A new royal biography about <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/prince-charles" target="_blank" rel="noopener">King CharlesIII</a> revealed the &#8220;last pieces of unfinished business&#8221; left by the late-Queen Elizabeth II before her death in September 2022.
In Robert Hardman&#8217;s book, &#8220;<a href="https://www.amazon.com/Charles-III-Court-Inside-Story-ebook/dp/B0C242HQT2" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Charles III: New King, New Court. The Inside Story</a>,&#8221; the royal biographer shared how the queen&#8217;s staff discovered two private letters in one of the royal&#8217;s famous locked red boxes, the <a href="https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-12956529/Inside-story-late-Queens-final-farewell-Majesty-wouldnt-aware-painlessly-slipped-away-contents-never-seen-memo-moments-revealed.html">Daily Mail</a> reported.
These red boxes typically contained daily papers from ministers around the U.K. plus documents and correspondence from representatives from the Commonwealth and around the world, <a href="https://people.com/queen-elizabeth-left-behind-two-letters-deathbed-8426140?hid=4f90b78dc31e627328d98338e1fa49d03b364abc&amp;did=11617308-20240115&amp;utm_source=ppl&amp;utm_medium=email&amp;utm_campaign=royals_newsletter&amp;utm_content=011524&amp;lctg=4f90b78dc31e627328d98338e1fa49d03b364abc">People magazine</a> noted.
One letter was for her son King Charles III, and the other letter was directed to her top aide private secretary Sir Edward Young, the author noted.

&#8220;It was the last one that had gone up to the Queen before her death,&#8221; Hardman writes in the excerpt about the red box findings. &#8220;Like all red boxes, it had just two keys, one for the monarch and the other for her duty private secretary.&#8221;
&#8220;We will probably never know what they said,&#8221; he added. &#8220;However, it is clear enough that the Queen had known that the end was imminent and had planned accordingly. Were they final instructions or final farewells? Or both? Elizabeth II had been completing her own last pieces of unfinished business.&#8221;
The biographer said the late royal also left her list of candidates to join the Order of Merit — her final royal duty, the outlet noted.

&#8220;The Queen had always taken it extremely seriously,&#8221; Hardman wrote. &#8220;The paperwork had gone up to her two days before so that she could go through the notes and tick her choices.&#8221;
&#8220;Here it was, completed and returned for Sir Edward to make the necessary arrangements,&#8221; he added. &#8220;It was the last document ever handled by Queen Elizabeth II. Even on her deathbed, there had been work to do. And she had done it.&#8221;
Also revealed in the upcoming biography is a memo from the queen&#8217;s private secretary, who was at Balmoral when she died in 2022, the Daily Mail noted.
&#8220;Very peaceful. In her sleep,&#8221; the private memo from Young read. &#8220;Slipped away. Old age. She wouldn&#8217;t have been aware of anything. No pain.&#8221;

