Investigators found ammunition inside the .30 caliber bolt action rifle believed to have been used in the Charlie Kirk assassination, with government documents reported on by both <a href="https://www.wsj.com/livecoverage/charlie-kirk-shot/card/ammunition-in-kirk-shooting-engraved-with-transgender-antifascist-ideology-sources-pdymd1sXXMSlVRhpvR4b">The Wall Street Journal</a> and conservative commentator <a href="https://x.com/scrowder/status/1966118431511433267">Steven Crowder</a> saying that unused ammunition was engraved with “transgender and anti-fascist ideology.&#8221;
The Department of Justice did not confirm the reports, telling The Daily Wire that the investigation is still ongoing, with investigators analyzing the suspected assassin&#8217;s rifle and the ammunition.
Crowder said that his team received an email from an Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms officer on Thursday morning with what appeared to be an internal law enforcement message. The Wall Street Journal also reported that it had reviewed an internal law enforcement bulletin that discussed transgender and antifascist ideology on ammunition.
&#8220;All cartridges have engraved wording on them expressing transgender and anti-fascist ideology,&#8221; according to the email that Crowder posted on X. &#8220;An emergency trace has been submitted, and ATF SLC is working leads generated by the trace. The firearm and ammunition have been taken by the FBI for DNA analysis and fingerprint impressions.&#8221;
Kirk was answering an audience question on transgender mass shooters seconds before he was assassinated. It was reported last week that the Department of Justice is considering moves to ban guns for individuals who believe they are transgender.
The reported law enforcement message also stated that the rifle that was recovered is &#8220;an older model imported Mauser .30-06 caliber bolt action rifle,&#8221; adding that it was &#8220;wrapped in a towel in a wooded area near the campus.&#8221; A <a href="https://x.com/nypost/status/1966160408718274982">photo</a> of what officials believe to be the assassin&#8217;s rifle was published by The New York Post.

Robert Bohls, the special agent in charge of the FBI&#8217;s Salt Lake City field office, said at a press conference that authorities believe they have recovered the suspected assassin&#8217;s &#8220;high-powered bolt-action rifle,&#8221; adding that the rifle was found &#8220;in a wooded area.&#8221;
Utah DPS Commissioner Beau Mason added that authorities have &#8220;good video footage&#8221; of the suspected assassin, but they are holding off on releasing the video footage as they &#8220;work through some technologies and ways to identify this individual.&#8221; The suspect is believed to have shot Kirk from a perch on the roof of an adjacent building to where the conservative commentator was speaking in a courtyard on campus. Authorities believe the suspect jumped off the roof and fled off campus and into a neighborhood after the assassination. Mason said the suspected assassin appeared to be &#8220;of college age.&#8221;
The FBI said on Wednesday night that two subjects who were detained and questioned in connection with the assassination were released after &#8220;law enforcement found no current ties to the shooting with either of these individuals.” FBI Director Kash Patel said earlier on Wednesday that the suspected assassin had been taken into custody. He later said, “The subject in custody has been released after an interrogation by law enforcement. Our investigation continues, and we will continue to release information in the interest of transparency.”

The 35-year-old Canadian-American commentator is well known in conservative media for his comic spin on politics and current events. His popular &#8220;Change My Mind” segments, in which he sets up a table on college campuses and other locations to challenge passersby to talk him out of non-progressive opinions on controversial topics, have gone viral numerous times. His show has frequently been on Apple&#8217;s Top 100 <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/podcast">podcasts</a> chart.
“I, Mug Club, am leaving The Blaze,” said Crowder, who praised The Blaze and his colleagues at the company. &#8220;I’ve lost sleep over this for months, because I knew that I wouldn’t be renewing and of course The Blaze knew that I wouldn’t be renewing. But I have no way of reaching you.”

Some of Crowder&#8217;s most memorable &#8220;Change My Mind&#8221; segments have dealt with gender and abortion. No matter the topic, Crowder conducts the interviews with people who hold opposing viewpoints in an effort to encourage respectful and open dialogue, something that has been missing for so long from college campuses. In one viral clip, Crowder helps one person discover he&#8217;s wrong about 1.7% of the population being intersex with just a few clicks on Google.
Crowder invited fans to sign up at <a href="http://mugclubforever.com/">MugClubForever.com</a>, which was back up after what Crowder described as a targeted DDOS attack. Crowder pledged not to inundate fans’ inboxes with spam, but said he would soon notify those who signed up for updates of where his “new home” would be.
Crowder said both he and The Blaze knew their partnership was ending for some time and that it “always weighed heavy” on his heart for people who subscribed and didn’t get a full year’s worth of content. He said the best way for fans to stay in touch, besides signing up on the website, is to follow him on social media and the video platform Rumble.

