Two American women who were held hostage by Hamas are pushing back on claims made by far-left activist <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/shaun-king" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Shaun King</a>, who claimed that he knew them and that he helped negotiate their release.
Judith and Natalie Raanan, residents of Evanston, Illinois, located outside of Chicago, were released by terrorists on Friday. They were in Israel to “celebrate a relative’s 85th birthday and the Jewish holiday season,” according to the Times of Israel.
The Jerusalem Post laid out the timeline of King&#8217;s <a href="https://www.jpost.com/omg/article-769532" target="_blank" rel="noopener">claims</a> about his alleged relationship with those who were released.
Two weeks ago, King claimed that Natalie&#8217;s family contacted him and asked him to help &#8220;find [Natalie Raanan] and bring her to safety.&#8221;
&#8220;Natalie and her family are supporters of mine, protested against police brutality in the United States with me, and have spoken out against injustice in Israel,&#8221; he wrote. &#8220;I believe we have confirmed that she was NOT killed in Israel, but we are just asking for proof of life right now.&#8221;
He claimed that he had the ability to &#8220;confidentially help broker her return.&#8221;
Then, after the two were released, he doubled down on his claims that he knew them and suggested that he helped get them released.
&#8220;As I said last week, Natalie and her family have been supporters of mine and protested police violence in America alongside us,&#8221; he said. &#8220;I am also thankful for the Qatari government for helping to negotiate this. Dozens of us worked frantically behind the scenes to help make this possible. I spoke to Natalie’s family this afternoon and they are anxiously awaiting more updates.&#8221;

According to a translation of a local Israeli news <a href="https://www.mako.co.il/news-military/6361323ddea5a810/Article-e1d6d9f33d25b81027.htm?sCh=31750a2610f26110&amp;pId=173113802" target="_blank" rel="noopener">article</a>, the family appears to have no idea who Shaun King is.
Journalist Yashar Ali posted a translated version of the statement that the family made responding to King&#8217;s claims.
&#8220;Today we came across bizarre posts on the Instagram page of one Shaun King, who turns out to have millions of followers, who claims that our relative Natalie Raanan supports the anti-Israeli messages he uploads to his page,&#8221; the statement began. &#8220;First and foremost, we make it clear that he is lying! Our family does not and did not have anything to do with him, neither directly nor indirectly. Not to him and not to anything he claims to represent.&#8221;
&#8220;Natalie told us that this morning it was the first time in her life that she came across Shaun King&#8217;s name and his posts, after she finally got a phone call after two horrific weeks in captivity in Gaza, and was looking for what was written about her while she was away,&#8221; the family continued. &#8220;Shaun King is trying to catch a ride on the great exposure that her kidnapping received all over the world and in the U.S. in particular, and the most ridiculous thing is that Natalie and her mother Judith are very active in Rabbi Hecht&#8217;s Jewish community in Chicago and in the Chabad house, and if Shaun King knew them or their family he would know that.&#8221;
The family encouraged people to thoroughly check things that they see online before sharing them with other people because many things are false.
&#8220;The damage that the sharing of these lies does is so huge, and the effort of our family and all the families of the abductees should be focused on bringing them home, and not fighting the lies that are being spread like wildfire,&#8221; the statement continued. &#8220;We&#8217;re not done, we&#8217;ve just started. We have 2 more murdered in the family and 8 more family members still kidnapped, and there are over 200 more families in our situation. Now we need the support of all the people of Israel and all the countries of the world to bring everyone home as soon as possible!&#8221;

