On Friday, the Oil Minister of Iran <a href="https://www.jpost.com/international/article-851626?utm_source=jpost.app.apple&amp;utm_medium=share" target="_blank" rel="noopener">announced</a> that Russia would fund the construction of a new nuclear plant in Iran.
“Iran and Russia will continue their cooperation in the peaceful use of nuclear energy and the construction of new nuclear energy facilities and the completion of phases two and three of the Bushehr power plant using Moscow’s credit line,” Iranian Oil Minister Mohsen Paknejad <a href="https://www.algemeiner.com/2025/04/25/russia-fund-new-nuclear-power-plant-iran-bilateral-ties-deepen-amid-us-talks/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">said</a>. “Multilateral cooperation between Iran and Russia through membership in the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, BRICS, the Gas Exporting Countries Forum, and OPEC+ has led to the provision of common interests, peace, stability, and international security, and I am confident that this cooperation will deepen.”
“Earlier this week, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a law officially ratifying a <a href="https://www.algemeiner.com/2025/04/22/russia-ratifies-strategic-partnership-iran-strengthening-military-ties/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">20-year strategic partnership agreement with Tehran</a>, further deepening their military cooperation,” the Algemeiner reported.
In January, Russia signed a strategic partnership treaty with Iran, which <a href="https://irangov.ir/detail/456479" target="_blank" rel="noopener">stated</a>, “The Contracting Parties shall confirm their commitment to develop military-technical cooperation.”
In 2007, Russia sent 80 tons of uranium fuel to Iran to help the Islamist dictatorship build a nuclear reactor in Bushehr. Russia stood to gain $1 billion, since the plant was to be constructed by the Russian state-owned Atomstroyexport.
Russia’s ties with the terrorist group Hamas, which acts as a proxy for Iran, run deep; roughly two weeks after the Hamas massacre of more than 1,200 people in Israel in October 2023, the Wall Street Journal <a href="https://www.wsj.com/finance/currencies/garantex-russian-crypto-hamas-crime-sanctions-a3648357" target="_blank" rel="noopener">reported</a> that a Moscow-based crypto exchange, Garantex, acted as a conduit for illicit funds for Palestinian terrorists involved in the October 7 massacre to finance their operations. “Digital wallets controlled by Palestinian Islamic Jihad, which joined Hamas in the attacks, received a portion of $93 million via Garantex, according to analysis by researcher Elliptic, which said Hamas also used a similar financing strategy.”
“Russia has been actively engaged in expanding security and military ties with the Houthis, including providing weapons to the organization,” The Jamestown Foundation <a href="https://jamestown.org/program/russias-increases-ties-with-irans-axis-of-resistance/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">reported</a> in November 2024. “Media reports indicate that Russian intelligence officers were spotted in the Houthis-held territory, and Moscow has even considered sending significant military support to the Iran-backed militia (<a href="https://www.iranintl.com/en/202409256862" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Iran International</a>, September 25).”
“The <a href="https://uscode.house.gov/view.xhtml?path=/prelim@title22/chapter95&amp;edition=prelim" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Iran Freedom and Counterproliferation Act of 2013</a> prohibits the ‘sale, supply or transfer of certain materials to and from Iran related to the regime’s nuclear, military, and ballistic missile programs and allows the president to submit sanctions waivers every 180 days containing exemptions based on national security reasons,” the Foundation for Defense of Democracies <a href="https://www.fdd.org/analysis/policy_briefs/2025/01/22/russia-touts-illicit-nuclear-work-in-iran/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">reported</a> in January. “Absent a waiver, the president is obliged to sanction foreign individuals and financial institutions that violate the act.&#8221;
The Obama administration issued waivers for certain Russian nuclear work in Iran as part of the 2015 nuclear deal, and upon taking office, the first Trump administration <a href="https://apnews.com/us-clamps-down-on-waivers-tied-to-irans-nuclear-cooperation-ef68a5ccab2f3e0b2247e0ebeda37147" target="_blank" rel="noopener">ended</a> U.S. participation in the agreement and the waivers. The Biden administration <a href="https://www.reuters.com/world/middle-east/biden-administration-restores-sanctions-waiver-iran-talks-final-phase-2022-02-04/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">restored</a> the waivers soon after taking office to help restart Iran talks.

