ESPN host Stephen A. Smith said on Sunday that he has &#8220;no choice&#8221; but to consider a run for president.
Smith, who recently <a href="https://www.foxnews.com/media/stephen-a-smith-says-democrats-lost-hints-seriously-considering-presidential-run" target="_blank" rel="noopener">declared</a> the Democrats to be &#8220;lost,&#8221; refused to rule out a future campaign for the White House during an interview on ABC&#8217;s &#8220;This Week&#8221; with anchor Jonathan Karl.
&#8220;I have no choice because I&#8217;ve had elected officials, and I&#8217;m not going to give their names, elected officials coming up to me. I&#8217;ve had folks who are pundits come up to me. I&#8217;ve had folks that got a lot of money, billionaires and others, have talked to me about exploratory committees and things of that nature,&#8221; Smith said. &#8220;I&#8217;m not a politician. I&#8217;ve never had a desire to be a politician. I just signed a contract extension with ESPN. I am very, very happy with my day job.&#8221;
He added later, &#8220;But here’s the reality, people — literally, people have walked up to me, including my own pastor for crying out loud, who has said to me, you don&#8217;t know what God has planned for you. At least show the respect to the people who believe in you, who respect you, who believe that you can make a difference in this country to leave the door open for any possibilities — two to three years down the line. And that&#8217;s what I’ve decided to do.&#8221;
Smith acknowledged that he sees Democrats who &#8220;clearly are more qualified than me.&#8221; Maryland Governor Wes Moore, Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro, and former New York Governor Andrew Cuomo, who resigned from office in 2021 amid controversy but is now <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/andrew-cuomo-launches-bid-to-be-mayor-of-new-york-city" target="_blank" rel="noopener">running</a> to become New York City mayor, all got name-dropped.
&#8220;I would hope somebody else would step up that&#8217;s more qualified than me, but if it has to come down to me, it is something I would consider. Yes, I would, because I don&#8217;t mind the thought of tussling with these folks at all on the left or the right. All of them disgust me to be quite honest with you,&#8221; Smith said.
The ESPN host also responded to Steve Bannon <a href="https://www.yahoo.com/news/trump-going-run-third-term-230023061.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">saying</a> on Bill Maher&#8217;s HBO show, &#8220;Real Time,&#8221; that only Smith or another celebrity would be a cause for concern for him in a prospective 2028 election match-up against Trump, assuming that <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/trump-probably-messing-with-you-about-3rd-term-thune-tells-reporters" target="_blank" rel="noopener">a way around</a> the Constitution&#8217;s 22nd Amendment forbidding a third term can be found.
Bannon is &#8220;trying to be slick because he&#8217;s looking at a non-political individual like myself, looking at me as a populist, but you better be careful what you ask for because some of the stuff that Trump and the Right has been trying to get away with, like circumventing the 22nd Amendment of the Constitution, talking about how there could be a third term,&#8221; Smith said.
He continued, &#8220;Excuse me, be careful what you wish for because if any GOP member, if any Republican supports that, I don&#8217;t want to hear a word out of their mouth ever again about following the Constitution, the Constitution, the Constitution. That&#8217;s what they&#8217;ve been living off for years, and then you&#8217;re talking about circumventing the 22nd Amendment, and you think that&#8217;s cool? No way. That&#8217;s not something that we should stand for.&#8221;

Senator Cory Booker (D-NJ) made it clear on Friday that he was still willing to run cover for an obviously diminished former President Joe Biden — even after a slew of Biden&#8217;s former aides and media personalities have admitted just how compromised he was during his term in the White House.
Just off his record-setting filibuster stunt from earlier in the week, Booker made an appearance on Stephen A. Smith&#8217;s podcast, and he visibly balked when Smith asked what he would say to voters who were reluctant to trust the Democrats who covered up Biden&#8217;s obvious decline in the lead up to the 2024 presidential election.

