<a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/kamala-harris">Kamala Harris</a>’ failed bid for the presidency had an estimated cost of more than $1 billion. According to one report, a portion of that money went to celebrities and social media influencers who touted the Democratic candidate on their sizable platforms.
For example, <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/oprah-winfrey">Oprah Winfrey</a>&#8216;s company, Harpo Productions, received $1 million from the Harris campaign on October 15 after Winfrey hosted a town hall event for the campaign in September, per <a href="https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/news/campaigns/presidential/3222249/how-kamala-harris-plowed-through-1-billion/">The Washington Examiner</a>.
Oprah was also featured at Harris’ final campaign rally in Philadelphia just days before the election, where she warned voters to get to the polls instead of being tempted to “sit this one out.”
“If we don&#8217;t show up tomorrow, it is entirely possible that we will not have the opportunity to ever cast a ballot again,&#8221; Oprah <a href="https://www.foxnews.com/politics/final-harris-rally-oprah-warns-trump-presidency-could-end-voting-rights">warned</a> at the time. &#8220;And let me be very clear, if you do not make sure that the people in your life can get to the polls, that is a mistake.&#8221;

It has also been reported that Harris spent six figures building a set for the interview she did on Alex Cooper’s “Call Her Daddy” podcast. The set was built in a hotel room in Washington, D.C., and made to look like Cooper’s actual set in Los Angeles, the Washington Examiner reported.
The Harris campaign declined to comment on finances for the Examiner report, but a post-election report will be available within 30 days, as mandated by the Federal Election Commission.
While they&#8217;re not revealing specifics now, the campaign already disclosed in October that it had spent more than $880 million. This number was much greater than what the Trump campaign spent, which was an estimated $354 million.
Celebrity endorsements and appearances seemed to be a key focus of Harris’ campaign strategy. Beyoncé spoke at a rally in late October but left many fans disappointed that she did not perform. Musical artists from Ricky Martin to Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, and Megan Thee Stallion also took the stage at various rallies. 
Harris scored endorsements from dozens of other celebrities, including the pop star Taylor Swift, who wrote a lengthy plea on her Instagram urging voters to support Harris for president. But despite outspending Trump and earning endorsements from the massive majority of the Hollywood vote, Harris lost every swing state and the popular vote.

Kamala Harris, the word salad queen, has a couple of major problems: She is stupid and narcissistic, and her campaign has no idea how to talk to men. At all. No clue.
A super PAC supporting Harris put out the single worst political ad I have ever seen in my entire life. It is the worst ad I have ever seen because whoever wrote this ad has ever met a man.
<a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DjnyiMSKB3Q" target="_blank" rel="noopener">The ad</a> begins: “Hey, white dudes. So, I think we&#8217;re all pretty sick of hearing how much we suck. Every time you go online it&#8217;s the same story: We’re the problem. And yeah, some white dudes are.”
No dude has ever said this to another dude. No dude ever, when it’s not scripted by a woman.
No man has ever said, “Hey, dudes, you know, a bunch of ladies out there say we’re the problem. And you know what? They&#8217;re right. Some of us are totally the problem.” That’s not even the proper way to construct an ad.
You anticipate the ad continuing with: “They keep saying we&#8217;re the problem, but we&#8217;re not the problem. We’re the makers; we’re the people who are doing the dangerous jobs — and those are the people the Democrats support.”
That&#8217;s where you would think it&#8217;s going. But that&#8217;s not where it goes because they do not know how to speak to dudes. Why? Because it wasn’t a dude writing this ad. Likely, some woke 22-year-old female intern at an ad agency for White Dudes for Harris wrote this ad.
You thought they were going to appeal to men?
Wrong.
They&#8217;re basically saying that if you&#8217;re a man, the only way they can appeal to you is by desperately hoping you ignore Harris, whose picture appears one time in this ad.
The ad was paid for by Beige Rainbow PAC, where all the men go: to Beige Rainbow.
These people have no understanding of men.
The core assumption in the ad is that men hate Kamala Harris.
She&#8217;s going to lose men by a thousand points. There are men not yet born who will vote against Harris.

