<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">“I remember Phil’s many prayers on Memorial Day and all the times with my dad. I don’t have enough words to tell of all of it, perhaps it will take months or years of remembering,” the post began.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">“Looking back at pics I noticed he was always looking at me funny, prolly trying to figure out, ‘How did this boy turn out like this?’ I remember in 8th grade bringing my boombox in the living room and doing a break dance routine for him as he sat on his recliner. He just looked strangely at me and said, ‘Well, I’ve never seen anything quite like that!’ I took it as a compliment,” the post continued.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Willie next recalled dancing again in front of his dad “at he very end of his life” saying, “Maybe I figured it was the last thing he would think I would do, so I just did it.”</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The “Duck Dynasty” alum next reflected on his father’s faith and legacy.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">“He taught me many things in life and most without ever saying a word. I watched him, and knew he had figured out so many things. Most importantly, he taught me the value of sharing my faith with others. He was the Real Deal, the same on Sundays as Fridays. Most of our conversations were not about hunting or business, but about sharing the Gospel,” the Instagram post continued.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">“The last words he said to me as I leaned down over his weakened body was ‘You’re my brother.’ It made total sense to me. He always told me we were coworkers in the Kingdom of God. Maybe that’s why I always just called him Phil. Not sure if he is up in Heaven now doing his own dance moves for our Father,” Willie wrote.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">He concluded with words of thanks for his late father. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The reality star wrote, “Thank you for raising me the right way and teaching me the most important lesson to prepare me for the day you passed on. Not sure how people deal with loss without the Lord. We may be wrong about all this….but I doubt it! Sleep well Dad, can’t wait to see you.”</span></p>

<p>Phil Robertson, whose company and family became the center of the popular A&amp;E television series &#8220;Duck Dynasty,&#8221; died just months after receiving an Alzheimer&#8217;s diagnosis, his family said on Sunday. Robertson was 79.</p>
<p>In a social media <a href="https://www.instagram.com/p/DKGJwF3yWMl/?hl=en" target="_blank" rel="noopener">post</a>, the Robertson family said their &#8220;father, husband, and grandfather, Phil Robertson, is now with the Lord.&#8221; An avid outdoorsman, Robertson invented his first duck call in 1972, which was patented, and he started his company the next year. Decades later — under the leadership of his son, Willie — Duck Commander became a multi-million-dollar business and was featured in the show &#8220;Duck Dynasty,&#8221; which aired for 11 seasons between 2012 and 2017 and became one of the <a href="https://www.forbes.com/sites/maryroeloffs/2025/01/22/duck-dynasty-reboot-launches-this-summer-starring-original-cast-next-generation-of-robertson-family/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">most-watched</a> reality shows on TV.</p>
<p>Robertson is survived by his wife, Kay, his sons Alan, Jase, Jep, and Willie, and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.</p>
<p>Robertson&#8217;s condition seemed to worsen in recent months, according to his son, Jase, who <a href="https://people.com/phil-robertson-dead-duck-dynasty-star-was-79-11741649" target="_blank" rel="noopener">said</a> in December that the Alzheimer&#8217;s &#8220;accelerated, and it&#8217;s causing problems with his entire body,&#8221; adding, &#8220;He&#8217;s just not doing well. He&#8217;s really struggling.&#8221;</p>
<p>On the show and in his life, Robertson often spoke about his Christian faith and how God guided him out of poverty and gave him a successful business and loving family.</p>
<p>&#8220;He reminded us so often of the words of Paul, &#8216;you do not grieve like those who have no hope. For we believe that Jesus died and rose again, and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him,&#8221; the Robertson family wrote. &#8220;Thank you for the love and prayers of so many whose lives have been impacted by his life saved by grace, his bold faith, and by his desire to tell everyone who would listen the Good News of Jesus. We are grateful for his life on earth and will continue the legacy of love for God and love for others until we see him again.&#8221;</p>
<p>Robertson grew up with six siblings in a poor Louisiana family, and from an early age, hunting became an important part of his life. In high school, Robertson excelled in multiple sports and earned a scholarship to play quarterback at Louisiana Tech University. He <a href="https://www.cbssports.com/college-football/news/phil-robertson-duck-dynasty-star-and-former-louisiana-tech-qb-dies-at-79/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">played</a> two seasons in 1966 and 1967, winning the starting quarterback role ahead of the legendary Terry Bradshaw, who went on to be selected No. 1 overall in the NFL draft and won four Super Bowls with the Pittsburgh Steelers. Robertson didn&#8217;t come back to play in the 1968 season, instead choosing to pursue his passion for hunting.</p>
<p>&#8220;Terry went for the bucks, and I chased after the ducks,&#8221; Robertson <a href="https://duckcommander.com/pages/phil-robertson?srsltid=AfmBOoq5ZDMZorUOAucxejxsookh7rZCgaEdXp538od_9hI6Kv0YGxHc" target="_blank" rel="noopener">said</a>.</p>
<p>Robertson married Marsha Kay Carroway in 1966, and the couple had four children together, including other &#8220;Duck Dynasty&#8221; stars Jase, Willie, and Jep. The two remained married until Robertson&#8217;s death.</p>
<p>Robertson also spoke out about his conservative political views and was a supporter of President Donald Trump, appearing on stage alongside the president at a rally in West Monroe, Louisiana, in 2019. Jase <a href="https://x.com/conservmillen/status/1926807932336763291" target="_blank" rel="noopener">told</a> conservative podcast host Allie Beth Stuckey in February that Robertson shared the message of Jesus personally with Trump during the 2016 campaign, a message that the president remembered nearly four years later.</p>