ESPN host Stephen A. Smith on Tuesday told Daily Wire editor emeritus Ben Shapiro that there was “absolutely nothing” that could get him to change his mind about Derek Chauvin.
Shapiro <a href="https://x.com/realDailyWire/status/1904610435820589375" target="_blank" rel="noopener">joined</a> “The Stephen A. Smith Show” to make his case for pardoning Chauvin, the police officer convicted for killing George Floyd. Earlier this month, Smith<a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/stephen-a-smith-attacks-me" target="_blank" rel="noopener"> suggested</a> Shapiro&#8217;s motives were disingenuous, and that he would not have called for Chauvin to be pardoned if he were black, or if Floyd was Jewish.
But even after Shapiro outlined the evidence for why Chauvin should not have been charged with murder, Smith remained unmoved.
“What would it take for you to change your mind on the case?” Shapiro asked after noting that Floyd had requested to leave the police car and that Chauvin was following protocol in detaining him.

Smith also attempted to argue that Shapiro could not weigh in on the Floyd case because he did not have the “lived experience” of “black folks.”
“What about the argument that when we talk about black folks, you can talk about data all you want to … but the real experiences that we endure from time to time, is not something that you can necessarily calculate,” Smith said. “How seriously do you take those assertions coming from a community whether it’s your own, mine, or anybody else&#8217;s?”

Shapiro admitted it’s true that we can “never fully get into one another&#8217;s shoes,” but said that “when it comes to making public policy then the only sort of gauge that you can have really is the data.”
“When it comes to trying to craft law, for example, making law based on the personal feelings of people’s quote unquote lived experiences, is a bad way to make law that is going to have to be generally applicable.”
Smith agreed and said “Yeah, you make a valid point about policy when you talk about policy. You can’t just go by personal experience. It’s got to be the numbers. It’s got to be the data.”
Shapiro earlier this month launched &#8220;The Case For Derek Chauvin,&#8221; a five-part series diving into the Floyd incident and making the case for Chauvin&#8217;s innocence.
&#8220;The evidence demonstrates that Derek Chauvin did not, in fact, commit the murder of George Floyd,” Shapiro said. “George Floyd was high on fentanyl; he had a significant pre-existing heart condition. George Floyd was saying he could not breathe before he was even out of the car. He was in the car saying he could not breathe.”

Stephen A. Smith Tells Ben Shapiro ‘Absolutely Nothing’ Could Change His Mind About Derek Chauvin

A lot of people have been asking why I’ve focused on the pardon of Derek Chauvin. After all, he&#8217;s convicted on both federal charges as well as state charges.
There are a few reasons. 
The first and most obvious reason is that there is a likelihood he serves less time if the federal charges are relieved because federal inmates can&#8217;t earn good-time credit that reduces sentences. That happens at a much lower rate at the federal level than it happens at the state level. With Chauvin&#8217;s concurrent sentences, he has roughly a 22.5-year sentence on state charges and 21 years on federal charges.
But under Minnesota state sentencing structure, inmates usually serve about two-thirds of their sentence behind bars and one third under supervised release. So he would serve roughly 15 years of the 22.5-year state sentence in actual confinement under the state charges, thus less time in jail.
But the second reason I have focused on pardoning Chauvin is that when someone believed to be not guilty is languishing in prison, that is the time when the President of the United States ought to either commute his sentence or pardon him. 
Chauvin is the perfect example. It is immoral to allow a person whom you believe is innocent to languish in prison just because that person was made into the face of American racism. With no evidence of such a claim, Chauvin was made the face of American racism before his trial. Every media outlet in the country decided he was guilty. 
The governor of Minnesota decided he was guilty. The mayor of Minneapolis decided he was guilty. The presidential candidates on the Left side of the aisle at that time, including Joe Biden, decided he was guilty. Thus, it was necessary for the jury to convict him in order for an entire narrative structure to be created.
That was wrong.

