Actor Robert De Niro was so sincere in his hatred for President Donald Trump that he apparently brought MS NOW host Nicolle Wallace to tears — and choked up a little himself — during a recent interview.
De Niro was speaking with Wallace for an episode of her podcast, &#8220;The Best People with Nicolle Wallace,&#8221; and he reduced himself to tears as he first claimed that he was always going to be about &#8220;lifting people up&#8221; and then almost immediately complained about &#8220;this thing&#8221; currently running the country.

&#8220;Of course!&#8221; De Niro said, visibly affected by the question.
After a brief pause, he pushed ahead, still working to keep his composure: &#8220;You have to. You have to lift people up. You have to bring them together. Period. You can’t divide people. You can’t win that way. It’s a no-win situation.&#8221;
&#8220;And look what we have. Look who we have there,&#8221; he continued. &#8220;It’s almost like a destiny to have this thing there attempting to destroy this country and maybe not even understanding why. So it’s up to us to protect the country.&#8221;
&#8220;That we love?&#8221; Wallace prompted.
&#8220;Yes,&#8221; De Niro replied.
Wallace, who did not appear to be crying, added, &#8220;You weren’t supposed to make me cry. Thank you so much. Thank you for this. We talked about how this is the moment, this is the moment that it goes one way or the other. Is it going the other way?&#8221;
&#8220;I don’t know. All I know is people have to have to resist, resist, resist,&#8221; De Niro declared. &#8220;There’s no easy way. It’s not going to come to you easy. You know, there’s a time when you know in your own life and your own survival, you better do this. You better jump and run through the fire because if you don’t run through the fire, you’re not getting out and that’s what we have to do.&#8221;

Comedian Leslie Jones demanded a &#8220;reckoning&#8221; and called for all Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents to be thrown in jail during a podcast appearance with MS NOW host Nicolle Wallace.
Jones was a guest on Wallace&#8217;s podcast, called &#8220;<a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XF0l2ER-wz4&amp;list=PLDIVi-vBsOEwuoEi_YVSlPt_yGf1xsoa6&amp;index=1">The Best People</a>,&#8221; and she spent most of the time trashing President Donald Trump and laying the blame at the feet of the people who voted for him.

Jones, a &#8220;Saturday Night Live&#8221; alum, recalled Trump being on the show and said that he&#8217;d behaved like an &#8220;insecure narcissist,&#8221; claiming that he was &#8220;scared&#8221; of her because she was &#8220;honest.&#8221;
Then Wallace asked her to describe what the world might look like when the Trump presidency ends in January of 2029: &#8220;How do you think it ends? How do you think the era ends?&#8221;
&#8220;Girl, I&#8217;m hoping, this is what I&#8217;m hoping,&#8221; Jones said, adding, &#8220;That midterms, people come out and vote like crazy to switch it over, and then the reckoning comes.&#8221;
&#8220;That&#8217;s what I want, all — everybody that worked for ICE, I want them in jail. I just want a reckoning,&#8221; she continued, clapping her hands for emphasis. &#8220;I want a reckoning. Actress and comedian Rosie O&#8217;Donnell admitted on Monday that her therapist was not as panicked about President Donald Trump as she was — and that was of great concern to her.
Appearing on Monday&#8217;s episode of &#8220;The Best People with Nicolle Wallace,” O&#8217;Donnell voiced her frustrations to the longtime MSNBC anchor. O&#8217;Donnell began by arguing that Democrats should be more open to accepting former Trump voters who had &#8220;changed their minds&#8221; after seeing what they&#8217;d really voted for — although polling indicates that Trump voters largely approve of Trump&#8217;s performance across multiple issues.
&#8220;When people say, ‘I changed my mind,’ we have to say, ‘Welcome back to reality. Let’s all be Americans together.’ Right? Because what’s happening is not only happening to Democrats,” O’Donnell said. “It’s happening to everyone. And when the Medicaid cuts go in, old people are going to start to die, to die.”

