The social media account for Kamala Harris&#8217;s failed presidential campaign has deleted a false post about political commentator Tim Pool, seemingly as part of a legal settlement that stemmed from a defamation lawsuit.
Pool announced on Friday that the Kamala HQ post, which falsely labeled Pool a &#8220;Trump operative&#8221; associated with Project 2025, was deleted. The post said that Pool was part of a plan to give Trump &#8220;unchecked legal power so they can jail and execute those who don’t support Trump if he wins.&#8221; Pool sued in federal court, saying the false post caused him &#8220;reputational harm&#8221; that would take millions of dollars to undo.
Pool did not reveal the details of any legal settlement with the failed politician&#8217;s campaign, only that it has &#8220;been resolved to my satisfaction.&#8221;

Asked for further details about the legal settlement, Pool said in a statement: &#8220;Hahahahahaha.&#8221;
Pool&#8217;s lawsuit sought a retraction, as well as damages and attorney&#8217;s fees. The deletion appears to be the retraction.
The rest of the posts from Kamala HQ appear to still be up on X, indicating that it was a specific action taken regarding the post on Pool. Making outlandish statements regarding the Heritage Foundation&#8217;s Project 2025 became a central strategy of the Harris campaign.
Even CNN&#8217;s Daniel Dale, a fact-checker who rarely targets Democrats, said the campaign account was &#8220;repeatedly deceptive&#8221; on X.
&#8220;A social media account run by Vice President Kamala Harris’ campaign has been repeatedly deceptive,&#8221; Dale wrote for CNN. &#8220;The <a href="https://x.com/KamalaHQ" target="_blank" rel="noopener">@KamalaHQ</a> account, which has more than 1.3 million followers on the X social media platform formerly known as Twitter, has made a habit of misleadingly clipping and inaccurately captioning video clips to attack former President Donald Trump.&#8221;
The account hasn&#8217;t posted since November 5, when Harris lost the presidency to Republican Donald Trump.

Political commentator Tim Pool told Ben Shapiro on Friday that he was unaware that the founders of a media company that licensed one of his talk shows were being paid by Russians, and was blindsided by the allegations from the Department of Justice earlier this week.
In his first interview since the DOJ indictment, Pool, the host of the popular Timcast show, reiterated on &#8220;<a href="https://www.dailywire.com/episode/ep-2042-member-exclusive" target="_blank" rel="noopener">The Ben Shapiro Show</a>&#8221; that he had very limited contact with Tenet Media, which is accused by federal prosecutors of secretly taking money from Russians and licensed one of his spin-off shows called the &#8220;Culture War&#8221; podcast. He also explained that Tenet, which was founded by conservative commentator Lauren Chen, didn&#8217;t even have exclusive rights to his show, much less editorial input on it.
&#8220;That&#8217;s the crazy thing, it&#8217;s not even an exclusive show, it&#8217;s not exclusive, we published it other places, we own all the rights for it,&#8221; Pool said. &#8220;And so now we get entrenched in whatever this is, and I&#8217;m just like, nah, I don&#8217;t have anything to do with this. I don&#8217;t know what it is Lauren Chen was doing. I&#8217;m quite perturbed by the allegations. I don&#8217;t know what will turn out to be true, but I&#8217;m pissed.&#8221;

Pool said his comments criticizing Ukraine are rooted in his anger that the United States is spending resources abroad when it should be spending them on domestic problems.
Chen, a Canadian-born YouTuber and <a href="https://x.com/AGHamilton29/status/1831433336293880183" target="_blank" rel="noopener">former RT employee</a>, and her husband, Liam Donovan, are not named but referenced in the <a href="https://www.justice.gov/opa/media/1366266/dl" target="_blank" rel="noopener">indictment</a> as founders of Tenet Media.
The Russian defendants allegedly worked with Chen and Donovan to “mask” the “true source of funding” for the company, which the indictment revealed to be RT — a Russian state broadcaster.
Chen and Donovan were accused of “falsely portraying” to commentators such as Pool that their company was sponsored by a private investor named “Eduard Grigoriann” — a persona that turned out to be fake.
The Blaze has cut ties with Chen over the Russia allegations. Pool says he&#8217;s been contacted by the FBI, which is treating him as a victim of the scheme.

In a post on X, Trump’s campaign wrote, “If you are one of the millions of American Patriots wanting to donate to Donald Trump’s campaign and you get an error message from [WINRED] …don’t give up!”
“Log back on and try again,” it added, encouraging supporters to keep trying. “Or Text TRUMP to 88022 Help us send weak JoeBiden packing !!!”
The crash came after jurors returned a <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/verdict-trump-found-guilty-on-all-charges-in-hush-money-case">guilty verdict</a> on all 34 counts against Trump in the hush-money trial, marking the first time a former U.S. president has been convicted of a crime.
Not only did Trump’s donations page crash after the guilty verdict, but so did DonaldJTrump.com, which forwards to his WinRed page.