Black Lives Matter (BLM) activist and New York Times best-selling author Shaun King purchased a $40,000 dog from a California breeder using donor money from his political action committee, according to a report.
Grassroots Law, a non-profit political action committee that King co-founded, paid $40,650 to Potrero Performance Dogs earlier this year, <a class="editor-rtfLink" href="https://www.fec.gov/data/disbursements/?data_type=processed&amp;recipient_name=potrero+dogs&amp;recipient_name=protero+dogs&amp;two_year_transaction_period=2022&amp;min_date=01%2F01%2F2021&amp;max_date=12%2F31%2F2022" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Federal Election Records</a> reveal. The committee elects progressive candidates that would invoke &#8220;systemic change to end oppressive policing, incarceration, and injustice in this country.&#8221;
Payments made to the breeder were labeled as &#8220;contractor services.&#8221; However, The Washington Free Beacon <a class="editor-rtfLink" href="https://freebeacon.com/democrats/pet-project-blm-activist-shaun-king-used-donor-funds-to-buy-40k-thoroughbred-show-dog/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">reports</a> King welcomed Marz, a brown and black-spotted mastiff, as &#8220;a new member of the King family&#8221; on his social media days after he finalized the purchase in February.
The announcement said Marz would provide &#8220;alertness and protection&#8221; for his family.
But according to the <a class="editor-rtfLink" href="https://nypost.com/2022/08/01/activist-shaun-kings-pac-paid-over-40k-for-guard-dog-report/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">New York Post</a>, King returned the dog to the breeder and has since deleted the post or made it private.
Potrero&#8217;s Instagram page showed a picture of Marz at an American Kennel Club winning &#8220;Best in Show,&#8221; adding, &#8220;he&#8217;s got a little too much energy to be a family dog, so he came back.&#8221;
However, Potrero&#8217;s page has since deleted the post or made it private.
Per the Free Beacon, the Kings’ $40,000 dog cost nearly as much as the contributions made by the committee to political candidates since 2021, which totaled around $56,000.
Scott Walter, the president of Capital Research Center, a think tank investigating left-wing groups, told the Free Beacon that King&#8217;s dog expense might not be considered illegal for the PAC.
&#8220;But it shows little respect for King&#8217;s donors,&#8221; Walter said.
Potrero and Grassroots Law did not respond to the Free Beacon&#8217;s requests for comment.
However, King posted a photo on <a href="https://www.instagram.com/p/Cgwuyjdrwrh/?hl=en">Instagram</a> of himself with his family on Tuesday responding to the allegations, saying he worked hard for their privacy, safety, and security.
“But I need you to know this so that you understand why our family not only needs a guard dog at home, but 24/7 security wherever we go,” King said.⁣ “White supremacists and people who’ve meant my family harm have now shown up to our last three homes.”
“Multiple times,” he added.
King said that before he defends his reasoning for the way in which he protects his family, he blames the lack of security on the Tri-state area’s restrictive gun laws, news outlets that have allegedly doxxed his home address, and fake police reports from strangers that allege King abused his children. 
He also claimed⁣ he’s received ⁣hundreds of death threats from civilians, police, military snipers, and white supremacist groups.
⁣“This is what my life has become,” he said. &#8220;⁣I spend more time each day now thinking about how to keep my family safe than I do doing the actually work I’m called to do.&#8221;
⁣“So know this, when you see reports about the money it costs to keep me and my family safe, it’s nowhere near enough,” King added. &#8220;Not at all. Not even close.”⁣
In a separate Instagram <a href="https://www.instagram.com/shaunking/?hl=en">post</a>, King explained why his organization paid for Marz and then later decided to return the dog back to the breeder.
&#8220;Marz was purchased to roam our property and roam our home and even protect us on the road,&#8221; King wrote.
He said Grassroots Law helped purchase Marz because the organization covers all of his security costs.
&#8220;Compared to what 24/7 human security costs, Marz was affordable,&#8221; he added. &#8220;We made sure that the purchase was legal and compliant before making it.”
However, soon after Marz began marking his territory at King&#8217;s residence, the family found he was not a perfect fit for them.
King said Marz was brought back to his previous owners months ago.
The latest headline surrounding King’s finances comes after several other fraudulent activities the BLM activist has been accused of in recent years.
Samira Rice, who lost her 12-year-old son Tamir Rice to a police shooting in 2014, accused King of profiting thousands of dollars by exploiting her son&#8217;s name.
&#8220;Personally I don&#8217;t understand how you sleep at night,&#8221; Rice said on her Instagram, according to <a class="editor-rtfLink" href="https://www.the-sun.com/news/3145096/blm-activist-shaun-king-tamir-rices-mom/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">The U.S. Sun</a>.
&#8220;As a white man acting Black you are a imposter that can not be trusted,&#8221; she added. &#8220;You are a selfish self centered person and God will deal with you White man.&#8221;
<a href="https://www.inquirer.com/politics/philadelphia/district-attorney-larry-krasner-ethics-campaign-finance-real-justice-pac-shaun-king-20211209.html">The Philadelphia Inquirer</a> reported last December that King&#8217;s other political action committee, Real Justice, was ordered to pay $30,000 to the City of Brotherly Love for campaign finance violations during Democrat District Attorney Larry Krasner&#8217;s race.
DeRay Mckesson, a civil rights activist and a former ally of King, has <a class="editor-rtfLink" href="https://medium.com/@deray/on-shaun-king-351bd812318c" target="_blank" rel="noopener">accused</a> the BLM activist of fraud dating back to 2014.
King denied the allegations and underwent a 2019 financial review by a &#8220;team of experts,&#8221; who investigated the $34.5 million he has raised since Black Lives Matter took the stage nearly ten years ago.
&#8220;In short, we find absolutely no evidence that Shaun has ever inappropriately accessed any funds that he has raised,&#8221; the Financial Review Board wrote.
&#8220;We searched, and we asked,&#8221; the board added. &#8220;Not one single family, charity, cause or campaign said Shaun was ever compensated, directly, or indirectly, for his online fundraising.&#8221;

