<a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/rolling-stones" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Rolling Stones</a> frontman <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/music" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Mick Jagger</a> insinuated that he may not leave his entire <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/money" target="_blank" rel="noopener">fortune</a> to his 8 children.
The 80-year-old musician made the comments while discussing the potential sale of the Stones’ post-1971 catalog. The Wall Street Journal interviewer <a href="https://www.wsj.com/style/mick-jagger-rolling-stones-hackney-diamonds-7d4f193b" target="_blank" rel="noopener">said</a> a huge sum of cash may be less complicated for his <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/father" target="_blank" rel="noopener">kids</a>, but Jagger insisted he wasn’t selling, saying, “the children don’t need $500 million to live well. Come on.” 
The rock star added that he considered donating his wealth to charity. “You maybe do some good in the world,” he said, also noting how he’s not planning on publishing an autobiography.
Jagger also mentioned how the idea of his music living on has changed in the technology era. “You can have a posthumous business now, can’t you? You can have a posthumous tour,” he told the outlet. “The technology has really moved on since [ABBA’s recent “Voyage” virtual show], which I was supposed to go to, but I missed it,” he went on.
Jagger’s oldest child is daughter, Karis, 52, who he shares with Marsha Hunt. He has a daughter, Jade, 51, with ex-wife Bianca Jagger.
The musician shares four children with ex-wife Jerry Hall: daughters Elizabeth, 39, and Georgia May, 31, and sons James, 38, and Gabriel, 25. The pair was married from 1990 until 1997.
He had son Lucas, 24, with his model girlfriend Luciana Morad Gimenez. Jagger’s youngest child is his son Deveraux, 6, who he shares with Melanie Hamrick. 
Jagger also has five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

The Rolling Stones made headlines earlier this month when they announced the release of their first new music in 18 years in the form of an album called, “Hackney Diamonds.” The album features guest stars including Elton John, Lady Gaga, Paul McCartney, Stevie Wonder, and Bill Wyman. 
“Hackney Diamonds” will debut October 20.

More details about their upcoming album will reportedly be revealed during an event in East London&#8217;s Hackney district on Wednesday. &#8220;The Tonight Show&#8221; host Jimmy Fallon will interview Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, and Ronnie Wood live in London about their project, the AP noted.
&#8220;Hackney may be at the heart of Hackney Diamonds, but this is a truly global moment we want to share with fans around the world via YouTube,&#8221; the Rolling Stones shared in a statement.
The &#8220;Hackney Diamonds&#8221; announcement came after days of cryptic posts on the band&#8217;s X account that started on August 29 with a post that read, &#8220;Hello world. Hackney Diamonds.com.&#8221;

After fans were greeted with errors on the page, the band replied later and said it was fixed. Finally, the band shard several posts with the &#8220;Don&#8217;t Get Angry With Me&#8221; sticker and bumper sticker being shown on various items and cars.
It will also be the iconic band&#8217;s first album since the death of drummer Charlie Watts in 2021. Music that they worked on before his death will appear on the new album, <a href="https://www.cnn.com/2023/09/05/entertainment/the-rolling-stones-music-album/index.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">CNN</a> noted.

Rolling Stones singer Mick Jagger, 78, has tested positive for COVID-19, and the band has been forced to cancel some shows on its 60th-anniversary tour.
&#8220;I&#8217;m so sorry that we&#8217;ve had to postpone the Amsterdam show with such short notice tonight,&#8221; the rocker posted on <a href="https://www.instagram.com/p/CewJxJyKmmo/?hl=en">social media</a> Monday. &#8220;I have unfortunately just tested positive for COVID.&#8221;
Jagger said The Stones hope to reschedule the show &#8220;ASAP and get back as soon as we can.&#8221;
The band also put out a <a href="https://www.instagram.com/p/CexzfW6DR6t/?hl=en">statement</a>. “The Rolling Stones are deeply sorry for tonight’s postponement, but the safety of the audience, fellow musicians and the touring crew has to take priority,” it said.
Jagger&#8217;s announcement came just 90 minutes before showtime, and some fans had already started arriving at Amsterdam’s Johan Cruijff Arena. The singer had appeared psyched for the show on a social media post on Sunday.