Meanwhile, Harris herself is out on the campaign trail head-spinning, Linda-Blair-Exorcist style, word vomiting everywhere.
The narcissism on the Democratic side of the aisle is insane. Prime example: Harris, who was put in place by an upper-level coterie of the Democrats without ever having won a single primary vote and stands as the emptiest candidate in American history.
You can’t call her an empty vessel because there is no vessel. She is just a vacuum.
On Thursday, she was on the campaign trail with Oprah Winfrey.
Speaking of vacuity, Harris offered an extraordinary word salad when asked about America. <a href="https://x.com/KateHydeNY/status/1836941755750436983" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Her speech</a> is evidence of what happens when a narcissist is elevated to the top of the American public heap:

And this is a moment where we can and must come together as Americans, understanding we have so much more in common than what separates us. Americans, by character, are people who have dreams and ambitions and aspirations. We believe in what is possible. We believe in what can be, and we believe in fighting for that. That&#8217;s how we came into being, because the people before us understood that one of the greatest expressions, for the love of our country, one of the greatest expressions of patriotism, is to fight for the ideals of who we are, which includes freedom to make decisions about your own body, freedom to be safe from gun violence, freedom to have access to the ballot box, freedom to be who you are and just be, to love who you love openly and with pride, freedom to just be.
And that’s who we are. We believe in all that. And so this is a moment where we stand knowing what we are fighting for. We’re not fighting against. It’s what we’re fighting for.</blockquote>
To whom that garbage appeals deserves precisely what they receive. I don&#8217;t know how it’s possible to listen to that speech and not consider it the most vacuous bulls*** ever spoken. Furthermore, it went on for two minutes. I made it about 30 seconds before I started contemplating my life.
Her extraordinary narcissism and emptiness is characteristic of many politicians, an empty class of people who don&#8217;t actually have ideas. They have impulses and a narcissistic desire for glory.
That word salad — in which her conclusion is that America was founded on abortion, gun control, and trans rights — is astonishing.
She basically said: “That is how I would characterize the people in this country: freedom to kill babies; freedom to not have guns, which doesn&#8217;t explain how the American Revolution happened; and the freedom to just be and to love who you want to love.”
Yes, the Founders were obvious proponents of polyamorous pansexualism. Loved it.
What a clown show we have created in this country, that Harris is considered an upper-level presidential candidate.
Harris has insisted she was good at solving problems.
She could not solve a Sudoku. She is stupid, vacuous, and narcissistic.
Which makes her the perfect candidate for the Democratic party.

Podcast giant <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/joe-rogan" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Joe Rogan</a> slammed billionaire Oprah Winfrey and former first lady Michelle Obama this week for discussing incoming inequality at the Democratic National Convention, noting the sheer hypocrisy of the situation.
Rogan made the remarks during his “The Joe Rogan Experience” podcast this week while discussing some of the lunacy that unfolded at the DNC.
“How about Oprah?” Rogan said. “Oprah was talking about her and Trump running together, and now she’s speaking to the DNC that he’s a threat to democracy and she’s up there talking about income inequality, like, ‘Hey lady — you’re rich as f***!’ I’m like, ‘How is that equal?’”
He said that it was “nuts” how numerous celebrities used to be close friends with Trump, but they now hate him because he’s a Republican and not a Democrat.