The race-hustler wasn&#8217;t throwing a hissy fit over Tesla founder <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/elon-musk">Elon Musk</a> taking over the social media platform, he claims, but took his account offline because he was receiving &#8220;death threats.&#8221;
King has not posted any screenshots of the alleged death threats.
&#8220;I didn’t delete my account,&#8221; King wrote in a response to conservative Jack Posobiec. &#8220;You literally made that up.&#8221;
&#8220;I was getting death threats and hack attempts from your buddies who stormed the Capitol and had to make it more secure,&#8221; King claimed. &#8220;I’m right here. And you are a a [sic] white supremacist.&#8221;

Twitter on Monday announced an agreement to be acquired by Musk for $54.20 per share in a deal valued at $44 billion, <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/breaking-twitter-announces-deal-with-elon-musk">The Daily Wire</a> reported.
“Under the terms of the agreement, Twitter stockholders will receive $54.20in cash for each share of Twitter common stock that they own upon closing of the proposed transaction,” the platform announced. “The purchase price represents a 38% premium to Twitter’s closing stock price on April 1, 2022, which was the last trading day before Mr. Musk disclosed his approximately 9% stake in Twitter.”

The mother of Tamir Rice unloaded on racial activist <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/shaun-king">Shaun King</a> via social media on Tuesday, criticizing King for apparently fundraising off her son and knocking the activist for being &#8220;a white man acting black.&#8221;
Samaria Rice lost her son Tamir in 2014. The 12-year-old was tragically fatally shot by police when his toy gun, which prosecutors argued was &#8220;<a href="https://abcnews.go.com/US/toy-gun-tamir-rice-holding-prosecutors/story?id=35982086">functionally identical</a>&#8221; to a real gun, was mistaken for an authentic firearm.
&#8220;For anyone that want to know the truth,&#8221; Rice captioned the sharp-tongued post, which is addressed to &#8220;Shaun King.&#8221;
&#8220;Why do you think [it&#8217;s] so important to tell folks we had a conversation? Well we talked and everything that was said was very toxic and uncomfortable for me to hear that you raised additional money and then say you did not want to to (sic) bother me. Personally, I don&#8217;t understand how you sleep at night.&#8221;
&#8220;I never gave you permission to raise nothing,&#8221; she continued. &#8220;Along with the United States, you robbed me for the death of my son.&#8221;

Tamir Rice’s Mother Unloads On Racial Activist Shaun King For Allegedly Fundraising Off Son: ‘A White Man Acting Black’

