The Department of Justice filed a lawsuit against Republican West Virginia Governor Jim Justice’s coal businesses on Wednesday. The DOJ says the businesses possess millions in unpaid civil penalties.
The lawsuit targets 13 coal businesses operated by the Justice family, as well as the governor’s adult son. The DOJ said that the amount of penalties, interest, and expenses owed is nearly $8 million. Governor Justice is the top challenger to incumbent Democrat Senator Joe Manchin. According to an East Carolina University poll released earlier this week, Justice leads Manchin by over 20 points in a head-to-head matchup. The National Republican Senatorial Committee, which backs GOP candidates for U.S. Senate, said of the DOJ’s lawsuit, “Joe Biden’s Department of Justice has gone totally rogue.” The NRSC added that “weaponizing the federal government to attack the family of a senate candidate is a complete abuse of power.”

A former staffer who accused President Joe Biden of sexual assault back when he was a senator has defected to Russia. Tara Reade made the announcement during a Russian state press conference while she sat next to Russian spy Maria Butina.
“I’m not going to be intimidated, bullied or silenced. I’m going to speak out and I’m willing to speak under oath about the corruption I witnessed, about the crime I experienced,” Reade claimed. “And it is remarkable that Joe Biden raped me when I worked for him at U.S. Congress and I’m supposed to be the fugitive. That is ridiculous and it’s unacceptable.”
During the 2020 presidential campaign, Reade accused Biden of sexually assaulting her during her time working for him when he was a senator. Reade has also said that she would be requesting Russian citizenship.

The National Eating Disorders Association has temporarily disabled its AI chatbot nicknamed Tessa because it “may have given information that was harmful and unrelated to the program.” 
NEDA was set to cancel its long-running telephone hotline to help individuals with eating disorders on June 1, by shifting operations over to the Artificial intelligence chatbot “Tessa.” However, several reports indicate that Tessa failed to provide the nuanced support users needed, and even gave advice that could inadvertently exacerbate existing eating disorders. For example, one user was given weight-loss advice and told how to measure her body with calipers — even after the chatbot was told she had an eating disorder. For its part, NEDA said that it hadn’t seen those sorts of responses to the 2,000-plus individuals who’ve tried it. The association is now looking into options for how to fix the chatbot.

Two elderly pro-life advocates were reportedly attacked by an unidentified male in front of a <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/planned-parenthood">Planned Parenthood</a> in Baltimore, Maryland, on Friday, leaving one victim hospitalized for a fractured bone in his face. Now, police are searching for suspects.
80-year-old Dick Schafer and 73-year-old Mark Crosby were allegedly assaulted and seriously injured outside the Baltimore abortion facility in an unprovoked attack last week. Schafer has been recovering at home, while Crosby is currently receiving treatment for his injuries in the shock trauma facility at the University of Maryland. According to a police report, doctors diagnosed Crosby with a large hematoma, hyphemia, and head and neck pain. According to the Baltimore police, the suspect could be seen passing Crosby and Schafer before turning around and having a “visibly aggressive conversation” with Schafer, which then turned into a physical altercation. So far, police have made no arrests.

Reade made the announcement during a Russian state press conference while she sat next to Russian spy Maria Butina, who was previously <a href="https://www.justice.gov/opa/pr/russian-national-sentenced-18-months-prison-conspiring-act-agent-russian-federation-within" target="_blank" rel="noopener">convicted</a> and sentenced to prison in the U.S. for conspiring to act as an agent of Russia inside the U.S.
“I&#8217;m still kind of in a daze a bit, but I feel very good,” Reade <a href="https://www.thedailybeast.com/joe-biden-accuser-tara-reade-claims-she-defected-to-russia-after-sexual-assault-allegations" target="_blank" rel="noopener">told</a> Sputnik News. “I feel very surrounded by protection and safety. And I just really so appreciate Maria [Butina] and everyone who&#8217;s been giving me that at a time when it&#8217;s been very difficult to know if I&#8217;m safe or not.”
&#8220;I&#8217;m not going to be intimidated, bullied or silenced. I&#8217;m going to speak out and I&#8217;m willing to speak under oath about the corruption I witnessed, about the crime I experienced,&#8221; she claimed. &#8220;And it is remarkable that Joe Biden raped me when I worked for him at U.S. Congress and I&#8217;m supposed to be the fugitive. That is ridiculous and it&#8217;s unacceptable.&#8221;
Reade said that she was requesting that Russian President Vladimir Putin make her a citizen of the Russian Federation.
&#8220;I am going to make a request and it&#8217;s a large one: I&#8217;d like to apply for citizenship in Russia from the president of the Russian federation, Vladimir Putin, and hopefully Maria can help me from the State Duma,&#8221; Reade said, adding: &#8220;I do promise to be a good citizen and move forward with my life in a positive way.&#8221;

