A California teacher, who had previously been labeled &#8220;Teacher of the Year&#8221; in San Diego County, sobbed in court as she admitted to sexually abusing two students, ages 11 and 12.
Jacqueline Ma, who formerly taught at Lincoln Acres Elementary School in National City, was arrested in spring 2023 after the mother of a 12-year-old boy alerted authorities about Ma’s explicit texts to her son.
She had initially faced up to 180 years in prison for her crimes but entered a plea agreement for lesser charges, a likely 30-year-to-life sentence.
Per the New York Post, Deputy District Attorney Drew Heart <a href="https://nypost.com/2025/02/07/us-news/teacher-of-the-year-jacqueline-ma-sobs-as-admits-abusing-students-ages-11-and-12/">said</a>, “This was very significant to us, not just because she won an award, but because of who she was in the community.”
Ma pleaded guilty to possessing illicit material of a minor, which authorities said resulted from her sending X-rated images to the students and urging them to reciprocate. Prosecutors noted that Ma repeatedly pressured the minors to send explicit photos of themselves, prompting the 12-year-old to state, “Sometimes I think you don’t understand that I am a kid still.”
Superior Court Judge Maryann D’Addezio presided over the preliminary hearing in 2023 and later described the evidence as “overwhelmingly clear that the defendant took advantage of two children.”
Prosecutors said one instance involved Ma removing her shirt in a private meeting with the 12-year-old victim inside a classroom. After her arrest, law enforcement also discovered a photograph of one of the boys in her wallet.

“We think this plea deal sends a message to the community, not just about sex offenses on children, but when you leverage a position of trust, when you leverage good faith with parents in the community and you do this to their children, there will be significant penalties to pay,” Heart said.
Ma’s sentencing is set for May 9.

A convicted pedophile and illegal migrant was released from a Connecticut prison last month after his sympathetic parole board mulled how to best help him avoid deportation.
The Trump administration, the parole board decided, would not be able to get its act together fast enough to deport the illegal migrant pedophile before his 30-day immigration detainer runs out. &#8220;They can&#8217;t elect a Speaker of the House,&#8221; one board member scoffed.
Guerino Magloire, 52, was <a href="http://www.ctinmateinfo.state.ct.us/detailsupv.asp?id_inmt_num=255393" target="_blank" rel="noopener">serving</a> five years in prison for felony second degree sexual assault against a child between 13 and 15 years old. He was convicted of sexually assaulting the child on March 11, 2020, just as pandemic lockdowns were starting, and he was sentenced in November the next year.
During his parole <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RluWJ6xkhQo" target="_blank" rel="noopener">hearing</a> on New Year&#8217;s Eve, Magloire said he cannot promise he will not offend again.
&#8220;I can&#8217;t say I promise that it&#8217;s not going to happen because that&#8217;s not always a thing, when you say, &#8216;Oh I promise,'&#8221; Magloire told the parole board. &#8220;No, I&#8217;m not going to say I promise, but I will definitely try to do my best, my best to keep myself away from situations like that again.&#8221;
Magloire scored as a moderate to high risk on an evaluation <a href="https://www.sog.unc.edu/sites/default/files/course_materials/3.0%20Static-99R-Coding-Form_0.pdf" target="_blank" rel="noopener">used</a> to predict whether a male sexual offender will reoffend.
Despite those red flags, the parole board released him that day from Carl Robinson Correctional Institution north of Hartford.