Winfrey <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/oprah-tells-dnc-crowd-there-is-no-american-dream-without-abortion" target="_blank" rel="noopener">spoke</a> at the Democratic National Convention (DNC) on Thursday, and promoted abortion as vital to the &#8220;American dream&#8221; and argued that Democrats support freedom, unlike Republicans.
&#8220;It will mean that the glass ceiling has been shattered,&#8221; Winfrey <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yUh866ACWOA" target="_blank" rel="noopener">said</a> of a potential Harris win, hours after her DNC speech. &#8220;Women all over the world will be weeping in the streets.&#8221;
&#8220;It will mean that actually anything is possible because this is her mother, her father, two immigrants coming to the United States &#8230; only in America could Kamala Harris&#8217; story be possible,&#8221; Winfrey told &#8220;CBS Mornings&#8221; co-host Tony Dokoupil. &#8220;And I&#8217;m here, because only in America.&#8221;
Again, Winfrey advocated for abortion, the killing of the unborn. &#8220;A lot of things are on the line, a lot of things are at stake,&#8221; she said. &#8220;I don&#8217;t need the right to abortion, but I believe that the right to control your body and be able to control what happens to you, particularly as a &#8216;woman person,&#8217; in this country, it&#8217;s essential, it&#8217;s fundamental.&#8221;
She added that all the &#8220;freedoms&#8221; she has enjoyed are now &#8220;on the line.&#8221;

Winfrey told CBS that she said yes to giving a speech at the DNC because &#8220;decency and respect are on the ballot. And that&#8217;s why I was willing to do it.&#8221;

The DNC has had a running theme of abortion. As highlighted by The Daily Wire, a Planned Parenthood bus provided free abortions and vasectomies about a half mile down the street from the convention on Monday and Tuesday.
The mobile abortion clinic <a href="https://www.thewrap.com/planned-parenthood-mobile-clinic-services-provided/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">reportedly</a> provided eight abortions and nine vasectomies over the first two days of the DNC.

You may have seen this week that Oprah was back on <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/oprah-insists-obesity-is-a-disease-in-new-doc-touting-ozempic" target="_blank" rel="noopener">primetime</a> television. 
She hosted a special on Monday called &#8220;Shame, Blame and the Weight Loss Revolution.&#8221; Really, it was more of an infomercial for drugs like Ozempic and Wegovy, which millions of Americans are taking to lose weight.
Previously, I&#8217;ve <a href="https://twitter.com/MattWalshShow/status/1661507373851131909" target="_blank" rel="noopener">gone into</a> the various side-effects of these drugs. Ozempic, for example, can potentially <a href="https://www.ozempic.com/important-safety-information.html#:~:text=It%20is%20not%20known%20if%20Ozempic%C2%AE%20will%20cause%20thyroid,type%202%20(MEN%202)." target="_blank" rel="noopener">cause</a> thyroid tumors, cancer, and projectile vomiting. Maybe even more alarming is that we also don&#8217;t really understand how these drugs work. Ozempic essentially tricks the pancreas into releasing more insulin. In turn, Ozempic&#8217;s artificially created hormones, &#8220;appear to actually bind to receptors on neurons in several parts of the brain,&#8221; <a href="https://www.theatlantic.com/health/archive/2023/05/ozempic-addictive-behavior-drinking-smoking/674098/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">according</a> to a biologists quoted last year by The Atlantic. What do these hormones do when they bind to receptors in the brain? Apparently, they reduce people&#8217;s urge not simply to eat, but also to shop, and to engage in a range of other compulsive behaviors. If that&#8217;s true, no scientist in the world has any idea why it&#8217;s happening, or what other modifications this drug might be making to the brain. 
As if to prove that point, as recently as this month, the Atlantic published a follow-up piece <a href="https://www.theatlantic.com/health/archive/2024/03/ozempic-glp1-weight-loss-brain-gut/677645/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">entitled</a>, &#8220;The Science Behind Ozempic Was Wrong.&#8221;
It all sounds very much like an elixir, a wonder-drug that can magically solve all of your problems. But if you&#8217;re the cynical type — or if you just paid any attention at all to big pharma over the past few years — you might have some questions. These are the questions that Oprah&#8217;s infomercial on Monday was intended to address. And to be fair, some of the side effects did come up; one woman in the special said that she had to stop taking one of these weight-loss drugs due to the nausea symptoms, for example.

