DNA from the wife of the accused Gilgo Beach serial killer matches DNA found on one of the alleged victims, but she is not accused of any wrongdoing.
The wife, who is not being named by The Daily Wire because we are not naming the suspect, provided a cheek swab to authorities on the night her husband was arrested for the murders of three women whose bodies were found near Gilgo Beach on Long Island back in 2010, ABC News <a href="https://abcnews.go.com/US/gilgo-beach-suspects-wifes-cheek-swab-matches-dna/story?id=105265468" target="_blank" rel="noopener">reported</a>. Prosecutors told the outlet that the wife’s hair was found on the burlap that was wrapped around the bodies.
The wife, however, was out of town during the murders, clearing her of any participation in the crimes. As to how her hair was found at the crime scene, her attorney Robert Macedonio <a href="https://nypost.com/2023/11/30/metro/rex-heuermanns-estranged-wifes-cheek-swab-matches-dna-found-on-victims-report/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">told</a> the New York Post that the hair was likely transferred from “inside the house.”
The wife and other family members reportedly <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/gilgo-beach-serial-killer-suspects-family-to-make-1-million-for-docuseries" target="_blank" rel="noopener">will receive</a> $1 million for participating in a documentary series with Peacock. The project will follow the family’s lives as they cope with the upcoming trial and how it has uprooted their lives.

The suspect’s estranged wife talked to reporters for the first time in July after investigators finished searching the family home, the New York Post <a href="https://nypost.com/2023/07/28/gilgo-beach-suspect-rex-heuermanns-estranged-wife-breaks-her-silence/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">reported</a> at the time.
“If you want to take pictures, go ahead. I have a lot of work to do.”
“The sheer depression of what I saw was enough trauma,” she added.
After filing for divorce, the woman’s attorney, Macedonio, <a href="https://www.foxnews.com/us/rex-heuermanns-wife-pictured-first-time-files-divorce-gilgo-beach-serial-slaying-suspect" target="_blank" rel="noopener">told</a> Fox News that the arrest had taken a toll on the family.
“This is all still a whirlwind,” Macedonio told the outlet. “Her and her children’s lives have been completely turned upside-down.”
Macedonio further said that about an hour after the 59-year-old suspect was arrested, authorities went to his house and informed his family. They then seized the family’s passports, computers, phones, and iPads.
“They were home and the cops came in, and they were completely blindsided, and they told them what was going on,” Macedonio told Fox.

Two days later, police searched the area and discovered the bodies of Maureen Brainard-Barnes, Megan Waterman, and Amber Costello. The widow of a French serial killer who was previously convicted of helping her husband kidnap and murder virgins has been charged in her alleged role in three additional murders.
Monique Olivier, wife of serial killer Michel Fourniret, will face trial over charges of aiding and abetting the kidnapping and murder of three young women decades ago, CBS News <a href="https://www.cbsnews.com/news/monique-olivier-widow-of-serial-killer-michel-fourniret-faces-trial-over-cold-cases/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">reported</a>. Her husband had been charged with abduction, rape, and murder in the three cases but died in 2021 before he could stand trial.
The oldest of the charges relates to the 1988 disappearance of Marie-Angele Domece, who was just 18 when she vanished from Auxerre, France. Her body was never found. Olivier is also charged in the 1990 murder of Joanna Parrish, a 20-year-old British woman whose naked body was found in the Yonne River in France.
Finally, Olivier is charged with complicity in the 2003 disappearance of Estelle Mouzin, 9, whose body has never been found.
Olivier and Fourniret were previously found guilty in 2008 in relation to numerous murders, the Associated Press <a href="https://www.cbsnews.com/news/virgin-serial-killer-and-wife-convicted/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">reported</a> at the time. Fourniret, then 66, was sentenced to life in prison for murdering seven women, most of whom were raped. The women, who were between the ages of 12 and 21, were strangled, shot, or stabbed with a screwdriver during Fourniret’s serial killings that occurred between 1987 and 2001. He reportedly targeted the women because they were virgins.
In addition to the murder convictions, Fourniret was also convicted of raping or attempting to rape all the victims.
For her part, Olivier was convicted of complicity for four of the murders and also sentenced to life in prison, but could be considered for early release after serving 28 years. Prosecutors alleged that Olivier helped her husband find virgins to feed his sexual fantasies.
Fourniret was detained by Belgian police in June 2003 after a failed kidnapping attempt of a 13-year-old girl. The girl was able to give police the license plate number of the man who kidnapped her after she was able to free herself from bindings and escape out of the back of Fourniret’s van.