After being almost entirely ignored by the mainstream media for weeks, Reade’s allegation was finally addressed by The New York Times in a much-scrutinized <a href="https://www.nytimes.com/2020/04/12/us/politics/joe-biden-tara-reade-sexual-assault-complaint.html">examination</a> of Reade’s allegation that Biden’s campaign initially portrayed as having exonerated him, but which the Times made clear in a strong rebuke of Biden’s camp had not.
Reade <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/new-details-emerge-on-joe-bidens-alleged-sexual-assault-of-tara-reade">documented</a> the alleged assault in late March 2020, saying that it happened when a supervisor instructed her to take a gym bag to Biden.
“I handed him the thing. He greeted me. He remembered my name. And then we were alone,” Reade said. “It was the strangest thing. There was no like exchange really. He just had me up against the wall. I was wearing like a skirt, a business skirt.”

Several months after former Senate staffer <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/tara-reade">Tara Reade</a> accused <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/joe-biden">Joe Biden</a> of <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/sexual-assault">sexual assault</a>, the Department of Justice (<a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/doj">DOJ</a>) issued a subpoena to <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/twitter">Twitter</a> demanding personal information on her accounts, including credit card or bank account numbers.
The subpoena was only <a href="https://dailycaller.com/2022/12/02/doj-tara-reade-twitter-joe-biden-sexual-assault-allegations/">recently revealed</a> by the Daily Caller, which obtained emails and documents relating to the incident showing the DOJ asked Twitter to testify in front of a grand jury on December 16, 2020, to provide “all subscriber information” for Reade’s accounts. The information was requested of two accounts belonging to Reade, including @ReadeAlexandra and @TaraMcCabe.
The DOJ requested the following information from the accounts, according to the Caller:

<li>Subscriber name;</li>
<li>Address;</li>
<li>Records of session times and durations, to include attempted/failed/unauthenticated logins;</li>
<li>Length of service (including start date) and types of service utilized;</li>
<li>Telephone or instrument number or other subscriber number or identity, including any temporarily assigned network address; and</li>
<li>Means and source of payment for such service (including any credit card or bank account number)</li>
</ol>
Reade told the Caller that she didn’t “know why” the DOJ requested the information.

“Other than coming forward about Joe Biden, there would be no reason for them to do that,” she told the outlet.
The grand jury was scheduled for July 9, 2020, but Hayden Schottlaender, a Perkins Coie lawyer representing Twitter, didn’t reach out to Reade until December 8, 2020, to tell her about the subpoena.
Reade told the Caller that Schottlaender spoke to her on the phone that day, telling her Twitter tried to fight the subpoena in court but “then had to file a motion” to let her know it “was happening.” Schottlaender followed up that conversation with an email obtained by the Caller.
“To recap our conversations to date, I represent Twitter and have contacted you to inform you that Twitter received the attached subpoena from the United States Department of Justice, seeking data related to your Twitter account(s). The subpoena issues in a sealed proceeding,” Schottlaender wrote in the email.
“As I mentioned, Twitter intends to comply with this subpoena on December 16, 2020, unless it receives notice from you that a motion to quash or otherwise invalidate this subpoena has been filed. If you do file any such motions, please send a copy directly to me at this email address. If, on the other hand, you have no concerns with Twitter producing the requested data, please similarly let me know,” Schottlaender added.
Earlier in 2020, Reade said she had filed a police report in April 2020 alleging Biden sexually assaulted her in 1993 while he was a senator. Reade <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/schow-the-metoo-women-the-democratic-party-doesnt-care-about">reportedly</a> told friends of Biden’s alleged assault that year. Her story has apparently evolved over time, however, from sexual harassment to assault, and her claim that Biden assaulted her in a “side area” somewhere between Biden’s old Senate office and the gym isn’t possible, as no such side area exists in that space.