They <a href="https://rollingstones.com/news/stones-sixty-2022-european-tour/">started</a> in Madrid, Spain, earlier this month and were scheduled to play at 14 stadiums in Europe, including a show in Bern, Switzerland, on Friday.
Jagger&#8217;s known to get out and about wherever he is rather than hanging out in his hotel suite.
For instance, Jagger hit the town last September before a show in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Mick Jagger doesn’t agree with people comparing him to fellow recording artist Harry Styles.
The comparisons between the 78-year-old Rolling Stones band member and the 28-year-old One Direction artist happen partially because of how both men sometimes wear dresses and makeup. The U.K.-based singer added, &#8220;He doesn&#8217;t have a voice like mine or move on stage like me; he just has a superficial resemblance to my younger self, which is fine — he can&#8217;t help that.&#8221;
Styles is a big fan of Jagger and has been linked to him throughout his career, People <a href="https://people.com/music/mick-jagger-dismisses-harry-styles-comparisons/">reported</a>. The One Direction singer mimicked some of Jagger’s outfits for music videos and even did an impression of the Stones legend for an episode of “Saturday Night Live.” 
Also, both Styles and Jagger are known for wearing heavy eye makeup and dressing in flamboyant outfits that grab attention. 
Styles has made headlines on several occasions for his tendency to wear ballgowns to red carpet events and, famously, on the cover of Vogue magazine. &#8220;It&#8217;s funny because I don&#8217;t think of myself that way [as a style icon]&#8230; but bringing people together is the thing I&#8217;m most proud of,” he said during an interview at the time, per <a href="https://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-10204649/Harry-Styles-dons-dresses-heels-covers-Dazed-magazine.html">the Daily Mail</a>. 
&#8220;To not wear [something] because it&#8217;s females&#8217; clothing, you shut off a whole world of great clothes,” Styles continued. “And I think what&#8217;s exciting about right now is you can wear what you like. It doesn&#8217;t have to be X or Y. Those lines are becoming more and more blurred.”
Jagger also spoke about other personal topics beyond the comparisons to Styles. In another part of the “Sunday Times” interview, the Stones singer discussed how he processed the death of former Rolling Stones drummer Charlie Watts, who died in August 2021 at the age of 80. 
&#8220;I don&#8217;t really expect him to be there any more if I turn round during a show,&#8221; Jagger said. &#8220;But I do think about him. Not only during rehearsals or onstage, but in other ways, too &#8230; I miss him as a player and as a friend.&#8221;

The Rolling Stones have reportedly retired one of their most popular rock songs because the lyrics pertain to slavery.
The lyrics actually detail the horrors of slavery. But try telling that to the woke cancel crowd.
&#8220;The Stones have not played the 1971 hit &#8216;Brown Sugar&#8217; on their current tour and said the blues classic has been removed from their setlist,&#8221; the New York Post <a href="https://nypost.com/2021/10/13/rolling-stones-retire-classic-rock-song-brown-sugar/">reported</a>.
“You picked up on that, huh?” guitarist Keith Richards <a href="https://www.latimes.com/entertainment-arts/music/story/2021-10-07/rolling-stones-charlie-watts-no-filter-tour">said</a> when asked by The Los Angeles Times why the band hasn&#8217;t been playing the song on the current &#8220;No Filter&#8221; tour.
“I don’t know. I’m trying to figure out with the sisters quite where the beef is. Didn’t they understand this was a song about the horrors of slavery? But they’re trying to bury it. At the moment I don’t want to get into conflicts with all of this s**t. But I’m hoping that we’ll be able to resurrect the babe in her glory somewhere along the track,&#8221; Richards told the Times.
Singer Mick Jagger chimed in. “We’ve played ‘Brown Sugar’ every night since 1970, so sometimes you think, &#8216;We’ll take that one out for now and see how it goes,’” he said. “We might put it back in.” Jagger also said, “the set list in a stadium show, it’s kind of a tough one.&#8221;
The song is one of the most performed by the Stones, who have played it live more than 1,100 times, second to only “Jumpin’ Jack Flash,” <a href="https://www.setlist.fm/setlists/the-rolling-stones-bd6ad22.html" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">according</a> to setlist.fm.
Jagger said way back in 1995 “I never would write that song now. I would probably censor myself. I’d think, ‘Oh God, I can’t. I’ve got to stop. I can’t just write raw like that,’” he <a href="https://www.rollingstone.com/feature/mick-jagger-remembers-92946/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">told</a> Rolling Stone magazine.

