Demi Moore just revealed her most horrifyingly skeletal look yet. But after the <a href="https://pagesix.com/2026/05/12/celebrity-news/demi-moores-toned-arms-take-center-stage-on-cannes-film-festival-2026-red-carpet/">New York Post</a> ran a headline about “Demi Moore’s toned arms,” the internet clapped back at the use of “toned” to describe the severely anatomical detail of her upper limbs. 
It wasn’t “toned”; it was terrifying. A natural beauty now in her sixties, she had morphed into the evanescent incarnation of dark diet culture. And the media were all in. Thankfully, many onlookers pushed back. 
Daily Wire host <a href="https://www.instagram.com/p/DYS6kdIlkq1/?img_index=2">Isabel Brown</a> posted, “This is equally as damaging to women’s health conversations as normalizing morbid obesity is.” 
<a href="https://www.instagram.com/reels/DYQwckfSPdP/">Riley Gaines</a> quipped, “Demi Moore actually looks like she’s on the brink of death … Girls, don’t believe the lie that this is what it looks like to be ‘toned.’” 
“That is neither muscle nor healthy. It is phenomenally sad that she looks in the mirror and sees this as a win,” one <a href="https://www.reddit.com/r/popculture/comments/1tceaqy/comment/olnr9i2/?utm_source=share&amp;utm_medium=web3x&amp;utm_name=web3xcss&amp;utm_term=1&amp;utm_content=share_button">Redditor</a> posted. 
As a society, we’re pretty cool about offering others a wide berth to live life in a variety of possible body shapes, delivering grace when it’s needed. But when does empathy become enabling? Is it kind to let an impending train wreck speed straight off the rails, or do we have a moral obligation to pull the emergency brake? 
Moore’s apparent emotional bedrock, Bruce Willis, has been suffering from <a href="https://www.today.com/health/disease/bruce-willis-health-rcna99998">dementia</a> since 2022. No one would argue that she shouldn’t be afforded the room to grieve. But two things can be true at once, and 63-year-old Moore has previously admitted to punishing her body in the name of beauty.
In 2025, Moore described her new “self-care” routine, telling <a href="https://people.com/worlds-most-beautiful-demi-moore-cover-story-photos-exclusive-11717760">People</a>, “I have a greater appreciation for all that my body has been through that brought me to now … It doesn’t define my value or who I am.” She admitted to once doing “crazy things like biking from Malibu all the way to Paramount, which is about 26 miles. All because I placed so much value on what my outsides looked like.” In the same breath, she said she was “so much more about my overall health and longevity” now.
It was just a few months after she won <a href="https://www.npr.org/2025/01/06/nx-s1-5249981/demi-moore-golden-globes-the-substance">her first</a> major acting award: a <a href="https://pagesix.com/2026/05/12/celebrity-news/demi-moores-toned-arms-take-center-stage-on-cannes-film-festival-2026-red-carpet/">Golden Globe</a> for “The Substance,” which is about a black market anti-aging <a href="https://www.flixist.com/review-the-substance/">drug</a>. As part of her acceptance speech, she recalled, “In those moments when we don’t think we’re smart enough or pretty enough or skinny enough or successful enough … I had a woman say to me, ‘Just know you will never be enough, but you can know the value of your worth if you just put down the measuring stick.’”
Maybe Moore allegedly ditched the measuring stick, but it seems she doesn’t live up to her own beauty standard. Still, it’s not unreasonable to redirect the focus to medical professionals who continue to prescribe weight-loss drugs to vulnerable A-listers who are starving themselves and then convince fans to follow suit.
On the jury to select the Cannes festival’s Palme d’Or, Moore first made a red carpet splash in a sequined and sculpted Jacquemus gown, followed by a fuchsia look by French cult favorite Matières Fécales (yep, that’s “fecal matter” in French, for anyone who’s been following along since the <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/fake-urine-famesick-celebs-and-100k-tickets-inside-the-grotesque-hypocrisy-of-the-met-gala">Met Gala</a>). The pink reflected a rosy glow onto her porcelain skin as her mantis-like frame appeared to be propped up by an enormous bow of intentionally tattered fabric in a fashionable “<a href="https://www.harpersbazaar.com/fashion/a71328540/demi-moore-cannes-matieres-fecales-dress-stylist-interview-red-carpet/">state of decay</a>.” Touché. 
“Let’s say there were no such thing as GLP-1s. Let’s say we were just looking at that. You’d go, ‘Well, that is starvation, that’s an eating disorder, if she was not in a concentration camp,” <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XRZw9B9u3ek">Dr. Drew Pinsky</a> suggested on “The Rubin Report.” “But now we have a drug that causes that … I don’t know where this is gonna stop. It’s gonna hurt a lot of people.”
Despite the backlash, some think Demi Moore and other stars making notoriously waify waves in the industry (such as <a href="https://www.aol.com/articles/exclusive-ariana-grande-sparks-fan-120000082.html?guccounter=1&amp;guce_referrer=aHR0cHM6Ly93d3cuZ29vZ2xlLmNvbS8&amp;guce_referrer_sig=AQAAACRd0dAGZwPVgIhjtv48zqesOTA31-kW5cruECKW6zT6O4W7512Q7x_yBVbX5vEVAZahqFpyHVYJcuMEx6bh0tXvTQwqUFT1fdm65-YMTuTrf5EuAtSYFNkgWmxq3nf1emuCdSZRJmnop5B9JVgwxv82XyvZKXVh8924zcfBewOJ">Ariana Grande</a>, <a href="https://people.com/kelly-osbourne-slams-critics-for-calling-out-her-dramatic-weight-loss-transformation-11866054">Kelly Osbourne</a>, and <a href="https://pagesix.com/2026/03/15/celebrity-news/stylists-fear-stars-are-blind-to-how-skinny-they-really-are/">Emma Stone</a>) look good. After spending almost two decades in Hollywood, I’m confident that some of these stick-thin stars probably still think they could lose a few pounds. Flattering media certainly doesn’t help. OK! magazine fawning over Olivia Wilde’s emaciated “<a href="https://okmagazine.com/p/olivia-wilde-glows-new-photos-after-health-concerns-unrecognizable-appearance/">glow</a>” helps no one.

