<a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/royal-family">Royal family</a> member <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/celebrities">Sarah Ferguson</a>, the Duchess of York and ex-wife of Prince Andrew, has been diagnosed with skin <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/cancer">cancer</a> after a recent battle with breast cancer.
The 64-year-old posted an update about her diagnosis to Instagram on Monday, saying she’s “taking some time” for herself after receiving the news so soon after battling cancer the first time.

“I have been taking some time to myself as I have been diagnosed with malignant melanoma, a form of skin cancer, my second cancer diagnosis within a year after I was diagnosed with breast cancer this summer and underwent a mastectomy and reconstructive surgery. It was thanks to the great vigilance of my dermatologist that the melanoma was detected when it was,” she shared alongside a photo of herself smiling.

Next, the Duchess of York urged followers to be vigilant about getting checked for skin cancer, urging them to be &#8220;diligent&#8221; while observing changes to their skin.
“Naturally another cancer diagnosis has been a shock but I’m in good spirits and grateful for the many messages of love and support,” the post continued. “I believe my experience underlines the importance of checking the size, shape, colour and texture and emergence of new moles that can be a sign of melanoma and urge anyone who is reading this to be diligent.”
She went on to thank her doctors and family for their care and support. 
“I am incredibly thankful to the medical teams that have supported me through both of these experiences with cancer and to the MAYRLIFE Clinic for taking gentle care of me in the past weeks, allowing me time for recuperation. I am resting with family at home now, feeling blessed to have their love and support,” Ferguson concluded.
The royal family member previously thanked her two adult daughters, Princess Beatrice, 35, and Princess Eugenie, 33, for staying by her side during her breast cancer battle last year.
“My two wonderful daughters are my wholehearted cheerleaders, my devoted champions and my soulmates, and they have been as supportive as can be, as they always are,” she told <a href="https://people.com/sarah-ferguson-calls-princess-beatrice-princess-eugenie-soulmates-amid-cancer-diagnosis-exclusive-interview-8386504">People</a> in November.
Ferguson was married to Prince Andrew from 1986 until 1996. She remains involved in charities, including those aiding both adults and children who have cancer.

President Joe Biden was noticeably absent as world leaders gathered to attend the coronation of <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/prince-charles" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Charles</a> III as the king of the <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/united-kingdom" target="_blank" rel="noopener">United Kingdom</a> on Saturday, the first coronation ceremony since 1953.
During the ceremony that took place at Westminster Abbey in London, the 74-year-old Charles promised to serve the British people and uphold the Church of England. Charles’ wife, Camilla, was crowned queen during the historic ceremony. 
“I come not to be served, but to serve,” Charles <a href="https://www.nytimes.com/live/2023/05/06/world/coronation-king-charles-uk" target="_blank" rel="noopener">said</a> before the archbishop of Canterbury put St. Edward&#8217;d Crown, made in 1661, on his head. 
“Stand firm, and hold fast from henceforth this seat of royal dignity, which is yours by the authority of Almighty God. May that same God, whose throne endures forever, establish your throne in righteousness, that it may stand fast for evermore,” <a href="https://www.usatoday.com/story/entertainment/celebrities/2023/05/06/king-charles-queen-camilla-coronation-live-updates/70185131007/?utm_campaign=snd-autopilot" target="_blank" rel="noopener">said</a> Archbishop of Canterbury Justin Welby during the crowning. 
There was <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/what-to-know-ahead-of-king-charles-iiis-coronation-ceremony" target="_blank" rel="noopener">no legal requirement</a> for the coronation as Charles automatically became king when Queen Elizabeth died on September 8, 2022. The ceremony still took place as a religious ritual and served as a formal confirmation of Charles’ role as head of state and titular head of the Church of England.
During the ceremony, Charles swore on a Bible the Accession Declaration Oath, a promise to maintain the Protestant claim to the throne. 
&#8220;I Charles do solemnly and sincerely in the presence of God profess, testify, and declare that I am a faithful Protestant and that I will, according to the true intent of the enactments which secure the Protestant succession to the Throne, uphold and maintain the said enactments to the best of my powers according to law,” Charles said. 
The oil used to anoint Charles was made with olives from the Mount of Olives in Jerusalem, the place where Jesus Christ prayed before his crucifixion.

