Portions of <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/rebel-wilson">Rebel Wilson</a>’s memoir, which mention alleged incidents involving <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/sacha-baron-cohen">Sacha Baron Cohen</a>, have been redacted in both the U.K. and Australia.
The 44-year-old “Pitch Perfect” star released her <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/books">tell-all book</a>, Rebel Rising, on April 2 in the United States. Publication in several other countries has been delayed thus far.
A spokesperson for HarperCollins confirmed the redacted portions, per <a href="https://people.com/rebel-wilson-memoir-published-in-uk-with-sacha-baron-cohen-allegations-redacted-8638802">People</a>.
“We are publishing every page, but for legal reasons, in the U.K. edition, we are redacting most of one page with some other small redactions and an explanatory note,” the statement said. “Those sections are a very small part of a much bigger story and we’re excited for readers to know Rebel’s story when the book is released.”
Wilson had written about alleged interactions with Cohen on the set of the film “The Brothers Grimsby” in 2016. The actress claimed Cohen harassed her about performing naked and told her it would be “really funny” to engage in other lewd acts.
“Then in the last scene…he was like, ‘Rebel can you just stick your finger up my butt?’ And I went, ‘What do you mean Sacha? That’s not in the script,’” Wilson said. “And he’s like, ‘Look, I’ll just pull down my pants, you just stick your finger up my butt, it’ll be a really funny bit.’”
Cohen denied Wilson’s allegations in a public statement at the time the book was released. The actor’s rep claimed the redactions proved the incidents didn’t happen.

&#8220;Printing falsehoods is against the law in the UK and Australia; this is not a &#8216;peculiarity&#8217; as Ms. Wilson said, but a legal principle that has existed for many hundreds of years. This is a clear victory for Sacha Baron Cohen and confirms what we said from the beginning — that this is demonstrably false, in a shameful and failed effort to sell books,&#8221; the statement continued.

During a new interview with the <a href="https://www.thetimes.co.uk/article/rebel-wilson-on-sex-weight-and-working-with-sacha-baron-cohen-hgn5s6lsc">Sunday Times</a>, the 44-year-old Australian actress admitted she used the medication (which is intended as a treatment for Type 2 diabetes) to keep off the weight, <a href="https://pagesix.com/2024/03/31/entertainment/rebel-wilson-admits-she-used-ozempic-to-help-lose-weight/">Page Six</a> noted.
&#8220;Someone like me could have a bottomless appetite for sweets, so I think those drugs can be good,&#8221; Wilson said, while noting that she no longer uses the drug.
In 2020, the &#8220;Pitch Perfect&#8221; star went on her &#8220;year of health&#8221; and dropped 80 pounds after struggling with fertility with IVF treatments.
&#8220;Basically no one apart from my mom wanted me to lose weight,&#8221; Wilson said. &#8220;People thought I&#8217;d lose my pigeonhole in my career, playing the fat funny character, and they wanted me to continue in that.&#8221;
&#8220;The Hustle&#8221; star said she decided for herself to go on a low-sugar, high protein diet and started taking long walks.

She said eventually those walks became longer stretches that included running the steps of the Sydney Opera House in Australia and doing &#8220;crazy&#8221; cardio sessions, Page Six noted.
&#8220;It so felt good that I kept going,&#8221; Wilson said, adding that she also started talking to a doctor about her emotional eating.
&#8220;I wasn&#8217;t dealing with my emotions properly, I was just stuffing my face and holding on to them,&#8221; she added.
Wilson said she&#8217;s now reached a point where she feels comfortable about her weight, feeling &#8220;curvy and solid.&#8221;

