America’s military isn’t just hammering Iran’s regime on the battlefield — it’s blowing apart Tehran’s propaganda machine online too.
U.S. Central Command issued a blunt fact check on Wednesday, dismantling a string of dramatic claims pushed by the Iranian regime as Operation Epic Fury continues expanding across Iranian airspace.
Iranian state outlets and officials have circulated a series of sweeping claims in recent days, including that United States forces are withdrawing from the region, that an American destroyer had been sunk, that Iranian forces shot down United States fighter jets, and that 100 United States Marines had been killed.
CENTCOM says none of it is true.
“More fake news from the Iranian regime,” the command wrote in a statement posted to X, before outlining what it said is actually happening on the battlefield.

According to the United States military, American forces are not retreating — they are expanding the fight.
United States aircraft and naval assets are pushing deeper into Iranian airspace as strikes intensify against military infrastructure tied to Tehran’s drone and ballistic missile programs.
At the same time, American forces have already destroyed a significant portion of Iran’s naval capability in the region.
According to CENTCOM, United States forces have sunk more than 20 Iranian regime vessels using what the command described as overwhelming firepower from air, land, and sea operations.
The campaign is also dramatically degrading Iran’s ability to launch attacks.
Over a four-day period, United States forces have reduced Iranian regime drone launches by 73 percent and ballistic missile launches by 86 percent, according to the military’s latest assessment.
The command concluded its fact check with a blunt reminder of the imbalance between the two forces.
“United States military power projection capability is unmatched,” CENTCOM said.
The update comes as Operation Epic Fury enters one of its most intense phases since the joint United States–Israel operation began.
The campaign was launched after United States and Israeli forces carried out a precision strike that eliminated Iran’s longtime Supreme Leader and targeted key components of the regime’s military infrastructure tied to its missile and nuclear programs.
In response, Iranian officials vowed what they called the “fiercest offensive in history,” launching waves of missiles and drones across the region, including attacks targeting Israel and United States positions.
But the latest battlefield data suggests those capabilities are already being severely degraded.
American and allied air defenses have intercepted many incoming threats, while follow-on United States strikes have systematically targeted drone launch sites, missile batteries, and naval assets tied to Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps.
At the same time, Iranian officials and state media have continued circulating dramatic claims of battlefield victories — assertions the United States military says simply don’t match reality.
Battlefield data tells a very different story: Iranian missile launches are plummeting, its naval forces are being destroyed, and American forces are expanding strikes deeper into Iranian airspace as Operation Epic Fury intensifies.

Israel isn’t just striking Iran — it’s staring down thousands of Hezbollah rockets and daring the terror group to try.
As Operation Epic Fury targets Iran’s missile and military infrastructure, Israeli intelligence officials say Hezbollah still retains significant firepower. According to two officials who spoke to Fox News, the terror group has between 11,000 and 12,000 rockets and missiles remaining in its arsenal.
Roughly 5,500 to 6,000 of those are believed to be within range of Israel.
That’s about one-fifth of Hezbollah’s pre-war firepower — a dramatic reduction — but still enough to threaten civilian population centers, including parts of central Israel. Hundreds of the remaining weapons are medium-range missiles capable of reaching deep into the country.
And Israeli officials say Hezbollah isn’t backing down.
“They are actually trying to increase their capabilities,” one intelligence official said. “Both in the fire capabilities with rockets and rocket launchers, and ground units that they still have.”
In short, even after taking heavy losses, the Iran-backed group is trying to rebuild.
The warning comes as Israel expands its campaign following Operation Epic Fury, the joint U.S.–Israel strike aimed at dismantling Iran’s missile and nuclear infrastructure. Israeli leaders have described the mission as controlled and decisive — not a regime-change war and not an endless conflict — while making clear they prepared for retaliation from Tehran’s proxy network.
That includes Hezbollah.
Lebanon’s government says it is committed to the ceasefire framework brokered in part through U.S. diplomacy during President Donald Trump’s tenure.
Hezbollah terrorists appear to be operating outside that framework.
Despite Lebanon’s stated commitment, the group has continued rocket activity and military positioning that Israeli officials say undermines the ceasefire and increases the risk of escalation.
For Israeli leaders, that is precisely why preparations were made ahead of Operation Epic Fury.
The posture from Jerusalem is straightforward: Israel knows exactly what Hezbollah has left — and it is prepared for it.

One of the things you&#8217;re hearing tonight from critics of the president is that there is no direct attack on the United States. Therefore, no sort of military action ought to have been undertaken with regard to Iran. 
First of all, historically speaking, that&#8217;s not true. The Iranian government has been responsible for the deaths of hundreds, if not thousands, of Americans over the course of time, ranging from the 1983 barracks bombing in Lebanon via its proxy Hezbollah, to the death of hundreds of American soldiers in Iraq during the Iraq War.
The Iranian regime has also been responsible for the murder of people abroad, ranging from Europe to South America to, obviously, the Middle East, where it has activated its proxies against American allies, not just Israel, but also including Saudi Arabia, the UAE, and other countries in the region.
The Iranian government is the leading sponsor of terrorism on planet Earth. It has been for decades.
The president decided to end that threat.
The idea that America has never suffered a direct attack or has not recently suffered a direct attack from Iran is not true. But people say, “It wasn&#8217;t a direct attack right now. Iran didn&#8217;t attack a tower in New York.” 

