The Daily Wire&#8217;s Michael Knowles spoke with Representative Keith Self (R-TX), who adjourned a congressional hearing on Tuesday after a Democrat congressman had an outburst over Self referring to a transgender-identifying, biologically male member of Congress as &#8220;mister.&#8221;
The kerfuffle began when Self, who chairs the Foreign Affairs subcommittee on Europe, referred to Representative Sarah McBride (D-DE),  the first openly transgender-identifying member of Congress, as &#8220;mister.&#8221;

“I now recognize the representative from Delaware, Mr. McBride,” Self said during Tuesday&#8217;s hearing.
McBride responded by thanking Self and referring to him as &#8220;madam chair.&#8221;
The subcommittee’s top Democrat, Representative Bill Keating of Massachusetts, then interjected, asking Self to repeat his introduction.
Self doubled down, referring to McBride as &#8220;mister&#8221; and saying, &#8220;We have set the standard on the floor of the House.&#8221;
&#8220;Mr. Chairman, you are out of order,&#8221; Keating said. &#8220;Mr. Chairman, have you no decency?&#8221;
&#8220;We will continue this hearing,&#8221; Self said.
&#8220;You will not continue it with me unless you introduce a duly elected representative the right way!&#8221; Keating said, pounding his fist on the table.
&#8220;This hearing is adjourned,&#8221; Self said, tapping his gavel.
Self <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/episode/mks-ep-1691" target="_blank" rel="noopener">spoke</a> to Knowles on Wednesday and explained that the first time McBride was introduced on the House floor, he was referred to as &#8220;mister&#8221; and did not object.
&#8220;We&#8217;ve set the standard now in the congressional record that Mr. McBride will be referred to as Mr. McBride,&#8221; Self said.
&#8220;What do you say to those people who say it is disrespectful for you to call a man who thinks he&#8217;s a woman &#8216;mister?'&#8221; Knowles asked.
&#8220;Michael, I&#8217;m a retired Green Beret,&#8221; Self responded. &#8220;I&#8217;m not even sure what all the fuss is about. I mean, he is allowed to live his life. In fact, I spent 25 years on active duty defending his right to live his life as he chooses, but I don&#8217;t have to participate in his fantasy.&#8221;
&#8220;The minute that you or any other Republican refers to this man as &#8216;miss&#8217; or &#8216;madam&#8217; or &#8216;missus&#8217; or something then you have implicitly accepted the transgender ideology, and the whole debate is over,&#8221; Knowles said.
&#8220;Absolutely,&#8221; Self said, emphasizing the &#8220;the damage they are doing to our children.&#8221;
&#8220;Where are the Democrats when a young lady gets injured by a male playing in a volleyball game? They don&#8217;t have a word to say about it,&#8221; Self said.
&#8220;If Congress doesn&#8217;t stand against it, who is going to?&#8221; the congressman said. &#8220;We are viewed as national leaders of some sort, and we need to make the standard that we will not participate in this fantasy that they try to say that a man can become a woman.&#8221;

Daily Wire host <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/author/michael-j-knowles">Michael Knowles</a> talked about the &#8220;out of touch&#8221; comments made by Democratic Senators at Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/they-used-to-be-my-friends-democrats-scream-at-rfk-in-confirmation-hearing">confirmation hearing</a> for Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary under President Donald Trump.
Speaking to “The Megyn Kelly Show” <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lI4xi0v57lQ">podcast</a> on Wednesday, Knowles and Kelly discussed questions by Democratic Senators Ron Wyden (D-OR) and Elizabeth Warren (D-MA). Knowles said they appeared to be &#8220;shilling for the big pharmaceutical companies&#8221; that didn’t want Kennedy selected.
“The Democrats and the squish Republicans have not caught up with the tectonic shift that has happened in politics,” Knowles said. “They&#8217;re still considering politics from 10 or 15 years ago, but after this election, issues like mass deportations, that is now the mainstream position of most Americans, issues like questioning the over-prescription of vaccines, the regulatory capture by big pharmaceutical companies, that is now the mainstream position for most Americans.”

“I think that these senators who haven&#8217;t gotten the message, they&#8217;re just so profoundly out of touch, and if they continue to remain out of touch, it will be at their own electoral peril,&#8221; he added.
Knowles said that what he witnessed at the hearing wasn’t a case of “Democrats versus Republicans or leftists versus conservatives.”
“It’s not over some ideological issue,” the DW host said. “The sole pushback that Kennedy is getting … is from the pharmaceutical companies operating through the politicians they have bought off and control.”
“That’s it,” Knowles added. “So, the question that remains to be seen is can Bobby Kennedy, with the backing of Donald Trump who just won a landslide election with the popular vote for the first time for a Republican in 20 years, can he overcome one single lobby in the country, and that is the pharmaceutical lobby. We are about to get a measure of their relative power in the U.S. Senate.&#8221;
“All these Democrats are opposed to me for partisan issues, they used to be my friends,” Kennedy said at one point in the <a href="https://x.com/theblaze/status/1884648234112422098" target="_blank" rel="noopener">hearing</a>. “They agreed with all the issues I’ve been working on my whole career. Now, they’re against me because anything President Trump does has to be discredited, derided, and vilified.”