Controversial royal figures Prince Harry and Prince Andrew were also in attendance at the ceremony but did not have speaking roles. 
There were roughly 8,000 people in attendance at the ceremony, which was attended by many world leaders with the notable absence of President Joe Biden though first lady Jill Biden was in attendance.

Royal fans are eagerly awaiting the coronation of <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/prince-charles">King Charles III</a> on Saturday which will be the first British coronation of this century.
The last <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/united-kingdom">British</a> coronation occurred on June 2, 1953, when Charles’ late mother, <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/royal-family">Queen Elizabeth II</a>, began her record-breaking 70-year reign. Now a whole generation of new citizens will experience the pomp and ceremony of a coronation, though many aspects of the ceremony will be different than the last one.
Due to the time difference, U.S.-based royal followers wishing to watch the ceremonies will need to tune in to livestreams or news sites beginning at Westminster Abbey starting at 11 a.m. BST, or 6 a.m. ET. 
More than 2,000 guests from around the world are expected to attend the coronation, per <a href="https://www.cbsnews.com/news/how-where-watch-coronation-in-us-king-charles-live-time/">CBS News</a>. Royals from other nations, heads of state, and most of Charles’ family will be there. U.S. President Joe Biden is not attending.
Before the service, Charles and his wife, Camilla, will participate in the King&#8217;s Procession from Buckingham Palace to Westminster Abbey. They’ll greet crowds from the balcony at Buckingham Palace once the ceremony concludes.
King Charles cut back on the guest list, but the entire production will cost taxpayers an estimated £100 million, or the equivalent of $125 million, per <a href="https://time.com/6275383/king-charles-iii-coronation-cost-taxpayers/">Time</a>. This has caused backlash as the country is currently experiencing rising inflation.
Several big-name performers were invited to perform at the coronation, including Adele, Harry Styles, Elton John, Ed Sheeran, and the Spice Girls, but they all declined. The confirmed headliners are Katy Perry and Lionel Richie.
Charles’ estranged son Prince Harry will be attending the coronation, but his wife, American actress Meghan Markle, will remain at home. The pair have become extremely controversial following their decision to step back as senior working royals and move to the United States permanently. Earlier this year, Harry released a tell-all memoir, “Spare,” which made tensions even worse.