InfoWars owner and host Alex Jones on Tuesday spoke about his viral interview with Ye, formerly known as Kanye West, in a conversation with conservative comedian and political commentator Steven Crowder.
Crowder said he invited Jones onto his show &#8220;<a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4tHqKdM3GmU" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Louder with Crowder</a>&#8221; to provide some context after his &#8220;bumpy ride&#8221; interviewing Ye — who appeared on Infowars last week and praised Adolf Hitler and the Nazi Party while simultaneously denying that six million Jewish people were killed in the Holocaust.
&#8220;I knew it was a danger,&#8221; Jones told Crowder about bringing Ye on Infowars. &#8220;But I believed it wasn&#8217;t going to happen — I would have much rather had it been a big story, and a coming together, an awakening, and then have a relationship with Ye instead of him blowing up like a sun going supernova, burning himself up.&#8221;
Jones said he brought Ye onto his platform last week to discuss issues on which the rapper and fashion designer would campaign pending a presidential run in 2024.

Ye, however, apparently jumped into his rant right away.
&#8220;He was like a whirlwind,&#8221; Jones said. &#8220;You couldn&#8217;t shut him up. He was going to say what he was going to say.&#8221;
West&#8217;s comments about Hitler follow a series of anti-Semitic remarks he made in recent weeks, which have led to upending many of his business pursuits, Elon Musk suspending his Twitter account, and reaching a divorce settlement with his ex-wife Kim Kardashian where the court ordered him to pay 200,000 a month in child support.
The rapper has also been seen recently with British provocateur Milo Yiannopoulos and Holocaust denier Nick Fuentes, who accompanied Ye as uninvited guests in an apparent ambush orchestrated by Yiannopoulos to an exclusive diner with former President Donald Trump at his Mar-a-Lago home two days before Thanksgiving.
Ye, who has yet to formally announce his bid for U.S. President in 2024, recently parted ways with Yiannopoulos in a &#8220;mutual conclusion&#8221; with the rapper to &#8220;step away from his political team,&#8221; The Daily Beast <a href="https://www.thedailybeast.com/milo-yiannopoulos-allegedly-slaps-ye-with-a-dollar100k-bill-for-campaign-consulting" target="_blank" rel="noopener">reported</a>.
Yiannopoulos, who admitted he was the &#8220;architect&#8221; inviting Fuentes to Ye&#8217;s dinner with Trump, allegedly billed the rapper $116,000 for his work, which led to the fallout between both parties.
Amid all the controversy surrounding Ye, the Infowars host told Crowder he still invited West onto his show to share his &#8220;intellectual side&#8221; before concluding the 21 Grammy award-winning artist was not well-versed in his World War II history.
&#8220;I just think what happened was he decided to go all the way,&#8221; Jones said. &#8220;He decided to try to be as shocking as possible and say screw the world. And then, once he started pressing on the dopamine button of saying the things he said — he just couldn&#8217;t stop. And so it became just the situation of red lining the engine the entire time he was on.&#8221;
Jones referred to Ye as a &#8220;savant&#8221; who wants to be a &#8220;big revolutionary,&#8221; but he and Crowder noted Ye&#8217;s disconnect with his remarks about Hitler and the Nazis.
Ye has spoken openly about his pro-life stance on abortion, which contradicts Hitler&#8217;s views on the right to life, according to both talk show hosts.
Jones claims Hitler adopted the eugenicist views of Planned Parenthood founder Margaret Sanger, who subscribed to Socialist ideologies — like the Nazi Party leader. According to Planned Parenthood&#8217;s <a href="https://www.plannedparenthood.org/about-us/who-we-are/our-history" target="_blank" rel="noopener">website</a>, eugenics is described as an &#8220;inherently racist and ableist ideology that labeled certain people unfit to have children.&#8221;
Crowder and Jones said despite Ye&#8217;s rants on Hitler and Nazism, they don&#8217;t believe the rapper has &#8220;hate in his heart.&#8221;
&#8220;At the end of the day, that&#8217;s not the case,&#8221; Jones said. &#8220;The left has adopted so many of the actual Nazi tactics of control and their whole system of lockdowns,&#8221; referring to the Chinese Communist Party controlling citizens by white medical uniformed members. &#8220;That&#8217;s the real type of ideology that the Nazis were striving for.&#8221;
&#8220;That&#8217;s what I would try to tell [Ye] . . . when he&#8217;s not as manic,&#8221; Jones said.