Iran has dramatically increased its stockpile of enriched uranium in recent months following President Donald Trump&#8217;s election victory, according to a confidential report from the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).
The Islamic regime has increased its stockpile of 60% enriched uranium — which is near the weapons-grade threshold of 90% — from 182 kilograms in late October to 275 kilograms as of early February, The Wall Street Journal <a href="https://www.wsj.com/world/middle-east/iran-has-enough-highly-enriched-uranium-for-six-nuclear-weapons-07e6a0bd">reported</a>.
The surge in production of enriched uranium represents a 51%+ increase in just a little over three months.
Iran can further enrich that uranium to the 90% threshold needed to create a nuclear weapon in just a matter of days if it seeks to break out and build a nuclear weapon. With the amount of nuclear material the regime has, it could build at least six nuclear weapons.
Andrea Stricker, Nonproliferation and Biodefense Program Deputy Director and Research Fellow at the Foundation for the Defense of Democracies (FDD), told The Daily Wire that the Trump administration should &#8220;seek a resolution penalizing Iran&#8217;s nuclear advances and continued violations of its safeguards obligations at next week&#8217;s IAEA Board of Governors meeting.&#8221;
&#8220;Such a resolution must provide a deadline for Tehran&#8217;s compliance and note that the United States and its allies will refer Iran&#8217;s case to the UN Security Council for the re-imposition of suspended UN sanctions, or &#8216;snapback,&#8217; prior to the October expiration of the snapback mechanism and sunset of all prior UN Iran resolutions,&#8221; Stricker said.
Stricker added: &#8220;If the Trump administration chooses to negotiate with the regime in Tehran, any deal that does not dismantle and disarm Iran&#8217;s enrichment, weaponization, and missile-delivery programs will not be worth the paper it is written on.&#8221;
The Telegraph <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/iran-on-high-alert-over-potential-strike-by-u-s-israel-on-nuclear-sites">reported</a> on Tuesday that multiple high-level government sources confirmed to the publication that Iran has changed the preparedness level for its defense systems in response to fears that an attack is imminent.
The Islamic regime, which is the world’s leading state sponsor of terrorism, is increasing its defenses around the nuclear facilities, including the deployment of anti-aircraft launchers.
“They [Iranian authorities] are just waiting for the attack and are anticipating it every night and everything has been on high alert – even in sites that no one knows about,” one source told The Telegraph. “Work to fortify nuclear sites has been ongoing for years but it has intensified over the past year, particularly since Israel launched the first attack.”
Trump’s victory in November has only “further intensified the activities,” the source added.
The Iranian official who spoke to The Telegraph said there are serious fears in the country now that the United States could join Israel’s likely forthcoming strike, thus making it much larger and putting “the Islamic Republic’s existence in danger.”
The Wall Street Journal reported earlier this month that analysis from both the Biden and Trump administrations has concluded that Israel is likely to carry out a strike on Iran’s nuclear facilities this year as it looks to take maximal advantage of Iran’s weakened state.
Officials familiar with the report said that it indicated Israel believes President Donald Trump is far more likely to support its decision to take out the nuclear sites than former President Joe Biden.
The United States military believes that it would need to supply specific munitions for the strike, given that one of the facilities is buried under a mountain and the United States is the only country in the world that has powerful enough bunker-buster bombs to reach it.

A massive fire that broke out over the weekend at a factory in Iran is reportedly linked to the country&#8217;s nuclear program, raising suspicions that the fire was an act of sabotage.
Iran International <a href="https://www.iranintl.com/en/202410142621">reported</a> that the fire, which was not widely reported outside Iran, erupted in the Shadabad iron market in Tehran.
Israeli intelligence research center Intelli Times said that the fire “consumed two metal factories that were engaged in the production of chips for parts of centrifuges and valves that can be used by Iran&#8217;s nuclear industry.”
The report said that the damage from the fire was cross-referenced with satellite images of the industrial area and maps identifying the companies located at the facilities.