Speaking to Fox News, Tara Reade — the “former Senate staffer who came forward during the 2020 campaign with a sexual assault allegation against Joe Biden” — described witnessing her alleged attacker taking the oath of office on Inauguration Day as “exceptionally hard.”
“Yesterday was exceptionally hard on many levels, because the media, certain media outlets made it so clear that I was to be smeared, ignored, and erased. And they were pretty successful in doing so,” Reade told <a href="https://www.foxnews.com/politics/tara-reade-biden-inauguration">Fox News</a> on Thursday. “To watch this powerful man who I’ve worked for, who I had admired when I first worked for him and then later became horrified of what he did, to watch him ascend to the most powerful job in the world. I can’t really describe the feeling except I keep wanting to wake up from a nightmare.” 
“The Democratic Party continues to be complicit with sexual misconduct. It will only shine a light on it when it’s a Republican or someone else,&#8221; Reade continued. “And until sexual misconduct is seen as non-partisan, institutionalized rape culture will stay in place and powerful men will continue to be able to get away with crimes. And not only get away with it, but be rewarded with more power.” 
Speaking with <a href="https://dailycaller.com/2021/01/20/tara-reade-joe-biden-inauguration-allegations-sexual-assault/">the Daily Caller</a> on Inauguration Day, Reade said that coming forward was “excruciating on so many levels,” and that Biden “used his power and resources with certain media to erase me and silence me.”
Reade continued, saying that while she believed in progressive policies, it was difficult to watch Biden at the helm.
“I stand in solidarity with all survivors coming up against such power. I will not be silenced,” she said. “Instead of talking about saving the country’s soul, he should be held accountable for his actions. The hard part is I believe in many policies that will move forward as I am a progressive Independent, but it is unspeakably hard to watch the man who assaulted me go to the most powerful position in the land.”
Reade alleged that Biden had sexually assaulted her in 1993 when he was a U.S. senator. She made this accusation in March 2020, and had “previously [come] forward in 2019, along with other women who accused the then-Democratic presidential candidate of inappropriate touching.” Specifically, Reade accused Biden of “kissing her, touching her, and penetrating her with his fingers without her consent.”
Biden and his campaign have repeatedly denied these allegations, with Biden <a href="https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/news/biden-accuser-reade-speaks-out-inauguration">saying</a> that while “women should be believed,” or at least have their cases taken seriously, “the truth” was the only thing that mattered “at the end of the day.”
In April 2019, Kamala Harris — now President Biden’s vice president — said that she <a href="https://thehill.com/homenews/campaign/437107-harris-i-believe-biden-accusers">believed</a> those who had accused Biden of unwanted touching, saying “I believe them and I respect them being able to tell their story and having the courage to do it.”

The violent riot that erupted in the U.S. Capitol last Wednesday necessarily pulled focus away from the fact that Democrats in Georgia elected a man that would have become a #MeToo villain had he not been a Democrat running for office.
With this knowledge, it’s time to look back at the women who have been ignored by the #MeToo movement because their allegations were against prominent Democrats. This is not to say that there are not issues with some of the stories these women have told, but it is illustrative of the reality of the #MeToo movement: It doesn’t actually care about believing women. Some of the men taken down by the movement were actual predators, but as we’ve seen <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/ridiculous-accusations-against-aziz-ansari-ben-shapiro">time</a> <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/he-was-accused-of-sexual-harassment-by-students-who-had-written-him-glowing-professor-reviews-his-new-book-fights-back">and</a> <a href="https://www.newsday.com/opinion/columnists/cathy-young/metoo-junot-diaz-1.19768763">time</a> <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/sideways-director-alexander-payne-strongly-denies-rose-mcgowans-sexual-assault-allegation">again</a>, allegations were weaponized to settle petty grievances. Here are some of the most prominent women whose allegations have been largely ignored because they accused Democrats:
Vanessa Tyson and Meredith Watson
These two women came forward only after it looked like Virginia’s Lt. Gov. Justin Fairfax might step up if Gov. Ralph Northam had resigned following the revelation of him dressing in either blackface or a KKK hood during medical school. When speculation that Northam might resign brought Fairfax into the spotlight, Tyson claimed he sexually assaulted her during the 2004 Democratic National Convention. Fairfax acknowledged the tryst, but said it was consensual. A second woman, Watson, then came forward to claim Fairfax raped her while the two were students at Duke University.
The women didn’t make their claims when Fairfax was running for lieutenant governor, just when he was about to become governor – which didn’t happen.
With Fairfax’s acknowledgement that he at least knew the two women, Tyson and Watson had more evidence in their favor than Christine Blasey Ford, who accused then-Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh of sexually assaulting her while they were both in high school. Ford never presented evidence that she had ever even been in the same room as Kavanaugh, yet her story was shared uncritically and deemed “credible” while Tyson and Watson’s claims were reported and quickly forgotten.
Fairfax has since <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/virginia-lt-gov-files-400-million-lawsuit-against-ashe-schow">filed a lawsuit</a> against CBS News over its coverage of the allegations against him.