Conservative comedian <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/steven-crowder" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Steven Crowder</a> is again being censored on <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/youtube" target="_blank" rel="noopener">YouTube</a>, catching a &#8220;hard strike&#8221; and a two-week ban from live-streaming or posting any content leading into the consequential midterm elections.
Crowder has routinely been in the crosshairs of YouTube&#8217;s censorship, often without any real transparency from the Big Tech platform. This time was no different.
YouTube told Crowder his video on Elon Musk taking over Twitter had violated their ambiguous &#8220;harassment, threats, and cyberbullying&#8221; policy without any explanation about what exactly caused the violation.
The Daily Wire reached out to YouTube about the suspension and strike, as well as the company&#8217;s transparency with their creators.
&#8220;We removed content from and issued a strike to the StevenCrowder channel for violating our <a href="https://support.google.com/youtube/answer/2802268?hl=en" target="_blank" rel="noopener" data-saferedirecturl="https://www.google.com/url?q=https://support.google.com/youtube/answer/2802268?hl%3Den&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1667174021907000&amp;usg=AOvVaw04-0q_7aF5638wWMTAXZxW">harassment policy</a>, which prohibits content that graphically sexualizes or degrades an individual,&#8221; YouTube policy communications manager Ivy Choi told The Daily Wire. &#8220;As a result, the StevenCrowder channel is suspended from uploading content to YouTube for two weeks.&#8221;
&#8220;This current strike is on a show in which we discussed the importance of Elon Musk’s affect on Big Tech, and specifically the effect on Big Tech’s undue influence going into mid-terms, putting their thumb on the scales of the election,&#8221; Crowder told The Daily Wire via email on Saturday. &#8220;It was also a show in which I promoted that I would be interviewing a surging (Arizona gubernatorial candidate) Kari Lake next week, right in the lead up to the election.&#8221;
This strike is &#8220;different,&#8221; Crowder told The Daily Wire.
&#8220;Whether the intent was to silence a currently surging GOP gubernatorial candidate or not &#8212; along with burying a story that would shine a light on Big Tech’s ability to do so &#8212; the end result is the same,&#8221; he explained. &#8220;Millions of individual people, likely Arizonans who wanted to hear from Kari Lake, directly will not. Millions of people who wanted to know about Elon Musk’s changes to Twitter, and by proxy, their biased practices, will now not.&#8221;
The conservative emphasized his point, calling these midterms the most important of our lifetimes.
Notably, Crowder&#8217;s influence has continued to grow despite repeated &#8220;strikes&#8221; and censorship from Big Tech platforms. On YouTube, the commentator has generated tens of millions of views this month alone, not including views from other platforms where his content is shared.
On the disruption this suspension will cause to Crowder&#8217;s team, he told The Daily Wire, &#8220;We all know how important momentum and recent views are to YouTube when the algorithms determine which content to showcase. Now, with two weeks off the platform, it will wipe that significant market from being achieved, and take a long time to rebuild our momentum in the sphere of their algorithms.&#8221;
On Instagram, Crowder echoed the same message. &#8220;I’ve been here before, but this one is… very different. YouTube has issued yet ANOTHER hard strike to the channel,&#8221; he told his million-plus followers.
&#8220;Look, we are going into an election season,&#8221; he wrote. &#8220;One where, if the scales of media were balanced, conservative Republicans would win in a landslide! They can’t have that. Make no mistake, there is a reason that these two strikes directly relate to a future governor who has spoken out against big tech, support of a man (Musk) whose purchase and plan for a big tech platform would fundamentally allow more free, and fair media coverage of elections.&#8221;
&#8220;It’s also no coincidence that this happened as we were nearing 100,000,000 plays/downloads within 30 days,&#8221; he wrote. &#8220;It’s not about the number. It’s about YOU choosing truth over their lies.&#8221;
&#8220;So what do we do? Do we roll over and die? Hell no! Starting Monday through November 17th (back on YouTube on November 21st), we will be streaming exclusively on Rumble and of course the extended show on #MugClub as we always do,&#8221; Crowder added. &#8220;Make no mistake, the machine is in full force. YouTube has banned Steven Crowder from the platform for two weeks after Arizona GOP gubernatorial candidate Kari Lake appeared on “Louder with Crowder&#8221; for an interview, according to Crowder&#8217;s team.
Lake had informed Crowder that if elected, she would investigate claims of fraud in the 2020 presidential election. On Wednesday, Crowder posted on Instagram a message from YouTube saying the podcast had been removed for violating the platform&#8217;s misinformation policy. Crowder has since doubled down, saying he will now interview Kari Lake again.

