A few years ago, a group of researchers and academics embarked on a bold experiment. They wanted to answer the following question: “Is it possible that people with no Ph.D. in any field could write a paper in that field every two weeks and get it published?”
In other words, they wanted to know whether they could write complete gibberish, and still have it published in a prestigious, peer-reviewed academic publication.
What they found was that, indeed, it is quite possible. In fact, it&#8217;s very easy.
For example, the researchers wrote one published <a href="https://newdiscourses.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/HootersPublished.pdf" target="_blank" rel="noopener">paper</a> that explored the conundrum of why straight men might like to eat at Hooters. The paper delved into a fake two-year study concerning a &#8220;thematic analysis of table dialogue&#8221; at Hooters, as well as the concept of &#8220;breastaurant masculinity.&#8221; Yes, &#8220;breastaurant masculinity.&#8221; They use the term about ten times in the paper, and apparently, every time, the editors loved it.
Another hoax paper discussed &#8220;rape culture and queer performativity&#8221; at dog parks in Portland. That one sailed past the editors as well. But maybe the hoaxers&#8217; most impressive work was their article entitled &#8220;Our Struggle Is My Struggle,&#8221; which lifted passages from “Mein Kampf” and placed them in a feminist journal of social work, totally undetected.
The whole exercise was pretty entertaining. And of course it proved its point, which is that peer-reviewed publications will publish anything that sounds like something a Left-wing intellectual would write. And then the experiment ended, and the hoaxers went about their normal lives.
Or at least, that&#8217;s the official story. A <a href="https://link.springer.com/article/10.1007/s10806-024-09934-0" target="_blank" rel="noopener">paper</a> that was just published in the peer-reviewed journal &#8220;Springer Nature,&#8221; out of Germany, has a lot of people questioning whether yet another hoax may be unfolding in the world of academia. To be clear — for reasons I&#8217;ll outline in a moment — it doesn&#8217;t look like a hoax. But a lot of people are hoping it is, because the alternative is just too depressing to contemplate.

A Ph.D. named Colin Wright first drew attention to the <a href="https://link.springer.com/article/10.1007/s10806-024-09934-0" target="_blank" rel="noopener">paper</a> the other day on social media. The paper is entitled, &#8220;Loving the Brine Shrimp: Exploring Queer Feminist Blue Posthumanities to Reimagine the ‘America’s Dead Sea.'&#8221;
The paper is written by someone named &#8220;Ewelina Jarosz,&#8221; who uses &#8220;she/they&#8221; pronouns and holds the position of Assistant Professor in the Department of Media and Cultural Research at &#8220;UKEN,&#8221; Poland.
Here&#8217;s what &#8220;she/they&#8221; came up with. The paper&#8217;s abstract <a href="https://link.springer.com/article/10.1007/s10806-024-09934-0" target="_blank" rel="noopener">states</a>, 
<blockquote>The article aims to transform narratives surrounding Utah’s Great Salt Lake, often referred to as &#8216;America’s Dead Sea,&#8217; by reimagining how brine shrimp are perceived in science, culture, and art. It introduces the concept of hydrosexuality to bridge these realms, thereby enriching feminist blue posthumanities and feminist biology through art-based practices and queer advocacy. &#8230; The hydrosexual perspective challenges settler science by exploring the connections between the reproductive system of brine shrimp and the economy, ecology and culture. &#8230; this cultural analysis draws inspiration from low trophic theory and Queer Death Studies.</blockquote>
The paper goes on to explain that &#8220;hydrosexuality&#8221; is a term that emphasizes the &#8220;more-than-human sensuality and sexuality emphasizing fluidity and relationality&#8221; and &#8220;deploys watery thinking to dissolve&#8221; the &#8220;hegemonic notion of the autonomous and bounded human subject.&#8221;
At this point, you can see why people thought that the Hooters guys had struck again. But then Colin Wright noticed that, in this article, the authors referenced something called a &#8220;postmedia environmental performance&#8221; that they had recently performed in the Great Salt Lake in Utah. The performance was called, &#8220;Cyber Wedding to the Brine Shrimp.&#8221; The performance, according to the authors, was intended to &#8220;express their human love towards the vulnerable yet tough brine shrimp,&#8221; by means of &#8220;a communal bath in the GSL, which some of us, including myself, perceived as making love to the lake.&#8221;
So, naturally, Colin Wright and his followers went looking for the footage. If they could find it, it might demonstrate that these authors weren&#8217;t playing a prank — or if they were, they were really, really committed to the bit.
What Colin Wright and his followers found appears to confirm that this paper is, indeed, real. And the video is very much worth watching.
To be clear, normally, I wouldn&#8217;t subject you to extended footage of eco-sexuals doing their thing. But it&#8217;s been about eight months since I last talked about eco-sexuals, in the context of that show &#8220;Naked Attraction.&#8221; So we&#8217;ve had enough of a cooling-off period, I think. And if this footage is any indication, things are deteriorating very, very quickly in that community.
Here&#8217;s how the &#8220;Cyber Wedding to the Brine Shrimp&#8221; begins. You&#8217;ll notice that the Mystery Science Theater guys have been overlaid to the front of the footage for comedic effect, by one of Colin&#8217;s followers. Watch:

So it begins normally enough. The eco-sexuals announce their intent to marry the brine shrimp. We&#8217;ve all been there. And then, out of nowhere, we hear the voice of the &#8220;Spiral Jetty.&#8221;
That&#8217;s apparently a piece of &#8220;land art&#8221; that was constructed in 1970 by Robert Smithson in the Great Salt Lake. And as you heard, the Spiral Jetty apparently felt the need to insert himself and his personal problems into this wedding. He&#8217;s apparently dry and exposed, and he thinks that&#8217;s relevant to the wedding between these people and these brine shrimp.
So he doesn&#8217;t shut up. He keeps going and going. And eventually he devolves into reciting land acknowledgements. Watch:

No one thinks about getting rid of this guy at any point. That&#8217;s what&#8217;s really incredible about this. Imagine you&#8217;re getting married, and out of nowhere, some effeminate voice pipes up, and starts reciting a land acknowledgement. And then he tells you all about how your wedding will benefit him. Even if you&#8217;re an intersectional feminist, it&#8217;s enough to make you root for global warming to accelerate a little bit and ruin the whole beach.

But eventually the land art quiets down, and they&#8217;re allowed to recite the vows. And then there&#8217;s even more drama, because someone interrupts once again. This is a theme of these eco-sexual weddings, apparently. None of these people can shut up. Watch:

So they ask the shrimp for psychic consent. And one of them says, &#8220;I don&#8217;t hear no. &#8230; My sense is not all of them, but most of them.&#8221;
And apparently, that&#8217;s good enough for these people. They subscribe to the Harvey Weinstein school of ethics over there in Poland&#8217;s eco-sexual community, I suppose. So the marriage takes place, although there&#8217;s a caveat. As the paper puts it: &#8220;To avoid potential harm to living critters, vows were made to the brine shrimp’s exponentially enlarged augmented reality image, which popped up at the lake’s shore above the humans’ heads.&#8221;
And then they consummated the marriage by walking into the water with their hands in the air. Watch:

At this point, I have to come clean. 
I have to admit that I don&#8217;t have much of a grand overarching point to make about the wonders of feminist blue post humanities and hydrosexuality. These people are so far gone that you legitimately can&#8217;t tell if they&#8217;re mocking the very concept of humanities.
Let me simply state: We have clearly reached the logical end point of wokeness. Every &#8220;slippery slope&#8221; argument conservatives made for the past 50 years has been vindicated. When feminists are marrying the brine shrimp while a talking sculpture recites land acknowledgements in the background, it&#8217;s abundantly clear that wokeness has jumped the shark. (Although I hesitate to make that statement, because the next video might actually involve these people trying to jump some sharks. And that footage would, in all likelihood, be even more disturbing to watch than this &#8220;Cyber Wedding to the Brine Shrimp.&#8221;)
But all the same, these people (or their survivors) would probably be able to find some peer-reviewed publication to publish the footage anyway. After all, there is no bottom to modern-day academia. There are just queer women getting married to brine shrimp, all the way down. The hoaxers have become indistinguishable from the serious, credentialed feminist eco-sexual professors. And that is why eco-sexuals, peer-reviewed publications, and feminist academics who marry shrimp are canceled.

Parents blasted a <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/pennsylvania" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Pennsylvania</a> school district and continued to demand answers on Monday night after the revelation that it allowed students to be surveyed by a “genderqueer witch” on sexual topics without parental permission.
The parents&#8217; comments came during the meeting of the Unionville-Chadds Ford School District school board and after The Daily Wire <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/school-admits-to-surveying-students-about-sexuality-without-parental-permission" target="_blank" rel="noopener">reported</a> that Unionville High School had brought in a “genderqueer witch,” known as Deni Tobin, to speak to high school freshmen about the issue of dating violence last year. When parents first asked about Tobin’s presentation, they were accused of spreading misinformation.
“I’m here tonight to speak about a troubling pattern of misconduct in the school district that undermines the sanctity of parental rights,” local parent and lawyer Chad Williams <a href="https://www.youtube.com/live/DQA2fFWUUn0" target="_blank" rel="noopener">said</a> during public comment at the board meeting.
Williams has filed a series of public information requests about Tobin’s presentation and the sexual violence surveys that were administered to students without parental permission in addition to filing a misconduct complaint against District Superintendent John Sanville.
“In the spring of 2023, just a month after a transgender person walked into a Christian school and murdered three children and three adults because they were Christians,” Williams added. “Dr. Sanville claimed that concerns about a transgender, self-described queer witch who was teaching high school freshman about sexual topics were quote ‘unfounded’ and he accused parents of spreading misinformation.”
Williams has attempted to set up a meeting with district officials, but says he has been so far stonewalled in his efforts for full transparency around the incident.
Other parents criticized the school board during the meeting, with one accusing the district of hiding information on the presentation from parents.
“The school made significant efforts to prevent parents from finding out the truth about this event and the event went so far as to conduct personal attacks against those who had the temerity to inquire about the survey,” a mother named Fabiana said.