Reade is the woman who exposed the #MeToo movement as fraudulent. Suddenly, believing women – the mantra of the movement for years – didn’t actually mean “believe women,” but meant to simply listen to them and then thoroughly investigate their claims before coming to a conclusion. At least, that’s what then-presidential candidate Joe Biden said of Reade’s allegations after he spent a decade decrying due process as anathema to justice for women who claim to be sexual assault victims.
Reade’s story has its own issues, which Politico noted in a piece that would never have been written about a woman accusing a Republican politician (again, remember Kavanaugh). Reade reportedly told friends of Biden’s alleged assault back in 1993, when she worked for him while he was a senator. Her story apparently evolved over time from sexual harassment to assault, and her claim that Biden assaulted her in a “side area” somewhere between Biden’s old Senate office and the senate gym isn’t possible, as no such side area exists in that space. She also apparently inflated her credentials when testifying as an expert witness in two sexual assault cases, for which <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/california-da-investigating-tara-reade-for-false-testimony">she is being investigated</a>.
Had she accused President Donald Trump or any other Republican, such actions to discredit her would not have been taken and her story would still be making headlines.
Jacob Blake’s Alleged Victim:
A woman accused Jacob Blake of sexually assaulting her after breaking into her house. As the New York Post reported:
<blockquote>The victim, who is only identified by her initials in the paperwork, told police she was asleep in bed with one of her children when Blake came into the room around 6 a.m. and allegedly said, “I want my sh-t,” the record states.
She told cops Blake then used his finger to sexually assault her, sniffed it and said, “Smells like you’ve been with other men,” the criminal complaint alleges.
The officer who took her statement said she “had a very difficult time telling him this and cried as she told how the defendant assaulted her.”</blockquote>
Police were attempting to arrest Blake on a warrant stemming from those sexual assault allegations when he resisted arrest. He also at one point had a knife while officers were trying to arrest him.
As The Daily Wire previously <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/breaking-cop-shot-jacob-blake-after-hearing-mothers-desperate-plea-that-blake-had-her-kid-report-says">reported</a>, the police officer who shot Blake seven times while attempting to arrest him said he made the decision to shoot after hearing a mother desperately pleading, “He’s got my kid. He’s got my keys.”
Blake’s shooting prompted an additional round of national riots from people claiming police are racist against black people. While Blake became a hero, the woman he allegedly assaulted was ignored, forced to watch millions lionize her alleged attacker. Blake pleaded guilty to two counts of disorderly conduct in order to get the third-degree sexual assault charge dropped.
Oulèye Ndoye Warnock
Oulèye married Sen. Raphael Warnock in 2016, long before he ran for the U.S. Senate. The couple had two children together but separated in November 2019. In March 2019, Oulèye called the police and said Raphael ran over her foot with his car while they were arguing. Raphael denied the incident happened and there was no evidence of injury to Oulèye’s foot, but <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/a-great-actor-warnocks-wife-told-police-after-incident-that-she-kept-how-he-really-was-under-wraps-for-a-long-time">police bodycam footage</a> revealed that she did call police on her then-husband.
“This man’s running for the United States Senate and all he cares about right now is his reputation.  I work at the mayor’s office and this is a big problem. I’ve been trying to be very quiet about the way he is for the sake of my kids and his reputation … I’ve tried to keep the way that he acts under wraps for a long time and today he crossed the line. So that is what is going on here and he’s a great actor. He is phenomenal at putting on a really good show,” Oulèye says at various points in the footage.
Oulèye’s allegations, like the allegations of the other women on this list, were reported but never brought to the same height as the allegations against Brett Kavanaugh or other #MeToo targets.
Though not a woman, Anthony Washington <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/camper-comes-forward-alleging-abuse-at-warnock-church-camp">also detailed abuse</a> at a church camp that Raphael Warnock oversaw. Washington claimed camp counselors locked him out of his cabin and threw urine on him. Raphael was arrested in 2002 for allegedly obstructing an investigation into child abuse claims against the camp.
Warnock defeated Republican incumbent Kelly Loeffler with 51% of the vote last week.