And <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Uk_ZUYegt14">Wegovy</a> launched a star-studded awards season campaign normalizing doing weight loss drugs, comparing dosing the GLP-1 pill to rescuing kittens in trees. Why wouldn’t you take it? Be a good person!
“In a clinical setting, these changes from baseline are cause for alarm,” celeb nutritionist Jess Baker <a href="https://pagesix.com/2026/03/15/celebrity-news/stylists-fear-stars-are-blind-to-how-skinny-they-really-are/">said</a> of the hollow muscle wasting she sees in GLP-1 overusers. “They can indicate malnutrition, meaning the body isn’t getting enough of what it needs to function.”
That <a href="https://health.ucdavis.edu/news/headlines/uc-davis-health-examines-systemic-impact-of-glp-1based-therapies/2025/12">40% lean muscle loss</a> you’ll likely experience is scientifically proven (this drug-induced weight loss is all-inclusive, y’all). Just focus on the fact that if you stop taking GLP-1s, you’ll likely <a href="https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC11940170/">rebound</a> to your previous weight. Y’know, minus your <a href="https://www.massgeneral.org/news/article/why-muscle-mass-matters-and-how-to-keep-it">blood sugar-regulating</a>, critically structural muscle mass. Maybe you’ll get lucky and just <a href="https://macularhope.org/ozempic-is-making-some-patients-go-blind-will-ozempic-survive-this-well-see/?gad_source=1&amp;gad_campaignid=22624478307&amp;gbraid=0AAAAADmkl5ztW0Ku0pkT0DB3M4vGH5Ihk&amp;gclid=CjwKCAjw8arQBhB9EiwAfIKdQrWfJPl_xJm6cph8z2EFPw5-bPqDhIKyJgTWqYHJE4hfxLFvX83RShoCYuAQAvD_BwE">go blind</a> like some plaintiffs of the <a href="https://www.jdsupra.com/legalnews/10-dangerous-drug-cases-in-2026-are-you-8925382/">3,000 active lawsuits</a> against these weight loss drugs allegedly have.
Frustratingly, celebrities will never come clean about the massive resources they have at their disposal to set the current standard of beauty, while the rest of us mill around the Walgreens clearance section like Children of the Corn. However this GLP-1 thing shakes out, we can almost guarantee there will be a pharmaceutical antidote we won’t be able to afford.
But as a precursor to societal doom via hot girl pharma, maybe we could stop propping those who are dangerously overweight or devastatingly thin, as a picture of health. We’ve walked way over the line on whether we should or shouldn’t talk about women’s bodies, and maybe it’s time we get honest about what’s healthy. 
Evolutionary behavioral scientist <a href="https://www.newsweek.com/2021/05/28/gad-saad-cancel-culture-idea-pathogens-future-discourse-1593467.html">Gad Saad</a> offers a term for not speaking the truth on the chance it will hurt someone’s feelings: “forbidden knowledge.” Pretending that someone is well when she isn’t is not empowering; it’s dangerous. 
Even if Demi Moore is going through a challenging chapter, is it empathetic for loved ones to let her destroy herself in the name of her own grief? Standing by as someone eats herself to death — or her body consumes its own muscle tissue to survive — is a suicidal mission in both directions. We can do so much better for each other. Let’s shine the spotlight on balanced health and real wellness, not disordered eating in disguise.

<a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/olivia-wilde-slams-ex-jason-sudeikis-for-custody-paper-stunt-says-he-tried-to-sabotage-her" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Jason Sudeikis</a> and his ex-fiance <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/every-blessing-to-her-and-her-film-shia-labeouf-reacts-after-olivia-wilde-doubles-downs-on-claims-against-actor" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Olivia Wilde</a> have finally settled their custody battle — after nearly two years in and out of court — with Sudeikis agreeing to pay Wilde nearly $30,000 a month in child support.
The 48-year-old actor allegedly has agreed to pay the 39-year-old actress a total of $27,500 per month for their two kids, 9-year-old son Otis and 7-year-old daughter Daisy, according to documents obtained by the <a href="https://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-12558385/Jason-Sudeikis-Olivia-Wilde-finally-settle-custody-battle.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Daily Mail</a>.
The court documents allegedly noted that, on top of the monthly child support, the &#8220;Ted Lasso&#8221; star must also cover 25% of the &#8220;Don&#8217;t Worry Darling&#8221; director&#8217;s childcare costs, the outlet noted. Sudeikis&#8217;s annual income, as of 2023, is estimated to be $10.5 million while Wilde&#8217;s is $500,000.

&#8220;The income of each party is in dispute and fluctuates,&#8221; the documents allegedly read, and it said the couple agrees &#8220;such disputes and fluctuations are not material to their agreement that Jason has an extraordinarily high income&#8230;&#8221; and the amount under child support guidelines would exceed the children&#8217;s needs, according to the Daily Mail.
&#8220;The parties agree that child support for the minor children in the amount of $27,500 per month is sufficient to maintain the needs of the minor children considering Jason&#8217;s station in life, &#8230; is consistent with each child&#8217;s best interest, and application of the guideline would be unjust or inappropriate in this case,&#8221; the document continued.

News of the settlement comes more than a year after &#8220;The Change-Up&#8221; star was <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/olivia-wilde-slams-ex-jason-sudeikis-for-custody-paper-stunt-says-he-tried-to-sabotage-her" target="_blank" rel="noopener">served custody papers</a> during her presentation on stage at the CinemaCon in Las Vegas in April 2022.
In August that year, a source told <a href="https://people.com/olivia-wilde-jason-sudeikis-settle-custody-battle-child-support-7974329" target="_blank" rel="noopener">People magazine</a> that Wilde &#8220;wants to focus on what&#8217;s best for the kids. She and Jason don&#8217;t speak to each other, so they have help communicating about the custody schedule.&#8221;
The former Hollywood couple first started dating back in 2011 after meeting at a Saturday Night Live party, the outlet noted. In 2012, the two stars got engaged and two years later the pair welcomed son Otis in August.
In 2016, the &#8220;Horrible Bosses&#8221; star and Wilde welcomed daughter Daisy into the world, before news of their split broke in 2020.

On Thursday, <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/megyn-kelly" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Megyn Kelly</a> slammed director Olivia Wilde&#8217;s attack on Dr. Jordan Peterson in her new film &#8220;Don&#8217;t Worry Darling.” Kelly said the movie is &#8220;a man bashing film,&#8221; according to what she’s read about it, with a #MeToo theme in which Peterson is depicted as &#8220;some sort of demon.&#8221;
During Sirius XM&#8217;s &#8220;The Megyn Kelly Show&#8221; <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TboxrSvhHfw">podcast</a> Thursday, the host spoke with Daily Wire Editor Emeritus <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/show/the-ben-shapiro-show">Ben Shapiro</a> regarding Wilde&#8217;s comments about <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/show/the-jordan-b-peterson-podcast">Peterson</a>, which are an example of how the Left hates those who don&#8217;t fit into a certain category for political purposes, like young men.
&#8220;The nerve of Olivia Wilde to refer to Jordan Peterson as a pseudo intellectual as though she knows anything, I mean literally anything,&#8221; Kelly said, noting Wilde&#8217;s &#8220;incel&#8221; comment in which the actress/director compared Peterson to &#8220;disenfranchised mostly white men, who believe they are entitled to sex from woman,” and more.
Shapiro explained that Peterson’s philosophy is that men have a &#8220;purpose&#8221; and must &#8220;undergo struggle.&#8221; He said Peterson is right that &#8220;men do have toxic masculinity inside them and you have to battle that with being a gentlemen.&#8221;
The <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/take-your-fetish-behind-a-closed-door-megyn-kelly-blows-up-at-canadian-school-for-allowing-trans-shop-teacher-with-enormous-breasts-prosthetics" target="_blank" rel="noopener">host</a> noted that &#8220;in 2019, men accounted for 80% of all suicide deaths in America,&#8221; and explained that &#8220;studies also show that a majority of American men who die by suicide have no known history of mental health problems.&#8221;
&#8220;Because they don&#8217;t talk about them,&#8221; Kelly explained. &#8220;It&#8217;s not that they don&#8217;t have any mental health problems, they don&#8217;t talk about them. And when they do talk about them, and like Jordan Peterson, listen to Jorden Peterson, subscribe to Jordan Peterson or anybody else speaking about these issues, they get attacked. They get featured in an Olivia Wilde movie as some sort of demon, so screw her!&#8221;

Renowned psychologist <a href="http://www.dailywire.com/topic/jordan-peterson/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Jordan Peterson</a> choked up during a recent interview with British broadcaster <a href="http://www.dailywire.com/topic/piers-morgan/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Piers Morgan</a> as he questioned why he is often vilified for trying to give a voice to the marginalized.
In an appearance on &#8220;Piers Morgan: Uncensored&#8221; that aired Tuesday, the pair discussed a range of topics including Olivia Wilde&#8217;s film, &#8220;Don&#8217;t Worry Darling,&#8221; and her <a href="https://dailywire.com/news/jordan-petersons-daughter-responds-to-claims-he-inspired-olivia-wilde-movie-villain/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">claim</a> that she had modeled the movie&#8217;s villain after Peterson.

