Recording artist <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/pink">Pink</a>, an avid <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/abortion">abortion</a> advocate, is reportedly set to perform at the Democratic National Convention in Chicago on Thursday night.
Per the Chicago NBC <a href="https://www.nbcchicago.com/dnc-chicago-2024/pink-set-to-headline-final-night-of-dnc-in-chicago-perform-before-harris-acceptance-speech/3528327/">affiliate</a>, Pink is scheduled just before Vice President Kamala Harris takes the stage to accept her party’s nomination.
Wednesday night included performances by Stevie Wonder, John Legend with Sheila E., and country singer Maren Morris. Rapper Lil Jon made an appearance Tuesday to perform &#8220;Turn Down for What&#8221; and a politics-themed remix of &#8220;Get Low.&#8221;
Other famous performers <a href="https://www.usatoday.com/story/entertainment/music/2024/08/21/democratic-national-convention-2024-music-performers/74892920007/">included</a> Jason Isbell, Patti LaBelle, Mickey Guyton, and Common with Jonathan McReynolds.

Pink, whose real name is Alecia Moore, has been an outspoken supporter of the Democratic Party and specifically of abortion access for years. She reacted strongly to the overturning of Roe v. Wade in 2022 by telling fans they should stop listening to her music if they were pro-life.
“Let’s be clear: if you believe the government belongs in a woman’s uterus, a gay persons (sic) business or marriage, or that racism is okay- THEN PLEASE IN THE NAME OF YOUR LORD NEVER F***ING LISTEN TO MY MUSIC AGAIN. AND ALSO F*** RIGHT OFF. We good?” she tweeted at the time, as The Daily Wire previously <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/they-hate-you-pnk-gets-personal-attacking-sad-old-white-men-in-anti-gop-screed">reported</a>. 
After receiving backlash online, Pink followed up. “I think all of our nerves are collectively fried from so many years of racism, misogyny, homophobia, etc. +pandemics, mass shootings, wars and the total lunacy, hypocrisy, ignorance of the GOP-it’s all a bit much. But we will stick together. Good will prevail over evil,” the three-time Grammy Award winner wrote.

This year’s Democratic convention has been focused on the topic of abortion. Planned Parenthood set up a mobile vasectomy and <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/satan-is-pleased-riley-gaines-and-more-react-to-dncs-10-abortions-in-first-day">abortion clinic</a> down the street from the event and announced it had successfully performed ten abortions there on the first day. 
Oprah Winfrey also used the convention to shill for abortion. She <a href="https://x.com/DennyBurk/status/1826462831589380571">said</a> during her DNC speech on Wednesday that “there is no American Dream” without “control” over “when and how you choose to bring your children into this world.”

<a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/pink">Pink</a> definitely got everyone’s attention on Tuesday when she announced she would be canceling one of her European concerts just a few weeks into her Summer 2024 Carnival Tour.
In a post on <a href="https://www.instagram.com/p/C868t8JNA_k/?igsh=MWQ1ZGUxMzBkMA%3D%3D" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Instagram</a>, the 44-year-old pop singer-born Alecia Moore-shared a black-and-white photo from one of her concerts and wrote about how sorry she was that she had to cancel her show in Bern on Wednesday as part of her tour at stadiums across the U.K. and Europe.
“I do everything I can to ensure I can perform for you every night, but after consultation with my doctor and exploring all options available, I’ve been advised that I’m unable to continue with the show tomorrow,” Pink wrote.
“I was looking forward to being with you and making memories with you and sharing our show with you and am so disappointed that we have to cancel,” she added. “All tickets will be refunded; please visit @takk_ab_entertainment for more information.”
She closed out her post, saying, “Sending love and health to you all, and I really hope to see you again soon. P!nk xoxo.”
The cancellation of the show comes after the “Raise Your Glass” hitmaker kicked off her <a href="https://www.thepinknews.com/2024/06/12/pink-setlist-2024-tour-dates/">summer concert tour</a> on June 11 in Cardiff and had only performed 9 shows.

The 44-year-old pop star recently <a href="https://thehill.com/blogs/in-the-know/4307152-pink-banned-books-florida-tour/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">announced</a> she&#8217;s teamed up with a nonprofit called <a href="https://pen.org/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">PEN</a> America to hand out 2,000 &#8220;banned books&#8221; while touring the Sunshine State.
&#8220;Books have held a special joy for me from the time I was a child, and that&#8217;s why I am unwilling to stand by and watch while books are banned by schools,&#8221; Pink said in a <a href="https://www.rollingstone.com/music/music-news/pink-give-out-banned-books-florida-shows-1234876749/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">press release</a>.
&#8220;It&#8217;s especially hateful to see authorities take aim at books about race and racism and against LGBTQ authors and those of color,&#8221; she added in her statement. &#8220;We have made so many strides toward equality in this country and no one should want to see this progress reversed. No more banned books.&#8221;