Eric Mouzin, whose 9-year-old daughter Estelle was one of Fourniret’s victims, said only trying Olivier was &#8220;somewhat short of the mark,&#8221; according to CBS. &#8220;It will be difficult to pass judgment with only a single defendant,&#8221; he added.
Olivier’s attorney, Richard Delgenes, said that the court should “not expect any revelations” about her part in the crimes but that her participation level sets her apart from her husband.
&#8220;Unlike him, she takes no special pleasure in the pain of his victims or of the families,&#8221; he said, according to CBS.

A Texas man convicted of murdering two elderly women and suspected of killing many more was killed by his cellmate, state authorities said.
Billy Chemirmir, 50, was found dead in his prison cell on Tuesday after his cellmate attacked him, the Texas Department of Criminal Justice told media outlets, <a href="https://abcnews.go.com/US/convicted-murderer-billy-chemirmir-dead/story?id=103321436" target="_blank" rel="noopener">according to ABC News</a>. Chemirmir was being held at the Coffield Unit in Tennessee Colony, Texas.
The cellmate, who has not been named, is currently serving his sentence on a murder conviction from Harris County. It is unknown how the cellmate allegedly killed Chemirmir, but Texas’ Office of Inspector General is investigating.
Chemirmir was a Kenyan citizen whose citizenship had been questioned in the past. In 2020, The Dallas Morning News <a href="https://www.dallasnews.com/news/crime/2020/02/17/fact-check-serial-murder-suspect-bill-chemirmir-is-not-an-unauthorized-immigrant-ice-says/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">reported</a> that Chemirmir had permanent resident status, according to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
He was arrested twice for driving while intoxicated, in 2010 and 2011, and also had an arrest for a family violence charge in 2012, for which he spent 70 days in the Dallas County Jail. In 2016, he was arrested for criminal trespassing and sentenced to 70 days in jail but was released after just 12 days for good behavior.
Michelle Saenz-Rodriguez, a Dallas immigration attorney, told the Morning News that those charges wouldn’t get Chemirmir deported. And while domestic violence is a deportable offense, assault is not.
When Chemirmir was arrested and charged with capital murder in 2018, an immigration hold was placed on his file, meaning that when he was released from state custody, ICE could begin deportation proceedings.
In 2022, Chemirmir was convicted by two separate juries of killing two elderly women, Lu Thi Haris, 81, and Mary Brooks, 87. Chemirmir, who worked as a home health care aide in North Texas, was accused of murdering his elderly patients and stealing their valuables.

Last month, prosecutors in Collin County said they would not seek the death penalty for Chemirmir on the nine capital murder charges he faced.
&#8220;I won&#8217;t be mourning the murder of convicted serial killer Billy Chemirmir. Rather, my thoughts today are with the families of the precious ladies he murdered,&#8221; Collin County Criminal District Attorney Greg Willis said in a statement, according to ABC. &#8220;These families have been through more than we can imagine, and I pray that someday they can find peace.&#8221;
In addition to murder charges, Chemirmir was also accused of killing six additional victims <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/alleged-illegal-alien-serial-killer-now-accused-ryan-saavedra" target="_blank" rel="noopener">in lawsuits</a> from family members against the senior living complex where Chemirmir worked. The family members – representing five women and one man who were killed – filed separate lawsuits in 2018.

Authorities in Oklahoma are searching for additional “trophies” that the serial killer known as &#8220;BTK&#8221; said he hid in various locations.
On Tuesday, the Osage County Sheriff’s Office (OCSO) held a press conference to announce the new initiative, following the formation of a new task force.
“We have locations provided to us by BTK where he says he has other trophies hidden. We are in the process of working to go try to recover those items,” Sheriff Eddie Virden said, <a href="https://www.cnn.com/2023/09/12/us/btk-serial-killer-dennis-rader-trophies-national-task-force/index.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">according to CNN</a>.
The search for BTK’s “trophies” stems from a 2008 letter that the serial killer, whose real name is Dennis Rader, wrote from prison explaining that he had buried various items under the floor of his backyard shed. Less than a month ago, Osage County investigators recovered some of those items in a hole on the property where Rader used to live with his family. Rader is known to have kept jewelry, clothing, and other items belonging to his victims.
On Monday, the OCSO <a href="https://www.ocso.net/sheriff-virden-national-btk-task-force-cold-case-pawhuska/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">announced</a> that it was forming a new National BTK Task Force that would see experts and resources from law enforcement agencies in Oklahoma and Kansas, as well as federal agencies, working together to solve a 1976 cold case that may be linked to BTK.
In August, Rader was named the prime suspect in the 1976 disappearance of Cynthia Dawn Kinney, 16, in Pawhuska, Oklahoma, as well as the 1990 murder of Shawna Beth Garber, 22, in McDonald County, Missouri. Kinney’s body has never been found, but investigators are operating on the theory that Rader may have buried her in a barn near the Kansas-Oklahoma border. Months after she disappeared, police received an anonymous call from a man claiming her body could be found in an old barn.
The task force is working to solve Kinney’s disappearance.
“My father absolutely loves barns and silos,” Rader’s daughter, Kerri Rawson, told CNN.