One company that was burned down provides &#8220;engineering design and engraving services for the production of centrifugal compressors and valves,&#8221; while the other company that was burned down manufactured valves and pipes for the gas industry.
The valves and pipes can also be used by the nuclear industry to support uranium conversion and enrichment plants, the report said.

&#8220;Israel reportedly not targeting Iranian nuclear sites in upcoming counter-strike may simply mean no aerial bombing,&#8221; she said. &#8220;Supply chain facilities mysteriously catching fire, exploding, sudden unexplained damage, might be a different story.&#8221;
Israel has a long history of <a href="https://www.fdd.org/analysis/2020/07/13/iran-could-face-a-summer-of-nuclear-sabotage/">sabotaging</a> and destroying Iranian nuclear facilities, including in the area where the fire broke out over the weekend.
Earlier this year, news broke that Iran <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/iran-covered-up-covert-israeli-operation-that-destroyed-secret-iranian-nuclear-facility">covered up</a> a covert Israeli operation in July 2020 that resulted in the destruction of an Iranian nuclear facility that was kept secret from international atomic regulators.
Iran International discovered the incident after sifting through millions of documents from Iran’s judiciary and the Ministry of Intelligence that were stolen by hackers.
The publication stumbled upon a case in which nine defendants were charged with “confrontation with the Islamic government,” “sabotage,” “destruction of one of the Atomic Energy Organization’s devices,” “acts against national security through cooperation with Israel,” and possession of firearms and drugs.
An anonymous person claiming to be a disgruntled creditor contacted three brothers and asked them to hire a team of criminals to set the secret atomic workshop on fire. The brothers, who hired six additional cohorts, were paid 2.7 billion rials ($10,000 at the time) and told they would be paid more if they destroyed the facility by setting it on fire and filming it.
The nine defendants stormed the facility in an old neighborhood in southwestern Tehran with weapons, tied up the guard, and destroyed at least some of the equipment inside, the report said.
The attack “became one of the most significant national security issues in Iran, with reports reaching Ali Khamenei, the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic,” the report said.
All nine defendants were arrested within a month and were accused of acting on behalf of Israel’s Institute for Intelligence and Special Operations, commonly known as Mossad.
The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) says that it was never alerted by Iran to the existence of the facility, a clear violation of international law.
One of the puzzling aspects of the case was that Khamenei ordered harsh punishments for those behind the attack, and yet the most severe sentence handed down was only 10 years, while some got as few as just four years.
Iran routinely executes those who are accused of spying or acting on behalf of Israel or the United States.
A former member of Iran’s Parliament who has extensive knowledge of Iran’s nuclear activities told Iran International: “I am almost familiar with all the nuclear activities of the Islamic Republic and have often seen these centers up close, but I have never heard of such facilities in the Shadabad area. Considering that the Ministry of Intelligence and the judiciary believe this incident was the work of Israel, we are definitely talking about an important workshop.”

The <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/iran" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Islamic Republic of Iran</a> continues to push forward with a secret underground nuclear facility located south of the Natanz Fuel Enrichment Plant, according to newly released satellite imagery.
The Institute for Science and International Security compared the new images that were taken earlier this year with previous satellite images of the construction site at Kolang Gaz La mountain from 2022 and 2023.
&#8220;The site is slated to hold a new, large, advanced centrifuge assembly facility that replaces the Iranian Centrifuge Assembly Center (ICAC) destroyed in an attack in July 2020,&#8221; the report <a href="https://isis-online.org/uploads/isis-reports/documents/Continued_Construction_at_Natanz_Kolang_Gaz_La_Tunnel_Complex_March_25_2024_Final.pdf" target="_blank" rel="noopener">said</a>. &#8220;Iran is apparently determined to make the new facility harder to destroy. In fact, the tunnel complex is more deeply buried than the Fordow underground enrichment plant, with more entrances and no apparent ventilation shaft, making it harder to destroy than Fordow and certainly harder than a surface facility.&#8221;
The report added that Iran appears to have completed the construction of the tunnels and is now working on &#8220;construction inside the tunnel complex, likely related to the finishing of the underground rooms.&#8221;
Iran is further breaking international laws by refusing to comply with its obligations &#8220;under modified Code 3.1 of its comprehensive safeguards agreement (CSA) to declare new nuclear facilities such as uranium enrichment plants in the design phase, and continued lack of full cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA),&#8221; the report added.
Rebeccah Heinrichs, senior fellow at Hudson Institute and the director of its Keystone Defense Initiative, slammed President Joe Biden&#8217;s appeasement of the Iranian regime in a statement to The Daily Wire.
&#8220;There could not be a U.S. team more eager to placate the Iran regime than this White House, and the approach has only encouraged the regime to become more belligerent, more dangerous, and willing to advance its illicit nuclear program,&#8221; she said. &#8220;We are running out of time to overhaul this Middle East strategy. Iran cannot be permitted to finish this site.&#8221;