The 44-year-old Australian <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/entertainment">star</a> had previously referenced a “massive a**hole” she worked with in the past. She accused the as-yet-unidentified individual of trying to intimidate her as she worked on her memoir, per <a href="https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/general-news/rebel-wilson-sacha-baron-cohen-memoir-1235859389/">The Hollywood Reporter</a>.
Wilson previously said in Instagram stories, “Now the a**hole is trying to threaten me. He’s hired a crisis PR manager and lawyers. He’s trying to stop press coming out about my new book. But the book WILL come out and you will all know the truth.”
Now, Wilson is saying that person is <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/sacha-baron-cohen">Sacha Baron Cohen</a>. 
The “Pitch Perfect” star shared an update on March 25: &#8220;I will not be bullied or silenced with high priced lawyer or PR crisis managers. The ‘a**hole’ that I am talking about in ONE CHAPTER of my book is Sasha Baron Cohen.”
Wilson has been referencing Cohen for several weeks now. On March 15, she <a href="https://www.instagram.com/rebelwilson/reel/C4ikheULuRA/">said</a> on social media, “When I first came to Hollywood, people were like, yeah, ‘I have a no a**hole policy, means like, yeah, I don’t work with a**holes.’ I was like, ‘Oh yeah. I mean, that sounds sensible or logical. But then it really sunk in because I worked with a massive a**hole and yeah, now I definitely have a no a**holes policy.”
Wilson and Baron Cohen worked together in the 2016 spy action comedy “The Brothers Grimsby.” Wilson played the girlfriend of Baron Cohen’s character Nobby, an English football player who becomes a spy.
The actress discussed her experience working with her colleague in 2014 on the radio show “Kyle and Jackie O.”

The “Pitch Perfect” actress was facing criticism mostly from plus-sized fans who accused Wilson, who recently lost 80 pounds, of being biased against them. The followers were especially annoyed because Wilson used to be <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/obesity">overweight</a> herself.
One of the most popular <a href="https://www.tiktok.com/@itsyourdest/video/7170318508625104133">videos</a> came from TikTok creator Destiny Ann. 
She said, “I don’t understand how someone who is plus size for the majority of her career and the majority of her life — someone who knows how hard it is to be fat, to shop for clothing and actually find it in your size — I don’t understand how someone with that background, that knowledge, can release a brand that only goes up to an XL.”
She also called the lack of plus-sized options “so disheartening.” 
“[T]he irony of [R]ebel dropping a clothing line that she wouldn’t have even been able to shop at a few years ago,” the video caption said.
Wilson responded to all the criticism in her Instagram stories on Wednesday. The “Bridesmaids” star said she and partner Ramona Agruma “are experimenting with this limited capsule collection of only two pieces in limited sizes” and that if they prove successful, the pair “are planning on doing more colors and sizes.”
She encouraged followers to request the “colors or sizes” they would be “interested in for sweats.” Wilson also reported that the current collection is “Almost SOLD OUT.”

A columnist with The Sydney Morning Herald issued an apology and the publication removed his article that seemed to indicate he had threatened to “out” actress <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/rebel-wilson">Rebel Wilson</a> and was disappointed she decided to reveal her <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/lgbtq">same-sex relationship</a> on Instagram instead.
The Daily Wire initially reported that Wilson <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/rebel-wilson-comes-out-introduces-disney-princess-girlfriend">posted</a> about her new relationship on social media. The 42-year-old <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/celebrities">actress</a> made the announcement on Instagram Thursday, writing, “I thought I was searching for a Disney Prince… but maybe what I really needed all this time was a Disney Princess #loveislove,” alongside a photo of herself smiling with girlfriend Ramona Agruma.
One day later, Herald columnist Andrew Hornery wrote an article explaining how the paper had known about the relationship and contacted Wilson&#8217;s reps with &#8220;an abundance of caution and respect&#8221; to request a comment.
Hornery seemed angry that Wilson chose to share her news on social media rather than giving that honor to the paper. The article has since been removed.
&#8220;In a perfect world, &#8216;outing&#8217; same-sex celebrity relationships should be a redundant concept in 2022. Love is love, right? I had made no decision about whether or what to publish, and the Herald‘s decision about what to do would have been informed by any response Wilson supplied.”
As of Monday, Hornery <a href="https://www.smh.com.au/culture/celebrity/i-made-mistakes-over-rebel-wilson-and-will-learn-from-them-20220613-p5at9e.html">apologized</a> for how he handled the situation.
“It is not the Herald’s business to ‘out’ people and that is not what we set out to do. But I understand why my email has been seen as a threat. The framing of it was a mistake.”
The columnist continued, saying, “The tone of my column on Saturday was also off. I got it wrong. I allowed my disappointment to cast a shadow over the piece. Last month, Wilson told <a href="https://people.com/movies/rebel-wilson-reveals-new-romance-found-my-disney-princess/">People</a> that she was seeing someone new after meeting them &#8220;through a friend.&#8221; The “Pitch Perfect” star didn’t indicate who the new mystery love interest was.
&#8220;We spoke on the phone for weeks before meeting. And that was a really good way to get to know each other,&#8221; she said at the time. &#8220;It was a bit old-school in that sense — very romantic.&#8221;
&#8220;I think going through the process of finding more self-worth, I think that what you want in a partner is elevated and so it&#8217;s great to have someone who feels like an equal partner and be in a healthy relationship,&#8221; Wilson continued.

