In a Republic, lasting progress depends on the art of persuasion. To shape policy, politicians and activists must first convince the public that their ideas work. Yet with increasingly radical tactics — from <a href="https://www.wired.com/story/monkeywrenching-vandals-are-reinventing-climate-activism/?utm_source=chatgpt.com">vandalizing infrastructure</a> to <a href="https://www.nytimes.com/2023/05/02/arts/design/vandalizing-art-protests.html">defacing priceless works of art</a> — and open dismissal of the affordability challenges many Americans face, it’s little wonder the environmental movement has struggled to win hearts and minds.
Faced with soaring energy costs, a <a href="https://www.aei.org/articles/the-clean-energy-transitions-voter-problem/">2024 YouGov poll</a> found that 73% of voters ranked the price and availability of energy as their top concern. Rather than confronting this reality, radical environmental activists have abandoned persuasion in favor of reckless, unfounded lawsuits against American energy companies, actions that threaten not only our energy security but the very principles of fairness and accountability that our democracy depends on.
The trend is best illustrated by Greenpeace International’s so-called “<a href="https://www.reuters.com/business/energy/greenpeace-files-suit-against-us-pipeline-company-energy-transfer-2025-02-11/">anti-SLAPP</a>” lawsuit against Energy Transfer, a U.S. pipeline company. Greenpeace filed the case in the Netherlands, even though Energy Transfer has no presence or infrastructure in the European Union, claiming the company tried to silence it through costly litigation in North Dakota. Earlier this year, a North Dakota jury found Greenpeace liable for defamation, property damage, and civil conspiracy over its actions during the 2016 and 2017 Dakota Access Pipeline protests. The jury even ordered Greenpeace to pay roughly <a href="https://www.cbsnews.com/news/greenpeace-energy-transfer-lawsuit-verdict/">$660 million </a>in damages. Instead of accepting that verdict, Greenpeace is now taking the fight overseas in an apparent attempt to escape responsibility — an act of desperation mirrored by recent high-profile <a href="https://subscriber.politicopro.com/article/eenews/2025/10/16/greenpeaces-top-legal-staffers-exit-00611338">resignations</a> from its own legal team. 
Greenpeace is not alone. In September 2024, California’s attorney general and several environmental groups <a href="https://www.nytimes.com/2025/09/01/climate/exxon-california-plastics-defamation-lawsuit.html">sued</a> ExxonMobil, accusing the company of contributing to environmental damage from single-use plastics. Yet ExxonMobil doesn’t manufacture single-use plastics and has <a href="https://corporate.exxonmobil.com/sustainability-and-reports/sustainability/meeting-societys-critical-needs-energy-products/expanding-the-plastics-life-cycle#Ourapproach">invested</a> heavily in recycling innovations to expand the kinds of plastics that can be reused. “Instead of suing us,” an Exxon representative <a href="https://www.cbsnews.com/news/california-plastics-lawsuit-exxon/">said</a>, “they could have worked with us to fix the problem and keep plastic out of landfills. To date, we’ve processed more than 60 million pounds of plastic waste into usable raw materials.” Ignoring such cooperation and the vital role plastics play in healthcare and food safety, activists continue to favor publicity over practical solutions. 
These lawsuits come at a pivotal moment for America’s energy future. The AI revolution promises to drive economic growth and create new opportunities, but data centers powering that revolution demand historic levels of energy. The United States has the resources to meet this challenge, but if energy producers are buried in costly, politically motivated litigation, our ability to keep energy affordable and reliable will be at risk.
For all the rhetoric from environmental activists, it is American energy producers who have delivered the environmental progress that actually improved people’s lives. Affordable and reliable energy helped drive an almost 80% reduction in common air pollutants since the 1970s and made the United States the world leader in access to clean and safe drinking water. When the Safe Drinking Water Act was first implemented, more than one-third of public water systems failed to meet federal standards, as documented in the <a href="https://www.epa.gov/sites/default/files/2015-04/documents/epa816f04030.pdf">EPA’s historical overview of the Safe Drinking Water Act.</a> Early federal surveys summarized by the <a href="https://crsreports.congress.gov/product/pdf/RL/RL31243">Congressional Research Service</a> show that roughly 60% of systems were out of compliance in the 1970s. Today, more than 90% of water systems meet EPA’s strictest health-based requirements, according to the agency’s <a href="https://crsreports.congress.gov/product/pdf/RL/RL31243">National Public Water Systems Compliance Report</a> and reviews by the <a href="https://crsreports.congress.gov/product/pdf/RL/RL31243">National Academies of Sciences</a>. These gains occurred while American oil and gas production set records. The lesson is simple: prosperity powered by abundant energy produces cleaner air and cleaner water, not political mandates or litigation campaigns.
These hard-won gains are exactly why the current wave of activist lawsuits is so destructive. Instead of building on America’s energy strengths, groups like Greenpeace are working to undermine the very industry that made this environmental progress possible.
When an organization found liable by a jury for defamation and property damage turns around and cries “SLAPP,” it risks undermining the very legal protections meant to safeguard legitimate free speech and activism. If every losing activist can hide behind these claims, true environmental advocacy becomes collateral damage.
Real progress will continue to come from harnessing America’s ingenuity to responsibly produce energy, without sacrificing prosperity, stability, or the rule of law. The path forward isn’t reckless litigation. It’s common sense and energy abundance.