But by and large, this was a puff-piece that centered on a lie. It&#8217;s a lie that Oprah repeated several times, and that every television medical expert in this country repeats as well. It&#8217;s the claim that obesity is a &#8220;disease,&#8221; rather than a symptom of poor life choices. Watch:

Oprah uses this idea that obesity is a &#8220;disease&#8221; to justify &#8220;treating&#8221; it with drugs instead of diet and exercise. This is an idea that, if you listen to medical experts, is something you&#8217;re not supposed to question. As you just heard from that CBS doctor: &#8220;It&#8217;s a chronic disease! Go to the C.D.C. website! Everybody will tell you the same thing! It&#8217;s just like asthma or diabetes!&#8221; And then everyone nods around the desk.
Except, obesity is nothing like asthma or diabetes, actually. People with obesity can cure themselves. That&#8217;s true in literally every case of obesity. You can lock someone in a room and feed them 1,000 calories of fruit every day, and they will be cured with one-hundred percent certainty. All you have to do is eat a healthy diet, and you&#8217;re cured. You can&#8217;t say the same for everyone with asthma or diabetes (at least not Type 1 diabetes). And if obesity is a disease, you’d need to explain why almost nobody in the country had this “disease” in the 1930s. And why nobody in Ethiopia has it today.
There seems to be a very curious correlation here. The “disease” of obesity only takes hold in places where people eat a lot of food and don’t get a lot of exercise. 
They say correlation isn’t causation, but I think in this case the causation is pretty clear. This is such an obvious, self-evident point that it made me wonder: When exactly did medical experts suddenly decide that obesity is a &#8220;disease,&#8221; and why did they do it? What definition were they using, exactly?
It turns out that the esteemed medical journal The Lancet has already answered this question. Back in 2013, the American Medical Association simply decided to arbitrarily classify obesity as a disease, even though they admitted that it didn&#8217;t meet the scientific definition of a disease. 
As <a href="https://www.thelancet.com/journals/eclinm/article/PIIS2589-5370%2823%2900139-6/fulltext" target="_blank" rel="noopener">The Lancet</a> notes: 
<blockquote>A disease, by definition, needs to have characteristic symptoms and signs, and even though excess [body fat] is a characteristic sign, there are no symptoms that are unique to obesity. &#8230; The American Medical Association (AMA) applied a different approach to this conundrum in 2013. Instead of trying to determine whether obesity fits specific definitions of disease, the AMA used a utilitarian approach to determine whether the recognition of obesity as a disease would have a positive impact on the individual patient, the healthcare system, and the wider society.</blockquote>
In other words, they realized that obesity doesn&#8217;t meet the definition of a disease, because there are no unique symptoms that only obese people suffer from. But they just decided to call it a disease anyway, to raise awareness (otherwise known as, to sell more medications). That&#8217;s what one of the top medical journals in the world is admitting. And by the way, it wasn&#8217;t just the AMA that took this approach. The Lancet <a href="https://www.thelancet.com/journals/eclinm/article/PIIS2589-5370%2823%2900139-6/fulltext" target="_blank" rel="noopener">continues</a>: 
<blockquote>In the U.K., the Royal College of Physicians (RCP) recognised obesity as a disease in 2019. The main argument of RCP and those in favour of this recognition is that, unless obesity is defined as a disease, the funding for effective treatment options will be inadequate to stop its increasing prevalence and the health and socioeconomic costs associated with it.</blockquote>
This is almost too absurd to be real. But it is real. Leading medical associations all over the world decided to lie about obesity being a &#8220;disease,&#8221; and they admitted it out loud, and everyone just went along with it. We&#8217;re still seeing this today, of course, with nonsense like &#8220;Long COVID.&#8221; But with obesity, they just came out and told us they were lying. And no one saw a problem with it.
Take for example this remarkable clip from 2013, which is the year the AMA decided to just invent the idea that obesity is a disease. Watch as Charlie Rose asks the medical expert about this. You can tell Rose is a little confused as to why the AMA has suddenly made this decision out of nowhere. It&#8217;s just one non-answer and non-sequitur after another. &#8220;It&#8217;s a disease because it hurts your body!&#8221; exclaims the T.V. doctor. But that&#8217;s not what a disease is. Shooting yourself in the foot would hurt your body, too. That doesn&#8217;t mean that shooting yourself in the foot is a disease. 
Drowning yourself in the river will hurt your body. But when they pull your corpse out of the water they aren’t going to say, “Wow, it looks like he died from the drowning disease.” It doesn’t make sense. So when Charlie Rose puts some more mild pressure on this guy, he just says, well, the AMA overwhelmingly agrees with me. So shut up and accept the fact that obesity is a disease. Science commands it. You don&#8217;t get to ask questions.
It&#8217;s not hard to see what&#8217;s going on here. The point is to medicalize the human condition and remove human agency by turning all vice into an illness. And in the process, big pharma makes a lot of money. It&#8217;s less clear why exactly anyone should take Oprah seriously concerning this topic. Back in December, Oprah <a href="https://people.com/oprah-winfrey-reveals-weight-loss-medication-exclusive-8414552" target="_blank" rel="noopener">disclosed</a> that she has been taking a nonspecific weight-loss medication herself. More recently, just weeks before this primetime infomercial aired, Oprah <a href="https://www.npr.org/2024/03/01/1235100405/after-nearly-a-decade-oprah-winfrey-is-set-to-depart-the-board-of-weightwatchers#:~:text=Oprah%20Winfrey%20plans%20on%20leaving,next%20shareholder%20meeting%20in%20May." target="_blank" rel="noopener">stepped aside</a> from her role on the board of Weight Watchers this month, claiming it could present a conflict of interest.