Magloire is in the country illegally. He came to the United States from Haiti in 1984 when he was 11 and currently has an immigration detainer, meaning Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) is ready to deport him as soon as he is released from prison.
His parole board lamented the situation. The board <a href="https://portal.ct.gov/bopp/bopp_front-_pages/common-elements/about-us/meet-the-parole-board" target="_blank" rel="noopener">included</a> two women, Rufaro <a href="https://www.linkedin.com/in/rufaro-berry-a1316b144/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Berry</a> and Deborah Smith-<a href="https://www.notredamehs.com/about/leadership?id=3750" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Palmieri</a>, and one man, Michael Pohl.
&#8220;Unfortunately the person who&#8217;s taking over our current administration, he&#8217;s going to make sure that people like yourself are deported back,&#8221; Berry told Magloire. &#8220;It&#8217;s unfortunate that I think that the moment that we say that you&#8217;re going to be granted, or if we grant your discretionary parole, the process will begin.&#8221;
&#8220;I want to be perfectly clear,&#8221; she told the convict. &#8220;If we grant your discretionary parole today, you&#8217;ll be transported to a halfway house where you&#8217;ll wait for ICE to pick you up, and you will be returned. You won&#8217;t reunite with your family. That&#8217;s not going to happen, sir.&#8221;
&#8220;Oh, so they&#8217;re going to take me right back?&#8221; Magloire asked.
&#8220;They&#8217;re going to take you right back in a matter of days,&#8221; Berry responded.
&#8220;So even though the country is in turmoil the way it is?&#8221; he said.
&#8220;That&#8217;s not our concern. That&#8217;s out of our control,&#8221; she said.
Magloire shook his head.
&#8220;Yeah,&#8221; Berry said.
Berry suggested Magloire might have a better chance of fighting his deportation detainer in prison than if he is &#8220;sent out of the country and trying to get back.&#8221;
However, another board member, Pohl pushed back with a different perspective.
&#8220;So my take on this is that we parole him today because they can&#8217;t elect a Speaker of the House — I don&#8217;t think the Trump administration is going to be in a position in the next 30 days, which is what they hold him, to deport him,&#8221; Pohl said.
Berry responded enthusiastically — &#8220;Really!&#8221; — when she learned the ICE detainer would last only 30 days rather than 90.
&#8220;I don&#8217;t want to make less of what happened in this offense,&#8221; Pohl added quickly.
&#8220;No, of course not,&#8221; Berry said.
The board took a brief recess to speak with the detainer supervisor and questioned Magloire about where he was in the process of fighting the deportation order.
In the end, all three parole board members agreed to release Magloire, deciding he would have the &#8220;best opportunity to dispute this immigration detainer if he is granted discretionary parole.&#8221;
Magloire sobbed and folded his hands, saying, &#8220;Thank you, I will not disappoint you again, I will not let this happen.&#8221;
&#8220;I cannot be in here no more,&#8221; he said.
Magloire was on the sex offender registry as far back as two decades ago. In 1998, he was convicted of injury or risk of injury to or impairing the morals of children.
That did not stop him from <a href="https://www.thehour.com/norwalk/article/Schools-sex-offender-was-never-custodian-8293006.php" target="_blank" rel="noopener">trying</a> to get a job as a custodian at an elementary school a few years later in 2007 and even showing up to the school, causing an uproar among parents.
Stamford police said they found evidence Magloire may have worked one day at Newfield Elementary School before his background checks were complete. The school district denied this, claiming Magloire showed up before he was hired.
Magloire&#8217;s current offense happened in the Waterbury area, where local police <a href="https://www.jud2.ct.gov/crdockets/CaseDetailDisp.aspx?source=Pending&amp;Key=bade4941-45e7-4a22-be1e-d39e8342de78" target="_blank" rel="noopener">arrested</a> him and the city&#8217;s courts convicted him after he pled guilty, according to the parole hearing docket and inmate information <a href="http://www.ctinmateinfo.state.ct.us/detailsupv.asp?id_inmt_num=255393" target="_blank" rel="noopener">from</a> the Connecticut Department of Correction.
He was originally denied parole in May of 2023.
At several points during Magloire&#8217;s recent parole hearing, board members appeared to appreciate the serious nature of the situation.
Both Berry and Pohl expressed concern with Magloire saying he cannot promise not to offend again.
Magloire told them, &#8220;I did say that I can&#8217;t promise not making a mistake.&#8221;
&#8220;For you to sit here and say that I can&#8217;t make that promise, while I respect your being honest, I really struggle with that statement because nobody else&#8217;s child deserves to suffer through this ever again,&#8221; Berry said.
When Magloire blamed his offense on drinking alcohol and &#8220;being around certain friends,&#8221; Berry pointed out that while alcohol might lower his inhibitions, &#8220;you already had those thoughts in your head about sexually offending.&#8221;
However, none of the board&#8217;s concerns were enough to deny his parole.
Smith-Palmieri noted that Magloire completed a sex offender program and &#8220;got all he could out of the program&#8221; despite some &#8220;intellectual deficiencies&#8221; that may have interfered.
&#8220;I feel so remorseful for the pain of the child that I made a mistake on,&#8221; Magloire said, asking the parole board to tell the child&#8217;s mother that &#8220;I apologize for that.&#8221;
&#8220;At the time I wasn&#8217;t thinking too well, clearly,&#8221; he said, but now he has a &#8220;clear mind not to do the wrong.&#8221;
At least one of the parole board members is open about his political leanings online.
Pohl is <a href="https://www.manchesterctdems.info/mike-pohl/?_sm_nck=1" target="_blank" rel="noopener">also</a> the chairman of the Manchester Democrats, and an X account that appears to belong to him <a href="https://x.com/mikepohl12?lang=de" target="_blank" rel="noopener">is a</a> hodgepodge of Democrat retweets, as well as a retweet of a post about Connecticut&#8217;s prison population being at a nearly two-decade low.
Pohl also apparently posted &#8220;Class&#8221; in response to Bill Clinton wishing Joe Biden a happy birthday and in another post, &#8220;Don&#8217;t ever let them forget what happened&#8221; on January 6, saying local Republican leaders remained silent.

A Democratic California lawmaker who supports a bill that would keep convicted pedophiles behind bars for longer excoriated her colleagues last week, saying she was &#8220;done&#8221; with her own party &#8220;protecting&#8221; those who abuse children.
State Senator Susan Eggman, 63, who represents an area just outside San Francisco, delivered a heated floor speech last Thursday.
&#8220;I&#8217;d like to say as a progressive, proud member of this body for the last 12 years, I&#8217;m done,&#8221; Eggman said. &#8220;I&#8217;m done with us protecting people who would buy and abuse our children. I&#8217;m done.&#8221;

&#8220;I don&#8217;t want to send more black and brown men to prison,&#8221; she continued. &#8220;I don&#8217;t want more people in prison. But I don&#8217;t want people buying girls. I don&#8217;t want people buying little girls anymore. And I&#8217;m tired of saying it&#8217;s okay and that we have to protect the men who do it.&#8221;
Eggman went on to say that as a mental health professional and as a social worker she has spent her &#8220;entire career working with people who have been wounded, I&#8217;m not going to say beyond repair, but they have been wounded to their core by the abuse that&#8217;s been heaped on them oftentimes by those that they love and look to protect them.&#8221;
&#8220;And if their parents won&#8217;t do it then by God we should,&#8221; she said.
Currently under California law, purchasing sex from a child is only a misdemeanor that carries a punishment of two days to a year in jail and a $10,000 fine.
The bipartisan <a href="https://leginfo.legislature.ca.gov/faces/billTextClient.xhtml?bill_id=202320240SB1414" target="_blank" rel="noopener">bill</a> Eggman supports would make buying child sex a felony punishable by at least two to four years in prison and a sex offender registration.
Last month, the bill moved forward, but not before Democrats made significant changes. The new version of the bill <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/california-bill-making-buying-child-sex-a-felony-moves-forward-after-dems-water-it-down" target="_blank" rel="noopener">would</a> only allow prosecutors to level felony charges if the minor was under 16, meaning those who attempted to buy sex with a 16-year-old or 17-year-old could still only be charged with a misdemeanor.
The bill’s author, Republican State Senator Shannon Grove, reacted with dismay to the “hostile amendments” to her bill, her voice <a href="https://www.kcra.com/article/california-sb-1414-passes-changes-made-groves/60515287" target="_blank" rel="noopener">shaking</a> as she responded.
“To force these amendments on me in front of survivors, to water this down to avoid 16 and 17-year-olds,” Grove said at the time.
Before the changes, Grove explained that she spoke to sex trafficking survivors last year who told her, “You’ve got to go after the buyers” in order to really crack down on the child sex trade.
“I want to make the solicitation, the person who’s going out there going, ‘Hey little 13-year-old, 14-year-old, 15-year-old.&#8217; I want to get that person. I want that person to face felony charges. That’s what the bill does,” Grove <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/california-bill-making-buying-child-sex-a-felony-moves-forward-after-dems-water-it-down">said</a> during a phone interview with The Daily Wire.
Last week, Eggman also said that her party has &#8220;got to move back into the center&#8221; on this issue &#8220;or we all look like fools and laughingstocks.&#8221;
&#8220;A lot of these kids can be throwaway kids. They’re poor kids, they’re kids of color, but they shouldn’t have to live a life determined by what happens to them by others at a very young age and have the Democratic Party of California say, &#8216;It’s okay,'&#8221; Eggman <a href="https://nypost.com/2024/05/30/us-news/democrat-california-senator-susan-eggman-blasts-party-over-pedophile-jail-sentence-fight/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">said</a>.