Dutch activists who signed on to the so-called Global Sumud Flotilla — a Gaza “aid” mission that managed to launch with little more than a symbolic stash of supplies — are now <a href="https://www.jns.org/flotilla-activists-refuse-dutch-repatriation-bill-say-they-shouldnt-have-to-pay-amid-gaza-genocide">fuming</a> that their own government dared to charge them for the trip home after Israel detained and deported them.
The activists, who framed their effort as resistance against “genocide,” insist they “risk[ed] their lives,” were “kidnapped,” and therefore shouldn’t have to pay for the flights arranged by their own embassy.
The Dutch Foreign Ministry says it made a “rare exception” in booking their tickets and made clear from the start that, like every other citizen who receives consular assistance, they’d have to reimburse the costs. One activist, Roos Ykema, was billed €526 (approximately $610) for a flight routed through Madrid, which she says she won’t pay because she was “forcibly deported” by Israel. Invoices show that several activists told Dutch officials they wanted to go home “as soon as possible.”
They weren’t alone. Nineteen Swiss participants have also refused to pay, appealing bills ranging from 300 to 1,047 Swiss francs ($375-$1300) for prison visits, interventions with Israeli authorities, and travel home.

Meanwhile, the flotilla itself — marketed as a brave civilian push to “break the siege” on Gaza — collapsed under the weight of its own contradictions. Israeli naval forces intercepted 50 boats in early October, many owned or financed by what Israeli officials <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/ships-in-greta-thunbergs-flotilla-secretly-owned-by-hamas-israel-says?utm_source=chatgpt.com">say</a> is a Hamas front company. Documents recovered in Gaza tie senior flotilla organizers directly to the Popular Conference for Palestinians Abroad, a group Israel designated a terrorist organization in 2021 for acting as Hamas’s de facto foreign operations arm.
Among those organizers: figures overseeing Hamas-linked sectors in Europe, including a UK-based operator responsible for recruiting flotilla crews and a Spain-based executive running Cyber Neptune, the company controlling dozens of boats in Greta Thunberg’s flotilla, Israel’s foreign ministry stated bluntly: “These ships are secretly owned by Hamas.”
Despite the flotilla carrying less aid than a single truck — while more than 1,200 trucks a week have entered Gaza through approved crossings — activists rejected proposals from Italy and Israel to deliver their cargo safely. Israel said the refusal revealed the flotilla’s real purpose: not relief, but provocation.
Thunberg herself was intercepted in June, filmed reacting for cameras, and was later accused of <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/what-a-mythomaniac-greta-thunberg-fakes-being-handcuffed-after-being-deported-from-israel?utm_source=chatgpt.com">mimicking being handcuffed </a>— a pattern critics note mirrors earlier staged detentions. The IDF described the voyage as a “selfie flotilla,” noting that passengers were given water and sandwiches before being returned home.
Israel’s stance remains unchanged: the naval blockade is legal, and attempts to breach it — especially aboard Hamas-owned boats — will be stopped.

The Dutch government collapsed on Tuesday after the Party for Freedom led by Geert Wilders pulled out of the coalition over the government’s asylum policy.
Wilders had been adamant leading up to the collapse that without strict restrictions on immigration, his party would leave the coalition government. Wilders made good on those threats Tuesday.
“We had no choice. I promised the voters the strictest asylum policy ever, but that was not granted to you,” said Wilders, according to <a href="https://www.wsj.com/world/europe/far-right-geert-wilders-torpedoes-dutch-coalition-over-immigration-92e2d0d0">The Wall Street Journal</a>.
The Netherlands’ prime minister, Dick Schoof, said Tuesday following the Party for Freedom’s exit that he would hand his resignation to the king. Schoof’s government toppled less than a year after taking office.
The prime minister said that he and the other ministers, minus those with the Party for Freedom, would stay on as a caretaker government until new elections can be held, according to <a href="https://www.politico.eu/article/geert-wilders-dutch-government-collapse/">Politico</a>.
The Party for Freedom is the largest party currently in the Dutch parliament and is the most popular party overall, though its lead in popularity is slim. Public support for Wilders’ party <a href="https://www.politico.eu/europe-poll-of-polls/netherlands/">sits</a> at 20%, down from a high of 33% last year. The Labour-Green Left party is close behind with 19% support. The People&#8217;s Party for Freedom and Democracy follows in third with 18%.
Wilders has agitated over the government&#8217;s approach to asylum, demanding a hard stance on immigration outlined in a 10-point plan he released early last week. The plan <a href="https://apnews.com/article/netherlands-wilders-asylum-seekers-government-980e3d47fa57ed490ae71609b4afd642">called</a> for a temporary pause on new asylees until the backlog can be worked through, and a return of Syrian nationals to their country now that the civil war is over.

Wilders also pushed for a “one strike you’re out” policy to deport any migrants convicted of violent or sexual crimes.
Wilders has focused in particular on Islamic immigration into the Netherlands and Europe at large. In the past, he has warned of “an Islamic invasion” of Europe and called for the “de-Islamization” of the Netherlands.
Schoof called Wilders’ exit from the government “unnecessary and irresponsible.”
“If one party lacks the will to continue [to carry out the government program], you cannot move forward with each other,” he added.
Speaking to reporters on Tuesday, Wilders said he “signed up to the strictest asylum policy, not the downfall of The Netherlands.”

Netherlands’ Wilders Blasts Erdogan For Threat To Invade Israel: Kick Turkey Out Of NATO

By now, the world has heard the news. A municipal mayor in Brussels attempted to <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/brussels-police-try-to-shut-down-conference-featuring-orban-farage-other-leading-european-conservatives" target="_blank" rel="noopener">shut down</a> a peaceful gathering of conservative leaders simply because he disagreed with their message.
The resultant outcry was enormous — the very essence of free speech was at stake — culminating in a rapidly <a href="https://urldefense.com/v3/__https://adfinternational.org/free-speech-prevails-for-nat-con__;!!PxibshUo2Yr_Ta5B!3e4hdrEyPrjSHR-Ny5IdDKSUOAzVbsFf8AQLtUj4NZNA0XwbYhe-5Frtk0Fcg7v09huGJ1hewD_pUvi8-BjlFaw$" target="_blank" rel="noopener">executed emergency court order</a> allowing the conference to resume, but not before the police had stepped in, relegating the first day of the event to abject chaos.
I was honored to lead the legal challenge against this authoritarian overstep, and in so doing, play a key part in this watershed moment for fundamental freedoms. 
It was business as usual as I prepared to attend the National Conservatism Conference in Brussels from April 16-17. Known as “NatCon,” the event presented nothing out of the ordinary in a city that regularly ebbs and flows with gatherings across the political spectrum. As the center of the European Union, discussion, dialogue, and even peaceable demonstrations across the ideological spectrum are core to the Brussels ethos.