In reality, the conflict is so obvious and so significant, that it completely undercuts the integrity of Oprah&#8217;s special, no matter what she does. Last year, Weight Watchers <a href="https://corporate.ww.com/news/news-details/2023/WW-International-Inc.-Completes-Acquisition-of-Sequence/default.aspx#:~:text=(NASDAQ%3A%20WW)%20(%E2%80%9C,specializing%20in%20chronic%20weight%20management." target="_blank" rel="noopener">purchased</a> a tele-health startup called Sequence that connects customers with doctors who are ready and willing to prescribe Ozempic. Weight Watchers realized that its model of preaching personal willpower and self-control was going out of style, so in a last-ditch effort to save the company, they started <a href="https://www.cnn.com/2023/12/14/business/weightwatchers-ozempic-weight-loss/index.html#:~:text=The%20support%20program%20is%20included,care%20physician%20if%20they%20prefer." target="_blank" rel="noopener">selling</a> $99-a-month subscriptions to connect their customers with these weight-loss drugs. Oprah was on the board of Weight Watchers during that period.
Given that background, it&#8217;s hard to be impressed with the fact that Oprah left Weight Watchers&#8217; board *right before* airing a special that stands to benefit both Weight Watchers and their new partners in big pharma. This would be a little like Hunter Biden suddenly leaving his extremely well-paying job on the board of a Ukrainian oil company, a few days before flying Joe Biden into Kiev on a private jet to fire the attorney general looking into the oil company. It doesn&#8217;t really look good, under any circumstances.
But the possibility that Oprah is a corrupt saleswoman isn&#8217;t really the story here. Everyone knew that already. The fact that virtually every medical expert in the country has been lying to you about obesity is the story. It&#8217;s not a disease. It&#8217;s not a chronic disorder that only some miracle drug can fix. That whole idea is a scam — one that the AMA deliberately started spreading more than a decade ago. And everything we&#8217;ve heard from the medical community since — including this transparent, cringeworthy Oprah infomercial this week — has been designed to perpetuate that scam. They want you to believe you don&#8217;t have any agency over your body or your life, so they can sell you a supply of drugs that cost $1,000 a month. Don&#8217;t fall for it.

TV host <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/oprah-winfrey">Oprah Winfrey</a> is fully on board with Ozempic, insisting <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/obesity">obesity</a> is a disease and should be treated as such.
The 70-year-old <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/celebrities">celebrity</a> has talked about her struggle with weight for decades and served on the board of Weight Watchers for nearly 10 years. Earlier this year, Winfrey admitted to using semaglutide injections for weight loss and expressed her desire to reduce the stigma associated with them.
On Monday night, the ABC special “An Oprah Special: Shame, Blame and the Weight Loss Revolution” further defended the use of medication such as Ozempic, Wegovy, and Zepbound to aid with weight loss, per <a href="https://www.huffpost.com/entry/oprah-remarks-weight-loss_n_65f9c06ce4b0947e42005230">HuffPost</a>.
During the special, Winfrey said people should “stop the shaming and blaming” of individuals and themselves for weight gain because they could be battling a food addiction “disease” much like alcoholism.