Normally, the confirmation process to anoint a new Secretary of Labor isn&#8217;t especially interesting. We certainly don&#8217;t learn anything new or scandalous most of the time. But in 2017, the confirmation process of Alexander Acosta was a very notable exception. At the time, the Trump administration was vetting Acosta, and they asked him whether anything in his past might pose a problem during his confirmation hearings.
That&#8217;s when Acosta <a href="https://www.thedailybeast.com/jeffrey-epsteins-sick-story-played-out-for-years-in-plain-sight" target="_blank" rel="noopener">told</a> Trump officials about his handling of the Jeffrey Epstein criminal case, back when he was the U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of Florida in 2007. Acosta recounted that he had agreed to give Jeffrey Epstein the mother of all sweetheart deals. He granted immunity not only to Epstein, but also to any potential co-conspirators, known or unknown. Acosta also hid the existence of this non-prosecution agreement from Epstein&#8217;s victims, in violation of the law. As a result of the deal, the federal investigation into Epstein was shut down. Epstein ultimately pleaded guilty to a state charge of procuring a girl for prostitution under the age of 18. He was out of prison in a few months.
All of that was known to the Trump team when they interviewed Acosta. These are the kind of facts that could have killed his nomination to be Secretary of Labor. But Acosta offered an explanation for his handling of the Epstein case. He told investigators for the Trump administration that he had been directed by U.S. intelligence agencies to let Epstein off the hook. He was told that Epstein, &#8220;belonged to intelligence,&#8221; that the matter was, &#8220;above his pay grade,&#8221; and that he needed to, &#8220;leave it alone.&#8221;
When this news broke a couple years later, following Epstein&#8217;s arrest, Acosta was asked about it. He refused to say it was false and he gave maybe the most equivocal answer he possibly could have given. This will go down in history as maybe one of the worst attempts to evade an answer that has ever occurred in a press briefing in Washington. Watch:

That&#8217;s an admission, obviously. There&#8217;s no other way to interpret what Acosta was doing there. He&#8217;s not a particularly good liar. That non-denial is confirmation that yes, Jeffrey Epstein was an intelligence asset. He was being used by the intelligence agencies, and therefore he couldn&#8217;t go to prison for amassing an army of child sex slaves.
And that&#8217;s not all the help Epstein and his associates received. On July 6 and 7 of 2019, shortly after Epstein was arrested on new sex assault charges, FBI agents <a href="https://web.archive.org/web/20220213053353/https://www.telegraph.co.uk/world-news/2021/12/07/evidence-jeffrey-epsteins-safe-went-missing-fbi-raid-court-hears/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">photographed</a> a variety of evidence in Epstein&#8217;s New York townhouse. They discovered binders with CDs and photographs lining the shelves. Inside a safe, which they opened with a saw, the agents found lewd photographs of children. They also discovered even more CDs that had handwritten labels on them, with the names of two individuals on some of the labels.
It&#8217;s not hard to conclude that this was probably blackmail material. According to the official story, agents simply photographed all of these items, but they didn&#8217;t take them, because they didn&#8217;t have a search warrant. Incredibly, the agents left the property to get a warrant, which somehow took four days to acquire. This by itself is ridiculous, since in a high-profile case like this, judges could obviously have approved a warrant almost immediately, while agents remained on-site. But in this case, the agents left the property, and they didn&#8217;t come back until four days later. And by that point, the materials they had photographed were all missing. 
Supposedly one of Epstein&#8217;s lawyers later brought the property to the FBI, but of course there&#8217;s no way of knowing if the CDs are the same ones that were removed from the safe. There&#8217;s no way of knowing how much evidence was tampered with.