Rolling Stones Drop ‘Brown Sugar’ Over Slavery Lyrics

Members of the Rolling Stones skipped memorial services for drummer Charlie Watts when he was laid to rest at a secret funeral in Britain last week, instead staying in Boston to rehearse for their new U.S. tour, which kicks off later this month.
The funeral went on without the attendance of singer Mick Jagger, 78, and guitarists Keith Richards, 77, and Ronnie Wood, 74, according to The Sun.
&#8220;The famed rhythm man’s family organized a secret funeral in Devon befitting the fuss-free character of the rocker, who died aged 80 on Aug. 24, just weeks after pulling out of the Stones’ US tour,&#8221; the Sun <a href="https://www.thesun.co.uk/tvandshowbiz/16128811/rolling-stones-drummer-bandmate-charlie-watts-funeral-covid-19/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">said</a>. &#8220;Because of Covid restrictions, they were forced to stay in Boston where they have been rehearsing for the Stones’ rescheduled US tour.&#8221;
&#8220;An insider said the Stones would pay tribute to their fallen bandmate at the upcoming shows and were also planning a celebration of his life later this year in the UK,&#8221; the paper said.
The surviving members of the band are also planning a dedicated celebration of Watts’ life later this year in Britain.
Watts announced Aug. 5 that he would sit out the band’s rescheduled U.S. tour after having surgery for an unspecified malady, which he said was “completely successful.&#8221;
“For once my timing has been a little off,” quipped the legendary drummer, one of the Stones’ founding members.
“I am working hard to get fully fit but I have today accepted on the advice of the experts that this will take a while,” said Watts, who was also successfully treated for throat cancer in 2004.
“After all the fans’ suffering caused by COVID I really do not want the many RS fans who have been holding tickets for this Tour to be disappointed by another postponement or cancellation,” Watts said.
“I have therefore asked my great friend Steve Jordan to stand in for me,” he said of the respected session and TV talk show drummer who was also in Stones’ guitarist Keith Richards’ side project, the X-Pensive Winos.
But on Aug. 28, Watts passed away.
A spokesperson for the band said in a statement: “It is with immense sadness that we announce the death of our beloved Charlie Watts. He passed away peacefully in a London hospital earlier today surrounded by his family.”
“Charlie was a cherished husband, father and grandfather and also as a member of The Rolling Stones one of the greatest drummers of his generation. We kindly request that the privacy of his family, band members and close friends is respected at this difficult time.&#8221;
After more than five decades with “the World’s Greatest Rock ’n Roll Band,” Watts was considered one of the greatest drummers of all time. Richards once said, &#8220;Everybody thinks Mick and Keith are the Rolling Stones. If Charlie wasn’t doing what he’s doing on drums, that wouldn’t be true at all. Charlie Watts, 80, the drummer for the greatest rock band in history, will miss this year&#8217;s 13-city U.S. tour by The Rolling Stones after having emergency surgery.

The Stones have been performing since the 1960s. But now all of them are in their 70s, with Watts turning 80 in June.
Stones’ frontman Mick Jagger, 78, underwent heart valve replacement surgery in 2019, prompting the band to cancel its planned tour. But in no time he once again had moves like, well, Mick Jagger.

On Watts, Jagger said: The band “really look forward to welcoming Charlie back as soon as he is fully recovered.”
Meanwhile, the band’s 74-year-old guitarist, Ronnie Wood, also suffered health problems, battling cancer for a second time. Wood <a href="https://www.thesun.co.uk/tvandshowbiz/14761522/ronnie-wood-battles-cancer-lockdown/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">told</a> The Sun he was diagnosed with rare and aggressive small-cell cancer last year. “I’ve had cancer two different ways now,” he said. &#8220;I came through with the all-clear.&#8221;
Jagger is ready to rock. &#8220;I&#8217;m so excited to get back on the stage again and want to thank everyone for their patience he said. &#8220;See you soon!&#8221; The Stones tour is set to begin Sept. 26.