Florida Republican Governor Ron DeSantis&#8217; press secretary, Jeremy Redfern, also hit back and provided a list on <a href="https://x.com/JeremyRedfernFL/status/1724400120844685782?s=20" target="_blank" rel="noopener">X</a> of the the books that are on &#8220;Florida&#8217;s BEST Standards English Language Arts&#8221; list, which includes books like &#8220;To Kill A Mockingbird&#8221; and &#8220;The Diary of Anne Frank.&#8221;
&#8220;We&#8217;re used to ill-informed attacks from California&#8217;s liberal elites, and sadly, this is another example,&#8221; Florida Education Commissioner Manny Diaz, Jr. told The Daily Wire in a statement. &#8220;It&#8217;s easy to tell she&#8217;s lying when several of the books on her list are actually required reading in Florida.&#8221;
&#8220;When we took nation-leading action to support parental rights, we knew the woke mob would come for us, but with Governor DeSantis as the leader of our state, we were undeterred,&#8221; the statement added. &#8220;We will continue to fight for parents and make sure Florida remains the national leader in education.&#8221;

Singer <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/pink">Pink</a> recalled when she &#8220;almost died&#8221; during an experience with <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/drugs">drugs</a> as a teenager.
The 44-year-old <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/celebrities">singer</a>, whose real name is Alecia Moore Hart, described the incident during an interview with Cecilia Vega for “60 Minutes.” 
&#8220;Thanksgiving of 1995, I was at a rave and I overdosed,&#8221; Pink revealed during the interview. &#8220;I was on, oh boy, ecstasy, angel dust, crystal, all kinds of things. Then I was out. Done. Too much.&#8221;
When Vega asked if she &#8220;almost died,&#8221; the singer answered, &#8220;Yeah.&#8221;
Pink continued, &#8220;And I remember my friend was standing over me, smacking me across the face. And he was like, &#8216;Get up. You wanna sing, right?&#8217; And I was like, &#8216;Yeah.&#8217; He&#8217;s like, &#8216;Get on the microphone.&#8217; So I got up and I sang. And the DJ there took me aside and said, &#8216;Come back tomorrow, I&#8217;ll give you a guest spotlight. But you can never touch drugs again.&#8217; And I never did, haven&#8217;t since.&#8221;
Pink described that experience as a pivotal turning point in her life. The Grammy Award winner signed her first record deal shortly after when she was 16 as a part of the R&amp;B girl group Choice. The band broke up in 1998 and Pink launched a successful solo career in 2000.
&#8220;I was a punk. I had a mouth. I had a chip on my shoulder,&#8221; she told Vega of her childhood. &#8220;Basically I grew up in a house where every day my parents were screaming at each other, throwing things. They hated each other. And then I got into drugs. I was selling drugs &#8230; I dropped out of high school. I was off the rails.&#8221;
Pink grew up in Doylestown, Pennsylvania, with an ER nurse mom and insurance salesman father. Her parents divorced before she was 10.

In a post on X, formerly Twitter, Pink said she was getting &#8220;many threats&#8221; because people are confusing Poi flags with Israeli flags. Poi flags, she said, are used at her shows because the Māori people and the flag itself are &#8220;beautiful.&#8221;
&#8220;This post will be controversial for some,&#8221; the performer wrote. &#8220;At this point, breathing is controversial. I am getting many threats because people mistakenly believe I am flying Israeli flags in my show. I am not.&#8221;
&#8220;I have been using Poi flags since the beginning of this tour,&#8221; she continued. &#8220;These were used many, many years ago by the Māori people in New Zealand and because they and the Māori people are beautiful to me, we use them.&#8221;
&#8220;I do not fly flags in my show in support of anything or anyone except the rainbow flag,&#8221; Pink said. &#8220;That will remain my position.&#8221;

Pink has thus far stayed neutral on the current Israel-Hamas situation, though some celebrities have chosen to <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/lebron-james-hundreds-of-top-celebrities-side-with-israel-after-terror-attacks" target="_blank" rel="noopener">condemn terror group Hamas</a> and stand with Israel. The terror group has killed more than 1,300 people after invading Israel last Saturday, slaughtering Israeli families and hundreds of young people attending a music festival. Moreover, Hamas has reportedly taken hundreds of Israeli hostages, including children.
In a music video for &#8220;Irrelevant,&#8221; released last year, Pink seemingly connected conservative Supreme Court justices to Nazis. The video includes footage of the conservative justices being sworn in before cutting to images of Adolf Hitler, Nazi Germany, and the Ku Klux Klan. The video also shows images of pro-abortion marches and racial demonstrations, and includes references to George Floyd and school shootings.
“Sticks and stones and all that s***/Does Jesus love the ignorant?/I like to think he’d gladly take us all,” the song lyrics go, before referencing abortion: “Girls just wanna have rights/So, why do we have to fight.&#8221;
And as Pink sings the lyrics, “I’ll be a heretic / you f***ing hypocrite,&#8221; images of Rudy Giuliani, former President Donald Trump, and other political figures appear.

