Cross joined a panel discussion on &#8220;CNN NewsNight&#8221; with host Abby Phillip, and she argued that the Trump administration was using Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) — with the help of the Army National Guard — to &#8220;disappear&#8221; people the way the Nazi regime did in Germany.

&#8220;I think this is the challenge I have with even talking about this,&#8221; Cross said. &#8220;We are normalizing a government agency disappearing people. We’re normalizing — we’re talking about it like it’s no big deal that they are kidnapping people and transporting them to concentration camps, both domestic and foreign.&#8221;
New York Post Editor-at-Large Kelly Jane Torrance objected to the terminology, saying, &#8220;I think that’s kind of insulting to Jewish Holocaust survivors.&#8221;
&#8220;I think it’s insulting what they’re doing. It is not insulting to the Jewish Holocaust,&#8221; Cross protested. &#8220;I find it insulting that you could even fix your mouth to defend this disgusting behavior.&#8221;
&#8220;Are there gas ovens at these —?&#8221; Torrance attempted to get a straight answer out of Cross, to no avail.
&#8220;It doesn’t matter! It’s a concentration camp what they’re doing and they are disappearing people, claiming that these are people who have committed the most harsh crimes, but according to the reporting less than 10% of these people have committed harsh crimes so to do the victim Olympics and decide who had it worse I can tell you I can participate in that too,&#8221; Cross claimed.
&#8220;Let&#8217;s be accurate and honest,&#8221; Torrance challenged her.
&#8220;The fact that we&#8217;re presenting this like it&#8217;s political fodder that a government agency is disappearing people, it is not a political point, it is nothing to do with Jewish people,&#8221; Cross claimed — despite the fact that she&#8217;d been the one to draw the direct comparison when she invoked the concentration camps — and then blamed Torrance for trying to &#8220;make yourself of somebody else the center of attention.&#8221;
&#8220;Tensions are so heightened, using that kind of language is not helpful,” she said.
&#8220;Tensions are heightened because this BS administration is kidnapping people. It has nothing to do with my language. It has to do with the actions that are being taken by this administration,&#8221; Cross objected, refusing to let the point go.
Border czar <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/were-not-going-to-stop-homan-says-ice-will-keep-deporting-illegals-amid-ambush-attacks">Tom Homan</a> would disagree with Cross, however. He told Fox News anchor Martha MacCallum, during an appearance on &#8220;The Story,&#8221; that rhetoric like Cross&#8217; was what was driving violent ambush attacks against ICE agents — and he did not believe it was likely to stop.

Former MSNBC host Tiffany Cross quickly backpedaled when presented with the latest details about deported Salvadoran national Kilmar Abrego-Garcia, claiming that the real issue was not his individual case, but the larger picture.
Cross made the comments during a panel discussion on CNN, responding to Shermichael Singleton’s point regarding Abrego-Garcia and whether or not the federal government should have deported him to El Salvador.

Singleton laid out a series of reasons that he believed Abrego-Garcia’s deportation was not only justifiable, but a “national security issue,” noting among other things that Maryland gang units had determined that he was a member of the violent Salvadoran street gang MS-13. In addition, more recent reports showed a history of allegations of domestic violence against his wife.
Noting that due process was obviously a concern, Singleton added, “I think there’s absolutely enough here to send this guy somewhere else. One, he’s already broken the law. We’ve already established that. Now you do have evidence that suggests he was a member or is a member of MS-13, he’s also a serial abuser. This is not the type of individual I don’t think any one of us would want in our country: he should be deported.”
Despite the fact that many Democrats have seized on Abrego-Garcia’s case — including Sen. Chris Van Hollen (D-MD), who has tried unsuccessfully to persuade Salvadoran authorities to either release Abrego-Garcia from custody or at least allow him visitation — Cross jumped in then to claim that it was not really about him.
“We can’t make it about Kilmar,” she complained. “That’s just one person.”
“But that’s the case we’re talking about,” Singleton pushed back.
“It is,” Cross agreed, but then complained that the discussion should be about “the macro, not the micro.”
Cross went on to claim that President Donald Trump’s administration has been “indiscriminately” rounding people up for deportation.
“They are randomly deporting people without due process,” she claimed.