“The number one thing I hope people come away with is knowing that [obesity] is a disease, and it’s in the brain,” Winfrey said.
The talk show host also discussed her past struggle with maintaining a healthy weight, saying, “I have to say that I took on the shame that the world gave to me. For 25 years, making fun of my weight was national sport.”
She brought up the infamous moment in 1988 when she showed off 67 pounds of animal fat on camera to portray the amount of weight she had lost. But now Winfrey says she didn’t take weight off in a healthy way at the time, but rather opted to “starve” herself.
“After losing 67 pounds on liquid diet, the next day, the very next day, I started to gain it back,” she said. 
During the special, Winfrey interviews individuals who have used semaglutide drugs for weight loss. She also speaks with doctors to assess the safety of taking the drugs long-term.

“All these years, I thought all of the people who never had to diet were just using their willpower, and they were for some reason stronger than me,” Winfrey said during the special, per <a href="https://time.com/6958224/oprah-weight-loss-special-ozempic/">Time</a>. She said taking these types of drugs had made her stop obsessing about food all the time. While Winfrey admits to taking the medication, she has not publicly revealed the specific brand she uses. 
This type of medication, which is usually prescribed to treat Type II diabetes, has exploded in popularity as it slows gastric emptying, leading to users feeling fuller for longer. Many users report a long-lasting feeling of satiety which curbs their appetite significantly, leading to weight loss results.
There are also reports of unpleasant side effects from taking the medication, <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/doctors-sound-alarm-over-latest-ozempic-risk">including</a> a potential risk of thyroid tumors and cancer associated with Ozempic, according to studies done with rodents. More common side effects include nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, stomach pain, and constipation, while more severe side effects of Ozempic and other similar drugs include gastroparesis, allergic reactions, changes in vision, and pancreatitis.
Some doctors may prescribe Ozempic to help individuals without diabetes lose weight, but this use is considered “off-label” because the drug is not FDA-approved for weight management. Also, studies show that users who stop using the drug regain the weight they lost in three to five years.
Winfrey closed the special by saying semaglutide drugs are not for everyone. She said, “for the people who think that this could be the relief and support and freedom…that you’ve been looking for your whole life… bless you.”

The 69-year-old billionaire <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/celebrities">TV personality</a> — who has been open in the past about her weight loss struggles and has defended using the medication (which is intended as a treatment for Type 2 diabetes) to lose weight — will host &#8220;An Oprah Special: Shame, Blame and the Weight Loss Revolution&#8221; in front of a live studio audience, <a href="https://www.accessonline.com/articles/oprah-winfrey-to-host-tv-special-on-ozempic-weight-loss-drugs-personal-topic-for-me">Access Hollywood</a> reported.
&#8220;It is a very personal topic for me and for the hundreds of millions of people impacted around the globe who have for years struggled with weight and obesity,&#8221; Winfrey said in a statement.
&#8220;This special will bring together medical experts, leaders in the space and people in the day-to-day struggle to talk about health equity and obesity with the intention to ultimately release the shame, judgment and stigma surrounding weight,&#8221; she added.
According to a press release from ABC,  the event will gather together &#8220;leading medical experts and everyday people&#8221; to discuss the &#8220;prevailing questions and concerns surrounding the impact on our health care, economy, lifestyle and culture.&#8221;