That&#8217;s true. But that is not the only reason why you take out a regime, why you go after the leadership. What the United States is doing right now is recognizing that there was a unique opportunity presented by the situation on the ground in Iran for a change of direction, which will totally upend the politics of the Middle East and the world in a tremendous way.
Let&#8217;s start with geopolitics. What&#8217;s the geopolitical reason for the United States to be involved? Because geopolitics do affect Americans. America takes action abroad in order to affect its geopolitical position. This, for example, is why, if China were to threaten Taiwan, that would affect Americans because we get semiconductors from Taiwan.
Also, if China continues to expand its footprint, that means America&#8217;s economic and military interests are threatened. The current regime in Iran acts as a link between China and Russia. It provides enormous amounts of oil to the Chinese machine, and it gives the Russian war machine its drones. And, of course, it acts as a check and balance against the United States in the Middle East.
That is what Iran has historically done.
To understand what President Trump is doing geopolitically, you have to understand the consequences if he didn&#8217;t do it. If President Trump had left the Iranian regime in place after it murdered 32,000 of its own citizens in violation of his own red line; if the Iranian regime continued to rebuild all of its military and nuclear facilities, which is what it was doing — if it continued to do that and President Trump did nothing — the geopolitical consequences for the United States would have been disastrous.
Why? Because when China looks at that, perhaps they make their move on Taiwan. When Russia looks at that, then they really up the ante in Ukraine.
Trump is the president who will not allow, under any circumstances, the threat of force to go away. He understands better than anyone that the credible threat of American military force is the thing that keeps America in the driver&#8217;s seat globally. That is what he was doing. He is pushing China off the ball with regard to Taiwan. He is pushing Russia off the ball with regard to Ukraine.
And yes, of course, he is getting rid of the cancerous regime in Tehran, which has spread its terror tentacles all over the world, predominantly in the Middle East, but also in South America and in Europe, where it has pursued terrorist attacks.

Changing out the top of the regime in Iran will have massive repercussions.
There are a lot of people who think that in order for the United States to justify any military action, a threat must either be immediately imminent — meaning like they&#8217;re going to blow up a building in New York right now — or that there must have been a direct attack.
Historically, blown opportunities lead to significantly worse after-effects. Bill Clinton failing to kill Osama bin Laden in the late 1990s when we had him in the crosshairs led to the attack on the USS Cole and the attacks on 9/11.
The unwillingness of the West to topple the Bolshevik regime in its earliest iterations in Russia by failing to sufficiently support the Whites against the Reds in Russia led to a full century of Soviet sponsorship of mass murder.
The unwillingness of the United States to help Chiang Kai-Shek fight back against the Communists in China led to the rise of the Chinese Communist Party, responsible for the deaths of tens of millions of its own citizens, and which now remains the main geopolitical threat facing America today.
In other words, when you have an opportunity to effectuate serious change at relatively low cost, you do it.
The United States has complete air superiority. Why? Because after the 12-Day War last year, in which Israel essentially defenestrated the air defense systems in Iran, the United States essentially had clear airways to go and take out huge numbers of Iranian regime targets. The opportunity was there.
Not only that, but the opportunity became even greater because the Iranian people were tired of living under this regime. The Iranian rial (IRR)  is so dirt cheap right now that it would take 1 million Iranian rials to amount to 75 cents in the United States. And so, the Iranian people were tired of it, which is why they rose up in December of last year and started mass protesting in the streets.
So the opportunity is for the people to take charge of their future with the help of the United States from above.
And that&#8217;s what President Trump is saying: We&#8217;re not going to put hundreds of thousands of troops on the ground and just effectuate a regime change. We are going to take out the people who are most threatening.

President Trump signed a bill on Wednesday that overturns Obama-era restrictions on whole milk for school children.
The <a href="https://www.congress.gov/bill/119th-congress/senate-bill/222/text">Whole Milk for Healthy Kids Act</a> allows schools participating in the National School Lunch Program to serve whole and 2% fat milk, a departure from the former standards set by the Obama administration. Previously, schools in the program were required to serve skim and low-fat milk.
“Whether you’re a Democrat or a Republican, whole milk is a great thing,” Trump said at the signing ceremony on Wednesday, which was attended by dairy farmers and their kids, per the <a href="https://apnews.com/article/whole-milk-school-lunches-trump-5572176286b322d844bb76d52906e2c7">Associated Press</a>. 
&#8220;With this legislation, schools will finally be able to expand their offerings to include nutritious whole milk,&#8221; the president said. &#8220;This is the perfect follow-up to the new Real Food pyramid.&#8221; The bill includes provisions for parents who prefer non-dairy alternatives, which were previously only allowed with a doctor’s note.
&#8220;We&#8217;re eliminating that rather ridiculous policy, allowing parents to choose what is best for their child, which is a big move,&#8221; Trump said, per <a href="https://www.foxnews.com/health/whole-milk-headed-back-school-cafeterias-after-trump-signs-health-law-experts-benefits">Fox News</a>.
The newly passed bill reverses the largely unsuccessful Healthy Hunger-Free Kids Act of 2010, championed by Michelle Obama, which aimed to <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/rfk-jr-could-do-what-michelle-obama-actually-promised-healthy-lunches-for-low-income-students">curtail childhood obesity</a> by reducing calories and fat in school lunches.

The bill comes just one week after Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and Secretary of Agriculture Brooke Rollins announced major changes to the Dietary Guidelines for Americans (DGA), as The Daily Wire previously <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/rfk-flips-the-food-pyramid-and-announces-massive-changes-to-dietary-guidelines">reported</a>. 
The new guidance flipped the food pyramid upside down, advising Americans to eat whole foods, prioritize healthy fats and protein, and limit or avoid ultra-processed foods. Kennedy and Rollins declared the war on “healthy fats,” which included whole milk, was over.
These changes follow RFK&#8217;s Make America Healthy Again initiative, which he’s championed since before Trump took office. During a 2024 Fox &amp; Friends <a href="https://www.instagram.com/reel/DBwLt1dJ6mH/">interview</a>, RFK was asked what he would do to improve school lunches. 
He replied, “I’ll get processed food out of lunches immediately. About half the school lunch program goes to processed food… We’re creating a diabetes problem in our kids, by giving them food that is poison and I’m going to stop that.”