MSNBC hosts Rachel Maddow and Nicolle Wallace faced backlash online following President Donald Trump&#8217;s address to Congress on Tuesday night after they used an emotional moment with a young brain cancer survivor honored by the president to bash Trump.
The commentary from the far-left hosts came after Trump recognized 13-year-old Devarjaye &#8220;DJ&#8221; Daniel, who was in the gallery for the event and has always dreamed of being a police officer.
&#8220;In 2018, DJ was diagnosed with brain cancer,&#8221; Trump said. &#8220;The doctors gave him five months at most to live. That was more than six years ago.&#8221;
&#8220;Since that time, DJ and his dad have been on a quest to make his dream come true and DJ has been sworn in as an honorary law enforcement officer, actually a number of times. The police love him. The police departments love him,&#8221; Trump continued. &#8220;And tonight, DJ, we are going to do you the biggest honor of them all. I am asking our new Secret Service director, Sean Curran, to officially make you an agent of the United States Secret Service.&#8221;
Maddow responded to the viral moment by calling it &#8220;disgusting.&#8221;
“For the record – and this is disgusting – the president made a spectacle out of praising a young man who’s thus far survived pediatric cancer – as if the president had something to do with that,” Maddow fumed.

Wallace used Daniel to attack Trump and said she hoped that he did not commit suicide.

&#8220;The reason I started by asking if we&#8217;d ever been here before is because I think as a country we all have to participate in it,&#8221; Wallace began. &#8220;Because if you have kids, your kids wake up, if you have anything to do with an election, if you&#8217;re an election worker or a news anchor, they want to know what happened.&#8221;
Wallace went on to say that, much like the week following the 2020 presidential election, election days in the future could stretch into weeks because the results were just not known by the end of the day.
&#8220;I think we have to have a conversation as a country about how we might not know the next morning what happened,&#8221; she explained. &#8220;We might not know the day after that — and that is their point!&#8221;
&#8220;That is their point!&#8221; Wallace said again, going on to argue that some Republicans were not even running to win, necessarily, but rather, to muddy the waters and sow chaos and confusion. &#8220;Some of them will [win], unfortunately. They are running to sow discord in America. And it will change everything.&#8221;
Wallace continued down that path, claiming that Election Day might not even be a thing in two years&#8217; time and suggesting that it might be Election Week instead.
&#8220;What we are watching, and because it&#8217;s so slow, it&#8217;s so slow, we don&#8217;t cover it as a five-alarm fire but it is,&#8221; Wallace added. &#8220;We are watching Republicans not just destroying Democracy in the dark, breaking into election offices and plugging stuff in, we&#8217;re watching them do it from rally stages. Debate stages. That&#8217;s where they&#8217;re doing it.&#8221;
Wallace then asked McCaskill directly whether she thought such unprecedented behavior called for a &#8220;Democracy commission,&#8221; adding, &#8220;Should President Obama ask Chris Christie and Ben Ginsberg to sort of man a Democracy hotline, you know, man other crises — what should we do?&#8221;
McCaskill quickly pulled back from the idea of a commission, saying instead that Republicans just had to be better. &#8220;It just take Republicans that have some character and integrity,&#8221; she said.

MSNBC&#8217;s Nicolle Wallace suggested that Texas democratic gubernatorial hopeful Beto O&#8217;Rourke, was the one being mistreated when police escorted him out of a formal press conference that he had intentionally disrupted.
Wallace showed footage of O&#8217;Rourke interrupting Governor Greg Abbott (R-TX) while he attempted to update reporters and victims&#8217; families in the aftermath of Tuesday&#8217;s horrific mass shooting at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas.
After O&#8217;Rourke <a href="https://dailywire.com/news/youre-a-sick-son-of-a-b-beto-orourke-crashes-greg-abbott-press-conference-on-uvalde-shooting/">confronted Abbott</a>, accusing him of &#8220;doing nothing,&#8221; Uvalde Mayor Don McLaughlin called him a &#8220;sick son of a b****&#8221; for attempting to weaponize the press conference for his own political gain, and police officers escorted him from the building — but Wallace appeared to be far more concerned with the way those present had responded to O&#8217;Rourke than the fact that he had disrupted the event in the first place.