The 62-year-old royal was apparently turned out by his older brother <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/prince-charles">Charles</a> following the death of their mother, <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/queen-elizabeth">Queen Elizabeth II</a>. Andrew had already been stripped of his official duties in the wake of a scandal in 2019, but up until now had retained access to the palace. Now, reports say he’s been kicked out of the royal enclave, too.
The Duke of York made headlines several years ago following the revelation of his relationship with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. Andrew was also accused of engaging in sexual activities with a then-17-year-old girl named Virginia Giuffre. The royal settled a civil suit out of court.
Though he denied wrongdoing, Andrew resigned from public roles in May 2020. The former working royal also had his honorary military affiliations and royal charitable patronages stripped by Queen Elizabeth II in January 2022.
Prince Andrew’s eviction is notable, but Entertainment Tonight <a href="https://www.etonline.com/king-charles-iii-removes-prince-andrews-access-to-former-apartment-and-office-at-buckingham-palace">pointed out</a> that the royal had not been using the apartment as his primary residence for some time. Instead, he’s been living with ex-wife Sarah “Fergie” Ferguson at the Royal Lodge at Windsor. For now, he still appears to have access to that property.
Queen Elizabeth was known for despising scandal and royal family drama. However, she always had a soft spot for Andrew, and royal insiders were surprised at how close the two remained even after the sex scandal plagued the British royal. 
&#8220;[The queen] saw Andrew very, very regularly right up until her death,&#8221; Vanity Fair’s royal correspondent Katie Nicholl <a href="https://www.foxnews.com/entertainment/queen-elizabeth-remained-incredibly-close-prince-andrew-right-until-death">told</a> Fox News Digital shortly after Elizabeth’s death in September 2022. &#8220;They remained incredibly close, and she was very protective of him.&#8221;
Nicholl went on to explain how she delved into claims that Andrew was the queen’s “favorite son” while researching for a book about the royals. 
&#8220;She asked him about the Epstein allegations and about his relationship with Virginia Giuffre. They had a very honest conversation, and Andrew assured her that he was innocent of those allegations. She believed him. This was her son after all. And she didn’t just believe him. King Charles III <a href="https://www.the-sun.com/news/6982112/king-charles-throws-prince-andrew-out/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">reportedly</a> evicted the disgraced Duke of York Prince Andrew from using an office at Buckingham Palace in the wake of his ties to convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein.
The 62-year-old Duke reportedly paid millions of dollars in an out-court settlement after Virginia Giuffre accused the Royal Family member of sexually abusing and raping her on three separate occasions in 2001 when she was 17.
Although Prince Andrew has denied any wrongdoing, the King has allegedly barred his sibling from working out of the Palace or using it as a corresponding address.
“Any presence at the palace is officially over,” a source told The Sun. “The King has made it clear. He isn’t a working royal. He’s on his own.”
The eviction comes after Queen Consort Camilla took over the Duke’s role as Colonel of the Grenadier Guards last week.
The Royal Household officials also stripped the Prince of his $3.5 million, 24-hour armed security last month after officials said they would no longer fund the service for the disgraced family member.
Former Home Office minister Norman Baker said last week that “armed protection has always been a status symbol for the likes of Prince Andrew.”
“Of course, he should pay it himself and not burden the taxpayer because he is a private individual and carries out no public duties,” Baker said, as <a href="https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-11570663/King-Charles-finally-evicted-Prince-Andrew-Buckingham-Palace-Epstein-scandal.html">reported</a> by the Daily Mail.

The Regency Act of 1937 allows a monarch’s spouse and the next four in line for the throne to be called up to act as “Councillors of State” — appearing on behalf of the King or Queen to conduct official business.
Buckingham Palace announced earlier this year that Prince Andrew’s military titles and royal patronages had been returned to the Queen after the royal failed in his last-ditch effort to have the civil case thrown out.
The Duke said in a statement at the time of the civil lawsuit that damaged his reputation he “regrets his association” with Epstein and had agreed to make a “substantial donation” to Giuffre’s charity.
Prince Andrew surprisingly joined his family for the Christmas service at the Church of St. Mary Magdalene in Sandringham, Norfolk, after pictures surfaced of the Duke walking behind the senior-most royals, including his brother King Charles III and the queen consort, Camilla, Fox News <a href="https://www.foxnews.com/entertainment/prince-andrew-surprisingly-attends-christmas-service-king-charles-iii-prince-william">reported</a>.

