The kids are not okay. 
We now have an enormous amount of poll data suggesting that Generation Z has some very serious problems, problems that they didn&#8217;t create for themselves.
These are problems created by generations of bad parenting in the United States of America.
A new NBC News poll shows young people are not fond of the idea of getting married or having babies — and they like socialism.
This is disastrous.
According to the NBC News poll, respondents aged 18 to 29 were asked about 13 different options for their top priorities. For women, the number one priority, the number one priority in life, was having a job or career they found fulfilling. Number two was having enough money to do the things that you want to do. Number three? Achieving financial independence. Number four? Having emotional stability.
And then, if you go all the way down the list, number ten was having children, and number 11 was being married.
This is a massive problem. If young women between the ages of 18 and 29 believe that it is a 10th priority to have kids and an 11th priority to get married, and their number one priority is having a job or a career, that is a gigantic mistake when it comes to the purpose of life.
How about for men?
Number one, having a job or career that you find fulfilling. Number two, having enough money to do the things you want to do. You have to go all the way down to number seven to get to “being married.” And number eight, “having children.”

Any society that does not make its number one focus — not number two, not number three —  getting married and having kids, is a society doomed to failure because that is the priority of any society. You cannot pass your values on to the next generation if there is no next generation. And you can&#8217;t pass your values on to the next generation if you have no values.
The reality is that the central purpose in life comes from the book of Genesis: Leaving your father and mother, marrying a member of the opposite sex, and having kids. 
And that&#8217;s not just because it&#8217;s in the book of Genesis. The book of Genesis has lasted from time immemorial specifically because that happens to be true. Any society that believes yearning for individualistic pursuits — as shown here by the number two priority being having enough money to do the things you want to do — any society that is focused on hedonistic personal fulfillment is a society that is doomed to failure. 
People will stop having kids. People will stop getting married. People will not be happy. And when they are not happy, because it turns out that the fruits of economics are not enough to make you happy, they will turn on the economics themselves, because you cannot fill that family-shaped hole in the heart with cash. 
It is not possible to do it. You can&#8217;t. What gives fulfillment in life to human beings is getting married and having kids. 
I know in our radically individualistic society, we&#8217;re supposed to believe that all forms of familial formation, all forms of sexual behavior, are equally admirable and equally the target of aspiration for society. 
That is wrong and untrue. We should be teaching our kids that it is important to marry a member of the opposite sex, and have kids with those people. 
Will there be people for whom this doesn&#8217;t apply? Sure, because for every rule there are exceptions. But if that is not the societal aspiration, what you end up with is people who are inward-focused. 
That’s because what takes you out of your own emotional narcissism is getting married and having children. 
In my book “Lions and Scavengers,” I talk about this: The word in Hebrew for love is “ahava.” The root of the word “ahava” is “hov,” to give. Thus, giving is at the root of love. 
If you have no one to give yourself to, if you do not have, as it says in the Bible, an “ezer kenegdo,” which means a “helper against him,” it is not good. 
The point is that a woman completes a man and a man completes a woman. And yes, they do need each other, and that is a beautiful thing. And when they come together, they have children. And that is the most beautiful thing. 
Any society that vitiates that purpose and treats that purpose as not only secondary or tertiary, but 10th on the list of priorities, is a society that won’t have kids, and is doomed for unhappiness. 
And then when that unhappiness materializes, people blame the economic system. These two things are connected. There&#8217;s polling data showing that young people, in particular, are warming toward socialism. 
Why? 
The answer is that if you can&#8217;t get what you want in the form of economics, then you tend to blame the economic system. It used to be that so long as you were able to earn for your family, that was the purpose of earning: to be able to buy a house for your family. Not just for you. For your family, to provide a better life for your kids.
But if you separate family and kids from that purpose, no amount of money that you earn will ever be enough to do all the things you want to do, because there are always new things that you want to do. 
I don&#8217;t blame young people for this. I blame their parents. Parents did not hand down the values that they were taught by their parents to their kids.
We now have three generations in American life that have degraded the value of family and childbearing and child-rearing in favor of atomistic individualism that was supposed to provide a libertarian fulfillment.
It’s empty. People are unhappy.
The reality of the world is that it is women, traditionally speaking and biologically speaking, who long to have children. This pretend, nonsense, made-up world in which women are taught that they shouldn’t want to have children is unnatural.
There&#8217;s a reason why every study of rhesus monkeys shows that if you give female rhesus monkeys a truck, they will take the truck and start cradling the truck. The male rhesus monkeys will start hitting each other with it.
Men and women are different. When you tell women they don&#8217;t want the most natural thing for them to want, you get unhappy women. And when men can&#8217;t fulfill their highest purpose because many women don&#8217;t want to fulfill that purpose either, they get angry at women, and they become counterproductive and bad citizens of society.
When you alienate women from their magical superpower, having children, and you tell them that&#8217;s exactly what they shouldn&#8217;t want, that what they actually should want is to be more like men working 2200 billable hours at a law firm, what you&#8217;re going to end up with is an enormous amount of unhappiness.
And that unhappiness stems from women who have been alienated from the central purpose in life, and men who actively would like to form families with women and then fulfill their central purpose in life.