&#8220;I want to ask you this quickly, the film director Olivia Wilde has a new movie out, which she says is based on you, this &#8216;insane man, a pseudo-intellectual hero to the incel community,&#8217; incel being these weirdo, loner men who are despicable in many ways,&#8221; Morgan began. &#8220;Is that you? Are you the intellectual hero to these people?&#8221;
&#8220;Sure, why not?&#8221; Peterson said in measured tones after a long pause. &#8220;People have been after me for a long time because I&#8217;ve been speaking to disaffected young men. You know, what a terrible thing to do that is.&#8221;
Peterson choked up then, his voice breaking slightly as he added, &#8220;I thought the marginalized were supposed to have a voice?&#8221;
&#8220;It&#8217;s making you emotional, to talk about it,&#8221; Morgan observed.
&#8220;Well, God, you know, it&#8217;s very difficult to understand how demoralized people are, and certainly many young men are in that category,&#8221; Peterson said. &#8220;And you get these casual insults, &#8216;these incels,&#8217; what does it mean? It&#8217;s like, well, these men, they don&#8217;t know how to make themselves attractive to women — who are very picky, and good for them. That&#8217;s your gift, man. Women, be picky. Demand high standards from your men. Fair enough.
&#8220;But all these men who are alienated, it&#8217;s like, they&#8217;re lonesome and they don&#8217;t know what to do, and everyone piles abuse on them,&#8221; Peterson added.
Morgan asked again whether the insult from Wilde — the fact that she had based a movie villain on him — had &#8220;stung.&#8221; Peterson dismissed it as &#8220;low-level,&#8221; as insults go.
&#8220;Once I got painted as RedSkull, you know, magical super-Nazi,&#8221; Peterson said, referring to a Captain America issue in which the act-villain was a clear parody of Peterson. &#8220;That was kind of the end of the insults, there&#8217;s no place past that.&#8221;
He went on to say that after seeing the preview for Wilde&#8217;s film, he actually thought he might like to see it.
&#8220;Perhaps I will,&#8221; he laughed.
Morgan then backtracked a bit, saying, &#8220;You&#8217;ve been so controlled today, yet in that brief moment you got very emotional: why?&#8221;
&#8220;It&#8217;s really something to see, constantly, how many people are dying for lack of an encouraging word,&#8221; Peterson replied.
Peterson, who recently began a <a href="https://dailywire.com/news/new-streaming-service-dailywire-launches-signs-jordan-peterson-in-multi-year-deal/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">multi-year partnership</a> with DailyWire+, also announced a limited-series <a href="https://dailywire.com/news/dailywire-launches-limited-series-dragons-monsters-and-men-with-jordan-peterson/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">podcast</a> aimed at young men titled, &#8220;Dragons, Monsters, &amp; Men.&#8221;

You’ve probably heard of the new film Don’t Worry Darling by now. If you haven’t seen a trailer, you’ve at least heard of the drama. 
First, director Olivia Wilde and Shia LaBeouf <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/every-blessing-to-her-and-her-film-shia-labeouf-reacts-after-olivia-wilde-doubles-downs-on-claims-against-actor">sparred</a> over whether the actor quit the production or was fired. Then there were reports that Wilde and the film’s leading lady, Florence Pugh, <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/a-complete-fabrication-chris-pine-swears-harry-styles-did-not-spit-on-him">didn’t get along</a> on set. There is also Wilde’s relationship and possible affair with star Harry Styles, of which Pugh <a href="https://pagesix.com/2022/07/30/florence-pugh-upset-over-olivia-wilde-harry-styles-affair/">reportedly</a> didn’t approve.
And, finally, at the Venice Film Festival where the film premiered, there was #SpitGate. Did Harry Styles <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/watch-did-harry-styles-actually-spit-on-chris-pine-at-venice-film-festival">spit on</a> Chris Pine? Reps for Pine vehemently denied the internet’s speculation, but Styles had a bit of fun with the drama, <a href="https://www.bbc.com/news/entertainment-arts-62818523">telling</a> a crowd at his next concert, “I just popped very quickly to Venice to spit on Chris Pine &#8230; but fret not, we&#8217;re back.”
All of this — and more, though I won’t bore you — is the backdrop to Don’t Worry Darling, a psychological thriller about a woman trapped in an eerily perfect world with a dark secret. Whether the film’s drama was real and caused by poor directing (not <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/shapiro-it-doesnt-take-much-to-become-a-feminist-hero">sexism</a>), or whether it was drummed up to build hype for the film, viewers might find the movie itself a little disappointing.
After all, when the highest praise Styles can come up with is that it “feels like a movie,” it doesn’t inspire a lot of confidence in what you’re about to see. But Don’t Worry Darling does “feel like a movie” in a visual sense: its colorful, 1950s-style backdrop is gorgeous and flawlessly crafted. The costuming and the set design shine, as does the cinematography, with aerial shots intermingled with close-ups cleverly placed to add to the viewer’s increasing sense of disorientation and dread. And then, there’s the plot.
Don’t Worry Darling follows Alice (Pugh), a beautiful housewife seemingly living the domestic dream: She’s married to Jack (Styles), for whom she cooks and cleans their spotless home while he’s off at work all day. But she has no idea what he does.
The couple is one of many in the Victory Project, a collection of people living together in a mid-century desert oasis. While the women stay home during the day, taking ballet classes, shopping, or caring for their children, the men go off to work, driving outside of the town into the desert, a place the wives are never allowed to go.
Alice and the other wives wonder what their husbands are doing all day, but they’re not supposed to ask, so they don’t — that is, until Alice sees a plane crash in the desert, racing after it to see if she can help and setting off a course of events that lead her to realize that the Victory Project is not as benevolent as it seems.
Having already starred in another <a href="https://www.imdb.com/title/tt8772262/">two-hour film about gaslighting</a>, Pugh excels as Alice. Her performance is extraordinary as always, and Styles’ isn’t terrible, though LaBeouf would have been a better fit for the role.
I won’t reveal the film’s final twists, but I will say that Don’t Worry Darling is a commentary on weak men and the problems that arise when they have only artificial and selfish outlets for embracing their masculinity. Jack and other men in his community revere Victory Project founder Frank, repeating his platitudes back to him and treating him like a god. It’s clear that they would do anything to win his approval, putting their wives and families second to their idol.
According to Wilde, the film is meant to be a commentary on the incel or involuntary celibate community, made up of men who feel entitled to women’s love. Really, the film could also be a commentary on any other form of women’s objectification, but all of this potential falls flat thanks to Wilde’s myopic mission.
In an interview released before the film came out, Wilde revealed that she based the film’s villain, Frank (Chris Pine), on <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/watch/jordan-peterson" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Jordan Peterson</a>. Yes, you read that right. At least you know you’re doing something correct when you literally become a Hollywood antagonist.
Wilde erroneously <a href="https://www.interviewmagazine.com/film/olivia-wilde-needs-to-be-in-charge">lumps</a> Peterson in with the incel movement, saying that Peterson “is someone that legitimizes certain aspects of their movement because he’s a former professor, he’s an author, he wears a suit, so they feel like this is a real philosophy that should be taken seriously.”
These incels who supposedly worship Peterson, Wilde says, “believe that society has now robbed them — that the idea of feminism is working against nature, and that we must be put back into the correct place.”
For his part, Peterson took the comparison in stride, <a href="https://nationalpost.com/news/exclusive-jordan-peterson-hits-back-at-director-olivia-wilde-over-this-insane-man-comments">saying</a> that Pine “has a reputation as quite an attractive man … so that could be worse.” But on a more serious note, if Peterson’s work does appeal to incels, it won’t coddle them. It will confront them.
Peterson continued in his statement that he has “repeatedly and very publicly” told young listeners that they should “think very hard about their own personal shortcomings and not the evil of the opposite sex, and that they should in consequence strive to amend themselves in the very ways that would make them attractive.”
It is odd that Wilde would set out to create a film about toxic masculinity and focus on a prominent thinker such as Peterson, while ignoring the likes of Andrew Tate and online figures who preach actual sexism to their fans. Perhaps what Wilde really takes issue with is Peterson’s support for traditional structures like the nuclear family.
If you take out the totalitarian control that governs the Victory Project, some of what it represents is actually pretty good: two-parent households, a tight-knit community, home-cooked meals, and mutual trust.
As one popular TikTok <a href="https://www.tiktok.com/@jenny_stark/video/7147781113178557742">video</a> put it, “living in this cute little house in a cute little neighborhood where my only job is to cook and clean for my husband Harry Styles while drinking as many cocktails as I want” is not a bad deal.
In picking Peterson as her villain, it seems like what Wilde really takes issue with is not the raging online sexists but the people who admire the values and institutions that aren’t trendy anymore: a marriage, a family, a community. You certainly wouldn’t want to find that in the Victory Project, but it’s not Western heritage that’s the villain. It’s the breakdown of exactly those traditional structures that leads to alienation, distrust, and supposed relief only in the dark corners of the internet.