Given this history, there was really no conceivable way we&#8217;re ever going to learn the truth about exactly what Jeffrey Epstein did, and who his associates were. But in 2017, the independent journalist Mike Cernovich did his best to get some answers anyway. He tried to force the government&#8217;s hand. He <a href="https://x.com/Cernovich/status/1742768924213854519?s=20" target="_blank" rel="noopener">filed</a> an intervening motion in an existing defamation case concerning Epstein. This motion, which went all the way up to federal appellate court in New York, demanded that the government release information it possessed about Epstein. And the courts ultimately agreed.
But just days before documents were set to come out, coincidentally enough, Epstein — and Epstein alone — was booked on the new sex assault charges by the federal government. That arrest delayed the release of the documents, pending the prosecution. Of course that prosecution never came because Epstein  “committed suicide.” The materials in his safe began to disappear. And outside of Ghislane Maxwell, Epstein&#8217;s associates evaded scrutiny. The legal documents containing the names of many Epstein associates, as well as transcripts of key witness depositions, remained redacted.
Last night, after many years of delays, we finally got a partially unredacted look at <a href="https://controligarchsbook.com/2024/01/03/epstein-docs/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">some of the documents</a> that Cernovich has been seeking for the better part of a decade. More documents are expected to be un-redacted in the coming days. This is just the first batch. But most of the materials we&#8217;re now allowed to see, as you&#8217;ve probably guessed, are not particularly shocking. We all knew, for example, that Bill Clinton had flown on Epstein&#8217;s private jet, and had been photographed with some of Epstein&#8217;s victims.
What&#8217;s new is unredacted testimony from Johanna Sjoberg, one of Epstein&#8217;s victims. She was asked, &#8220;Did Jeffrey ever talk to you about Bill Clinton?&#8221; In response, Sjoberg testified that, &#8220;He said one time that Clinton likes them young, referring to girls.&#8221;
It&#8217;s not clear whether that testimony refers to underage girls, nor is it particularly new information. Neither is the fact that, according to one witness, Michael Jackson once <a href="https://x.com/CensoredMen/status/1742711855296942296?s=20" target="_blank" rel="noopener">visited</a> Epstein at his home in Palm Beach. To be sure, there are more alarming accusations in these documents, although for the most part, they aren&#8217;t new. There&#8217;s the testimony from Epstein victim Virginia Giuffre that she was directed by Ghislaine Maxwell to have sex with Prince Andrew, for example, as well as hedge fund manager Glenn Dubin.
There are also renewed claims in these documents that Harvard Law professor Alan Dershowitz had sex with one of Epstein&#8217;s underage victims. Again, we&#8217;ve heard this before. Going down the list, the billionaire executive chairman of Hyatt Hotels, Thomas Pritzker, is also <a href="https://x.com/KanekoaTheGreat/status/1742711108597911581?s=20" target="_blank" rel="noopener">alleged</a> in these documents to have had sex with one of Epstein&#8217;s victims. Pritzker, incidentally, is related to Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker, as well as the Harvard board member Penny Pritzker, who played a key role in promoting Claudine Gay to the Harvard presidency. Just in case you thought this week somehow couldn&#8217;t get any worse for Harvard.
There are some mildly interesting tidbits, all the same. For example, the magician David Copperfield&#8217;s name appears in these documents, and according to Epstein accuser Johanna Sjoberg, Copperfield appeared to be aware that Epstein was recruiting underage girls. But there&#8217;s no evidence Copperfield himself engaged in any illegal activity. There&#8217;s also the <a href="https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-12924539/Jeffery-Epstein-documents-Ghislaine-Maxwell-deny-Stephen-Hawking-participated-underage-orgy.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">news</a> that Epstein wrote an email explicitly denying that Stephen Hawking had ever participated in an orgy at his island, which is a strange email to write. Regardless, this isn&#8217;t exactly groundbreaking stuff, nor does it provide much clarity.
And there are still many more questions than answers. If you go through the nearly-600-pages of documents that were released last night, you&#8217;ll still find a lot of very conspicuous redactions. On page 497, for example, you&#8217;ll find this question that was posed to Virginia Giuffre: &#8220;Ghislaine Maxwell told you to go give a massage to [Redacted], correct?&#8221; The name of the person is hidden.

Once again, there&#8217;s a name missing from the list in that question, and for some reason we&#8217;re still not allowed to know who that is. There could be good reasons for concealing the name. Maybe it&#8217;s an underage victim of Epstein&#8217;s. On the other hand, maybe it&#8217;s someone with a lot of power who&#8217;s still under the control of the intelligence agencies. We really have no idea. Whatever the case, there are a lot more redactions like this. You can download the documents and see for yourself. What this means is that, several years after Epstein&#8217;s death, we&#8217;re still left to fill in the blanks of court documents that were supposed to be made public before Epstein died. We&#8217;re not entitled to know anything more than we already knew and we&#8217;re definitely not allowed to know what exactly was on those blackmail CDs that disappeared from Epstein&#8217;s safe.

Most of what appears in the documents released yesterday leaves plenty of plausible deniability for those named. None of it amounts to actual proof of wrongdoing. It all raises more questions than it answers. But there is very good reason to believe that there exists out there somewhere — or did exist, at one point — actual physical direct proof that a bunch of powerful people raped children on Epstein’s island, or on one of his other properties. But that proof is not being released, and nobody has ever been arrested.
It’s a funny thing, isn’t it? Epstein was an international pimp and pedophile, but apparently he had no clients. That’s what we’re supposed to believe anyway. But we can’t believe that, because it’s nonsense. Which means that the truth — the real truth, the full truth — is still being kept secret from us.
Those are secrets, as Alexander Acosta said, that are above our pay grade. And they will remain above our pay grade — at least, until the people Epstein was blackmailing step out of line. Then we might see the names on those CDs. Then we might learn the identity of all the people named in those binders in his New York townhouse. Otherwise, the feds will continue to stonewall Cernovich and everyone else who&#8217;s been seeking the truth. That&#8217;s because, more than four years after Jeffrey Epstein&#8217;s death, he still belongs to intelligence.

The federal court documents containing the names of <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/theyd-have-to-cancel-the-election-mark-epstein-claims-brother-jeffrey-had-dirt-on-both-2016-candidates" target="_blank" rel="noopener">people who were associated</a> with the late convicted pedophile <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/accountability-is-coming-epstein-associates-to-be-named-after-judge-orders-documents-released" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Jeffrey Epstein</a> were set to be unsealed on Wednesday in New York, with a few key exceptions.
According to a <a href="https://www.cnbc.com/2024/01/03/jeffrey-epstein-court-document-names-unsealed-wednesday-.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">report</a> published that same day by CNBC, Judge Loretta Preska ordered the unsealing in December, but granted a 30-day extension to at least two individuals named in the filing — some who were underage at the time that Epstein abused them and one of whom is a woman who has thus far only been identified as Doe 107.
Doe 107, according to the network, has claimed that she would be at &#8220;risk of physical harm in her home country&#8221; if her identity were to ever be revealed — and the judge has not yet finished reviewing her claim.
The documents in question were filed by Virginia Giuffre, one of Epstein&#8217;s victims, pursuant to her lawsuit against the disgraced financier&#8217;s convicted accomplice <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/jeffrey-epsteins-ex-girlfriend-ghislaine-maxwell-sentenced-to-prison" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Ghislaine Maxwell</a> — whose sentence included two decades behind bars and a $750,000 fine — and are expected to name some 150 who were linked in some way to Epstein.
CNBC also noted that some of the people expected to be named as the documents are unsealed are already known to be Epstein&#8217;s associates — and that not everyone named in the documents has been accused of committing any crime or having knowledge of crimes committed by Epstein and others. The list is expected to include alleged perpetrators, alleged co-conspirators, and even potential victims.
Around 50 of Epstein&#8217;s associates&#8217; names have <a href="https://www.reuters.com/legal/names-jeffrey-epsteins-associates-set-be-released-2024-01-03/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">already been revealed</a> and include a number of powerful people in both money and politics. Among the most well-known are former Presidents Bill Clinton and Donald Trump — both of whom have denied participation in and knowledge of Epstein&#8217;s sex crimes.