The United Kingdom&#8217;s Prince Andrew will appear at a high-profile ceremony with Queen Elizabeth II and members of the royal family, and his appearance will be listed under his royal title, months after he was stripped of his military titles.
The <a href="https://www.telegraph.co.uk/royal-family/2022/05/21/prince-andrew-join-queen-garter-day-ceremony/">UK Telegraph</a> reported Monday that Prince Andrew will attend the Garter Day ceremony in June with the Queen and other senior members of the Royal family. The outlet also reported that his name will also appear under his official title, &#8220;His Royal Highness the Duke of York,&#8221; in the <a href="https://www.royal.uk/court-circular-0">Court Circular</a>, the official daily report of the previous day&#8217;s royal events, which is printed in all the UK&#8217;s major newspapers.
The Telegraph notes, however, that Prince Andrew&#8217;s attendance will be in a private capacity as a Royal Knight of the Garter. The Queen is the sovereign solely in charge of the Most Noble Order of the Garter, making decisions without consulting her ministers. Prince Andrew&#8217;s appointment to the Order is considered a private one. A source inside the royal palace told the outlet that it was &#8220;standard practice&#8221; to include the Duke of York in the royal Circular.
Earlier this year, Andrew was <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/queen-strips-prince-andrew-of-his-military-titles-and-use-of-his-royal-highness">stripped of his military honors</a> and royal titles by the Queen, after a judge allowed a sexual assault case against him to proceed. “With The Queen’s approval and agreement, The Duke of York’s military affiliations and Royal patronages have been returned to the Queen,” Buckingham Palace announced in a statement at the time. “The Duke of York will continue not to undertake any public duties and is defending this case as a private citizen.” He was also barred from using his official &#8220;His Royal Highness&#8221; style in any official capacity. A few weeks later, Andrew reached a £12 million (about $15.1 million) <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/prince-andrew-settles-sexual-assault-case-will-make-substantial-donation-to-accusers-charity">settlement</a> with Jeffrey Epstein accuser Virginia Roberts Giuffre, which included a &#8220;substantial donation&#8221; to her charity, which supports victims of sex trafficking.
The Garter Day ceremony will take place on June 13.  It will be the first in three years; the last Garter Day ceremony was held in 2019. Several new members will be installed into the order this year, including Princess Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall , who will be admitted to the Order &#8220;in recognition of her increasing importance within the Royal family,&#8221; the Telegraph reported. Camilla is the first royal to be admitted to the Order since Prince William in 2008. Also knighted into the Order will be former Prime Minister Tony Blair and Valerie, Baroness Amos, a former Cabinet minister who will become the first Lady Companion of color.
The <a href="https://www.royal.uk/order-garter">Most Noble Order of the Garter</a> is the oldest and most senior chivalric order in the United Kingdom, founded by King Edward III of England in 1348. The order is dedicated to St. George, the patron saint of England. It is comprised of the Queen, several members of the royal family, and 24 knights and ladies, called Companions. Originally, it was reserved for male members of the British aristocracy, but has since been opened up to male and female members from all backgrounds, in recognition for public service. Members are invested by the Queen in the throne room of Windsor Castle. The royal family then entertains the members and officers of the order, then all members partake in a short foot procession to St. George&#8217;s Chapel, where any new members are installed at a short service.

Prince Harry talked about feeling the presence of his late mother Princess Diana more than ever &#8220;over the last two years,&#8221; and said it definitely feels like &#8220;she&#8217;s watching&#8221; over him and his family.

&#8220;Very much so,&#8221; Harry shared. &#8220;I don&#8217;t tell him all the stuff that happened, but certainly, &#8216;This is Grandma Diana,&#8217; and [we’ve got] a couple photos up in the house.&#8221;
&#8220;For me, [her presence is] constant,&#8221; he added. &#8220;It has been over the last two years — more so than ever before.&#8221;
In March of 2020, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex stepped down from their royal roles, and eventually ended up leaving the United Kingdom, moving to Southern California.

Earlier in the interview, &#8220;Today&#8221; host Hoda Kotb asked about <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/prince-harry-and-meghan-markle-visit-queen-elizabeth-ii-for-first-time-since-stepping-down-from-royal-roles-report">the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s surprise visit</a> to the United Kingdom, where he stopped by to see his grandmother Queen Elizabeth II on the way to the Invictus Games in the Netherlands. It comes at the 4:48 minute mark.
The games, which were started in 2014 by Harry, contain Paralympic-style competition for wounded service members and veterans.
&#8220;It was great,&#8221; Harry explained. &#8220;It was really nice to see her — be able to see her in some element of privacy was nice. I hadn&#8217;t had a chance to go back to the U.K. for a couple of years apart from those two times. Once for my grandfather&#8217;s [Prince Philip&#8217;s] funeral [in April 2021]. And once for unveiling a statue of my mom [July 1, 2021].&#8221;
He explained how it was great to see his grandmother, but &#8220;home” now for him &#8220;is in the states.” He added that it &#8220;really … feels&#8221; that way where he said he and his family have been &#8220;welcomed with open arms.&#8221;