There are many people who object to all of this. One of those people is Steven A. Smith, a loud-mouth on ESPN. When I say loud-mouth, I mean the man does not have a volume that goes below eight on the spinal tap scale. I&#8217;m not sure that there is such a thing as a normal Stephen A. Smith voice, and I say this as a long-time viewer of ESPN. Every time Smith comes on the TV, you have to turn down your volume significantly.
Smith is very angry that I have suggested that Chauvin ought to be pardoned. He <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U5EhE8LcwNU">said</a> on his show, “Would you have taken that position if George Floyd was a Jewish person? A white Jewish person? If a black cop had his knee on a white Jewish person for over nine minutes, Ben Shapiro, would you have called for that individual to be pardoned?” 
First, let&#8217;s start with this: I don&#8217;t know why he believes that it would be important, even in his stupid example, for it to be a “white Jewish person” as opposed to just a Jewish person.
His claim is that I am a tribal identitarian; thus, I would be just fine with the wrongful prosecution of a cop if a Jew died under the knee of that cop — even if the cop was not responsible and the fact patterns were exactly the same — and George Floyd’s name had been Harold Bernstein (or something equivalent), and the cop had been named George Floyd, a black man.
That is intensely stupid. It&#8217;s intensely stupid for a variety of reasons. Why don&#8217;t we begin with the first? This would not have been a national news story if that were the case. The reason this entire story was national news is because of the race of the people involved. In fact, when black people were routinely beating up Orthodox Jews in Brooklyn, it was covered up by the New York Times. It was not a national story. 
The reality is that this was made a national story specifically because the media had a preexisting narrative of race in America, and this fulfilled their narrative, even if the facts didn&#8217;t match.
Second, if, in fact, the facts had matched, and this was a Jewish person who had been arrested for counterfeiting (for passing counterfeit bills), had been high on fentanyl with a preexisting heart condition, and then had died under the knee of a cop, would I have said that the cop was innocent?
Yes, because if the cop is innocent, the cop is innocent. That&#8217;s the way this works.
The race or religion of the pseudo-victim is irrelevant to the question of whether this person was in fact murdered or not.
Stephen A. Smith is one of the deepest racial identitarians in our society. He does it all the time. All the time. He does it when he talks about sports — all the time. If you&#8217;re talking about Nikola Jokić, the greatest basketball center of our generation, he&#8217;ll talk about how Jokić should not be included in conversations for MVP specifically because of his race.
The reason Smith makes these kinds of statements is because he is projecting. He is projecting a racial conversation where none exists. I’m a Boston Celtics fan, so the following example with Smith from just a couple of years ago springs to mind.
Danny Ainge was the chief of basketball operations for the Boston Celtics; then, Brad Stevens was elevated to fill his position. Stevens is a really good president of basketball operations. How do we know this? The Celtics won an NBA championship last year, and he&#8217;s been one of the most successful NBA executives in all the NBA over the course of his tenure.
But Smith was firmly convinced the only reason Stevens was elevated was because of his race, <a href="https://www.reddit.com/r/ESPN/comments/1dk2a26/from_3_years_ago_how_does_anyone_like_or_respect/">saying</a>, “It&#8217;s moments like this where I get on people&#8217;s nerves, particularly white America and the NBA community specifically, because I point out it&#8217;s beautiful to be a white guy. It&#8217;s just beautiful. You know, you&#8217;re a question mark as a coach in some people&#8217;s eyes, including in Boston. But somehow, someway, you’re moving upstairs.”
It’s worth noting that “it&#8217;s beautiful to be a white guy in America” has not precluded Smith from a five-year $100 million contract for ESPN, a failing network with plummeting ratings.
The reason that Smith is exercised over the George Floyd situation is specifically because of a racial narrative that is not predicated on facts. Now, he&#8217;s projecting that onto me as being some sort of racist for suggesting the racial narrative should not predominate. This is the whole reason that Black Lives Matter was such a mistake and failure, because it was racializing of a question that was not, in fact, racial.
This is just more evidence that what I&#8217;m saying about Chauvin is true, that the reason that Chauvin is in prison right now is because he was the wrong race and George Floyd was the wrong race. Because of that, Chauvin is in prison.
Here&#8217;s the dirty little secret: It never would have been a national news story if the races had been reversed, or if both people had been white or both people had been black.
And that means the officer would have been assessed on the facts of the situation rather than the racial narrative that people like Stephen Smith were propagating.

Smith argued that the 2024 election was not so much about President Donald Trump and the Republicans &#8220;winning&#8221; as it was about the Democrats losing because they couldn&#8217;t get a handle on a message that resonated with the American people.
&#8220;It&#8217;s not about him winning. It was an indictment against the Democratic Party and what the Democratic Party was offering the American citizens,&#8221; he said. &#8220;We might sit up here and talk about, hey, you should be a party for the working class, which the Democratic Party was once known for — they&#8217;re not known for that right now. Why? Because their message was catering towards others and towards other issues.&#8221;
&#8220;The forgot about the people that brought them there, that elevated the Democratic Party to what it was over these last few decades. That&#8217;s why they lost. He didn&#8217;t win, the Democrats lost,&#8221; Smith insisted.
&#8220;Let&#8217;s remind people what those issues were,&#8221; Goldberg replied. &#8220;Making sure that families had what they need &#8230; making sure stuff is there. Making sure that the America we all grew up in, where you could come and be whoever you were supposed to be or want to be, you still have that right.&#8221;
&#8220;All these things are the things the Democrats have always said, but now we have a guy who&#8217;s in who says you know, I&#8217;m gonna bring down the price of eggs, but first I&#8217;m gonna cut all these jobs,&#8221; Goldberg continued. &#8220;And I&#8217;m not gonna see why they need to be cut, I&#8217;m just gonna cut them &#8230; that&#8217;s what he&#8217;s doing.&#8221;