Insiders with knowledge of the situation told the <a href="https://www.thetimes.co.uk/article/king-charles-relishes-global-role-but-still-wont-see-harry-79pm8zxvh" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Sunday Times</a> that the Duke of Sussex will skip the king&#8217;s party at Clarence House in London on November 14 after he also reportedly declined Charles&#8217; offer in September to join him on the anniversary of Queen Elizabeth&#8217;s death.
Prince Harry has since disputed the claim he was invited to his father&#8217;s birthday and called out the Sunday Times for misreporting the story, a spokesperson for the royal told <a href="https://themessenger.com/entertainment/prince-harry-king-charles-75th-birthday" target="_blank" rel="noopener">The Messenger.</a>
The alleged royal snub comes after a report that Harry and his father still &#8220;don&#8217;t speak much,&#8221; the <a href="https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-12713685/prince-harry-king-charles-birthday-royal-family.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Daily Mail</a> noted. The strain in the relationship reportedly comes from the Prince&#8217;s tell-all memoir &#8220;<a href="https://www.amazon.com/Spare-Prince-Harry-Duke-Sussex/dp/0593593804" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Spare</a>&#8221; and Charles&#8217; &#8220;disappointment&#8221; at Harry&#8217;s description of the Queen Camilla in the book as a &#8220;villain&#8221; and &#8220;dangerous.&#8221;
&#8220;I have complex feelings about gaining a step-parent who I thought had recently sacrificed me on her personal PR altar,&#8221; the royal wrote in the book.
The royal&#8217;s relationship with the entire family is reportedly struggling following the revelations in the documentary &#8220;Harry and Meghan&#8221; and his book in which he takes aim at his brother William, sister-in-law Kate Middleton and father.
&#8220;Communications between the King and Prince Harry remain pretty poor,&#8221; a source told <a href="https://www.telegraph.co.uk/us/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">The Telegraph</a>. &#8220;They don&#8217;t speak much, if at all.&#8221;
Author Omid Scobee, who wrote &#8220;Finding Freedom&#8221; — a positive book about the royal couple stepping down from their senior roles — attacked the royal family in the promotional material for his new book &#8220;<a href="https://www.amazon.com/Endgame-Inside-Family-Monarchys-Survival-ebook/dp/B0BPSX2X4Q" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Endgame: Inside The Royal Family and the Monarchy&#8217;s Fight For Survival</a>&#8221; due out Nov. 28.
The book is <a href="https://www.amazon.com/Endgame-Inside-Family-Monarchys-Survival-ebook/dp/B0BPSX2X4Q" target="_blank" rel="noopener">described</a> as &#8220;a penetrating investigation into the current state of the British monarchy – an unpopular king, a power-hungry heir to the throne, a queen willing to go to dangerous lengths to preserve her image and a prince forced to start a new life after being betrayed by his own family.&#8221;
One source told the Daily Mail, &#8220;I&#8217;ve been told this is bad, very bad. It is unlikely that Royal aides will comment, but if there are charges of racism, they will, of course, be robustly rebutted.&#8221;
Relations between the Sussexes and the royal family have not been the best following the Duke and Duchess of Sussex&#8217;s initial decision to step down from their senior roles in January 2020. They eventually relocated to southern California, where they are raising their two kids, son Prince Archie and daughter Princess Lilibet.

The Queen&#8217;s funeral was held on September 19, 2022, at Westminster Abbey following a royal funeral procession of her flower-draped coffin from Balmoral to Westminster Hall where millions of mourners turned out to say goodbye.
King Charles immediately ascended the throne following his mother&#8217;s death, and the 74-year-old monarch&#8217;s official coronation took place in May at Westminster Abbey.

<a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/royal-family" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Sarah “Fergie” Ferguson</a>, who is divorced from Prince Andrew, revealed the final words <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/queen-elizabeth" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Queen Elizabeth II</a> said to her before her passing in September 2022. 
Ferguson was discussing her battle with breast cancer during the August 30 episode of her <a href="https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/episode-13-luck-chance-meetings-and-a-well-earned-break/id1687827196?i=1000626261204" target="_blank" rel="noopener">podcast</a>, “Tea Talks With the Duchess &amp; Sarah.”
The 63-year-old royal family member said fighting cancer has helped her “wake up” and embrace who she really is, regardless of outside opinions.
“It’s the last thing that the queen said to me: ‘Just be yourself, Sarah,&#8217;” Ferguson said. 
“And she saw it,” the Duchess of York continued. “She just got so annoyed when I wasn’t being myself. And that’s probably when I got into all the pickles. But now I am myself, and I’m just so lucky to be able to be myself.”
Ferguson was married to disgraced royal Prince Andrew from from 1986 to 1996 and shares daughters Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie with him. Her relationship with the queen was complicated over the years, especially following the infamous “toe-sucking scandal” in 1992. That’s when paparazzi captured photos of the duchess canoodling on a boat with a business associate while on holiday in the South of France.
As Queen Elizabeth II abhorred negative publicity, she referred to this incident and others from that year as her &#8220;annus horribilis&#8221; (horrible year).

“It came as a great shock to me when I heard she was gravely ill because she was in amazingly good form over the weekend … It was only a few days ago, I can’t believe it,” he continued.
Queen Elizabeth II died at the age of 96 after a record-breaking reign of 70 years. It was the longest of any monarch in British history and longest verified reign of any female head of state in history.