On Friday, Ami Horowitz released a new video in which he interviews people on the streets of New York City (specifically the East Village) about the #BelieveWomen ideology.
“Believe all women has been the mantra of the Left since the Kavanaugh hearings,” Horowitz states at the beginning of the video. “But do they really believe that?”
The video then jumps among a series of individuals on the street with whom Horowitz is interacting.
“How important is it to believe women?” Horowitz asks a man wearing a dark blue mask.
“I think it’s very important,” the man shoots back.
A man wearing a striped beanie echoes that sentiment, “Very.”
“You believe men, why don’t you believe women? Same thing,” a woman in a purple jacket says.
“Of course we should believe women,” says a woman holding a coffee cup.
“It’s f***ing important,” says another woman.
A woman sporting a yellow mask shares that she had been “sexually assaulted” in high school, but was told to keep quiet because “the guy was the star soccer player &#8230; so nobody would believe me.”
An elderly woman tells Horowitz that it is “absolutely important,” and that nobody believed her. She then tells him that she spent “35 years in jail for killing” the person who abused her. “So I have very strong feelings.”
Immediately after, Horowitz asks the elderly woman about Tara Reade, the woman who has accused presumptive Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden of sexually assaulting her in 1993 when she worked as a Senate staffer.
“Do you believe her?” Horowitz asks.
The woman shoots back: “I think she’s an employee of Trump &#8230; I think she’s despicable.”
Horowitz continues, asking the same people who claimed it was imperative to believe women if they also believed Tara Reade.
“No, no,” says a woman while shaking her head.
The man in the striped beanie replies, “Uh, you never, uh, no, not really.”
“I don’t believe her,” states the woman holding the coffee cup.
“The timing is also very bizarre,” claimes the woman who had previously said that believing women was “f***ing important.”
“With Tara Reade, it just doesn’t seem as credible,” states the man in the dark blue mask, who then claimes that Christine Blasey Ford’s testimony regarding then-Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh was “very credible.”
The woman in the purple jacket responds, “She should have spoken up earlier, and we need Biden.”
When asked to explain “the difference between Tara Reade’s allegations and the allegations of Christine Blasey Ford,” a man wearing a green mask who previously claimed to have a great memory fumbles. “Uh&#8230;” he says, followed by a lengthy pause. “Uh&#8230;you know, I don’t know, but I recall since my memory is so – to specifically say.”
The “f***ing important” woman adds that “Biden’s not going around” talking about how much he likes beer. It “was just frightening to say the least” when Kavanaugh spoke about beer, she says.
Horowitz replies: “He loved beer! That’s crazy!”

A California district attorney has launched an investigation into Joe Biden accuser Tara Reade for potentially lying as an expert witness in court proceedings.
The Monterey County District Attorney’s office confirmed the probe on Tuesday, according to <a href="https://www.politico.com/news/2020/05/26/california-tara-reade-investigation-283592">Politico</a>. Officials are investigating whether Reade, who sat as an expert witness in a pair of sexual assault cases, lied about her qualifications to testify. Reade testified under the name Alexandra McCabe for years.
“We are investigating whether Ms. McCabe gave false testimony under oath,” Monterey County chief assistant district attorney Berkley Brannon told Politico. “We have no database or search engine to use to determine in how many cases she testified … However, that effort is ongoing.”
Reade went public with a decades-old allegation of sexual assault against Biden, the presumptive Democratic nominee for president, in March. Reade <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/woman-accuses-joe-biden-of-sexual-assault">said</a> in an interview with podcaster Katie Halper that Biden had assaulted her in a semi-private area of a gym on Capitol Hill while she was working for the then-Senator in 1993.
“We were alone, and it was the strangest thing. There was no, like, exchange really, he just had me up against the wall,” Reade claimed. “His hands were on me and underneath my clothes. And then he went down my skirt, but then up inside it and he penetrated me with his fingers.”
Biden issued his first statement on the allegation more than a month after the interview on May 1, denying Reade’s allegation completely.
“I want to address allegations by a former staffer that I engaged in misconduct 27 years ago,” Biden said. “They aren’t true. This never happened.”
“While the details of these allegations of sexual harassment and sexual assault are complicated, two things are not complicated,” he continued. “One is that women deserve to be treated with dignity and respect, and when they step forward they should be heard, not silenced. The second is that their stories should be subject to appropriate inquiry and scrutiny.”
Multiple people have said that Reade told them of the alleged assault soon after it happened or within a few years of it happening. Reade’s brother, her former <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/former-neighbor-claims-tara-reade-told-her-about-joe-biden-sexual-assault-in-mid-1990s">neighbor</a>, her ex-husband, and at least one anonymous friend have all said that Reade described the alleged assault to them sometime between when it happened and 1996.
Reade also <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/secretary-of-senate-rejects-biden-request-to-release-docs-on-tara-reade">claims</a> that she filed a complaint with the Senate personnel office, although she says she did not expressly accuse Biden of sexual assault or even harassment in the report. The report or any evidence of its existence has yet to be found.
At least one detail of Reade’s story appears flawed or misremembered. Reade claims that Biden assaulted her in an unspecified “side area” somewhere between Biden’s old Senate office and the gym he frequented at the time.
A review of the area by <a href="https://www.pbs.org/newshour/politics/what-74-former-biden-staffers-think-about-tara-reades-allegations">PBS NewsHour</a> noted that:
<blockquote>The layout of that route and building has not changed. A recent walk through that area showed the subway tunnel contains no out-of-view areas, like an alcove. The remaining portion of the route includes multiple stairwells as well as corridors lined with offices. It is a main thoroughfare for senators and staffers. Some former staffers told the NewsHour that if Biden did assault Reade in any of these places, it would have been a brazen attack in an area with a high risk of being seen.</blockquote>
Reade also changed her story in the months leading up to her accusation of sexual assault. At first, her public story was that Biden had sexually harassed her, which was in line with the stories of others accusing Biden of inappropriate touching and comments.