Leonardo DiCaprio shocked the world by hanging out with Gigi Hadid, 27, although he has been mocked mercilessly for never dating a woman over the age of 25. The 47-year-old actor probably had something to prove to all his detractors. For him, even a gap of two decades is an improvement over a dating history filled with very young women.
But when it comes to Hollywood romances with huge age gaps, DiCaprio is hardly alone. Celebrities are notorious for going after much younger love interests, a practice that’s common with men but which some women have participated in as well.
<h3>Warren Beatty and Annette Bening – 21 years</h3>
One May-December love story that has stood the test of time is that of actor Warren Beatty, 85, and his wife of 30 years, Annette Bening, 64. The pair may have a 21 year age gap, but they’re largely considered a true Hollywood success story.
Bening <a href="https://parade.com/28108/jeannewolf/0503-annette-bening-mother-child/">told</a> Parade in 2010 that because she’s married to a much older person, &#8220;there are times you just have to address it because you&#8217;re at different stages of life.&#8221;
&#8220;You need a foundation of fundamental love and mutual respect and understanding,&#8221; she continued. &#8220;There are so many different kinds of relationships, so it&#8217;s sort of difficult to define what is considered normal. My husband and I have very similar backgrounds even though we&#8217;re years apart. So there are a lot of things that we basically share.&#8221;

Blake Lively is another beautiful blonde who took a turn dating DiCaprio, back when she was the young age of 24. Now the 35-year-old actress just announced she’s pregnant with her fourth child with husband and fellow actor Ryan Reynolds. The pair have been married since 2012.
Their age gap of 11 years is not the biggest on the list, but it is notable that the Canadian born actor has typically opted for younger women. His ex-wife Scarlett Johansson was 8 years his junior.
<h3>Olivia Wilde and Harry Styles – 10 years</h3>
Olivia Wilde is a full decade older than her current paramour Harry Styles. Wilde also has a lot more personal drama currently as she battles ex-fiance of 7 years Jason Sudeikis for custody of their two children. Styles also has a role in Wilde’s new film, “Don’t Worry, Darling,” which has caused even more controversy in the Hollywood community.
The couple began their relationship on the set of the film in 2020 and tried to keep it quiet but failed. Now they’re openly dating and ignoring that large age gap.
Back when he was cast in “Don’t Worry Darling, Wilde, 38, <a href="https://www.cosmopolitan.com/entertainment/celebs/a35181428/harry-styles-olivia-wilde-relationship-timeline/">said</a> of Styles, 28, 
“To me, he’s very modern, and I hope that this brand of confidence as a male that Harry has—truly devoid of any traces of toxic masculinity—is indicative of his generation and therefore the future of the world. I think he is in many ways championing that, spearheading that.”
“It’s pretty powerful and kind of extraordinary to see someone in his position redefining what it can mean to be a man with confidence,” she continued.
<h3>Catherine Zeta-Jones and Michael Douglas – 25 years</h3>
Rumors are circulating that Catherine Zeta-Jones, 52, and her husband of 22 years Michael Douglas, 77, have split. But so far nothing is confirmed.
The couple has one of the biggest age gaps in Hollywood but they’re also seen as a shining example of relationship goals. Zeta-Jones and Douglas have addressed their age difference before, if only to say it absolutely doesn’t matter to them.
“My husband is 25 years older than me; that’s not a secret. With any relationship, it wouldn’t be normal if there weren’t any ups and downs,” she <a href="https://www.wsj.com/articles/catherine-zeta-joness-dream-is-to-eat-nothing-but-desserts-for-the-rest-of-her-life-11617626213">told</a> The Wall Street Journal in 2021.
“The constant is love and respect. We’ve never, ever lost our sense of humor, and we enjoy each other’s company.”
<h3>Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas – 10 years</h3>
It doesn’t seem to bother musician Nick Jonas that his wife, Priyanka Chopra, was born a full decade before he was. Jonas, 30, and his 40-year-old wife even like to tease each other about it. They’ve been married since 2018.
“He showed me how to use TikTok, for example, you know, and I showed him what a successful acting career looks like,” Chopra quipped in 2021, per <a href="https://www.elle.com/culture/celebrities/a38361938/priyanka-chopra-nick-jonas-ten-year-age-gap-roast/">Elle</a>. “I&#8217;m from India, a country rich in culture, in music, in entertainment, so clearly the Jonas Brothers didn&#8217;t make it over there.”
And the jokes didn’t stop there. “One of the things I love about my husband is how much we have in common,” the actress also said. “You know, for instance, we&#8217;re both totally, completely, wholly obsessed — and I mean obsessed — with Nick Jonas. We love Nick Jonas, both of us! He&#8217;s our favorite.”
“I wouldn&#8217;t want to be married to anyone else, guys, I&#8217;m serious,” Chopra explained, per <a href="https://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-10241191/Priyanka-Chopra-jokes-marry-Chris-Hemsworth-suddenly-single.html?ns_mchannel=rss&amp;ns_campaign=1490&amp;ito=1490">Daily Mail</a>. ”Unless, of course, Chris Hemsworth suddenly became single. Might change things.”