A viral photo of a man identifying as a woman nursing a baby prompted swimmer-turned-activist <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/riley-gaines">Riley Gaines</a> to declare that such behavior was “normalizing pedophilia.”
The photo was posted by Mika Minio-Paluello, a former adviser to Great Britain’s Labour Party, who said he &#8220;only breastfed my child for a few weeks&#8221; before stopping due to cancer treatments. Gaines, a former All-American at University of Kentucky who has become outspoken about radical gender theory and protecting women and girls in sports, called it &#8220;sick.&#8221;
“For the longest time I refrained from posting on TikTok,” Gaines wrote. “But after what I saw today on Twitter, I will be blasting my opinions and my views on all of my social media platforms because this is sick and I think a true testament of where, as Americans, we are today.”
Gaines posted other photos of Minio-Paluello that show him using nipple clamps to satisfy a twisted sexual fetish.
“In the following photos you will see the same man who was breastfeeding the child actively using nipple clamps to fulfill his sexual fetish,&#8221; wrote Gaines, citing an Instagram caption in which he wondered how hard the viewer could tug on the clamps.
“So I guess what I’m wondering is, how can any sane human being see this man posing with this child, obviously sucking on his nipple, now seeing what he engages in privately, and not see this baby as an erotic prop for this man with a sick fetish?” Gaines asked.
“It is sexual abuse of a child, bottom line and all of this to say that in America we are normalizing pedophilia,” she charged. “Let me repeat that: we are normalizing pedophilia. We are normalizing this behavior in the guise of human rights but sexual abuse is not a human right for anyone. I hate to even be spreading this message but I think people need to see it.
“It’s up to us to stand up against evil which is exactly what this is,” she declared. “This is a battle of moral versus evil. The smirk on this man’s face says it all.”

A 35-year-old Washington woman allegedly told authorities she <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/transgender" target="_blank" rel="noopener">identifies</a> as a 15-year-old boy after she was arrested for harboring runaway teens and accused of providing them with drugs and alcohol and sexting them.
Amanda Dorrough was charged with unlawful harboring of minors earlier this month after police said they discovered Dorrough planned to flee Seattle with a group of teenagers, Fox News <a href="https://www.foxnews.com/us/grown-woman-who-identifies-as-15-year-old-boy-faces-wild-claims-of-drugs-sexting-with-teen-runaways-police">reported</a>. The adult woman was arrested on May 4 after the vice principal at Port Angeles High School, northwest of Seattle, reportedly contacted police after two students revealed their plan to run away with Dorrough, who went by the nickname “Taz” with the group of teens.
Dorrough, who the Daily Mail <a href="https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-12124585/Woman-35-arrested-harboring-runaway-children.html">reports</a> is a mother of three children, allegedly told Clallam County Jail staff that she identifies as a 15-year-old boy.
“She feels like teenagers ‘understand’ her better&#8221; and that &#8220;she ‘identifies’ better with teenage kids,” the report said.
Police found Dorrough in a gully with a boy amid a heap of blankets, &#8220;two empty condom packets, one unopened condom, a bra, and an empty cigarette packet with a lighter,&#8221; according to the police report. At least 10 different incident reports received by police allegedly involved Borrough and her relationship with minors.

Neighbors reportedly called the police after witnessing minors enter and leave Dorrough’s apartment regularly. One neighbor also said the adult woman was seen topless in the hallway with a boy who appeared to be around 13 years old, <a href="https://www.foxnews.com/us/grown-woman-who-identifies-as-15-year-old-boy-faces-wild-claims-of-drugs-sexting-with-teen-runaways-police">according</a> to the report. Police also said that Dorrough was kicked out of a Boys and Girls Club over “perceived ‘predatory’ behavior.&#8221;
When police arrived at the woman’s apartment on May 2, two days before her arrest, they spotted three teenagers running through the parking lot away from Dorrough’s apartment. One officer reportedly heard movement inside Dorrough’s apartment, but police were unable to talk to anyone inside.

The police report — which was first <a href="https://mynorthwest.com/3889164/rantz-pedophile-ish-adult-woman-identifies-15-year-old-boy-per-police-report/">reported</a> by radio host Jason Rantz — alleges that the adult woman got naked in front of minors, touched one inappropriately, and gave them marijuana. One of Dorrough’s alleged victims reportedly told authorities that the 35-year-old woman was “pedophile-ish.” When one of the minors told Dorrough he wasn’t interested in her, she <a href="https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-12124585/Woman-35-arrested-harboring-runaway-children.html">allegedly</a> got upset and said she would kill herself.
Dorrough was not charged with any sexual offenses and was released on bond on May 14, just 10 days after her arrest.