The video also showed Lake’s assertive, proactive approach to the huge illegal immigration problem facing Arizonans as well as her willingness to take on the drug cartels flooding the United States with narcotics.
“We’re in a worse place than I thought. This is about saving America,” Lake asserted to Crowder. “We have a million problems, but if we can’t get our secure border &#8230; then this whole amazing beautiful constitutional republic may be over.”
“It’s all interrelated; we can’t deal with our homeless problem and our drug addiction and all of that until we secure the border,” she declared. “If we keep letting these drugs pour in, we’re never going to be able to deal with it.”
“That’s why my first day, we’re going to call it what it is on the border,” she said bluntly. “It is an invasion; we’re going to issue a declaration of invasion, and we’re taking control of our border. We’re taking it back from the federal government. They have failed us.  We’re putting our National Guard troops on the border and we’re going to stop people from coming across.”
“We’ll finish President Trump’s wall,” she promised. “We’re going to blow up the drug tunnels. We’re not going to just put a little piece of concrete in for them to jackhammer it out and get them functional again. And we’re going after these cartels.”
“We act like it’s impossible to deal with this problem; it’s not impossible if we have the will and the strength to do it. And we will starting in January 2023,” she guaranteed.
Segueing to the problem of the homeless, she continued, “Once we stem the flow of the drugs coming in, then it’s going to be a lot easier to start working with the drug addiction problem.&#8221;
&#8220;We can’t ban ‘urban camping’ as they call it, unless we have enough beds for homeless people in shelters, so we are going to build, almost tent-city style, shelters to get people off the streets and band the ‘urban camping,” she added.
“A lot of times when you’re able to do that, when you’re able to just use on the street, when we make it to where we’re not pushing any of the laws and we’re not coming down on you for that, they will continue to use until they die of an overdose,” she noted. “And I don’t want to see that. So we’re going to get people off the street; we’re going to get them into drug treatment; we’re going to spend money to get them the treatment , the mental health that they need, and we’re going to lift these people up and get them to where they are functioning and contributing members of society.”
Crowder pointed out the leftist policies in Spokane, Seattle and Portland, wondering if the Democrat politicians running the cities ever questioned why their policies weren’t working.
Lake referenced a video of young children getting off at a bus stop in a drug-infested neighborhood, saying, “I would be scared to death if I had to get off at that bus stop as an adult. And all these little ones, they get off, they got their backpacks on, and they’re walking by this every day. The fact that they walk by it, we’ve become numb to it, is really horrifying.”

Conservative comedian and political commentator <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/steven-crowder">Steven Crowder</a> took to the streets of <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/dallas">Dallas</a> to ask Americans how they feel about their country for his newest episode of “Talking With The People” released on Independence Day.
What Crowder heard from the people on the streets suggests that Americans have more pride in their country than what the legacy media portrays.
“I spoke to an eclectic mix of people coming from very different walks in life, but all of them seemed to share one thing in common, so let’s see if you can pick it out. It won’t be too hard to find it,” Crowder told The Daily Wire in a blurb for his new video.

The first couple the conservative comedian talked to, Fate and Laura, told him they “absolutely” have pride in America. “We were homeless for a long time,” Fate told Crowder. “If it wasn’t for the … determination and some of the people out here helping us and giving us this, that, and the other every now and then, man, we would’ve drowned.”
Fate went on to explain how a fellow American blessed them with an opportunity to move to Waterloo, Iowa, where they found work and a life that got them on their feet. Fate’s wife Laura then said the people in Waterloo are “wonderful,” and when Crowder asked about Iowa being a largely white state, Fate, who is black, said the blue-collar workers in places like Waterloo don’t emphasize race.
“Waterloo is a blue-collar city. When it comes to blue-collar, man, sometimes people – they don’t think about anything else, you know what I’m saying, and that’s the way the world should be,” Fate said.
Another woman Crowder briefly chatted with also said she was “absolutely” proud to be an American. “You can walk around, you can do things like this on a Saturday without any worries or any people telling you what to do or where you’re supposed to be,” she said, adding, “You can live and make money how you want.”
“That’s a pretty good answer,” Crowder responded.
Crowder then stopped to talk to a young man who came to the U.S. from South Korea and said his family doesn’t celebrate Independence Day “that much,” explaining that, because his family is Asian, they are not really “in the American spirit.”
Yet, he still told Crowder he was proud to be an American. “America is 100% a great country,” he said. “But then again, of course everyone knows, there’s the highs and the lows.”
Crowder pressed him further, asking if he would say that even though America isn’t perfect, it’s the best country in the world. “That’s a hard one,” the young man responded, saying he isn’t educated enough to give a good answer. “It’s up there though.” He then proceeded to tell Crowder that he “100%” prefers the U.S. over South Korea.
Crowder said his interviews with people on the streets in Dallas are proof that Americans refuse to be as divided as the media and politicians make it seem.
“America is the greatest country in the world, and Americans know it, even if half of their elected representatives in the government are busy trying to tell them to feel otherwise,” Crowder said. “Happy Independence Day! And God Bless America!”

Tech billionaire Elon Musk on Thursday said that the Biden administration&#8217;s reported intent to create a so-called “misinformation governance board” was &#8220;discomforting.&#8221;
&#8220;The government is creating a misinformation governance board,&#8221; comedian and conservative host Steven Crowder tweeted Thursday. &#8220;Who else did something like that? Oh I remember, the Nazi’s. And there’s some data showing some interesting things going on post-[Elon Musk]’s Twitter takeover!&#8221;

About an hour later, Musk replied to another tweet, similarly remarking on the principles of freedom of speech.
&#8220;Mr. [Elon Musk] has invited the world to abuse him verbally on his own property. That’s my definition of a generous and gracious host,&#8221; a tweet said.