Host Abby Phillip stepped in, assisting Cross in pushing back on Jennings: &#8220;Scott, you have said you are pro taking Greenland.&#8221;
&#8220;I have never, ever said we&#8217;re going to go to Greenland and quote &#8216;colonize it&#8217; or &#8216;steal it,&#8217; that&#8217;s crazy!&#8221; Jennings shot back.
Cross held up a hand, waving Scott off and adding, &#8220;I&#8217;m not even talking about you, you&#8217;re not a member of government, so you&#8217;re irrelevant in that point, I&#8217;m talking about the President of the United States doing that.&#8221;
&#8220;Well, you were fired from your job, how relevant are you?&#8221; Jennings jabbed back, referencing Cross&#8217; <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/no-one-will-miss-her-megyn-kelly-political-commentators-react-to-msnbc-host-being-dropped" target="_blank" rel="noopener">ouster from MSNBC</a> after two years — during which she earned a reputation for racially charged commentary.

&#8220;What you lack in a legitimate point you make up for in personal — in personal insults,&#8221; Cross said, bulldozing over Jennings – who smiled and raised his gaze to the ceiling — and adding, &#8220;The point I was making is in this new world order, we are looking at countries, whether or not they are an adversary or an ally, it is being determined on what kind of deal we can get, and we cannot govern, we cannot legislate that way.&#8221;
&#8220;Why?&#8221; Jennings asked.
&#8220;We are increasingly isolated on the world stage,&#8221; Cross insisted, despite reports of dozens of countries already planning to negotiate better trade deals with the Trump administration.

Cross went on to say that although she believed Scarborough had worked behind her back to submarine her at MSNBC, it was a Tucker Carlson segment about her – accusing her of <a href="https://twitter.com/TPostMillennial/status/1582898927002599424" target="_blank" rel="noopener">stoking racial hatred</a> — that ultimately led to her firing.
&#8220;The network did not issue a statement the way they had for some of my white colleagues who had also been targeted by MAGA extremists. Instead, executives spoke to me and instructed me that I could not respond to Tucker Carlson at all, and then they began to scrutinize my show and every little thing I wrote,&#8221; she claimed.
&#8220;The network began attacking me. They planted hit pieces in the press. The president of the network began a bizarre, unhinged tour where she was on damage control; I don’t know what she was trying to do,&#8221; Cross claimed.

Variety was first to <a href="https://variety.com/2022/tv/news/msnbc-tiffany-cross-departure-tv-news-1235423317/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">report</a> the news, saying that the network had not yet named a replacement and would instead be using several guest hosts on rotation until someone was chosen to take over the slot permanently. Cross was reportedly informed of the network&#8217;s decision on Friday morning, and has not yet issued a statement.

During a discussion on Comedy Central&#8217;s &#8220;Hell of a Week with Charlamagne Tha God,&#8221; Cross gave her response to the prompt &#8220;One&#8217;s gotta go&#8221; — and her choices were Florida, Arizona, Georgia, and Pennsylvania.
&#8220;I say Florida literally looks like the d*** of the country, so let&#8217;s get rid of Florida,&#8221; she said, adding, &#8220;Let&#8217;s castrate Florida &#8230; Here&#8217;s the problem: Ron DeStupid, Ron DeSantis, whatever you want to call Florida man, he is so problematic.&#8221;
&#8220;The people there passed Amendment 4, which gave returning citizens, those that were formerly incarcerated the right to vote. He instituted a poll tax, he has done everything he can to keep black and brown people from the ballot, he traffics in stupidity and ignorance, and I just think they are a problem for the rest of the country,&#8221; she continued.
What Cross referred to as a &#8220;poll tax,&#8221; however, is <a href="https://www.aclu.org/news/voting-rights/amendment-4-is-back-in-court-as-florida-fights-our-victory-over-its-modern-day-poll-tax" target="_blank" rel="noopener">not a tax</a> at all — it is simply a requirement that felons must have paid any fees and restitution associated with the crime for which they were incarcerated before they regain the right to vote upon release.