‘Duck Dynasty’ Brothers Headed Back To TV With ‘Duck Family Treasure’

<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Phil Robertson, the patriarch behind the beloved television show &#8220;Duck Dynasty,&#8221; an A&amp;E reality show about his Louisiana family, their Christian life, and their duck hunting business, recently sat down with The Daily Wire&#8217;s &#8220;Morning Wire&#8221; podcast to <a href="https://www.amazon.com/Uncanceled-Finding-Meaning-Accusations-Condemnation/dp/1400230179">discuss his newest book</a> — &#8220;Uncanceled: Finding Meaning and Peace in a Culture of Accusations, Shame, and Condemnation.&#8221; &#8220;Uncanceled&#8221; was published in February, but Robertson told the Morning Wire that the inspiration behind his book started much earlier than that after he was canceled from the Duck Dynasty TV show for expressing his Christian belief that marriage is between a man and a woman.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Robertson told the Morning Wire that Christians should not be surprised if they are hated by popular culture because it comes with the territory in following Jesus Christ. Yet by spreading the message of the gospel and introducing others to Savior of the World, Christians can also help reorient America back toward respectful conversations with one another and create a culture of peace and forgiveness — something he hopes &#8220;Uncanceled&#8221; can help bring about. He also emphasized that he does not hate anybody. He loves everybody and wants them to know and love Jesus, too. </span></p>