President Joe Biden made headlines Wednesday, when reports surfaced about the Department of Homeland Security&#8217;s reportedly incoming “disinformation governance board,” allegedly aiming to counter what the government determines to be false information relating to national security, <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/is-federal-censorship-coming-biden-admin-creating-disinformation-governance-board-report">The Daily Wire</a> reported.
Politico <a href="https://www.politico.com/newsletters/playbook/2022/04/27/fauci-pulls-out-of-whcd-is-biden-next-00028131">reported</a> Wednesday that the agency is creating the board “to coordinate countering misinformation related to homeland security, focused specifically on irregular migration and Russia.”
The Daily Wire noted Nina Jankowicz will reportedly head the new DHS board as executive director, adding that Jankowicz &#8220;was one of the prominent liberals who appeared to believe&#8221; Hunter Biden’s “laptop from hell” was &#8220;Russian disinformation.&#8221;
However, even the mainstream media <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/the-rest-of-the-country-is-starting-to-open-their-eyes-major-outlets-confirm-contents-of-hunters-laptop">concedes</a> that contents of that laptop are real.
Issues concerning free speech have come into focus over the past couple weeks, as Musk moved to strike a deal to buy Twitter, a platform known for having a Left-wing bias.
On Monday, Twitter announced an agreement to be acquired by Musk for $54.20 per share in a deal valued at $44 billion, <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/breaking-twitter-announces-deal-with-elon-musk">The Daily Wire</a> reported.
The SpaceX CEO issued a statement about the agreement, again emphasizing his commitment to free speech principles.
“Free speech is the bedrock of a functioning democracy, and Twitter is the digital town square where matters vital to the future of humanity are debated,” the 50-year-old said. “I also want to make Twitter better than ever by enhancing the product with new features, making the algorithms open source to increase trust, defeating the spam bots, and authenticating all humans. Twitter has tremendous potential – I look forward to working with the company and the community of users to unlock it.”
Many conservatives have already championed Musk acquiring Twitter as a win for free speech. Outkick founder <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/absolutely-monstrous-win-for-free-speech-conservatives-cheer-musk-buying-twitter">Clay Travis</a>, for example, tweeted, “Elon Musk has officially purchased Twitter for $54.20 a share. Absolutely monstrous win for free speech on social media. Feast on the left wing blue check tears as they realize their rigged marketplace of ideas is dying. Glorious.”