Rolling Stones Drummer, 80, Pulls Out Of U.S. Tour After Health Emergency

Most times before President Trump hits the stage at his raucous rallies – and always after he finishes a stemwinder speech – his campaign plays a song over the arena loudspeakers: &#8220;You Can&#8217;t Always Get What You Want,&#8221; the classic song by the British rock band the Rolling Stones off their 1969 album Let It Bleed.
Now, Mick Jagger and the boys are threatening to sue Trump for unauthorized use of their songs at his rallies – despite several cease and desist directives they&#8217;ve filed in the past.
The Stones said in a statement on Sunday that they have enlisted a legal team to work with the music rights organization Broadcast Music, Inc. (BMI) to demand that Trump stop.
The statement said that BMI has already notified Trump&#8217;s campaign on behalf of the Stones that the unauthorized use of their songs will be considered a breach of its licensing agreement. &#8220;If Trump disregards the exclusion and persists, he will face a lawsuit for breaking the embargo and playing music that has not been licensed,&#8221; <a href="https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2020/jun/28/rolling-stones-threaten-to-sue-donald-trump-over-use-of-songs">The Guardian</a> reported.
“Trump was in no way authorised to use this song to further a campaign that leaves too many Americans and common sense behind,’’ the statement said. “Both the late Tom Petty and his family firmly stand against racism and discrimination of any kind. Tom Petty would never want a song of his to be used in a campaign of hate. He liked to bring people together.’’
The family of the late Tom Petty, who died after overdosing on drugs in 2017, also sent a cease and desist letter to the Trump campaign over its use of his song &#8220;I Won’t Back Down,&#8221; most recently at a rally in Tulsa on June 20.
Petty’s family also said that they support democracy and America, while “Donald Trump is not representing the noble ideals of either. We would hate for fans that are marginalized by this administration to think we were complicit in this usage.&#8221;
Others have also objected to Trump&#8217;s use of their music. &#8220;Elton John, REM, Adele, Guns N Roses, the Rolling Stones, Pharrell, Queen, Prince, Aerosmith and Earth Wind and Fire have also denounced the president’s use of their music,&#8221; The Guardian said.

Among the lyrics of the Stones&#8217; song is this verse:
And I went down to the demonstration 
To get my fair share of abuse 
Singing, &#8220;We&#8217;re gonna&#8217; vent our frustration 
If we don&#8217;t we&#8217;re gonna blow a fifty-amp fuse.&#8221;
Trump played the Stones&#8217; song at campaign appearances during the 2016 Republican primaries and the presidential election, as well as his nationally televised acceptance speech at the Republican National Convention. In 2018, Stones’ guitarist Keith Richards called for the U.S. to “get rid of” Trump.

Rolling Stones Threaten To Sue Donald Trump Over Use Of Songs

It&#8217;s the eternal debate: Who&#8217;s better, The Rolling Stones or The Beatles?
Paul McCartney, 77, says it&#8217;s clearly The Beatles.
In an interview with Howard Stern on his Sirius-XM radio show last week, McCartney said &#8220;I love the Stones but The Beatles were better.&#8221;
&#8220;Their stuff is rooted in the blues, whereas we had a lot more influences. Keith [Richards] once said to me, &#8216;You were lucky man. You had four singers in your band. We got one.'&#8221;
McCartney, who sang and played bass and piano for the group, and wrote dozens of the group&#8217;s songs, said The Stones sometimes copied The Beatles. &#8220;We started to notice that whatever we did the Stones sort of did it shortly thereafter,&#8221; he said.
&#8220;We went to America and had huge success, then the Stones went to America,&#8221; he said. &#8220;We did Sergeant Pepper and the Stones did a psychedelic album. There was a lot of that.&#8221;
But Mick Jagger, 76, the lead singer for The Stones, said his band was better &#8212; and still is.
Appearing on  Zane Lowe’s Apple Music show on Friday, Jagger said there was &#8220;obviously no competition&#8221; between the two, adding about McCartney, &#8220;He is a sweetheart. I’m a politician.&#8221;
&#8220;The big difference, though, is that The Rolling Stones is a big concert band in other decades and other areas when The Beatles never even did an arena tour,&#8221; Jagger said. &#8220;They broke up before the touring business started for real&#8230; They did that [Shea] stadium gig [in 1965]. But the Stones went on.&#8221;
The Beatles stopped touring early in their rise to stardom, reportedly because the screaming and carrying on from fans got out of hand. The boys from Liverpool hit the big time with their 1963 release of &#8220;Please Please Me,&#8221; but they broke up in 1970, with McCartney, John Lennon, Ringo Starr, and George Harrison all going their separate ways. Lennon was murdered in 1981 at age 40, while Harrison passed away from cancer in 2001 at age 58.
The Stones, meanwhile, have been one of the largest touring bands every decade since the 1970s. All the members &#8212; Jagger, Richards, 76, Charlie Watts, 78, and Ron Wood, 72 &#8212; are out on the road every couple of years with a new show, which feature elaborate sets and amazing light shows.
&#8220;We started stadium gigs in the 1970s and are still doing them now,&#8221; Jagger said. &#8220;That’s the real big difference between these two bands. One band is unbelievably luckily still playing in stadiums and then the other band doesn’t exist.&#8221;

The tiff came just as The Stones hit another milestone. The band soared to No. 1 on the iTunes chart more than 40 years after their last No. 1 hit. Their single, &#8220;Living In A Ghost Town,&#8221; surpassed huge stars like Travis Scott, The Weeknd and Drake.