A father named Erik said that his child was handed materials from Planned Parenthood during Tobin’s presentation, something the district has denied. Videos from the group that Tobin was brought in with, the Chester County Crime Victims Center, show Tobin presenting Planned Parenthood’s FRIES (Freely Given, Reversible, Informed, Enthusiastic, and Specific) sexual consent acronym.
“I don’t want my kid receiving Planned Parenthood information in the public school that I pay for,” he said. “And for you to look at me and say ‘Oh, it&#8217;s fake news, you&#8217;re falling for fake news, this is misinformation, you&#8217;re peddling misinformation.’ It’s wrong.”
Multiple parents also made reference to the district superintendent’s wife commenting “fake news” on a post from the Chester County Republican Party sharing The Daily Wire <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/school-enlists-genderqueer-witch-to-speak-to-students-about-dating-survey-them-about-their-sexuality" target="_blank" rel="noopener">article</a> detailing parental concerns about the dating violence presentation.
Unionville High Principal Amy Jenkins sent Williams an email on Tuesday asking to confirm a day for a meeting with him, but did not confirm whether other school board officials would be in attendance as requested.
The district conducted an investigation and determined that policy had not been followed when Tobin had distributed the sex-themed surveys to the students. The surveys asked students about their gender identity and whether they had ever “pressured” someone into a sexual act or whether someone had pressured them to do something sexual.

A Finnish politician who was on trial over her Christian beliefs on marriage and sexuality was found not guilty after the “hate crime” charges she faced were dismissed on Tuesday. 
Parliamentarian Päivi Räsänen faced state charges related to her sharing a 2019 tweet that included pictures of Bible verses,  a radio debate she had in 2019, and a pamphlet she wrote on marriage back in 2004. The Helsinki Court of Appeal unanimously dismissed the charges and those faced by Bishop Juhana Pohjola, who published Räsänen&#8217;s 2004 pamphlet called “Male and Female He Created Them.”
“I am deeply relieved. The court has fully endorsed and upheld the decision of the district court, which recognized everyone’s right to free speech,” Räsänen <a href="https://adfinternational.org/breaking-finnish-parliamentarian-found-not-guilty-of-hate-speech-for-bible-tweet-and-other-expressions/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">said</a> after the court ruling was announced. 
Räsänen, a member of the <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/finland" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Finnish</a> parliament, was supported in her defense by the Alliance Defending Freedom International. The prosecution must cover Räsänen’s legal bills according to the appeals court. 
“It isn’t a crime to tweet a Bible verse, or to engage in public discourse with a Christian perspective. The attempts made to prosecute me for expressing my beliefs have resulted in an immensely trying four years, but my hope is that the result will stand as a key precedent to protect the human right to free speech. I sincerely hope other innocent people will be spared the same ordeal for simply voicing their convictions,” Räsänen added. 
While Räsänen was unanimously acquitted by the District Court of Helsinki for the same charges back in March 2022, state prosecutors sought to appeal the lower court’s ruling earlier this year. 
The appeals court said that it had “no reason, on the basis of the evidence received at the main hearing, to assess the case in any respect differently from the District Court. There is therefore no reason to alter the final result of the District Court’s judgment.”

During the case, <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/finnish-politician-back-in-court-for-criminal-interpretation-of-bible-verses" target="_blank" rel="noopener">prosecutors argued</a> that they “can limit freedom of expression in the outward expression of religion.” They also said that the 2019 tweet was criminal because of Räsänen’s interpretation of the verse. “You can cite the Bible, but it is Räsänen’s interpretation and opinion about the Bible verses that are criminal,” one prosecutor said.  
Paul Coleman, the executive director of ADF International, celebrated the ruling but added that hate speech laws were dangerous for societies. 
“While we celebrate this monumental victory, we also remember that it comes after four years of police investigations, criminal indictments, prosecutions, and court hearings. We applaud the Helsinki Court of Appeal’s ruling in this case, and we work towards the bigger victory when such ludicrous cases are no longer brought,” he said.

TV personality <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/celebrities">Wayne Brady</a> has announced that he is “<a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/lgbtq">pansexual</a>.”
The host of the popular game show “Let’s Make a Deal” discussed his sexuality during a recent interview with <a href="https://people.com/wayne-brady-comes-out-as-pansexual-exclusive-7569897">People</a>. 
“In doing my research, both with myself and just with the world, I couldn’t say if I was bisexual, because I had to really see what that was, especially because I really have not gotten a chance to act on anything,” the 51-year-old <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/entertainment">actor</a> and comedian told the outlet. 
“So I came to pansexual because — and I know that I’m completely messing up the dictionary meaning — but to me, pan means being able to be attracted to anyone who identifies as gay, straight, bi, transsexual or non-binary.”
“I took pan to mean that not only can I be attracted to any of these people or types physically, but I could be attracted to the person that is there,” he added.
GLAAD, an LGBTQ advocacy nonprofit, defines pansexual as “a person who has the capacity to form enduring physical, romantic, and/ or emotional attractions to any person, regardless of gender identity.”