Steven Crowder&#8217;s latest video takes a deep dive into the alleged left-wing bias of Wikipedia, the world&#8217;s most popular crowdsourced encyclopedia. While Wikipedia has an article on virtually everything under the sun, Crowder — like many other conservatives — has long suspected that it shields readers from the true set of facts, hiding ones that run contrary to progressive narratives on key social issues.
Rather than speculate, Crowder devised a simple hypothesis and test, aiming to see which edits Wikipedia allows on certain issues and which ones they reject. Crowder took the time to edit articles with factual statements and unbiased sources. He then waited for Wikipedia&#8217;s response, even tallying up whether &#8220;truth&#8221; or Wikipedia won out the day. His latest episode of &#8220;Louder with Crowder&#8221; claims to &#8220;prove&#8221; that Wikipedia is biased. The results seem to show that the truth does not always win out on Wikipedia.
Crowder lumped Wikipedia in with &#8220;Big Tech,&#8221; alleging, &#8220;As it turns out — and this should come as no surprise to anyone who knows even a little bit about how Big Tech operates — Wikipedia is full of bias.&#8221;
&#8220;Time after time, article after article, we decided to go in and add, edit, or clarify information with our own account,&#8221; he added. &#8220;We didn&#8217;t go in and say anything outlandish (as I once decided to do while bored out of my mind). Our team cited sources, provided verifiable information, or simply attempted to remove overtly biased opinions (in some cases, purely personal opinions). Wikipedia did not approve.&#8221;
Crowder&#8217;s team said they made their edits based on what they thought would comply with Wikipedia&#8217;s &#8220;neutrality test,&#8221; adding that the edits avoided opinion, unreliable sources, or sketchy data. Still, Wikipedia shot down their edits each time.
On entries regarding child transgender hormone therapy, the Texas heartbeat abortion law, and even the data regarding anti-Asian history — Wikipedia editors appear to have denied all of Crowder&#8217;s edits — allowing only one side of the argument to come into fruition.
&#8220;If there&#8217;s are things left-wing tech giants don&#8217;t approve of they&#8217;re facts, objective truth, and anything that doesn&#8217;t purposefully toe the party line,&#8221; Crowder claimed. &#8220;The &#8216;reasoning&#8217; provided for negating our edits was ignorant, convoluted, and sometimes completely non-existent! The left need not have good reasons to silence opposing views, though. And if they have reasons at all, they need not explain themselves to you.&#8221;
For example, Crowder was left wondering why Thomas Sowell — a world-renowned economist — was not a reliable source under Wikipedia&#8217;s eyes.
In one entry about minimum wage, Crowder noted that the article was &#8220;extremely biased&#8221; in favor of the liberal persuasion of Paul Krugman. The New York Times economist was listed as an expert, something that Crowder said was not a problem in and of itself. The problem, according to Crowder, was that the column relied solely on Krugman&#8217;s point of view to craft the &#8220;truth&#8221; about minimum wage, which presented the view from only one side of the aisle:
<blockquote>The Wikipedia page obviously favors increasing the minimum wage. Before our edit, this is what it said, &#8216;According to economist Paul Krugman&#8217; — I just threw up in my mouth a little — &#8216;the great preponderance of evidence indicates that there is no negative impact to employment from moderate increases on mimunum wage.&#8217;
Now here&#8217;s the thing, Paul Krugman writes. He&#8217;s an economist. I don&#8217;t know much he&#8217;s helped the economy or run a business but&#8230;there&#8217;s no right-leaning source offering a counter-balancing opinion. If this is going to be the number one research portal in the world, 18 billion page views per month, all we need to see is a counterbalance, which they claim in their own neutrality guidelines, right it&#8217;s supposed to be neutral? </blockquote>
So, in order to make it neutral and balanced, Crowder and his colleague added a quote from Hoover Institute fellow and conservative Sowell. That quote said:
<blockquote>“Unfortunately, the real minimum wage is always zero, regardless of the laws, and that is the wage that many workers receive in the wake of the creation or escalation of a government-mandated minimum wage, because they lose their jobs or fail to find jobs when they enter the labor force. Making it illegal to pay less than a given amount does not make a worker’s productivity worth that amount—and, if it is not, that worker is unlikely to be employed.”</blockquote>
&#8220;It would be hard to dispute the idea that there&#8217;s a more qualified economist in the world today than Thomas Sowell. He&#8217;s certainly up there, all of his peers respect him and he&#8217;s done a lot of work on the minimum wage issue,&#8221; Crowder noted.
Yet, despite his qualifications, the Sowell quote was removed within a day because, according to Wikipedia&#8217;s editors, &#8220;the source was unreliable.&#8221;
Crowder&#8217;s video appears to confirm the co-founder of Wikipedia Larry Sanger&#8217;s belief that Wikipedia was pushing &#8220;propaganda&#8221; because it only was allowing one version of the facts, thereby benefiting the wealthy and powerful.

Conservative host and comedian Steven Crowder was told this week by Big Tech platform YouTube that his channel will be banned for the rest of the year.
Aside from a very general indication that he somehow violated a &#8220;hate speech&#8221; clause, Crowder and his team were not told specifically what triggered the ban.
Here&#8217;s YouTube&#8217;s very general <a href="https://support.google.com/youtube/answer/2801939?hl=en">policy</a> on &#8220;hate speech&#8221;:
Hate speech is not allowed on YouTube. We remove content promoting violence or hatred against individuals or groups based on any of the following attributes:

Announcing their ban this week, <a href="https://www.louderwithcrowder.com">Crowder&#8217;s team</a> criticized YouTube for not informing them of when the &#8220;catchall&#8221; &#8220;hate speech&#8221; policy was supposedly violated, noting that they can&#8217;t read the CEO&#8217;s mind.
&#8220;Somebody gets offended: &#8216;hate speech,'&#8221; the team mocked, adding,  &#8220;How about, if you&#8217;re tying to improve the environment, you help us understand where we went wrong.&#8221;