Wallace began by lamenting the lack of federal action to implement more gun control, saying, &#8220;Action, real, meaningful action on guns has been non-existent on the federal level, and in Republican led states. In fact, things are going the other way.&#8221;
She went on to complain about the fact that two of the elected officials who represent Uvalde — Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) and Governor Abbott — were both still slated to attend the National Rifle Association&#8217;s (NRA) upcoming annual meeting on Friday.
&#8220;In a speech last night, a clearly exasperated President Joe Biden urged Americans to turn their pain into action,&#8221; Wallace continued, sharing a moment from <a href="https://dailywire.com/news/its-just-sick-biden-uses-school-shooting-address-to-slam-gun-lobby/">Biden&#8217;s Tuesday evening address</a> attacking the &#8220;gun lobby.&#8221;
&#8220;As a nation, we have to ask when in God’s name are we going to stand up to the gun lobby?&#8221; Biden asked, going on to warn his political opposition against standing in the way of what he called &#8220;common sense gun laws.&#8221;
&#8220;And just this afternoon at a press conference in Uvalde, Governor Greg Abbott was confronted by his Democratic opponent, a visibly frustrated Beto O’Rourke,&#8221; Wallace continued, showing video of O&#8217;Rourke as he disrupted the press conference. Matthew Dowd claimed Wednesday that if Jesus Christ were still living, people might call him a &#8220;groomer.&#8221;
Dowd, who served as a top advisor for former President George W. &#8220;The Easter holidays, the entire message of the Gospels of the Easter holidays was &#8216;Love one another,’” Dowd began. &#8220;And I have said this before, and I&#8217;ll say it again: If Jesus Christ was alive today, he would be called a groomer. He would be called woke. And he would be called a socialist, if he was alive today.&#8221;
&#8220;If he was speaking the message he spoke in the Gospels today about treating everybody with dignity — Jesus Christ hung around with prostitutes and tax collectors,&#8221; Dowd continued. &#8220;He was nailed to a cross because he spoke on behalf of the most marginalized people in the Middle East.&#8221;
&#8220;And the idea that a certain segment of the population has tried to capture the faith and corrupt a message that I [may have been] a follower of since I was baptized and was confirmed and served on the altar in the course of this, is something I think all of us — it&#8217;s not just people of faith, but whether Christian, Hindu, Buddhist, or don&#8217;t have a faith, the message of &#8216;love conquers hate&#8217; is a message we should be pushing, but especially Christians in the country that can&#8217;t stand what happened to our faith,&#8221; Dowd concluded.
Dowd announced a bid for the 2022 Lieutenant Governor&#8217;s race in Texas, but <a href="https://www.texastribune.org/2021/12/07/matthew-dowd-texas-lieutenant-governor/">withdrew from contention</a> in the Democratic primary six days before the final filing deadline. He explained in a statement that he was making an exit in order to clear the way for a &#8220;more diverse&#8221; candidate to take on the race.
&#8220;When I first announced, the only other candidate was a white male Christian,&#8221; Dowd said. &#8220;A diverse field is now emerging in the Democratic primary for this office. I do not want to be the one who stands in the way of the greater diversity we need in politics.&#8221;
State Rep. Michelle Beckley (D), who announced her own bid for LG, voiced her thanks to Dowd: &#8220;Women have been underrepresented in politics for too long. The Democratic Party is a diverse party and a party that supports the goals and aspirations of women, and in stepping back, Dowd is showing his respect for voters.&#8221;
Mike Collier, the other white Christian man in the Lieutenant Governor&#8217;s race, did not withdraw from the race, but said he supported Dowd&#8217;s decision. &#8220;I’m thankful for all that Matthew Dowd has done to demonstrate to the nation the importance of defeating Dan Patrick. With so much on the line, Matthew and I join millions of Texans in committing to do all we can to defeat Dan Patrick in 2022,&#8221; he said.