The women described their reactions to Brady&#8217;s revelation.
“I just said, ‘Great.’ As I knew coming out would help him be happier,&#8221; Taketa said. His daughter Maile said, “I just said, ‘Okay.’&#8221;
Brady also discussed feeling attraction to men in the past but not wanting to admit it. “Let&#8217;s be really honest: I&#8217;ve also been attracted to certain men in my life, but I&#8217;ve always pushed that aside because of how I was raised, and because I live in today&#8217;s world, and it&#8217;s scary as sh**,” he said.
“What&#8217;s the fastest way to hurt another man? I&#8217;m gonna call you out of your name. I&#8217;m gonna call you gay. I&#8217;m gonna emasculate you. I&#8217;m gonna use the F-word. I learned that very early from the people around me, they&#8217;re like, &#8220;Oh, so those are bad things? Yeah. You, you don&#8217;t wanna be that.&#8221;
Brady said in the interview that he had previously been &#8220;treated for love addiction.”

The differences between men and women are as multifaceted as they are obvious. 
For decades intellectuals and those on the political Left have argued that there are no meaningful distinctions between men and women beyond the physical &#8211; and even the physical differences are denied by gender ideology, which has produced such bizarre linguistic contortions as “birthing person” or “person with a penis” and reduced the categories of “woman” and “man” into arbitrary, subjective sludge.
At the same time, an increasing body of <a href="https://stanmed.stanford.edu/how-mens-and-womens-brains-are-different/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">scientific research</a> supports what sensible people have known since time immemorial – men and women are complementary opposites with different ways of thinking, doing, and being.
“Of course, men and women have a tremendous amount in common,” Dennis Prager, founder of PragerU, clarified. Research indicates that men and women have the same average intelligence, for example, and members of both sexes are still moral agents with the capacity to do good or evil, although the set of temptations each sex will face differs.
But similarly robust data indicates that men and women differ drastically in median <a href="https://www.bbc.com/future/article/20161011-do-men-and-women-really-have-different-personalities" target="_blank" rel="noopener">temperament</a>, <a href="https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/19883140/#:~:text=Men%20showed%20stronger%20Realistic%20(d,d%20%3D%20%2D0.33)%20interests." target="_blank" rel="noopener">interests</a>, <a href="https://www.jstor.org/stable/26913183?seq=5" target="_blank" rel="noopener">political persuasion</a>, attitudes towards <a href="https://www.huffpost.com/entry/the-parenting-gender-gap_b_11430888">child rearing</a>, <a href="https://psychcentral.com/blog/relationship-corner/2018/01/female-vs-male-friendships-10-key-differences#3" target="_blank" rel="noopener">relationships</a>, and <a href="https://scitechdaily.com/what-factors-matter-in-sexual-attraction-for-men-and-women-of-different-ages/#:~:text=And%20while%20both%20sexes%20prefer,can%27t%20risk%20choosing%20poorly.">sexuality</a>, and even susceptibility to different kinds of <a href="https://www.apa.org/news/press/releases/2011/08/mental-illness" target="_blank" rel="noopener">mental illness</a>.
Unlike the ironclad differences in body structure and genitalia, the temperamental differences between the sexes do exist on a spectrum &#8211; while some personality traits may be more common in women or more common in men, there will be some men who are more feminine, and some women who are more masculine. But the fact that there are exceptions to the rule does not disprove the general pattern: while there is considerable overlap between the sexes along dimensions, along others the typical differences are so great that exceptions are few and far between.
“We have to make generalizations but they have to be intelligent generalizations,” Prager says. “And you always have to offer examples to make your point about the generalization.”
One article Prager <a href="https://psychcentral.com/blog/relationship-corner/2018/01/female-vs-male-friendships-10-key-differences#3" target="_blank" rel="noopener">cites</a> notes that women are more likely to suffer from mood disorders such as anxiety or depression, while men are more likely to have autism or ADHD. That roughly tracks with personality research, which suggests that women are more sensitive to negative emotion than men, while men are on average <a href="https://psychcentral.com/blog/relationship-corner/2018/01/female-vs-male-friendships-10-key-differences#3" target="_blank" rel="noopener">more impulsive</a> and less sensitive to social cues than women. While there is no shortage of depressed men or autistic women, women are <a href="https://psychcentral.com/blog/relationship-corner/2018/01/female-vs-male-friendships-10-key-differences#3" target="_blank" rel="noopener">twice as likely</a> to be diagnosed with depression and men are more than<a href="https://psychcentral.com/blog/relationship-corner/2018/01/female-vs-male-friendships-10-key-differences#3" target="_blank" rel="noopener"> 4 times</a> as likely to be autistic.