But cancel culture was quick to bare its teeth. The event, a mainstream gathering of conservatives representing diverse views, had <a href="https://www.nytimes.com/2024/04/16/world/europe/brussels-conversative-conference-emir-kir.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">already been canceled</a> by two venues, before securing a third near Brussels’ European Quarter. It was at this point that the mayor of this district decided to step in, issuing an egregiously discriminatory order to shutter the conference due to a supposed threat to “public peace.”
The order made two facts indisputably clear: 1) There was no evidence whatsoever of a threat of violence. And 2) It was nothing more than the vision behind National Conservatism that motivated the shutdown. In essence, from the mayor’s perspective: I don’t like these people. I shall not allow them to meet.
As stated in the mayor’s order: 
<blockquote>That this vision is not only ethically conservative (e.g. hostility to the legalization of abortion, same-sex unions, etc.) but also focused on the defense of ‘national sovereignty,’ which implies, among other things, a ‘Eurosceptic’ attitude.</blockquote>
To be clear, pro-life views are not a crime. Neither is, of course, the “defense of national sovereignty.” This was a dictatorial and discriminatory abuse of power, pure and simple. And when I arrived at the conference on the morning of April 16, the effects of this abuse were evident. <a href="https://urldefense.com/v3/__https://twitter.com/Paul_B_Coleman/status/1780242908156662188/photo/1__;!!PxibshUo2Yr_Ta5B!3e4hdrEyPrjSHR-Ny5IdDKSUOAzVbsFf8AQLtUj4NZNA0XwbYhe-5Frtk0Fcg7v09huGJ1hewD_pUvi8PBGYQFk$" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Pictures</a> of a line of police in riot gear flooded X — the world was on notice that something insidious was afoot in Brussels.
Police surrounded the door, preventing participants from entering. It was only my direct line with the organizers that got me in. Never mind that expected to attend were multiple high-level participants including former U.K. Home Secretary Suella Braverman, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban, and Cardinal Müller from Germany. The diplomatic ramifications of this fiasco cannot be overstated, prompting reactions from both the U.K. and Belgian Prime Ministers, and massive international outcry.

The freedoms of speech and assembly are essential for the functioning of any democratic society. In fact, without them, there cannot be said to be democracy. And yet, here we were, confronted by a line of police for exercising our right to peacefully gather and discuss the issues of our day. This kind of authoritarianism has no place in contemporary Europe — a disgrace to our continent and the values the EU espouses.
As a lawyer for ADF International, an organization dedicated to the promotion of fundamental freedoms, I found myself in the right place at the right time to rise to the defense of basic human rights.
We lead the charge alongside the NatCon organizers in mounting a legal challenge, which was decided in our favor by the Conseil d’État, Belgium’s highest administrative court, at 2:30 a.m.on April 17. The fact that the court had convened and decided overnight was a testament to the outrageous nature of what had transpired. The judgment was clear — the conference would be <a href="https://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-68826578">allowed to continue</a> into its second day without police interference.
Fueled by espresso and croissants, day two of the conference proceeded with a markedly electric energy. Conference attendees previously barred from entry took on the talks and conversations with a newfound gusto, having just come face to face with the frightening reality of what it means to be a “conservative” in Europe.
While among us at the conference there would surely be disagreement and differences of opinion on a great many issues, we found ourselves enjoying a unique moment of solidarity — united in our shared commitment to protecting our basic human right to speak freely.
What happened this week depicts the state of free speech in Europe in a very poor light. This is the sad reality of European censorship. However, we remain optimistic that it also will serve as an important wake-up call, reminding us of the crucial importance of diligently defending our fundamental freedoms under the law, lest they slip away from us as they have done before in the darker moments of our continent’s history.

On Saturday, climate activist Greta Thunberg was detained twice by police in the Netherlands for joining other activists who were intending to block The Hague&#8217;s A12 highway, five years after she warned the European Parliament regarding climate change, “I want you to panic.”
After being detained by police, Thunberg was released, joined activists blocking a different road that led to the railway station, then was detained again and transported in a police van, Reuters <a href="https://www.reuters.com/world/europe/climate-activist-greta-thunberg-detained-demonstration-hague-2024-04-06/" data-saferedirecturl="https://www.google.com/url?q=https://www.reuters.com/world/europe/climate-activist-greta-thunberg-detained-demonstration-hague-2024-04-06/&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1712672342744000&amp;usg=AOvVaw2KmZvVhQPT8GpmB3KVeKFf">reported</a>. She was released several hours later.
“We are in a planetary emergency and we are not going to stand by and let people lose their lives and livelihood and be forced to become climate refugees when we can do something,” Thunberg stated.
“It&#8217;s important to demonstrate today because we are living in a state of planetary emergency,&#8221; Thunberg told AFP news agency, according to the <a href="https://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-68749936" data-saferedirecturl="https://www.google.com/url?q=https://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-68749936&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1712672342744000&amp;usg=AOvVaw1v7hlCdq9YFc1dmV_ncPfx">BBC</a>. &#8220;We must do everything to avoid that crisis and to save human lives.&#8221;
&#8220;While we can&#8217;t comment on individual cases, we can confirm that all of the people who were picked up by police and put on to minibuses were officially arrested, because they were blocking the highway and that is against the law,” The Hague’s local police declared.
Roughly five years ago, on April 16, 2019, Thunberg, then 16, <a href="https://awpc.cattcenter.iastate.edu/2019/12/02/speech-at-the-european-parliament-april-16-2019/">told</a> the European Parliament, “I want you to act as if the house is on fire. I have said those words before, and a lot of people have explained why that is a bad idea. A great number of politicians have told me that panic never leads to anything good, and I agree. To panic, unless you have to, is a terrible idea. But when your house is on fire and you want to keep your house from burning to the ground, then that does require some level of panic …”

She concluded, “It’s okay if you refuse to listen to me; I am, after all, just a 16-year-old schoolgirl from Sweden. But you cannot ignore the scientists or the science or the millions of school-striking children who are school-striking for the right to a future. I beg you: please do not fail on this.”