MSNBC anchor Nicolle Wallace accused Governor Ron DeSantis of using &#8220;dehumanization&#8221; as a political tactic, claiming that it was no different than Russia using the same tactic to get soldiers to rape children in Ukraine.
During Wednesday&#8217;s broadcast of &#8220;Deadline White House,&#8221; Wallace referenced a speech made by Michigan State Senator Mallory McMorrow (D). McMorrow, responding to a fundraising email in which State Senator Lana Theis had reportedly accused her of &#8220;grooming and sexualizing children.&#8221;

Wallace argued that Theis&#8217; argument was the same one that DeSantis was using to promote Florida&#8217;s <a href="https://dailywire.com/news/shocked-it-only-protects-children-until-third-grade-tulsi-gabbard-reacts-to-florida-parental-rights-law/">recently-passed</a> Parental Rights in Education law, which bans classroom instruction on gender identity and sexual orientation for students in kindergarten through third grade. DeSantis&#8217; office and a number of those <a href="https://dailywire.com/news/how-disney-got-caught-in-floridas-anti-grooming-bill-crossfire/">in favor of the law</a> have referred to anyone who advocated pushing such lessons on children as &#8220;groomers&#8221; as well, also arguing that they meant to &#8220;sexualize&#8221; children.

&#8220;The truth is dehumanization, as a tactic for politics, is from war,&#8221; Wallace added. &#8220;Dehumanization is — it&#8217;s a tactic, it&#8217;s being used right now. The Russians get their soldiers to rape children by dehumanizing them. Dehumanization as a practice is a tactic of war. It is being deployed in politics and people like you and I sometimes lose the plot and admire its effective — not its substance, but even the analysis of these tactics loses sight of what this speech brings us back to which is that dehumanization has a cost right now. Right now, as it’s deployed.&#8221;
Wallace went on to mention <a href="https://www.nbcnews.com/nbc-out/out-news/chasten-buttigieg-says-floridas-dont-say-gay-bill-will-push-kids-back-rcna13463">comments</a> made by <a href="https://dailywire.com/news/buttigieg-tells-the-view-co-host-he-agrees-parents-rights-law-in-florida-will-kill-kids/">Chasten Buttigieg</a>, who alleged that legislation like Florida&#8217;s Parental Rights in Education law would ultimately risk the lives of children.
&#8220;This will kill kids, @RonDeSantisFL. You are purposefully making your state a harder place for LGBTQ kids to survive in. In a national survey (@TrevorProject), 42% of LGBTQ youth seriously considered attempting suicide last year. Now they can&#8217;t talk to their teachers?&#8221; Buttigieg tweeted, despite the fact that the law only bans official instruction on gender identity and sexual orientation but does not ban students from talking about those topics with anyone.
&#8220;Kids will die. How do we bring it back to the substance of the harm that is done by a strategy in war and politics of dehumanizing people?&#8221; Wallace concluded.