MSNBC guest Elie Mystal, who also serves as justice correspondent at The Nation, said on Saturday that the hardest part of Supreme Court nominee Ketanji Brown Jackson&#8217;s hearings — for her — would likely be refraining from punching Republicans in the mouth.
Mystal joined host Tiffany Cross on &#8220;The Cross Connection,&#8221; where he argued that <a href="https://dailywire.com/news/watch-whoopi-claims-bidens-scotus-nominee-outshines-all-3-trump-nominees/">Jackson&#8217;s credentials</a> were impeccable and the only things any Republicans had against her were &#8220;racism and disgusting innuendo.&#8221;
As Mediaite <a href="https://www.mediaite.com/news/all-they-have-is-racism-elie-mystal-says-hardest-part-of-jackson-hearings-will-be-not-punching-one-of-these-fools-in-the-mouth/">reported</a>, Cross began the segment by asking Mystal what he expected to come out of the hearings, scheduled to start Monday — and she suggested that what Republicans were angling for was a &#8220;viral moment&#8221; that they could use to smear Judge Jackson in the court of public opinion.
&#8220;I’m curious, Elie, what do you anticipate to come out of these hearings? Because you know, they’re going to be vying for a viral moment on the Republican side,&#8221; Cross said. &#8220;And what would you say is the biggest challenge to Judge Jackson’s confirmation, if any, given that Democrats have the majority?&#8221;
&#8220;The biggest challenge is her not getting out of her chair and punching one of these fools in the mouth,&#8221; Mystal said of the Republicans who were likely to challenge her. &#8220;Like, that’s the hardest thing, because all they have for her right now is racism and disgusting innuendo. Like, they don’t have… They don’t have anything on her record.&#8221;
Mystal went on to note that Judge Jackson had been on the court for nine years, arguing that Republicans were not contesting her decisions in &#8220;hundreds and hundreds of cases&#8221; and were not making &#8220;substantive legal arguments about her actual decision-making process.&#8221;
&#8220;All they’ve got is the racism, they want to know about the LSAT scores. Some of them are going to call her an affirmative action nominee,&#8221; Mystal continued, referencing criticisms directed primarily at President Joe Biden for his outright statement that he was going to <a href="https://dailywire.com/news/progressives-demand-biden-pick-supreme-court-nominee-based-on-race-and-sex-select-first-black-female-justice/">choose a black woman</a>, to the exclusion of all other demographics. &#8220;Some of them are going to ask her why she’s not sad that good white people weren&#8217;t considered for the job. That’s literally what they have.&#8221;
Mystal then pivoted to address Senator Josh Hawley, who <a href="https://dailywire.com/news/hawley-biden-scotus-nominee-has-a-pattern-of-letting-child-porn-offenders-off-the-hook/">raised questions</a> earlier in the week about Jackson&#8217;s record in dealing with child pornography and sex offender cases.
&#8220;But like, that’s, the challenge will just be keeping her cool because if she keeps her cool, which I’m sure she will do,&#8221; Mystal concluded. &#8220;We’re talking about a high school debate champion and, you know, a person who has prepared her whole life for these four days. As long as she keeps her cool, she should do fine because she’s so eminently qualified and impeccably credentialed that they don’t really have anything on her.&#8221;

We’re not talking even about abortion, which we all know has been historically divisive in this country,&#8221; Rye replied. &#8220;We also know is that voting rights has been supported on a bipartisan level in both chambers of Congress since 1965, when a Democrat signed the bill into law.&#8221;
&#8220;So what I would tell Senator Sinema is to please reflect on your history. Not a wobbly voice, not an emotional plea for people to remove or to not remove the filibuster when you just could cross that hurdle. Right now, I’m talking about this year, they could cross that hurdle,&#8221; Rye continued.
Rye went on to say that it wasn&#8217;t really accurate to say that the current bills were &#8220;somehow a black Civil Rights bill&#8221; — rather, the bills in question were designed to make sure that the United States continue down the &#8220;road towards democracy.&#8221;
&#8220;I agree with Jesse Jackson Jr., who recently said we were moving towards democracy, and this is a way to ensure that we’re back on that right road,&#8221; she concluded.