Iran Covered Up Covert Israeli Operation That Destroyed Secret Iranian Nuclear Facility

The <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/department-of-defense" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Department of Defense’s</a> (DOD) current nuclear weapons management presents a major risk to national security, per the latest Government Accountability Office (GAO) report.
The GAO <a href="https://www.gao.gov/products/gao-24-106735?utm_campaign=usgao_email&amp;utm_content=topic_natldefense&amp;utm_medium=email&amp;utm_source=govdelivery" target="_blank" rel="noopener">report</a>, published on Thursday, found that the DOD has failed to resolve many oversight issues since 2021. The GAO — Congress’ auditing, evaluation, and investigative arm — also noted that problematic discontinuity in nuclear oversight structure began in the final week of the Trump administration.
“DOD has significantly modified its nuclear enterprise oversight structure multiple times since 2021, putting oversight continuity at risk and potentially affecting senior leaders’ ability to make informed decisions,” stated the GAO.
It was on January 14, 2021, six days before President Joe Biden took office, that Acting Secretary of Defense Chris Miller replaced the Nuclear Deterrent Enterprise Review Group (NDERG), which had addressed issues from nuclear enterprise reviews since 2014, with another group: the Secretary of Defense Nuclear Transition Review (SNTR). DOD then replaced the SNTR with another group last year: the Deputy’s Management Action Group (DMAG).
In an August 2021 <a href="https://www.gao.gov/products/gao-21-486" target="_blank" rel="noopener">report</a> on SNTR, the GAO expressed concern that the group lacked specific roles and responsibilities, as well as procedures for internal and external communications.
Out of GAO’s three recommendations at the time, DOD has only implemented one: providing guidance to ensure the progress toward or completion of 2014 nuclear enterprise review recommendations. 
In a related January 2022 <a href="https://www.gao.gov/products/gao-22-104061" target="_blank" rel="noopener">report</a>, the GAO issued four additional recommendations concerning DOD coordination with the Department of Energy (DOE), the agency responsible for the nuclear weapons modernization and infrastructure. None of these recommendations have been met.
In its latest report, the GAO again <a href="https://www.gao.gov/assets/d24106735.pdf" target="_blank" rel="noopener">urged</a> the DOD to take up its unmet recommendations over the years: to clarify roles and responsibilities of oversight organizations; establish methods of communication and collaboration among oversight organizations; prioritize programs, projects, and activities within the nuclear enterprise; and monitor issues affecting the nuclear enterprise.
DOD’s oversight issues were identified as part of GAO’s review of the DOD’s nuclear triad modernization efforts. The nuclear triad are the land, sea, and air nuclear weapons that make up the nation’s deterrence system, all of which are decades past their planned service life.
The DOD estimates that modernization of the nuclear defense systems would cost about $350 billion over the next 20 years.
The land leg, intercontinental ballistic missiles (ICBMs), currently consists of Minuteman III, a system nearly 50 years past its planned service life. The Minuteman III system is scheduled to be replaced by the Sentinel missile system in 2030.
The sea leg, ballistic missile submarines (SSBNs), currently consists of the Ohio-class submarines originally designed in the 1970s to last 30 years. The DOD extended those SSBNs’ service life to 42 years, and is scheduled to replace them with the Columbia-class SSBNs beginning in 2027.
The GAO issued a <a href="https://www.gao.gov/products/gao-23-106292" target="_blank" rel="noopener">report</a> in January on the Columbia-class SSNBs with six recommendations on conducting a schedule risk analysis. None of these recommendations have been met.
The air leg, bomber planes, currently consists of the B-52 and B-2 bombers, the former in operation since the 1950s and the latter in operation since the 1990s. The B-52 bombers are anticipated to last through the 2050s with modifications — though the GAO stressed greater urgency in accomplishing modernization — while the B-2 bombers are scheduled to be replaced by the B-21 bombers sometime within the next few years.