Europe’s weakness is no longer just Europe’s problem; it is the West’s crisis. For decades, the continent has drifted into complacency, retreating from free markets, hollowing out its militaries, and outsourcing its security to Washington. What began as integration hardened into dependency. The result is a Europe that is economically stagnant, strategically vulnerable, and increasingly unsure of its own identity.
President Trump’s recently released National Security Strategy and the National Defense Authorization Act are the first major American documents in a generation that speak to Europe not as a ward, but as an adult. They state, in effect, that the West cannot survive if its largest democratic bloc insists on remaining structurally weak. America will not abandon Europe, but it will no longer indulge Europe’s illusions. The ball is now in Europe’s court.
Trump’s statecraft is often misdescribed as improvisation. In reality, a Trump Doctrine of strategic sovereignty has emerged. Its core is simple: no nation is entitled to protection from the United States unless it actively contributes to collective security; coalitions are built on shared interests and values, not on inertia; and the West is worth preserving. Once the United States and Europe shared these beliefs, and their alliance was strong on this basis.
This abandons the fantasy of a self-enforcing “rules-based order.” Russia’s attack on Georgia or Ukraine, and other similar powers’ attacks on other weaker countries, have repeatedly shown that there is no universally accepted rules-based order. The simple, stubborn fact is that order is made and maintained by sovereign states that possess power, will, and clarity of purpose. Trump’s approach replaces the old habit of open-ended guarantees with a “balance of sovereigns”: the United States will remain the preeminent Western power, but its allies must become genuine pillars, not permanent dependents, to keep the balance of power in the West and keep at bay geopolitical adversaries that understand solely strength.
Trump has already done more to weaken the Russia-China-Iran-North Korea axis than his predecessor. Trump’s pressure on Moscow has been more consequential than Joe Biden’s. By pushing NATO allies to raise defense spending, by imposing secondary measures that hit Russian oil revenues, and by brokering peace in the Caucasus, Trump has constrained Russia’s maneuvering space.
Iran, once emboldened by Western appeasement, is now reeling. Israeli and American strikes have gutted its nuclear and military infrastructure. Combined with the Abraham Accords and the Armenia-Azerbaijan peace agreement, the Middle East has been reshaped in ways that keep Russia out and leave Tehran increasingly isolated. Iran’s proxies are weakened, its economy strangled, and its strategic depth reduced.
The updated Monroe Doctrine has likewise kept China out of the Western Hemisphere. Beijing’s attempts to buy strategic assets and political influence in Latin America have been blocked or rolled back, while Venezuela’s dictator is now under arrest, with his regime destabilized. Trump’s declarations about the Panama Canal and Greenland should be seen as part of this larger doctrine.
Taken together, these moves have fractured the “unholy alliance” of America’s adversaries. Europe should take note: Trump has shown that strength and clarity can weaken adversaries far more effectively than platitudes and half-measures. The United States is doing its part to reshape the global balance. The question is whether Europe will do its part to reshape itself.
Security begins with production. Europe’s retreat from free-market dynamism has hollowed out its competitiveness. While Trump has pursued reindustrialization, deregulation, near-shoring, and energy abundance in the United States, Europe has doubled down on regulatory maximalism and green utopianism — policies that have driven factories, capital, and talent elsewhere.
A continent that once powered the Industrial Revolution now tries to regulate its way into relevance. High taxes, rigid labor markets, and hostility to conventional and nuclear energy have produced dependence on Russian gas, Chinese supply chains, and American defense spending. There is no single European entity in the top 10 biggest companies, startups, or AI firms, because the European instinct has become “regulate before even creating”. 
Real recovery will not come from new Brussels programs, but from unleashing the energy and initiative of millions of individuals and families who are now trapped under layers of taxation, bureaucracy, and paternalism. Europe does not lack talent; it lacks permission to use it.
Trump’s doctrine treats Europe’s stagnation not as an internal matter, but as a strategic liability. Economic weakness means underfunded militaries, brittle societies, and a politics increasingly tempted by accommodation with authoritarian suppliers of energy and credit. A Europe that cannot sustain industry will not sustain deterrence.
If Europe wants to be something other than a museum of past greatness, it must rediscover growth: lower and simpler taxes, domestic energy, and a serious commitment to frontier technologies. Otherwise, the center of gravity of the democratic world will keep shifting from the Atlantic to the Indo-Pacific, not by American design but by European default.
Trump’s strategy does something European elites have avoided for years: it links power to identity. It speaks of restoring the West’s “civilizational self-confidence” and calls on the nations of the free world to defend their histories, cultures, and borders.
This is not nostalgia. It is strategic clarity. A society that doubts its right to exist cannot project power. A civilization that treats its past as a moral burden will not endure the costs of defense, child-rearing, or long-term investment.
For too long, influential European institutions have treated national identity as suspect, the family as optional, borders as administrative details, and free speech as a negotiable privilege. The result is fragmentation: uncontrolled migration, parallel societies, and cultural self-censorship. In such a context, phrases like “strategic autonomy” are empty. Autonomy presupposes cohesion. 
Trump’s message is that the West is not an NGO; it is a civilization. The President does not seek American domination of Europe. He seeks equilibrium. America First does not mean America Alone; it means an America strong enough to lead, partnered with European allies strong enough to matter. For Europe, that means three things: (a) Rearmament as an act of self-respect, not of deference to Washington. A Europe that cannot field serious forces from the Baltic to the Mediterranean is not “pacifist”; it is strategically unserious. (b) Reindustrialization and energy realism. A continent that shuts down reliable power without viable alternatives, and that drives industry offshore, will find its foreign policy constrained by whoever keeps its lights on. (c) Civilizational recovery. Europe must stop apologizing for its existence. Its nations, cultures and Judeo-Christian roots are not obstacles to the future; they are the only basis on which a free future can be built.
Trump has laid out a doctrine that treats Europe not as a client but as a potential equal. The question is whether Europe will seize this moment or shrink from it.  The United States has made its choice: strength, sovereignty, and renewed Western leadership. If Europe fails to rise, the West will fall, not because America abandoned it, but because Europe abandoned itself.