Actor Alec Baldwin was a full-grown adult when his future wife, Hilaria, 38, was born. The pair wed in 2012.
Previously, the “30 Rock” actor was married to fellow actress Kim Basinger from 1993 until 2002.
Of their gap, Baldwin, 63, has said it’s been challenging especially when it comes to how they parent their six children.
“We do not always agree,” he <a href="https://www.today.com/parents/alec-baldwin-says-age-gap-wife-makes-them-parent-differently-t192052">told</a> Today in 2020 on the issue of raising kids. “My wife prevails, if you will, but we do not always agree because I&#8217;m still much older than my wife.”
“My goal wasn&#8217;t to marry a much younger woman,” Baldwin continued. “I met a woman I fell in love with and she was a unique person. &#8230; I come from a time, my dad was a very tough guy, and he would just look at you with that look. &#8230; We were terrified of my dad. He was a really tough guy. With me, my wife lectures me more than my children. My wife is like, &#8216;Don&#8217;t look at them like that, Alec! That look is not good.'&#8221;
&#8220;I hit the jackpot as far as that&#8217;s concerned, because I wound up having a lot of kids with a woman who&#8217;s a great mom,&#8221; he concluded.

So, the question of the day is: Why are women crazy?
I can’t be the only person reading the stories in the press right now. I know, according to the Chinese zodiac calendar, this is supposed to be the Year of the Dragon, but it feels like the &#8220;<a href="https://www.dailywire.com/episode/ep-3-how-to-spot-a-crazy-woman-2">Year of The Crazy Woman</a>.&#8221; It seems like women in America were pretending to be sane for a while &#8211; but now, they&#8217;re just going bonkers and it’s all being revealed.
First, there was Meghan Markle. Then, we covered Kim Kardashian who had us believing for two decades she was a victim. And who can forget &#8220;I&#8217;m so scared, I&#8217;m a victim&#8221; Amber Heard?
What do all of these women have in common? There are four main things to look for to spot a crazy woman:

<li style="font-weight: 400;" aria-level="1">She&#8217;s a feminist.</li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;" aria-level="1">She&#8217;s definitely a feminist.</li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;" aria-level="1">She over-utilizes the word &#8220;attack.&#8221;</li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;" aria-level="1">She&#8217;s in a lot of problematic relationships.</li>
</ol>
We can underscore the &#8220;Year of the Crazy Woman&#8221; by looking at another recent cultural example.
Take Olivia Wilde. What do you know about Olivia Wilde? Well, the first thing you need to know is that she is a feminist. Of course, like all good feminists, Wilde sometimes gets &#8220;attacked&#8221; by men — and she usually likes to get ‘attacked’ by men when she&#8217;s trying to further her career.
So, it was convenient for her that she was going through a separation with Jason Sudeikis while producing and directing her new movie “Don&#8217;t Worry, Darling.”
While on stage at CinemaCon, a processor served Wilde papers in public — which, by the way, has happened since the beginning of time. Processors know for a fact that celebrities will at one time or another be on a red carpet. But when it happens to Wilde, it is an &#8220;attack.&#8221; An &#8220;attack,&#8221; by the way, that can be used to promote her new movie. 
After receiving the child custody documents, Wilde gave this statement:
<blockquote>“It was my workplace. In any other workplace, it would be seen as an attack. It was really upsetting. It shouldn&#8217;t have been able to happen. There was a huge breach in security, which is really scary. The hurdles that you had to jump through to get into that room with several badges, plus special COVID tests that had to be taken days in advance, which gave you wristbands that were necessary to gain access to the event — this was something that required forethought.”</blockquote>
Yes, she&#8217;s under attack, and she was really scared — because these papers were handed to her in a professional manner. She&#8217;s not a special snowflake, though. This has happened many times to other celebrities in the past. But this time it happened to a woman who is — did I mention — a feminist?
Wilde goes on to say:
<blockquote>“I hated that this nastiness distracted from the work of so many different people and the studio that I was up there representing. To try to sabotage that was really vicious. But I had a job to do. I&#8217;m not easily distracted.”</blockquote>
Oh, wow. She is just so brave. What a brave feminist woman Olivia Wilde is.
Now, weigh this against the statement from Jason Sudeikis’s which sounds totally stable:
<blockquote>“Papers were drawn up to establish jurisdiction relating to the children of Ms. Wilde and Mr. Sudeikis. Mr. Sudeikis had no prior knowledge of the time or place that the envelope would have been delivered, as this would solely be up to the process service company involved and he would never condone her being served in such an inappropriate manner.”</blockquote>
Sudeikis went on to say the same thing, and it makes him sound like a normal person. Of course he had no idea where she was going to be served. This all created a very good reason for her to go to the press and portray herself as the victim so that people would buy tickets to her movie. (Which, by the way, everyone says kind of sucks.)
But that wasn&#8217;t enough. If you can take down one man to get press, what if you take down two?
At first, Shia LaBeouf was cast as the lead in “Don&#8217;t Worry, Darling” before Harry Styles was given the role. Nobody knew the reason LaBeouf eventually left the movie. But thanks to an interview with <a href="https://variety.com/2022/film/news/olivia-wilde-denies-shia-labeouf-quit-dont-worry-darling-1235364535/">Variety</a>, we all found out.
<blockquote>“I believe that creating a safe, trusting environment is the best way to get people to do their best work. Ultimately, my responsibility is to the production and to the cast to protect them.”</blockquote>
Wilde said she didn&#8217;t want LaBeouf to be there because she could never condone the kind of individual he is — because she&#8217;s a feminist. That was the implication.
Shia LaBeouf has publicly struggled with alcoholism and drugs for quite a long time and has even been admitted to treatment centers. Perhaps the most notorious accusations came from his former girlfriend FKA twigs when she filed a lawsuit against him for abuse. This was all public.
Olivia Wilde knew all of this and she saw it as an opportunity.
Since the public didn&#8217;t know exactly why LeBoeuf was no longer in the film, she was free to say whatever she wanted. Her statement to Variety heavily implied that she dropped him because she was a feminist and would never want to condone this sort of person being on her set. She even talked about the &#8216;ethos&#8217; on her set, and how he just didn’t fit the &#8220;ethos.&#8221;
And so, of course, the public believed her story, that is until Shia LaBeouf replied. He wrote a letter in response to her interview in Variety. Apparently, what she said just wasn&#8217;t true at all. LaBeouf shared an email thread and even released a video that she sent to him where she begs him to stay in the film.
Shia LaBeouf has struggled with addiction, but he&#8217;s clean now and proven he is a different man today than he was even three years ago.
For Olivia Wilde to use Shia LaBeouf’s struggles against him to promote her new film and make herself look like the victim illustrates how deep feminist toxicity can go.
These women are narcissistic, they are problematic, and they are women to avoid. We should not be putting them on a platform.