Another point Prager notes is that male and female infants play differently and have sex-based preferences in activities and toys. These differences have been validated cross-culturally and across species – infant <a href="https://psychcentral.com/blog/relationship-corner/2018/01/female-vs-male-friendships-10-key-differences#3" target="_blank" rel="noopener">monkeys</a> prefer either wheeled toys or plush, doll-like toys depending on whether or not they’re male or female. As a whole, males are consistently more interested in motion and action while females are more interested in faces and people.
Prager also recounts an anecdote where lifelong liberal Larry Summers — former Clinton Treasury Secretary and president of Harvard University — <a href="https://psychcentral.com/blog/relationship-corner/2018/01/female-vs-male-friendships-10-key-differences#3" target="_blank" rel="noopener">bought</a> his young daughter toy trucks in an attempt to be “gender neutral “ as a parent, only for her to immediately treat the toys like dolls, dubbing the larger one “daddy truck” and the smaller one “baby truck.”
Men are also much more physically aggressive than women and more likely to resort to violence. They tend to be more competitive and less likely to take disputes personally — Prager notes that male athletes have been found to be more likely to shake hands, pat each other on the back or otherwise physically reconcile after a high-level competition than female athletes are.
Men also tend to be more rough-and-tumble in their friendships. “When men really like each other, they insult each other,” Prager notes. By contrast, female friendships tend to be built on emotional support and intimacy — what a man might think of as playful teasing would in that context be a devastating slight.
Women, by contrast, tend to be more innately nurturing. They largely avoid physical confrontation and are highly concerned with the health of relationships and the needs of infants and other vulnerable members of the group.
“Women are optimized for taking care of a child,” Prager says, noting that this observation should be uncontroversial whether you believe they evolved to be this way or were created for that purpose. The fact of the difference and the obviousness of its importance is incontrovertible — human beings could not exist if someone wasn’t focused on caring for the next generation.
Prager also notes that this difference extends beyond the immediate household and applies to views of society at large.
“Women overwhelmingly are more likely to vote for the parties that want to nurture those in society who are, for example, poorer. They vote for the nurturing party,” Prager said. 
Perhaps most frustratingly, men and women have different approaches to sex and romance, and often radically misunderstand one another.
“Women are aroused by their minds, men are aroused by their eyes,” Prager argues.
Men are predominantly aroused by visual cues of attraction: facial symmetry, waist-hip ratios, and other cues for fertility and health. They also have a greater interest in casual sex and are allured by the prospect of sexual variety — they are overwhelmingly more likely to consume pornography, patronize prostitutes, or pursue casual hookups.
“It&#8217;s not an excuse,” Prager says, arguing that those tendencies can be extremely destructive and have to be reined in, “but the fact that reality poses a problem is not a reason for a mature person to dismiss the reality.”
By contrast, while women are attracted to good-looking men, looks alone are rarely enough to keep their attention for long. Prager provides a list of other factors women consider when assessing a man that are at least as important as his looks, if not more so, including (but not limited to): “Voice, height, brains, personality, money, success, fame, power, charm, sense of humor, confidence.”
Put more <a href="https://psychcentral.com/blog/relationship-corner/2018/01/female-vs-male-friendships-10-key-differences#3" target="_blank" rel="noopener">scientifically</a>: “While both sexes prefer a physically attractive mate or potential partner, males have been shown to report stronger such preferences for attractiveness … Females are more selective about other characteristics because their time for reproduction is more limited so they can’t risk choosing poorly.”
Prager also noted that the feminist push for “empowered” women to adopt male sexual norms and pursue casual sex was actively making women <a href="https://psychcentral.com/blog/relationship-corner/2018/01/female-vs-male-friendships-10-key-differences#3" target="_blank" rel="noopener">miserable</a>. Denying the various differences causes both sexes to dismiss or disregard those differences, hurting themselves and each other.
“The better men and women understand each other, the more they&#8217;ll accept each other&#8217;s differences,” Prager says, “and that can serve as a very big help in their relationship.”