“The image in question was provided by a third-party vendor and was removed immediately upon discovery. We have stringent standards for all listings on our platform. We are conducting a thorough investigation, strengthening our monitoring processes, and will take appropriate action against the vendor in line with our policies,” a Shein rep said in a statement, per <a href="https://www.newsweek.com/luigi-mangione-shein-shirt-listing-viral-2123622">Newsweek</a>.
Shein is a fast fashion retailer known for its massive, constantly updated selection of trendy clothing and accessories at ultra-low prices. It’s extremely popular with younger shoppers, but has faced growing criticism over sustainability, labor practices, and intellectual property issues.
Mangione pleaded “not guilty” to federal murder charges following the December 2024 shooting death of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson. 
According to authorities, Mangione shot Thompson, a father of two young children, in a “premeditated, cold-blooded assassination” as an act of “political violence.”
Thompson was gunned down in Midtown Manhattan on December 4, leading to a five-day manhunt that ended with Mangione’s arrest in Pennsylvania.
Mangione’s alleged targeting of Thompson appears meticulously planned, as The Daily Wire previously <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/luigi-mangione-pleads-not-guilty-as-doj-seeks-death-penalty?author=Nathan+Gay&amp;category=News&amp;elementPosition=undefined&amp;row=0&amp;rowType=Vertical+List&amp;title=Luigi+Mangione+Pleads+Not+Guilty+As+DOJ+Seeks+Death+Penalty">reported</a>. Three 9mm shell casings bearing the words “delay,” “deny,” and “depose” were recovered from the crime scene, which was believed to be a reference to a 2010 book criticizing health insurance industry tactics.
The Department of Justice is seeking the death penalty.
The case has sparked considerable public attention and led to a surprising show of support for Mangione. Democrat Gov. JB Pritzker (IL) signed a bill earlier this month to mandate all state colleges and universities provide students access to the highly controversial abortion pill called mifepristone.
Pritzker said the bill &#8212; and another similarly extreme pro-abortion bill &#8212; are necessary to combat &#8220;anti-choice extremists&#8221; and advance &#8220;health care&#8221; for Illinois residents.
HB3709 &#8220;requires public universities in Illinois to offer students access to contraception and medication abortion on campus, beginning in the 2025-2026 school year,&#8221; a press release from Gov. Pritzker&#8217;s office <a href="https://gov-pritzker-newsroom.prezly.com/gov-pritzker-signs-bills-to-fortify-reproductive-health-care-in-illinois">says</a>.
&#8220;Amending the Public Higher Education Act, HB3709 mandates that state colleges and universities must offer consultation appointments with health care professionals who can provide and dispense contraception and medication abortion to students,&#8221; the press release adds. &#8220;Further, schools with on-campus pharmacies must be able to dispense contraception and the abortion pill to students.&#8221;
The Democrat governor also signed HB3637, which would allow mifepristone for residents, even if the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) deems the pill unsafe.
The bill specifically amends the state’s Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act so &#8220;medication that was previously approved by the FDA whose approval was revoked but is still considered effective by the World Health Organization (WHO), will not be considered in violation of the Act,&#8221; Pritzker&#8217;s office said. &#8220;This means that health care providers will not be violating Illinois law by prescribing drugs that are widely considered safe and effective but have had their FDA approvals revoked for political reasons—as anti-choice political have sought for mifepristone, the drug commonly used in medication abortions.&#8221;