A series of tweets by Black Lives Matter activist Shaun King threatening to baselessly accuse Kenosha, Wisconsin, police officers of shooting Jacob Blake does not violate Twitter’s rules, the platform said on Wednesday.
“The Tweet you referenced is currently not in violation of the Twitter Rules,” a Twitter spokesperson told The Daily Wire after a reporter directed Twitter to a series of tweets posted by King late Tuesday night. Twitter directed The Daily Wire to the platform’s <a href="https://help.twitter.com/en/rules-and-policies/personal-information">privacy policy</a>.
In the tweet thread, <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/shaun-king-demands-kenosha-pd-reveal-name-of-officer-who-shot-jacob-blake-says-protecting-him-unethical">King demanded that the Kenosha Police Department</a> name the officer responsible for shooting Blake, a black man, on Saturday during an attempted arrest. King, who has 1.1 million followers on Twitter, threatened to start accusing police officers at random of shooting Blake until the department revealed the officer.
Twitter said that King’s tweet did not violate the platform’s rules because simply posting a name is not a violation. A slew of other personal information, such as a social security number, bank information, a home address, government-issued IDs, medical records, and other private and identifying information would be forbidden and considered a violation of the platform’s rules, Twitter said.
Twitter did not immediately respond to a follow-up question regarding the possibility of King following through on his threat, and if those tweets baselessly naming police officers would be flagged as potential misinformation.

King has roughly 1.1 million followers on the platform.
“To the Kenosha Police Department, if you do not name the officer who brutally shot Jacob Blake on Sunday, we will simply begin naming officers from your department who may or may not be him,” King tweeted. “F*** it. Your protection of his identity is unethical. What’s his name?”
King said in a later tweet that one officer apparently wrongly accused of shooting Blake has been taken into protective custody over threats to his life, and presumably similar action would need to be taken to protect the lives of officers baselessly accused by King as the one who shot Blake.
“This is what she says about Kenosha Police Officer Luke Courtier. He’s in protective custody in a hotel because people thought he shot Jacob Blake. POLICE COULD END THIS RIGHT NOW,” King tweeted. “They are deliberately protecting the man who shot Jacob. What’s his name?”</blockquote>
<a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/shaun-king-on-kenosha-riots-im-not-going-to-call-for-peace">King</a> has a history of making false accusations. In April 2019, <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/shaun-king-falsely-linked-white-man-murder-black-amanda-prestigiacomo">King linked Robert Paul Cantrell</a>, who was then being held in jail on robbery charges, to the murder of a 7-year-old black girl, Jazmine Barnes, while calling him a “racist, violent a**hole.” Cantrell later committed suicide in his jail cell after his family received a torrent of hateful messages and death threats allegedly sparked by King’s accusation.

Noted First Amendment attorney Harmeet Dhillon responded on Wednesday to former Bernie Sanders surrogate and activist Shaun King’s threat to name random Kenosha, Wisconsin, police officers until the department named the officer who shot Jacob Blake.
Dhillon, who has represented numerous high-profile clients including former Google software engineer James Damore, announced on Twitter that there were “lawyers on standby” to help any police officer unfairly doxed by King.
“To any police officers falsely named by <a href="https://twitter.com/shaunking">@ShaunKing</a> via his terrorist/extortion threats below, know that lawyers are on standby to help you teach Talcum X a lesson about defamation in court,” Dhillon tweeted.
As The Daily Wire <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/shaun-king-demands-kenosha-pd-reveal-name-of-officer-who-shot-jacob-blake-says-protecting-him-unethical">reported</a> on Wednesday, Shaun King, who introduced Sen. Sanders (I-VT) when he announced his 2020 presidential campaign, demanded the Kenosha Police Department publicly release the name of the officer who shot Jacob Blake. King said he would begin naming random officers in the department if they didn’t comply with his demand.
“To the Kenosha Police Department, if you do not name the officer who brutally shot Jacob Blake on Sunday, we will simply begin naming officers from your department who may or may not be him,” King tweeted. “F*** it. Your protection of his identity is unethical. What’s his name?”
He followed up that tweet by informing his followers that another police officer is “in protective custody in a hotel because people thought he shot Jacob Blake.”
“POLICE COULD END THIS RIGHT NOW. They are deliberately protecting the man who shot Jacob. What’s his name?” King continued.
King’s tweet implied more officers would face this danger if he named them.
In additional tweets, King “asked his followers to try and identify a police officer in an attempt to name the officer involved in Blake’s shooting,” The Daily Wire reported.
Blake was shot multiple times by a police officer after he struggled with officers trying to arrest him. At one point, Blake reached into the driver’s side door of the vehicle over officer objections. Police opened fire after first attempting to use a stun gun on Blake. Blake survived the shooting but is reportedly paralyzed from the waist down.
Kenosha police have said the officer who shot Blake has been suspended while the department investigates the matter.
Riots broke out in Kenosha following the shooting, with businesses such as car dealerships and furniture stores being burned to the ground along with city vehicles. On Tuesday, two people were shot and killed, and another seriously injured.
During one of the earlier nights of riots, King tweeted that he was “not going to call for peace” and would instead call “for a complete dismantling of American policing.”
“Nah. I’m not going to call for peace. We’ve tried peace. For years. Y’all don’t understand that language. We are calling for a complete dismantling of American policing. It’s NOT broken. It was built to work this way. And mayhem is the consequence. You earned it,” King tweeted on Sunday.