So now we’re driving around trying to find those by my memory and noting them because we need to go see, is there anybody missing or buried there.”

In August, Rader was named the prime suspect in the 1976 disappearance of Cynthia Dawn Kinney, 16, in Pawhuska, Oklahoma, as well as the 1990 murder of Shawna Beth Garber, 22, in McDonald County, Missouri. Kinney’s body has never been found, but investigators are operating on the theory that Rader may have buried her in a barn near the Kansas-Oklahoma border. Months after she disappeared, police received an anonymous call from a man claiming her body could be found in an old barn.
“My father absolutely loves barns and silos,” Rader’s daughter, Kerri Rawson, told CNN.
“Every time we drove around going camping, fishing, to college, he’d absolutely say this one – like he said, I want to retire here. And he would tease my mom about it,” Rawson added. “And then after he was arrested, we found out later that he had massive fantasies about those specific locations. So now we’re driving around trying to find those by my memory and noting them because we need to go see, is there anybody missing or buried there.”

“It’s going to be a busy week,” Virden told the outlet, adding that the tips have “provided more information.”

Authorities in South Carolina are investigating whether the suspected Gilgo Beach serial killer is responsible for the disappearance of a woman who went missing in 2017.
The 59-year-old suspect, who is not being named by The Daily Wire, remained unidentified for more than a decade but <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/heres-how-a-pizza-box-and-hair-led-police-to-the-suspected-gilgo-beach-serial-killer" target="_blank" rel="noopener">was arrested</a> on July 13 for the murder of three women whose bodies were found on Gilgo Beach in Long Island, New York, in 2010.
The last time her friends and family saw Julia Ann Bean alive was on May 31, 2017. Her daughter didn’t report her missing until November 18 of that same year, but the case remains unsolved. After the Gilgo Beach suspect was arrested, however, a woman claiming to be Bean’s friend came forward with “third hand” information, the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office (SCSO) said, according to ABC News. This new information was shared with the FBI as South Carolina law enforcement continues to investigate Bean’s disappearance.
The SCSO also said in the statement that Bean’s daughter Cameron told investigators that she remembered seeing her mother with someone who could have been the Gilgo Beach suspect.
&#8220;Investigators have been pouring over the information they have recently received to determine if there is any evidence linking Bean with [the Gilgo Beach serial killer suspect]. Yet there are no confirmed facts that confirm or deny the possibility of a connection,&#8221; the sheriff’s office said in its statement, according to ABC.
The Gilgo Beach suspect owned four vacant lots in Chester County, South Carolina, just 90 minutes from Sumter County.

Rachel Morin, 37, was last seen alive on August 5 in Bel Air, Maryland, when she went out for a walk, Fox News <a href="https://www.foxnews.com/us/suspect-rachel-morin-slaying-could-serial-killer-maryland-sheriff" target="_blank" rel="noopener">reported</a>. After she didn’t return home, her boyfriend reported her missing.
Her body was found the next day in a wooded area off the trail she had been walking. While it is known that her murder was brutal, police have not disclosed what injuries she sustained or additional details about her killing.
&#8220;The violence associated with Rachel’s case shows he has absolutely no care, no regard for human life. I believe he will continue to do it until he’s captured,&#8221; Harford County Sheriff Jeff Gahler told Fox. &#8220;He may be a serial killer.&#8221;
DNA found at the crime scene matched that of a suspect wanted for a home invasion across the country in California, which included the assault of a young girl. Police in Los Angeles don’t know the identity of the suspect, but they do have a DNA profile.
&#8220;Serial killers all start somewhere. What he did in Los Angeles was certainly, I believe, in that direction,&#8221; Sheriff Gahler told Fox. &#8220;I believe it was his intention to inflict more serious physical harm.&#8221;
As in Maryland, Los Angeles police haven’t released specific details about the assault. Harford police reportedly traveled to Los Angeles to work with local law enforcement to follow leads that could reveal the identity of the suspect.
&#8220;We don’t know who he is yet,&#8221; Gahler said. &#8220;He could still be laying his head here in our county, or he could have fled anywhere in the country or even the world.&#8221;
The shirtless suspect was captured on video outside the Los Angeles home he broke into but is only seen from behind and from the side. He is believed to be a Hispanic male in his 20s, about 5-foot-9 and weighing around 160 pounds. It is unclear whether he killed Morin randomly.
Morin’s family has spoken out about their grief. Richard Tobin, who had started dating Morin just days before her murder, called the man who killed her “scum” in a Facebook post asking for help identifying the suspect.