&#8220;As governor, I will ensure that your medical decisions will be your own,&#8221; Pritzker said on August 22, the day he signed the bills. “I’m proud to be taking these steps, but I will not rest on this. Because we know that anti-choice extremists won’t. We will continue to activate and protest and march and deliver until every woman in this state gets the health care she deserves.”
Mifepristone, which is usually followed by misoprostol, aims to end the life of the unborn baby and expel it from the woman’s uterus. However, the drugs sometimes fail to expel all the fetal tissue, which can cause life-threatening complications. The safety of the drug has become a key issue in the fight over abortion and women’s safety.
An <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/abortion-pill-22-times-more-dangerous-than-fda-claimed-new-study-says?author=Mairead+Elordi&amp;category=News&amp;elementPosition=7&amp;row=0&amp;rowType=Vertical+List&amp;title=Abortion+Pill+22+Times+More+Dangerous+Than+FDA+Claimed%2C+New+Study+Says" target="_blank" rel="noopener">analysis</a> released in April found that more than one in 10 women experienced a “serious adverse event” after taking the mifepristone abortion pill in 2023. This can include hemorrhaging, needing a blood transfusion, an emergency room visit, and even deadly conditions like sepsis.
That is about 22 times higher than what the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) listed on its label for the brand Mifeprex in 2023. The FDA <a href="https://www.accessdata.fda.gov/drugsatfda_docs/label/2023/020687Orig1s025Lbl.pdf" target="_blank" rel="noopener">cited</a> clinical studies saying fewer than 0.5% of women suffered “serious adverse reactions” to mifepristone.
Back in June, FDA Commissioner Marty Makary committed to reviewing the pill.
“As the Commissioner of Food and Drugs, I am committed to conducting a review of mifepristone and working with the professional career scientists at the Agency who review this data,” Makary <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/fda-chief-commits-to-full-review-of-abortion-pill" target="_blank" rel="noopener">wrote</a> in a letter to Sen. Josh Hawley (R-MO). “As with all drugs, FDA continues to closely monitor the postmarketing safety data on mifepristone for the medical termination of early pregnancy.”