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis signed a new package of crime bills into law on Monday, all of which are designed to keep criminals out of the streets.
The <a href="https://www.flgov.com/2023/05/01/governor-ron-desantis-signs-third-consecutive-anti-crime-pro-public-safety-legislative-package/">three bills</a> target bail reforms being pushed by leftist prosecutors, increases penalties on fentanyl traffickers, and makes those who commit certain crimes against children eligible for the death penalty.
“Florida is a law-and-order state with a 50-year record low crime rate and double-digit year-over-year decreases in murder, burglary, and overall crime,” DeSantis said in a statement. “For three consecutive legislative sessions we have enacted tough-on-crime policies, and this year we are continuing to implement measures to protect our communities and keep Florida safe, with a particular emphasis on keeping criminals in jail and throwing the book at pedophiles.”
House Bill 1627 addresses “bail reforms” through a variety of actions, including requiring the Florida Supreme Court to develop a uniform statewide bond schedule by the end of the year.
The bill prohibits judges from setting a lower bond amount than the uniform state bond, prohibits a defendant from being released prior to their first appearance in court if they have been arrested for a violent or heinous crime, and adds a series of crimes to the state&#8217;s list of &#8220;dangerous crimes.&#8221;
House Bill 1359 increases criminal penalties on those who traffic &#8220;rainbow fentanyl&#8221; by making those who traffic such substances eligible for a life sentence and imposing a minimum 25 year sentence and a $1 million penalty and making it a first-degree felony to possess, sell, or manufacture fentanyl and other controlled substances that resemble candy.
DeSantis also signed House Bill 1297 into law which imposes the death penalty on pedophiles who &#8220;commit sexual battery against children under the age of 12,&#8221; the governor&#8217;s office said.
The governor said that he is prepared to take the fight all the way to the U.S. Supreme Court &#8220;to overrule judicial precedents which have unjustly shielded child rapists from the death penalty and denied victims and their loved ones the opportunity to pursue ultimate justice against these most heinous criminals.&#8221;
Last month, DeSantis <a href="https://www.cnn.com/2023/04/20/politics/death-penalty-ron-desantis-florida-parkland-shooting/index.html">signed</a> a bill into law that drops the requirement for a death sentence to be handed out to a convicted criminal from a unanimous vote for jurors to only 8 out of 12 jurors.

DeSantis Signs New ‘Law-And-Order’ Bills That Allows The Death Penalty For Pedophiles

<a href="http://dailywire.com/topic/minnesota" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Minnesota</a> lawmakers explicitly excluded <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/pedophilia" target="_blank" rel="noopener">pedophiles</a> from the state’s <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/civil-rights" target="_blank" rel="noopener">human rights</a> statutes after one of their colleagues suggested loosening language that exempted adults attracted to children from enjoying legal protections under the law.
Minnesota State Rep. Leigh Finke, a member of the Democratic-Farmer-Labor Party and the first self-identified <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/transgender" target="_blank" rel="noopener">transgender</a> in the Minnesota Legislature, introduced an <a href="https://www.billtrack50.com/legislatordetail/27553" target="_blank" rel="noopener">amendment</a> in his Take Pride Act that would have altered the <a href="https://www.revisor.mn.gov/bills/text.php?number=HF1655&amp;version=0&amp;session=ls93&amp;session_year=2023&amp;session_number=0" target="_blank" rel="noopener">definition</a> of “sexual orientation” in the Minnesota Human Rights Act such that a provision clarifying that the term “does not include a physical or sexual attachment to children by an adult” would have been omitted. The move, in other words, would have allowed adults who claim attraction to children as part of their “sexual orientation” to be protected from discrimination under the law.
After the proposed amendment made national headlines, however, the Minnesota House unanimously <a href="https://www.house.mn.gov/cco/journals/2023-24/J0426057.htm#7103" target="_blank" rel="noopener">voted</a> on Wednesday to amend the Minnesota Human Rights Act in order to explicitly clarify that “the physical or sexual attachment to children by an adult is not a protected class” under the law. Minnesota State Rep. Harry Niska, a member of the Republican Party who introduced the clarification, <a href="https://twitter.com/HarryNiska/status/1651397025995399171" target="_blank" rel="noopener">said</a> the unanimous vote was a “glimmer of common sense.”
Finke, a biological male who claims to be a woman, later <a href="https://twitter.com/leighfinke/status/1651388081595904007" target="_blank" rel="noopener">asserted</a> on social media that the original amendment would have changed “nothing about sexual orientation” and was misrepresented by the media. “Folks could have listened, but they didn’t want to,” the lawmaker added. “They instead used the opportunity to amplify the hatred of trans people. There was never a controversy, but it didn’t matter. The lie exploded into a whirlwind of hate intended to hurt me.”
Minnesota Family Council CEO John Helmberger told The Daily Wire that the organization appreciated the unanimous vote and expressed hope that both parties would work to protect children from exploitation. “We’re also extremely grateful that this amendment was adopted unanimously; that’s a great expression of the desire of legislators in both parties to protect children from exploitation,” he remarked. “However, we wish it hadn’t come to this point; we wish that the authors of this bill would have realized the potentially extremely dangerous direction this legislation would lead, and corrected it before it got to the House floor.”
Helmberger added that some lawmakers had told their constituents that the Minnesota Family Council was “misleading” the public on the dangers from the loophole for pedophiles offered by the initial amendment. “Yesterday’s unanimous vote shows that our concerns were grounded in fact, and Minnesota legislators realized that,” he continued. “We hope this is the start of a new bipartisan drive to protect Minnesota’s kids from exploitation.”
Democrats won control of the Minnesota State Senate last year, enabling lawmakers to <a href="https://www.revisor.mn.gov/bills/text.php?number=SF23&amp;version=latest&amp;session=ls93&amp;session_year=2023&amp;session_number=0" target="_blank" rel="noopener">pass</a> a ban on so-called conversion therapy, defined as any measure “intended to change an individual&#8217;s sexual orientation or gender identity” or “reduce sexual or romantic attractions or feelings toward individuals of the same gender.” Lawmakers also <a href="https://www.revisor.mn.gov/bills/text.php?number=SF165&amp;version=latest&amp;session=ls93&amp;session_year=2023&amp;session_number=0" target="_blank" rel="noopener">approved</a> a measure requiring Minnesota to protect individuals who violate “a law of another state” to procure an abortion.