The United States has seized a very large <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/venezuela-cries-international-piracy-after-u-s-seizes-oil-tanker?author=Zach+Jewell&amp;category=undefined&amp;elementPosition=9&amp;row=3&amp;rowHeadline=Latest+News&amp;rowType=Vertical+Carousel&amp;title=Venezuela+Cries+%E2%80%98International+Piracy%E2%80%99+After+U.S.+Seizes+Oil+Tanker">oil tanker</a> off the Venezuelan coast.
President Trump confirmed that the United States had pursued the seizure. According to Attorney General Pam Bondi, it was headed to Cuba.
There’s been talk about establishing a no-fly zone around Venezuela. All of this is external pressure, presumably designed to force the possibility of a regime change in Venezuela without any serious threat to American troops going in on the ground.

The soldiers, with guns drawn, move toward the control booth, presumably to stop the tanker from moving toward its target.
The United States military is unparalleled at what it does and does not play around.

President Trump has always been clear in his belief that if the United States is engaged in armed conflict somewhere, we should keep the spoils that we reap. He said that about the Iraq War, suggesting that if you&#8217;re going to go to war, then you may as well take the oil as some form of compensation.
When it comes to the Venezuelan government shipping oil over to Iran in violation of sanctions or allowing the Iranians to combine their oil with Venezuelan oil and ship that elsewhere and ship the money back to Iran, keeping the spoils would be worthwhile.
If it turns out that the United States is now prepared to interdict all oil that may or may not be headed for Iran or from Iran, then this could absolutely cripple the Venezuelan economy even more than it has suffered before.
Venezuela’s economy is highly dependent on oil, mainly through its impact on exports and government revenue. Oil accounts for over 80 to 90% of all total export earnings in recent years. So if that were to shut down, whatever is left of the Venezuelan economy would basically collapse. That seems to be something that the United States is pursuing at this point.

Trump has also made clear he is going to put pressure on Gustavo Petro, the president of Colombia, which has historically been a relatively conservative state. But Petro, a far-left socialist, is more oriented toward China and Iran.
President Trump was asked about Petro describing the seizure as “barbarian.”
“He&#8217;s been fairly hostile to the United States. I haven&#8217;t given him a lot of thought,” Trump replied. “And he’s going to have himself some big problems if he doesn&#8217;t wise up. Colombia is producing a lot of drugs. &#8230; He better wise up or he&#8217;ll be next.”
The United States could put pressure on the Petro regime in Colombia. The next scheduled election for president in Colombia happens in May of 2026. So there&#8217;s every possibility that Petro could be in trouble as well.
All of this seems to be part of a broader national security strategy pursued by the White House. According to the new national security document, the foreign influence of China, Iran, or Russia in the Western hemisphere has to stop.
The national security strategy of the United States is very much a muscular Monroe Doctrine, suggesting that the Western hemisphere be cleared of outside influence.
It’s about time.