Actor <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/shia-labeouf" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Shia LaBeouf</a> is refusing to re-engage with director and actress <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/olivia-wilde" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Olivia Wilde</a> despite a second round of accusations from Wilde that she had to fire LaBeouf to keep the set of &#8220;<a href="https://www.dailywire.com/episode/new-olivia-wilde-movie-villain-inspired-by-jordan-peterson" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Don&#8217;t Worry Darling</a>&#8221; safe.
Representation for LaBeouf last month released an email he sent to Wilde asking the director to tell the truth about his exit from her film, specifically that he quit over a lack of rehearsal time and she did not fire him like Wilde has publicly stated. He also released text messages and a video reportedly dated August 19, 2020 of Wilde telling LaBeouf that she is not ready to &#8220;give up&#8221; on having the actor in her movie and seemingly pleading with him to come back and work out an issue with actress Florence Pugh.
&#8220;It is what it is — every blessing to her and her film,&#8221; LaBeouf <a href="https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/movies/movie-news/shia-labeouf-responds-to-olivia-wilde-dont-worry-darling-claims-1235214049/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">told</a> The Hollywood Reporter on Thursday, reacting to Wilde again claiming that she fired the actor.
Wilde this week said again she had to fire LaBeouf from &#8220;Don&#8217;t Worry, Darling&#8221; because the actor&#8217;s process was “not conducive to the ethos” and she didn&#8217;t want “a combative energy&#8221; on set.
“This issue is so much more nuanced than can be explained in private texts released out of context,&#8221; she <a href="https://www.vanityfair.com/hollywood/2022/09/cover-story-olivia-wilde-dont-worry-darling" target="_blank" rel="noopener">told</a> Vanity Fair. &#8220;All I’ll say is he was replaced, and there was no going forward with him. I wish him the best in his recovery.”
“I say this as someone who is such an admirer of his work. His process was not conducive to the ethos that I demand in my productions,&#8221; Wilde <a href="https://variety.com/2022/film/news/olivia-wilde-denies-shia-labeouf-quit-dont-worry-darling-1235364535/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">said</a> of LaBeouf last month. &#8220;He has a process that, in some ways, seems to require a combative energy, and I don’t personally believe that is conducive to the best performances. I believe that creating a safe, trusting environment is the best way to get people to do their best work. Ultimately, my responsibility is to the production and to the cast to protect them. That was my job.&#8221;
However, in a video LaBeouf&#8217;s reps suggest contradicts Wilde&#8217;s accusations, the director appeared to ask LaBeouf to make amends with Pugh and come back to the film.
“I feel like I’m not ready to give up on this yet, and I, too, am heartbroken and I want to figure this out,” Wilde <a href="https://www.thewrap.com/olivia-wilde-video-shia-labeouf-dont-worry-darling/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">says</a> in the video. “You know, I think this might be a bit of a wake-up call for Miss Flo, and I want to know if you’re open to giving this a shot with me, with us. If she really commits, if she really puts her mind and heart into it at this point and if you guys can make peace — and I respect your point of view, I respect hers — but if you guys can do it, what do you think? Is there hope? Will you let me know?”

Further, in an email LaBeouf sent to Wilde, the actor asserted, “You and I both know the reasons for my exit. I quit your film because your actors and I couldn’t find time to rehearse.”
&#8220;If lies are repeated enough in the public they become truth,&#8221; the &#8220;Padre Pio&#8221; actor wrote. &#8220;And so, it makes it that much harder for me to crawl out of the hole I have dug with my behaviors, to be able to provide for my family.&#8221;

But, speaking of my daughter, I often think about the news articles she will read when she is literate. And though I owe, and will owe for the rest of my life, I only owe for my actions.
My failings with Twigs are fundamental and real, but they are not the narrative that has been presented. There is a time and a place to deal with such things, and I am trying to navigate a nuanced situation with respect for her and the truth, hence my silence. But this situation with your film and my “firing” will never have a court date with which to deal with the facts. If lies are repeated enough in the public they become truth. And so, it makes it that much harder for me to crawl out of the hole I have dug with my behaviors, to be able to provide for my family.

It doesn’t take much to become a feminist hero.
Take, for example, Olivia Wilde. She’s currently being feted as one of the most talented people in Hollywood, despite the fact that her first film, Booksmart, was a box office dud, and her current effort, Don’t Worry Darling, is currently charting in at 39 percent on RottenTomatoes, despite the presence of two of the industry’s biggest stars, Harry Styles and Florence Pugh. Wilde herself began as a rather untalented actress – remember her woodenly stammering out lines on House? – but now she’s become something bigger: an Important Person.
We know she’s important because she talks about the sexism she experiences routinely. In 2014, she talked about <a href="https://www.glamour.com/story/olivia-wilde-talks-sexism-in-h">how difficult it was to get stories about women made.</a>
That must have come as a shock to literally every person who has ever seen more than one film or television show. The same year she complained about how hard it was to get films about women made, Alfonso Cuaron won an Oscar for directing Gravity, about a female astronaut.
But, you see, because Wilde is an Important Feminist Voice – and we know this because she keeps telling us, over and over again – this means she doesn’t have to act like a decent human being. As it turns out, Don’t Worry Darling is an off-screen disaster as well as an on-screen disappointment (it currently pulls a 39% fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes). The disaster began with Wilde lying about the former star of the movie, Shia Labeouf. She said in an interview:
“He has a process that, in some ways, seems to require a combative energy, and I don’t personally believe that is conducive to the best performances. I believe that creating a safe, trusting environment is the best way to get people to do their best work. Ultimately, my responsibility is to the production and to the cast to protect them. That was my job.”
She then dumped on him personally, claiming that she fired him because of allegations from his former girlfriend about emotional abuse, adding, “Particularly with a movie like this, I knew that I was going to be asking Florence to be in very vulnerable situations, and my priority was making her feel safe and making her feel supported.”
More feminist heroing! Except it wasn’t true: Labeouf released emails and texts showing he left the production because he didn’t have enough time to rehearse with the rest of the cast. Labeouf said, “Firing me never took place, Olivia. And while I fully understand the attractiveness of pushing that story because of the current social landscape, the social currency that brings. It is not the truth.”
The only true thing Wilde said, apparently, was that she was interested in making a safe, trusting environment on set. But not for Florence Pugh. For Harry Styles. She reportedly began making time with the star of her film pretty quickly after reaching the set. Of course, she was in a long-term relationship with Jason Sudeikis at the time; the couple had two children. In April 2022, <a href="https://deadline.com/2022/04/olivia-wilde-cinemacon-jason-sudeikis-legal-documents-ted-lasso-1235011446/">Sudeikis had her served with papers</a> while she was onstage doing press for her new film. 
All of this made Pugh rather upset, apparently. She reportedly was angry that Wilde had hooked up with Styles while Wilde was still with Sudeikis – and she was just as angry that Wilde and Styles were making out between takes. Sounds like true feminism heroism!
And herein lies the point: all it takes to be a feminist hero is to parrot a bunch of Left-wing talking points about how women are victims. You don’t actually have to help women or be a good person or anything like that.
Take, as case study #2, Hillary Clinton. She’s back at it with a new series on Apple TV called Gutsy. From the trailer, it appears that the Hillary-produced, Hillary-starring docuseries is about Hillary’s heroism. Promoting her new film, she told CBS News’ Norah O’Donnell that her gutsiest decision was sticking with Bill Clinton:

Was that even gutsier than allegedly threatening Juannita Broaddrick, who says Bill Clinton raped her? Here’s Broaddrick describing the gutsy feminist heroine:

But again, Hillary says she’s a victim of the patriarchy, so we must take her at her word.
Or take Meghan Markle, a C-list actress who became a princess by marrying into the British Royal Family – and who now says that she’s a victim of racism and sexism. She accused unnamed members of the Royal Family of bigotry, saying that they asked her about the prospective skin color of her child; she blamed the Royal Family for her decision to take Prince Harry to the United States and re-enter the entertainment industry. She’s a feminist hero, too, even though she’s apparently a rather wretched person. She recently likened herself to Nelson Mandela by proxy. Here’s the story she told The Cut:
“She recalls a moment from the 2019 London premiere of the live-action version of The Lion King. “I just had Archie. It was such a cruel chapter. I was scared to go out.” A cast member from South Africa pulled her aside. “He looked at me, and he’s just like light. He said, ‘I just need you to know: When you married into this family, we rejoiced in the streets the same we did when Mandela was freed from prison.’ ”
Sure, she’s rather terrible. But she’s certainly a feminist! Here she was in 2019:

The same holds true for our vaunted male feminists, too. Being a male feminist is an incredible way of hiding your own sexism and evil, as it turns out. Harvey Weinstein was an avid feminist – joining the Women’s March, talking up Gloria Steinem, and all the rest. That didn’t change the fact that he was a terrible sexual predator.
No one’s politics should buy them out of simple decency. But as long as you’re on the Left, you can get away with it for a pretty damned long time.