About a year ago, I <a href="https://x.com/MattWalshBlog/status/1661477689767919617?s=20" target="_blank" rel="noopener">covered</a> the very sudden rise of euthanasia in Canada. As of 2022, the most recent year we have <a href="https://www.canada.ca/en/health-canada/services/publications/health-system-services/annual-report-medical-assistance-dying-2022.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">data</a> available, euthanasia is now the fifth-leading cause of death in Canada, accounting for one out of every 25 fatalities. That&#8217;s ahead of common conditions like liver disease, influenza, diabetes, and Alzheimer&#8217;s.
The number of so-called &#8220;assisted deaths&#8221; rose by more than 30% year-over-year, although precise metrics are getting hard to track. That&#8217;s because, going forward, Canada <a href="https://x.com/StatCan_eng/status/1729539259076334034?s=20" target="_blank" rel="noopener">says</a> euthanasia deaths won&#8217;t be recorded as deaths caused by euthanasia. Instead, whatever reason the patient provides for seeking euthanasia will be recorded as the cause of death. So if you have a doctor kill you because you have arthritis, in Canada, that&#8217;s now classified as a death due to arthritis.
This coverup, like everything that has ever been attempted by the Canadian government, has failed miserably. Euthanasia is such an obviously booming industry that funeral homes have started <a href="https://www.city-journal.org/article/canadian-death-cult#:~:text=In%202022%2C%204.1%20percent%20of,Parliament%20first%20introduced%20MAID%20legislation." target="_blank" rel="noopener">offering</a> so-called &#8220;turn-key&#8221; <a href="https://plus.lapresse.ca/screens/f514affe-77c3-4052-ba88-e327c9ec6dc5%7C_0.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">bundles</a>, in which people can kill themselves and then have a burial, all for one low price. There&#8217;s no need to have a terminal illness, either. Some Canadians are killing themselves because they <a href="https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-12248669/Euthanasia-tightens-grip-West-Shocking-rise-doctor-assisted-suicides.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">say</a> it&#8217;s easier than getting disability benefits. The Canadian state-owned media loves this, of course. They <a href="https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/manitoba/medically-assisted-death-could-save-millions-1.3947481" target="_blank" rel="noopener">claim</a> that euthanasia can save &#8220;millions&#8221; in health care costs.
This isn&#8217;t just happening in Canada. All over the western world, euthanasia is now more common than it&#8217;s ever been. The number of British citizens who signed up for &#8220;Dignitas,&#8221; a Swiss nonprofit that <a href="https://www.bbc.com/news/uk-47158287" target="_blank" rel="noopener">performs</a> euthanasia, increased by nearly 25% in 2023. In Switzerland, assisted deaths <a href="https://www.swissinfo.ch/eng/life-aging/swiss-assisted-suicides-rose-11-in-2023/49198616" target="_blank" rel="noopener">jumped</a> by 11% last year. Meanwhile in Belgium, assisted suicide <a href="https://www.vrt.be/vrtnws/en/2024/02/27/euthanasia-cases-increase-by-15-per-cent-in-belgium-in-2023/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">increased</a> by more than 15%. Overall in Europe and Canada, euthanasia rates have increased by a quarter in just about 12 months.

Over in South Australia, &#8220;medical assistance in dying&#8221; was <a href="https://www.gogentleaustralia.org.au/south_australia_marks_one_year_of_voluntary_assisted_dying#:~:text=%E2%80%9CWe%20know%20from%20other%20states,died%2C%20110%20from%20VAD%20administration." target="_blank" rel="noopener">legalized</a> a year ago, and the numbers of death permits they&#8217;re issuing are <a href="https://www.gogentleaustralia.org.au/latest_figures_from_south_australia_show_steady_increase_in_vad_permits" target="_blank" rel="noopener">increasing</a> at a rate of around 20% per quarter. And those numbers are going to continue to rise, in part because the public broadcaster in Australia is running segments like this promoting euthanasia. Watch:

Make a difference in someone&#8217;s life today, by killing them. Give them a little something &#8220;extra.&#8221; That&#8217;s the pitch in Australia, and it&#8217;s working.
As you&#8217;d expect, as euthanasia becomes more and more common all over the world, we&#8217;re hearing more disturbing stories.
For example, there was the Canadian woman who was <a href="https://globalnews.ca/news/10118619/bc-cancer-agency-wait-times-surgery-united-states/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">diagnosed</a> with cancer, only to be told by her doctors that she should consider euthanasia. She refused and fled to the United States, where she paid hundreds of thousands of dollars to receive treatment. Those are the kind of stories that make you realize there are a lot of very sick people in countries like Canada who don&#8217;t have a lot of money lying around. And they&#8217;re probably killing themselves. 
It&#8217;s hard to imagine this trend getting any more bleak but somehow, it does.
There&#8217;s an incredible new <a href="https://www.thefp.com/p/im-28-and-im-scheduled-to-die?r=8ivfe&amp;utm_campaign=post&amp;utm_medium=web&amp;triedRedirect=true">story</a> in the Free Press about a 28-year-old woman in The Netherlands named Zoraya ter Beek. She plans to have a medical professional kill her sometime in May. That&#8217;s not because she has any kind of terminal illness. Instead, she&#8217;s been diagnosed with depression, autism, and borderline personality disorder. And on that basis, even though she lives in a nice house, with her boyfriend and her cats, she wants to die.
This woman appears to mean what she&#8217;s saying. She&#8217;s been highly visible in the Dutch press for many years, going as far back as 2017. And every time she&#8217;s appeared since then, she&#8217;s been promoting the idea of euthanasia or dying in some way. 
For example, in 2017, a Dutch website profiled Zoraya, <a href="https://www.rtlnieuws.nl/editienl/laatste-videos-editienl/video/50121/zoraya-22-draagt-niet-reanimerenpenning-respecteer" target="_blank" rel="noopener">writing</a>: 
<blockquote>Zoraya is 22 and does not want to be resuscitated if something happens to her. And of course she gets comments about that. More and more people are deciding to wear a do-not-resuscitate badge.</blockquote>
That same year, another Dutch outlet wrote an <a href="https://www.pzc.nl/bizar/zonder-juiste-medicijnen-wil-zoraya-22-uit-oldenzaal-niet-verder-leven~a6575e9e/?referrer=https%3A%2F%2Ft.co%2F" target="_blank" rel="noopener">article</a> about how Zoraya was planning her funeral.
Additionally, Zoraya has provided the Free Press with a photograph of the coffin she plans to use, including a picture of herself in the coffin. She also posted extensively about her plans on social media.
Confronted with all of this, Zoraya&#8217;s psychiatrists didn&#8217;t suggest any alternative. Instead, they told her she was doomed: 
<blockquote>[Zoraya] recalled her psychiatrist telling her that they had tried everything, that &#8216;there’s nothing more we can do for you. It’s never gonna get any better.&#8217;</blockquote>
It&#8217;s hard to sum up the agenda of the pharmaceutical companies and the medical industry any better than that one line. &#8220;There&#8217;s nothing more we can do for you. It&#8217;s never gonna get any better.&#8221; I&#8217;m sure that&#8217;s a paraphrase, but it&#8217;s horrifying. This is a woman who&#8217;s not even 30-years-old and who has no physical issues whatsoever. Every single problem she has is in her head — and very vaguely defined. 
A term like “borderline personality disorder” is one we’re accustomed to hearing — and that many people have been diagnosed with — but very rarely does anyone stop to ask any fundamental questions about it. Questions like: How exactly can you diagnose a “personality” as “disordered.” What is a properly ordered personality? What personality is this woman supposed to have? Well, never mind. Whatever these disorders are, her doctors have prescribed suicide to cure them.
Because this is what happens now if the antidepressant drugs don’t work. Now they have another drug to permanently &#8220;fix&#8221; the problem. And conveniently, the same companies selling the antidepressants are also making the drugs that help kill people who realize the antidepressants don&#8217;t work too well. A company called Valeant Pharmaceuticals, now known as Bausch Health, made the <a href="https://www.washingtonpost.com/magazine/2019/12/11/my-terminally-ill-mother-wanted-end-her-own-life-what-would-it-take-fulfill-her-last-wish/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">most commonly</a> used drug in physician-assisted suicides, called Seconal. As it happens, that same company also makes Wellbutrin, the 18th-most prescribed medicine in the United States, with millions of prescriptions. When it came out, it was billed as a second-line, heavy-hitting antidepressant that&#8217;s supposed to work where first-line SSRIs fail. But in the event the second-line antidepressant fails, now we know what the third line is. They&#8217;ll just kill you.

That should disturb most people. But it doesn&#8217;t — at least, not everywhere. One of the most revealing aspects of this Free Press article has been the reaction to it. In The Netherlands, there was outrage — not at the medical industry, but at the Free Press for covering the story. Zoraya shut down her social media accounts, claiming the Free Press article misrepresented her, without explaining how. A lot of her supporters in The Netherlands were also furious with the piece, saying it was a distorted view of what they call &#8220;medical assistance in dying.&#8221;
But in America, the reaction was different. Instead of writing puff pieces about Zoraya&#8217;s decision, many mainstream outlets presented it accurately — as a horrifying crime against humanity, and a betrayal of the most basic principle of medicine. 
Here&#8217;s how the author of The Free Press piece, Rupa Subramanya, <a href="https://x.com/rupasubramanya/status/1774949448956649542?s=20" target="_blank" rel="noopener">put it on X</a>: 
<blockquote>I&#8217;ve been struck by the reactions so far, some of which I anticipated. North Americans generally tend to be horrified at the Dutch acceptance of the right to die even for someone who is not terminally ill or their acceptance that there should be a more humane to commit suicide even when euthanasia is legal. The Dutch I spoke to find North Americans very conservative and religious when it comes to life and death.
The Netherlands is a post-religious society, and the comments from there are 180 degrees from what I&#8217;m getting from people in North America. We&#8217;re living in two different epistemic worlds at the same point in time, in cultures that descend from fundamentally the same Western roots coming from the Renaissance, the Enlightenment, and the Protestant Reformation. There is overwhelming support for euthanasia, assisted dying and a more humane way to commit suicide in The Netherlands than anywhere else in the Western world.</blockquote>
What this tells us is that the contagion that has now completely overtaken Europe, and in particular countries like The Netherlands, may be reversible in this country. It may not have completely taken hold here. And there are other signs of that, as well.
For example, late last year, the American Medical Association&#8217;s house of delegates <a href="https://www.ncregister.com/cna/american-medical-association-retains-opposition-to-assisted-suicide" target="_blank" rel="noopener">considered</a> a resolution that would have officially endorsed the practice of euthanasia. Given the extent of the barbaric medical practices the AMA endorses already, it seemed likely that this resolution would pass. But as the National Catholic Register <a href="https://www.ncregister.com/cna/american-medical-association-retains-opposition-to-assisted-suicide" target="_blank" rel="noopener">reports</a>:
<blockquote>The House of Delegates of the American Medical Association &#8230; rebuffed an effort to change the organization’s current stance in opposition to physician-assisted suicide, a development that drew praise from members of the Catholic Medical Association, which advocated against the change.</blockquote>
This is a victory, obviously. But the fact this resolution was even proposed, and seriously considered, tells us we&#8217;re not very far removed from The Netherlands. It suggests that, unless the underlying causes of this trend are resolved, it will overtake this country as well. And the underlying causes — the reason young people are killing themselves — is that hope and a sense of purpose are becoming rare in modern society. That&#8217;s true both here and in Europe.
Now that euthanasia offers a seemingly easy and &#8220;painless&#8221; way out, more and more people, at younger and younger ages, will take advantage of it. They&#8217;ll be put on antidepressants that don&#8217;t work, and then suicide drugs after that. Somehow, the drug companies will suggest that, even though they&#8217;ve sold SSRIs that accomplish nothing, you should still trust them when they say that their euthanasia drug is the solution.
This is a pitch that only works when people have been lied to for years, and become profoundly confused about this basic fact: Life is not easy. Nobody is happy all the time. But we are alive for a reason. If we feel like life is meaningless, it’s not because life has no meaning, it’s just that we struggle to see it. The solution is to help those people see the meaning in life.
Pharma companies like Bausch Health are not providing that solution. They aren’t trying to help people in their despair. They’re only trying to profit off of it.