Tiffany Cross elicited the comments while guest hosting “The ReidOut” on MSNBC. “We’ve seen countless warnings that democracy is in danger,” she said, warning that Republicans would replicate the successful strategy of campaigning against CRT.
“This is a prelude to the kiss-off of American democracy,” said Dyson. “The apocalypse is before us. We speak in these apocalyptic terms; people call us exaggerators. ‘Oh my God, why don’t you stop over-responding?’”
Complaints that the filibuster and the <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/how-the-virginia-governors-race-was-won">election of Republicans like Virginia Governor-elect Glenn Youngkin</a> pose existential threats to freedom are rejected by “people who are not used to being shat upon,” said Dyson, an ordained minister.
Cross also asked Dyson, a professor of African-American studies at Vanderbilt University, to explain the controversial, quasi-Marxist ideology of <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/what-is-critical-race-theory-breaking-down-the-ideology-thats-hitting-schools-across-the-country">Critical Race Theory</a> to her “non-melanated brothers and sisters” who oppose it.
“The truth is, they&#8217;re more <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=idx3GSL2KWs">down with O.P.P.</a> than they are with CRT. They don&#8217;t even know what it is. They can&#8217;t even define it. They can&#8217;t even speak about it — Other People&#8217;s Politics, in this case,” Dyson said.
His statement is a familiar one. HBO’s Bill Maher dismantled the same argument from Dyson last month, after Dyson attacked “parents who were spooked by Critical Race Theory, none of whom can define it; when you ask them what it is, they don’t know.” As The Daily Wire’s Hank Berrien <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/disingenuous-bill-maher-slams-leftist-prof-sneering-parents-spooked-by-critical-race-theory">reported</a>, Maher responded:
<blockquote>“I find that a disingenuous argument because I don’t think that is what people are objecting to,” Maher responded. “They are not objecting to black history being taught. There are other things going on in the schools.”
“Like what?” Dyson sneered.
“Like separating children by race and describing them as either oppressed or oppressor. I mean, there are children coming home who feel traumatized by this. That‘s what parents are objecting to,” Maher answered.</blockquote>
“Ain’t nobody teaching Critical Race Theory in kindergarten, or fifth grade or sixth grade,” Dyson claimed on Monday, arguing that “it is a law school theory.” But public schools are teaching young children “to be skeptical about the default position of whiteness in American education,” he said. White students “are hungry” for CRT, he claimed. CRT is resisted by “people who are not used to seeing black people be the indices, the index, the measure of who are as a nation,” Dyson said.

“We know that the integral part of an American educational system is to attack the intelligence of black kids,” Dyson asserted, adding that the racist structures of America mean black students face “getting kicked out of school at 4” years old and “being overpoliced by overzealous guardians of our safety.”
While Dyson has spent years accusing “<a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/michael-eric-dyson-vicious-police-america-hank-berrien">vicious police forces of America</a>” of having “victimized” the black community, a Gallup <a href="https://news.gallup.com/poll/316571/black-americans-police-retain-local-presence.aspx">poll</a> released at the height of the Black Lives Matter riots found that 81% of black Americans wanted policing to remain at <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/poll-4-out-of-5-black-americans-against-cutting-policing-of-their-communities">the same or higher levels</a> in their communities.
After a national grassroots backlash against CRT-themed public school curricula swept the country, CNN and MSNBC claimed the <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/7-lying-media-outlets-claiming-crt-isnt-being-taught-in-public-schools">public schools do not teach Critical Race Theory</a>. CNN took the unusual tactic of having a <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/crt-teacher-crt-isnt-taught-in-schools">woman who teaches CRT</a> in Philadelphia’s public schools tell its viewers, “Critical Race Theory is not being taught in schools.”
In reality, public school districts have filtered CRT principles of “privilege,” “oppression,” “whiteness,” and “institutional racism” into the curriculum for students and teachers alike. The Loudoun County Public School system <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/public-school-graphic-dubs-christians-as-privileged-women-children-as-oppressed">handed out a graphic</a> saying that Christians, white people, and people who speak English as their primary language are privileged, while non-Christians, immigrants, and gender non-conforming people experience “oppression” in American society. The Lower Manhattan Community Middle School announced in November it would <a href="https://nypost.com/2021/11/19/nyc-schools-separating-children-by-race-for-crt-classes/">separate seventh and eighth graders by race</a> for two days of instruction.
Columbia University linguistics professor John McWhorter <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/thats-not-right-cnn-guest-corrects-don-lemon-live-on-air-when-he-says-crt-isnt-taught-in-schools">called</a> denying that schools teach principles derived from CRT “a debate team stunt, not serious engagement with a dynamic and distressing reality.”