&#8220;He&#8217;s been going around with his cronies touting his so-called landslide and blowout win, but he won the popular vote by 1.5%. One of the smallest ever and he won the general election by less than 50%. So what kind of mandate is this?&#8221; Joy Behar began.
Smith, a sports commentator, pushed back, saying that he believed it was a mandate — and he laid out in detail the reasons he felt that way.
&#8220;It is a mandate and I&#8217;m going to explain why — and I don&#8217;t mind the question, but let me be very clear: I&#8217;m not supporter of Trump, I&#8217;m a supporter of truth,&#8221; Smith said. &#8220;And here&#8217;s the facts. The man won every swing state. He increased in terms of his voter turnout in his favor from the standpoint of blacks, Latinos, and young voters. He increased his numbers in that regard from 2020. 89% of the counties shifted to the right! That&#8217;s a mandate!&#8221;
&#8220;We can sit up there and play around all we want to, in 2020 Trump didn&#8217;t win the popular vote,&#8221; Smith continued. &#8220;He didn&#8217;t win the Electoral College vote. As a matter of fact, the Republicans haven&#8217;t won the popular vote if I remember correctly since 2004 — but they did this year. So 20 years after they last won the popular vote, they won the popular vote, they won the Electoral College vote, the man won every swing state &#8230; I don&#8217;t understand how people can look at that and say there&#8217;s no mandate. There&#8217;s a mandate.&#8221;
&#8220;Well, it&#8217;s a different definition of a mandate, I guess,&#8221; Behar protested.
Smith kept going though, arguing that the massive shift to the right was a clear directive for the Democratic Party to &#8220;find a new strategy&#8221; going forward.
As Smith left the set, Jean-Pierre was coming in — and she immediately informed him that she disagreed with his assessment.
&#8220;He won with the smallest margin of the popular vote since the 19th century,&#8221; Jean-Pierre said, brushing aside every argument Smith had made to assert that Trump did not, in fact, have any kind of mandate.

&#8220;Let me tell y’all something, if you’re the Democrats,” Smith said. “That is why Stephen A. Smith is in the news – because y’all don’t have anybody. Who you got? Who you got? Kamala Harris better not run.”
“She better not run. She’s not going to win the presidency in 2028!” he added. “Keep in mind — respect for her. I’m not going to disrespect the former Vice President of the United States. I will never do that, but we gotta be real about something here. When she ran for election on her own, she couldn’t make it to Iowa in 2020.”
“She ultimately positions herself [and] gets the vice presidency,” Smith continued. “They win the election in 2020. Joe Biden is feeling himself after the liberals won the midterms. And instead of being a transitional president like he promised, the man backstabbed the liberal party, and turned around and said, ‘I’m staying.’ They wanted him out.&#8221;
The sports host then turned his ire towards the Democratic party as a whole and said that Trump won because Democrats depended “on the legal system to wipe him out” instead of beating him at the ballot box.
&#8220;One of the reasons I think he won, because he was saying, ‘You can’t beat me! You’re using this to get help because you can&#8217;t beat me on your own!’” Smith said of Trump. &#8220;Who else you got? [House Minority Leader] Hakeem Jeffries?&#8221;
“I personally support Wes Moore, the governor of Maryland, but I don’t know how much of a national figure he is. I already interviewed [Pennsylvania governor] Josh Shapiro,” he added. &#8220;I’m in the news because the Democratic Party is here. Dammit, lower than that. Down to the bottom. They suck right now. Horrible. Because they don’t have a voice. Where the hell is the voice?&#8221;
&#8220;That’s why Stephen A. Smith is a candidate,” Smith continued. “Who the hell told y’all I’d wanna be a Democrat? I have conservative ideas. I believe in free market capitalism. ESPN host <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/stephen-a-smith">Stephen A. Smith</a> admitted he voted for former Vice President Kamala Harris, the Democrat nominee for president in 2024, and said he now feels foolish for doing so.
During Smith’s appearance on “<a href="https://x.com/EricAbbenante/status/1883002908414812428">Real Time with Bill Maher</a>,” he compared former President Barack Obama’s popularity to that of Harris and said, “Obama resonated more because the people chose him to be the Democratic nominee for the presidency of the United States of America as opposed to somebody backdooring their way into the position.”
Smith then called out the other guest on the show, California Democrat Representative Ro Khanna, for being one of the many Democrats who had touted former President Joe Biden’s mental sharpness, the <a href="https://dailycaller.com/2025/01/25/stephen-a-smith-damn-fool-kamala-harris-ro-khanna-bill-maher/">Daily Caller</a> noted.
“I know that you supported Biden, obviously you spoke about his mental acuity and all of that other stuff. But we all saw what we saw,” Smith told Khanna, referencing the disastrous debate over the summer between President Trump and then-President Biden.