Outgoing Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte, a top contender to be the next leader of <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/nato" target="_blank" rel="noopener">NATO</a>, encouraged Western allies to stop fretting over the prospect of former President <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/donald-trump" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Donald Trump</a> returning to the White House.
&#8220;We should stop moaning and whining and nagging about Trump,&#8221; Rutte said to the Munich Security Conference, <a href="https://www.usnews.com/news/world/articles/2024-02-17/stop-whining-about-trump-and-focus-on-europes-interests-dutch-pm-says" target="_blank" rel="noopener">according to Reuters</a>. He added, &#8220;It&#8217;s up to the Americans. I&#8217;m not an American, I cannot vote in the U.S. We have to work with whoever is on the dance floor.&#8221;
Trump, who is running another campaign for a second term, prompted a firestorm this month when he told an anecdote about how he used hardball tactics to negotiate with other world leaders on supporting the NATO alliance.
At an event in South Carolina, Trump spoke about how NATO was &#8220;busted&#8221; until he got <a href="https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2021-03-16/nato-members-ramp-up-defense-spending-after-pressure-from-trump" target="_blank" rel="noopener">allied countries to increase their</a> defense spending under pressure to do more to meet the <a href="https://www.nato.int/cps/en/natohq/topics_49198.htm#:~:text=The%202%25%20defence%20investment%20guideline,ensure%20the%20Alliance's%20military%20readiness." target="_blank" rel="noopener">2% minimum GDP defense investment guideline</a>.
&#8220;One of the presidents of a big country stood up and said, &#8216;Well sir, if we don&#8217;t pay and we&#8217;re attacked by Russia, will you protect us?&#8217; I said, you didn&#8217;t pay? You&#8217;re delinquent? He said, &#8216;Yes, let&#8217;s say that happened.&#8217; No, I would not protect you. In fact, I would encourage them to do whatever the hell they want. You gotta pay,&#8221; Trump said.
Some took Trump&#8217;s comments as suggesting he would allow the United States to neglect its <a href="https://www.nato.int/cps/en/natohq/topics_110496.htm" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Article 5 duties</a> and even take Russia&#8217;s side in the event of an attack, but the former president indicated he&#8217;s focused on getting NATO allies to <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/trump-explains-nato-stance-after-negotiating-story-draws-controversy" target="_blank" rel="noopener">&#8220;equalize&#8221; contributions</a>.

Rutte, who is seen as a leading candidate to follow Jens Stoltenberg as <a href="https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2023-11-21/rutte-seizes-lead-in-nato-job-race-as-he-exits-dutch-politics" target="_blank" rel="noopener">secretary general</a> of NATO later this year, explained to German news outlet Deutsche Welle his position, saying, &#8220;Let&#8217;s stop moaning and nagging and whining about Trump&#8221; because the 2024 election has not happened yet.
&#8220;We need to invest in our defense expenditure. We need to massively ramp up arms production, and we need to massively do more in support to Ukraine,&#8221; Rutte said. &#8220;This has nothing to do with Trump,&#8221; he continued, adding later how allies should &#8220;be making sure that our defense is at maximum capacity.&#8221;

Rioting erupted in the Netherlands over the weekend between two African migrant groups that resulted in police cars being torched.
The Associated Press <a href="https://www.washingtonpost.com/world/2024/02/17/eritrea-government-rioting-hague-netherlands/c41a2064-cdd4-11ee-aa8e-1e5794a4b2d6_story.html">reported</a> that a group of Eritreans that opposes the African country&#8217;s government attacked a venue where a group loyal to Eritrea’s government was holding a meeting.
The Hague Municipality spokesman Robin Middel said, “It got seriously out of hand.”
Video of the attack showed dozens of military-aged males rioting, smashing windows, and destroying vehicles as police arrived on scene.
Stones were later thrown at law enforcement officials and there were reports of approximately a dozen police officers and firefighters sustaining injuries.
Police had to use tear gas to disperse the migrants and quell the violence.
&#8220;Rioters break into an entrance at the Opera,&#8221; a local reporter <a href="https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-13095811/Riot-erupts-streets-Hague-migrants-attack-cops.html">posted</a> on X. &#8220;Windows are broken and attempts are made to enter. The fire brigade has also left again and cannot extinguish the fire.&#8221;

Rikkie Kolle, a 22-year-old man, beat out nine women to attain the title of “Miss Netherlands” on Saturday, sparking outrage on social media as many users said the win showed we are experiencing a trend of erasing women. 
 The Miss Netherlands competition is part of Miss Universe, and Kolle will compete in the 72nd Miss Universe pageant in El Salvador later this year. 
“A man just won &#8216;Miss Netherlands&#8217; 2023,” Dutch commentator Eva Vlaardingerbroek tweeted. “Considering the fact that we live in a post-Truth world, I wasn’t even expecting anything else. It’s all so predictable and unoriginal at this point,” she added.