Although it is the Christmas season, MSNBC doesn’t seem to have much “goodwill toward men,” as the network spent an entire segment denouncing white evangelical Christians as “the most un-Christian” segment of American society.
“We have … evangelical[s], who are supposedly ‘the most Christian people in the country,’ who practice the most un-Christian ways,” said MSNBC contributor and <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/dallas-democrat-mayor-rips-matthew-dowd-over-remarks-on-ending-campaign-democrats-have-racism-problem">short-lived candidate for lieutenant governor of Texas</a> Matthew Dowd. He claimed that conservative Christians “don’t believe in common decency, don’t believe in the common good,” and have embraced “the exact opposite of what Jesus preached in the gospels.”
“I actually think we’re in a spiritual-soul crisis in this country,” and evangelical support for President Donald Trump “is the most direct evidence of it,” said Dowd. “We have a fundamental soul problem when we have an entire segment of our society who no longer believes in the fundamental message of Jesus Christ about loving one another and respecting one another, and treating everybody as you want to be treated. They don’t believe that anymore.” Dowd did not use the same standard to evaluate MSNBC personalities who said “there’s <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/msnbc-idiot-percentage-of-this-population-that-just-needs-to-be-told-what-to-do">an idiot percentage of this population</a> that just needs to be told what to do” and compared Trump voters to <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/prager-donny-deutsch-michael-hayden-and-moral-dennis-prager">Nazis</a>.
Dowd went on to say that “every single spiritual faith in the history of the world” has taught the same ethic of selfless love, “whether it’s a Muslim, a Buddhist, a Jewish person”; <a href="https://www.djameskennedy.org/devotional-detail/20200527-the-uniqueness-of-christ">all religions</a> have “<a href="https://www.jihadwatch.org/2016/08/islamic-state-jesus-is-a-slave-to-allah-who-will-wage-jihad-once-he-returns-to-earth">taught the same fundamental thing</a>.”
Evangelical leaders said Dowd’s criticism rang a familiar bell.
“Let’s not forget that almost every time Jesus taught, some hated Him so fiercely they wanted to kill Him. Jesus warned that same baseless hatred would be hurled at His followers, to which Mr. Dowd is a case in point,&#8221; Tony Perkins, president of the Family Research Council, told me in an exclusive statement.
Dowd’s comments came during a segment of Tuesday’s “Deadline: White House” in which the host, Nicolle Wallace, made <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/msnbc-host-repeats-3-discredited-claims-2-in-less-than-a-minute">three factual errors — two within one minute</a>. She offered no retraction on Wednesday’s program.
In the segment, Wallace highlighted an article from Peter Wehner, who also joined her.
Wallace, a former advisor to George W. Bush and John McCain, lamented that evangelical Christians now support Donald Trump when, she claims, they used to support such issues as “climate change,” fighting poverty and malaria, and pushing the U.S. “toward more aggressive action globally.”
“A lot of people who describe themselves as evangelicals have subordinated faith to politics and to partisan passions … and decided that they want to use the Bible to defend things that I think ultimately are indefensible,” said Wehner. White evangelicals’ political sensibilities are driven by an “overblown” sense of “grievances and resentments over decades of being … mocked and ridiculed by the elite [and] the Establishment,” he said without proof.
Christian scholars said it is Dowd and Wehner who have conflated their politics with the Gospel.
“The suggestion that American evangelicals don’t believe in ‘common decency’ or ‘the common good’ reflects a fundamental misunderstanding about the concept of ‘the common good’ and of Christianity,” said Trey Dimsdale, J.D., executive director of the <a href="https://crcd.net/">Center for Religion, Culture, and Democracy</a>, a think tank that focuses on religion’s positive contribution to society. “From the very earliest days of the American republic, American Christians have strived to make our culture one that is open, free, and one of mutual support and affection in which non-Christians and non-Americans can flourish.”
Conservative Christians reject sweeping, top-down, government-centered policies precisely because they believe those policies do not contribute to the common good, which is better served by private philanthropy. The fact that conservative evangelicals hold “a different vision based on different conceptions of ‘the good’ is not something that should be surprising or even scandalous, but a byproduct of a plural society and should be welcomed,” Dimsdale, who is an evangelical Christian, told The Daily Wire exclusively. “Christians of different persuasions and those of other religious commitments are welcomed to participate in our common civic life and pursue the good that is common to all of us.”
Dowd seemingly misquoted Jesus during the interview, claiming that Jesus told people to “forget about the kingdom of God, and forget about Heaven, just love one another.” In reality, Jesus told people to “<a href="https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Matthew%206%3A33&amp;version=NKJV">seek first the kingdom of God</a>.” The Bible mentions the terms “kingdom of God” or “kingdom of Heaven” 101 times.
&#8220;If we talk about Jesus, let’s make sure it’s the Jesus of the Bible, who said, ‘<a href="https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=John+14%3A15-21&amp;version=NKJV">If you love Me, keep My commandments</a>,’” said Perkins. “America’s soul problem results from its truth problem: a denial of God, His Word, and its application to our lives.”

