Imagine your teenage son goes upstairs to do homework — and just hours later, you discover he has taken his own life. For <a href="https://www.usatoday.com/story/life/health-wellness/2025/02/25/teenage-boys-mental-health-suicide-sextortion-scams/78258882007/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">too many families</a>, this nightmare is a grim reality, the result of a rapidly growing and devastating crime known as sextortion. 
Sextortion is a powerful form of exploitation where predators trick and coerce victims, often young boys, into sending explicit images online. The exploiters often pose as teen girls and reach out with flirtatious messages. This is no haphazard operation, research has found that thousands of Instagram accounts perpetrating sextortion were linked to <a href="https://www.ibtimes.co.uk/meta-takes-down-63k-instagram-accounts-5700-facebook-groups-1300-facebook-accounts-linked-1725744" target="_blank" rel="noopener">only 20-25 individuals</a> — in other words, this is often an organized criminal activity, something no teenager is prepared to go up against. They are trained and skilled at building trust quickly, shifting the conversation to sexual topics and eventually sending pictures or videos and requesting some in return.
In mere minutes, the blackmail begins. Predators threaten to expose the victim’s nude photos to their contacts or social media connections unless they pay a demanded sum — fueling fear, shame, and deterring them from seeking help. To heighten the pressure, some blackmailers may falsely accuse teens of criminal activity, warning that they could end up on sex offender registries.
For some, the shame and fear of being exposed are so overwhelming that they see no way out, leading to tragic actions like suicide within mere hours of being targeted.
Sextortion has been connected to dozens of deaths of teen boys by suicide in <a href="https://www.fbi.gov/contact-us/field-offices/sacramento/news/sextortion-a-growing-threat-preying-upon-our-nations-teens#:~:text=The%20sextortion%20involved%20at%20least,the%20activity%20to%20law%20enforcement." target="_blank" rel="noopener">recent</a> years. Tragically, these numbers are likely underreported as family members may not know the circumstance that led to a loved one’s death by suicide.
There are an average of 812 reports of sextortion <a href="https://www.thorn.org/research/library/financial-sextortion/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">per week</a>, according to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
This crisis demands immediate attention and action.
For too long, online platforms have failed to prioritize safety. Take Snapchat, for example. New Mexico’s attorney general recently brought a lawsuit against Snapchat. According to a report from <a href="https://www.nbcnews.com/tech/social-media/new-mexico-attorney-general-says-internal-snap-documents-show-company-rcna173486" target="_blank" rel="noopener">NBC News</a>, documents from the lawsuit reveal “‘Snap employees were discussing 10,000 user reports of sextortion each month,’ which is most likely ‘a small fraction of this abuse.’”
“In addition, the suit alleges internal documents show that reports of grooming and sextortion made about specific users largely went unanswered or unaddressed,” according to NBC NEWS.
Meta’s Instagram appears to be the <a href="https://info.thorn.org/hubfs/Research/Thorn_TrendsInFinancialSextortion_June2024.pdf?sm_guid=NzcxOTIyfDc4MzA5NjAxfC0xfGNlc2VAbmNvc2UuY29tfDcyMDIwMTJ8fDB8MHwyMjU0MzA0NTd8MTEzMnwwfDB8fDc2NjM5Nnww0" target="_blank" rel="noopener">#1 platform for sextortion</a>. One key reason is the availability of follower lists, which predators can leverage against victims. While the platform has <a href="https://about.fb.com/news/2024/04/new-tools-to-help-protect-against-sextortion-and-intimate-image-abuse/">taken steps</a> to identify and protect kids from sextortion, there’s still more they can do to prioritize the safety of minors.
According to <a href="https://www.thorn.org/research/library/financial-sextortion/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">a report</a> from Thorn titled “Trends in Financial Sextortion,” online payments are another avenue for exploitation. “The most common payment methods were Cash App and gift cards, followed by other easy-use payment apps such as PayPal and Venmo. The dominance of gift cards and Cash App has slightly increased over time relative to other payment services.”
With Cash App ranking as the <a href="https://info.thorn.org/hubfs/Research/Thorn_TrendsInFinancialSextortion_June2024.pdf" target="_blank" rel="noopener">#1 payment method</a> for financial sextortion, there is valid concern over many of their default features like public profiles and limited identity verification. These vulnerabilities could expose younger users to predatory behavior.
It is time to require a higher standard of care from online platforms.
One vital step to combat sextortion and image-based sexual abuse (IBSA) is the “Take It Down Act,” a bipartisan bill sponsored by Senators Ted Cruz (R-TX) and Amy Klobuchar (D-MN). This legislation has already gained significant momentum, passing unanimously in the Senate. Now, it is time for the House to act and make this bill law.
The “Take It Down Act” is a bold step toward creating meaningful protections for sextortion victims and victims of nonconsensually-shared explicit content. It addresses the crisis in two key ways, first, by mandating quick removal of harmful content, and then by criminalizing image-based abuse. Under the &#8220;Take It Down Act,&#8221; social media platforms and websites would be legally required to remove explicit images within 48 hours of a survivor’s request. These platforms must also make efforts to prevent the images&#8217; reappearance, reducing the cycle of trauma for victims. This bill also makes it a federal crime to publish explicit images of a person without their consent, including AI-generated or “deepfake” content. This brings critical accountability to perpetrators who weaponize private imagery.
By passing this legislation, Congress can empower victims to regain control while ensuring that perpetrators face appropriate consequences for their actions.
For young boys targeted by sextortion, the bill’s immediate removal mandate could mean the difference between life and death, offering assurance that exposure is not inevitable and their situation is not hopeless.