MSNBC host Tiffany Cross laid into Illinois teenager Kyle Rittenhouse, calling him a &#8220;little murderous white supremacist&#8221; during her Saturday show, &#8220;The Cross Connection.&#8221;
<a href="https://dailywire.com/news/sit-down-and-be-humble-msnbc-host-calls-megyn-kelly-racist-for-criticizing-meghan-markle-naomi-osaka/">Cross</a> devoted a good portion of the show to a lengthy conversation about <a href="https://dailywire.com/news/cnns-cuomo-kyle-rittenhouse-trial-verdict-was-justified-what-we-should-want-every-time/">Rittenhouse</a> — who shot three people during protests in Kenosha, Wisconsin, in August of 2020 and was acquitted Friday of all the charges against him.
Joining Cross in that conversation was The Nation&#8217;s legal correspondent Elie Mystal, who argued that Rittenhouse had only been <a href="https://dailywire.com/news/watch-kyle-rittenhouse-sobs-collapses-in-court-after-getting-acquitted-on-all-counts/">acquitted</a> because &#8220;the judge was in the tank from the defendant from the jump.&#8221;

&#8220;This is not a miscarriage of justice, this is justice working as intended for white people. And the way you know that is because of the judge. The reason why I was able to predict that was because of the judge. The judge was in the tank [for] the defendant from the jump. I mean literally before the trial, he was making motions and making rulings in favor of Rittenhouse,&#8221; Mystal continued, adding, &#8220;His actual decision-making favored the defendant the entire time&#8221;
<a href="https://dailywire.com/news/the-epitome-of-white-privilege-the-medias-worst-reactions-to-the-kyle-rittenhouse-trial/">Mystal</a> went on to argue that the justice system had been designed to be &#8220;permissive of white violence,&#8221; and that no progress would ever be made unless that bias was confronted and addressed. &#8220;Kyle Rittenhouse is just the latest beneficiary of that bias in the justice system,&#8221; he said.
&#8220;I’m just disgusted because I still don’t think that Rittenhouse understands that he is morally wrong if the justice system did not find him legally wrong,&#8221; Cross added, arguing that Rittenhouse needed to understand that the moral standard and the legal standard applied to his actions should not necessarily be the same.
Cross went on to note a short time later that several Republicans, including Florida Rep. Matt Gaetz and Arizona Rep. Paul Gosar, had suggested Rittenhouse might make a good Congressional intern.
&#8220;I find these people disgusting, Elie. I’m disgusted at what I’m seeing. It’s not just this trial, it’s other trials, but this in particular: The fact that white supremacists roam the halls of Congress freely and celebrate this little murderous white supremacist, and the fact that he gets to walk the streets freely, it lets you know these people have access to instituting laws, they represent the legislative branch of this country. What are we to make of that?&#8221; Cross asked.
&#8220;Welcome to the modern Republican Party. This is what these people want,&#8221; Mystal replied, claiming that white people showed their support for white violence by voting for Republicans. &#8220;And this is what a majority of white people vote for. When I say that majority of white people are in favor of this kind of violence, it is because a majority of white people consistently vote Republican. Since the passage of the Civil Rights Act, a majority of white people have voted Republican. So, like, this is the party that they are supporting.&#8221;
&#8220;A majority of white people pick judges like Bruce Schroeder, the judge in the Kyle Rittenhouse case. A majority of white people do not support policies that would unpack and unroll and reform this system of justice. This is what they want. Matt Gaetz is giving the white folks what they want,&#8221; Mystal continued. &#8220;Look at it. Look at yourselves. It’s gross. But until a majority of you stop voting for this, this will keep happening.&#8221;
&#8220;What these cases that we&#8217;re watching all have in common is white people deputizing themselves in some position of authority to have jurisdiction over their life when they need to mind their blanking business,&#8221; Cross agreed.

