big guy and we’re told pretty passive, so he just takes it, so he does get angry, and screaming matches are not infrequent,” managing editor Fabian Garcia said.
The documentary also claimed that Asghari doesn’t sleep at the house very often.
Asghari, 29, said these rumors are all lies. “I found it absolutely disgusting that people that were in her life at the time, when she didn’t have a voice, they went and told her story like it was theirs. It was absolutely disgusting,” Asghari said in a video he posted to Instagram stories.
Asghari went on: “How are you gonna take the most influential person of our generation, the princess of pop, America’s sweetheart, and put her in prison where her father tells her what to do, what water to drink, who to see, and use her as a money-making machine?”
“Then, all the sudden, after 15 years when she’s free, after all those gaslighting and after all those things that went down, how are you gonna put her under a microscope and tell her story? No. That’s also disgusting.”
In February, Spears addressed the multitude of unauthorized documentaries being released about her. 
“With 4 documentaries released about me last year with people I adore speaking about my past !!” she <a href="https://variety.com/2023/music/news/britney-spears-pamela-anderson-documentary-memoir-1235511031/">wrote</a> in an Instagram post which praised Pamela Anderson. “Unfortunately, the way my past was portrayed in those documentaries was extremely embarrassing !!! It felt semi-illegal !!!”
So far Spears hasn’t responded directly to the TMZ documentary or its validity. And though her fans are nervous, they’re still wildly supportive, which becomes immediately evident in the comments of anything she posts on Instagram. They may worry about Spears but they’re still clearly rooting for her.

American actor Tom Sizemore, known for his role in &#8220;Saving Private Ryan,&#8221; was hospitalized Sunday after suffering a brain aneurysm.
Sizemore&#8217;s representative told media outlets that he suffered the injury in the early morning hours. He is in critical condition.
&#8220;He is in the hospital,&#8221; Sizemore&#8217;s representative Charles Lago told <a href="https://www.foxnews.com/entertainment/tom-sizemore-critical-condition-suffering-brain-aneurysm" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Fox News</a>. &#8220;His family is aware of the situation and are hoping for the best. It is too early to know about [a] recovery situation as he is in critical condition and under observation.&#8221;
Lago told <a href="https://www.tmz.com/2023/02/19/tom-sizemore-aneurysm-actor-critical-hospital/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">TMZ</a> that Sizemore was at his home in Los Angeles at around 2 a.m. when he suddenly collapsed unconscious. Someone in the home found him and called 911. Paramedics arrived and took him to a hospital, where he was admitted to the intensive care unit. Lago said that the actor was in a &#8220;bad way,&#8221; and that the possibility of a full recovery is uncertain.
The actor starred in a number of high-profile movies in the late 1990s and early 2000s, particularly war films.
He also played an unnamed Vietnam War veteran in Oliver Stone&#8217;s 1989 war film &#8220;Born on the Fourth of July,&#8221; a DEA Agent in 1991&#8217;s &#8220;Point Break,&#8221; Bat Masterson in the 1994 Western &#8220;Wyatt Earp,&#8221; and had a supporting role in 1995&#8217;s &#8220;Heat.&#8221;
In 1998, Sizemore starred as Technical Sergeant Mike Horvath in Steven Spielberg&#8217;s World War II epic &#8220;Saving Private Ryan.&#8221; He went on to star in two more war films in 2001, Michael Bay&#8217;s &#8220;Pearl Harbor&#8221; and Ridley Scott&#8217;s &#8220;Black Hawk Down.&#8221;
Sizemore has had a complicated personal life, including run-ins with law enforcement and a continual drug habit. He was married to soap opera star Maeve Quinlan from 1996-1999, but they divorced because of his drug issues. He has two children with another woman, twin sons Jagger and Jayden.
In 2017, <a href="https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/general-news/tom-sizemore-was-removed-movie-set-allegedly-violating-11-year-old-girl-1057629/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">The Hollywood Reporter</a> claimed that Sizemore was kicked off the set of the film &#8220;Born Killers&#8221; in 2003 for allegedly molesting a child actress. The actress filed suit against him in 2018, but it was thrown out in 2020. Sizemore was also questioned by police in <a href="https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1386372/Tom-Sizemore-questioned-police-missing-girlfriend.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">2011</a> after his then-girlfriend went missing.
Sizemore talked about his drug abuse and recovery in a 2021 interview with Fox News. &#8220;I’ve been trying to get sober since 1991,&#8221; he said. &#8220;It became really big news much later than that, but I was trying to stop. I’ve had a problem for a long time. I had periods, long periods, of sobriety and I would end up relapsing.&#8221;