She was one of the performers at the late Queen Elizabeth&#8217;s Silver Jubilee in 1977. During a recent interview, the singer-songwriter recalled how nervous she was to curtsy in front of the queen.
&#8220;Even though you have to do the protocol, you have to bow and all that, I could tell that she didn&#8217;t care about that,&#8221; Parton told <a href="https://www.insider.com/dolly-parton-on-meeting-queen-elizabeth-2023-1" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Insider.</a> &#8220;That&#8217;s just something she had to do. King Charles III celebrated his highly-publicized coronation over the weekend and it was every bit as regal as advertised. The media provided non-stop coverage in the weeks leading up to the event, which was enough to have many American citizens wondering: but why do we care?
The United States of America fought a bloody war to free themselves from rule of the British crown. This fact inspires many critics to wonder why, exactly, we’re so obsessed with the British monarchy. There are several reasons for this, but Charles’ coronation highlighted one of the most prevalent. In short, Americans are desperately missing the pageantry of a formal ceremony.
Yes, the reigning monarch is a figurehead. And yes, Charles technically became king upon his mother, Queen Elizabeth II’s <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/breaking-queen-elizabeth-ii-dead-at-96" target="_blank" rel="noopener">death in September</a>. But there’s no denying the beauty of a solemn, symbolism-heavy ceremony that’s steeped in centuries of tradition. This is true regardless of anyone’s personal opinions about King Charles or his politics.
The king was crowned at Westminster Abbey, a visually stunning Gothic style church erected in the 11th century. The Archbishop of Canterbury, the Anglican church’s most senior cleric, led the religious ceremony. Charles was the 40th monarch to be crowned there, following a long line of previous rulers starting with William the Conqueror on Christmas Day in 1066.

The royal family website described the coronation as a “solemn religious service” and a &#8220;ceremony marking the formal investiture of a monarch with regal power.”
&#8220;The coronation will reflect the monarch&#8217;s role today and look towards the future, while being rooted in longstanding traditions and pageantry,&#8221; Buckingham Palace said in a statement earlier this year.
Since the late 14th century, coronations have followed the instructions laid out in the Liber Regalis or &#8220;royal book,&#8221; a medieval Latin manuscript that describes the order of service, per <a href="https://abcnews.go.com/GMA/Culture/king-charles-iii-coronation-plans/story?id=96848304" target="_blank" rel="noopener">ABC News</a>.
In an increasingly secularized society, many Americans never experience these types of culturally significant moments during church services and other religious occasions. Ancient rituals are often replaced with more modern ceremonies that bear no connection to the past. Just a glance at the unadorned lines of modern architecture compared to the intricate details of Westminster Abbey clearly highlight these changes.
This is one reason an event like a coronation, even in a foreign nation, is so oddly appealing for someone who isn’t personally affected by the crowning of kings and queens in the slightest.
Numerous historical artifacts were <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/what-to-know-ahead-of-king-charles-iiis-coronation-ceremony" target="_blank" rel="noopener">incorporated</a> into the coronation ceremony, including King Edward’s Chair, which has been used in these types of ceremonies for 700 years. This artifact houses the Stone of Destiny, which was built around 1300 and used for centuries to crown Scottish kings.
Another special item used in the ceremony is a coronation cross which includes shards of wood from the cross that’s believed to have been used to crucify Jesus Christ.
The outfits worn by the royal family were all befitting of the important occasion. The monarch arrived at the ceremony dressed in the crimson velvet Robe of State, which was also worn by his grandfather King George VI at his 1937 coronation, per <a href="https://www.reuters.com/world/uk/florals-hats-robes-colours-tradition-king-charles-coronation-2023-05-06/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Reuters</a>.
King Charles changed into ceremonial regalia worn before being crowned, slipping on the gold-silk full-length Supertunica coat and Coronation Sword Belt, and over that, the gold cloth Imperial Mantle, which was originally made for the coronation of George IV in 1821. This was the oldest vestment included in the service. Charles was crowned with the historic St. Edward&#8217;s Crown that has been used since the coronation of King Charles II in 1661.

The Prince and Princess of Wales, William and Catherine, also wore formal robes and mantels over their outfits. Kate wore a visually stunning headpiece made of silver and crystal leaves. 
Charles was the longest-serving heir apparent in history, waiting over 70 years to be crowned king. Now he is reigning monarch but all eyes were on his oldest son, Prince William, who has become a favorite in the United Kingdom along with his wife Kate Middleton and their three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis.
George, who is 9, served as a page for his grandfather during the ceremony. This made him the youngest future king to play an official role in a crowning ceremony. King Charles and George’s great-grandmother Queen Elizabeth both attended their parents&#8217; coronations in 1953 and 1937 when they were children, but were only invited to watch the service and didn’t participate.