<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">While reading Scripture, he came across a letter from Paul to Timothy that resonated with the current time America was living in, and what he experienced thanks to an unruly public lacking Christian principles.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">&#8220;&#8216;Mark this,&#8217; the apostle Paul wrote this to Timothy, a young preacher, so the apostle Paul, when he said, &#8216;Mark, this,&#8217; that means you better pay attention to this one. &#8216;There will be terrible times. In the last days, people will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive disobedient to their parents, ungrateful unholy,&#8217;  and — check this out — &#8216;without love and  unforgiving.'&#8221; Robertson told Morning Wire host  John Bickley. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">&#8220;Well, when I read that, I said, &#8216;Well, that&#8217;s what the people that are running around canceling everybody trying to ostracize them,'&#8221; he continued. &#8220;They&#8217;re trying to accuse them. They trying to shame them. They&#8217;re trying to condemn them. And they themselves are like all other humans.&#8221;</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">&#8220;We all have sins, all of us, but this bunch,&#8221; Robertson said of the Left, &#8220;they are unforgiving — meaning if one of our founders made a mistake, whatever, any kind of mistake they will not forgive for a second.&#8221;</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">&#8220;So, I just thought I needed to liven it up a little bit and show them that we love them,&#8221; he said as to why he wrote the book.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">&#8220;Everybody&#8217;s a sinner and we all make mistakes, but this bunch cuts us no slack,&#8221; Robertson added of those who partake in cancel culture. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Robertson affirmed it was his &#8220;duty&#8221; as a Christian to echo what the Bible says, which is another reason why we he wrote the book. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">When asked if the intended audience will hear the book, Robertson responded, &#8220;I don&#8217;t know what they will, how they will respond to this. I just thought it was needed.&#8221;</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Robertson also told the Morning Wire that at age 28, he heard for the first time that Christ loves all and forgives all sins for those who ask for repentance. When he heard that message, he said, &#8220;I think I&#8217;m on the wrong side of this thing,&#8221; and has been following Christ ever since.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">&#8220;These people come along,&#8221; Robertson said of his haters, &#8220;And they begin to persecute me and hate me for living a Godly life in Christ Jesus. And I love them.&#8221;</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">&#8220;And so does Jesus, and they&#8217;re sitting there condemning us, and not forgiving us like, like the Lord did,&#8221; he continued.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">&#8220;So the weight of their behavior, — trust me —when I tell you is going to come up them, and it&#8217;s not going to be a pretty picture,&#8221; he added, &#8220;So I&#8217;m hoping that they&#8217;ll embrace Jesus and that they will love God.”</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">“All Jesus said we need to do at the end of the day is love God and love our neighbor,” he remarked. &#8220;You just think about it, it&#8217;s simple, but that is very profound, my man.&#8221;</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">At age 75, Robertson also recently started a podcast, despite never owning a cell phone and having little experience with computers. But, he realized it would allow him to spread the Word of God to millions of people. </span></p>

<p>&#8220;Duck Dynasty&#8221; patriarch Phil Robertson joined the chorus of Americans, both Left and Right, skewering the newest COVID-19 stimulus package passed by Congress.</p>
<p class="speakable">In a lengthy <a href="http://www.instagram.com/p/CJFVsrAlUw2/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Instagram post</a>  after Congress passed the gargantuan $900 billion bill that provides Americans with about $600 depending on a number of factors, Robertson fired off on politicians that made people&#8217;s lives miserable while doing nothing to fix the situation.</p>
<p class="speakable">&#8220;Politicians put people out of work, killed small businesses, and said it was to protect us. And now Congress wants to send Americans $600 for their troubles?&#8221; Robertson began.  &#8220;Seems like it&#8217;s the heavy boot of big government we need protection from. We&#8217;ve had just about enough of passing the bill to find out what&#8217;s in it.&#8221;</p>
<p class="speakable">Robertson then argued that Americans need to stop looking to the government for help and looking to each other.</p>
<p>&#8220;Here&#8217;s what I know after more than 7 decades on this earth: One kingdom-minded redneck can help a down-and-out redneck better than the government ever could,&#8221; he said. &#8220;If we turn that responsibility over to the government and let ungodly legislators determine how to help us and how to spend our money, there&#8217;s no doubt our money will be used for ungodly ends.&#8221;</p>
<p>&#8220;I&#8217;ll never put my faith in a pork-filled bill so heavy it has to be wheeled around. I&#8217;m going with Jesus Politics instead,&#8221; he continued. &#8220;It&#8217;s time to fight for the right to decide how to use our money to care for the poor, minister to the needy, and advance the message of Jesus. That&#8217;s exactly what Jesus asks of us, and it&#8217;s what my book Jesus Politics is all about.&#8221;</p>
<p class="speakable">To those who would say that &#8220;Jesus Politics&#8221; simply uses Christ for power and influence, Robertson said that it&#8217;s exactly the opposite.</p>
<p>&#8220;Jesus Politics isn&#8217;t a book for Election Day. It&#8217;s a book about what we can do EVERY day to love God, love our neighbor, and do what&#8217;s right — no matter who&#8217;s running the government,&#8221; he said. &#8220;There&#8217;s still time to get Jesus Politics from Amazon before Christmas, and we&#8217;re going to need every citizen of the kingdom working together in 2021.&#8221;</p>