June 1 marked the advent of Pride Month – the most important sacrament of the American secular religious calendar. During Pride Month, public schools across the nation teach small children the joys of alternative sexual practices and orientations; corporations plaster their stores in rainbow accoutrements of all sorts; and the federal government of the United States proclaims its fidelity to the LGBTQ+*&amp;^% ideology.
The American public, for the most part, has historically taken Pride Month not for what it is but for what it sometimes purports to be: a call for tolerance of the marginalized. But that, of course, is not what Pride Month is or ever was. Pride Month is not a call for equality, but a call for revolution. The Pride movement was always a call for a replacement of historic, tried and true cultural norms with new, untried and risky cultural norms.
Heteronormativity is one such tried and true norm: the correct belief that any durable society rests on the basis of male-female dyads producing children. Such a norm ought to be promoted. But Pride suggests the opposite: that heteronormativity is an authoritarian and discriminatory standard that places artificial limits on the full flowering of human sexuality. Explode the norm, and maximize human happiness!
This, of course, was precisely the case made by the original exponents of the sexual revolution. Herbert Marcuse, author of Eros and Civilization (1955) called for a rewriting of all sexual norms in order to tear down the capitalist structure. He sought “a non-repressive civilization, based on a fundamentally different experience of being, a fundamentally different relation between man and nature, and fundamentally different existential relations.” Such a civilization could only be birthed by treating “the body in its entirety [as] an object of cathexis, a thing to be enjoyed — an instrument of pleasure.” Sex would be unmoored from marriage and parenthood; Marcuse argued, “the barriers against absolute gratification would become elements of human freedom…This sensuous rationality contains its own moral laws.”
By 1970, feminist Shulamith Firestone argued that sexual revolution would bring about “not just the elimination of male privilege but of the sex distinction itself: genital differences between human beings would no longer matter culturally.” Happiness would now be found in a “reversion to an unobstructed pansexuality — Freud&#8217;s &#8216;polymorphous perversity&#8217; — would probably supersede hetero/homo/bi-sexuality.”
We have now reached the dystopia sought by Marcuse and Firestone: a world in which all the elites in our society participate in the rewriting of durable societal norms in favor of unending sexual gratification. In order to maintain that dystopia, however, our societal elites require one more element: repression of the traditional norms. A fair fight might leave traditional Judeo-Christian norms in place; they’ve proven rather durable over time. Marcuse had a solution for just such a problem: repression. Promotion of the new morality would require quashing the old. “[L]iberation of the Damned of the Earth presupposes suppression not only of their old but also of their new masters,” Marcuse wrote.
And so the culture war rages. Because, after all, old norms don’t die easily. They must be killed in order to achieve “Pride” in the alternative. And that revolution requires the exercise of cultural, governmental, and corporate power from sea to shining sea.

An <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/oregon" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Oregon</a> high school has parents livid after it was discovered that a health teacher assigned homework asking students to write sexual fantasy stories and mark the initials of a man or woman next to the sexual activities they would perform.
First reported by local television news station <a href="https://www.kezi.com/news/suggestive-high-school-assignment-has-parents-calling-for-change/article_b859ec0a-beda-11ed-b635-4ffc315760f3.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">KEZI</a> in the city of Eugene, a parent exposed the assignment via a screenshot on Facebook, which asked students at Churchill High School to &#8220;write a short story of a paragraph or two […about] a sexual fantasy that will have NO penetration of any kind or oral sex (no way of passing an STI).&#8221;
According to <a href="https://www.oregonlive.com/education/2023/03/eugene-parents-decry-high-school-sexual-fantasy-health-assignment.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">The Oregonian</a>, Kirk Miller, health teacher and football coach, gave the assignment to students taking Churchill&#8217;s Health 2 &#8211; Human Sexuality course, which directs the class to show that minors could &#8220;receive loving affection without having sex&#8221; while choosing three items for the story.
Such items could include &#8220;romantic music, candles, massage oil, feather, feather boa, flavored syrup, etc.&#8221;

Hundreds of comments flooded the post within an hour of the screenshot being made public on social media.
&#8220;This is so inappropriate,&#8221; one post read. &#8220;Does he still have a job?&#8221;
Another parent expressed outrage over the idea of an adult male teacher asking their daughter to share sexual fantasies with him.
&#8220;I would be livid and be going to the police,&#8221; the comment said. &#8220;No teacher has any business asking this of a child.&#8221;
Katherine Rogers, whose 16-year-old daughter attends the high school but was not in the class, told The Oregonian that Miller previously gave the students another assignment that encouraged bisexuality, called &#8220;With Whom Would You Do It?&#8221;
The classwork required students to initial males and females that the student &#8220;would do each activity with,&#8221; which were sexual in nature, such as kissing and oral sex.
&#8220;You may use the same person for multiple activities,&#8221; the assignment added.
Rogers said students in the class felt &#8220;mortified, awkward, and creeped out&#8221; by the assignments.
Out of feeling uncomfortable with the assignment, Rogers said some students used &#8220;Kung Fu Panda&#8221; characters in their response to avoid being too personal.
&#8220;So while we are teaching our daughter to abstain from sex, her high school health teacher is asking her to pick out sexual partners and swing both ways,&#8221; one mother told The Epoch Times.
Churchill High School Principal Missy Cole said in an email sent to parents last week that school officials and Eugene school district officials were reviewing its high school health curriculum, which is called Our Whole Lives, developed by the Unitarian Universalist Association and the United Church of Christ.
&#8220;At this time, the assignment has been removed from the class syllabus and will not be a part of students&#8217; grades,&#8221; Cole wrote, according to The Epoch Times. &#8220;The Our Whole Lives curriculum is utilized by many districts across the state and is endorsed by the Oregon Department of Education.&#8221;
Peter Rudy, a spokesperson for the Oregon Department of Education, told The Oregonian last week that the state&#8217;s list of recommended instructional material for high school health courses does not include the curriculum in question.
Rudy told the outlet that Oregon school districts could choose curriculums not listed with the state-recommended materials and do not have to notify the Oregon Department of Education. State officials, he said, are not required to track what curriculum districts choose.
<a href="https://www.theepochtimes.com/parent-outrage-as-oregon-teacher-asks-students-to-share-sexual-fantasies-for-school-health-assignment_5120604.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">The Epoch Times</a> reported that Oregon schools have lost 34,000 students and rank 41st in the nation for education, with one of the worst graduation rates in America.
Mackensey Pulliam of Oregon Moms Union told The Epoch Times in an email that such learning material does not belong in schools.
&#8220;The Oregon education system is failing our kids with less than 45 percent reading at grade level and less than 32 percent able to do math at grade level,&#8221; Pulliam said. &#8220;We need to be focusing on academics and catching our kids up on years of pandemic-related learning loss. The purpose of our schools is to set students up for success as they enter the workforce or higher education, not to teach them about sexual fantasies.&#8221;