YouTube Bans Steven Crowder From Platform For Rest Of The Year

YouTube suspended Steven Crowder’s channel for one week on Wednesday, claiming the conservative pundit and comedian violated the platform’s rules against hate speech.
YouTube’s counsel sent an email to Crowder’s attorney, William Richmond, informing him of the strike against Crowder’s account and explaining that a September 30 video uploaded to Crowder’s channel “targets the transgender community in an offensive manner,” according to a copy of the email. YouTube has blocked Crowder from posting videos to his main and auxiliary accounts for one week. The email said in part:
<blockquote>We write again on YouTube’s behalf regarding your client, Steven Crowder. YouTube has repeatedly instructed Mr. Crowder regarding its hate speech policy and warned him against continuing violations of that policy through content he uploaded to YouTube. YouTube specifically warned Mr. Crowder that videos he uploaded showed a pattern of recklessly targeting the LGBTQ+ community for abuse and insults. It warned that further uploading of content that targets, insults, and/or abuses the LGBTQ+ community would result in additional penalties.
On September 30, Mr. Crowder uploaded another video that YouTube has determined continues his prior conduct. The video entitled &#8220;“Special Guest ALEX JONES on &#8216;Great Reset&#8217; &amp; Joe Rogan TRIGGERS Leftists AGAIN!&#8221; contains a segment that targets the transgender community in an offensive manner, for example, by indicating that trans people pose a rape threat to women. Consistent with the recklessness provisions of its hate speech policy, YouTube has removed this video from the service and assessed a strike against the Steven Crowder channel. Per YouTube&#8217;s strikes policy, this results in a one-week upload freeze for the channel. Further violation of YouTube&#8217;s hate speech policy will result in additional penalties.</blockquote>
Crowder’s team is unsure of the exact reason for the strike and has requested time stamps from YouTube on the September 30 video earning the channel another strike. According to Crowder’s <a href="https://www.louderwithcrowder.com/steven-crowder-suspended-you-tube">website</a>: “During the September 30 show, we discussed a news article entitled ‘<a href="https://www.theblaze.com/news/california-female-inmate-pregnant-transgender-policy">Female inmate now pregnant after California pro-trans policy forces women&#8217;s prisons to house biological men despite prisoners&#8217; pleas, warnings: report</a>,’ and there was a short comedy sketch after that. The news article was a report on female prisoners becoming impregnated when they were forced to share cells with biological men.”
YouTube told The Daily Wire in a statement: &#8220;We removed content from and issued a strike to the StevenCrowder channel for violating our hate speech policy, through repeated targeting of the LGBTQ+ community. Hate speech is not allowed on YouTube, and in some cases, we remove content or issue other penalties–such as a strike–when a creator repeatedly targets, insults and abuses a protected group based on attributes such as sexual orientation or gender identity and expression across multiple uploads.&#8221;
Crowder responded on Twitter Wednesday: “A hard strike from YouTube and Wow… this is terrifying. We covered SPECIFIC, documented instances of rape. @YouTube says not allowed. All parents should take note. If you believe in the insane notion of biological sex, you will be silenced.”
YouTube’s latest strike against Crowder is at least the third of this year. In response to YouTube cracking down on his content, Crowder sued the platform in May. As <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/this-is-the-big-one-steven-crowder-sues-youtube-for-banning-views-of-half-the-country">The Daily Wire</a> reported:
<blockquote>“As of last Thursday, May 14, my lawyer Bill Richmond and I have filed a notice of a lawsuit against YouTube and are seeking an injunction to prevent them, to stop them from currently deplatforming us,” Crowder said. “We’ve officially sent a notice of a lawsuit. Very different level – this is the big one, boys and girls.”
Crowder’s account was <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/steven-crowders-youtube-account-locked-demonetized-crowder-hints-action-weve-got-something-for-them">locked</a>, demonetized, and given a strike warning in March for allegedly spreading misinformation about the 2020 election. Crowder denied ever making any false claims on Monday’s show and noted that YouTube’s justification lacked a specific charge against Crowder.
Crowder said the first and second hard strikes against his channel were similarly vague, leaving the host and his attorney guessing at what could have triggered YouTube’s actions. The first strike came over an anniversary video of “15 days to slow the spread.” YouTube <a href="https://www.louderwithcrowder.com/youtube-removes-crowder-video">claimed</a> that Crowder violated its policy against spreading COVID misinformation.</blockquote>

‘This Is Terrifying’: YouTube Suspends Steven Crowder For ‘Hate Speech,’ Covering ‘Transgender Community In An Offensive Manner’