The Miss Netherlands judges said Kolle “has a strong story with a clear mission,” adding that they were &#8220;convinced that the organization (of Miss Nederland, ed.) will enjoy working” with him, according to translated comments from NOS.

“The Netherlands is home to some of the most beautiful women on earth,” another account <a href="https://twitter.com/ada_lluch/status/1678031091410653187" target="_blank" rel="noopener">posted</a>. “Of all these beautiful women, they just nominated a transgender man to be Miss Netherlands 2023. A man with a penis should be disqualified from any female beauty pageant and the fact that statement will gain me haters is just insane.”
Another <a href="https://twitter.com/jacksonhinklle/status/1678046705722314754" target="_blank" rel="noopener">wrote</a>, “The West has completely lost the plot.”
Others pointed out the difference between Kolle and the runner-up — a woman — and said it’s clear who the winner should have been.

There’s a disturbing new trend in television: fully nude adults standing in front of children, encouraging them to ask questions about their naked bodies.
This is the premise of not one, but two new TV shows, both generating controversy in the entertainment sphere. And if that’s not bad enough, both programs have already included trans-identifying individuals in their nude line-ups as part of their efforts to normalize “gender-affirming” surgeries to minors.
First, the Dutch television show “Gewoon Bloot” (“Simply Naked”) premiered on public broadcaster NOS. The show proudly displays nude adults in front of 10- to 12-year-old children. A recent episode focused on people who identify as transgender, as The Daily Wire previously <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/dutch-tv-show-presents-naked-transgender-adults-to-children-one-participant-describes-gender-reassignment-surgery-as-euphoric" target="_blank" rel="noopener">reported</a>.
Host Edson da Graça reiterated the show’s premise, saying how nude adults stand in front of children to “give them the opportunity to ask questions” about their naked bodies.
“Today our guests are transgenders,” da Graça announced in a clip that started circulating on social media. 
“That feeling can simply be a feeling, but you can also do something about it,” one show participant told the children about experiencing gender dysphoria. “For example, I had a surgery.”
“As you can see, there’s something in my underpants but I still have a vulva,” another person on the stage said. “I don’t feel comfortable with that body part, therefore I am wearing my underwear with a packer,” the person continued, referring to wearing padding or a phallic object to give the appearance of having a penis.
Another participant talked about “vaginoplasty,” which was described as a process by which “you can surgically change the male sex organ to the female sex organ.”
The children on the show seemed very receptive to embracing radical left-wing gender theory.
“At first you think, huh?” one of the young show participants said in response to the presentation. “But later you realize that it’s actually pretty normal.”
“It’s actually really normal,” another young boy agreed.
“So it’s not just male and female. There’s an entire spectrum of genders besides male and female,” da Graça told the audience of kids. Next, a trans-identifying participant described feeling “euphoric” after having gender reassignment surgery.
“I woke up and I knew that my breasts were gone. That it looked like I had always wanted it to look. It finally matched the way I feel inside, and that made me feel ecstatic.”
“So it feels a bit like flying?” one child asked.
“Yes,” the participant responded.
“You simply feel intense happiness,” the host chimed in, to which the child replied, “I want that, too.”
The Netherlands isn’t the only country introducing this premise to children. The U.K. based series “Naked Education” also aims to “destigmatize” nudity and body image issues by posing nude adults in front of kids. Host Anna Richardson, who is also responsible for the reality dating show “Naked Attraction,” described the program as “educational, emotional, [and] joyous,” as The Daily Wire previously <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/naked-education-show-features-adults-posing-nude-for-minors-sparks-fury-in-u-k" target="_blank" rel="noopener">reported</a>. 
“I like to make shows that are controversial, that break taboos and that make a difference, and with every single show that I’ve done you can tick one of those boxes,” Richardson told The Sun. “Naked Education is a body positive, educational series that is basically aiming to normalize all body types and champion everybody’s differences, so that we can accept that with our clothes off we’re all normal,” she added.
Interestingly, “Naked Education” also featured an episode with trans-identifying adults stripping down in front of minors.
Episode three of the six-part series features Finlay Games and Lucian Main, two “transgender men” who discuss their experiences with coming out, transitioning, surgery, and presenting as trans in today’s world.
Both Games and Main had their breasts removed. Games also had phalloplasty, a controversial and complicated procedure which involves surgeons harvesting one or more &#8220;flaps&#8221; of skin and other tissues from the body, usually the forearm, to create the look of a penis and urethra.
“There is so much misinformation around being transgender in general, but especially around gender-affirming surgery and what that is, and why we have surgery. It was so important to show that this isn’t just surgery that we choose, it’s life-saving stuff,” Games <a href="https://metro.co.uk/2023/04/04/naked-education-stars-on-the-importance-of-baring-all-as-trans-men-18550801/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">told</a> Metro UK in an interview.
“Surgery is more than just the aesthetic changes on the outside, it’s really deep, internal, life-saving changes,” the show participant continued. “I had my surgery quite late in life and I lost all my young years to gender dysphoria and distress, but this surgery has given me a whole new lease of life and I wanted to show that this really does enhance lives.”
Games admitted that backlash was inevitable but said it was all worth it.
“We don’t have an ‘agenda,’ we just want to be happy,” the “Naked Education” participant concluded.
“Having our voices heard is so important. The only place to learn about trans people is from trans people. Seeing regular trans bodies on television, that’s what people need to see, trans people being their regular trans selves, going about their regular trans lives.”
Both shows received extensive backlash online both in their home countries and abroad.
“Channel 4 has launched a show called ‘Naked Education’ which exposes children to naked men, women and transgender adults. Why are parents happy for their children to see other naked adults? Think all of those involved need their hard drives checked,” commentator Anna McGovern tweeted.
“This is literally just adults stripping naked in front of underaged kids. And not only is it allowed on national TV, it’s celebrated. Exactly what wake-up call do we need? How f***ed up does it have to get?” another person asked.
Dutch MP Tunahan Kuzu said the “Simply Naked” premise was “ridiculous” and demanded that the citizens boycott the series. Conservative politician Thierry Baudet accused the show of “promoting pedophilia.”
So far no United States entertainment outlets have announced plans for a similar series. But with the trend becoming more popular abroad, it’s only a matter of time before they do.