In a follow-up post, King called for the destruction of stained glass windows, murals, and other parts of Christian churches and buildings that depict Biblical figures as white.

As noted by <a href="https://www.foxnews.com/media/shaun-king-jesus-christ-statues-white-supremacy">Fox News</a>, many on Twitter pointed out to King that differing cultures depict Biblical figures in ways that resemble their own community. &#8220;<a href="https://www.foxnews.com/category/world/world-regions/africa">Ethiopia</a>, for instance, has depicted Jesus as black for more than 1,500 years,&#8221; the report highlighted. &#8220;Likewise, images of Jesus appearing <a href="https://www.foxnews.com/category/world/world-regions/asia">Asian</a> can be found throughout the Far East.&#8221;
The messaging from King comes on the heels of the nationwide Black Lives Matter protests and riots over alleged institutional racism. The rioting, first sparked by the death of George Floyd, a black man who died after a troubling arrest caught on viral video, quickly led to the destruction of statues for various reasons, including the depicted figures owning slaves.
In 2019, King &#8220;recklessly exploited&#8221; the shooting death of 7-year-old Jazmine Barnes, who was tragically caught in the crossfire, &#8220;to stoke racial fear and hatred,&#8221; wrote Michelle Malkin in a piece for <a href="https://www.nationalreview.com/2019/04/shaun-king-activist-accusations/">National Review</a>. &#8220;The Black Lives Matter activist and columnist for the Intercept immediately pounced — using his huge Twitter platform, followed by 1.1 million people, to cast the incident as a racial hate crime. King splashed a photo of Robert Cantrell, a white man who had been arrested for robbery the same day as the Barnes shooting, all over social media.&#8221; The men allegedly connected to <a href="https://www.cnn.com/2019/01/06/us/texas-jazmine-barnes-shooting-investigation/index.html">Barnes&#8217; death</a> were black.
Aside from King&#8217;s history of false accusations, the activist has lost trust from some on the far-left over his <a href="https://www.thedailybeast.com/shaun-king-keeps-raising-money-and-questions-about-where-it-goes-3">less-than-transparent</a> money raising endeavors and for past reports that King allegedly lied about being black, himself.
“I have been told for most of my life that the white man on my birth certificate is not my biological father and that my actual biological father is a light-skinned black man,&#8221; King <a href="http://www.dailykos.com/stories/2015/08/20/1413881/-Race-love-hate-and-me-A-distinctly-American-story">said</a> back in 2015, addressing the controversy. &#8220;My mother and I have discussed her affair. She was a young woman in a bad relationship and I have no judgment.&#8221;
Most recently, the activist used his fame and massive social media platform to become a surrogate for democratic socialist Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT), including opening a Brooklyn rally for senator last year.