Mikhaila Peterson mocked actress <a href="https://dailywire.com/news/director-olivia-wilde-upset-booksmart-lesbian-hookup-scene-cut-from-airline-screenings/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Olivia Wilde&#8217;s</a> claim that the villain in her new movie, “Don&#8217;t Worry Darling,” was based on her father — renowned psychologist and author <a href="https://dailywire.com/news/jordan-peterson-why-i-joined-dailywire/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Jordan B. Peterson</a>.
The Canadian podcast host shared a video of herself responding to the news — complete with a FaceTime call to her father for his reaction — that Wilde had referred to him as, among other things, a “pseudo-intellectual” and “king of the incels.”

“‘Don&#8217;t Worry Darling’ has been based off of my dad because apparently he&#8217;s ‘king of the incels,’” Peterson&#8217;s video began, and she went on to read a headline from Rolling Stone: “Chris Pine&#8217;s ‘Don&#8217;t Worry Darling’ Character Inspired By Incel ‘Hero’ Jordan Peterson.”
“Frank was partly based on this insane man, Jordan Peterson, who is this pseudo-intellectual hero to the incel community,” she read on.
“Incel,” an abbreviation that means “involuntarily celibate,” describes a mostly online subculture of people who define themselves as unable to find a romantic partner — and typically blame the subset of people from whom that desired partner might come. A male heterosexual incel, for example, would blame all women when his attempts to attract a woman were unsuccessful.
“My dad is not pro-incel,” Mikhaila continued, splicing in a clip of her father speaking on the subject.
“So you&#8217;re a young man and all the women are rejecting you,” Jordan Peterson said in the clip. “Who&#8217;s got the problem? It&#8217;s not all the women. That&#8217;s a bad road to go down. If all the women are rejecting you, it&#8217;s you —”
As the clip wrapped up, however, Mikhaila&#8217;s phone began to buzz — and as luck would have it, her father was on the line and she was able to share the news with him.
“I&#8217;ve got hilarious news, almost as good as Red Skull,” she said as they connected via FaceTime. “You have been written in as the villain to Olivia Wilde&#8217;s new movie.”
Mikhaila went on to read the description aloud to her father, whose reaction was immediate.
“Wow!” he exclaimed. “I am the highest cited psychologist in the department at the University of Toronto by a large margin.”
“So ‘pseudo-intellectual’ isn&#8217;t how you would be described?” Mikhaila replied.
Daily Wire Editor Emeritus Ben Shapiro summed the situation up in a simple tweet: “Olivia Wilde doesn&#8217;t like Jordan Peterson. Which may be the best Jordan Peterson endorsement I have ever heard.”

Superstar Harry Styles&#8217; appearance at the Venice Film Festival is making headlines after video surfaced online that some have suggested appeared to show the singer spitting on Chris Pine at the premiere of their film.
In a video that circulated on Twitter Monday, the 28-year-old English singer walked into the theater before footage from the premiere of <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/celebrities">Olivia Wilde&#8217;s</a> &#8220;Don&#8217;t Worry Darling&#8221; started. In the audience was Wilde sitting next to Pine. Then next to him was an open seat.
In the clip, we see <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/harry-styles-i-have-no-idea-what-im-doing-when-it-comes-to-acting">Styles</a> walk out, lean slightly over Pine, and sit down next to him. In the next shot, Pine stopped clapping, looked down at his lap, grinned, and then picked up the sunglasses in his lap. It is unclear if Wilde saw what allegedly occurred, as she was clapping for the British star and looking up at the audience at the time.

Despite the speculation and video, a source close to the situation told <a href="https://www.eonline.com/news/1344958/why-fans-are-convinced-harry-styles-spat-on-chris-pine-at-dont-worry-darlings-venice-premiere">E! News</a> that it didn&#8217;t happen.
&#8220;Harry did not spit on Chris and there is nothing but respect between the two,&#8221; the source shared. Nonetheless, the hashtag &#8220;#Spitgate&#8221; has surfaced.
A short time later, a rep for Pine released a statement to <a href="https://people.com/movies/chris-pine-harry-styles-spitting-viral-video-ridiculous-claim-dont-worry-darling-exclusive/">People magazine.</a>
&#8220;This is a ridiculous story — a complete fabrication and the result of an odd online illusion that is clearly deceiving and allows for foolish speculation,&#8221; the representative for the actor shared.
&#8220;Just to be clear, Harry Styles did not spit on Chris Pine,&#8221; the rep added. &#8220;There is nothing but respect between these two men and any suggestion otherwise is a blatant attempt to create drama that simply does not exist.&#8221;
IMDb&#8217;s description of &#8220;Don&#8217;t Worry Darling&#8221; <a href="https://www.imdb.com/title/tt10731256/?ref_=nv_sr_srsg_1">reads</a>, &#8220;A 1950s housewife living with her husband in a utopian experimental community begins to worry that his glamorous company may be hiding disturbing secrets.&#8221;
It was just the latest drama to hit Wilde&#8217;s film, which has been in the news lately. Fans have been speculating that Wilde and Styles are <a href="https://www.hitc.com/en-gb/2022/09/06/harry-styles-and-olivia-wilde-split-rumours-swirl-amid-venice-film-festival/">no longer dating</a>, following a lack of interaction at various promotional events for her film at the festival.
Other eagle-eyed fans noticed that Wilde and one of the stars of her film, Florence Pugh, never made eye contact during the standing ovation following the premiere, E! News noted.
The alleged drama between the two actresses stems from the speculation of a feud between the two regarding reports the &#8220;Black Widow&#8221; star was reportedly paid less than Styles for her part in the film.
However, Wilde has shut down speculation and said there had been a lot out there, adding that she ignores it, <a href="https://variety.com/2022/film/features/olivia-wilde-harry-styles-sex-scenes-dont-worry-darling-1235347929/">Variety</a> noted.
&#8220;But the absurdity of invented clickbait and subsequent reaction regarding a nonexistent pay disparity between our lead and supporting actors really upset me,&#8221; the 38-year-old actress explained.
&#8220;I&#8217;m a woman who has been in this business for over 20 years, and it&#8217;s something that I have fought for myself and others, especially being a director,&#8221; she added. &#8221; There is absolutely no validity to those claims.&#8221;