If there’s one thing Queen Elizabeth can’t stand, it’s unnecessary drama. The long-reigning monarch has made a career out of perfecting her stiff upper lip and staying calm even in the face of extreme trouble. That’s why the revelation that the queen was distraught by her children’s divorces is so intriguing.
The report comes courtesy of an upcoming biography about Her Majesty called “Queen of Our Times: The Life of Queen Elizabeth II.” Author Robert Hardman delved into the distress the queen felt upon learning that the marriages of three out of her four children would end in divorce.
&#8220;Outwardly stoical, as ever, the Queen was finding the divorce talks deeply upsetting,&#8221; Hardman says in the book, according to <a href="https://people.com/royals/queen-elizabeth-struggled-privately-with-the-divorces-of-prince-charles-prince-andrew-and-princess-anne/">People</a>. The biography will be released April 5.
“Another former member of the Household recalls that, every now and then, there would be a glimpse of her despair.&#8221; 
&#8220;It distressed her much more than she let on,&#8221; a former staffer told the royal biographer. &#8220;I said, &#8216;Ma&#8217;am, it seems to be happening everywhere. This is almost common practice.&#8217; But she just said, &#8216;Three out of four!&#8217; in sheer sadness and exasperation. One shouldn&#8217;t underestimate the pain she&#8217;s been through.&#8221;
Royal followers will no doubt remember the queen saying 1992 was one of her worst years, calling it the annus horribilis. 
In one single year, Prince Charles and Princess Diana separated (though they wouldn’t formally divorce until years later). Andrew Morton’s biography was released, revealing dark secrets about Princess Diana including bulimia and self-mutilation. Princess Anne divorced Captain Mark Philips and then remarried in the same year.  
As if that’s not enough, Prince Andrew’s estranged wife Sarah Ferguson was caught topless and having her toes sucked, which horrified the strictly image-conscious royal family. There was also a significant fire at Windsor Castle. 
&#8220;I don&#8217;t remember a single occasion when I went to see her and she exclaimed, &#8216;No! What next?'&#8221; the queen’s former press secretary Charles Anson told Hardman. &#8220;The issue was sometimes embarrassing, but she got on with it. It is immensely reassuring in those situations to work for someone who isn&#8217;t knocked back.&#8221;
However, the queen managed to keep everything in stride. The former press secretary said she was, &#8220;never short; never irritable; completely steady.&#8221;
The queen was apparently following her mother’s example of never appearing ruffled or emotional in public, which is such a classic British stereotype. This mentality carried over to Charles and Diana’s disastrous divorce.
&#8220;Her mother&#8217;s strategy in these situations — to carry on as if they were not happening — had earned her the nickname &#8216;imperial ostrich&#8217; among royal staff,&#8221; Hardman wrote in the biography. &#8220;The Queen&#8217;s response, as ever, was to follow the example of her father, absorbed from his days at sea, and to treat adversity like the ocean.&#8221;
A close contact of the queen’s named Sir Major John told Hardman, &#8220;Storms will come and go, some worse than others. But she will always put her head down and plough through them. The Queen has always lived by the doctrine, &#8216;This too shall pass.'&#8221;
He continued, &#8220;While the Queen has sometimes been accused of being slow to act, there has never been a charge of panic. Her default mode in the face of a crisis is stillness.&#8221;

Queen Elizabeth Found Her Children’s Divorces ‘Deeply Upsetting,’ Royal Biographer Claims