Britney Spears issued a scathing response Thursday to reports of her friends and family planning an intervention for her safety.
Earlier this week, <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/tmz">TMZ</a> published a <a href="https://www.tmz.com/2023/02/09/britney-spears-family-friends-intervention-substance-abuse/">report</a>, which cited unnamed sources, claiming the <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/celebrities">pop star</a>’s friends and family had planned an intervention due to concerns about her mental health.
“I’m afraid she’s gonna die,” one of the sources reportedly told TMZ. 
According to the outlet, multiple people with direct knowledge of the situation called Spears&#8217; behavior volatile. They said she&#8217;s been “flying off the handle” and had been taking medications that &#8220;hype her up” while avoiding other meds that are supposed to calm her down.
Multiple outlets picked up the story, which inspired the singer to refute the entire story in an Instagram post late Thursday night.
First, the 41-year-old performing artist shared a quote that said, “A state of gratitude will shift you to a higher frequency.” Spears wrote in the <a href="https://www.instagram.com/p/CoeAkhkNjLj/">caption</a>, “It makes me sick to my stomach that it’s even legal for people to make up stories that I almost died.&#8221;
“I mean at some point enough is enough!!! I’m probably going to have to stop posting on Instagram because even though I enjoy doing it, there’s obviously a lot of people who don’t wish me well!!! I’m honestly not surprised at all … Again doing the best I can!!!,” she went on.
Next, she addressed the conservatorship. “Again, the conservatorship has been over for almost a year … No folks, it’s not 2007 … it’s 2023 and I’m making my first homemade lasagna at home!!!” Spears wrote. “I finally got my fireplace to work in my living room!!! As my hubby says it best: don’t believe everything you read!!! All that love right back at ya!!!”
The “Toxic” singer has been under constant scrutiny since the end of her 13-year conservatorship in November 2021. Since that time, Spears has made headlines for her seemingly erratic behavior as well as the provocative videos she’s been posting to social media. 
Most recently, Spears shot back at fans who called the police to go check on her after she deleted her Instagram account. “Police were called to my home based on some prank phone calls. I love and adore my fans but this time things went a little too far and my privacy was invaded,” the singer <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/britney-spears-accuses-alyssa-milano-of-bullying-for-suggesting-fans-go-check-on-her">shared on Twitter</a> January 26. “The police never entered my home and when they came to my gate they quickly realized there was no issue and left immediately.”

Britney Spears allegedly caused a scene Friday night at a restaurant in Los Angeles that resulted in her husband storming out of the establishment.
TMZ obtained video reportedly of Spears in the restaurant with her security guard, although it appears to have been taken shortly after the incident occurred.
Eyewitnesses <a href="https://www.tmz.com/2023/01/14/britney-spears-sam-asghari-manic-restaurant-storms-out/">told</a> the publication that Spears and husband Sam Asghari were immediately recognized when they arrived at JOEY restaurant in Woodland Hills.
The publication said that the incident appears to have occurred after patrons started pulling out their phones and taking pictures of Spears, which caused her to get annoyed.
Eyewitnesses told TMZ that the singer became &#8220;manic&#8221; and began yelling gibberish, while Asghari became angry and left the restaurant.
The video posted by TMZ showed Spears holding up a menu to block her face from the person who was recording her.
Quickly after her husband left the restaurant, Spears also left, the report said. Her security guard returned later to pay the bill.
Jamie Spears, Britney Spears&#8217; father, spoke out several weeks ago about the his daughter’s conservatorship, which he managed, after it came to an end over a year ago.
The conservatorship, which ended in November 2021, was in place for 13 years, The Daily Wire <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/judge-ends-britney-spears-conservatorship" target="_blank" rel="noopener">reported</a>. Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Brenda Penny granted the pop star’s petition to have the agreement terminated.
Penny’s order followed a hearing that September in which she suspended Jamie Spears from having control over Britney’s roughly $60 million estate. In Jamie Spears’ place, Penny appointed a certified public accountant.
Jamie Spears, 70, gave the <a href="https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-11549597/Jamie-insists-Britney-Spears-controversial-13-year-conservatorship-saved-ruin.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">interview</a> to the Daily Mail, which said it was Spears’ first interview in more than a decade.
“Not everybody’s going to agree with me,” he said. “It’s been one hell of a time. But I love my daughter with all my heart and soul. Where would Britney be right now without that conservatorship? And I don’t know if she’d be alive. I don’t.”
Jamie Spears said that the conservatorship was needed to protect her children, and said that there were positive family moments along the way.
“We could take the kids to Europe. They didn’t miss time with their mother. They didn’t miss time with their father. Not many people knew that. The main purpose was to get Britney back with her kids in a comfortable relationship,” he said. “We did everything in the world with them.”
Jamie Spears said that most people “don’t have a clue what the truth is” regarding what personal things went on behind the scenes in reference to the conservatorship.
“The media has not heard the truth. They’ve heard the allegations from Britney,” he said. “I don’t mind taking that beating because I know it’s not true, and because I don’t want to start something else. For my daughter to end up going further down the hole than she had been.”