MSNBC host Nicolle Wallace admitted on Monday&#8217;s broadcast of &#8220;Deadline: White House&#8221; that she is a &#8220;Fauci-groupie&#8221; — and said that she worried that despite her own hyper-vigilance and adherence to mask-wearing recommendations, she would not be able to &#8220;outrun&#8221; the Omicron variant.
<a href="https://dailywire.com/news/msnbcs-nicolle-wallace-falsely-claims-trump-ryan-saavedra/">Wallace</a>, who previously served as communications directer for former President George W. Bush and as an advisor for Republican presidential candidate John McCain, made the comments during a conversation with Dr. Anne Rimoin of the UCLA Fielding School of Public Health.
&#8220;Can I just be super blunt? Is everyone going to get it? Everyone I know has COVID right now,&#8221; <a href="https://dailywire.com/news/msnbcs-wallace-claims-she-misspoke-saying-trump-ryan-saavedra/">Wallace</a> began.
Rimoin said that no, not everyone would get COVID — especially if they observed the precautions and guidelines put forth by public health officials.
&#8220;How?&#8221; Wallace interrupted, adding, &#8220;I have used all those tools. I am triple-vaxxed, I wear a mask everywhere except when I sit down, and I put it on before I get up. And I am going to get it. How do you not get Omicron?&#8221;
&#8220;Nicolle, that’s very fatalistic. I know how you feel,&#8221; Rimoin replied, saying that the best thing to do is take any possible steps to at least slow the rate of transmission and protect the health care systems from being overrun. &#8220;The masks make a very big difference. I would wear a very high quality KN-95 mask. I think that would make a big difference in terms of this.&#8221;
Rimoin went on to say that the typical precautions such as <a href="https://dailywire.com/news/im-an-athlete-im-not-an-activist-aaron-rodgers-ready-to-move-on-from-covid-vaccine-controversy/">getting vaccinated</a> and avoiding places that were especially crowded would also help to keep the virus from spreading.
&#8220;We should do what we can to avoid getting it. And understand that if we have done everything we can, we are going to have a mild version, and that’s much better,&#8221; Rimoin continued. &#8220;I get how you feel. So does the rest of the country. But there are things we can do to minimize it.&#8221;
&#8220;I don’t feel frustrated. I actually feel relieved. It seems like this is — if you are going to get one of them, this is the one to get,&#8221; Wallace said, apparently referencing reports that the Omicron variant has resulted in much faster transmission but lesser symptoms. &#8220;I have got three shots in nine months and I wear my mask everywhere, if I am going to get one, I want this one not the next one.&#8221;
Wallace went on to ask Rimoin about the trend pivoting from reporting on the number of cases and focusing instead on the number of hospitalizations and deaths.
&#8220;The metric we need to worry about is the hospitalizations,&#8221; Rimoin agreed, noting that the primary concern for those in the health care field was to make sure that hospitals could continue to treat not just COVID patients but patients who required admission or treatment for other issues.
&#8220;Our bottom line is we just want to be able to protect the health system,&#8221; she said, adding, &#8220;But how do we prevent those hospitalizations? By reducing cases.&#8221;

I am not with my family because I am sick.&#8217; I know seven people who have gotten COVID in the last ten days. All these people are vaccinated and most of them are boosted. There is a sense out there right now, people are like, my goodness the same things I have been doing to be careful, that have kept me safe for a year and a half, are no longer working.&#8221;

MSNBC host Nicolle Wallace, who continuously accuses Fox News of promoting “misinformation,” repeated three widely discredited stories about former President Donald Trump during a single, 13-minute segment of Tuesday’s “Deadline: White House” — two of them within one minute of each other. One of the stories directly contradicted video footage she had just shown.
Claim #1: Lafayette Square redux
Wallace devoted a <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ybxddn3dk4I">full segment</a> to criticizing the Trump family for its alleged disdain of the Bible. “Hyper-masculine, real men,” she said, “show their faith by gassing protesters in Lafayette Square in order to — for the sole purpose of — being able to hoist a Bible above Trump’s head as a photo prop, upside-down I believe, in front of St. John’s church.” (Emphasis in original.)