Prince Andrew has settled a civil sexual assault case brought against him by Jeffrey Epstein accuser, Virginia Giuffre, according to court documents.
Based on the document submitted to a Manhattan federal court, the Duke of York and Giuffre reached an out of court settlement, <a href="https://www.bbc.com/news/uk-60393843">noting</a> that Prince Andrew would make a “substantial donation to Ms Giuffre’s charity.” The specific value of the donation has not been disclosed.
“The settlement deal comes less than two months after Maxwell was convicted in the same courthouse of procuring other underage girls to be sexually abused by Epstein, an investment manager who killed himself in a federal jail in 2019 while awaiting trial on federal child sex trafficking charges,” <a href="https://www.cnbc.com/2022/02/15/jeffrey-epstein-victim-lawsuit-against-prince-andrew-settled-in-principle-court-filing-says.html">CNBC</a> reported. 
In a letter to Judge Lewis Kaplan, Giuffre’s attorney David Boies wrote, “We write jointly with counsel for defendant to advise the Court that the parties reached a settlement in principle of the above-referenced action.”
“The parties anticipate filing a stipulation of dismissal of the case within thirty (30) days,” Boies wrote. “In the interim, the parties request that the Court suspend all deadlines and hold the action in abeyance.”
“Virginia Giuffre and Prince Andrew have reached an out of court settlement,” a document referenced in the letter, which was attached to the filing, said. “The parties will file a stipulated dismissal upon Ms. Giuffre’s receipt of the settlement (the sum of which is not being disclosed). Prince Andrew intends to make a substantial donation to Ms. Giuffre’s charity in support of victims’ rights.”
“Prince Andrew has never intended to malign Ms.Giuffre’s character, and he accepts that she has suffered both as an established victim of abuse and as a result of unfair public attacks. It is known that Jeffrey Epstein trafficked countless young girls over many years,” the statement says. “Prince Andrew regrets his association with Epstein, and commends the bravery of Ms. Giuffre and other survivors in standing up for themselves and others. He pledges to demonstrate his regret for his association with Epstein by supporting the fight against the evils of sex trafficking, and by supporting its victims.”
In January, Buckingham Palace announced that Prince Andrew’s military titles and royal patronages have been returned to the Queen, after the royal <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/prince-andrew-must-face-civil-sex-assault-case-after-judge-rejects-last-ditch-effort-to-dismiss">failed</a> in his last-ditch effort to have the civil case thrown out.
“With The Queen’s approval and agreement, The Duke of York’s military affiliations and Royal patronages have been returned to The Queen,” Buckingham Palace announced in a <a href="https://www.royal.uk/statement-buckingham-palace-regarding-duke-york">statement</a>. “The Duke of York will continue not to undertake any public duties and is defending this case as a private citizen.”
The Duke of York will also stop using the style “His Royal Highness” in an official capacity, according to the <a href="https://www.bbc.com/news/uk-59987935">BBC</a>.

Prince Andrew Settles Sexual Assault Case, Will Make ‘Substantial Donation’ To Accuser’s Charity

Prince Andrew is trying to cast doubt on the mental state of the woman accusing him of sexually abusing her when she was underage by getting her doctor and her husband to testify in the civil sexual assault case against him.
The disgraced royal tried and failed to get the sexual assault case brought against him by Jeffrey Epstein accuser Virginia Giuffre thrown out.
He has now requested a trial by jury, which is expected to happen this fall in New York’s Southern District.
New York federal judge Lewis Kaplan formally filed letters asking for depositions in the trial from four international witnesses, including Giuffre&#8217;s husband, Robert Giuffre, and her psychologist, Dr. Judith Lightfoot, both Australian nationals. The letters became public record on Monday.
The purpose of calling Giuffre&#8217;s psychologist is to solicit her testimony on Giuffre&#8217;s “alleged emotional and psychological harm and damages” as well as the “theory of false memories,” Andrew&#8217;s defense team said.
Meanwhile, Andrew&#8217;s defense wants to call Giuffre&#8217;s husband in order to “test the veracity” of her claims of sexual abuse as well as her accusations that Epstein and Maxwell threatened her with “death or bodily harm.”
During Maxwell’s trial, Maxwell&#8217;s defense argued that her accusers have “contaminated” and possibly “false” memories of their abuse. Her attorneys called to the stand a “false memory” expert, Elizabeth Loftus, who has testified in the trials of Harvey Weinstein, Bill Cosby, O.J. Simpson, and Ted Bundy.
The royal, who has denied any wrongdoing, was stripped of his military titles last month.
Prince Andrew was involved in Epstein&#8217;s elite social circle. Another notable witness from whom the judge has requested testimony is Robert Ashton Olney, a former member of Andrew&#8217;s staff. Olney was listed in Epstein’s address book under Prince Andrew&#8217;s name.
A now-infamous picture shows Prince Andrew with his arm around the waist of a young Giuffre and Ghislaine Maxwell, Epstein&#8217;s former girlfriend, in the background. Giuffre has accused Maxwell of sending her to Andrew for him to sexually abuse.
Maxwell was <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/ghislaine-maxwell-jeffrey-epsteins-former-girlfriend-found-guilty-in-sex-abuse-trial">found</a> guilty in December on five of six counts, including the sex trafficking of a minor.
Epstein was found dead in his Manhattan jail cell in August 2019 before the well-connected and wealthy financier could go on trial for his alleged decades of grooming and sexual abuse, including rape, of young girls in the 1990s and early 2000s.
Over the course of the trial, the prosecution painted a picture of a pair of fully-grown adults, Maxwell and Epstein, who were “partners in crime” and had a “playbook” for targeting minors and sexually abusing them.
The trial prompted speculation that incriminating information could potentially come to light about some of the high-profile names connected to Epstein, such as Microsoft founder Bill Gates, former presidents Donald Trump and Bill Clinton, Bobby Kennedy Jr., and former U.S. Sen. George Mitchell. However, the trial revealed little new information about Epstein’s circle of friends.