White House National Security Council spokesperson <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/john-kirby" target="_blank" rel="noopener">John Kirby</a> refused to say this week that nuclear war is more dangerous to humanity than climate change.
Kirby made the remarks, or a lack thereof, during an interview on Fox News with Martha MacCallum as war rages in Europe between Russia and Ukraine and has exploded in the Middle East as Iranian-backed Islamic terrorist groups launched an unprecedented terrorist attack against Israel.
MacCallum asked Kirby about recent remarks from President Joe Biden on the topic.

JOHN KIRBY: Absolutely he does. Climate change is an existential threat. It could, it actually threatens, is capable wiping out all human life on earth over time. I mean, that&#8217;s, I don&#8217;t know how more existential you can get to that. But that doesn&#8217;t mean that we walk away from our obligations, our national security interests in very dangerous parts of the world.
MACCALLUM: But John, he said it was more frightening than a nuclear war. It&#8217;s more frightening than a nuclear war in this moment?
KIRBY: The President believes wholeheartedly that climate change is an existential threat to all the human life on the planet. That&#8217;s just science. That&#8217;s a fact, Martha. But it doesn&#8217;t mean that we turn our back on the other challenges facing this country and our allies and partners around the world. We&#8217;ve got broad national security commitments, literally globally. And we&#8217;ve got to mind all of them at the same time. You mentioned two of them. Obviously, Israel right now, certainly Ukraine over the last almost two years now. We are big enough and powerful enough and effective enough nation to be able to look after all these disparate national security threats and one of them absolutely is climate change.</blockquote>

The second volume of Prager University’s Master&#8217;s Program is coming to DailyWire+.
The series, hosted by Dennis Prager, founder of PragerU, offers a deep dive into several of the most pressing issues facing the United States, exploring central facets of the human condition.
The newest episode, ‘<a href="https://www.dailywire.com/episode/episode-6-part-2-differences-between-the-left-and-the-right-part-ii" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Differences Between the Left and The Right, Part II</a>’, builds off of the <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/episode/episode-5-differences-between-the-left-and-the-right-part-i" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Volume 1 finale</a> by discussing the rival positions that dominate our national discourse and the massive philosophical gap between them.
“You often hear ‘that which unites us is greater than that which divides us,’ which just isn’t true,” Prager said. “It might have been true 100 years ago, but it is not true today.”
While some people hold a mixture of conservative and progressive viewpoints, Prager argues that in our increasingly polarized society, more and more people have been drawn into incompatible ideological camps, which have coalesced around respect for tradition, individualism and local autonomy on the one hand and relativism, collectivism and centralized control on the other.
“Not every conservative holds every conservative position. Not everyone on the Left holds every left-wing position,” Prager notes, “but it applies to the great majority of people.”
<h2>The Place Of Religion And God In Society</h2>
Prager argues that the Left wants religion to be a totally private matter with no influence in the public square, but the Right wants a religious society that promotes shared values — specifically Judeo-Christian values — while having a secular government.
“That which society’s values rely upon is religion,” George Washington said in his farewell address.
Prager notes that while not all the Founding Fathers were Christians, they all acknowledged the importance of the biblical tradition to American culture.
“The role of the Bible in American life has no peer,” Prager said. “It was the central text, it was how you taught children values.”