Joe Biden informed 40 million black Americans that, if they even consider voting to re-elect President Trump, they “ain’t black.” The mainstream media rushed to defend the presumptive Democratic nominee, insisting alternately that the comments <a href="https://www.vox.com/identities/2020/5/25/21269124/biden-black-voters-for-granted" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer" data-saferedirecturl="https://www.google.com/url?q=https://www.vox.com/identities/2020/5/25/21269124/biden-black-voters-for-granted&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1590600569139000&amp;usg=AFQjCNGs26Q2Qp1XwtjSG45-PqWG-6angg">did not matter</a>, were meant as a <a href="https://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/2020/05/22/come-bidens-you-aint-black-comment-was-clearly-joke/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer" data-saferedirecturl="https://www.google.com/url?q=https://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/2020/05/22/come-bidens-you-aint-black-comment-was-clearly-joke/&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1590600569139000&amp;usg=AFQjCNGF_SxzQwuo56T11q0eMADuUsd0yw">joke</a>, and were eclipsed by an <a href="https://www.cnn.com/2020/05/22/us/biden-aint-black-remarks-reaction-blake/index.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer" data-saferedirecturl="https://www.google.com/url?q=https://www.cnn.com/2020/05/22/us/biden-aint-black-remarks-reaction-blake/index.html&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1590600569139000&amp;usg=AFQjCNHv_YZOTdMXTdfPajRaf4G7XRQfuA">overreaction</a>.
Democratic representative Sheila Jackson Lee denied that Biden ever made the comments. Pulitzer Prize-winning New York Times fabulist Hannah Jones defended Joe by distinguishing between being “racially black” and “politically black.”
For the Left, when ideology and reality conflict, ideology must win. So white Joe Biden can revoke black Kanye West’s blackness, and leftists of all races will nod along with the delusion.
While Republicans call Biden a racist, some Democrats are calling him a rapist. Socialist representative Ilhan Omar admitted to the Sunday Times of London, “I do believe Reade,” Biden’s accuser.
Nevertheless, Omar intends to vote for Biden. “Believing survivors is consistent with my values,” Omar insisted. “With that said…I will vote for [Biden] and help him defeat Trump.”
One can’t call the young representative inconsistent. Unlike so many #MeToo hypocrites, Omar really does seem to “believe all women.” She just doesn’t mind voting for their putative rapists if it means defeating a Republican.
Meanwhile, President Trump has revived a decades-old rumor that MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough murdered a young female staffer, who was found dead in his office months after he announced his sudden resignation from Congress.
No evidence suggests that Scarborough murdered the girl, and Trump’s critics are fuming at the insinuation. But Scarborough himself has joked about the rumors, notably on Don Imus’s television show.
More to the point: leftists at the highest levels of government and media have just spent three years baselessly accusing the President of spying for Russia. They accused a whitebread jurist of gang rape. In the face of such one-sided slander, conservatives might be forgiven for failing to muster outrage over Trump’s own wild insinuations against one of his antagonists.
Finally, the New York Times calculated and compiled a list of America’s nearly 100,000 coronavirus victims in a demagogic editorial titled “An Incalculable Loss.” But a quick Google search of the sixth name of the list reveals that 27-year-old Jordan Driver Haynes of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, did not die of COVID. He was murdered, and his body was found in the woods. So much for fact-checking.
The New York Times, which once ran “all the news that’s fit to print,” now publishes all the news that fits the narrative. The Left has a story to tell, reality be damned.

Rose McGowan, one of the first women to accuse disgraced movie mogul Harvey Weinstein of sexual misconduct, has been one of the lone left-leaning voices in Hollywood to continue to draw attention to Tara Reade&#8217;s allegations against presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden – <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/rose-mcgowan-calls-alyssa-milano-a-metoo-fraud-for-supporting-joe-biden-after-sexual-assault-allegation">decrying</a> her fellow &#8220;Me Too&#8221; advocates for their apparent double standard and <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/after-metoo-movement-founder-says-biden-can-still-be-electable-rose-mcgowan-denounces-democratic-party">denouncing</a> the Democratic Party in the process.
In an interview with podcast host Katie Halper in March, Reade said that while she was a member of his staff in 1993, then-Senator Biden pushed her &#8220;up against the wall,&#8221; &#8220;went down my skirt and then up inside it and he penetrated me with his fingers.&#8221; After weeks of silence and amid mounting pressure to address the accusation directly, Biden finally denied it in a statement posted on Medium on May 1, saying the allegations that he “engaged in misconduct 27 years ago” simply “aren’t true” and “never happened.” Many on the left have taken Biden at his word, and some media outlets have since produced pieces questioning Reade&#8217;s credibility.
In a tweet Sunday, McGowan posted a series of questions she says a New York Times reporter sent to Reade which have since sparked outrage and debate online.
&#8220;New York Times ‘journalist’ sent these questions to Joe Biden’s accuser, Tara Reade,&#8221; McGowan wrote along with screenshots of the questions. &#8220;The public needs to see how [Lisa Lerer] and the [New York Times] plan on twisting their minds. Now you can all see their tactics &amp; how far they will go.&#8221;