“Kamala Harris, who didn’t resonate during the primaries in 2020 — couldn’t even get to Iowa — suddenly is the Democratic nominee,” he added. “And then you all go, and then you roll up at the [Democratic National] Convention in Chicago, and everybody’s like, ‘She’s a rockstar!’ So, it was like, wait a minute, how’d that happen? How’d that happen? I don’t know how that happened.”
“So, you are looking at all those things and you are saying, Yes, I voted for her. A lot of people voted for her. We fell for the okiedokie as they say. You know she did. If you had a primary, the likelihood is that she would have not been the Democrat nominee and you can’t say that about Trump. You can’t.”
The <a href="https://x.com/EricAbbenante/status/1882996909889011785">ESPN host</a> then pointed out that, in the end, the “American people still said ‘He’s [Trump] closer to normal than what we’re seeing on the Left,” despite the fact that he’s been impeached by Congress and convicted in the court system. 
“Why? Because something pertains, when you talk about the transgender community for example, and you talk about issues that pertain to less than one percent of the population, the Democratic party came across as if that was more important than the other issues,&#8221; Smith said.
“Then you turn around and look at the Left and you say &#8216;What promises did you keep?&#8217; What resonated with the voter out there?” he added. “What voter can look at the Democrat party and say &#8216;there&#8217;s a voice for us, somebody who speaks for us, that goes up on Capitol Hill and fights the fights that we want them fighting on our behalf.”
“They [Democrats] didn&#8217;t do that. That&#8217;s why their behinds are home, and that man is back in the White House,” Smith continued, noting that in week one Trump’s already fulfilling campaign promises. “He&#8217;s doing what he said he was going to do.&#8221;

During the latest episode of “First Take,” Smith and cohost NFL Hall of Famer Shannon Sharpe were discussing the New York Giants&#8217; loss to the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday when Sharpe made a quip about how people “might need to fly some more planes overhead.” It was a reference to fans paying to fly a banner over the stadium, demanding that the owner fix the team, as <a href="https://www.mediaite.com/sports/stephen-a-smith-demands-answers-to-drone-sightings-in-the-northeast-i-saw-independence-day-dammit/">Mediaite</a> reported.
“Let me tell you something, these damn drones in New York City,” Smith replied. “The United States government, get it together! Get it together!”