<h2>The Worth Of The Human Fetus</h2>
Prager argues that on the contentious issue of abortion, the central issue is not even one of policy, but of basic reality — the Left and the Right cannot agree on whether or not a fetus in the womb is objectively a human being or if its personhood is arbitrary.
“On the Left… the human fetus has no intrinsic worth,” Prager says. “The mother determines 100% whether it is infinitely precious or worth nothing.”
Prager notes that if a gunman shoots an expecting mother and she loses the baby as a result, he can be charged with homicide, but if an abortionist kills the child at the mother’s request, it is often treated with all the moral significance of having a pimple popped — the fetus is only a person if the mother wants it to be.
Prager says that even by secular moral standards, that position makes no sense. The conservative position that the fetus is a human being and valuable in and of itself is an objective and consistent moral standard; while we may quibble over when in development a fetus becomes a person, whether or not terminating a pregnancy is murder is not a question that is subjective to individual whim.
<h2>American Exceptionalism</h2>
Prager says that the Left regards the idea that the United States is in some way special as misguided chauvinism at best, while the Right holds it as historical fact. For much of its history, the United States was the land of opportunity, and people around the world flocked to it to pursue their dreams and enjoy the freedom and prosperity that were unrivaled around the world.
“American exceptionalism is not a bragging right,” Prager said. “It is either true or not true.”
Furthermore, Prager argues that American Exceptionalism is not guaranteed, and that recently, the United States has become less free and less special — America’s national character was hard-won and must be safeguarded.

<h2>The Greatest Threat To The World</h2>
Prager notes that the Left often describes climate change as an ‘existential threat’ to human civilization, and one that justifies extreme measures to combat it. By contrast, while those on the Right generally accept that the planet is getting warmer, they don’t view it as a catastrophe, are skeptical of efforts to completely reshape the world economy, and view ‘green’ alternatives such as solar and wind as unreliable compared to fossil fuels or even nuclear power. The latter is especially telling because nuclear energy emits virtually no greenhouse gasses yet is typically overlooked or even scorned by environmental activists.
By contrast, the Right generally regards human evil as the supreme and ever present threat to mankind, and are skeptical of concentrating power in the hands of a ruling elite. They fear that those elites are corruptible and will leap from crisis to crisis in order to justify their continual use and abuse of power to the detriment of everyone around them.
<h2>Race</h2>
The Left believes that a person’s racial identity is of paramount importance, while conservatives believe that  individual character is paramount and that a person’s ancestry tells you nothing important about who they are.
“You know literally nothing about a person if you know their color,” Prager says, “so how can it be significant?”
In addition, Prager also analyzes differing attitudes towards guns, art, diversity, culture, morality, American history, justice, nationalism, and immigration, where the Left and Right hold similarly irreconcilable positions.

Do you think the Russians care one iota about respecting U.S. law?
Well, you probably don&#8217;t, but President Joe Biden&#8217;s Energy Department is under the impression that President Vladimir Putin and his ilk will honor U.S. law as it relates to sensitive nuclear energy technology in <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/we-cannot-negotiate-high-ranking-ukrainian-official-nixes-russian-peace-talks" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Ukraine</a>.
Russia’s state-owned nuclear energy firm Rosatom took over Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant in Enerhodar, Ukraine, after it invaded. On Tuesday, CNN <a href="https://www.cnn.com/2023/04/18/politics/us-warns-russia-zaporizhzhia-nuclear-plant/index.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">reported</a> that the Department of Energy (DOE) sent Russia an official letter on March 17, 2023, explaining that the power plant “contains US-origin nuclear technical data that is export-controlled by the [U.S.] Government&#8221; and could undermine U.S. national security if it fell into the wrong hands.
Ukrainian crew members are currently staffing the power plant while Russia manages it. It was taken off the Ukrainian grid for security purposes.
Per the media outlet, the DOE also let Russia know, “It is unlawful under United States law for non-authorized persons, including, but not limited to, Russian citizens and Russian entities, such as Rosatom and its subsidiaries, to knowingly and willfully access, possess, control, export, store, seize, review, re-export, ship, transfer, copy, manipulate such technology or technical data, or direct, or authorize others to do the same, without such Russian entities becoming authorized recipients by the Secretary of the US Department of Energy.”
At first glance, that letter reads more like the old FBI warning about copying and redistributing VHS tapes than any stern warning of international importance.
Of course, to state the obvious, it was also in violation of Ukrainian law for Russia to invade in the first place, but that didn&#8217;t stop the Kremlin from barging right into the country and wreaking havoc. In fact, for seven years straight now, Biden and his Democratic Party have warned that Russia does not respect the American way of life nor its laws and democracy.
It should be noted that as of October 2022, there was “no record of any current authorization to transfer this technology and technical data to any Russian national or entity,&#8221; according to the DOE.