A United Nations-backed <a href="https://icj2.wpenginepowered.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/03/8-MARCH-Principles-FINAL-printer-version-1-MARCH-2023.pdf">report</a> published last month suggests global leaders normalize pedophilia by allowing children to legally decide on engaging in sexual activities with adults.
Wrapped inside a human-rights-based analysis on the impact of criminal laws proscribing sexual and reproductive health rights, consensual sexual activity, and gender ideology the International Committee of Jurists (ICJ), UNAIDS and the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) published the report — which calls for offenses related to &#8220;sex, drug use, HIV, sexual and reproductive health, homelessness and poverty&#8221; to be decriminalized.
&#8220;Sexual conduct involving persons below the domestically prescribed minimum age of consent to sex may be consensual in fact, if not in law,&#8221; the Geneva-based ICJ wrote.
Authors of the report further advise lawyers, judges, and law enforcement to consider &#8220;the rights and capacity of persons under 18 years of age to make decisions about engaging in consensual sexual conduct and their right to be heard in matters concerning them.&#8221;
&#8220;Pursuant to their evolving capacities and progressive autonomy, persons under 18 years of age should participate in decisions affecting them, with due regard to their age, maturity and best interests, and with specific attention to non-discrimination guarantees.&#8221;
The report took over five years to develop and based its findings on feedback and reviews from jurists, academics, legal practitioners, human rights defenders, and various civil society organizations. Such results primarily focused on the impact of criminal laws proscribing sexual and reproductive health and rights, consensual sexual activity, gender identity, gender expression, HIV non-disclosure, exposure and transmission, drug use, and the possession of drugs for personal use, according to the report.
According to the <a href="https://decriminalise.unaids.org/">UNAIDS</a>, 20 countries criminalize or otherwise prosecute transgender people, 67 countries still criminalize same-sex sexual activity (with 10 imposing the death penalty for it), 115 countries criminalize drug use, more than 130 criminalize HIV exposure, non-disclosure, and transmission, and over 150 countries criminalize some aspects of prostitution.
&#8220;Criminal law is among the harshest of tools at the disposal of the State to exert control over individuals &#8230; as such, it ought to be a measure of last resort however, globally, there has been a growing trend towards overcriminalization,&#8221; Ian Seiderman, Law and Policy Director at ICJ, said in a <a href="https://www.unaids.org/en/resources/presscentre/featurestories/2023/march/20230308_new-legal-principles-decriminalization">news release</a>. &#8220;We must acknowledge that these laws not only violate human rights, but the fundamental principles of criminal law themselves.&#8221;
Retired Judge Edwin Cameron of the Constitutional Court of South Africa argues criminal law deems some groups protected and others condemned and ostracized.
&#8220;In this way, the criminal law performs an expressive function — and it has dramatic consequences on people&#8217;s lives,&#8221; Edwin wrote. &#8220;It sometimes entails a harshly discriminatory impact on groups identified with the disapproved or stigmatized conduct.&#8221;
The report also argues killing unborn children in elective abortions is a human right, calling for decriminalizing the procedure and removing punishment for pregnant mothers who consume drugs or alcohol during pregnancy.
&#8220;Abortion must be taken entirely out of the purview of the criminal law, including for having, aiding, assisting with or providing an abortion …&#8221; the report states.
Officials published the report on March 8 in recognition of International Women&#8217;s Day, alleging a connection between women&#8217;s rights and the age of sexual consent.

More than six hundred children suffered sexual abuse by at least 150 Baltimore-area clergy members and other Archdiocese personnel, according to a Maryland Attorney General’s <a href="https://www.marylandattorneygeneral.gov/news%20documents/OAG_redacted_Report_on_Child_Sexual_Abuse.pdf" target="_blank" rel="noopener">report</a> published in the middle of Holy Week, detailing over 80 years of covering up the scandals.
The Maryland Office of the Attorney General launched a Grand Jury investigation into the Archdiocese of Baltimore in 2018, listing a total of 156 clergy members, deacons, seminaries, teachers, and other employees of the Archdiocese as abusers in “hundreds of thousands” of documents dating back to the 1940s — although officials said the number of victims is likely far higher than outlined in the nearly 500-page report.
Such documents reveal with “disturbing clarity” that the Archdiocese, the first diocese established in the United States, allegedly protected accused clergy members from scandal and negative publicity rather than vulnerable children in their communities. In some cases, church leaders would allegedly offer those accused a chance to retire with financial support.
“Time and again, members of the Church’s hierarchy resolutely refused to acknowledge allegations of child sexual abuse for as long as possible,” the report reads. “When denial became impossible, Church leadership would remove abusers from the parish or school, sometimes with promises that they would have no further contact with children.”
Maryland Attorney General Anthony Brown, who took office in January, <a class="color-link" title="https://fb.watch/jJy7AW9GQ8/" href="https://fb.watch/jJy7AW9GQ8/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" data-ga-track="ExternalLink:https://fb.watch/jJy7AW9GQ8/" aria-label="said">said</a> during a press conference Wednesday the investigation shows the “incontrovertible history uncovered by this investigation is one of pervasive, pernicious and persistent abuse by priests and other archdiocese personnel,” adding most of the alleged abusers listed in the report would not face prosecution as they have passed away.
“It’s also a history of repeated coverup of that abuse by the Catholic Church hierarchy,” Brown said.
The document primarily focuses on alleged sex abuse within the Boston diocese’s systematic cover-up before 2002, following <a href="https://www.bostonglobe.com/news/special-reports/2002/01/06/church-allowed-abuse-priest-for-years/cSHfGkTIrAT25qKGvBuDNM/story.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">The Boston Globe</a> exposing large numbers of reports across the country of individual abusive priests who got away with molesting children, bringing national attention to the scale and pervasiveness of the crisis. The revelations encouraged hundreds of victims to come forward with allegations of abuse, resulting in nearly 250 criminal cases and numerous lawsuits.
Victims of the alleged abusers told <a href="https://apnews.com/article/baltimore-archdiocese-sex-abuse-report-7d5d3af098da59a1c9313a246566638c" target="_blank" rel="noopener">The Associated Press</a> the report was a “long-overdue public reckoning with shameful accusations the church has been facing for decades.”