Two large protests unfolded in the Netherlands last week as citizens headed to vote in a provincial election yesterday. One protest was led by people with legitimate, tangible skin in the game: Farmers, fishermen, and their supporters. Dutch land, way of life, and time-tested traditions of success are under threat and being taken and destroyed. 
 
The second protest was an assembly of autonomous human drones, fueled by the information war. These victims of &#8220;menticide&#8221; are the &#8220;extinction rebellion&#8221; — brainwashed meatbots — from the same information ecosystems that created Antifa and Black Lives Matter. 

While the Dutch provincial election took a <a href="https://www.foxnews.com/world/european-farmers-fed-climate-policies-shock-political-establishment" target="_blank" rel="noopener">favorable turn</a> for the farmers, many believe the threat to their autonomy still remains. 
Dutch farmers are under a severe information attack of their own, with accusations that farming causes “stickstoff poisoning,” — nitrogen poisoning. The accusation is so fraudulent that to even discuss the merits is to lose the fight. A famous Dutch medical doctor and psychoanalyst, Joost Meerloo, wrote extensively about such menticide in his classic book on brainwashing, &#8220;Rape of the Mind,&#8221; published in 1956. In the book, Dr. Meerloo explained exactly what we are seeing today, including methods for countering this mental martial art. A paraphrase of Dr. Meerloo’s advice: Do not engage in discussion of details when the bedrock details of the argument are lies. To discuss the merits of the meritless is to lose. 
 
The nitrogen argument put forth by Dutch prime minister Rutte and his globalist friends is fake. Unworthy of discussion. Instead, they should fix their gaze higher — ad hominem in this case — on the communists and other tyrants who wield the information swords.
The argument is as prima facie fallacious as the accusation that calling Holland “Holland” is somehow wrong. Their true goal is total control. Control of the simplest acts of existence, such as eating, which words we use, and calling oneself Dutch or American. According to the Dutch government, the name “Holland” is now outdated and should no longer be used by Dutch government officials. Yes, the term Holland is now canceled.
In a <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/episode/b" target="_blank" rel="noopener">recent interview</a>, Dr. Jordan Peterson pointedly and repeatedly called this country, the Netherlands, Holland. If any man understands the immense power of a single word, the man is Dr. Peterson. Dr. Peterson knows compelled speech is slavery and slavery leads to spiritual death.
Last year, I stood outside a venue in the Netherlands where Dr. Peterson was speaking to a full house. He travels with a security detail due to serious, credible threats. Antifa protested the event, attempting to intimidate those who will listen to men who study, stand, and speak the truth.
I have spent months with Antifa in the past — in Portland, Atlanta, Philadelphia, Hong Kong (yes), and Washington D.C. I know their ways and how they work tirelessly to intimidate, using an information war as their highest form of warfare. 
The information war currently spreading across the Dutch &#8220;mindscape&#8221; is the real poison. The Dutch government is openly in the grips of a beastly alliance of the WEF and the CCP — The World Economic Forum and the Chinese Communist Party. Klaus Schwab, chairman of the WEF, has publicly, effusively praised Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte, the Netherlands version of Justin Trudeau.
These globalists need the farmland to create their planned Utopia called &#8220;Tristate City,&#8221; a megalopolis, comprising most of the Netherlands, parts of Germany, and Belgium. And while the brainchild behind the massive blueprint, urban planner Peter Savelberg, recently <a href="https://www.politico.eu/newsletter/global-policy-lab/living-cities-taking-on-period-poverty-tristate-city-conspiracy-monumental-women/">walked back his proposal</a>, it doesn&#8217;t diminish the WEF&#8217;s vision of a human farm where every movement will be tracked, recorded, and analyzed in real time by people such as Chinese agents.

Tristate City includes the two busiest ports in Europe: Rotterdam and Antwerp. If China has its way, its new growing <a href="https://www.voanews.com/a/war-in-ukraine-challenging-china-s-train-routes-to-europe/6530632.html">Asian rail infrastructure</a> will chug across the middle of the Tristate City to Rotterdam. The Tristate City is set to become a giant Chinese port city.

WEF/CCP needs and wants the land. Standing in the way, of course, are the farmers and a strong Dutch spirit. If the western WEF members, who now cooperate so deeply with CCP, succeed they will eventually fight over the spoils. Stated more plainly — though WEF and CCP are today wedded in unholy marriage, they are destined for bloody divorce. 
 
Why so herculean an effort to destroy Dutch culture including farmers and fishermen? Control: Control of food supply, freedom of movement, association, and commerce. Dutch farmers — among the most efficient and responsible in the world — are working in large parts on land that was reclaimed from the sea. Not primal forests, but underwater. Their family lines go back centuries. They are literally the original tribespeople, as it were. If this were any place other than Europe, the Frisians and others might be labeled indigenous, in need of protection.