Oscar season is back, even if an increasing number of Americans no longer care about the annual ceremony.
The awards gala deserves all the disdain coming its way, but the movie awards season shouldn’t be dismissed so easily. Some of our brightest filmmakers save their best wares for this time of year, and despite the industry’s woke makeover, the season still delivers some stirring work.
And, in between, a few popcorn blockbusters elbow themselves into the conversation.
Will this fall top last year’s mediocre lineup? Just how much will Identity Politics and other progressive lectures infiltrate the so-called best and brightest fare? The following films hold the key.
“Honk for Jesus, Save Your Soul” (September 2, in theaters and Peacock)
Hollywood loves mocking Christianity in any way, shape, or form. It can come via genre fare (“The Purge” franchise) or Oscar-bait films like last year’s “The Eyes of Tammy Faye”).
This year’s entry stars Sterling K. Brown and Regina Hall as fallen televangelists trying to rebuild their spiritual kingdom. Does the film grant its broken characters some humanity? Will the screenplay discern solid Christian souls from those eager to swindle their brethren? We’ll see, but a strong theatrical debut could help its Oscar chances.
“God’s Country” (September 16)
This could be the season’s version of “The Hunt,” deliberately poking the “two Americas” bear, or just another progressive screed against Red State USA. Thandie Newton stars as a black professor who runs afoul of two white hunters.
Newton’s film proves subversive in the best sense of the word, acknowledging stereotypes before upending them. Unfortunately, the early reviews from its Sundance Film Festival run suggest a picture that plays down to our expectations. The film “punches up,” critics say, delivering a “bleep you” to the patriarchy.
“See How They Run” (September 16)
The “They Don’t Make ‘em Like This Anymore” crowd could be in for a treat. Oscar winner Sam Rockwell and future winner Saoirse Ronan (would anyone deny that prediction?) star as detectives in ‘50s era London solving a theatrical murder mystery. The comic romp features a great supporting troupe including David Oyelowo, Adrien Brody, and “The Affair’s” Ruth Wilson.
“Don’t Worry Darling” (September 23)
Olivia Wilde proved her directorial bona fides with 2019’s “Booksmart,” which was both absurdly woke and undeniably fun. This time ‘round, she’s playing in one of Hollywood’s favorite sandboxes, the 1950s, eager to show the decade’s glossy exterior didn’t match reality.
Again.
Harry Styles and Florence Pugh headline this psychological drama, which given the era must leave most of Wilde’s woke tics behind. Right?
“Blonde” (September 28, Netflix)
Let’s hope the hype doesn’t overshadow the movie. We’ve already read far too much about “Blonde,” from the casting of Cuban starlet Ana de Armas as Marilyn Monroe to the buzz about that NC-17 rating. The bigger question is obvious. What’s left to be said about the doomed superstar, one whose iconic beauty has powered countless tributes?
We’ve seen Marilyn Monroe depicted many times already, most recently in the sturdy 2011 drama “My Week with Marilyn,” that there’s seemingly little fresh ground to till. The same could have been said of “Elvis,” but Baz Luhrmann’s summer hit showed a fresh appetite for the rock icon.
“Bros” (September 30)
Comedy is on life support at the theatrical level, at least the bawdy, R-rated romps we once knew and loved. Director Nicholas Stoller of “Forgetting Sarah Marshall” fame tries to revive that genre with “Bros,” a gay rom-com starring far-left comic actor Billy Eichner.
Eichner falls for a muscular singleton (Luke MacFarlane) amidst a sea of LGTBQ+ trappings, according to the disappointing trailer. Dethroned comedy king Judd Apatow is on hand as a producer, but the cultural guardrails around humor in the modern era could keep “Bros” from reaching beyond its target audience.
“Amsterdam” (October 7)
Some of our most talented directors take their sweet time between projects. Think Quentin Tarantino, the late Stanley Kubrick and “Amsterdam” auteur David O. Russell of “American Hustle“ fame. He’s assembled a truly all-star cast (Christian Bale, Margot Robbie, Chris Rock Mike Myers, Robert De Niro, John David Washington and Michael Shannon) for an ensemble drama centered on soldiers caught up in a murder plot.
“Halloween Ends” (October 14 in theaters and Peacock)
Danny McBride and David Gordon Green delivered a mostly satisfying “Halloween” do-over in 2018, and then followed it up with “Halloween Kills,” the kind of brain-dead sequel that’s all too familiar to horror fans.
Here, the Michael Myers saga is supposed to wrap (as if the industry wouldn’t think of bringing The Shape back in some form). Jamie Lee Curtis makes what should be her swan song in the film, overseen by original “Halloween” director John Carpenter.
“Halloween Kills” showed way too much of Michael Myers. Can “Ends” bring back the sense of awe and mystery, or is that impossible in our short attention span times?
“Till” (October 14)
The suffering and death of Emmett Till are the stuff of American nightmares. The 14-year-old’s death at the hands of unabashed racists is made for a theatrical re-enactment, but the subject matter simultaneously demands the utmost restraint.
As is, the horror story needs no embellishment. Will the filmmakers turn Till’s tragedy into a referendum on race circa 2022? The focus here, and rightly so, is on the boy’s mother. She engaged the ‘50s era system seeking justice, and her journey could yield Oscar-worthy results. Danielle Deadwyler gets the plum assignment of bringing Mamie Till-Mobley to life.
“Black Adam” (October 21)  

Dwayne Johnson has played so many super heroic figures it’s a shock he’s never gone the full Superman until now. “Black Adam” arrives with plenty of fanfare along with the sense that the culture is getting a little bored of grown-ups in tights. Can Johnson bring some vitality to the genre, or will “Black Adam” ding the DC comic’s uneven universe? Just know that Johnson’s caped figure isn’t one of the good guys. The “Black” in Black Adam refers to his soul, Johnson <a href="https://www.vanityfair.com/hollywood/2022/08/who-is-black-adam">clarified</a> to Vanity Fair.
“Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” (November 11)
How do you make a “Black Panther” sequel without the titular hero? Director Ryan Coogler stared that question down after the film’s celebrated star Chadwick Boseman died in 2020.
The story behind the sequel, co-written by Coogler, is mostly under wraps. Boseman’s fellow cast mates return, including Letitia Wright, Angela Bassett and Lupita Nyong’o. We’ll also meet Sub Mariner (Tenoch Huerta) and Ironheart (Dominique Thorne), the black female heroine tied to Tony Stark’s iron legacy (and headed for her own Disney+ series).
“She Said” (November 18)
Journalism films have taken on a new, depressing flavor in the modern era. Do we really want to celebrate such a corrupt profession that often slavishly follows the Democratic playbook?
“She Said” can’t fix that problem, but the story follows two journalists who did their jobs so well they helped bring down one of Hollywood’s true supervillains.
Based on the memoir “She Said: Breaking the Sexual Harassment Story That Helped Ignite a Movement,” the film tracks New York Times journalists Megan Twohey (Carey Mulligan) and Jodi Kantor (Zoe Kazan) as they get the goods on producer Harvey Weinstein.
It’s only a movie, but let’s hope “She Said” at least touches on Hollywood’s culpability in Weinstein’s crimes (they knew) and how Hollywood reporters suspected his misconduct but didn’t pursue it.
“The Fabelmans” (November 23)
Steven Spielberg remains the most vital filmmaker of our era with a body of work that speaks for itself. His latest film finds him recalling his formative years, a time that convinced an Arizona lad to pick up a film camera and never let go.
The semi-autobiographical film co-stars Seth Rogen, Michelle Williams, and Judd Hirsch. Young Gabriel LaBelle gets the nod to play young Spielberg, here named Sammy Fabelman.
“Avatar: The Way of Water” (December 16)
It’s finally here. Director James Cameron follows up his 2009 smash with the first of four planned sequels. The first film doubled as an eco-lecture, and there’s little evidence Cameron’s eco-hypocrisy will stop him from wagging his finger at us anew.
Few filmmakers can get away with that brand of storytelling like Cameron, though. With classic films like “The Terminator,” “Aliens,” and “Titanic” under his Oscar-approved belt, can anyone dismiss an “Avatar” sequel out of hand?
Then again, the self-described “King of the World” is due for a mighty fall.