A page on X&#8217;s website that <a href="https://help.twitter.com/en/rules-and-policies/abusive-behavior" target="_blank" rel="noopener">says it was updated</a> in January 2024 contains a section on &#8220;Use of Prior Names and Pronouns.&#8221; The section claims that X &#8220;will reduce the visibility of posts that purposefully use different pronouns to address someone other than what that person uses for themselves, or that use a previous name that someone no longer goes by as part of their transition.&#8221;
Responding to one X user who shared screen grabs that indicated <a href="https://help.twitter.com/en/rules-and-policies/hateful-conduct-policy" target="_blank" rel="noopener">a gender identity policy</a> was being enforced, Pool said, &#8220;Hateful conduct.&#8221; He also said, &#8220;X is the woke mind virus,&#8221; adding, &#8220;I hope this gets resolved.&#8221;

In a surprise drop by popular podcaster Tim Pool’s music label Trash House Records, Pool and producer Carter Banks debuted a <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=11UGFDGc4pM" target="_blank" rel="noopener">chart-topping cover</a> of Smokey Mike &amp; The god-king’s hit song “Together Again.” 
Shortly after its midnight release, “Together Again” by Pool and Banks debuted at the top spot on the <a href="https://geo.itunes.apple.com/us/album/together-again-single/1719588971?ls=1&amp;app=itunes">iTunes</a> chart above hit songs like Mariah Carey’s “All I Want for Christmas is You” and “No More Dream” by BTS. Smokey Mike &amp; the god-king performed “<a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wP6wA6GLuNE">Together Again</a>” live at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville last year during a Daily Wire “Backstage Live” event.

Boreing joined Tim Pool on his podcast and web show “Timcast” on Tuesday evening. During the show, they discussed The Daily Wire’s venture into entertainment with the trailer, released on Monday, for its first-ever feature-length comedy “<a href="https://www.dailywire.com/videos/lady-ballers">Lady Ballers</a>.” The comedy mocks the recent and controversial phenomenon of men competing in women’s sports and is described in the trailer as the “most triggering comedy of the year.”
Many people interested in the new comedy were surprised at the release of the new movie, largely because they did not know it was being created. Boreing said that that was by design and that The Daily Wire kept the filming secret to avoid unwanted attention from bad actors.
&#8220;One of the things people said to me all day today, in fact, one of the people here at your place said, ‘How did we not know about this?’ Well, we went out of our way to make sure people didn’t know about it, in particular with ‘Lady Ballers,’” Boreing told Pool. “We knew if people knew about it, they would find a way to stop us.”
“The whole time we were making the film, we were [using] pseudonyms. We called it ‘Coach Miracle’ in all the written material during the production. Everyone is out to stop the kind of work that we are doing,” Boreing added.

During an appearance on the “PBD Podcast” on Tuesday morning, Boreing, the film’s director, <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/jeremy-boreing-says-theaters-wont-touch-lady-ballers-because-hollywood-has-made-transgenderism-its-religion" target="_blank" rel="noopener">said</a> the movie would not appear in theaters because of reluctance by Hollywood and the entertainment industry in general to touch any product seen as criticizing the transgender ideology.
“This is the religious issue of our time for the Left,” Boreing said. “This represents the culmination of their religious beliefs, so when we went to theatrical distributors, [they] were not even going to engage in the conversation.”

Elon Musk’s X-Corp asked a California court on Friday to overturn a first-of-its-kind online content moderation law, arguing the measure pressures social media platforms to censor discourse viewed as problematic by state officials.
X, formerly known as Twitter, filed a <a href="https://storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.uscourts.caed.433955/gov.uscourts.caed.433955.1.0.pdf" target="_blank" rel="noopener">lawsuit</a> in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of California against the new law AB 587, which requires social media companies to publicly disclose moderation practices around categories the state could label as misinformation/disinformation, extremism/radicalization, and hate speech — otherwise the state could impose fines for non-compliance.
But with Musk’s pledge to restore a marketplace of ideas on his newly rebranded $44 billion social media company, X Corp. alleges California’s new law regulating certain forms of speech violates the First Amendment under the U.S. and California constitutions.
“Because X Corp. must take such positions on these topics as they are formulated by the State, X Corp. is being forced to adopt the State’s politically-charged terms, which is a form of compelled speech in and of itself,” the lawsuit alleges.
“AB 587 thus mandates X Corp. to speak about sensitive, controversial topics about which it does not wish to speak in the hopes of pressuring X Corp. to limit constitutionally-protected content on its platform that the state apparently finds objectionable or undesirable,” the suit says.
Lawmakers tout the content moderation practice as a mere “transparency measure” under which state officials require certain social media companies to make their content moderation policies and statistics publicly available.
Assemblymember Jesse Gabriel (D-Encino), who authored the bill, said in <a href="https://techcrunch.com/2023/09/08/twitter-x-elon-musk-california-moderation-transparency-law-as-unconstitutional-ab-587/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">response</a> to the lawsuit that AB 587 is “a pure transparency measure that simply requires companies to be upfront about if and how they are moderating content.”
“It in no way requires any specific content moderation policies,” he added. “If Twitter has nothing to hide, then they should have no objection to this bill.”
The lawsuit brought forward by X Corp. comes months after satire news website Babylon Bee <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/babylon-bee-ceo-tim-pool-file-lawsuit-against-california-attorney-general-over-new-social-media-law" target="_blank" rel="noopener">filed separate litigation</a> with podcaster Tim Pool and Minds, Inc. against California’s attorney general to keep state officials from enforcing the content moderation law.