It’s true that King Charles is more progressive than his mother Queen Elizabeth, with a specific emphasis on environmentalism and climate activism. But for all his ideologies, Charles is still firmly rooted in tradition.
Prince William mentioned this during his speech at the coronation concert on Sunday.
“As my grandmother said, when she was crowned, coronations are a declaration of our hopes for the future, and I know she’s up there fondly keeping an eye on us, and she’d be a very proud mother,” the Prince of Wales said.
“My father’s first words, on entering Westminster Abbey yesterday, were a pledge of service,” he continued.
“It was a pledge to continue to serve, because for over 50 years, in every corner of the UK, across the Commonwealth, and around the world, he has dedicated himself to serve others, both current and future generations, and those whose memory must not be neglected,” William said.

<a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/prince-andrew">Prince Andrew</a> will allegedly no longer have access to an apartment and offices at <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/royal-family">Buckingham Palace</a> per orders of King Charles III.
The 62-year-old royal was apparently turned out by his older brother <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/prince-charles">Charles</a> following the death of their mother, <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/queen-elizabeth">Queen Elizabeth II</a>. Andrew had already been stripped of his official duties in the wake of a scandal in 2019, but up until now had retained access to the palace. Now, reports say he’s been kicked out of the royal enclave, too.
The Duke of York made headlines several years ago following the revelation of his relationship with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. Andrew was also accused of engaging in sexual activities with a then-17-year-old girl named Virginia Giuffre. The royal settled a civil suit out of court.
Though he denied wrongdoing, Andrew resigned from public roles in May 2020. The former working royal also had his honorary military affiliations and royal charitable patronages stripped by Queen Elizabeth II in January 2022.
Prince Andrew’s eviction is notable, but Entertainment Tonight <a href="https://www.etonline.com/king-charles-iii-removes-prince-andrews-access-to-former-apartment-and-office-at-buckingham-palace">pointed out</a> that the royal had not been using the apartment as his primary residence for some time. Instead, he’s been living with ex-wife Sarah “Fergie” Ferguson at the Royal Lodge at Windsor. For now, he still appears to have access to that property.
Queen Elizabeth was known for despising scandal and royal family drama. However, she always had a soft spot for Andrew, and royal insiders were surprised at how close the two remained even after the sex scandal plagued the British royal. 
&#8220;[The queen] saw Andrew very, very regularly right up until her death,&#8221; Vanity Fair’s royal correspondent Katie Nicholl <a href="https://www.foxnews.com/entertainment/queen-elizabeth-remained-incredibly-close-prince-andrew-right-until-death">told</a> Fox News Digital shortly after Elizabeth’s death in September 2022. &#8220;They remained incredibly close, and she was very protective of him.&#8221;
Nicholl went on to explain how she delved into claims that Andrew was the queen’s “favorite son” while researching for a book about the royals. 
&#8220;She asked him about the Epstein allegations and about his relationship with Virginia Giuffre. They had a very honest conversation, and Andrew assured her that he was innocent of those allegations. She believed him. This was her son after all. And she didn’t just believe him. She stood by him,&#8221; Nicholl said.