Jean Hargadon Wehner said her priest, Father Joseph Maskell, abused her in Baltimore during her teenage years in the early 1990s.
Wehner said she initially reported the repeated sexual abuse by Maskell, who also served as her Catholic high school’s counselor and chaplain, to church officials.
“I expected them to do the right thing in 1992,” she told The Associated Press on Wednesday. “I’m still angry.”
Maskell, according to the report, sexually abused at least 39 victims, which he denied before his death in 2001, evading criminal charges.
Kurt Rupprecht, another victim of abuse, told reporters he and others were present to “speak the truth and never stop.”
“We deal with this every day,” Rupprecht said. “It is our life sentence.”
Maryland lawmakers passed a bill ending a statute of limitations on abuse-related civil lawsuits on Wednesday, which now heads to Governor Wes Moore, who has said he supports it, AP reported.
Baltimore archdiocese officials said the church had paid more than $13.2 million for care and compensation for 301 abuse victims since the 1980s, including $6.8 million toward 105 voluntary settlements, according to AP.
Baltimore Archbishop William Lori apologized to the victims in a <a href="https://www.archbalt.org/a-message-from-archbishop-william-e-lori-on-the-maryland-attorney-generals-report/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">statement</a>, saying the report “details a reprehensible time in the history of this Archdiocese, a time that will not be covered up, ignored or forgotten.”
“It is difficult for most to imagine that such evil acts could have actually occurred,” Lori said. “For victim-survivors everywhere, they know the hard truth: These evil acts did occur.”

The report comes nearly two months after an <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/tip-of-the-iceberg-portuguese-catholic-church-accused-of-sexually-abusing-more-than-4800-children" target="_blank" rel="noopener">independent panel</a> studying child abuse in the Roman Catholic Church in Portugal found that members of the church — mainly priests — sexually abused more than 4,800 children over the past 70 years.
The Independent Committee for the Study of Child Abuse in the Catholic Church released its final 500-page report Monday to the Associated Press, which Portuguese bishops set up just over a year ago to look into the alleged historical abuse in the church from 1950 to the present day.
So far, 512 alleged victims have made accusations.
Pedro Strecht, a child psychiatrist who led the commission, told Reuters that at least 4,815 children were abused, adding those accusations are “the tip of the iceberg.”

Thousands of convicted pedophiles in <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/california">California</a> served less than a year in prison after committing lewd or lascivious acts with a child under 14 years old, according to an investigative <a href="https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-11453859/Thousands-convicted-pedophiles-California-getting-year-prison-time.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">report</a>.
The Daily Mail analyzed a statewide database of sex offenders that showed more than 7,000 child molesters were released within months after federal authorities sentenced them to prison.
Former Los Angeles sex crimes prosecutor Samuel Dordulian told Daily Mail that the statistics &#8220;shocked&#8221; him, adding the reality is &#8220;frightening for society.&#8221;
&#8220;Statistics clearly show that pedophiles don&#8217;t get reformed,&#8221; Dordulian said. &#8220;They&#8217;re going to come out, and they&#8217;re going to commit again. Letting these people out early, we&#8217;re allowing for a lot more victimization — and that&#8217;s terrifying.&#8221;
California law requires sex offenders to register their address and update their location upon moving with the Department of Justice. Those names and other personal details are then placed in a public database under Megan&#8217;s Law, which the Clinton administration passed in 1996 after a pedophile murdered 7-year-old Megan Kanka.
According to the report, 54,986 sex offenders were listed on the website in July 2019, of which 76% committed offenses involving children.
The average pedophile served two years and ten months in prison.
One of the examples outlined in the Daily Mail report said an offender in the database named Carlos Alexander Nahue, 48, of Reseda, California, lives one block from Royal Montessori School daycare and three blocks from Reseda Elementary School after allegedly being convicted of &#8220;continuous sexual abuse of a child&#8221; in 2015.
Authorities charged Nahue in October 2014. He pled no contest to the crime in January 2015, which resulted in a judge sentencing him to only two days in an L.A. county jail and five years of probation.
According to the database, some pedophiles committed misdemeanors, such as indecent exposure or attempting to send lewd pictures to children, and convicts received less jail time. However, the most common offenses were &#8220;lewd or lascivious acts&#8221; against children under 14 years old, and 7,152 pedophiles who committed this crime served less than a year.
Dordulian said the statistics were &#8220;&#8216;surprisingly very low.&#8221;
&#8220;In my days [in the L.A. DA&#8217;s office], we made every effort to get as long of a prison sentence as we could because we knew that the minute they&#8217;re going to come out, they&#8217;re more likely to re-offend and another child&#8217;s gonna get harmed,” he told Daily Mail.
Dordulian said as a lawyer who represents victims of sexual abuse, California Governor Gavin Newsom&#8217;s policies shorten prison sentences to reduce the population locked up.
&#8220;That has been the push for the last at least five years: letting people out of prison much earlier than what their sentences were for,&#8221; he said. &#8220;But these types of individuals, they&#8217;re not amenable to rehabilitation, and studies have shown that. They&#8217;re gonna harm another child — It&#8217;s a very, very scary trend.&#8221;
A spokesperson for the state&#8217;s attorney general told Daily Mail that &#8220;public safety is a top priority for the California Department of Justice,&#8221; adding that the issue generally falls on the responsibility of local district attorneys, courts, and state lawmakers.
&#8220;Our office actively works with law enforcement across the state to protect our state&#8217;s children and families, whether that&#8217;s through conducting sting operations targeting sexual predators, issuing guidance to reduce harm to sexually exploited youth, or launching Human Trafficking and Sexual Predator Apprehension Teams,&#8221; the spokesperson said.
Deputy District Attorney Jon Hatami, a child abuse prosecutor in the Los Angeles District Attorney&#8217;s Office, said the situation was &#8220;a disgrace&#8221; to Daily Mail, adding the problem is only getting worse under his boss George Gascón, who supported Proposition 57, which allows early parole for nonviolent felons.
&#8220;Thousands of child victims are being denied justice, and George Gascón and his group of radical prosecutors can care less,&#8221; Hatami said.
Hatami said the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation stopped notifying the child victims and their families of such early releases.
&#8220;It&#8217;s shameful,&#8221; he said. &#8220;Furthermore, most of these sex offenders who are released early have not been rehabilitated whatsoever. This will clearly endanger our future generation of children and our entire community — it&#8217;s a disgrace that the state of California is not prioritizing the safety and well-being of our children.&#8221;