Why not give it out all the time? Why stop at $600 a person? Why not $1,000? Why not $2,000?&#8221;</p>
<p>“Maybe these new free money Republicans should join the ‘everybody gets a guaranteed income’ caucus? Why not $20,000 a year for everybody, why not $30,000? If we can print out money with impunity, why not do it?” he asked.</p>

<p><em>Duck Dynasty</em> patriarch Phil Robertson will return to the airwaves this fall in a new Internet-only show for CRTV, the conservative online television network that boasts the likes of Michelle Malkin and Steven Crowder.</p>
<p>The Robertson family reality show called it quits last year after more than ten seasons, where Americans followed Phil and his brood&#8217;s exploits, navigating the duck call business, handling family drama, and often cooking delicious food for huge numbers of people (no joke, Miss Kay&#8217;s food is really the best).</p>
<p>But like some of his family members &#8212; including granddaughter Sadie Robertson &#8212; Phil never intended his career in political and social commentary to end with his reality television sitcom. So he&#8217;ll begin production on <em>In The Woods With Phil</em>, a show that puts his beliefs front and center &#8212; and will bypass the rules of political correctness.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/phil-robertson-star-new-show-will-reject-political-correctness-1047866">In a promotional clip provided to the <em>Hollywood Reporter</em></a>, Phil addresses the temporary suspension he received from A&amp;E after suggesting to <em>GQ </em>that the Bible might frown on sexual impropriety (though that&#8217;s kind of a watered-down version of his <em>actual</em> quote, which likened homosexual sex to bestiality).</p>
<p>&#8220;What does a man do when they try to run him out of town for quoting a Bible verse?&#8221; Robertson asks in the clip. &#8220;I tell you what he does; he goes deep in the woods.&#8221;</p>
<p>That&#8217;s just the tip of the iceberg. Robertson definitely wants to be controversial, and told reporters that he&#8217;s going to talk about what he calls hard truths; you tune in, you&#8217;ll hear it straight.</p>
<p>&#8220;For far too long we have been told to shut up. No more. Here&#8217;s the deal, America. These are my woods. Out here, I call the shots. Out here, we reject political correctness, or as I like to say, &#8216;pontificated crap,'&#8221; he said.</p>
<p>&#8220;Most media are ashamed of America, its values, and just has an aversion to plain old common sense,&#8221; <a href="http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/phil-robertson-star-new-show-will-reject-political-correctness-1047866">Robertson continued</a>. &#8220;What did I hear today? That a girl can now be a Boy Scout? The name is &#8216;Boy Scout.&#8217; How hard is that to understand? ‘Duck Dynasty’s’ Phil Robertson Will Return To TV With A Show ‘Rejecting Political Correctness’

<p>Activist left-wing magazine <em>Rolling Stone </em>has chosen &#8220;Duck Dynasty,&#8221; a reality television show popular among a majority conservative audience, as the &#8220;worst show of all time.&#8221;</p>
<p><em>Rolling Stone</em>&#8217;s elitist media critic Rob Sheffield didn&#8217;t pull any punches in demonizing the right-leaning Robertson family. </p>
<p>&#8220;Congratulations, Robertson family &#8211; you are officially the worst anything ever!&#8221; <a href="http://www.rollingstone.com/tv/news/12-worst-tv-shows-of-all-time-w441775">begins</a> Sheffield, before plunging into a profanity-laced rant that supposedly passes as &#8220;criticism.&#8221; Sheffield continues:</p>

<p>A dipshit sitcom passed off as a reality show, with a bunch of bearded phonies stumbling over their scripted banter &#8211; like The Beverly Hillbillies with less believable facial hair. The Robertsons talked about Jesus a lot, but Jesus probably prefers Real Housewives like the rest of us.</p>