King Charles III <a href="https://www.the-sun.com/news/6982112/king-charles-throws-prince-andrew-out/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">reportedly</a> evicted the disgraced Duke of York Prince Andrew from using an office at Buckingham Palace in the wake of his ties to convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein.
The 62-year-old Duke reportedly paid millions of dollars in an out-court settlement after Virginia Giuffre accused the Royal Family member of sexually abusing and raping her on three separate occasions in 2001 when she was 17.
Although Prince Andrew has denied any wrongdoing, the King has allegedly barred his sibling from working out of the Palace or using it as a corresponding address.
“Any presence at the palace is officially over,” a source told The Sun. “The King has made it clear. He isn’t a working royal. He’s on his own.”
The eviction comes after Queen Consort Camilla took over the Duke’s role as Colonel of the Grenadier Guards last week.
The Royal Household officials also stripped the Prince of his $3.5 million, 24-hour armed security last month after officials said they would no longer fund the service for the disgraced family member.
Former Home Office minister Norman Baker said last week that “armed protection has always been a status symbol for the likes of Prince Andrew.”
“Of course, he should pay it himself and not burden the taxpayer because he is a private individual and carries out no public duties,” Baker said, as <a href="https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-11570663/King-Charles-finally-evicted-Prince-Andrew-Buckingham-Palace-Epstein-scandal.html">reported</a> by the Daily Mail.
The Daily Wire <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/king-charles-iii-set-to-axe-prince-andrew-and-prince-harry-as-official-stand-ins-for-the-crown-report">reported</a> last month that the King could soon move to exclude Prince Andrew, Princess Beatrice, and Prince Harry from acting as official stand-ins if he should be “incapacitated.”
The Regency Act of 1937 allows a monarch’s spouse and the next four in line for the throne to be called up to act as “Councillors of State” — appearing on behalf of the King or Queen to conduct official business.
Buckingham Palace announced earlier this year that Prince Andrew’s military titles and royal patronages had been returned to the Queen after the royal failed in his last-ditch effort to have the civil case thrown out.
The Duke said in a statement at the time of the civil lawsuit that damaged his reputation he “regrets his association” with Epstein and had agreed to make a “substantial donation” to Giuffre’s charity.
Prince Andrew surprisingly joined his family for the Christmas service at the Church of St. Mary Magdalene in Sandringham, Norfolk, after pictures surfaced of the Duke walking behind the senior-most royals, including his brother King Charles III and the queen consort, Camilla, Fox News <a href="https://www.foxnews.com/entertainment/prince-andrew-surprisingly-attends-christmas-service-king-charles-iii-prince-william">reported</a>.

A <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/royal-family">Buckingham Palace</a> official has resigned after she allegedly asked a black guest where she “really came from.”
The late <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/queen-elizabeth">Queen Elizabeth</a> II’s lady-in-waiting, Susan Hussey, made the remarks during an event that took place at Buckingham Palace on Tuesday, per the <a href="https://www.bbc.com/news/uk-63810468">BBC</a>. The publication noted that she asked the background question of charity founder Ngozi Fulani. 
Fulani said she was &#8220;totally stunned&#8221; by Hussey’s comments. The 83-year-old former royal official is <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/prince-william">Prince William</a>’s godmother.
A spokesperson for Prince William said &#8220;<a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/racism">racism</a> has no place in our society&#8221; and called the comments “unacceptable,” saying that “it is right that the individual has stepped aside with immediate effect.&#8221;
Eyewitness Mandu Reid, who is leader of the Women’s Equality Party, told BBC News that she found the comments by Hussey to be &#8220;offensive, racist and unwelcoming.&#8221; She also recalled having a &#8220;sense of incredulity&#8221; upon hearing the question.
&#8220;We take this incident extremely seriously and have investigated immediately to establish the full details,” Buckingham Palace shared in a statement.
&#8220;In this instance, unacceptable and deeply regrettable comments have been made. We have reached out to Ngozi Fulani on this matter, and are inviting her to discuss all elements of her experience in person if she wishes,” the statement continued.

She said his piece dealt with how narcissism is everywhere as the two talked about the realization that we used to revere people like her and not a &#8220;false God&#8221; like Kardashian.

&#8220;So, I believe the reason they booed Kim Kardashian is because the country&#8217;s getting sick of narcissistic, vain, self-promotional, &#8216;rules do not apply to me&#8217; type of people, like her, like Meghan Markle,&#8221; Kelly shared.
&#8220;And I do think one of the reasons it&#8217;s in the ether is because the death of the Queen and the reminder of what used to be, what once was, what we used to once revere versus this false god of money, and materialism, and selfie culture, and weird decisions on extreme plastic surgery that one refuses to acknowledge infecting it into the bloodstream of our little ones and so on,&#8221; she added.
She threw it to Sullivan for his thoughts — and he said he wasn&#8217;t sure he wanted to add to Kelly&#8217;s comments, adding, &#8220;have you seen the latest photographs of Madonna?&#8221;
He admitted he loved the superstar singer back in the day, but said that appeared the star had &#8220;become addicted to youth and fame.&#8221; He said that there are methods in which &#8220;you can kind of look younger,&#8221; noting that Madonna&#8217;s face is now more a mask than a face.