New details emerged late this week about what transpired in the hospital that allegedly led to the death of Lisa Marie Presley, daughter of Elvis and Priscilla Presley, after paramedics responded to an emergency call at her home in California.
TMZ first <a href="https://www.tmz.com/2023/01/12/lisa-marie-presley-rushed-to-hospital-cardiac-arrest/?adid=share-tw">reported</a> that paramedics performed CPR on Presley, 54, at her Calabasas home after she went into “full arrest” before transporting her to a medical facility.
Presley was then placed “on life support with a temporary pacemaker” and was “in an induced coma and in critical condition.”
A subsequent report from the publication said that the doctors pronounced her &#8220;brain dead&#8221; after she was admitted to the hospital.
Presley&#8217;s family members signed a do-not-resuscitate order, sources <a href="https://www.tmz.com/2023/01/13/lisa-marie-presley-death-second-cardiac-arrest-do-not-resuscitate-order-dnr/">told</a> TMZ, and Presley died after she suffered a second cardiac arrest.
Priscilla Presley <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/lisa-marie-presley-daughter-of-elvis-presley-dead-at-54">announced</a> her daughter&#8217;s passing in a statement on Thursday night.
“It is with a heavy heart that I must share the devastating news that my beautiful daughter Lisa Marie has left us,” Priscilla Presley said in a statement. “She was the most passionate, strong and loving woman I have ever known.”

As a teenager, Presley dropped out of high school and later entered rehab after she had started to use drugs. While in rehab, she met musician Danny Keough, whom she later married in 1988 and with whom she had two children, Riley and Benjamin. The two divorced in 1994 after six years of marriage.
Less than a month later, she married singer Michael Jackson, a marriage that would last less than two years.
Presley became engaged to musician John Oszajca several years later in 2000 before she ended that relationship so she could date actor Nicolas Cage.
Cage and Presley married in 2002, but the marriage ended less than four months later.
TMZ added that Presley owned and operated Elvis Presley Enterprises until 2005 when she sold the business.