Since President Trump returned to the Oval Office, he has delivered some of the most momentous reforms in the history of the SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program), also known as the food stamp program.
Rife with fraud and exploitation, the program is costing taxpayers billions of dollars every year and enriching criminals.
Our research, however, has uncovered a new outrage: More than 5,000 liquor stores and smoke shops are now considered “authorized retailers” to accept food stamps — half of which were approved by the Biden-Autopen administration.
Fortunately, President Trump has begun a major crackdown on abuses. As it continues to improve and renovate the food stamp program, it should ensure that only stores that help achieve the program’s mission are approved as retailers.
Nevertheless, most food stamp trafficking happens not at grocery stores, but <a href="https://thefga.org/research/cracking-down-on-retailer-food-stamp-trafficking/">at convenience stores</a>. In fact, trafficking takes place at more than one out of five convenience stores that accept food stamps. And nearly <a href="https://thefga.org/research/cracking-down-on-retailer-food-stamp-trafficking/">three out of every four</a> stores that accept food stamps are convenience stores.
The Agriculture Department is supposed to vet and approve stores before allowing them to receive food stamps. But under the Biden administration, the process reportedly took as little as 15 minutes. This is obviously not enough scrutiny for stores receiving our tax dollars.
Thankfully, Trump’s Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins approved the first-ever waivers to allow states to defund soda and junk food in their food stamp programs, and states like <a href="https://www.fns.usda.gov/snap/waivers/foodrestriction/nebraska">Nebraska</a> and <a href="https://www.fns.usda.gov/snap/waivers/foodrestriction/colorado">Colorado</a> have already filed waivers to do so.
To be eligible to receive food stamps, stores are supposed to sell more than a dozen different <a href="https://www.fns.usda.gov/snap/fr-092525">staple</a> food items, or have food sales as a majority of their revenue. The stores must “effectuate the purpose of the program,” which is to improve nutrition for lower-income Americans. Yet <a href="https://thefga.org/research/cracking-down-on-retailer-food-stamp-trafficking/">more than 4,000 liquor stores</a> and 1,000 tobacco shops are currently considered USDA-approved vendors — which is suspicious, to put it mildly. The idea that a liquor store sells healthy and nutritious food — or that a tobacco store receives a majority of its revenue from food sales — is doubtful. But even if that were the case, liquor stores and tobacco stores simply do not “effectuate the purpose” of the food stamp program.
The food stamp program was created in <a href="https://www.congress.gov/bill/88th-congress/house-bill/10222/text">1964</a>, specifically to “provide for improved levels of nutrition among low-income households.” But, over the last six decades, politicians and bureaucrats have often lost sight of its mission and opened it up to enormous levels of waste, fraud, and abuse.
As a result, over the last 25 years, food stamp spending has exploded, growing more than sixfold to <a href="https://www.ers.usda.gov/topics/food-nutrition-assistance/supplemental-nutrition-assistance-program-snap/key-statistics-and-research">more than $100 billion per year</a>. More spending has meant more opportunities for fraud, and it is estimated that last year alone, <a href="https://thefga.org/research/cracking-down-on-retailer-food-stamp-trafficking/">more than $2 billion</a> in food stamp benefits were trafficked — that is, sold for cash at a discount or used to buy food that was then sold for cash. Food stamp trafficking has grown tenfold over the last 25 years.
President Trump signed <a href="https://www.fns.usda.gov/snap/obbb-implementation">historic legislation</a> to make states pay when they misuse tax dollars. These steps alone will save taxpayers billions of dollars — and thankfully, the Trump administration is not resting on its laurels and is continuing its work to improve the program by addressing food stamp trafficking.
Food stamp trafficking exploded under the Biden administration, as Democrats turned a blind eye to rampant fraud. Half of the liquor stores and smoke shops that are authorized food stamp retailers were approved under President Biden. Most of these stores are in <a href="https://thefga.org/research/cracking-down-on-retailer-food-stamp-trafficking/">California</a>, but states like Michigan and Illinois also have hundreds of liquor stores and smoke shops that are authorized to accept food stamps.
In fact, liquor stores or smoke shops are eligible to accept food stamps in every single state but North Dakota. By 2022, <a href="https://thefga.org/research/cracking-down-on-retailer-food-stamp-trafficking/">nearly half of all stores</a> receiving food stamps were convenience stores, with more than four times as many convenience stores receiving food stamps — and 15 times as much taxpayer money spent there — as there were two decades earlier.
USDA Secretary Rollins recently issued a new rule <a href="https://www.fns.usda.gov/snap/fr-092525" target="_blank" rel="noopener">that more</a> than doubled the number of required staple food items for stores to qualify to accept food stamps. The new rule also closes loopholes that counted some snack foods as staples. Secretary Rollins is also simplifying the staple food categories, making enforcement easier and ultimately more effective. These rules are just the first step, and there are indications from USDA that a larger <a href="https://www.fns.usda.gov/programs/fr-092225">crackdown</a> may be coming.
This is excellent news, but USDA should go all the way: Prohibit liquor stores, smoke shops, and other retailers that do not “improve levels of nutrition” from accepting food stamp benefits altogether. Allowing our tax dollars to be used at tobacco shops and liquor stores is not just harmful to hardworking taxpayers, but it also harms the people that food stamps are supposed to help. Secretary Rollins should keep up the good work and make the food stamp program fulfill its original purpose of improving nutrition for those who need it.

For all the hysterical claims that President Donald Trump is some sort of First Amendment supervillain, the reality is precisely the opposite. Trump has done more to defend constitutionally protected speech and to dismantle the most coordinated censorship regime in modern American history than any president in living memory.
But don’t tell that to the New York Times, NPR, or the ladies at The View. According to them, Trump is basically moments away from burning the Bill of Rights on live TV.
Why the disconnect? The modern Left has confused breaking norms with breaking laws, and those are two very different things.
Norms are unwritten rules, handshake agreements shaped by cultural institutions. Over decades, those institutions shifted left and rewrote the norms to ensure that public policy always bends in their direction. One glaring example is the “norm” that government spending must increase every year at rates higher than inflation, substantially higher.
Laws, by contrast, are enforceable with financial penalties or jail time.
Trump breaks norms. The Left breaks laws and then screams “authoritarian!” when someone tries to enforce those laws. That, in a nutshell, is the dynamic between Trump and the Democrat Party today.
To understand the elitist media’s role in all this, start with the epic collapse of journalism. The press still loves calling itself the “Fourth Estate,” bravely speaking truth to power. That may have been true once, back when reporters described reality instead of trying to socially engineer it. But over time, journalism mutated, first through ideologically uniform J-schools, then through newsroom monocultures, into something far more partisan.
Post-Watergate hero fantasies turned reporters into crusaders. Conservative viewpoints disappeared. Elitists replaced objectivity with “moral clarity” — their euphemism for political activism.
This has led to the death of journalism. The vapors emanating from its stinking corpse have made it nearly impossible for so-called “reporters” to understand basic constitutional law. So let’s clarify.
The First Amendment protects a broad range of speech, but not all speech. Speech in service of a crime? Not protected. Offer a bribe and try claiming “free speech.” See how that goes. Defamation? Also not protected. And when you take a government handout, whether as a defense contractor or a publicly funded media broadcaster, you accept the regulatory conditions that come with it.
NPR and PBS assumed otherwise. They took billions from taxpayers while repeatedly violating the law that required them to “ensure strict adherence to objectivity and balance.” They assumed the norm, that they’d always get our money through Congressional earmarks, even while breaking the law.
Trump did what no other president has ever done: he broke that norm and enforced the law. His Federal Communications Commission Chairman, Brendan Carr, has done something similar with broadcasters. That’s not censorship. That’s accountability.
The same principle applies to universities. For years, the norm was that campuses would tolerate and even encourage criminal behavior under the guise of “social activism.” Blocking highways, occupying buildings, vandalizing property, and assaulting students was perfectly fine, as long as the rioters chanted the right slogans. But the First Amendment doesn’t magically convert crime into protected speech. Trump ended that law-breaking norm, too.
None of this alone makes Trump the “greatest defender of free speech.” His words and his deeds earn him that gold model.
Just before taking the oath of office for the second time, Trump laid down the truth long forgotten by the left: “If we don’t have free speech, then we just don’t have a free country. … If this most fundamental right is allowed to perish, then the rest of our rights and liberties will topple, just like dominoes.” 
Trump’s actions followed suit. He and his administration have eviscerated the sprawling censorship apparatus built by President Joe Biden.
MRC Free Speech America has shown how the Biden administration operated the <a href="https://mrcfreespeechamerica.org/biden-censorship-initiatives-tracker">most expansive government-driven censorship system in U.S. history</a>. Not metaphorically. Literally.
A few &#8220;lowlights” from the Biden censorship regime include: federal agencies pressuring social media platforms to suppress lawful political speech; agencies partnering with private entities to provide “plausible deniability” while carrying out government censorship goals, and government “switchboards” funneling thousands of takedown demands, creating lists of posts to hide, throttle, or erase.
Biden’s objective wasn’t about fighting “misinformation,” as he has claimed. It was about controlling and shaping narratives before an election. This was speech policing.
This was government censorship.
This was illegal.
Trump tore it apart.
Through executive orders, personnel changes, and directives barring government censorship, Trump dismantled Biden’s censorship machine. Platforms can no longer hide behind federal pressure, and bureaucrats can no longer run secret speech-surveillance pipelines.
That is what defending the First Amendment looks like. Not symbolic gestures. Not pretty rhetoric. Real action. Real results. Restoring the foundational principle that in America, the government does not decide which opinions are allowed.
No other president has done more to defend the First Amendment. Trump truly has made free speech great again.