Medical organizations that have backed irreversible transgender procedures on kids are facing pressure after a transgender-identifying man murdered two children and injured 18 others at a Catholic school in Minnesota on Wednesday.
The shooter who attacked the school was identified as “Robin” Westman, a 23-year-old man who started identifying as female as a minor. Westman, who previously went by Robert, left behind a series of writings that described his regret in identifying as transgender, exhibited a hatred of Christians and Jews, and a desire to kill young kids. He killed himself after spraying bullets into a group of students gathered for a Mass.
Portions of Westman’s journal, which were scribbled in a mix of Russian Cyrillic script and English, were translated by the New York Post and <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/wish-i-never-brain-washed-myself-minnesota-school-shooter-said-he-was-tired-of-being-trans?author=Zach+Jewell&amp;category=News&amp;elementPosition=4&amp;row=0&amp;rowType=Vertical+List&amp;title=‘Wish+I+Never+Brain-Washed+Myself’%3A+Minnesota+School+Shooter+Said+He+Was+‘Tired+Of+Being+Trans’">revealed</a> his dark thoughts as he struggled with his transgender identity.
“I only keep [long hair] because it is pretty much my last shred of being trans. I am tired of being trans, I wish I never brain-washed myself,” Westman reportedly wrote.
In another section of his journal, Westman reportedly wrote, “I don’t want to dress girly all the time but I guess sometimes I really like it. I know I am not a woman but I definitely don’t feel like a man.”
Westman’s journal entries cast doubt on the assertions of many major medical organizations that have claimed that regret rates for those who attempt to change their sex are incredibly low. The footage published this week by Shapiro showed both Mukkamala and Dr. Jesse Krikorian, a transgender-identifying woman offered up as an expert by the American Medical Association, claiming that about just 2% of people regret undergoing transgender procedures. They made those claims in two separate conversations with Michigan Republican state Rep. Brad Paquette.
The 2% regret rate comes from a <a href="https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/33968550/">study</a> that only measured regret after surgery, not the tens of thousands of kids who have been placed on puberty blockers or cross-sex hormones. It also did not measure regret beyond two years after the initial surgery. The study also had an extremely high drop-out rate of almost 40%, making the data practically meaningless.
Shapiro said that Westman’s disturbing journal entries should be shown to leadership of the American Medical Association.
“The AMA must stop endorsing the process of having mentally ill young people meet with woke, affirmation-driven social workers and put on a medical transition path that can never actually change their sex,” Shapiro said on X.
The call was echoed by billionaire Elon Musk, who retweeted Shapiro’s thread and wrote “yes” in response to the post. Musk has told The Daily Wire that he was once &#8220;tricked&#8221; into approving so-called gender-affirming care for his child, and described his son as &#8220;killed by the woke mind virus.&#8221;
Lawmakers are also calling for an end to pushing kids down the transgender pipeline.

“They have been encouraging this type of confusion. This poor young man was tortured. He clearly had serious mental health issues and rather than actually helping him, they were actually exacerbating it,&#8221; he said. &#8220;You look at the sadness of these tortured human beings — because they do have regrets later — and no, we should have never started it. It should not be allowed.&#8221;

After issuing a public statement about the horrific shooting at Annunciation Catholic School in Minneapolis on Wednesday, Minnesota Democratic Lieutenant Governor Peggy Flanagan was slammed for a t-shirt she had previously worn emblazoned with the words “Protect Trans Kids” alongside a dagger graphic.

The shooter in the tragedy, identified as a 23-year-old transgender-identifying male, is the latest in a series of transgender-identifying people who have committed school shootings, including the STEM School Highlands Ranch shooting in 2019 and the Covenant School Shooting in Nashville, Tennessee, in 2023.
Flanagan was absolutely shredded online with comments like these:

As the Daily Wire reported on Wednesday, the state government in Minnesota has been lax in providing funding for security at religious schools.

Two years before a shooter opened fire on students attending daily mass in Minneapolis, the leaders of independent and Catholic schools in Minnesota begged Democrat Governor Tim Walz for help securing their schools, according to a 2023 letter reviewed by The Daily Wire. The letter says there are about 72,000 students in Independent, Catholic, Jewish, Christian and Muslim nonpublic schools within the state of Minnesota. In a TikTok video on Monday, a Michigan Democratic legislator offered to help children access “gender-affirming” care if they contacted her office.
Michigan State Rep. Carrie Rheingans said in the video that she was specifically talking to “trans kids here in Michigan,” adding that life-altering gender procedures are still legal in the state. Wearing a “Protect Trans Kids” sweatshirt, the Michigan Democrat posted the video Monday in response to the University of Michigan’s hospital network <a href="https://michiganadvance.com/2025/08/25/university-of-michigan-health-ends-gender-affirming-care-after-doj-subpoena/">ending</a> gender procedures for minors under pressure from the Department of Justice.
In her video, Rheingans told children that they could still get “care” at other places in Michigan.
“I want you to know, as trans kids here in Michigan, that this care is obviously safe and effective. That’s why it’s been approved and why it’s been used all across the country and continues to be used,” she added. “So if you need to find a new place to get care it is still legal here in Michigan, and reach out to our office, we’ll be able to connect you to what might still be available in our community.”
Rheingans, who represents Ann Arbor, urged children to “please contact our office” and provided contact information.
“We love you. We are really supportive of you as kids, and we want to make sure that you can grow up and thrive here in Michigan,” she added.