The children of <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/sean-diddy-combs">Sean “Diddy” Combs</a> are speaking out following his arrest for multiple crimes, including sex trafficking.
The collaborative social media post was shared on Tuesday by Quincy Taylor Brown, 33, Justin Dior Combs, 30, Christian Combs, 26, Chance Combs, 18, Jessie Combs, 17, and D’Lila Combs, 17. It says they fully support and stand by their dad and his claims of innocence. Combs’ seventh child, Love Sean, is two years old and was not added to the statement.
“The past month has devastated our family. Many have judged both him and us based on accusations, conspiracy theories and false narratives that have spiraled into absurdity on social media,” the post says.
“We stand united, supporting you every step of the way. We hold onto the truth, knowing it will prevail, and nothing will break the strength of our family. WE MISS YOU &amp; LOVE YOU DAD,” it said.

Combs is being held at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn following his arrest in September. The <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/entertainment">rapper</a> was charged with racketeering, sex trafficking, and transportation to engage in prostitution. Combs was denied bail by two judges and will remain incarcerated until his trial begins in May 2025.

The maximum sentence on all charges is life in prison. Combs is being hit with additional lawsuits from more plaintiffs, with <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/diddy-faces-more-than-120-additional-abuse-lawsuits-from-at-least-25-minors" target="_blank" rel="noopener">more than 120</a> individuals, including at least 25 minors, accusing the recording artist of sexual abuse.
Combs’ mother previously released a statement supporting her son, calling the charges untrue. 
“It is heartbreaking to see my son judged not for the truth, but for a narrative created out of lies,” Janice Small Combs said in a statement earlier this month, as The Daily Wire previously <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/diddys-mom-calls-reaction-to-sex-abuse-charges-a-public-lynching">reported</a>. 
“To bear witness what seems to be like a public lynching of my son before he has had the opportunity to prove his innocence is a pain too unbearable to put into words. Like every human being, my son deserves to have his day in court, to finally share his side, and to prove his innocence.”
She added, “Watching the world make jokes and laugh at my son’s life crumbling before our eyes is something I can never forget. It is truly agonizing to watch the world turn against my son so quickly and easily over lies and misconceptions, without ever hearing his side or affording him the opportunity to present his side.”

On Wednesday, most <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/house-democrats" target="_blank" rel="noopener">House Democrats</a> voted against legislation that seeks to ensure that illegal immigrants who commit sex crimes and domestic violence can be deported from the United States.
The bill, called the &#8220;Violence Against Women by Illegal Aliens Act,&#8221; <a href="https://clerk.house.gov/Votes/2024429" target="_blank" rel="noopener">passed</a> with the support of 215 Republicans and 51 Democrats. Another 158 Democrats and no Republicans voted against it. Seven other lawmakers did not vote.
Rep. <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/nancy-mace" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Nancy Mace</a> (R-SC), who introduced the legislation earlier this year, <a href="https://x.com/RepNancyMace/status/1836535592341114924">said</a> on X that &#8220;158 Left-wing members of Congress just voted against deporting rapists, pedophiles and murderers of women and kids.&#8221;
The bill <a href="https://www.congress.gov/bill/118th-congress/house-bill/7909/text" target="_blank" rel="noopener">states</a> that it would &#8220;amend the Immigration and Nationality Act to provide that aliens who have been convicted of or who have committed sex offenses or domestic violence are inadmissible and deportable.&#8221;
It also contains provisions that apply to crimes of stalking, child abuse, child neglect, child abandonment, or violating the portion of a protection order &#8220;against credible threats of violence, repeated harassment, or bodily injury.&#8221;
Rep. Jerry Nadler (D-NY), the top Democrat on the Judiciary Committee, <a href="https://www.c-span.org/video/?538482-3/house-session-part-2" target="_blank" rel="noopener">claimed</a> the bill has &#8220;redundancies&#8221; that &#8220;all but ensure that no additional dangerous individuals would face immigration consequences if it were to become law.&#8221;

The chairwoman of the Congressional Progressive Caucus, Rep. Pramila Jayapal (D-WA), <a href="https://www.c-span.org/video/?538482-3/house-session-part-2" target="_blank" rel="noopener">bemoaned</a> how lawmakers were &#8220;debating another partisan bill that fear mongers about immigrants instead of working together to fix the immigration system.&#8221;
But, <a href="https://mace.house.gov/media/press-releases/rep-nancy-mace-bill-violence-against-women-illegal-aliens-act-passes-house" target="_blank" rel="noopener">according to</a> Rep. Tom McClintock (R-CA), the bill &#8220;removes any loopholes in current law and requires that illegal aliens who commit sex offenses or domestic violence are not to be allowed into this country anymore and must be immediately removed from our country when they&#8217;re found.&#8221;
And, citing a specific area of concern, Mace <a href="https://x.com/RepNancyMace/status/1836535592341114924" target="_blank" rel="noopener">said</a> Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas argued in a September 2021 memo that &#8220;domestic violence shouldn’t be categorical grounds to apprehend and remove an illegal alien.&#8221;
The bill now heads to the Democrat-controlled Senate, where it may or may not be taken up for consideration. In the meantime, the fact that 158 House Democrats opposed the legislation gave Republicans a new attack line in the lead-up to the November election.