MSNBC Host ‘Disgusted’ By Kenosha Verdict, Calls Rittenhouse A ‘Little Murderous White Supremacist’

An MSNBC host proudly told former Fox News anchor Megyn Kelly to “be humble” and invoked the actions of high school cliques while telling Kelly to “let the grown women speak.”
Tiffany Cross dedicated a segment of “The Cross Connection” to assailing Kelly for criticizing tennis star Naomi Osaka.
Cross, whose show airs Saturdays on MSNBC, called Kelly a “50-year-old bully” who is “trying to bulldoze her way back into relevance” from “the land of the inconsequential.”
Cross went on to imply that Kelly’s criticism of women like Osaka, Meghan Markle, Nikole Hannah-Jones of the 1619 Project, and Olympic athlete <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/gwen-berry-blasted-for-anthem-protest-try-this-s-in-an-actually-oppressive-country">Gwen Berry</a> (who protested during the playing of the national anthem), was due to racism.
“It’s no coincidence that Snow White and the Seven Dumb Takes she’s had recently overwhelmingly target black women,” Cross said. “Kelly is really just trying to crawl her way back into social relevance and the hearts of Fox News viewers.”
Cross also critiqued Megyn Kelly for claiming that Santa Claus was a caucasian, and <a href="https://www.intellectualtakeout.org/shaun-king-and-the-white-jesus-that-undermines-racism-/">Jesus was white</a>. “To all you Karens watching at home, please make a list for your white Santa and pray to your white Jesus for a life, please,” Cross said.
Then Cross addressed Kelly directly:  “When it comes to us, Sister, stop punching above your weight,” Cross continued. “You keep asking for smoke that you don’t want. You want to act like a high school mean girl, and you’ll get treated that way.”
“Sit down and be humble,” she said. “Let the grown women speak,” she added.
Immediately after professing her maturity, Cross channeled the voice of sophomoric high school girls. “You’re not invited to this table. You don’t have the range,” she concluded.

The idea of Cross, the relatively new host of a low-rated weekend show, questioning the relevance of Kelly, who once hosted the <a href="https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/general-news/tv-ratings-megyn-kelly-bests-819516/">top-rated show on cable news</a>, seems ironic.
Kelly&#8217;s latest controversy began when Osaka <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/world-no-2-tennis-player-pulls-out-of-french-open-reveals-long-bouts-of-depression">bowed out</a> of the French Open and a press conference, saying she suffered from “social anxiety” and “long bouts of depression.” But shortly afterward, the 23-year-old tennis champion appeared on the covers of numerous magazines.

Osaka then blocked Kelly.