<p>The political is personal here as Sheffield&#8217;s criticism drips with disdain for the unassuming (and massively successful) A&amp;E television show. </p>
<p>From patriarch Phil Robertson&#8217;s plea at the Western Conservative Summit to incorporate Christ into political discourse to the show&#8217;s celebration of social conservatism and traditional family values, &#8220;Duck Dynasty&#8221; is a show that appeals to Middle America, social conservatives and what coastal elites like to call &#8220;fly-over country.&#8221; </p>
<p>As a result, the show has a target on its back. It&#8217;s unfathomable for the Left that a show that doesn&#8217;t go out of its way to advertise &#8220;progressive&#8221; values can be successful and draw a loyal audience.</p>
<p>In fact, it&#8217;s precisely the show&#8217;s anomalous nature &#8212; an unapologetically conservative show in a media landscape of Hollywood liberal propaganda &#8212; that provokes the most ire and disdain among the likes of Sheffield and other self-appointed gatekeepers of &#8220;good television.&#8221; After the magazine&#8217;s <a href="https://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/erik-wemple/wp/2014/12/11/the-full-demise-of-rolling-stones-rape-story/?utm_term=.e19d73c5903e">faux campus rape story humiliation</a>, instead of trying to figure out what does or doesn&#8217;t constitute good TV, perhaps <em>Rolling Stone</em> would be better served focusing its energy on figuring out what good journalism looks like. Leave reality TV to the experts, like the Robertsons. </p>

Rolling Stone Chooses ‘Duck Dynasty’ As ‘Worst TV Show Of All Time’

<p>Duck Dynasty&#8217;s Phil Robertson once again defied political correctness, enraged the left, and made headlines this weekend in a speech at the <a href="http://www.ccu.edu/centennial/western-conservative-summit/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Western</a><a href="http://www.ccu.edu/centennial/western-conservative-summit/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer"> Conservative Summit</a>, an annual conservative event held in Colorado that featured the likes of Donald Trump, Carly Fiorina, Sarah Palin, and the Daily Wire&#8217;s own <a href="http://www.dailywire.com/node/7155">Ben Shapiro</a>. </p>
<p>Among Robertson&#8217;s topics was the &#8220;transgender bathroom&#8221; movement, which he made more than clear he wasn&#8217;t getting behind. </p>
<p>&#8220;Now there&#8217;s grown men barging in on you ladies when you&#8217;re putting your Maybelline on,&#8221; said Robertson. </p>
<p>&#8220;Here&#8217;s a newsflash, you see this,&#8221; he said, gesturing to his trademark beard. &#8220;This be male.&#8221;</p>
<p>&#8220;All you ladies, you will never ever catch this cat coming up in your bathroom,&#8221; he continued. </p>
<p>The audience loved it.</p>
<p>This isn&#8217;t the first time Robertson has weighed in on the bathroom and &#8220;gender identity&#8221; debate. In May, he offered a &#8220;radical idea&#8221; on the issue, saying in a statement, &#8220;Men should use the men&#8217;s bathroom and women should use the women&#8217;s bathroom. Just because a man may &#8216;feel&#8217; like a woman doesn&#8217;t mean he should be able to share a bathroom with my daughter, or yours. That used to be called common sense. Now it&#8217;s called bigoted.&#8221;</p>
<p>Prior to his comments on transgender bathrooms at the summit, Robertson knocked the Supreme Court&#8217;s 5-4 ruling making same-sex marriage a constitutionally protected right. </p>
<p>&#8220;When you allow men to determine what&#8217;s right and what&#8217;s wrong, you get decisions like the five judges who said, &#8216;I may not know we have 7,000 years of history of men marrying women &#8212; a male and a female. &#8216;For that reason, they&#8217;ll leave their father and mother and cleave to one another and become one flesh.&#8217; I know it&#8217;s been that way for 7,000 years, but we know best for what&#8217;s everybody,'&#8221; he <a href="http://www.theblaze.com/stories/2016/07/05/duck-dynasty-star-phil-robertson-makes-argument-for-the-existence-of-jesus-in-world-conservative-summit-speech/">said</a>.</p>
<p>Robertson also made a simple observation about the centrality of Jesus to Western history, which the <a href="http://www.huffingtonpost.com/entry/phil-robertson-proof-of-jesus_us_577b0250e4b09b4c43c0f4aa">liberal media </a>is going apoplectic over. </p>
<p>&#8220;If your calendar is dated of all the human beings who have ever walked on the Earth, and your calendar is dedicated and predicated to just one of them, evidently something rather large went down,&#8221; said the Duck Dynasty patriarch (a line that the <a href="http://www.nydailynews.com/news/politics/duck-dynasty-star-phil-robertson-offers-best-proof-jesus-article-1.2698636" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">NY Daily News</a> countered lamely by noting that many of the names of the months are based on the names of pagan gods). </p>