By Dismantling Biden’s Censorship Machine, Trump Made Free Speech Great Again

It is, in fact, possible to win wars.
I have spent my entire life watching the United States and the West lose wars, or at least not win wars. Initial victory, followed by gradual defeat or bizarre interventionism without the full force, weight, and commitment necessary to carry it through.
What President Trump is demonstrating, however, along with Prime Minister Netanyahu in Israel, is that it is, in fact, possible to win wars.
Let’s recall the timeline here.
On October 7, 2023, the genocidal terror group Hamas invaded Israel&#8217;s borders and killed 1,200 Israelis, mostly Jewish, and abducted 250 Israelis and took them back to their terror tunnel hellholes. In those tunnels, Hamas amassed a vast arsenal of rockets, grenades, and small arms over the course of 20 years with the support and funding from nations in the region, including Iran, Qatar, and Turkey.
There was also a serious possibility that Hezbollah was going to enter the war on the same day. In fact, Hezbollah started attacking with small rockets in the beginning and then gradually escalated. And, according to the military experts, Hezbollah was similarly genocidal and was a far better armed Iranian terror proxy based in Lebanon.
Israel also faced down a continuing terror threat from Hamas and Islamic Jihad in Judea and Samaria, the so-called West Bank. Syria was being used as a thoroughfare for Iranian arms for Hezbollah. The Houthis in Yemen were another Iranian-backed terror threat. And, of course, the Iranian government wasn&#8217;t merely spreading terrorism, they were also fast-tracking a nuclear weapons program.
That&#8217;s where things stood two years ago.
Now, two years later, the Middle East has turned completely upside down.
Israel has completely decimated Hamas, killing its entire top leadership from Gaza all the way to Iran. Israel has destroyed Hezbollah&#8217;s efficacy and killed its terror master, Hassan Nasrallah. Its attacks on Hezbollah were so effective that the Assad regime in Syria completely collapsed.
Judea and Samaria have been quieted by the work of the IDF during this time. Iranian proxies in Iraq went silent as well thanks to the Israeli Air Force. The Houthis in Yemen are sort of the one remaining outstanding enemy, and they&#8217;ve been thoroughly bombed. They are a nuisance, but they&#8217;re not an existential threat to Israel. And Iran&#8217;s nuclear program, the greatest existential threat to Israel, has been set back years, if not decades, thanks to the courage of the Israeli Air Force, and, of course, a timely, brave intervention from President Trump that led to an amazing mission flown by the United States Air Force.