Among the questions highlighted in McGowan&#8217;s post are multiple Russia-themed questions as well as several questions that appear designed to undermine Reade&#8217;s credibility. A few examples of some of the questions, starting with the ones that turned the most heads:

On Quora, you followed three Russian individuals – Andrey Davydov, Dima Vorobiev, and Alex Korolev. How as it that you came to know of them and follow them?
A lot of people are taking your writings online in Medium posts, etc., as autobiographical memoir – is that correct? Or did you take some creative liberties?
Edward Walker – was your boyfriend, right? I remember you filed a complaint against him in April 2011 because he hit your daughter. But then neighbors told me that you moved to Aptos together and kept the radio show going. So what happened there?
Various landlords said you left them owing money and property in disarray – can you respond to that?
We heard that after your car was repossessed friends sold you their vehicle and let you pay it with a no interest loan but that you struggled to make those payments and they took it back. Is that true?</blockquote>
McGowan&#8217;s post has sparked both backlash against the Times and defense of the questions.
Among those criticizing the Times for the alleged questions is The Intercept&#8217;s Glenn Greenwald (h/t <a href="https://hotair.com/archives/john-s-2/2020/05/25/rose-mcgowan-questions-ny-times-sent-tara-reade/">John Sexton</a>), who tweeted in response: &#8220;This whole thing from the [New York Times] is disgusting but the last questions – involving interrogating Tara Reade about whether she committed the crime of &#8216;following three Russian individuals on Quora&#8217; and demanding an explanation – is just deranged.&#8221;

Others have come to the Times&#8217; defense, maintaining that the questions are legitimate. A few examples:

It’s a he said/she said. So what happens? You investigate the allegation and her character. His character’s been vetted for decades.&#8221;
&#8220;The question are follow ups. Meaning we are catching the conversation in the middle point. So for me to say these are unfair – I would have to see the entire thread. I am often suspicious of someone editing something for me to see and asking for my outrage.&#8221;</blockquote>

Over the weekend, far-left Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) sent shockwaves across the political landscape when she said that she believed Joe Biden accuser Tara Reade. After significant backlash on social media, Omar clarified that she will still be voting for Joe Biden come November.
&#8220;Ms. Omar I am not an admirer,&#8221; a user tweeted at Omar. &#8220;We don’t think -we know- that MAGA and Russia are working to defeat a mod dem. I found the comments irresponsible. You should’ve said: &#8216;I don’t know If Tara Reade is telling the truth and of course, as a surrogate of Bernie’s, I didn’t want Biden.'&#8221;
Omar said in response, &#8220;Believing survivors is consistent with my values. Yes, I endorsed against Biden and I didn’t pick him as our nominee. With that said, in this interview I did on May 6th, we talked about that and quotes aren’t always in context. I will vote for him and help him defeat Trump.”