Some of the most revealing moments from the sordid saga of Jeffrey Epstein came when government officials were asked direct questions, then ducked them without any real explanation. Case in point: Five years ago, the Labor Secretary at the time, Alex Acosta, was speaking to reporters about his handling of the first Epstein criminal case from 2008, when Acosta was a U.S. Attorney in Florida. This was the press conference right before Acosta&#8217;s resignation as Labor Secretary. For roughly an hour, Acosta tried to explain why his office had offered an extremely lenient <a href="https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/labor-secretary-to-hold-news-conference-to-defend-himself-amid-outcry-over-handling-of-epstein-plea-deal/2019/07/10/b136b9a4-a321-11e9-b7b4-95e30869bd15_story.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">plea deal</a> to Epstein — one that offered immunity to his co-conspirators, and barely required Epstein to spend any time in a jail cell. Acosta was generally responsive to most questions during this press conference. In fact, at one point, he waved off his assistant who wanted to end the press conference early.
But there was one question that Alex Acosta very clearly did not want to answer. It concerned <a href="https://talkingpointsmemo.com/edblog/i-was-told-epstein-belonged-to-intelligence-and-to-leave-it-alone" target="_blank" rel="noopener">reporting</a> in the Daily Beast that, in a discussion with Trump administration officials before his appointment as Labor Secretary, Alex Acosta had said that Epstein, &#8220;belonged to intelligence.&#8221; In other words, Acosta had reportedly suggested to the Trump team that, when he was the U.S. Attorney, he was told by senior U.S. government officials to go easy on Epstein so that he could stay out of jail. Presumably, the idea was that Epstein could then continue connecting various powerful figures to his sex-trafficking ring. That would, in turn, benefit U.S. intelligence agencies in some way. Maybe they might want to blackmail Epstein&#8217;s associates or collect information about them, for example.
Here&#8217;s how Alex Acosta answered — or rather, didn&#8217;t answer — a reporter&#8217;s question about the Daily Beast&#8217;s reporting:

That wasn&#8217;t exactly a denial. Instead of saying, &#8220;No, I wasn&#8217;t told to go easy on Jeffrey Epstein because he &#8216;belonged to intelligence,'&#8221; Alex Acosta said that department policy prevented him from offering any kind of response. It&#8217;s not hard to conclude that Acosta was hiding something. That&#8217;s especially true since, according to public documents in Epstein&#8217;s plea deal, it&#8217;s stated that Epstein had <a href="https://x.com/TheViewFromLL2/status/1149424300438577153" target="_blank" rel="noopener">agreed</a> to provide, &#8220;information to the FBI.&#8221;
The government&#8217;s handling of Epstein&#8217;s case raised the obvious question of how many other deviants like Epstein might enjoy protection from the government, in one way or the other. How many other sex traffickers have been operating with impunity because the government is deliberately looking the other way?

That&#8217;s a particularly important question to be asking after what happened yesterday involving Sean Combs — a.k.a. Diddy, a.k.a. Puff Daddy, a.k.a. P. Diddy. The U.S. Attorney in the Southern District of New York held a press conference announcing a series of criminal charges against Combs, including racketeering and sex trafficking. And by the U.S. Attorney&#8217;s own admission, these alleged offenses have been occurring for a very long time, and often involved something that Combs called &#8220;freak-offs.&#8221; Watch:

According to the U.S. Attorney, there&#8217;s overwhelming evidence that these illegal &#8220;freak-offs&#8221; occurred, such as text messages, videos, and more than a thousand bottles of baby oil and lubricant. As soon as the feds executed the search warrants earlier this year on two of Combs&#8217; mansions, the evidence was all there. And according to the indictment that was unsealed yesterday, there&#8217;s also a lot of evidence that Sean Combs has been committing serious crimes for the past decade, right <a href="https://drive.google.com/file/u/1/d/1iSrpU9eql323koZY7Omi0TmOWzrIOpSQ/view" target="_blank" rel="noopener">out in the open</a>: &#8220;Physical abuse by Sean Combs &#8230;. was recurrent and widely known. On numerous occasions from at least in or about 2009 and continuing for years, Combs assaulted women by, among other things, striking, punching, dragging, throwing objects at, and kicking them.&#8221; That&#8217;s directly from the Grand Jury indictment.

What&#8217;s not stated in the Grand Jury indictment is why this &#8220;widely known&#8221; conduct was ignored for so long. Why wasn&#8217;t Sean Combs charged criminally for any of this conduct at any point until yesterday? Why was he allowed to allegedly commit crimes that were, &#8220;recurrent and widely known&#8221; ever since 2009? As it happens, that was the very first question that the U.S. Attorney received at yesterday&#8217;s press conference. Here&#8217;s how the U.S. Attorney responded:

Like Alex Acosta, he has no answer whatsoever. But this is the single most important question he was asked during the entire press conference. How exactly can people have any confidence in the government, or federal prosecutors, if — by their own admission — it takes them well over a decade to bring charges when someone is allegedly committing crimes that are &#8220;recurrent and widely known&#8221;? Why exactly shouldn&#8217;t we believe that P. Diddy was being protected for some reason, just like Jeffrey Epstein was apparently protected? 
At this point, the burden of proof is not on us to answer that question. The burden is on the government.
It certainly looks as though there was ample reason to at least investigate Combs, going back a long time. There&#8217;s so much creepy and inappropriate footage involving Sean Combs that we could spend all day going through it. These kinds of videos have been all over the Internet for years. Did anyone in the government follow up on any of this? Did they ask anyone any questions about them? Did they apply for any kind of search warrant to look closer at Sean Combs&#8217; text messages, or to look for incriminating evidence on his properties? If not, why not? And for that matter, why wasn&#8217;t Combs charged after this video surfaced from a hotel in 2016, which appears to show him violently beating a woman on camera? Watch:

How exactly did that footage stay hidden for so long — long enough that the statute of limitations ran out, and local prosecutors couldn&#8217;t bring charges anymore? That&#8217;s the kind of question that a lot of people in the entertainment industry have been asking for a very long time. When there are multiple videos where you appear to be committing a crime, or engaging in very bizarre and disturbing conduct, then under normal circumstances you&#8217;d expect some follow-up. But there wasn&#8217;t any follow-up here. For his part, Kanye West repeatedly called Sean Combs a &#8220;fed&#8221; — both in interviews, and in text messages — probably because there didn&#8217;t appear to be any other rational explanation for how he could get away with this for more than a decade. How can anyone engage in conduct like this, without suffering any consequences for it, for so long?
One theory is that, like Epstein, Sean Combs was very well-connected with powerful people in Washington. In April of 2020, for example, Kamala Harris tweeted out <a href="https://x.com/KamalaHarris/status/1248624302682828802" target="_blank" rel="noopener">this message</a>: 
&#8220;Thank you, @Diddy, for hosting this town hall last night. There&#8217;s a lot at stake for our communities right now and it&#8217;s critical we bring to the forefront how coronavirus is perpetuating racial inequality and health disparities.&#8221;
So Sean Combs was helping to push Democrats&#8217; messaging that COVID was racist. This was during the summer of 2020, when calling everything racist was the Democrats&#8217; official campaign strategy. Meanwhile, other prominent &#8220;entertainers&#8221; — people like Jimmy Kimmel — suggested that Sean Combs could serve as president of the United States. After all, he&#8217;s not morally bankrupt like Donald Trump, right? Watch:

One of the main takeaways from this is that the entertainment industry is full of extravagantly degenerate scumbags. These are people engaging in debauchery and opulence once reserved for the most corrupt Roman emperors. Diddy produced some low IQ gangsta rap in the 90s and found himself in the same position. This is why so much of what the entertainment industry produces is garbage. It’s made by morally reprobate parasites. These aren’t flawed artistic geniuses like we’ve had in the past, but vacuous airheads who’ve figured out how to sell trash to an audience even more vapid than they are.

Meanwhile, the &#8220;#MeToo&#8221; movement successfully canceled a lot of guys for some bad dates, but somehow it missed Sean Combs. Somehow he flew under the radar for more than a decade, even though, according to yesterday&#8217;s indictment, he wasn&#8217;t particularly good at hiding what he was doing. If those details are true, Sean Combs is an Epstein-level monster, if not worse. And yet no one did anything about it.
The question now is whether Sean Combs will meet the same fate as Jeffrey Epstein. Combs was just denied bail, even though his defense team offered to put up a $50 million bond, secured by his various properties. That&#8217;s a sign that he&#8217;ll be staying in jail at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn for a very long time. So as with Epstein, the government is now bringing down the hammer on Sean Combs, abruptly and without any real explanation. And if the Epstein case is any indication, we probably will never get an explanation.
All we can say with certainty is that a lot of people in Sean Combs&#8217; orbit are probably very nervous right now. And in turn, that should make Sean Combs himself very nervous. Five years after the death of Jeffrey Epstein, we&#8217;re no closer to getting a full explanation of his crimes or who he was associated with. Instead, with the arrest of Sean Combs and the sudden disclosure of his &#8220;freak offs&#8221;, there&#8217;s reason to think that yet another massive coverup is already underway.

A previously deported <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/illegal-immigration" target="_blank" rel="noopener">illegal immigrant</a> has been charged in <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/florida" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Florida</a> with sexually assaulting a 14-year-old girl.
Kevin Mauricio Escobar Munoz, 20, was <a href="https://www.facebook.com/photo?fbid=915842907249893&amp;set=pcb.915845320582985" target="_blank" rel="noopener">arrested</a> on Wednesday by the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office for sexual assault and burglary with battery. According to police, Escobar Munoz broke into the 14-year-old victim&#8217;s home and then sexually assaulted her.
Escobar Munoz is an illegal immigrant from Honduras and was previously deported in September 2022. He is currently in Okaloosa County Jail with an Immigration and Customs Enforcement detainer placed on him.
The girl was attacked back in April and investigators said they just matched DNA to Escobar Munoz.
“The victim told investigators that she awoke in her home located in Fort Walton Beach shortly before 7:00 a.m. on April 21st to a Hispanic male she did not know sexually assaulting her,” the sheriff’s office said in a news release. “She reported that he covered her mouth with his hand and spoke Spanish.”
Law enforcement said that the girl said she believed the attacker left her home by going out the back door.
“A medical examination of the victim showed a positive finding for sexual abuse. On July 11th, the Florida Department of Law Enforcement reported the male DNA profile which matched the contributing male sample from the victim’s sexual assault kit belonged to Escobar Munoz,” the sheriff’s office said.
According to investigators, Escobar Munoz was living within one mile of where the victim lived.
In a press conference, Okaloosa County Sheriff Eric Aden said that the southern border needed to be secured and that illegal immigration needs to end.