Singer <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/pink" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Pink</a> had a fan forcibly removed from a <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/music" target="_blank" rel="noopener">concert</a> she put on in San Antonio when he began loudly protesting circumcision.
The incident was documented by another fan, who posted the interaction on <a href="https://www.tiktok.com/@3btreasuresco/video/7282991874502135082" target="_blank" rel="noopener">TikTok</a>. The singer had begun the acoustic portion of her set when she noticed a message being displayed on a man’s cell phone near the front row.
“Oh wow, you’re making a whole point right now, aren’t you?” Pink said after reading it. “Do you feel good about yourself?”
The man responded by chanting the word, “Yes,” repeatedly.
“Are you gonna be all right?” the “So What” singer said. “You spent all this money to come here and do that?” 
“I’m gonna have to buy a Birkin bag with that ticket money. Get that s*** out of here,” Pink added as security came over to the man and began escorting him out.
The man turned to the crowd and showed them his phone which said, “Circumcision is cruel and harmful.”
“He wants all of you to read it,” Pink said as the concert attendee got dragged away. “He came here tonight to talk about circumcision. I feel bad that he wasted his time tonight,” she added.
The singer and activist was at the center of a controversy about circumcision in 2019. At the time, she posted a photo to Instagram of her two children which showed her two-year-old son Jameson nude from the waist down. Pink claimed she “didn’t even notice” his genitals were exposed.

The mom of two deleted the photo and reposted a different version of it after getting a flurry of criticism about the fact that her son was circumcised.
“There’s something seriously wrong with a lot of you out there. Going off about my baby’s penis? About circumcision??? Are you for real? As any normal mother at the beach, I didn’t even notice he took off his swim diaper,” she <a href="https://www.instagram.com/p/BvrhONxhEni/">wrote</a> at the time after posting a censored version of the original photo.
“I deleted it because you’re all f***ing disgusting. And now I’m turning off my comments and shaking my head at the state of social media and keyboard warriors … And the negativity that you bring to other people’s lives. There is something seriously wrong with a lot of you out there. Smfh.”

A New York woman went into <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/pregnant">labor</a> at a <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/pink">Pink</a> concert and then walked herself to the hospital to give birth. 
Angela Mercer, an Albany resident, was 31 weeks pregnant when she attended the show at Fenway Park in Boston, according to a <a href="https://www.facebook.com/BrighamandWomensHospital/posts/pfbid02GZvs78hKvJjY4XKfVbppgTyUmfWS6gSgzoWvsrdDtE9qGB8HypfyLYL1s2Ywehifl">statement</a> from Brigham &amp; Women’s Hospital. The statement noted how “things didn’t quite go to plan.”
“At only 31 weeks pregnant, Angela hadn’t been expecting her son’s arrival quite yet, but she started having contractions shortly after arriving for the show. She called her doctor, who advised her to get to a hospital,” the statement went on.
“With all the traffic surrounding Fenway for the concert, Angela had trouble finding a ride to the hospital. She and her family decided the fastest way to get to Brigham and Women’s was to walk &#8211; and so, decked out in their concert outfits, they made the trek to our hospital where Angela later delivered her son in the Brigham’s NICU.” 
Mercer also addressed the incident, saying, &#8220;My husband Ace and I are so incredibly grateful to the exceptional team at Brigham and Women&#8217;s Hospital! The medical, case management, and social work staff guided us confidently with their knowledge and expertise, all while being personable, empathetic, and engaging. We are sincerely appreciative.”

The statement further referred to the newborn boy as Pink’s “newest, youngest” fan.
“Baby Aycen was born right on his grandma Barbara’s birthday, and while the family didn’t get to enjoy the concert, they say they received the greatest gift of all – a healthy baby boy,” the statement concluded.

Harry Styles is the latest star to be hit with an object while performing on stage in a disturbing trend.
A concertgoer threw something at the 29-year-old pop singer during a show in Vienna on Saturday, <a href="https://www.cnn.com/2023/07/09/entertainment/harry-styles-hit-eye-stage/index.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">CNN</a> reported.
In video that circulated online, the &#8220;What Makes You Beautiful&#8221; hitmaker is seen turning to exit the stage when he is hit in the face with an unknown object.

Styles has yet to share anything on social media about the incident.

She captioned the post, &#8220;I&#8217;m good.&#8221;

The incident took place during Pink&#8217;s set at the British Summer Time festival in Hyde Park, London, over the weekend. She was in the middle of a performance of her hit song &#8220;Just Like a Pill&#8221; when a fan threw the bag onto the stage in front of her.

Pink walked over to where the bag landed and held it up for a closer look, at which point she turned to address the fan who had thrown it: &#8220;Is this your mom?&#8221;
After she apparently got a positive response to the question, the singer stood up and walked to the edge of the stage, where she set the bag down. &#8220;I don’t know how I feel about this,&#8221; she said, before carrying on with her performance.
According to a <a href="https://pagesix.com/2023/06/27/pink-stunned-by-fan-throwing-mothers-ashes-onstage-during-show/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">report</a> published by Page Six on Tuesday, the woman who had thrown the ashes had done so because her mother had not been able to travel or get out much when she was alive — and now that she has passed, her daughter has made a habit of taking her to places she might have enjoyed.