House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) announced on Wednesday that people who use restrooms in the House of Representatives must use the one that matches their biological sex.
&#8220;All single-sex facilities in the Capitol and House Office Buildings &#8211; such as restrooms, changing rooms, and locker rooms — are reserved for individuals of that biological sex,&#8221; Johnson said in a statement.
&#8220;It is important to note that each Member office has its own private restroom, and unisex restrooms are available throughout the Capitol,&#8221; he added. &#8220;Women deserve women&#8217;s only spaces.&#8221;
When asked by a reporter if the policy would be enforceable, Johnson said, &#8220;Like all House policies, it&#8217;s enforceable.&#8221;
&#8220;And we have single-sex facilities for a reason, and women deserve women&#8217;s only spaces,&#8221; he noted. &#8220;And we are not anti-anyone and we are pro-woman. I think it is an important policy for us to continue. It’s always been an unwritten policy and now it is in writing.&#8221;
The announcement comes after Rep. Nancy Mace (R-SC) introduced a bill this week that banned &#8220;Members, officers, and employees of the House from using single-sex facilities other than those corresponding to their biological sex, and for other purposes.&#8221;
Mace later tweaked the bill, naming it the “Protecting Women’s Private Spaces Act,” and provided it exclusively to The Daily Wire.
The bill prohibits &#8220;individuals from accessing or using single-sex facilities on federal property other than those corresponding to their biological sex.&#8221;

Knowles and the 54-year-old conservative actor <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/episode/kirk-cameron">traded questions</a> in the game, wherein opponents win points by accurately guessing which way their opponent will lean on topics ranging from politics and religion to pop culture and more.
Cameron and Knowles agreed that “it’s more of a risk to send your teenager to public school than it is to buy them a motorcycle,” prompting a discussion on how American public education has become “religious” in the way that it drills students in left-wing ideologies.
Knowles pointed to a recent CDC study that came out saying, “1 in 30 American high school students today identify as transgender. One-in-eighteen is gender questioning…to subject your kid to that you are 1-in-18 chance, you are really rolling the dice with your kid’s life.”

The “Growing Pains” star talked about how he and his wife chose to homeschool their six kids, calling public schools today “far too religious.”
“At the end of the day, public schools have become so unsafe for your children, in my opinion,” Cameron explained. “And the value of the sacrifice they demand from you to their priests and their elders is just not even…and I think that they’ve created their own worship, called ‘secular humanism.’”
“Which has become the church of secular culture,” he added. “And it’s the worship of corporate man or human beings and they have their own twisted Ten Commandments, LGBTQIADEI. And if you don’t fall in line with that dogma, that is grounds for banishment from their society.”
Knowles agreed, labeling it effectively a “conversion therapy” to their religion.
“Ironically, they say they hate conversion therapy,” the DW host said. “But it&#8217;s conversion therapy to their false religion.”
Later, Cameron posed a question to Knowles asking whether “the media’s war on masculinity is really an attack on Biblical manhood.” Both agreed yes, with the Daily Wire host suggesting it is also an attack on the natural things about being a man, what he called “the Christian understanding” of manhood and fatherhood.
Cameron agreed, adding that “much of the media wants to depict men as defective women.”
“And I think that is because there is inherent value to being masculine that is very scary to the Left,” the Hollywood star said. “Men who so love their wives, children, their God and their family and their future that they are willing to defend it with their own lives. That’s something that stands in the way of consolidating power in the government and advancing Marxism …”

Leftist author Judith Butler claims in her latest book that Daily Wire host <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/show/the-michael-knowles-show" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Michael Knowles</a> is a fascist because of his views that society should not accept transgenderism.
Butler, a well-known feminist and proponent of gender ideology, takes aim at Knowles in her book, “Who’s Afraid of Gender?” In the book, Butler argues that comments Knowles made at CPAC in 2023 about eradicating the ideology of transgenderism from public life were fascistic.
According to an <a href="https://pioneerworks.org/broadcast/who's-afraid-of-gender-judith-butler" target="_blank" rel="noopener">excerpt</a> from her new book, Butler discusses a viral quote from Knowles&#8217; <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/michael-knowles-reveals-what-conservatives-must-do-to-defeat-radical-gender-theory-during-cpac-speech" target="_blank" rel="noopener">CPAC speech</a> where he said that “transgenderism must be eradicated from public life entirely” for the good of society and “the poor people who have fallen prey to this confusion.”
After the speech, Knowles was attacked by many on the Left who accused him of promoting “genocide.” Even the Biden administration weighed in, with White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/wh-spokesperson-karine-jean-pierre-repeats-false-claim-michael-knowles-called-for-eradication-of-transgender-people" target="_blank" rel="noopener">falsely claiming</a> that he called for the “eradication of transgender people.”
In her book, which was published in March, Butler repeats attacks on Knowles for the speech, quoting the part about eradicating the ideology of transgenderism.
“The language of eradication belongs to fascism, and today it is directed not only against trans people but against all those who have been clustered under the signs of ‘gender’ and ‘critical race theory’ and ‘wokism,’” Butler wrote. “The ready definitions for fascism tend to rely on the study of its twentieth-century form, so new vocabularies are required to understand new iterations of fascism that have emerged in the last decades.”
Butler’s book has been <a href="https://christopherrufo.com/p/trans-factual" target="_blank" rel="noopener">thoroughly criticized</a> by investigative journalist Chris Rufo, who points out that it is riddled with factual errors and mischaracterizations about Rufo’s own work targeting gender ideology.
Knowles responded to Butler’s accusations on his <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/episode/ep-1486-watch-the-hillary-clinton-musical-is-worse-than-you-think" target="_blank" rel="noopener">show on Thursda</a>y where he critiqued the Left’s ever-changing definition of fascism.