A <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/planned-parenthood" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Planned Parenthood</a> executive has sparked backlash for saying that children are &#8220;sexual&#8221; from birth and calling for porn literacy lessons for older children.
Bill Taverner, executive director of the New Jersey-based Center for Sex Education, Planned Parenthood&#8217;s sex education arm, made the newly unearthed comments in a 2015 <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JfFH7bVqVQE" target="_blank" rel="noopener">interview</a>, Fox News first <a href="https://www.foxnews.com/media/planned-parenthood-sexuality-educator-claims-kids-sexual-birth-porn-literacy" target="_blank" rel="noopener">reported</a>.
&#8220;I think that we unfortunately have in our society, an assumption of asexuality of people with intellectual disabilities,&#8221; Taverner told the interviewer, sexuality consultant Leslie Walker-Hirsch.
&#8220;It&#8217;s a myth that&#8217;s perpetuated, and really we are all sexual beings from birth until death,&#8221; Taverner said.
Planned Parenthood itself <a href="https://www.foxnews.com/media/planned-parenthood-sexuality-educator-claims-kids-sexual-birth-porn-literacy" target="_blank" rel="noopener">echoed</a> this sentiment in a guide called the &#8220;Fundamentals of Teaching Sexuality,&#8221; stating that, &#8220;sexuality is a part of life through all the ages and stages. Babies, elders, and everyone in between can experience sexuality.&#8221;
In a 2012 <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=37WNlsk5tQA" target="_blank" rel="noopener">interview</a>, Taverner appeared to imply that some pornography exposure could be &#8220;useful&#8221; for older children.
&#8220;I think that there&#8217;s this yearning for information that young people have that &#8230; hasn&#8217;t changed,&#8221; Taverner said in the interview, which was hosted by a local New Jersey chapter of the National Organization for Women (NOW).
&#8220;I think that the internet is a major influence on how people learn about sexuality,&#8221; Taverner said. &#8220;There&#8217;s access to erotica, pornography. That was very different for young people 30 years ago, certainly not as accessible, certainly not as instantaneous. So there&#8217;s a lot of information that is useful, there&#8217;s websites that are —&#8221;
&#8220;Some of it is wrong,&#8221; interrupted the interviewer, NOW&#8217;s Rebecca Lubetkin.
&#8220;Some of it is wrong, a lot of it is wrong, but there&#8217;s good stuff out there as well,&#8221; Taverner responded.
Taverner added that &#8220;sexting&#8221; is another issue schools need to discuss with students during sex education.
The Planned Parenthood executive made similar remarks last year, saying that while those in public health and sexology never wanted porn to be the &#8220;de facto educator,&#8221; we need to &#8220;shift our education.&#8221;
Taverner said in a 2021 <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WnbpFlwlKXQ" target="_blank" rel="noopener">interview</a> that there is a &#8220;resistance&#8221; to discussing pornography with students because some people think it will encourage them to watch it, which Taverner called &#8220;the same faulty kind of premise as if we teach about condoms is it going to make people want to have sex with condoms. Maybe that&#8217;s not a bad thing.&#8221;
&#8220;Getting back to meeting people where they are, if this is what they&#8217;re doing with their cell phones and their tablets and their laptops, then we need to shift our education and stop doing the banana on a condom and think that, you know, we&#8217;ve done our thing,&#8221; he said.
Taverner said sex educators need to guide young people in thinking about their values, for example, the ethics of pornography.
&#8220;That&#8217;s not to say that there&#8217;s a right answer,&#8221; he said. &#8220;We need to have conversations about what&#8217;s missing in porn that may be different in a real relationship, and that&#8217;s not to castigate porn.&#8221;
Sex education can start as early as kindergarten, Taverner said in the 2012 interview. In kindergarten, sex education may involve talking about &#8220;what makes a family&#8221; or &#8220;the basics of germs.&#8221;
&#8220;All of that sets the foundation for a basic understanding that is useful for further conversations when we&#8217;re talking about condoms or when we&#8217;re talking about pregnancy prevention,&#8221; he said.
&#8220;Age-appropriate sex education is so important,&#8221; Taverner said. &#8220;We need to let our experts guide us.&#8221;
Monica Cline, a former Planned Parenthood sex educator, said Planned Parenthood clearly has a &#8220;distorted view of sexuality and children.&#8221;
&#8220;The pornification of our children by Planned Parenthood pays homage to the &#8216;Father&#8217; of sex education, Alfred Kinsey, who claimed children are sexual from birth after sexually abusing infants and children for his research,&#8221; Cline said in a statement. &#8220;The sex-ed industry, funded in large part by our government, has adopted this depraved belief, pushing this twisted thinking onto vulnerable populations since the 1970s.&#8221;
Cline called for the government to cut funding for Planned Parenthood and for parents to &#8220;wake up and get them out of the schools in their own communities.&#8221;
Taverner has worked in the sex education field since at least 1995, according to his LinkedIn page. In 2014, he <a href="https://www.plannedparenthood.org/about-us/newsroom/press-releases/planned-parenthood-holds-capitol-hill-briefing-real-sex-ed" target="_blank" rel="noopener">advocated</a> for sex education at a congressional briefing on Capitol Hill.
Last year, he expressed his view that society has a &#8220;puritanical, anti-sex, eroti-phobic kind of orientation&#8221; around the topic of sex.
&#8220;We need to recognize that a lot of folks are driven by fear,&#8221; Taverner said in the same 2021 interview.

In September, the activist model filed for divorce from Bear-McClard after four years of marriage. The two share a one-year-old son, as Page Six noted.
At one point in the Harper&#8217;s Bazaar article, Ratajkowski admitted she feels anger over the divorce after Bear-McClard reportedly cheated on her.

Cardi B. responded in a couple of tweets — which she later deleted — suggesting that she didn&#8217;t necessarily have an issue with Madonna saying that she had paved the way for female artists, but she wasn&#8217;t impressed with the way in which it had been done.
&#8220;I literally payed this woman homage so many times cause I grew up listening to her,&#8221; the rapper tweeted, according to TMZ&#8217;s report. &#8220;She can make her point without putting clown emojis and getting slick out the mouth &#8230; These icons really become disappointments once u make it in the industry that&#8217;s why I keep to myself.&#8221;

House Republicans have introduced a bill that would ensure <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/taxes" target="_blank" rel="noopener">taxpayer</a> money doesn’t go towards sexually-oriented projects directed at young kids.
The Stop the Sexualization of Children Act states that it would “prohibit the use of Federal funds to develop, implement, facilitate, or fund any sexually-oriented program, event, or literature for children under the age of 10, and for other purposes.”
The legislation is <a href="https://bossierpress.com/house-republicans-introduce-legislation-to-ensure-taxpayer-dollars-cannot-fund-sexually-explicit-material-for-children/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">backed</a> by 33 GOP House Members and was <a href="https://cc.org/house-republicans-introduce-legislation-to-ensure-taxpayer-dollars-cannot-fund-sexually-explicit-material-for-children/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">introduced</a> by House Republican Conference Vice Chairman Mike Johnson of Louisiana.

“The Democrat Party and their cultural allies are on a misguided crusade to immerse young children in sexual imagery and radical gender ideology,” Representative Johnson <a href="https://cc.org/house-republicans-introduce-legislation-to-ensure-taxpayer-dollars-cannot-fund-sexually-explicit-material-for-children/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">said</a>. “This commonsense bill is straightforward. No federal tax dollars should go to any federal, state, or local government agencies, or private organizations that intentionally expose children under 10 years of age to sexually explicit material.”
Federal funds would not be able to go toward events that involve “sexually-oriented material,” as well as “any program, event, or literature that exposes children under the age of 10 to nude adults, individuals who are stripping, or lewd or lascivious dancing.”
The bill points to the fact that private and government groups have used federal grant money “to host and promote sexually-oriented events like drag queen story hours and burlesque shows.&#8221;
The bill allows parents or guardians to “bring a civil action for injunctive relief … against a government official, government agency, or private entity” if his or her child was under the age of ten and “exposed to sexually-oriented material funded in part or in whole by Federal funds.”
It also prevents federal funds from being given to any group for three years if the group has two or more penalties for violating the bill in a time span of five years.
The measure defines “sexually-oriented material” as “any depiction, description, or simulation of sexual activity, any lewd or lascivious depiction or description of human genitals, or any topic involving gender identity, gender dysphoria, transgenderism, sexual orientation, or related subjects.”
It also provides a definition for “stripping,” stating that it would apply to “any act which involves the removal or simulated removal of clothing in a sexual manner for the entertainment of one or more individuals.”
The measure points out that specific school districts that get federal grant money have put in place sexual education for kids under 10 years old, and a lot of recently issued sexual education courses “encourage discussions of sexuality, sexual orientation, transgenderism, and gender ideology as early as kindergarten.”