Aden cited another case from the county where 24-year-old Jose Chan, an illegal immigrant from Guatemala, was arrested over the assault of another 14-year-old girl.
&#8220;These are two 14-year-old young girls and young girls have been prayed upon by illegal aliens,&#8221; he said. &#8220;Ask yourself at what point does it stop?&#8221;

<a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/american-airlines" target="_blank" rel="noopener">American Airlines</a> is backing away from its court filing blaming a nine-year-old girl for not noticing the hidden camera a flight attendant allegedly planted in the aircraft&#8217;s bathroom.
A former American flight attendant is accused of taping his iPhone to the toilet seat and then luring young girls to use the airplane bathroom.
Attorneys for the airline initially blamed the child, saying in a court filing that any injuries the girl suffered were due to her “own fault and negligence, were proximately caused by [her] use of the compromised lavatory, which she knew or should have known contained a visible and illuminated recording device.”
On Thursday, however, the airline distanced itself from that accusation.
An American Airlines spokesperson <a href="https://apnews.com/article/american-airlines-blames-girl-hidden-camera-4b474bf3d8c8803872dbb7e12032d13e" target="_blank" rel="noopener">said</a> that external attorneys working for the airline had “made an error in this filing.”
“Our outside legal counsel retained with our insurance company made an error in this filing. The included defense is not representative of our airline and we have directed it be amended this morning,&#8221; the spokesperson said. &#8220;We do not believe this child is at fault and we take the allegations involving a former team member very seriously. Our core mission is to care for people — and the foundation of that is the safety and security of our customers and team.”
The 9-year-old’s family sued American Airlines after the FBI informed them that videos of their daughter were found on the former flight attendant&#8217;s phone. The family had flown from Texas to California last year.
The fired flight attendant, Estes Carter Thompson III, 36, pled not guilty this week to charges of attempted sexual exploitation of children and possession of images of child sexual abuse.

Thomas is accused of having recordings of four girls, including the nine-year-old, using bathrooms on flights. He is also accused of trying to secretly record a video of a 14-year-old girl using the bathroom on a flight from Charlotte, North Carolina, to Boston.
He was arrested in January and has remained in federal custody since then.
The court filing was amended on Wednesday. The new filing does not include the accusation that the girl&#8217;s injuries were her own fault. The case is making its way through a state district court in Austin.
On Tuesday, an attorney representing the 9-year-old, as well as the 14-year-old, excoriated the airline&#8217;s defense.
“To blame a 9 year old for being filmed while using the airplane bathroom is both shocking and outrageous,” attorney Paul Llewellyn <a href="https://thehill.com/homenews/4678026-american-airlines-says-filing-blaming-9-year-old-in-bathroom-recording-case-was-an-error/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">said</a>.
“In my opinion this is a depraved legal strategy that sinks to a new low. American Airlines should be thoroughly ashamed of themselves,” he added.
The 9-year-old’s mother <a href="https://thehill.com/homenews/4678026-american-airlines-says-filing-blaming-9-year-old-in-bathroom-recording-case-was-an-error/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">said</a> in a statement through her attorney, “How in good conscience could they even make such a suggestion?”
Thompson is due in federal court in Boston on July 1.

An illegal immigrant from Guatemala accused of child molestation was released from prison last month by authorities in <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/rhode-island" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Rhode Island</a> before federal immigration officials could take him into custody.
Immigration and Customs Enforcement <a href="https://www.ice.gov/news/releases/ero-boston-apprehends-guatemalan-citizen-arrested-locally-first-degree-child" target="_blank" rel="noopener">said</a> on Friday that they had arrested a 22-year-old illegal immigrant wanted on domestic assault and first-degree child molestation on April 10. The arrest came hours after the Sixth District Court of Rhode Island had ordered him released onto the streets of Providence before ICE could take him into custody.
Providence is a sanctuary city and ignored the detainer that had been placed on the illegal immigrant by ICE.
“This unlawfully present individual was arrested locally on first degree child molestation charges and was released back into the community despite an immigration detainer,” said ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations Boston Field Office Director Todd Lyons. “We believe it is in the interest of the community that jurisdictions honor our immigration detainers so that ICE can take direct custody of individuals like this who pose a threat to residents.”
“ERO Boston hopes to cooperate with our local partners in Rhode Island to help make safer neighborhoods for everyone in the state and throughout New England,” Lyons added.
According to ICE, the illegal immigrant, who was not named, illegally entered the United States around Nogales, Arizona, where he was apprehended by Border Patrol in November 2018. He would have been around 16-years-old at the time and he was released into the country and given a court date.
Four years later, the Providence Police Department issued a warrant for his arrest on sexual assault and child molestation charges on November 21, 2022. He was not arrested until February 28, 2024 when police nabbed him on domestic assault charges in addition to the previous charges.

After the arrest, ICE placed an immigration detainer on him, but he was released on April 10 by a Rhode Island court.
“Later that day, ERO Boston deportation officers in Rhode Island arrested him without incident in Providence. He will be held in ICE custody pending a future hearing before a Department of Justice immigration judge,” ICE said.
In recent weeks, ICE has been drawing attention to the release of illegal immigrants charged with serious crimes in New England, The Daily Caller <a href="https://dailycaller.com/2024/05/03/blue-state-releases-child-molester-ice/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">reported</a>. Last month, a 26-year-old Honduran <a href="https://dailycaller.com/2024/04/19/illegal-alien-sexual-assault-minor-ice/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">accused</a> first-degree sexual assault of a minor was released by Connecticut authorities who ignored an immigration detainer placed on him by ICE.