The 69-year-old billionaire <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/celebrities">TV personality</a> has publicly discussed her weight loss struggles for decades. She most recently shared her thoughts during an interview with <a href="https://people.com/oprah-winfrey-reveals-weight-loss-medication-exclusive-8414552">People</a> that was published Wednesday.
&#8220;It was public sport to make fun of me for 25 years,&#8221; she said of the media’s fixation on her fluctuating weight over the years. &#8220;I have been blamed and shamed, and I blamed and shamed myself.&#8221;
Winfrey said that after “five decades” of obsessing over losing weight and “believing willpower” was her “failing,” she experienced a turning point after undergoing knee surgery in 2021.
&#8220;After knee surgery, I started hiking and setting new distance goals each week. I could eventually hike three to five miles every day and a 10-mile straight-up hike on weekends,&#8221; the TV talk show host told People. &#8220;I felt stronger, more fit and more alive than I’d felt in years.&#8221;
Of her eating habits these days, Winfrey said, &#8220;I eat my last meal at 4 o’clock, drink a gallon of water a day, and use the WeightWatchers principles of counting points. I had an awareness of [weight-loss] medications, but felt I had to prove I had the willpower to do it. I now no longer feel that way.&#8221;
&#8220;I was actually recommending [the medication] to people long before I was on it myself,” she added.
Winfrey said she changed her thinking about the use of weight loss medication during a panel discussion called “The State of Weight,” which is part of Oprah Daily’s “Life You Want” series.
&#8220;I had the biggest aha along with many people in that audience,&#8221; she said of doing the panel in July. &#8220;I realized I’d been blaming myself all these years for being overweight, and I have a predisposition that no amount of willpower is going to control.&#8221;
&#8220;Obesity is a disease. It’s not about willpower — it&#8217;s about the brain,&#8221; Winfrey told People. 
As for using weight loss medication herself, the media mogul said she let go of “shame” when she started using it. She also didn’t disclose which specific one she’s been using. 
&#8220;I now use it as I feel I need it, as a tool to manage not yo-yoing,&#8221; Winfrey told the outlet. 
&#8220;The fact that there&#8217;s a medically approved prescription for managing weight and staying healthier, in my lifetime, feels like relief, like redemption, like a gift, and not something to hide behind and once again be ridiculed for. I’m absolutely done with the shaming from other people and particularly myself.&#8221;
She explained how she utilized the medication ahead of Thanksgiving, for example. &#8220;Because I knew I was going to have two solid weeks of eating,&#8221; Winfrey said, adding that &#8220;instead of gaining eight pounds like I did last year, I gained half a pound.&#8221;

Winfrey said she wasn&#8217;t uncomfortable with it, adding that she was &#8220;actually comforted by the stroking of the arm.&#8221; She then joked that she told her longtime partner, Stedman Graham, he needed to start stroking her arm that way.
Winfrey said she&#8217;d never seen Barrymore do that before but thought it was an &#8220;endearing&#8221; action.
Barrymore has been criticized in the past for her interviewing style. In March, the talk show host faced a backlash when she got down on her knees and knelt with trans-identifying male influencer Dylan Mulvaney.

In the final edition, Scobie doesn&#8217;t name the royal due to libel laws. However, an earlier copy sent to Dutch journalists did reportedly appear to reveal the person&#8217;s identity in the translation, according to the Daily Mail, who chose to redact it.
It is reportedly in a section of the book referencing letters written between King Charles III and Markle about the alleged conversation, &#8220;But in those private letters [the identity] was confirmed: ….&#8221; it read.
In the 2021 Oprah Winfrey tell-all interview, the Duchess of Sussex claimed there had been &#8220;several&#8221; conversations &#8220;about how dark his [Archie&#8217;s] skin might be when he&#8217;s born,&#8221; as previously reported.
&#8220;Potentially and what that would mean or look like,&#8221; Markle added.
Harry confirmed the alleged incident to Oprah, saying, &#8220;That conversation I&#8217;m never going to share. But at the time, it was awkward, I was a bit shocked. I&#8217;m not comfortable sharing it.&#8221;
In 2018, Markle and Harry tied the knot in a royal celebration at St. George&#8217;s Chapel in Windsor Castle.  Two years later, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex stepped down from their royal roles, and eventually ended up leaving the United Kingdom, moving to Southern California where they raise their two children.