&#8220;He looked me up and down and said, &#8216;You&#8217;d do much better if you were healthier,'&#8221; Wilson told <a href="https://people.com/health/rebel-wilson-desire-to-become-mom-spurred-health-transformation-exclusive/">People</a> earlier this year.
&#8220;I was taken aback. I thought, &#8216;Oh God, this guy&#8217;s so rude.&#8217; He was right. I was carrying around a lot of excess weight. It&#8217;s almost like I didn&#8217;t think of my own needs. I thought of a future child&#8217;s needs that really inspired me to get healthier.&#8221;
She also discussed what it was like being a face of the “body positivity” movement while lacking confidence.
&#8220;Fat Amy was probably the most favorite character I&#8217;ve ever played,&#8221; she told the publication. &#8220;I loved representing and I was so confident. But at the same time, I did feel at times insecure. Sometimes it&#8217;s hard doing a photo shoot next to your fellow actress and she&#8217;s a third of the size of you.&#8221;
“I was invisible in a way even when I was an international movie star,&#8221; she continued. &#8220;And then suddenly to have people want to carry your groceries, do nice things for you purely because of how you look, it&#8217;s interesting.&#8221;
Wilson admitted it’s tricky to find a balance between not shaming overweight people while still trying to avoid encouraging unhealthy behavior. 
&#8220;I know what it&#8217;s like to be on the other side of that coin,&#8221; she said. &#8220;And now I know what&#8217;s it&#8217;s like to get attention in the positive. There is a societal bias towards what society deems as good-looking. It&#8217;s not right. It sucks, it&#8217;s unfair. I feel sad if somebody doesn&#8217;t love the body they&#8217;re in. You want to celebrate all body types but I also want to encourage people to be healthy.&#8221;

Rebel Wilson says she was sexually harassed by a co-star, but isn’t sharing the alleged perpetrator’s identity. 
The 42-year-old “Pitch Perfect” actress made the comments during a recent <a href="https://people.com/movies/rebel-wilson-reveals-metoo-moment-when-costar-tried-to-destroy-her-exclusive/">interview</a> with People. Wilson explained that the incident occurred prior to the #MeToo movement, which compelled many big-name celebrities to share sexual harassment stories.
“He called me into a room and pulled down his pants,” she said of her anonymous co-star. She said he then asked her to perform a sexual act in front of his friends. “It was awful and disgusting,” Wilson continued.
The “Super Fun Night” alum also alleges that the actor tried to ruin her career after the alleged incident occurred.
“All the behavior afterwards – this was all before #MeToo – where they kind of tried to destroy me and my career,” she said. “If it had happened after #MeToo, then I could have just blasted them.”
The actress said she told her rep and told other colleagues what had happened, which was inspired in part by her legal training. “Because I&#8217;m a lawyer, I documented it,” she said. “Definitely amongst industry circles, I made sure people knew what happened.&#8221;
Wilson told the publication she still ponders the alleged incident now, thinking about her actions at the time. 
“Why did I stay in that situation … with that awful guy?” she said. “I should have left. It wasn’t worth it. But at the same time, I was like, ‘Oh well, do the right thing, be a professional and finish the movie.’ Now I would never do that.&#8221;
&#8220;I thought even complaining to my agency was a big step. And to complain to the studio. I found out I was like the fourth person to complain about the guy. Such gross behavior, but a lot of women have had it way worse,&#8221; she added. 
Wilson is an Australian actress who chooses mostly comedic roles, including sketch comedy and her supporting part in the hit film “Bridesmaids.” She’s best known for portraying Fat Amy in the “Pitch Perfect” movies, which earned her the MTV Movie Award for Best Breakthrough Performance.
She made headlines for dramatic weight loss in recent months, which the actress said was in part due to her intention to start a family. The Daily Wire <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/rebel-wilson-says-her-team-didnt-want-her-losing-funny-fat-girl-status-amid-weight-loss">reported</a> that Wilson was told not to lose weight by her agent because it could cost her future roles. 
“…They were like, ‘Why? Why would you wanna do that?’ Because I was earning millions of dollars being the funny fat girl and being that person,” she said.