ICE Responds After Sanctuary City Releases Illegal Immigrant Accused Of Child Molestation

Every state makes it a crime to intentionally injure someone — like shooting or stabbing them without justification.
That’s why it has long been a crime in most states to intentionally infect someone with a disease — including a sexually transmitted disease (STD). After all, the consequences of an STD can be just as long lasting and deadly as if the perpetrator shot or stabbed the victim.
But apparently the Biden administration disagrees. Led by radical Assistant Attorney General <a href="https://www.dailysignal.com/2021/06/28/the-justice-departments-lawsuit-against-georgia-is-completely-partisan/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Kristen Clarke</a>, the Justice Department’s Civil Rights Division is suing Tennessee for attempting to enforce a statute that is designed to protect the public from HIV-positive prostitutes.
According to Clarke and her cronies, Tennessee’s attempt to protect is citizens is actually thinly veiled <a href="https://www.justice.gov/opa/pr/justice-department-sues-tennessee-enforcing-state-law-discriminates-against-people-hiv" target="_blank" rel="noopener">discrimination</a> that violates the Americans with Disabilities Act.
In addition to Clarke, the zealots who filed this lawsuit against Tennessee include Disability Rights Section Chief Rebecca Bond, Deputy Chief Kevin Kijewski, Trial Attorney Stephanie Berger, and Trial Attorney Ali Szemanski. A brief look through their resumes — even those of the lower-ranking trial attorneys — shows that they have worked for various organizations that support the far-Left’s pet projects.
For example, <a href="https://www.linkedin.com/in/stephanie-berger-914b448" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Berger</a> previously spent several years working for the Empire State Pride Agenda, which disbanded after then-New York Governor Andrew Cuomo signed an executive order protecting transgender rights. And <a href="https://www.linkedin.com/in/ali-szemanski-7b448042" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Szemanski</a> previously worked or interned for the Lawyers Committee for Civil Rights of Boston, the ACLU of Pennsylvania, the Charles Hamilton Houston Institute for Race &amp; Justice, and the MacArthur Justice Center.
These connections to the radical Left shouldn’t come as a surprise. The politicized and Left-leaning hiring practices within the Justice Department’s Civil Rights Division have been a <a href="https://oig.justice.gov/reports/2013/s1303.pdf" target="_blank" rel="noopener">long-standing problem</a>. Only a full embrace of the far-Left’s worldview can explain the filing of this otherwise inexplicable lawsuit.
Passed in 1991 at the height of the AIDS epidemic, Tennessee’s <a href="https://www.tn.gov/content/dam/tn/health/program-areas/39-13-516.pdf" target="_blank" rel="noopener">aggravated prostitution statute</a> provides that a “person commits aggravated prostitution when, knowing that such person is infected with HIV, the person engages in sexual activity as a business or is an inmate in a house of prostitution or loiters in a public place for the purpose of being hired to engage in sexual activity.” In other words, if a person knows he or she has HIV and engages in prostitution (itself a crime), then that person faces harsher penalties.
According to the Biden Justice Department, however, this is discrimination because it unfairly treats individuals differently based solely on their HIV-positive status and “does not require prosecuting entities to make any individualized determinations in order to achieve a conviction.”
But think that through: It’s not discrimination to prosecute an alcoholic for driving while under the influence. And it’s not discrimination to prosecute a drug addict for possessing or selling drugs. Tennessee isn’t prosecuting and punishing people based on their status but instead is prosecuting and punishing them based on their conduct and the risk of harm that conduct poses to the community. It’s why most states prosecute armed robbery more harshly than unarmed robbery — lawmakers view the former as posing a greater risk, and being more harmful, to the community. The same is true here.
Of course, the Justice Department doesn’t have a sound legal argument against this. They simply allege that since “the passage of Tennessee’s aggravated prostitution statute, there has been significant progress in the understanding of and treatment of HIV.” According to them, “beliefs and assumptions that individuals with HIV will spread it, or that having HIV is a death sentence, are now outdated and unfounded.”
That may well be true, but as that same filing readily admits, that largely depends on following proper protocols for medication and treatment. Furthermore, Tennessee isn’t targeting the HIV population at large — only those who know they are infected and are engaging in the crime of prostitution where the transmission risk is likely much higher than in other settings.

Why shouldn&#8217;t Tennessee be able to punish criminal conduct with aggravating circumstances such as these more severely? After all, no one is seriously contending that engaging in prostitution while being HIV-positive is less dangerous and less harmful than doing so without.
The Justice Department filing identifies “Complainant A” as one of the “victims” of Tennessee’s supposedly discriminatory law. According to the Justice Department, “Complainant A is a Black transgender woman who lives in Memphis, Tennessee.” This individual had HIV, knew it, and engaged in “prostitution near a church or school.” Tennessee charged this individual with aggravated prostitution, which of course comes with the subsequent sex-offender registration requirements and other collateral consequences.
Because Tennessee simply enforced the law, the Justice Department now says the state discriminated against this individual. In fact, they’re asking the court to prohibit any further enforcement of Tennessee’s aggravated prostitution statute, remove individuals from the sex-offender registry who have been convicted of aggravated prostitution, terminate reporting requirements for individuals on the sex-offender registry who have been convicted of aggravated prostitution, expunge their records, and provide compensatory damages (money!) to Complainant A and others the Justice Department has deemed harmed.
With all the problems facing the Biden administration this year, their dedication to extorting everyday Americans to advance a radical social agenda is astounding. Americans deserve, and should expect, more from a department supposedly dedicated to seeking justice. Enough is enough.