On Saturday, MSNBC host Tiffany Cross attacked HBO host Bill Maher after Maher criticized woke leftists.
As <a href="https://www.newsbusters.org/blogs/nb/kyle-drennen/2021/06/28/bill-maher-calls-out-radical-woke-leftists-and-msnbc-cant-handle">NewsBusters</a> reported, Cross not only attacked Maher, saying he was “standing on [his] alabaster perch to crap on other people’s lived experience while providing a safe haven for well-established white supremacists,” she vilified former Fox News host and current podcast host Megyn Kelly, calling her a “blackface expert.”
Cross began, “Okay, Bill Maher has been whack for a long time. From his make-out session with the black face expert, Megyn Kelly, to his infamous use of the ‘N’ word on his show, for which he later apologized, and his continual mostly white weekly panels where he sings sob songs to them about the perils of the shrinking demographic and chides anyone who falls even slightly outside of his myopic, privileged view.”
“Maybe he even said something highly offensive again last night, I don’t know,” Cross continued. “I stopped suffering through that stale, clumsy monologue and painfully out of touch show a long time ago. But I did see the clipped segment of him complaining about Lin Manuel Miranda apologizing for the lack of Afro-Latino representation in his movie, ‘In the Heights.’”
Cross played a clip of Maher saying. “You’re the guy who made the Founding Fathers black and Hispanic. I don’t think you have to apologize to Twitter. I mean, he’s a Latino making a Latino movie with a Latino cast. Not good enough. Nothing is ever good enough for these people, they’re like children.”
“Okay, so I don’t know if the applause from the audience was sincere or if they were responding to the applause sign in the studio, but either way, how disappointing,” Cross theorized. “But let’s just address a few things. One, I thought it was not only gracious, but appropriate for Lin-Manuel Miranda to acknowledge that perhaps unintentional colorism in his amazing film and then apologize for it. Two, anybody find it interesting that this quote/unquote ‘liberal ally’ is sounding a lot like a moderate Fox News contributor? This is why ‘allies’ get the side eye sometimes. And, three, Bill Maher, you do not get to tell people of color what they should or should not be offended by. Stay in your lane, slim.”
“Maybe instead of trying to invoke sympathy for Sharon Osborne or making sure Tomi Lahren has a space to espouse her BS, you should have more diverse panels of people who can explain colorism to you and systemic racism and how these things still devastate people’s lives and livelihoods today,” she pontificated. “Try that instead of standing on your alabaster perch every week to crap on other people’s lived experience while providing a safe haven for well-established white supremacists.”
“Because I gotta tell you, this old angry white man act is so played,” she snapped. “I think you’re mistaking what’s happening now as a revolution, the favoring of a new system. And look, perhaps you disagree with that. But this is yet another of your perspectives that’s embarrassingly ignoring what’s happening all around you that you’re refusing to see.”
She concluded, “The truth is, what’s happening now is an evolution and you are fighting for your power and privilege to not become fossilized, while basking in the rays of your own nonexistent cleverness and comedy bits circa three decades ago. And quite frankly, it’s just offensive at this point. The country, like it or not, is changing in real time. And sadly, ‘Fake Time With Bill Maher’ is not. MSNBC&#8217;s Tiffany Cross, the host of &#8220;The Cross Connection,&#8221; on Saturday dedicated an entire segment on her show to a &#8220;rebuttal&#8221; to Sen. Tim Scott&#8217;s (R-SC) speech earlier this week. According to Cross, Scott is &#8220;thirsty for white approval.&#8221;
&#8220;Let&#8217;s be clear: Tim Scott does not represent any constituency other than the small number of sleepy, slow-witted sufferers of Stockholm Syndrome who get elevated to prominence for repeating a false narrative about this country that makes conservative white people feel comfortable,&#8221; Cross claimed.
According to the MSNBC host, Scott had &#8220;many contradictions&#8221; in his rebuttal speech that she &#8220;could go into great detail refuting each of his asinine points.&#8221; The reason she&#8217;s not debunking each of Scott&#8217;s claims is that &#8220;he did that for&#8221; her, she claimed.
Cross equated Scott to a slave that “Harriet Tubman left behind.”
Even though the senator has been a leading force on police reform bills and anti-lynching legislation, Cross said “there are two sides to every token.”
“So thirsty for white approval, this dude actually stood on the national stage to defend the voter suppression law in Georgia even though as of last month, 361 bills were being introduced in 47 states to keep people who look like him out of the ballot box,” the MSNBC host stated. “The ability to shame the ancestors and appease the oppressors all in one speech, that’s extreme, though not like the domestic violent extremism that the Department of Homeland Security is investigating within his own ranks, mind you. But please, senator, say more about how unracist the country is while you trot out that tired line about going from ‘cotton to Congress’ to clown.”
Cross, who is a descendent of slaves and &#8220;a damn near daily survivor of institutional racism,&#8221; concluded in the segment, adding that she still loved the United States, &#8220;not for what it was, but for what it could be.&#8221;
“On this one, you’re not only on the wrong side of the aisle, Senator Scott, but you’re embarrassingly on the wrong side of history, as well,&#8221; Cross stated.

Instead of respecting Sen. Scott&#8217;s opinions, views, and experiences, the Left is quick to cancel him because he bucks their narrative. At what point do they realize what the senator is saying is his own take on the racial divide in our nation? While it may be hard for Democrats to fathom, there are a number of Americans out there who will respect someone&#8217;s history and point of view, even if they don&#8217;t agree with it or come to the same conclusion themselves.
If the Left was serious about refuting Scott&#8217;s points, they would talk substance and not resort to calling him &#8220;Uncle Tim&#8221; or &#8220;token.&#8221; As the South Carolina senator <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/sen-tim-scott-blasts-leftists-for-literally-attacking-the-color-of-my-skin-after-speech">previously said</a>, the Left won&#8217;t &#8220;attack my policies, but they are literally attacking the color of my skin. You cannot step out of your lane according to the liberal elite Left.&#8221;