The group argues the law was “written with the express intent to discourage expression” of constitutionally protected viewpoints and failed the vagueness doctrine of the Fourteenth Amendment, which requires criminal laws to state explicitly and definitely what conduct is punishable.
“If Big Tech is tasked by the state with eliminating hateful or misinformative content, they’ll stuff everything they don’t like into those categories, including opinions, jokes, and even factual statements,” Babylon Bee CEO Seth Dillon said. “We’ve already experienced it first hand.”
Upon signing the bill into law, which is set to take effect next year, California Democratic Governor Gavin Newsom said the state would “not stand by as social media is weaponized to spread hate and disinformation that threaten our communities and foundational values as a country.”
Dillon argued that lawmakers made the law too vague and called it a censorship bill.
“We need laws that prohibit viewpoint discrimination, not laws that compel it under threat of penalties (and under the guise of good-faith content moderation),” Dillon said.

When Pool pressed Girl to define &#8220;female,&#8221; the drag queen official said &#8220;female would be the end of this binary that society has created.&#8221;
DeMure replied that every &#8220;drag queen can tell you what a woman is if they are being honest.&#8221;
&#8220;A woman does not have a penis, because drag queens tuck their penises,&#8221; DeMure said. &#8220;I&#8217;ve never seen one drag queen in all of my years of pageants have a bulge.&#8221;
&#8220;A woman is a human that is born with a vagina and has the capability of reproducing and giving birth, whether they can do it or not,&#8221; DeMure continued. &#8220;They have the anatomy for it. To me, that&#8217;s what a woman is. And we all know it.&#8221;
The pair also disagreed about drag queen story hour at libraries, with DeMure calling them inappropriate and suggesting that kids would rather have their parents read to them.
But Girl said it wasn&#8217;t &#8220;inappropriate&#8221; for children, and defended drag community as not a &#8220;monolith.&#8221;
&#8220;I believe that there are appropriate interactions for particular situations,&#8221; Girl said. &#8220;And I agree we shouldn&#8217;t have kids at drag shows that are taking place at night clubs, which is not happening.&#8221;
Girl disputed claims that drag performers read sexually explicit books at the events, saying &#8220;99 percent of the time&#8221; the books drag queens read to kids are age-appropriate.
But Girl acknowledged that some performers have gone too far at drag queen story hours.
&#8220;And unfortunately, that reflects on the whole community,&#8221; Girl said.
DeMure said he&#8217;s part of a tiny minority of drag performers speaking out against exposing children to drag.
&#8220;If we were going to expose children to this, why is it going to be a drag queen with their legs spread open reading to kids about hey maybe you’re a girl, maybe you’re a boy?&#8221; he wondered. &#8220;It’s like there&#8217;s no PR or head of the LGBTQ ink that is managing these things.&#8221;

Pool was speaking with Lance from The Serfs, a popular democratic socialist YouTube channel. When the topic of abortion came up, Lance said he believed a woman should still have “the choice” and “ultimate authority over what happens to her body.”
“What about meth?” Pool asked Lance.
“Uh … like, should she be allowed to do meth?” Lance said. “Uh, I think if someone is doing meth while they’re pregnant, that it is completely acceptable for something like [child services] &#8230;”
“It’s her body, though,” Pool replied.
“Yeah, it’s her body,” Lance said.
“If she wants to do meth, what’s the big deal?” Pool asked.
“Uh, the big deal is that it’s – she’s intentionally trying to kill a child,” Lance said.

Pool also shared the clip, writing in the <a href="https://twitter.com/Timcast/status/1654448066815041538">retweet</a>, “I love my job.”
At another point in the conversation, Pool and Lance <a href="https://twitter.com/TPostMillennial/status/1654304796503941120">discussed</a> children who identify as transgender receiving “gender-affirming care,” which Pool described as a “genocide.”
“You want to know what I think?” Pool told Lance after the guest trotted out familiar Leftist talking points about there being more trans-identified youth now because those individuals are more accepted in society.
“I think there is a trans genocide,” Pool said. “And I think it’s you. Because you’re sterilizing a lot of these people. You’re literally sterilizing them – the surgery to remove the gonads, hysterectomies, and cross-sex hormones and puberty blockers have a high rate of sterilization.”
“These people can no longer reproduce. That’s genocide,” Pool said.