Rowling went on to say that the defense of such predators — trans-identifying males who demand to be housed in women&#8217;s prisons despite records that show them to be a danger to women — was a concerted effort to prevent the breakdown of the defenses offered when trans-identifying men demand access to other women&#8217;s spaces.
&#8220;Such activists can&#8217;t bring themselves to concede that a man who was convicted of harming women/girls ought not to be incarcerated with the demographic to whom he is a proven danger, because if they do, all their stock arguments (&#8216;no sexual predator would bother to pretend to be trans&#8217;, &#8216;no trans woman has ever harmed a woman in a women&#8217;s only space&#8217;, &#8216;there is no danger in making all single sex spaces unisex&#8217;) are exposed as the lies they are,&#8221; she said.
&#8220;If they admit that even a single man isn&#8217;t a woman because he says he is, the entire edifice of gender identity ideology crumbles,&#8221; Rowling continued, noting that once that &#8220;edifice&#8221; begins to crumble, the activists are left with little recourse beyond simply screaming that any detractor must be transphobic.
&#8220;This leaves activists who rely on bullying and slogans with nowhere to go but &#8216;you hate all trans people&#8217;, &#8216;so you&#8217;re saying all trans people are rapists&#8217; and, of course, &#8216;you are causing a trans genocide.&#8217; I think this particular issue also causes conniptions because it threatens the activists&#8217; self image,&#8221; she explained. &#8220;These are people who preen themselves on their kindness and virtue, so acknowledging the truth — that they&#8217;re indifferent to vulnerable women being assaulted or traumatised — threatens the idea they have of themselves.&#8221;

Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) announced the arrest of 26 illegal immigrant sexual predators during a three-day operation in <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/los-angeles" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Los Angeles</a> last week. 
The operation, carried out by ICE’s Enforcement and Removal Operations, <a href="https://www.ice.gov/news/releases/ero-los-angeles-arrests-26-convicted-sexual-predators-local-2-day-operation#:~:text=%22The%20outcome%20of%20this%20operation,Los%20Angeles%20FOD%20Thomas%20Giles." target="_blank" rel="noopener">was conducted</a> from December 18-20. The crimes committed by the illegal immigrants included crimes against children by individuals from Mexico, El Salvador, and Guatemala. 
&#8220;The outcome of this operation exemplifies the professionalism, dedication and commitment of ERO Los Angeles officers to public safety,&#8221; said ERO Los Angeles FOD Thomas Giles. “Removing these individuals and the threats they represent from our communities is our mission, and we will continue to safely and effectively enforce the immigration laws of our nation.&#8221;
The arrests take place as illegal crossings at the border under President Joe Biden <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/a-serious-challenge-illegal-border-crossings-surge-in-november-to-record-high" target="_blank" rel="noopener">continue to set records</a>, including nearly 250,000 crossings in November. CBP numbers <a href="https://www.cbp.gov/newsroom/national-media-release/cbp-releases-november-2023-monthly-update">released last week</a> show that they recorded 242,418 encounters last month, the highest November <a href="https://nypost.com/2023/12/22/news/242000-migrants-tried-to-cross-into-us-over-southern-border-in-november/">ever</a> and the third highest monthly total overall.
ICE highlighted three individuals taken into custody during the operation, including a 19-year-old from El Salvador convicted of felony sexual forcible oral copulation of a minor over 14 years old and battery by restraint
A 40-year-old from Mexico who was convicted for a felony lewd acts with a child and continuous sexual abuse was also picked up during the operation. A 35-year-old from Guatemala, convicted of felony child molestation in an inhabited dwelling, was also arrested by ICE for removal.

ICE noted that in fiscal year 2022, it had arrested 46,396 foreign nationals with criminal history, including  individuals with 8,164 sex and sexual assault offenses. The other crimes included 21,531 assault offenses, 5,554 weapons offenses, 1,501 homicide-related offenses, and 1,114 kidnapping offenses.
Last month, 37-year-old Saulo Cardona Ferreira, an illegal immigrant from Brazil convicted of raping a child, was<a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/illegal-immigrant-raped-a-five-year-old-in-brazil-ice-caught-him-in-marthas-vineyard" target="_blank" rel="noopener"> arrested</a> by ICE in Martha’s Vineyard in Massachusetts.
“This undocumented Brazilian national represented a significant threat to the inhabitants of Martha’s Vineyard. He sexually assaulted a five-year-old child in his homeland and then ran from authorities when held accountable for his actions,” ICE said in a statement. 
Illegal crossings at the U.S.-Mexico border have remained high in December, with reporters <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/nbc-reporter-stunned-by-number-of-illegal-border-crossings-crowds-have-never-been-this-large-during-my-reporting">being stunned</a> at the number of people entering into the U.S. through Mexico.

A federal judge has ordered that documents containing the names of some of the associates of deceased financier and pedophile <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/jeffrey-epstein" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Jeffrey Epstein</a> be released in 2024. 
The documents to be released come from a 2017 civil trial brought by Virginia Giuffre, who said that Ghislaine Maxwell facilitated Epstein’s sex trafficking of her. The names of roughly 150 associates are <a href="https://abcnews.go.com/US/federal-judge-orders-documents-naming-jeffrey-epsteins-associates/story?id=105779882#:~:text=More%20than%20150%20people%20are%20expected%20to%20be%20identified%20in%20early%20January.&amp;text=A%20federal%20judge%20in%20New,scores%20of%20Jeffrey%20Epstein's%20associates." target="_blank" rel="noopener">expected</a> to be revealed, although New York Judge Loretta Preska has given the individuals 14 days to object to the release of their names.
“The Court stays its order for fourteen days to permit any impacted Doe the opportunity to appeal, after which counsel are asked to confer, prepare the documents for unsealing pursuant to this order, and post the documents on the docket,” Preska <a href="https://storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.uscourts.nysd.447706/gov.uscourts.nysd.447706.1315.0.pdf" target="_blank" rel="noopener">wrote</a> on Monday. 
Preska listed multiple reasons to unseal the documents, including the fact that several individuals whose names have been kept hidden previously gave interviews to the media. Several individuals have not objected to the release of their names, according to Preska’s order. 
The well-connected Epstein died in a Manhattan prison cell in August 2019 awaiting trial on federal sex trafficking charges. Maxwell is currently serving a 20-year prison sentence after being <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/jeffrey-epsteins-ex-girlfriend-ghislaine-maxwell-sentenced-to-prison" target="_blank" rel="noopener">convicted</a> of sex trafficking children. 
The decision to release the documents brought on celebration from some and speculation by others on whose names will be found in the documents. 
“The names of over 170 of Jeffrey Epstein’s high-profile associates are to be released in the first week of 2024,” Sen. Marsha Blackburn (R-TN) <a href="https://twitter.com/MarshaBlackburn/status/1737146827185569863" target="_blank" rel="noopener">said</a> Tuesday in a post on X. “Accountability is coming.”
Blackburn <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/sen-blackburn-says-democrat-led-senate-committee-chair-blocked-epstein-flight-logs-subpoena" target="_blank" rel="noopener">has moved</a> in recent weeks to get the Senate Judiciary Committee to subpoena Epstein&#8217;s flight records, but has said that Sen. Dick Durban (D-IL) has so far blocked her. 
It was previously reported that Epstein owned at least three jets, including a Gulfstream II sold in November 2013, a Gulfstream IV sold before his arrest, and a Boeing 727 nicknamed the “Lolita Express,” which allegedly transported prominent individuals and girls all around the world.