The movie Smith referenced is a 1996 sci-fi thriller — starring Will Smith, Bill Pullman, and Jeff Goldblum — in which a group of extraterrestrials come to earth with the plan to annihilate the entire world.
A description about the movie on <a href="https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0116629/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">IMDb</a> read, “The aliens are coming and their goal is to invade and destroy Earth. Fighting superior technology, mankind&#8217;s best weapon is the will to survive.”
The comments were similar to what others have been saying on social media about the unidentified drones, seen flying primarily over New Jersey, that have alarmed residents and lawmakers as the Department of Homeland Security and the FBI have said little beyond admitting they&#8217;re investigating the phenomena, as <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/unidentified-drones-entered-airspace-over-u-s-navy-weapons-station">The Daily Wire</a> previously reported. 
Fox News host Harris Faulkner recently talked about the drones, taking video and posting it on <a href="https://x.com/HARRISFAULKNER/status/1867697001741140384">X</a>. 
“JUST SAW THE MYSTERY DRONE ACTIVITY FOR MYSELF. Dusk hit moments ago and very large drones flew outside my bedroom windows,” Faulkner’s post read. “My daughter Bella ran to get her cell.”
“There are 6-8 hovering in one area now above the Hudson River,” she added. “Street traffic to the George Washington Bridge is crawling as neighbors stopping to witness this.
She later posted a message from President-elect Donald Trump, who also weighed in on the mysterious flying devices, calling on the government to let the people know what’s going on.
“NOW TRUMP: Incoming President Trump calls for telling American citizens the truth or shoot down the mystery<a href="https://x.com/hashtag/drones?src=hashtag_click"> #drones</a>,” she <a href="https://x.com/HARRISFAULKNER/status/1867706242065412447">added</a> in a second post.
“Mystery drone sightings all over country,” Trump’s post read. “Can this really be happening without our government’s knowledge. I [don’t] think so. Let the public know, and now. Otherwise [shoot] them down! DJT.”

Smith Show</a>,” the host pointed to the IG report, calling it a bombshell that revealed the <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/fbi">FBI</a> had at least 26 informants in D.C., on <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/january-6">January 6</a>, 2021, the day of the U.S. <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/capitol-riot">Capitol riot</a>, including some who committed offenses but are not among the <a href="https://www.justice.gov/usao-dc/capitol-breach-cases">hundreds who have been charged</a> with crimes, as <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/ig-says-fbi-had-dozens-of-informants-in-d-c-on-jan-6-including-in-capitol" target="_blank" rel="noopener">previously reported</a>.

Media personalities Chris Cuomo, Bill O&#8217;Reilly, and Stephen A. Smith slammed the media for ignoring a story <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/doug-emhoff-accused-of-hitting-ex-girlfriend-in-the-face-at-high-profile-event-report">published</a> by the Daily Mail this week that detailed accusations that Vice President Kamala Harris&#8217; husband, Doug Emhoff, struck his girlfriend in the face because he thought she was flirting with another man.
Three friends of the woman, a New York lawyer, told the Daily Mail about the alleged attack in 2012 on the condition that neither they nor the woman, who was only identified as “Jane,” be named out of fear of retaliation.
The report said Emhoff and Jane were in line waiting for a taxi as they were leaving the Cannes Film Festival in France when Jane tipped a valet, hoping to get moved to the front of the line. During the interaction, she allegedly placed her hand on his shoulder, and Emhoff thought that she was hitting on the valet.
He allegedly smacked her across the face so hard that she spun around.
&#8220;If the name were Trump instead of Emhoff in this story, it would be all over the news right now,&#8221; Cuomo said on his NewsNation show.
The reporter who published the explosive story, Josh Boswell, said that the publication would not have published it unless it was &#8220;very credible,&#8221; noting that there were credible contemporaneous accounts of the incident and documents about how the two were traveling to the event together. He added that there was even video footage of them together at the event.
&#8220;If it were Trump or anyone related to him, it would be on every TV show that is on right now,&#8221; Cuomo added. &#8220;And that&#8217;s why I think of the interest of fairness you should look at it.&#8221;

Smith agreed: &#8220;In fairness to Donald Trump, which is not something you hear me or most people say all the time, it is absolutely true if this were him, it would be all over the place. It would be printed. It would be publicized everywhere.&#8221;
&#8220;We also have to take into account 2018 when then-Senator Kamala Harris, obviously, when the whole Brett Kavanaugh situation, when Brett Kavanaugh was obviously running for the Supreme Court &#8230; I remember her wearing all black and saying she was wearing all black, and &#8216;I wore black today in support of all survivors of sexual assault or abuse,'&#8221; Smith continued. &#8220;And it was a hashtag, #BelieveSurvivors, etc, etc. And so when you do something like that, it&#8217;s going to be politicized.&#8221;
O&#8217;Reilly said that left-wing activists and movements like Me Too and Time&#8217;s Up will say nothing about the alleged attack.
&#8220;But if it were a Republican or conservative, they would be denying the person accused of due process, because that&#8217;s what they do, unless it&#8217;s someone on [their] side,&#8221; he said.
Smith agreed, saying that the &#8220;bias&#8221;, &#8220;favoritism&#8221;, and &#8220;lack of neutrality&#8221; in the media was a serious issue.