Law enforcement officials have reportedly indicated that no drugs were found at the scene where rapper Coolio was found dead Wednesday afternoon.
TMZ <a href="https://www.tmz.com/2022/09/28/coolio-dead-dies-los-angeles/?adid=share-tw">reported</a> that the rapper, whose real name is Artis Leon Ivey Jr., died while visiting a friend. He reportedly went to use the bathroom at his friend’s house and did not come back for a while, prompting the friend to go looking for him. The friend found him lying on the floor, at which point he called for help.
The rapper was pronounced dead at the scene.
Law enforcement sources told TMZ that they opened a death investigation but no foul play was suspected and no drugs or drug paraphernalia were found at the scene.
Authorities said that an autopsy and toxicology test would be needed to determine a cause of death, although initial indications pointed to possible cardiac arrest.
“We are saddened by the loss of our dear friend and client, Coolio, who passed away this afternoon,” Coolio’s talent manager, Sheila Finegan, <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/breaking-famed-rapper-coolio-dead-at-59" target="_blank" rel="noopener">said</a> in a statement to The Los Angeles Times. “He touched the world with the gift of his talent and will be missed profoundly.
“Thank you to everyone worldwide who has listened to his music and to everyone who has been reaching out regarding his passing,” she added. “Please have Coolio’s loved ones in your thoughts and prayers.”
Coolio&#8217;s death shocked fans as he had recently played in the 2022 Riot Festival and planned to host other shows in the coming weeks and months.
Coolio went from growing up in tough conditions in Compton, California, to becoming a Grammy award-winning and multi-platinum recording artist, selling more than 17 million records worldwide.
Perhaps his most famous song was “Gangsta’s Paradise,” which helped launch him toward the top of the rap music scene.
Coolio’s <a href="https://coolioworld.com/me/">website</a> noted that the song won a Grammy Award in 1996 for Best Rap Performance, Solo, and that it was featured on the “Dangerous Minds” soundtrack and movie.
The song “was also nominated for a Grammy for Best Song of the Year and it sold over six million copies and was Billboard Magazine’s number one single in 1995,” his site said. “The world recognition led to his music being featured Coolio for several major motion pictures including: Space Jam, Clueless, The Big Payback, Panther, New Jersey Drive, The Jerk Boys, Eddie, Half Baked and many more. He also composed the theme song for the popular kids TV series KENAN on Nickelodeon.”

Law Enforcement Provides Update On Death Of Rapper Coolio

Tony Dow, 77, the “Leave It To Beaver” star, died on Wednesday, the day after his management team made a premature death announcement. 
Dow’s management team made a <a href="https://www.facebook.com/TonyDowActorDirector">statement</a> on the actor&#8217;s Facebook page confirming he died by his family&#8217;s side Wednesday morning. According to the page, his death was confirmed by his son. 
“We know that the world is collectively saddened by the loss of this incredible man,” the statement reads, “He gave so much to us all and was loved by so many.”
Dow&#8217;s wife, Lauren Shulkind, had initially believed her husband had died and later informed his management team, who mistakenly announced Dow&#8217;s death on his Facebook page on Tuesday. Within hours the team removed the post after Dow&#8217;s son told them his father was still alive at home receiving hospice care.
Dow&#8217;s Facebook page includes a statement from his son.
&#8220;Although this is a very sad day — I have comfort and peace that he is in a better place,&#8221; he said.
&#8220;He was the best Dad anyone could ask for. He was my coach, my mentor, my voice of reason, my best friend, my best man in my wedding, and my hero. My wife said something powerful and shows the kind of man he was. She said: &#8220;Tony was such a kind man. He had such a huge heart and I&#8217;ve never heard Tony say a bad or negative thing about anyone.&#8221;
The accidental announcement came just over two months after his wife, Lauren Shulkind, announced the return of his cancer on May 5.
TMZ <a href="https://www.tmz.com/2022/07/27/tony-dow-dead-dies-family-false-report-pass/">reported</a> Dow had been diagnosed with liver cancer in May. A spokesperson for the family told the news outlet Dow&#8217;s cancer battle was &#8220;a rollercoaster of ups and downs,&#8221; noting he was in and out of the hospital with various complications and treatments.
The Washington Post <a href="https://www.washingtonpost.com/obituaries/2022/07/27/tony-dow-leave-to-beaver-wally-dead/">reports</a> Dow&#8217;s manager, Frank Bilotta, said the cause was complications from liver cancer.
Dow, born in Hollywood in 1945, became one of American television&#8217;s biggest household names when he starred as Wally Cleaver on &#8220;Leave It To Beaver.&#8221; The actor appeared in all 234 episodes of the classic show, which ran from 1957 to 1963. He would later reprise his role 20 years later in &#8220;Still the Beaver&#8221; and on &#8220;The New Leave It To Beaver,&#8221; which aired from 1983 to 1989.
The actor also found success working on &#8220;Never Too Late,&#8221; &#8220;My Three Sons,&#8221; and &#8220;Star Trek: Deep Space Nine.&#8221;
In addition to his acting career, Dow served as a director for television and film projects, including the well-known &#8220;Coach&#8221; sitcom and the movie &#8220;Harry and the Hendersons.&#8221;
Beyond the actor&#8217;s well-known work in the film industry, Dow served in the Nation Guard from 1965 to 1968.
Dow&#8217;s management team offered condolences to Dow&#8217;s family and has requested privacy at this time in their time of mourning.