The so-called &#8220;Lolita Express&#8221; private jet has been the subject of controversy amid the accusations brought against Epstein and, in particular, the flight records connected to the plane that supposedly include the names of those who traveled with him.
Victims of Epstein and at least one of his pilots have since come out and claimed that public figures, including Bill Gates, Prince Andrew, and Donald Trump, had traveled with the disgraced financier.

A former Democrat Maryland mayor who described Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg as his &#8220;mentor&#8221; was sentenced to 30 years in prison on Monday for possessing and distributing child sex abuse material.
Patrick Wojahn was the mayor of College Park and a popular leftist politician until he resigned in March, the day before his arrest on child pornography charges.
College Park is just outside Washington, D.C., and home to the state&#8217;s flagship University of Maryland campus.

Wojahn, 48, pled guilty in August to 140 counts related to possessing and distributing child sexual abuse material, court records <a href="https://www.baltimoresun.com/news/bs-md-college-park-mayor-patrick-wojahn-child-pornography-sentenced-20231120-bddw33qv5jfrtdv5ax5nquj2bm-story.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">show</a>. The charges in the indictment <a href="https://www.baltimoresun.com/news/crime/bs-wp-md-cr-former-college-park-mayor-indicted-20230330-shji4en24ba6nng52jcuujamza-story.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">included</a> both misdemeanors and felonies, some of which have 10-year maximum penalties.
A Prince George’s County Circuit Court judge officially sentenced him to 150 years behind bars, but she suspended most of that sentence, leaving just 30 years, <a href="https://www.baltimoresun.com/news/bs-md-college-park-mayor-patrick-wojahn-child-pornography-sentenced-20231120-bddw33qv5jfrtdv5ax5nquj2bm-story.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">according</a> to court records. The suspended sentence means that if Wojahn violates the conditions of his release when he is let out, a judge can lock him up again for 120 years. His sentence also requires him to register as a sex offender and includes five years of supervised probation after his release.
In Maryland, convicts of nonviolent crimes are eligible for parole after serving just 25% of their sentence.
Prince George&#8217;s County officials said they were tipped off to Wojahn&#8217;s crimes in February by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, which notified them of a social media account, “skippy_md,” that had uploaded child pornography to the messaging app Kik in January.
Detectives traced the account to Wojahn’s government email address and later searched Wojahn’s home, seizing several electronic devices, including three cell phones.
Police said Wojahn admitted to owning the social media account while being interviewed by detectives during the search of his house.
Authorities found videos and images of more than 500 children on Wojahn’s cellphone, Assistant State’s Attorney Monica Meyers said at a press conference. Detectives and prosecutors identified 52 of the exploited children, and several submitted victim impact statements that prosecutors read aloud in court.

“It instructs us that child pornography is not simply about images. It’s about the pain behind the images, the tragedies that have occurred in these young people’s lives that should never have happened to them,” said Prince George’s County State’s Attorney Aisha Braveboy at a news conference after Wojahn&#8217;s sentencing.
“No child deserves to be sexually abused. No child deserves for their images to be displayed on the internet or any platform for hundreds or thousands or possibly millions of people to view,” she said.
Wojahn was serving his second term as mayor of College Park before he was arrested. Before being elected, he served eight years as city councilman. He previously graduated from Georgetown University Law Center.
Several years ago, Wojahn described Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg as his &#8220;mentor.&#8221;
“I actually met Mayor Pete Buttigieg shortly after I was elected mayor in 2015,” Wojahn <a href="https://www.washingtonblade.com/2019/11/14/re-elected-college-park-mayor-discusses-politics-future-plans/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">told</a> the Washington Blade, an LGBT news site, in 2019. “I went to the U.S. Conference of Mayors’ Winter Meeting in D.C. in January and he was assigned to be my buddy.”
“I now serve in a leadership role as vice chair of city livability and bicycling in part due to his mentorship,” Wojahn told the outlet.
Wojahn and Buttigieg are both gay and married to men.
Wojahn has also visited the White House several times since President Biden took office and <a href="https://www.nationalreview.com/news/maryland-mayor-arrested-on-child-porn-charges-visited-white-house-at-least-six-times/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">rubbed</a> shoulders with other D.C. political players including then-House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-MD), and former Democratic National Committee chair Tom Perez.
He has also <a href="https://www.nationalreview.com/news/maryland-mayor-arrested-on-child-porn-charges-visited-white-house-at-least-six-times/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">donated</a> thousands of dollars to Democratic candidates and committees.