Duck Dynasty’s Phil Robertson Makes Headlines Again

<p>This week, <em>Duck Dynasty</em> patriarch Phil Robertson <a href="http://www.theblaze.com/stories/2016/05/09/duck-dynasty-patriarch-phil-robertson-shares-radical-idea-in-response-to-n-c-bathroom-law/">weighed in</a> on the transgender bathroom debate, and it&#8217;s safe to say his &#8220;radical&#8221; take will not go over well with pro-LGBT activists. </p>
<p>In a fundraising email for Citizens United, Robertson offered his opinion on the controversy-turned-<a href="http://www.dailywire.com/news/5563/feds-vs-states-great-transgender-bathroom-battle-hank-berrien">legal-battle</a> over <a href="http://www.dailywire.com/news/4641/5-things-you-need-know-about-north-carolinas-aaron-bandler">North Carolina&#8217;s bathroom bill</a> that blocks biological males from entering women&#8217;s restrooms and vice versa.  </p>
<p>&#8220;This is Phil Robertson from <em>Duck Commander </em>and I&#8217;ve got a radical idea,&#8221; wrote Robertson. &#8220;Men should use the men&#8217;s bathroom and women should use the women&#8217;s bathroom. Just because a man may &#8216;feel&#8217; like a woman doesn&#8217;t mean he should be able to share a bathroom with my daughter, or yours. That used to be called common sense. Now it&#8217;s called bigoted.&#8221;</p>
<p>The email links to Robertson&#8217;s pro-Citizens United donation site, <a href="http://www.standtallwithphil.org/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">StandTallWithPhil.org</a>, where he urges visitors to &#8220;stand tall for religious freedom&#8221; and push back against &#8220;the mob mentality of political correctness&#8221;:</p>

<p>The heated debate over North Carolina&#8217;s so-called &#8220;transgender bathroom bill took&#8221; a legal turn Monday after NC Gov. Pat McCrory filed a lawsuit against the Loretta Lynch&#8217;s Department of Justice for &#8220;<a href="http://www.dailywire.com/news/5563/feds-vs-states-great-transgender-bathroom-battle-hank-berrien">baseless and blatant overreach</a>&#8221; in attempting to coerce the state to comply with their wishes. The same day, Lynch announced a <a href="http://www.thedailybeast.com/cheats/2016/05/09/loretta-lynch-federal-action-against-north-carolina.html">lawsuit against the state</a> for what she says are &#8220;civil rights violations&#8221; which she compared to the Jim Crow era. </p>
<p>&#8220;This is not the first time that we have seen discriminatory responses to historic moments of progress for our nation,&#8221; said Lynch in a press conference Monday. &#8220;We saw it in the Jim Crow laws that followed the Emancipation Proclamation; we saw it in the fierce and widespread resistance to Brown v. Board of Education; and we saw it in the proliferation of state bans on same-sex unions that were intended to stifle any hope that gay and lesbian Americans might one day be afforded the right to marry.&#8221;</p>