So, what exactly is this letter going to accomplish? Why would Russia — a country that the U.S. will help Ukraine fight until the end of World War III — care about U.S. law?
Isn&#8217;t it likely that Russia, alongside its new buddy China, is working around the clock to extract this data in ways unsusceptible to U.S. intelligence?
The real kicker in all of this is highlighted by CNN&#8217;s last line. The U.S. has been assisting Ukraine&#8217;s nuclear energy plant for quite some time out in the open.
In June 2021, the DOE&#8217;s website said that the U.S. “helped implement new maintenance procedures and operations at the reactor that should ultimately strengthen energy security” in Ukraine.
So, the Biden administration is intent on helping Ukraine achieve energy security, yet is content to weaken American energy independence by dismantling our <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/meads-joe-bidens-energy-policy-is-the-embodiment-of-america-last" target="_blank" rel="noopener">fossil fuels industry</a> and making us rely on foreign nations. In other words: Ukraine first. America last.

U.S. To Russia: Please Ignore Our Sensitive Nuclear Energy Tech In Ukraine

Peterson</a> noted the harmful effects of closing <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/nuclear-power" target="_blank" rel="noopener">nuclear</a> power facilities for ideological purposes as <a href="http://dailywire.com/topic/germany" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Germany</a> shuttered the nation’s remaining nuclear plants and <a href="http://dailywire.com/topic/elon-musk" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Elon Musk</a> strongly advised against the move.
Former German Chancellor Angela Merkel approved the gradual closure of the nation’s nuclear plants following the 2011 nuclear meltdown in Fukushima, Japan, which raised public opposition to the emission-free and relatively safe power generation method. The closure of Emsland, Neckarwestheim II, and Isar II, the remaining three nuclear facilities in the country, was slated to occur last year but was delayed until last Saturday as the Russian invasion of Ukraine heightened concerns over energy affordability and reliability.
Musk, an advocate of a <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/civilization-will-crumble-elon-musk-issues-dire-warning-about-rapid-shift-to-green-energy" target="_blank" rel="noopener">gradual</a> transition toward renewable energy amid the continued use of fossil fuels, warned that closing nuclear plants in Germany would force the central European economic behemoth to rely upon coal power, which produces higher emissions and causes more deaths than nuclear power plants over time through increased air pollution.
“Germany should not only not shut down the nuclear power plants, it should reopen the ones that shut down. Those are the fastest ones to restart. It’s crazy to shut down nuclear power plants,” he said in an <a href="https://twitter.com/jordanbpeterson/status/1647357961054871554?s=51" target="_blank" rel="noopener">interview</a> shared on social media. “Please do not shut down nuclear power plants and please reopen the ones that have been shut. This is total madness to shut them down. I want to be clear: total madness.”
Peterson, a DailyWire+ host and clinical psychologist, informed the world’s richest man that those who want to close nuclear plants are advocating for an inherently demented policy. “But crazy is the point,” Peterson <a href="https://twitter.com/jordanbpeterson/status/1647357961054871554?s=51" target="_blank" rel="noopener">told</a> Musk on social media. “Anti-nuclear is not a pro-environment stance; it is an anti-human, anti-industrial stance. So crazy is a feature not a bug.”
Peterson has frequently contended that “idiot hypothetically environmentalist policies” in nations like Germany cause more expensive energy and noted the “pseudo-religious” ideological elements which some modern climate movements maintain.
“The environmentalists offer us a story to live by and it’s a pseudo-religious story and it essentially elevates the biosphere, the earth, Gaia the earth goddess, to the status of primary deity and characterizes her as sort of a waif-like innocent victim, easily taken advantage of and fragile,” Peterson <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/a-pseudo-religious-story-jordan-peterson-gets-to-the-core-of-todays-environmentalism-on-tucker" target="_blank" rel="noopener">told</a> Fox News host Tucker Carlson last month. “It casts the entire human endeavor on the social front as a raping and pillaging, patriarchal, monster only interested in power. And it casts the individual as a devouring mouth riding on the back of that giant.”