Prince Andrew has reportedly deleted his social media accounts on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter as he faces a lawsuit over sexual abuse claims from an alleged victim of Jeffrey Epstein. Prince Andrew has denied all allegations.
“Channels are in the process of being removed,” a Buckingham Palace spokeswoman said, according to <a href="https://www.wsj.com/articles/prince-andrews-twitter-profile-instagram-account-shut-down-11642703915" target="_blank" rel="noopener">The Washington Post</a> on Thursday.
A Facebook page remains live but shows the latest post from 2020.
Prince Andrew&#8217;s Instagram handle @hrhthedukeofyork leads to a page that states, &#8220;The link you followed may be broken, or the page may have been removed.&#8221;
The prince&#8217;s Twitter account @thedukeofyork shows, &#8220;This account does not exist.&#8221; His YouTube account is also no longer searchable.
The Daily Mail reported that &#8220;all of his social media channels had now been removed and were no longer live, but some of them were taking longer to filter through. The source said: &#8216;The changes have been made to reflect the recent statement from Buckingham Palace regarding The Duke of York.'&#8221;

The actions follow an announcement last week that Prince Andrew was being stripped of military affiliations and patronages over allegations of sexual abuse from nearly two decades ago.
&#8220;The Duke of York will continue not to undertake any public duties and is defending this case as a private citizen,&#8221; according to a statement, <a href="https://news.sky.com/story/prince-andrews-military-affiliations-and-royal-patronages-returned-to-the-queen-12515222" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Sky News</a> reported.
The news included the discontinuation of the title &#8220;His Royal Highness&#8221; according to a Buckingham Palace official.
The lawsuit was filed in 2021 by Virginia Giuffre, an alleged victim of Epstein, who has claimed she was forced to have sex with the British leader when she was 17 years old. She alleges the actions took place in London, New York, and on Epstein&#8217;s private island.
The prince faces the legal case in New York as a private citizen following the recent announcement. A judge rejected the prince&#8217;s attempt to have the lawsuit thrown out.

Prince Andrew’s legal team had argued that the previously secret 2009 agreement between his accuser, Virginia Giuffre, formerly Virginia Roberts, and sex offender Jeffrey Epstein would release the British royal from liability, even though the now-unveiled documents make no mention of Andrew by name.
“The settlement signed by Prince Andrew’s accuser that the Duke hopes will lead to the dismissal of her sex assault lawsuit against him was unsealed today,” <a href="https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-10364819/Unsealed-settlement-Jeffrey-Epstein-Virginia-Robert-makes-no-mention-Prince-Andrew.html">The Daily Mail</a> reported. “Signed in 2009, Virginia Giuffre agreed to be paid $500,000 by Jeffrey Epstein to resolve the sex abuse case against him.”</blockquote>