The federal government and medical establishment previously pushed gender procedures for children as an effective way to treat gender dysphoria, but the practice has come under intense <a href="https://opa.hhs.gov/sites/default/files/2025-05/gender-dysphoria-report-exec-summary.pdf">scrutiny</a> as new research highlights the dangers of performing life-altering gender surgeries and puberty blockers. A Health and Human Services <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/hhs-releases-damning-review-of-gender-treatments-for-minors-the-risks-cannot-be-ignored">review</a> released earlier this year, shortly after President Donald Trump took office, stated, “These interventions carry risk of significant harms including infertility/sterility, sexual dysfunction, impaired bone density accrual, adverse cognitive impacts, cardiovascular disease and metabolic disorders, psychiatric disorders, surgical complications, and regret.”

Even before Trump stepped into the White House, the federal government was changing its tune on gender procedures for children. Last summer, the Biden administration opposed lowering the age minimums for hormonal treatments, mastectomies, breast augmentations, facial, and genital surgeries, The New York Times <a href="https://www.nytimes.com/2024/06/28/health/transgender-surgery-biden.html">reported</a>.
The Trump administration has threatened to cut federal funding to hospitals that continue to perform gender procedures on children, resulting in many large hospitals such as <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/health-care-puts-stop-to-trans-surgeries-on-kids">Kaiser Permanente</a> and <a href="https://abcnews.go.com/Health/us-hospitals-ending-gender-affirming-care-minors-impact/story?id=124889031">Children’s National Hospital</a> ending the practice.
Michigan Republican state Rep. Brad Paquette, who is leading an effort in the Great Lakes State to protect children from gender procedures, told The Daily Wire that he has a “good relationship” with Rheingans and has discussed the issue with her “pretty extensively.”
“So here in the state of Michigan, one of the unfortunate aspects is my colleagues on the other side of the aisle are completely captured by this ideology, this gender theory,” Paquette said. “So I’m trying to do my best to figure out how to get my colleagues informed as to what these procedures are.”
“She has this mentality that she carries — that the trans activists carry — that there are safe spaces, that you’re an ally or you’re not,” Paquette added. “And this causes an extreme divide among families and in the political arena.”
Rheingans did not respond to a Daily Wire request for comment, but she did address some criticism of her video on social media.
“Horrifying because I told children that I love them. Calm down,” she <a href="https://x.com/RepRheingans/status/1960364046546244058">replied</a> to one post from conservative communicator Steve Guest, who said it was “one of the most horrifying videos that I’ve ever seen posted by a politician.”
“Kids need to see that some grownups love them, and not all are bullies,” she <a href="https://x.com/RepRheingans/status/1960373622473691545">wrote</a> in another post.
Rheingans has made LGBT issues a significant part of her political agenda, saying earlier this year that she was “proud to vote YES to expand Michigan’s civil rights law,” which added sexual orientation and gender identity to the list of protected classes.

After Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy issued a <a href="https://ops.fhwa.dot.gov/memorandum/Governors_Safe_Roads.htm">directive</a> on July 1 ordering all governors to comply with federal standards for “consistent and recognizable traffic control devices including crosswalk and intersection markings, and orderly use of the right‑of‑way that is kept free from distractions,” Florida GOP Governor Ron DeSantis did exactly that, ordering the state to paint over a rainbow-colored crosswalk in Orlando memorializing the 2016 Pulse nightclub shooting, and enraging critics who contended it was an attack on gay rights.
Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer called the removal “callous” and “a cruel political act,” adding, “This crosswalk not only enhanced safety and visibility for the large number of pedestrians visiting the memorial, it also served as a visual reminder of Orlando’s commitment to honor the 49 lives taken.”
State Sen. Carlos Guillermo Smith argued, “They did this in the middle of the night because they were scared of the resistance because they know what they did was wrong.”