Last June 1, President Trump visited the St. John’s Episcopal Church, often called “the church of presidents,” which rioters set fire to during arson-tinged unrest. “The evidence we reviewed showed that the USPP cleared the park to allow a contractor to safely install antiscale fencing in response to destruction of [f]ederal property and injury to officers that occurred on May 30 and May 31,” the <a href="https://doioig.opengov.ibmcloud.com/sites/doioig.gov/files/Final%20Statement_0.pdf">report</a> <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/inspector-general-debunks-claims-made-by-biden-harris-left-wing-media-against-trump">said</a>. USPP officials “made those decisions” and began clearing the area “several hours before they knew of a potential [p]residential visit to the park, which occurred later that day.”
Claim #2: Trump said ‘The Art of the Deal’ is better than the Bible
That lie came less than 60 seconds after Wallace played a clip of an interview with then-candidate Trump saying he would not name his favorite Bible passage, because his faith was “very personal.”
“The Bible clearly is so special to Donald Trump that in that moment, he couldn’t think of a single passage that he liked, and it was second only to The Art of the Deal,” Wallace said, citing the president’s book.
But in the video she had just played, the future president told Bloomberg News that he considered the Bible his favorite book, not his own bestseller. When people at his campaign rallies “hold up The Art of the Deal, I say, ‘My second favorite book of all time.’ But I just think the Bible is just something very special,” he <a href="https://twitter.com/briantashman/status/1267599254325014531">said</a>.
“The whole Bible is incredible,” he said.

Claim #3: Trump called people who serve in the military “losers”
Later in the segment, Wallace repeated another long-discredited, anti-Trump canard: that Donald Trump refused to visit a military cemetery and called fallen U.S. soldiers “losers.”
Wallace said Trump&#8217;s alleged hostility to the Bible sounded like “a direct echo” of “an earlier Atlantic [magazine] piece about Donald Trump calling those who served our country in the military suckers. … He had horrible things to say about anyone who had been injured or lost their life serving this country. So if you serve your country, you’re a sucker. If you read and adhere to the teachings of the Bible, you’re a sucker.”

An article published in The Atlantic in September 2020 <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/anonymous-sources-tell-mag-trump-called-dead-troops-losers-5-witnesses-go-on-record-to-dispute">asserted</a> that President Trump canceled a visit to the Aisne-Marne American Cemetery near Paris “because he did not believe it important to honor American war dead.” It went on to cite anonymous sources who claimed President Trump said, “Why should I go to that cemetery? It’s filled with losers.”
But no fewer than <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/10-witnesses-go-on-the-record-stating-atlantic-report-on-trump-denigrating-troops-is-a-lie-2">10 people</a> — including former <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/john-bolton-already-debunked-key-claim-in-atlantic-report-on-trumps-alleged-comments-on-dead-soldiers">National Security Adviser John Bolton</a>, who became an indefatigable Trump foe — went on the record to say The Atlantic’s story wasn&#8217;t true. “It was entirely a weather-related decision, and I thought the proper thing to do. I never heard he made that kind of comment about another country’s forces either, no,” said Bolton.
Former presidential counselor Johnny DeStefano said plainly, “I was on this trip. The Atlantic bit is not true. Period.” Former acting White House Chief of Staff Mick Mulvaney said Trump “was outwardly in awe of the accomplishments of the Allied Forces, and the sacrifices they paid,” as he surveyed the battlefield on the 75thanniversary of D-Day.

The Atlantic’s owner, Laurene Powell Jobs, has donated more than <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/atlantic-owner-is-biden-megadonor-close-to-storys-author-sixth-witness-trump-opponent-disputes-story">$1.2 million to Democratic candidates</a> since 2019.
Wallace has repeatedly accused Fox News and other conservative news outlets of spreading “misinformation.”
Last January, Wallace — a former campaign strategist to John McCain — said only people who share &#8220;the truth” should be able to speak on the air, especially about the 2020 presidential election. “It would be my policy that a Republican must assert the truth before they’re allowed to share any other views,” she <a href="https://redstate.com/mike_miller/2021/01/21/msnbcs-nicolle-wallace-republicans-must-assert-the-truth-before-theyre-allowed-to-share-any-other-views-n313903">said</a>.
“If we can protect against counterfeit dollar bills, we should be able to protect against fake news that we now know has the potential to kill people,” <a href="https://twitter.com/CurtisHouck/status/1352009478544224265">concluded</a> Wallace.