Speaking with the U.K.’s <a href="https://www.thetimes.co.uk/edition/the-sunday-times-magazine/ilhan-omar-interview-the-us-politician-on-her-new-book-and-refugee-past-sls8vlcrz">Sunday Times</a>, Omar said that justice should not be “denied” regarding Reade’s allegation against Biden. She also allegedly told the interviewer that Biden would not be the nominee if she had the final decision.
“I do believe Reade,” said Omar. “Justice can be delayed, but should never be denied.”
While the mainstream media and other prominent Democrats have tirelessly tried to dismiss Reade as a liar – a treatment far different that Kavanaugh accuser Christine Blasey Ford – other Democrats have flatly stated that they will vote for Joe Biden even though they believe Reade. Author Linda Hirshman <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/nyt-op-ed-electing-biden-is-worth-dismissing-accuser-weakening-the-voices-of-victims-suck-it-up">gave this argument legs </a>in a recent op-ed for The New York Times:
<blockquote>All major Democratic Party figures have indicated they’re not budging on the presumptive nominee, and the transaction costs of replacing him would be suicidal. Barring some miracle, it’s going to be Mr. Biden.
So what is the greatest good or the greatest harm? Mr. Biden, and the Democrats he may carry with him into government, are likely to do more good for women and the nation than his competition, the worst president in the history of the Republic. Compared with the good Mr. Biden can do, the cost of dismissing Tara Reade — and, worse, weakening the voices of future survivors — is worth it.</blockquote>
Earlier this month, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY), a member of the radical “Squad” along with Omar, said that Reade’s allegation against Biden<a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/aoc-tara-reades-claim-against-joe-biden-is-not-clear-cut"> is not “clear cut”</a> while conceding that “something has happened” between the two.
“There have been investigative journalists that have corroborated certain aspects of her account – that is undeniable – [and] have raised questions about other aspects of her account,” Ocasio-Cortez <a href="https://www.npr.org/2020/05/07/851715944/rep-ocasio-cortez-says-biden-sexual-assault-allegation-not-clear-cut">told NPR</a>. “It certainly seems as though something has happened. I’m not sure… Frankly, this is a messy moment, and I think we need to acknowledge that – that it is not clear-cut.”
In March, Reade claimed that then-Senator Joe Biden sexually assaulted her while she served as an aide in his Senate offices during the Clinton administration. She has since detailed her account in multiple interviews and filed a criminal complaint against the former vice president with the Washington, D.C., police department. A former neighbor of Reade and Reade’s brother have both publicly stated that Reade told them of the alleged assault in the 1990s. Recently surfaced evidence also suggests that Reade’s mother called in to CNN’s Larry King in the 1990s to complain about a prominent senator with whom her daughter had “problems.”
Earlier this month, The Associated Press <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/two-new-sources-claim-tara-reade-told-them-about-aspects-of-joe-biden-allegation">reported</a> that two other people, both of whom wished to remain anonymous, said that Reade spoke of Biden’s behavior prior to going public. After Saying She Believes Tara Reade, Ilhan Omar Clarifies: I’m Still Voting For Biden

As most Democratic leaders and members of the mainstream media continue to treat Joe Biden accuser Tara Reade far differently than they did Kavanaugh accuser Christine Blasey Ford, far-left Congresswoman Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) has declared that she believes Reade.
Speaking with the U.K.&#8217;s <a href="https://www.thetimes.co.uk/edition/the-sunday-times-magazine/ilhan-omar-interview-the-us-politician-on-her-new-book-and-refugee-past-sls8vlcrz">Sunday Times</a>, Omar said that justice should not be &#8220;denied&#8221; regarding Reade&#8217;s allegation against Biden.
“I do believe Reade,” said Omar. “Justice can be delayed, but should never be denied.”
Omar also said that Biden would not be the nominee if she were the one making the final decision.
Earlier this month, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY), a member of the radical &#8220;Squad&#8221; along with Omar, said that Tara Reade’s allegation against Biden<a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/aoc-tara-reades-claim-against-joe-biden-is-not-clear-cut"> is not “clear cut”</a> while conceding that &#8220;something has happened&#8221; between the two.
“There have been investigative journalists that have corroborated certain aspects of her account – that is undeniable – [and] have raised questions about other aspects of her account,” Ocasio-Cortez <a href="https://www.npr.org/2020/05/07/851715944/rep-ocasio-cortez-says-biden-sexual-assault-allegation-not-clear-cut">told NPR</a>. “It certainly seems as though something has happened. I’m not sure… Frankly, this is a messy moment, and I think we need to acknowledge that – that it is not clear-cut.”
Ocasio-Cortez added that she does not believe Tara Reade to be a political actor.
“While a lot of folks, again, are trying to jump to the political implications, she has never explicitly said ‘don’t support Joe Biden,’” Ocasio-Cortez said. “She hasn’t explicitly said anything in terms of a political remedy that she wants. If anything, it simply sounds like she wants to be heard.”
However, other prominent Democrats, including the women on Biden&#8217;s shortlist to become his running mate, have either dismissed Reade&#8217;s claims or defended Joe Biden outright. Some progressives, such as author Linda Hirshman, <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/nyt-op-ed-electing-biden-is-worth-dismissing-accuser-weakening-the-voices-of-victims-suck-it-up">have argued </a>people should vote for Joe Biden despite the credibility of Reade&#8217;s claims:

In March, Reade claimed that then-Senator Joe Biden sexually assaulted her while she served as an aide in his Senate offices during the Clinton administration. She has since detailed her account in multiple interviews and filed a criminal complaint against the former vice president with the Washington, D.C., police department. A former neighbor of Reade and Reade’s brother have both publicly stated that Reade told them of the alleged assault in the 1990s. Recently surfaced evidence also suggests that Reade’s mother called in to CNN’s Larry King in the 1990s to complain about a prominent senator with whom her daughter had “problems.”