ESPN, a global sports media network that has remained woke despite the prevailing zeitgeist having moved away from that perspective, on Thursday put out a problematic post on X celebrating itself, captioned, “All the icons. All the moments. All of @espn. All in one place.”
The problem? The professional athletes pictured in the post — which was later deleted — were heavily dominated by WNBA players, a sport that has low attendance and has to be propped up by the NBA.
Various social media posts counted the number of professional athletes, and the results indicated that ESPN, once again, seemed to be shilling for a woke perspective instead of celebrating the sports that have a genuinely heavy turnout.

The Trump administration announced Thursday that it will be pulling more than $12 million from California over &#8220;gender ideology&#8221; in its sexual education programs.
The Health and Human Services&#8217; (HHS) Administration for Children and Families (ACF) put out a <a href="https://acf.gov/media/press/2025/hhs-defunds-californias-attempt-indoctrinate-children-gender-ideology">press release</a> announcing this move to stop California&#8217;s Personal Responsibility Education Program (PREP) from receiving a massive amount of federal funding over the next few years.
Acting Assistant Secretary of the ACF Andrew Gradison wrote in the press release, &#8220;California&#8217;s refusal to comply with federal law and remove egregious gender ideology from federally funded sex-ed materials is unacceptable.&#8221;
&#8220;Accountability is coming for every state that uses federal funds to teach children delusional gender ideology,&#8221; Gradison said.
According to the <a href="https://www.cdph.ca.gov/Programs/CFH/DMCAH/CA-PREP/Pages/default.aspx">California Department of Public Health</a> (CDPH), the program aims at changing behavior, including delaying sexual activity, increasing condom or contraceptive use for sexually active youth, and reducing the number of sexual partners for youth ages 10-19.
The program receives all of its funding from the Health and Human Services&#8217; ACF and Family and Youth Services Bureau (FYSB).
Gradison appeared on <a href="https://www.foxnews.com/video/6377188148112">&#8220;America&#8217;s Newsroom&#8221;</a> on Thursday to explain the process that went into this decision.
Gradison pointed to materials that promoted the belief that &#8220;boys could be girls and girls could be boys and that the solution, oftentimes, was mutilating their genitals.&#8221;
&#8220;The American people elected President Trump to restore sanity and common sense in this country,&#8221; Gradison said. &#8220;Part of that is removing gender ideology from state sex-ed curriculum.&#8221;
President Trump also threatened federal funding from any state that chooses to disobey the guidance from HHS in a <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/trump-issues-ultimatum-california-schools-must-follow-transgender-policies-or-face-consequences">post</a> to Truth Social on Thursday.
&#8220;Any California school district that doesn&#8217;t adhere to our Transgender policies, will not be funded,&#8221; Trump wrote on Truth Social. &#8220;Thank you for your attention to this matter!&#8221;
This decision to pull all federal funding from California&#8217;s PREP is the product of months of back and forth between the Trump administration and California health officials. The ACF originally requested PREP documents from California in March. In June, it demanded that the state revise its program within 60 days.
California state health officials failed to respond until one day before the deadline, when they denied any medical inaccuracies on the part of the program and said it would not take the recommended corrective measures.
&#8220;In a disturbing and egregious abuse of federal funds, California has been using taxpayer money to teach curricula that could encourage kids to contemplate mutilating their genitals, &#8216;altering their body … through hormone therapy,&#8217; &#8216;adding or removing breast tissue,&#8217; and &#8216;changing their name.&#8217; It instructed teachers to &#8216;remind students that some men are born with female anatomy,'&#8221; HHS said in a Thursday press release of the teachings, <a href="https://www.foxnews.com/politics/kennedys-hhs-terminates-california-sex-ed-grant-after-refuses-drop-radical-gender-lessons">according</a> to Fox News.
Previous grant <a href="https://acf.gov/fysb/grant-funding/state-personal-responsibility-education-program-prep-grantees">funding</a> shows California&#8217;s PREP program received just under $6 million from the federal government in fiscal year 2022.
This is the most recent step that the Trump administration is taking against what the president has called woke programs that affect students and young people. The president recently signed an <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/u-s-olympic-committee-bans-men-in-womens-sports">executive order</a> to keep men out of women&#8217;s sports.
Trump is also currently in a litigation battle against California for continuing to allow transgender-identifying males to compete in female sports. The suit <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/the-president-means-business-trump-admin-sues-california-over-transgender-athlete-policy">argued</a> that California was depriving young girls of athletic opportunities.