In a tweet on Friday, the activist scolded those who tell black Americans to affect change through voting, asserting that such blind thinking may not exactly be the panacea people are talking about.
&#8220;STOP generically telling us to VOTE in response to all of the police brutality we have right now,&#8221; said King. &#8220;Yes we should vote. But we have to be VERY specific. Democrats, from top to bottom, are running the cities with the worst police brutality in America right now. We voted for them.&#8221;

Shaun King has yet to delete his tweet, even though Republicans have rightly been using it to point out what they have known for years: every institution that black Americans have the most issue with – Hollywood, law enforcement, the justice system – are predominantly run by Democrats.

On Friday, Covington Catholic High School student Nick Sandmann returned to the March for Life, one year after the media viciously smeared him and his peers following the pro-life event.

Following the march in 2019, Sandmann and his classmates were harassed and called racially-charged names by Black Hebrew Israelite activists while waiting for their bus back to Kentucky. Native American activist Nathan Phillips then confronted Sandmann, who tried to deescalate the situation. In an out-of-context clip that quickly went viral, however, the media claimed it was Sandmann who was harassing Phillips.
&#8220;Rather than being the harassers, the boys were harassed by radical racial activist group Black Hebrew Israelites, which has been designated a &#8216;<a href="https://www.cincinnati.com/story/news/2019/01/21/black-hebrew-israelites-believe-african-americans-gods-chosen-people/2636154002/">hate group</a>&#8216; by the left-wing Southern Poverty Law Center, who hurled racist and homophobic insults at the students,&#8221; <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/watch-heres-nbcs-interview-covington-catholics-james-barrett">The Daily Wire</a> reported last January. &#8220;After hysterical critics called for the doxxing of the boys, some even encouraging violence against them, Sandmann issued a lengthy <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/42423/read-it-teen-center-covington-catholic-hs-amanda-prestigiacomo">account of the incident</a> that aligns far more with the full video footage than Phillips’ widely reported account.&#8221;

On Saturday morning, a far-left armed Antifa terrorist was shot dead by police during an attack on an immigration detention center in Tacoma, Washington.
The terrorist, whom The Daily Wire will not name, was lionized and celebrated by Antifa and high profile left-wingers, such as racial activist Shaun King. On Wednesday, Antifa members also reportedly held a memorial for their “fallen comrade.”
An “Occupy ICE” Twitter account tweeted out the memorial information on Monday regarding a service set for Wednesday, as first <a href="https://bluntforcetruth.com/news/shock-portland-antifa-holds-memorial-for-ice-firebomb-terrorist/">highlighted</a> by Big League Politics.
“Stand with us to honor our fallen comrade, [name], this Wednesday, 8:30pm,” the tweet said, adding the address of an ICE facility in Portland.
“Seattle Antifa Action has posted a eulogy &amp; the ICE firebomber&#8217;s alleged manifesto on its Facebook page that was sent to friends before the attack,” journalist Andy Ngo reported on Sunday, posting a screenshot of the Facebook post in question. “In it, he allegedly wrote: ‘I am antifa, I stand with comrades around the world,’” he added.
“When our good friend and comrade [name] took a stand against the fascist detention center in Tacoma, he became a martyr who gave his life to the struggle against fascism,” Seattle Antifascist Action&#8217;s post said. “He was kind and deeply loved by many communities; we cannot let his death go unanswered. Throughout history we idolize figures like John Brown for their courage to take the ultimate stand against oppression, and today we stand strong in our support for yet another martyr in the struggle against fascism.”
“May his death serve as a call to protest and direct action,” the post concluded.
Ngo also noted that CNN recently ran a documentary about the Antifa militia that the attacker belonged to; the terrorist is actually shown about four seconds into the doc’s promo.
As <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/49531/blms-shaun-king-quietly-deletes-outrageous-tweets-amanda-prestigiacomo">reported</a> by The Daily Wire earlier this week, King, a Black Lives Matter leader, celebrated the attacker as a “martyr” and encouraged future attacks on ICE in tweets he would later quietly delete.
“[Name] just became the first martyr attempting to liberate imprisoned refugees from a for-profit detention center in Tacoma, Washington,” posted King in his first now-<a href="https://twitter.com/shaunking/status/1150762544233140225?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">deleted</a> tweet. “His hero was John Brown – the white abolitionist who led the raid on Harpers Ferry in 1859. This is what our country has come to.”
“We are told that this is the final letter of [name] – who was shot and killed by law enforcement as he attempted an attack on a for-profit refugee detention center in Tacoma, Washington,” King wrote. “It’s a beautiful, painful, devastating letter.”
“His actions will be called terrorism,” King said of the terrorist, “and people will call him crazy, but neither are true. His mind was very clear. He is now ‘arm in arm with John Brown.’ These camps must be shut down.”
The Department of Homeland Security classified left-wing Antifa as “domestic terrorists,” POLITICO <a href="https://www.politico.com/story/2017/09/01/antifa-charlottesville-violence-fbi-242235">reported</a> in 2017:
<blockquote>Federal authorities have been warning state and local officials since early 2016 that leftist extremists known as &#8220;antifa&#8221; had become increasingly confrontational and dangerous, so much so that the Department of Homeland Security formally classified their activities as &#8220;domestic terrorist violence,&#8221; according to interviews and confidential law enforcement documents obtained by POLITICO. </blockquote>