On his show, Knowles pointed out that prominent liberal figures like Bill and Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama would all be considered “fascists” because they all opposed gay marriage at one point in their political careers. The same would go for support for transgenderism, Knowles said, the explosion of which is a very recent phenomenon.

So, according to Judith Butler, does that mean everyone was a fascist, except for her?”
“This means that the definition of fascism has to change to: whatever the liberals oppose now,” Knowles added. “It’s always changing. For Judith Butler, it’s not being a progressive leftist.”

Employees of Pornhub’s parent company were caught on camera touting the benefits of underage kids watching pornography, and even suggesting that making videos of transgender-identifying people engaging in sex could help young people figure out their sexuality, according to a new video released exclusively on The Michael Knowles Show on Wednesday.
Arden Young, the undercover journalist behind the newly released video from Sound Investigations, told Daily Wire host Michael Knowles that the videos indicate that “protecting children is not a concern, maximizing profits is their concern, and they don’t seem to care who they hurt in the process.”
The new video documents employees of Aylo, formerly named Mindgeek, the parent company of Pornhub, admitting to attempting to steer viewers’ sexual proclivities.

Employee Dillon Rice, a senior script writer at the company, is seen arguing that pornography usage could be beneficial for preteens. “Let’s say you’re 12 years old, you’re still figuring out your sexuality, maybe even your gender, wouldn’t it be helpful to see not a celebration but maybe just a … normalization of something that you think is what you want?” Rice is seen saying.
Rice went on to specifically reference a pornography site centered around transgender individuals, remarking, “Let’s say I was 12 and I saw TransAngels … it would help me figure out what I do like and what I don’t like.”
Knowles said the attempt to steer viewers’ sexual tastes flies in the face of one of the core arguments that emerged from the sexual revolution. “The thing that is so shocking to me is that we’ve been told for my entire life by the left, by the pro-pornography people, by the sexual revolutionaries, that sexual desire is innate and immutable,” Knowles says. “Nobody becomes gay or bisexual.”
In addition to Rice, the video shows conversations with Aylo Production Coordinator Sylvain Fernandez, and Technical Product Manager Mike Farley. Fernandez appeared unbothered by Young’s point that the average age at which most view porn is only 11 years old, with Fernandez replying, “I mean, sounds like my age,” before adding “I mean it makes sense you know. Definitely associated with puberty.”
The Aylo employees said the company looks for opportunities to put bisexual, gay, or trans scenes in videos that are typically marketed to straight men.
Rice remarked that while some platforms are “primarily for straight men,” the company tries to “push the envelope as much as you can and be like, can I hint at bi content here … what if we brought a trans talent onto the site … you kinda take those risks to broaden it a little more.” Rice added “you’re always trying to push a little further.”
“They need to try to push stuff that is … less accepted, like putting a trans male or trans female in a scene,” Rice said. “See if you can convert somebody.”

Rice took it even farther, referencing a transgender pornography site when he remarked “it&#8217;s female presenting trans women and they sell that to straight men, so I think the next big step is doing something that’s counter culture, maybe doing like a trans man in a scene, like having a guy f*** a male-presenting trans man with a vagina and see how that does.”
Young, the Sound Investigations journalist, told Knowles she was “inspired to investigate Pornhub in the first place because of a 2020 New York Times article  that really detailed the struggles of often underage people to get their abuse videos taken off of Pornhub.”
The undercover video is the latest in a longer series of videos on the pornography company, which attempt to prove that there is no serious effort to keep underage users off the platform and that it attempts to appeal to pedophiles and young teems, Young said. She referenced
“We have multiple previous <a href="https://twitter.com/SoundInvestig" target="_blank" rel="noopener">undercover videos</a> we’ve published that detail just the lack of age of consent verification for pornographic uploads and pornographic ads … advertising porn to appeal to pedophiles and young teens, we have a plethora of undercover footage,” Young added.
Knowles said the latest video should make the issue a “clear cut” case for anyone on the fence about regulating the porn industry.
“The takeaways here for me,” Knowles concluded, is that “this is as clear cut a case for proper political action as I have ever seen. If you are in elected office, wield the power of the state. What they are doing is illegal in so many ways.”
“Stop looking at porn, if for no other reason than the senior writers here are saying they want to make you gay and trans,” Knowles said.