While some nations, such as the Netherlands and Poland, seek to expand their nuclear energy initiatives, other European countries are concluding their nuclear programs despite the constrained energy supplies emerging from worsened relations with Russia. Elevated energy prices severely <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/european-companies-pause-production-as-energy-prices-soar" target="_blank" rel="noopener">impacted</a> the continent’s economy in the fall and winter as several manufacturers in central Europe shuttered their operations due to the cost increases. Germany relied on Russia for more than half of natural gas supplies before the war.
“This is a national security risk. Listen, playtime is over,” Musk continued in the interview. “It is a national security risk to shut these things down.”

Well, folks, don&#8217;t look now, but the &#8220;risk of a nuclear weapon being used is currently higher than at any time since the depths of the cold war,&#8221; <a href="https://news.un.org/en/story/2023/03/1135222" target="_blank" rel="noopener">according</a> to the United Nations High Representative for Disarmament Affairs Izumi Nakamitsu.
The <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/ukraine-russia-war" target="_blank" rel="noopener">war in Ukraine</a> — obviously — is what is driving that risk. Based on reports made during the UN&#8217;s security council on Friday, that war isn&#8217;t ending any time soon — as if there were any doubt of that. Americans should know it is not going to end any time soon, our commander-in-chief has said that our tax dollars and equipment will be supporting Ukraine in its battle against Russia for &#8220;as long as it takes&#8221; — whatever that means. The Swamp wants this war to continue — and so it will.
While Biden has been banging the war drums, Putin has been chatting with its neighbors and new BFF Belarus. Now, reports indicate that Russia will be stationing non-strategic nuclear weapons within Belarus territory. According to the UN, those will be in place for aerial use by July.
For its part, Russia denies such accusations.
“We are pursuing cooperation with Belarus without violating obligations,” Russian ambassador and Permanent Representative Vassily Nebenzia <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/it-sure-sounds-like-biden-wants-world-war-over-ukraine" target="_blank" rel="noopener">said</a> on Friday. “We are not transferring nuclear weapons. We are talking about the retrofitting of airplanes and training teams in the construction of a storage facility on the territory of Belarus.”
Yet he did make sure to note that Russia would respond to any &#8220;provocative measures&#8221; as it saw fit, while adding, “A nuclear war cannot be won.&#8221;
As has been the case for much of the war, Russia and the West aren&#8217;t exactly on speaking terms, to put it lightly. Both sides say that the other needs to leave Ukraine in order for the fighting to end, and both sides say that isn&#8217;t going to happen.
So, the war will persist at an essential stalemate, possibly inching closer and closer to World War III.

Now, Ukraine has been fortifying troops and conducting practices along its border with Belarus. That has Belarus worried that Ukraine might try to invade Russia through its territory.
How did Belarusian leaders respond? Well, they first offered a proposal for an immediate ceasefire — which was rejected by Ukrainian leaders. Then <a href="https://www.cnn.com/europe/live-news/russia-ukraine-war-news-03-31-23/index.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Belarus essentially threatened</a> to nuke the West if it tried entering its territory.
What does the U.S. have to say about all of this?
On Friday, Robert Wood, U.S. Deputy Permanent Representative of the United States to the United Nations, told Russia, &#8220;Any use of nuclear weapons in Ukraine would have severe consequences and would fundamentally change the nature of this war.&#8221; He also called Russia&#8217;s accusations &#8220;ludicrous.&#8221;
Meanwhile, Nakamitsu from the UN was practically begging the two sides to come to the table and craft a peace plan.
“When it comes to issues related to nuclear weapons, all States must avoid taking any actions that could lead to escalation, mistake or miscalculation,” she said. “They should return to dialogue to de-escalate tensions urgently and find ways to develop and implement transparency and confidence-building measures.&#8221;
Yet again, dialogue isn&#8217;t on the table for Biden or Putin. So, the war will go on for the foreseeable future. If both sides don&#8217;t start talking soon, well, then maybe it really is the closest we&#8217;ve been to a nuclear war.