‘Duck Dynasty’ Star Weighs In On Transgender Bathroom Debate

<p>Every few months Duck Dynasty&#8217;s Phil Robertson tweaks the media. His most recent statement to cause a little stir is a pre-race prayer before the Sprint Cup Series race in Texas Saturday in which the conservative Christian thanked God for &#8220;Bibles and guns&#8221; and prayed that He&#8217;d put a &#8220;Jesus man in the White House.&#8221;</p>
<p>Robertson&#8217;s participation in the event came in part because Duck Commander is the title sponsor of the race. (<a href="http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/nascar-from-the-marbles/texas-pre-race-prayer-asks-to-put-a--jesus-man--in-white-house-005656121.html">Yahoo</a> notes that NASCAR is the only major sport that still consistently holds a pre-event prayer.) As he&#8217;s known and loved for, Robertson didn&#8217;t worry too much about political correctness in his brief pre-race prayer, praising God for guns and &#8220;founding our nation,&#8221; asking for protection for the U.S. military, and praying for the election of a true &#8220;Jesus man&#8221; as the next president.</p>
<p>&#8220;Alright Texas, we got here via Bibles and guns,&#8221; said Robertson. &#8220;I&#8217;m fixing to pray to the one who made that possible. Father thank you for founding our nation. I pray father that we don&#8217;t forget who brought us. You. Our faith in the blood of Jesus and his resurrection. Help us father to get back to that. Help us dear God understand that the men and women on my right, the U.S. military. On my right and on my left. Our faith in you and the U.S. military is the reason we&#8217;re still here. I pray Father that we put a Jesus man in the White House. Help us do that and help us all to repent to do what&#8217;s right to love you more and to love each other. In the name of Jesus we pray. Amen.&#8221;</p>
<p>In January, Robertson <a href="http://www.dailywire.com/news/2595/duck-dynastys-phil-robertson-endorses-candidate-chase-stephens">endorsed Texas Sen. Ted Cruz</a>, a favorite among evangelicals (video below), but his son Willie Robertson quickly came out in support of Donald Trump. Soon after they both announced their competing endorsements, Phil and Willie <a href="http://insider.foxnews.com/2016/01/25/willie-and-phil-robertson-duck-dynasty-explains-support-donald-trump-and-ted-cruz-hannity">appeared on &#8220;Hannity&#8221;</a> to discuss their differing opinions.</p>
<p>&#8220;So I just looked at Cruz. He stood out in my mind as being a moral and religious man. I thought to myself, &#8216;Good enough for me,'&#8221; said Phil. &#8220;It&#8217;s about that simple on my part.&#8221;</p>
<p>As for his son endorsing Trump, Phil said, &#8220;It could have been worse. He could&#8217;ve said, &#8216;Dad, I&#8217;m going with Hillary Clinton or Bernie Sanders&#8217; &#8230; Then we would have had some worries.&#8221;</p>
<p>Willie said that he chose Trump because he believed he was the best candidate to really shake up the establishment.</p>
<p>Robertson was condemned by LGBT activists and briefly suspended from <em>Duck Dynasty</em> by AMC in 2013 after making remarks critical of homosexuality in an interview with GQ. He was also <a href="http://www.dailywire.com/news/2815/heres-how-phil-robertson-responded-when-he-learned-james-barrett">heavily criticized for comments</a> he made about his own experiences growing up in the pre-Civil Rights era South that some interpreted as racist.  </p>

<p>Duck Dynasty star and CEO of the family company, Duck Commander, Willie Robertson, came out in full support of Donald Trump for president on Thursday. The video above is Willie back in September being brought out on stage to pump the crowd at the Oklahoma City rally. </p>
<p>Speaking at the 2016 Outdoor Sportsman Awards in Las Vegas, Willie stumped for Trump, saying, &#8220;Mr. Trump is a real leader. He represents success and strength, two attributes our country needs. Like me, he is a successful businessman and family man and I endorse his candidacy for President of the United States.&#8221;</p>

<p>Trump responded the endorsement saying,&#8220;I am truly honored to receive Willie&#8217;s endorsement. He is a great person, has had tremendous success and a really terrific family. He believes in my message and knows that I am the only one who will Make America Great Again!&#8221;</p>
<p>This comes just one week after his father, and popular co-star of Duck Dynasty, Phil Robertson came out in support of the actual conservative candidate, Ted Cruz &#8230;</p>