&#8220;The Museums throughout Washington, but all over the country are, essentially, the last remaining segment of &#8216;WOKE,'&#8221; Trump declared in a Truth Social post.
&#8220;The Smithsonian is OUT OF CONTROL, where everything discussed is how horrible our country is, how bad slavery was, and how unaccomplished the downtrodden have been — nothing about success, nothing about brightness, nothing about the future,&#8221; he criticized.
Trump said he&#8217;s instructed his attorneys to rid &#8220;wokeness&#8221; from our museums through the &#8220;exact same process that has been done with colleges and universities.&#8221;
&#8220;This country cannot be WOKE, because WOKE IS BROKE,&#8221; the president emphasized. &#8220;We have the &#8216;HOTTEST&#8217; country in the world, and we want people to talk about it, including in our museums.&#8221;

Currently, the Smithsonian often promotes overt ideological content, radical gender ideology, LGBT propaganda, or aggressive reframing of events like the COVID pandemic or the Black Lives Matter movement, <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/trump-moves-to-rid-smithsonian-of-left-wing-spin-highlight-american-history">The Daily Wire</a> reported.
Last week, the Trump administration moved to weed out the left-wing ideology and historical spin from the institution. In a letter dated August 12, Trump officials Lindsey Halligan, Vince Haley, and Russ Vought informed Smithsonian Secretary Lonnie Bunch that the administration will be conducting a “comprehensive internal review of selected Smithsonian museums and exhibitions” in fulfillment of the president’s “Restoring Truth and Sanity to American History&#8221; executive order.

“This initiative aims to ensure alignment with the President’s directive to celebrate American exceptionalism, remove divisive or partisan narratives, and restore confidence in our shared cultural institutions,” the Trump officials told the Smithsonian, noting their review is “rooted in respect for the Smithsonian’s vital mission and its extraordinary contributions” and they want to “support a broader vision of excellence that highlights historically accurate, uplifting, and inclusive portrayals of America’s heritage.”
As Trump posted on Truth Social, his administration has targeted left-wing ideology permeating our colleges and universities, too.
For example, in February, Trump gave schools and universities across the country two weeks to eliminate controversial diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives, or risk losing federal funding. The Department of Education specifically told schools to stop practicing “racial preferences” in admissions, financial aid, hiring, or other areas, the Associated Press <a href="https://apnews.com/article/dei-critical-race-theory-colleges-diversity-db8317ad37931558dd5a396cf5ab3d42">noted</a>.
Trump has also told schools they must comply with sex and gender on the basis of reality, not radical gender theory. In one prominent example, the University of Pennsylvania <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/upenn-agrees-to-strip-medals-from-lia-thomas-as-part-of-sweeping-white-house-deal">agreed to strip trans-identifying male swimmer Lia Thomas of the titles</a> he won on the women’s team.

After a leftist activist berated a transgender-identifying man for mocking a fellow transgender-identifying man boasting about buying bras online, &#8220;Harry Potter&#8221; author J.K. Rowling issued a sharp rejoinder.
The series of incidents began with one of the transgender-identifying men boasting, “I fully intend to attend my bra fit at M&amp;S. I&#8217;m a woman. I&#8217;m a human being. I will not be intimidated by bullies. I stand strong! I stand proud!”

Brianna Wu, also a transgender-identifying man, responded acidly by noting that &#8220;normal trans women&#8221; don&#8217;t publicly discuss things like shopping for undergarments, writing on X:
