The Spanish exclave of Ceuta has seen a surge in sexual assaults and violent robberies since more than 70,000 African migrants stormed its borders within a matter of days earlier this summer.
Spanish prosecutors said <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/enough-is-enough-thousands-of-ceuta-residents-protest-spains-handling-of-migrant-invasion">the territory</a>, which sits on the African continent, has experienced 23 sexual assaults, including nine against children, since the border crush in late July. In a recent <a href="https://elpais.com/espana/2026-09-01/la-fiscal-jefa-de-ceuta-hay-casi-una-agresion-sexual-al-dia-hay-preocupacion.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">interview</a>, Ceuta&#8217;s Chief Prosecutor Silvia Rojas said it amounts to &#8220;almost one case [of sexual assault] per day.&#8221;
&#8220;There&#8217;s been a spike in crime, including sexual assaults and violent robberies,&#8221; Rojas said.
&#8220;There has been an exponential increase in these crimes since the massive influx of people. There have been many cases of sexual assault, and the Public Prosecutor&#8217;s Office is especially concerned about the victims,&#8221; Rojas said.
Rojas said some of the victims were migrant children whose irregular status made them particularly vulnerable.
&#8220;Above all, there are underage victims, victims who are particularly vulnerable precisely because of their irregular status in this territory,&#8221; Rojas said. &#8220;Furthermore, many people do not file a report, either out of fear or because of their current situation in Ceuta.&#8221;
&#8220;The Public Prosecutor&#8217;s Office has emphasized the need to adopt protective measures for the victims, ranging from restraining orders or no-contact orders to much more serious measures, such as pretrial detention,&#8221; she said.
Thousands of migrants, mainly young men from Morocco, stormed Ceuta&#8217;s beaches by climbing border fences and swimming. Failing to secure access to mainland Spain, many migrants have since returned home.
Roughly 5,000 migrants remain in Ceuta, including 1,200 minors, CBS News <a href="https://www.cbsnews.com/news/spain-russia-israel-ceuta-migrant-crisis-disinformation/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">reported</a>, citing a statement from Sánchez.
Many of the remaining migrants appear to be causing havoc.
Thousands of Spaniards staged protests across the country Wednesday, demanding Spain&#8217;s Socialist Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez address the ongoing chaos in Ceuta, <a href="https://apnews.com/article/spain-migration-ceuta-protest-holiday-dcc8fcac0897320c50d3bed6f7b6ebbb" target="_blank" rel="noopener">according</a> to The Associated Press.
The border crush came after Spain’s Supreme Court ruled that Spanish authorities cannot immediately deport migrants entering by sea.
Earlier this year, Sánchez launched a program for more than one million migrants to receive amnesty as a way to counteract the world’s “MAGA-style leaders,” <a href="https://www.nytimes.com/2026/06/30/world/europe/spain-migrants-legal-status.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">according</a> to The New York Times.
Spain received more than double the number of applications it had initially expected.

An illegal immigrant allegedly broke into a 77-year-old woman&#8217;s Florida home, raped her, and choked her as she tried to escape, authorities said.
The victim awoke around 4 a.m. Saturday after hearing a noise inside her Mulberry home, according to the Polk County Sheriff&#8217;s Office. Axel Antonio Espinal Herrera, 24, of Honduras, allegedly entered her bedroom, forcibly removed her clothes, sexually assaulted her, and then slapped her as she tried to run away.
The naked elderly woman tried to escape through the front door when her attacker went into the bathroom, but he allegedly chased her, dragged her back inside, and choked her. He then fled, and the victim called authorities.
Detectives canvassing the neighborhood eventually found Herrera at a nearby home taking a shower and identified him based on the victim&#8217;s description, according to the sheriff&#8217;s office. The victim also identified him through a photo lineup.
Authorities arrested Herrera and booked him into the local jail on charges of kidnapping, sexual battery by force, burglary with battery, tampering with evidence, possession of cocaine, possession of drug paraphernalia, and loitering/prowling.
&#8220;Sexual battery of an individual is without a doubt one of the most horrific crimes that occurs. And a violent, out-of-control sexual battery on a stranger even elevates that one more level,&#8221; Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd said in a video statement.
&#8220;And then you take on top of that that the suspect is in this country illegally that pushes it over the top,&#8221; Judd said.
Herrera initially spoke with detectives, but refused to answer additional questions, according to the sheriff&#8217;s office. Detectives found multiple scratches on the suspect&#8217;s body which were consistent with the victim&#8217;s account of fighting back.
The Honduran national was also found to be in possession of cocaine, the sheriff&#8217;s office said.
The sheriff&#8217;s office contacted Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), which lodged a detainer asking for Herrera to be transferred to federal custody if he is released from the local jail.
Authorities also arrested two other Honduran men who lived with Herrera after they were found to be living in the United States illegally. ICE lodged detainers for the two housemates.

Imagine inviting someone to a dinner party at your home who doesn&#8217;t know how to eat with cutlery, clean up after themselves, speak English, properly respect the hosts, or refrain from attacking your children, wife, or dog.
That would be stupid.
But ironically, that is exactly what the United Kingdom did, just on a much grander and more significant scale.
After allowing hundreds of thousands of migrants to flood their borders and nest within the walls of the U.K., fundamentally changing the fabric of their nation, sending sexual assault numbers skyrocketing, and leaving housing, policing, and legal systems groaning under the weight of it, the government&#8217;s fix is not tighter borders, stricter asylum vetting, or, say, enforcing the laws already on the books. That would make too much sense. Instead, they&#8217;re resorting to &#8220;How to Act in Britain&#8221; <a href="https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/understanding-behaviours-and-expectations-in-the-uk-a-guide-for-asylum-seekers/understanding-behaviours-and-expectations-in-the-uk-a-guide-for-asylum-seekers-accessible">pamphlets</a> for their former third-world arrivals.
It&#8217;s embarrassing beyond recognition.
The instruction manuals for the new arrivals include basic messaging that most of Western civilization absorbs by kindergarten — but that those arriving from elsewhere have no concept of at all.
Take the &#8220;novel&#8221; concept of gender equality:

And importing those parts that largely view women as half-brained? Might not go over well with the ladies of Blighty.
It&#8217;s also funny to see that *snap* just like that, the Left remembered that differences between the two sexes do exist. Someone alert the WNBA.

My favorite entry: please don&#8217;t confiscate your wife&#8217;s passport. In America, we&#8217;re still arguing over whether a woman who strangled her three kids to death mid-breakdown counts as a &#8220;victim&#8221;; meanwhile, the U.K. is now having to remind 19% of its population that a passport is a travel document, not a leash.
It&#8217;s giving “Not Without My Daughter,” except this time the sequel is government-issued pamphlets explaining that, no, in the U.K., you cannot confiscate your wife&#8217;s passport whenever you feel like it.
Naturally, there&#8217;s a section on sex and consent. Foreign nationals make up roughly 11% of the English population but account for somewhere between 14% and 22% of sexual-offense convictions, including close to a quarter of convictions for sexual assault on women and over one-fifth of adult rape convictions, per 2024 figures.
Bang-up job there, Europe.

It might have helped to hand out the &#8220;please don&#8217;t sexually assault women&#8221; pamphlet before the Rape Gang Inquiry confirmed what everyone already knew: that as many as a quarter of a million young girls were systematically raped, trafficked, and abused over decades by organized networks of mostly Pakistani men, while police, councils, and social workers looked away, terrified of the word &#8220;racist.&#8221;
The government didn&#8217;t have too much to say about that, but hey: dial 999 if you need anything, ladies!

No unsolicited photos, no sexual comments, and no groping, please! Please! PLEASE! I&#8217;m honestly surprised there wasn&#8217;t a bonus module on saying &#8220;thank you&#8221; or a footnote clarifying that beheading people is generally frowned upon in polite society.
It&#8217;s easy to mock because it&#8217;s so incredibly insane; the nation that once exported liberty, rule of law, and women&#8217;s rights to half the globe is now reduced to begging its own dinner guests not to assault the hosts. But the insanity of it all is quite sad.
Between 2021 and 2024, as hundreds of thousands crossed the Channel to file asylum claims, sexual-offense convictions among foreign nationals rose 62%. Afghan nationals showed markedly elevated rates. Foreign nationals remain wildly overrepresented in England&#8217;s sex-offender population relative to their share of the general population.
The victims in all of this were largely young English women. You weren&#8217;t allowed to notice, lest you get labeled a bigoted Islamophobe. You also weren&#8217;t allowed to notice that the year Muhammad became the #1 boy name in England and Wales (and stayed there), thousands of those same young, white, British girls were still being treated as fair game by organized grooming networks. Or notice that old cities and towns once full of smiling faces and bright-eyed children were now draped in flags, burqas, and speakers sounding the call to prayer, lest you be called a bigot.
But now that everyone&#8217;s seeing it and can’t unsee it, the government is making a pathetic attempt at damage mitigation with &#8220;How to be an Englishman,&#8221; for dummies who couldn’t care less about how to be an Englishman.
It boils down to this: those illegally entering these established nations do not want to be like the English, or the Americans, or the Western man more broadly. They want to import their own ways, their own hierarchy of the sexes, their own rules about whose word carries force and whose body is available, and their own contempt for the soft, sentimental rules that Judeo-Christian civilization spent centuries building.
The Bible and the moral tradition that grew from it teach that every person, man or woman, bears the image of God, that the strong are commanded to protect the weak, that marriage is a covenant of mutual dignity, and that the stranger is still bound by the same moral law as the host. That is why the West abolished slavery, raised the status of women, and treated rape as a crime against the person rather than a property dispute. Large parts of the Islamic world, shaped by different scriptures and centuries of different practices, never underwent that transformation. In too many of the countries these arrivals come from, a woman&#8217;s testimony is worth half a man&#8217;s, her freedom of movement still depends on a male guardian, and &#8220;honor&#8221; can justify violence that Western courts call murder. The Home Office pamphlet is not inventing a problem; it is admitting, in the blandest bureaucratic prose possible, that the guests arrived with a different operating system.
So the dinner party continues. 
The hosts keep printing etiquette cards while the furniture is rearranged, the silverware disappears, and the children are no longer safe in their own home. A serious country would have locked the door. Instead, it keeps setting extra places and hoping the next pamphlet will finally do the trick.

In the entry, Baldwin said that she&#8217;d recently tried a dating app — and had &#8220;lasted approximately three minutes&#8221; before she deleted it and moved on, or so she thought.
&#8220;Very recently, I gave it another shot,&#8221; she wrote. &#8220;Why? Maybe I wanted a distraction. Maybe I like to kiss. Maybe I’m a grown-ass woman who can do whatever the hell she wants. This time I made it&#8230; five whole days.&#8221;
And then &#8230;
&#8220;But here’s what’s fascinating. Over the last month or so, I’ve had the opportunity to sleep with four different men. This is not a humblebrag. Nor have I suddenly become Samantha Jones. (Though if that’s your lane&#8230; Do you, boo.),&#8221; she said, referencing the hyper-sexual character played by Kim Cattrall in HBO&#8217;s &#8220;Sex and the City.&#8221;
She then went on to describe the men.

&#8220;I woke up on the cold, hard bathroom tile floor of my Los Angeles hotel room with a man I did not know,&#8221; she wrote, adding, &#8220;For years, I did not have language for what I believed may have been done to me.&#8221;

The Trump administration does not plan to intervene to stop the extradition of controversial influencers Andrew and Tristan Tate to the United Kingdom, despite the brothers&#8217; legal team urging Secretary of State Marco Rubio to step in.
A senior administration official told <a href="https://www.axios.com/2026/07/22/trump-rubio-tate-brothers-extradition">Axios</a> on Wednesday that the United States will not block the proceedings as the brothers fight extradition in federal court. &#8220;The U.S. has an extradition treaty with the U.K. and the administration intends to honor it in this case,&#8221; the official said.
The State Department likewise indicated it has no plans to intervene. A senior department official said Rubio has not spoken with the Tate brothers or their attorneys and that the department &#8220;has no plans to act on this matter at this time.&#8221;

The brothers have thus far denied all wrongdoing, and they appeared Monday before a federal judge in Miami to begin extradition proceedings. Their attorney, Joseph McBride, argued outside the courthouse that the prosecution is politically motivated and has vowed to challenge the request. &#8220;We are of course objecting to extradition because Andrew and Tristan are innocent,&#8221; McBride told <a href="https://apnews.com/article/andrew-tristan-tate-sex-trafficking-rape-uk-miami-3a3748e075f49b00f286a003f5103485">reporters</a>. &#8220;They&#8217;ve never done nothing wrong. They shouldn&#8217;t be extradited for crimes they did not commit.&#8221;
McBride has also argued that Rubio has the authority to deny the extradition request if he determines the brothers are being politically persecuted. Court filings acknowledge the secretary retains final authority over extradition decisions after judicial proceedings conclude, but administration officials have indicated there is no appetite to exercise that discretion in this case.

They became prominent figures within the so-called &#8220;manosphere&#8221; and have repeatedly portrayed themselves as allies of Trump and the MAGA movement.
The extradition case is only the latest legal challenge facing the brothers. They remain under criminal investigation in Romania on separate human trafficking and rape allegations, which they have also denied.
A federal judge has scheduled the brothers&#8217; next hearing for July 27 as the extradition process continues. If the court determines the treaty requirements are met, the final decision on whether to surrender the brothers to British authorities will rest with Rubio, though administration officials have made clear they currently have no intention of blocking the request.

Democratic Maine Senate hopeful Graham Platner released a video denying the accusations of sexual misconduct, disturbing and abusive behavior, and even rape — but some quickly noticed that his speech sounded familiar.
When viewed side by side with a video from disgraced former Rep. Eric Swalwell (D-CA) — who resigned after multiple women accused him of sexual misconduct and assault — it was so similar that it might easily have been scripted by the same person.

<a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/a-new-sexual-assault-accusation-rocks-maine-democrat-graham-platner">Platner responded</a> after former girlfriend Jenny Racicot came forward, speaking with both Politico and CNN about the night she said Platner showed up at her home and forced himself on her.
&#8220;I wanted to directly address the troubling, serious, and false allegations against me,&#8221; Platner began, speaking directly to the camera. &#8220;Any accusation of nonconsensual behavior is categorically false.&#8221;
Platner then spoke of his constituents, saying that he&#8217;d been &#8220;deeply humbled&#8221; by the amount of faith they&#8217;d placed in him and thanking them for welcoming him into their lives throughout his campaign.
&#8220;So regardless of the inaccuracy of the reporting but mindful of the political reality it will inflict, we are taking the time to reflect on the best path forward for the state that I love, the people that I love, the movement I belong to, and the goal of defeating Susan Collins,&#8221; Platner said, adding, &#8220;As Maine goes, so goes the nation.&#8221;
Swalwell gave a <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/swalwell-wont-drop-out-despite-his-metoo-era-kavanaugh-demand">remarkably similar statement</a> in the wake of sexual misconduct and assault accusations just a few months earlier, also speaking directly to the camera.
&#8220;A lot has been said about me today through anonymous allegations,” Swalwell said at the time. “And I thought it was important that you see and hear from me directly.”
“These allegations of sexual assault are flat false, they’re absolutely false,” he added. “They did not happen. They have never happened. And I will fight them with everything that I have. They also come on the eve of an election where I have been the frontrunner candidate for governor in California.”
“I do not suggest to you in any way that I am perfect or that I’m a saint. I have certainly made mistakes in judgment in my past,” Swalwell continued. “But those mistakes are between me and my wife. And to her, I apologize deeply for putting her in this position. I also apologize to you if in any way you have doubted your support for me. But I think you know who I am.”
Within days of releasing the video, Swalwell had dropped out of the California gubernatorial primary — which he was leading — and resigned from Congress.

Ro Khanna (D-CA) went on national television days later insisting there was &#8220;no evidence of violence&#8221; and that this was his personal red line — a line, it turns out, that hadn&#8217;t yet been crossed in his eyes.

Big names stuck by him through it all: Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA), Sen. Ruben Gallego (D-AZ), Sen. Martin Heinrich (D-NM), former Labor Secretary Robert Reich, and of course Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT), who campaigned at Platner&#8217;s side and later brushed off the mounting allegations of violence against women by <a href="https://www.press.org/newsroom/sanders-takes-aim-trump-mainstream-democrats-corporate-media-remarks">noting</a>, &#8220;There are people in the United States Senate right now who are not saints, I can tell you that.”
So what finally did it? A <a href="https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/2026/07/06/top-democrats-pull-graham-platner-endorsements-call-him-end-maine-senate-campaign/">fresh accusation</a> — this one alleging outright sexual assault, not just &#8220;toxicity&#8221; or bad boyfriend behavior. The moment the word &#8220;assault&#8221; entered the conversation, the dam broke. Senate Democratic leadership, including Chuck Schumer and Kirsten Gillibrand, suddenly found their outrage, declaring the allegations &#8220;incredibly disturbing&#8221; and demanding Platner exit the race immediately. Gallego reversed course and yanked his endorsement. Khanna, who just days earlier had drawn his personal red line well short of these claims, now says the accusations are &#8220;very serious and credible&#8221; and pulled his support too.

Warren joined the chorus urging Platner to step aside. Even Maine&#8217;s own state Democratic Party piled on, framing the flip as a matter of &#8220;judgment&#8221; and &#8220;leadership.&#8221;
Funny how judgment works.
The glaring holdout? Sen. Sanders — one of Platner&#8217;s earliest and loudest cheerleaders — who&#8217;s gone conspicuously silent, declining to answer questions about the new allegation altogether. In May, Sanders refused to answer a reporters&#8217; questions on serious allegations made against Platner.

The Bernie Sanders-backed leftist is working overtime to salvage his campaign after damaging revelations about his personal conduct. The Maine Senate Democratic candidate recently made a trip to Washington to rally establishment support as a wave of opposition research uncovers personal misconduct and raises questions about his suitability to serve in the U.S. Senate.
“I&#8217;m not confident of anything,” Sen. Eric Swalwell (D-CA), accusing the disgraced California Democrat of continuing behavior she said mirrors that of “an alleged predator” after reports emerged that Swalwell is still messaging women connected to the allegations against him through Snapchat.
Speaking with Fox News’ Kayleigh McEnany, Mace reacted to a recent report revealing Swalwell contacted a former intern on Snapchat as recently as this week.“It’s traumatic,” Mace said. “This is very typical behavior of an alleged predator continuing to harass and prey upon their own victims.”
Mace, who has frequently spoken publicly about being a survivor of sexual assault herself, said she has spent years working alongside abuse survivors and argued the continued outreach described in reports reflects familiar patterns of manipulation and intimidation. “I’ve seen it in my own life. I’ve seen it in victims that I’ve been working with,” she said. “A lot of times women — and men too — are attacked and blamed, and that’s what I feel is happening when I read those messages.”

The comments came after a New York Times <a href="https://www.nytimes.com/2026/05/01/us/eric-swalwell-social-media.html?unlocked_article_code=1.fVA.r66S.i6XObba2CjDA&amp;smid=url-share">report</a> detailing Swalwell’s continued use of Snapchat, the same disappearing-message platform central to multiple misconduct allegations that surfaced earlier this year and ultimately ended his California gubernatorial campaign.
According to the report, Swalwell recently messaged a former intern through the app asking why she had screenshotted their chat history. While the reported messages were not sexual in nature, critics argued the contact itself raised further questions given the broader allegations surrounding the former congressman.
At least six women have publicly or anonymously accused Swalwell of misconduct ranging from inappropriate workplace behavior and explicit communications to allegations of sexual assault and non-consensual encounters. Several accusations specifically involve Snapchat exchanges that allegedly included explicit messages and photographs.
One former staffer alleged that while working closely with Swalwell as a 21-year-old aide, the congressman gradually shifted professional communication into private Snapchat conversations that became sexual in nature. Other women have <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/disgraced-dem-eric-swalwells-brazilian-nanny-has-entered-the-chat">alleged</a> unsolicited explicit images, coercive dynamics tied to professional relationships, and hotel encounters involving alcohol and unwanted advances.
Swalwell has denied all allegations and has not been charged criminally in connection with any of the claims, though he is under investigation. Mace argued public officials accused of abusing positions of power should face severe consequences if allegations are substantiated.
“If you are in a position of power, if you are a powerful politician, you must be removed from office,” Mace said. “That’s the only way we’re going to change the culture in this country — by starting at the top.”
Swalwell suspended his gubernatorial campaign in April following the publication of reports by CNN and the San Francisco Chronicle detailing allegations from multiple women. He is also reportedly facing investigations tied to separate allegations in both California and New York.
The controversy has continued to follow Swalwell months after the collapse of his campaign and resignation from congress with critics increasingly focusing not only on the allegations themselves, but on his continued use of disappearing-message platforms to communicate privately with women connected to the accusations.

Katy Perry’s rep called the sexual assault accusations made by actress Ruby Rose about an alleged incident from 20 years ago “categorically false” and categorized them as “reckless lies.”
Rose, an Australian actress, is best known for roles in “Orange Is the New Black” and “John Wick: Chapter 2.” She made the allegations against Perry on Sunday with a series of Threads posts.
It all started with a response to Perry reacting to Justin Bieber’s Coachella performance. Rose wrote, &#8220;Katy Perry sexual assaulted me at spice market nightclub in Melbourne. Who gives a sh** what she thinks.&#8221;
The actress went on to say she was in her &#8220;early 20s&#8221; when the incident allegedly occurred and noted it “has taken almost 2 decades to say this publicly.&#8221;
&#8220;Though I am so grateful to have made it long enough to find my voice, it just shows how much of an impact trauma and sexual assault takes,&#8221; she wrote in a Threads post, as People <a href="https://people.com/katy-perry-denies-ruby-rose-sexual-assault-allegation-11948436">reported</a>.
A rep for Perry denied the claims in a statement shared on Monday, the outlet noted. “The allegations being circulated on social media by Ruby Rose about Katy Perry are not only categorically false, they are dangerous, reckless lies,&#8221; it said. &#8220;Ms. Rose has a well-documented history of making serious public allegations on social media against various individuals, claims that have repeatedly been denied by those named.&#8221;
Rose detailed the incident, claiming Perry, &#8220;saw me &#8216;resting&#8217; on my best friends lap to avoid her and bent down, pulled her underwear to the side and rubbed her disgusting vagina on my face until my eyes snapped open and I projectile vomitted on her.&#8221;
The actress also gave an excuse for not reporting the alleged assault. “&#8230; as a woman, for a myriad of reasons, opening up about W on W [women-on-women] violence and sexual abuse, seems to be 100 times harder than speaking about the male predators, at least for me.&#8221;
When a Threads user asked if she was planning to press charges, Rose said she’s “not interested.”

The actress seemingly changed her mind on Tuesday when she claimed to have filed police reports.

Perry was previously accused of sexual assault in 2019 when actor Josh Kloss who starred in her “Teenage Dream” music video claimed she verbally bullied him during filming and exposed his genitals to others during a party afterwards, as the Los Angeles Times <a href="https://www.latimes.com/entertainment-arts/story/2026-04-13/katy-perry-ruby-rose-sexual-assault-allegations-australia">noted</a>. Shortly after, Georgian Russian television host Tina Kandelaki claimed Perry touched her inappropriately and tried to kiss her without consent at an industry event.
Rose parted ways with Warner Bros. in 2020 after starring as Batwoman Kate Kane. At the time the split was rumored to be mutual, but the following year Rose wrote on social media, &#8220;I did not quit. They ruined Kate Kane and they destroyed Batwoman not me. I followed orders, and if I wanted to stay I was going to have to sign my rights away.&#8221;
Warner Bros. <a href="https://www.latimes.com/entertainment-arts/tv/story/2021-10-20/ruby-rose-batwoman-allegations-cw-warner-bros-tv">responded</a> by saying in reality Rose was fired, saying she was engaging in “revisionist history.”

A 5th woman on Tuesday accused disgraced Democratic Congressman Eric Swalwell of sexual assault, alleging the lawmaker drugged her drink and raped her in Southern California. 
Lonna Drewes, a model who also owned a fashion software company in Beverly Hills, explained at a Tuesday press conference with her attorneys that she had contact with Swalwell in 2018 on three separate occasions. 
“I knew he was married at the time and that his wife was pregnant. He was my friend,&#8221; Drewes said. “On the third occasion, I believe he drugged my drink.” 
During their third meeting, Drewes said she only had one glass of wine. She went with Swalwell to his hotel room for &#8220;paperwork&#8221; he claimed to need — and by the time they arrived at his hotel room, she had become incapacitated and unable to move her body.
“He raped me, and he choked me. And while he was choking me, I lost consciousness,&#8221; Drewes said at the press conference. “And I thought I died. I did not consent to any sexual activity.” 
Drewes said she did not immediately seek a rape kit but documented the alleged assault in her handwritten calendar and later discussed it during therapy sessions at a sexual assault center in Connecticut.
“My delay in taking action against Eric was driven by fear, not doubt. Fear of his political power, his background as an attorney, and his family law enforcement ties,&#8221; Drewes said, adding that she will soon be making a formal report to law enforcement.
Swalwell&#8217;s attorney, Sara Azari, said the former congressman &#8220;categorically and unequivocally denies&#8221; all allegations of sexual misconduct.
&#8220;These accusations are false, fabricated, and deeply offensive – a calculated and transparent political hit job designed to destroy the reputation of a man who has spent twenty years in public service,&#8221; <a href="https://x.com/azarilaw/status/2044144837113344170?s=20">Azaria said in a statement. </a>
&#8220;We are confident the truth will prevail, and we will pursue every available legal remedy against those responsible for orchestrating this reprehensible campaign of lies,&#8221; she added.

Lisa Bloom, the attorney for Lonna Drewes, says that three other women have reached out to her since she announced a press conference yesterday.
“Justice now are the criminal investigations,” Bloom said. “Losing one’s job is not a sufficient consequence for these types of allegations.”
Bloom called Swalwell&#8217;s response to the sexual assault allegations a &#8220;slap in the face to the victims.&#8221;