There is a relatively new social phenomenon that has appeared in recent years, fueled in particular by social media and online video platforms: “debate me” culture.
Also known as “debate me bros,” there are various online figures who — often with nefarious intentions — seek out “debate,” both online and in the real world.
The strategy itself is ingenious. If the target of “debate” accepts, then a low-risk opportunity for notoriety is provided with which the “debate me bro” can promote their own ideologies, usually in front of an audience much larger than their own. If the target of “debate” declines, then the “debate me bro” can claim hypothetical victory by repacking such refusal as ideological cowardice on the part of their opponent.
Of course, this tactic ignores the obvious reality that every individual has the right to freedom of association, and there is no God-given right to social interaction — or the platform which someone else has built.
However, its application is hugely effective for those who exist in the arena of attention-seeking stunts. For them, debate is not the goal. It is simply the artificial veil used to hide their hungry desire for notoriety at any cost. 
Such an attempt was on full display as H3H3’s Ethan Klein labeled conservative commentator Steven Crowder a “coward” after Sam Seder crashed Klein’s “debate,” with the host of &#8220;Louder with Crowder&#8221; understandably refusing to engage in a debate following the &#8220;bait and switch.&#8221; After all, would you be expected to continue a date if your partner was replaced half way through the evening?
This obvious — and arguably pathetic — desperation for attention is, unfortunately, an extreme example of what debates have become. Long gone are the days of substantive discussions on actual issues. Instead, a debate is now little more than an opportunity to gain attention for oneself by any means necessary. If this can be achieved without even discussing the supposed “debate issues,” all the better.
This isn’t to say that true debates are now impossible. Long-form discussions between two honest parties acting in good-faith can still happen. However, such events don’t achieve the necessary outcomes for many who exist in the short-term and reactionary world we now occupy.
To understand this reality, we must ask how debates are now judged. For the vast majority of mainstream public debates in recent history, what were the metrics we used to determine the victor? Rather than being a measured assessment of which participant put forward the clearest and most convincing formulation of their ideological position, we view debate “winners” as the person who achieved their “viral” moment, as the person who “owned” their opponent. In other words, the &#8220;winner&#8221; is the person who was able to make their opponent look like the biggest jackass.
While this may seem advantageous for those who seek to climb the ladder of fame through such actions, the inevitable losers are those who still look to the debate platform as a way of allowing “correct” viewpoints to rise above “incorrect” viewpoints.
Until the metrics of our public debates encourage objective and good-faith conversation, as opposed to standing as opportunities for snide and insidious “gotcha” moments, I for one will not be participating.

Following a weeks-long ban from YouTube, conservative Steven Crowder announced Thursday that &#8220;Louder with Crowder&#8221; will be available on Rumble, a video platform that saw rapid growth in 2020 and promises to forgo the censorship conservatives are persistently suffering from Big Tech.
Crowder told viewers during his first YouTube stream in three weeks that videos of the show are now available on <a href="https://rumble.com">Rumble</a>, and in a matter of weeks, he expects the ability to livestream the show from Rumble, as well.
&#8220;We&#8217;ve been assured that we won&#8217;t be censored, we won&#8217;t be throttle [by Rumble],&#8221; Crowder told viewers.

As highlighted by <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/youtube-places-ban-on-steven-crowder-over-makhia-bryant-video-crowder-look-what-youtube-does-allow">The Daily Wire</a> last month, Crowder was hit with a second &#8220;hard strike&#8221; from YouTube, resulting in the temporary ban. He has yet to get clarification or transparency from the platform on what triggered the ban, aside from being told he violated the site&#8217;s harassment, threats, and cyberbullying <a href="https://support.google.com/youtube/answer/2802268?hl=en#zippy=%2Cother-types-of-content-that-violate-this-policy">policy</a>.

When YouTube was asked by Crowder’s legal team what specifically violated their policy from the video, the company <a href="https://www.louderwithcrowder.com/youtube-suspends-lwc-again-applies-second-hard-strike-on-channel">responded</a>:
<blockquote>In particular, this video violated the aspect of the <a href="https://support.google.com/youtube/answer/2802268?hl=en&amp;ref_topic=9282436#zippy=%2Cother-types-of-content-that-violate-this-policy" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">policy</a> that prohibits “content reveling in or mocking the death or serious injury of an identifiable individual.” Accordingly, the video has been removed and a<a href="https://support.google.com/youtube/answer/2802032?hl=en" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer"> strike</a> has been applied to the Steven Crowder channel. This constitutes the second active strike on the Steven Crowder channel and, as a result, uploads are now suspended for two weeks.</blockquote>
If Crowder receives another hard strike from YouTube, he&#8217;ll be permanently banned from the site.
In reaction to the censorship, Crowder announced on May 17 that he&#8217;s suing YouTube over its content moderation practices and policies, which he argued are misapplied to silence conservatives. <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/this-is-the-big-one-steven-crowder-sues-youtube-for-banning-views-of-half-the-country">The Daily Wire</a> reported:
<blockquote>Crowder <a href="https://www.louderwithcrowder.com/steven-crowder-legal-action-youtube">announced</a> the lawsuit on his show, “Louder With Crowder,” on Monday. Crowder and his attorney, Bill Richmond, said that since the start of the year, YouTube has <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/youtube-re-monetizes-steven-crowder-over-a-year-after-it-banned-ads-on-his-content">again</a> demonetized “Lowder With Crowder” videos and issued two hard strikes against the account, both of which resulted in temporary suspensions.</blockquote>
“As of last Thursday, May 14, my lawyer Bill Richmond and I have filed a notice of a lawsuit against YouTube and are seeking an injunction to prevent them, to stop them from currently deplatforming us,” he told viewers. “We’ve officially sent a notice of a lawsuit. Very different level – this is the big one, boys and girls.”
“This really isn’t just about us. We can find ways that we can broadcast to you,” Crowder emphasized. “But this is the world’s most powerful company – arguably, when you look at YouTube, Google, Alphabet – and they make sure that they ghost you where people cannot find, not us, but the point of view.”