And now President Trump has brokered an amazing deal, one that seemed unthinkable not long ago. The release of the final 20 live Israeli hostages all at once, along with all the remaining bodies released. Israel maintains a secure posture in the Gaza Strip itself as a transitional plan toward a future without Hamas, supported by regional allies, including countries that one moment ago were sending cash and weapons into for Hamas to use, like Qatar and Turkey.
The possibility of future Abraham Accords with countries like Saudi Arabia and Indonesia are now on the table.
So, here is the question for the West: How is it that this war was won?
Because it&#8217;s hard to win wars.
Well, the answer is the conventional wisdom was stupid — and it has been stupid for decades.
And the decision makers here are ”out-of-the-box” thinkers. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is someone who truly understands the nature of the Middle East and Middle Eastern history. But President Trump is the real difference maker here, because President Trump decided that America would no longer just go along with the 80-year-old slogans promoted by the Arabists at the State Department. 
The conventional wisdom was that military action does not guarantee security in the Middle East. That is a lie. It was always a lie. It was always catastrophically wrong.
In fact, every time Israel has provided for its own security, it was not through a peace deal. It was a peace deal after a victory. 
Military action is the only guarantor of support and security in the Middle East. It was military action that removed every supporting pillar beneath Hamas&#8217;s feet.
The conventional wisdom said the United States ought to play a weird, neutral role between Israel and its genocidal enemies. You saw this from Joe Biden. Kamala Harris talks like this all the time. Bill Clinton tried it until he realized that Yasser Arafat was totally uninterested in peace. 
But this was the conventional wisdom. Was that, sure, Israel was a strong ally of the United States, but America had to play honest broker between Israel and the Palestinians. And it turns out that that was not just wrong, it was idiotically wrong.
The Trump administration openly supported the IDF.
They openly provided the weapons. 
They openly provided the rhetorical support for Israel to win. And it was that that led to Hamas giving up the ghost and to Hamas, his allies, realizing that actually Israel was not going to be forced to simply accept the risk of its own survival. 
The conventional wisdom said that if you threaten to kill terror leaders abroad, that&#8217;d be conflagrationist and terrible. That, too, was wrong. 
Israel killed terror masters in Iran itself. Israel killed Ismail Haniya, the political leader of Hamas. And of course, it was the strike in Qatar that actually led to Qatar and Turkey deciding to press for Hamas’s ouster. 
Israel then hit inside Qatar in an attempted strike on Hamas&#8217;s leadership. They missed, but the message was made clear: Israel would be willing to do it again. 
And then the president essentially said, “Okay, you know what? We&#8217;ll come in. We&#8217;ll give a security guarantee to Qatar so this doesn&#8217;t happen again. But we need you to end this war. We need you to work with Turkey to stop all of this.”
It was a carrots-and-sticks approach led by President Trump.
President Trump understands the Middle East better than all the so-called experts.
And, by the way, he understands the Middle East far better than the supposed neocons, the total interventionists pushing for ”Democracy in the Middle East.” Trump is not one of those.
He also understands it better than the isolationists in his own party who wanted to reject Trump&#8217;s tempered and rational ”Peace through Strength” in favor of what might be called “Cowardice through Catastrophism,” the idea that World War III is lurking behind every corner — despite the fact that President Trump is the most rational purveyor of American force in modern American history. There was no shot that World War III would break out over one B-2 sortie over Iran. That was not going to happen because Trump was backing the IDF&#8217;s capacity to destroy Hamas in the Gaza Strip. That was not going to happen. The catastrophism was nonsense and it was nonsense from the beginning.

Prime Minister Netanyahu, who soldiered through withering criticism both at home and abroad, of course, for the great crime of seeking victory over those who would destroy his country, deserves credit here.
Huge credit, obviously, as Jared Kushner says, to the Israeli people who mobilized in an unprecedented way to defend their nation and their civilization, we&#8217;re talking about 45-year-old guys leaving four kids at home and their business to go fight in Gaza in the “Sherut Miluim,” the Israeli Army Reserve Service.
And of course, huge props to the American people who provided Israel the support it needed to win, both in terms of material and mostly by making the right decision and electing Donald J. Trump as President of the United States. So, thank you to all the voters of Wisconsin, Michigan, and Pennsylvania.
It turns out that victory over genocidal enemies is indeed possible. What it requires is a smart strategy that bucks the conventional wisdom, a desire and willingness to win, and the perspicacity to dismiss people who promote either a starry-eyed millenarianism, in which every nation is going to break out into democracy someday, or a benighted conventional wisdom that fails every single time it&#8217;s tried.

It was a long time coming.
On Thursday, it was announced that a grand jury had <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/morning-brief-comey-charged-ice-shooter-investigated-californias-crime-wave-intensifies?author=Morning+Wire&amp;category=undefined&amp;elementPosition=12&amp;row=3&amp;rowHeadline=Latest+News&amp;rowType=Vertical+Carousel&amp;title=Morning+Brief%3A+Comey+Charged%2C+ICE+Shooter+Investigated+%26+California%E2%80%99s+Crime+Wave+Intensifies">indicted</a> a longtime target of President Trump&#8217;s, former FBI director James Comey.
James Comey has been on President Trump&#8217;s so-called target list for a very long time, going all the way back to when President Trump fired him during his first term. He fired him because James Comey almost certainly bootstrapped into the press the so-called Steele dossier. He promoted the Trump/Russia collusion hoax. He was deeply involved in every aspect of that — up to and including the use of the Steele dossier — in documents that were presented directly to President Trump, which was then used as an excuse by the media to push the Steele dossier, a compendium of lies about President Trump, into public view.
There have been open questions about whether James Comey, over the intervening years in which he testified repeatedly in front of Congress, among others, had actually committed perjury.
It is a very, very, very short indictment, a page and a half maximum. It accuses Comey by stating he “did willfully and knowingly make a materially false, fictitious, and fraudulent statement in a matter within the jurisdiction of the legislative branch of the Government of the United States, by falsely stating to a U.S. Senator during a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing that he, James B. Comey Jr., had not ‘authorized someone else at the FBI to be an anonymous source in news reports’ regarding an FBI investigation concerning” President Trump.
The indictment continues, “That statement was false, because, as James B. Comey Jr. then and there knew, he in fact had authorized PERSON 3 to serve as an anonymous source in news reports regarding an FBI investigation concerning” Trump.
The allegation is that there was a person lower down at the FBI who leaked to the press details involving the investigation into President Trump, and it is suggested that the person was authorized by Comey illegally to do that, and Comey subsequently lied about it. Or, if he had the authority to authorize the leak, he lied about it.
That lie is count one, which is the perjury charge. Count two is obstruction of a congressional proceeding, saying then on that same date, based on that same testimony, Comey did “corruptly endeavor to influence, obstruct, and impede the due and proper exercise of the power of inquiry under which an investigation was being had before the Senate Judiciary Committee by making false and misleading statements before that committee.”