Following Morin’s death, Patty has found comfort in her faith.
&#8220;I know the God that we believe in and the God that Rachel believes in was there holding her and comforting her, and He never left her,&#8221; Patty said at Morin’s funeral.

A British nurse convicted last week of murdering seven infants between 2015 and 2016 and attempting to murder six more has been sentenced to life in prison.
The 33-year-old nurse, who will not be named per Daily Wire policy, became the United Kingdom’s worst serial killer of babies in recent times after she was convicted in 14 out of the 22 counts she faced, People Magazine <a href="https://people.com/crime/lucy-letby-nurse-found-guilty-murdering-infants/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">reported</a>. On Monday, she was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole.
The nurse didn’t appear for sentencing, which has led some to call for changes in law to ensure that a guilty person is present for their sentencing hearing, CNN <a href="https://www.cnn.com/2023/08/21/uk/lucy-letby-nurse-sentence-intl-gbr/index.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">reported</a>. During sentencing, Justice James Goss explained that the nurse deserved life in prison because her crimes were “a cruel, calculated and cynical campaign of child murder involving the smallest and most vulnerable of children.”
He spoke as if the nurse were in the courtroom and ordered his remarks and all victim impact statements to be sent to the convicted serial killer.
“There was a deep malevolence bordering on sadism. During the course of this trial you have coldly denied any responsibility for your wrongdoing. You have no remorse. There are no mitigating factors,” he said, according to CNN.
Following sentencing, British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak denounced the nurse for not appearing at her hearing.
“I think it’s cowardly that people who commit such horrendous crimes do not face their victims and hear first hand the impact that their crimes have had on them and their families and loved ones,” he said. “We are looking and have been at changing the law to make sure that that happens and that’s something that we’ll bring forward in due course.”
The nurse’s trial took ten months to complete at Manchester Crown Court, with the 11-person jury failing to reach verdicts on six additional counts of attempted murder. She was also found not guilty on two counts of attempted murder.
The woman, who worked as a nurse in the neonatal ward of the Countess of Chester Hospital in Chester, England, would inject air into babies’ blood and stomachs, overfeed them with milk, physically assault them, and poison them with insulin, CNN <a href="https://www.cnn.com/2023/08/18/uk/lucy-letby-nurse-guilty-gbr-intl/index.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">reported</a>.
Seven babies died as a result of the nurse’s acts, leading to seven guilty convictions for murder. She was also found guilty on seven counts of attempted murder relating to six additional babies, Britain’s Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) said in <a href="https://www.cps.gov.uk/cps/news/lucy-letby-found-guilty-baby-murders" target="_blank" rel="noopener">a press release</a> on Friday.
During a police investigation, authorities found handwritten notes in the nurse’s home, including one that read, “I am evil I did this.”

“[The nurse] sought to deceive her colleagues and pass off the harm she caused as nothing more than a worsening of each baby’s existing vulnerability,” Pascale Jones, the senior crown prosecutor, said in a statement. “In her hands, innocuous substances like air, milk, fluids – or medication like insulin – would become lethal. She perverted her learning and weaponized her craft to inflict harm, grief and death.”
At trial, prosecutors introduced evidence showing that the babies were perfectly healthy before being attacked. For those who recovered from the nurse’s attempts to kill them, their recovery was too rapid for the harm to have been natural. Investigators also found falsified medical documents from the nurse attempting to hide her involvement in the deaths, including altering time reports to make it appear as though they occurred when she was not there.
Text messages and social media activity also coincided with the attacks, some of which seemed to live blog the events. This activity, according to CPS, showed the nurse had an “intrusive curiosity about the parents of babies she had harmed.”

The wife filed for divorce less than a week after her husband was arrested for the crimes.