On Monday, Black Lives Matter leader Shaun King praised a self-identified far-left Antifa member who tried to attack an immigration detention center in Tacoma, Washington over the weekend. King lionized the armed attacker, whom The Daily Wire will not name, as “the first martyr attempting to liberate imprisoned refugees” in a series of tweets the activist has since quietly deleted.
“[Name] just became the first martyr attempting to liberate imprisoned refugees from a for-profit detention center in Tacoma, Washington,” posted King in his first now-<a href="https://twitter.com/shaunking/status/1150762544233140225?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">deleted</a> tweet. “His hero was John Brown -the white abolitionist who led the raid on Harpers Ferry in 1859. This is what our country has come to.”
Of the would-be terrorist’s “manifesto,” King praised it as “a beautiful, painful, devastating letter.”
“We are told that this is the final letter of [name] – who was shot and killed by law enforcement as he attempted an attack on a for-profit refugee detention center in Tacoma, Washington,” he wrote. “It’s a beautiful, painful, devastating letter.”
King also noted that the man “wasn’t crazy,” but “inaction is,” seemingly suggesting that others attack detention centers.
This tweet was <a href="https://twitter.com/shaunking/status/1150764744292388864?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">deleted</a>, too.
In the activist’s final tweet which was also soon <a href="https://twitter.com/shaunking/status/1150769126777995266?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">deleted</a>, King said, “This is where [name] was murdered this weekend. His actions will be called terrorism and people will call him crazy, but neither are true. His mind was very clear. He is now ‘arm in arm with John Brown.’ These camps must be shut down.”
According to a <a href="https://www.nytimes.com/2019/07/13/us/tacoma-detention-center-shooting.html">report</a> from The New York Times, a statement from authorities said the attacker was armed with a rifle and was “throwing unspecified ‘incendiary devices’ at the Northwest Detention Center.”
“One car was fully engulfed in flames,” said the Tacoma Police Department’s Officer Loretta Cool.
The attacker “attempted and failed to ignite a commercial-sized propane tank attached to the center, said Shawn Fallah, the resident agent in charge of the ICE Office of Professional Responsibility,” the Times noted.
“This could have resulted in the mass murder of staff and detainees housed at the facility,” Fallah said. “These are the kinds of incidents that keep you up at night.”
King has a habit of firing-off unsavory or patently false tweets on his massive Twitter platform and then later deleting them. In April, the noted race hustler wrongly connected a white man to the tragic murder of seven-year-old Jazmine Barnes, who is black. King claimed racial malice, of course, and the family of the man King wrongly connected to the killing was immediately flooded with threats. The Daily Wire <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/41978/family-man-shaun-king-wrongfully-connected-jazmine-emily-zanotti">reported</a> at the time:

But the man arrested for killing the child is a 20-year-old black male, as <a href="https://www.cnn.com/2019/01/07/us/jazmine-barnes-shooting-differing-accounts/index.html">noted</a> by CNN.