Actress Rebel Wilson sparked furious backlash online after she responded to Sydney&#8217;s decision to reimpose a COVID-19 lockdown.
Over the weekend, “Australian officials instituted a strict two-week lockdown for Sydney and surrounding areas on Saturday, to fight an outbreak of the coronavirus Delta variant,” reported <a href="https://www.nytimes.com/video/world/australia/100000007836882/sydney-australia-coronavirus-lockdown.html">The New York Times</a>. “It is Sydney’s first full lockdown since early 2020.”
Wilson responded on Instagram, posting a selfie with the caption, “Sydney WTF !!!” Two later posts showed what Wilson claimed were empty shelves at a Sydney grocery store, as well as a story which read, “You can’t keep locking down as a strategy.”
Critics were quick to point out that the “Pitch Perfect” actress is currently filming her new movie in the United States, and is therefore not subject to the latest Australian restrictions.
“Coming from somebody who has been traveling the world constantly over the past year for work,” said one critic, according to <a href="https://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-9735201/Rebel-Wilson-slammed-criticising-Sydneys-latest-COVID-19-lockdown.html">The Daily Mail</a>. 
“Shut up, you don&#8217;t even live here! Mind your own business, we are doing alright,” said another, with someone else adding, “It&#8217;s easy to have an opinion when you&#8217;re not responsible.”
As The Daily Mail noted, the hosts of The Project also blasted Wilson, with Steve Price saying, “Not sure smug rock throwing from LA is the way to go for Wilson. I don&#8217;t think she&#8217;s done herself favors there, has she? Stupid opinion,” while Waleed Aly added, “The one thing I would say, I know a few Australians who live overseas, it seems to me most of them feel like that.”
“I think unless you&#8217;re here&#8230; The whole world thinks — they&#8217;ve never been through what we&#8217;ve been through. Like two different planets,” Aly continued. “We look at America and the UK — how could you live like that and through that? They do the same with us. It&#8217;s one of those situations.”
Panelist Peter Helliar took a sarcastic approach, <a href="https://www.nzherald.co.nz/entertainment/rebel-wilson-blasted-over-her-sydney-lockdown-rant/3GKRVTWOLOWNSHMYJI4NVLQMEY/">saying</a>, “I&#8217;m a bit sick of people not taking celebrities&#8217; health advice seriously, to be honest. Next thing, people will be questioning the science behind some of [Gwyneth Paltrow&#8217;s] Goop products.&#8221;
As the New Zealand Herald explained, “This latest controversy comes after Wilson faced fierce criticism last year when she took a private jet to the Superbowl at the height of the pandemic, at a time when people were discouraged from moving around to watch the game.”
According to <a href="https://www.nytimes.com/2021/06/28/world/australia/sydney-australia-coronavirus-delta-variant.html">The New York Times</a>, “simultaneous outbreaks of the coronavirus in several parts of the country, most notably in Sydney” have been “fueled by the spread of the highly infectious Delta variant.”
“We’ve got to hang in there,” Prime Minister Scott Morrison said. “We don’t have a choice. The pandemic is still upon us.”
The <a href="https://www.bbc.com/news/world-australia-57661144">BBC</a> reported on Wednesday that “Seven Australian cities are now in lockdown as authorities scramble to prevent the spread of the highly contagious Delta coronavirus variant.”

Actress Rebel Wilson (&#8220;Pitch Perfect&#8221;) opened up about her struggles with fertility and its emotional toll.
In an <a href="https://www.instagram.com/p/COYzN6MLwKc/">Instagram post </a>on Sunday, Wilson said she got some &#8220;bad news&#8221; and wanted to share it with her followers. Though Wilson did not elaborate on this particular news, she said it related to her fertility issues.
&#8220;I got some bad news today and didn’t have anyone to share it with &#8230; but I guess I gotta tell someone. To all the women out there struggling with fertility, I feel ya. The universe works in mysterious ways and sometimes it all doesn’t make sense &#8230; but I hope there’s light about to shine through all the dark clouds,&#8221; she said.
As Wilson received an outpouring of support from fans and followers, she thanked everyone for their well-wishes.
&#8220;Just wanted to say I woke up this morning and read through everyone’s kind messages and stories about their journeys and I can’t tell you how much that meant to me and has made me feel a lot better today. Social media for the win here in terms of creating connection when I was in a very lonely place. So thank you everyone,&#8221; she added.

Wilson did not specify if her fertility issues have come with any miscarriages.