That is the entirety of the indictment. It is very specific. It is presumably about one or two lines in his testimony to the Senate Judiciary Committee. The reason it&#8217;s being brought so quickly is because there&#8217;s a five-year statute of limitations on perjury charges. Comey’s testimony was September 30, 2020. It is now September 26, 2025, so we are about to expire on that statute of limitations.
It appears from much of the public information that this isn&#8217;t a particularly well-predicated indictment, and the indictment itself is quite weak and that it&#8217;s unlikely to survive in court.
Many of the things mentioned for the possibility of indictment of Comey are immoral and display ethics much worse than this.
But that&#8217;s not what he&#8217;s being indicted for.
At the end of the day, the indictment that&#8217;s left is pretty simple. Comey either lied about leaking to The New York Times in a tantrum because he was getting fired or he didn&#8217;t.
James Comey has decided to do what no one should ever do when hit with an indictment, which is to go directly on camera and talk. First rule of lawyering: Tell your client to shut the hell up.
But Comey <a href="https://www.politico.com/news/2025/09/25/defiant-comey-video-defense-donald-trump-00581806">publicly stated</a>: 
<blockquote>My family and I have known for years that there are costs to standing up to Donald Trump, but we couldn&#8217;t imagine ourselves living any other way. We will not live on our knees. And you shouldn&#8217;t either. Somebody that I love dearly, recently said that fear is the tool of a tyrant. And she&#8217;s right. But I&#8217;m not afraid. And I hope you&#8217;re not either. I hope instead you are engaged, you are paying attention, and you will vote like your beloved country depends upon it, which it does. My heart is broken for the Department of Justice, but I have great confidence in the federal judicial system, and I&#8217;m innocent. So let&#8217;s have a trial. And keep the faith.</blockquote>
He is simply the worst. Such a self-aggrandizing ridiculous figure.
This person had brought our country to the brink — in terms of the Justice Department, the FBI — for basically a decade, and it turns out he was one of the most ridiculous figures in the history of American public service. Truly a ridiculous figure, not only blowing the Hillary Clinton investigation, but blowing the Donald Trump investigation, manipulating the release, effectively, of the Steele dossier, and then using his perch as the guy who got fired by Donald Trump in order to launch salvos at Donald Trump over and over and over again, while walking through the forest and taking selfies of himself, or walking on the beach and taking pictures of shells on the beach, saying, “86 Donald Trump.”

So don&#8217;t mistake my questions about the indictment, that I somehow believe that James Comey is deserving of tremendous sympathy. I do not think that James Comey is worthy of tremendous sympathy. He was an awful director of the FBI, a joke of a public figure, and his “I&#8217;m standing up to authority. I am the hero standing in the breach” posturing is silly.
He&#8217;s just a silly, silly person. That doesn&#8217;t speak to whether the criminal indictment that is being brought here is weak or strong.
We&#8217;ll see what the underlying evidence looks like on the face of it.
But as far as personal sympathy for James Comey?
The guy is a schmuck.

President Trump became the first American president to be hosted at a second state visit to Great Britain this week. The President was greeted with a parade of British soldiers wearing dress red uniforms and marching in perfect unison while ragtag American soldiers popped up from behind rocks and trees and shot at them until they surrendered.
Trump and his wife Melania were given a lavish state dinner at Windsor Castle. Trump told the other guests that he was astounded by the beauty of the castle, and said it was absolutely amazing what you could do with Legos.
The dinner was attended by many British dignitaries including Prime Minister Keir Starmer, who gave a brief toast in which he pledged to continue lowering the British voting age until the electorate was ignorant enough to keep the Labour party in power. 
Also at the Dinner was Education Minister Mohammed Fatwa Fatwa Mohammed Fatwa, the founder of the Fatwa Pre-School for the Grooming of Naughty but Strangely Alluring Little White Girls. The Education Minister presented Trump with a ceremonial scimitar which, luckily, just missed when the president turned his head at the last minute to point at a chart showing just how many Islamists he plans to deport after meeting Mohammed Fatwa Fatwa Mohammed Fatwa.
The dinner was also attended by the mayors of several major British cities, including Mayor Fatwa Mohammed Mohammed Fatwa, the mayor of Birming-al-hambra, and, of course, the mayor of London, Sadiq Khan Mohammed Fatwa Fatwa followed by several more Fatwas and Mohammeds.
The dinner began with a grace said by the Archbishop of Canterbury, who was then arrested for praying within 300 miles of an abortion clinic. Kemi Badenoch, the leader of Britain’s Conservative Party, called the arrest absurd, saying Britain was a Christian nation, after which she was arrested for violating the blasphemy laws. Keir Starmer explained that the U.K. absolutely has free speech but only as long as you talk silently to yourself and are not within 750 miles of an abortion clinic, where such talk could be mistaken for praying to the God of love and life, which would be offensive to the nation’s terrorists. Fortunately Mohammed Fatwa Fatwa Mohammed Fatwa did not hear Kemi Badenoch’s offensive remark because he was busy on the phone, arranging the sale of some of his pre-school students.

King Charles III then gave a speech, in which he spoke warmly of the special relationship between the U.S. and the U.K., saying that the two nations shared many values, although he couldn’t name them for fear of being arrested. President Trump then rose and also gave a speech, saying that Great Britain was one of his favorite places in the middle east, even though he’d gotten a much nicer present from Qatar, who gave him a jet, while the British only gave him some cheap oil painting of Winston Churchill, which was then confiscated for spreading imperialist ideas that were offensive to the Muslims who were conquering the country.
The affair ended with Princess Kate and Melania Trump trying to decide who was more glamorous with an arm wrestling match. Princess Kate managed to pin the First Lady, but Melania responded by taking off that gigantic circular hat she wears and spinning it at Kate as if it were Oddjob’s derby in &#8220;Goldfinger.&#8221; Fortunately for relations between the two nations, Kate managed to duck, and the hat sailed past her and beheaded Mohammed Fatwa Fatwa Mohammed Fatwa, who congratulated the First Lady on mastering the essentials of sharia law.
After the dinner, Trump accompanied Prime Minister Starmer on a tour of factories and businesses that Labour has destroyed by their socialist policies. Trump said he was delighted to make the state visit, but said next time he had to come to one of these crap-hole countries, he hoped it would be someplace like Haiti, so at least he could get some sun.
