Independent presidential candidate <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/robert-f-kennedy-jr" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Robert F. Kennedy Jr.&#8217;s</a> vice presidential running mate, Nicole Shanahan, released a parody video on X Friday afternoon about former President Donald Trump&#8217;s supporters.
The light-hearted video, dubbed &#8220;The MAGA People,&#8221; is styled as an old fashioned documentary and features a British narrator who sounds like he is working on a nature documentary.
&#8220;Across the Atlantic, in the North American country of the United States lays a fascinating and often misunderstood collective,&#8221; the narrator begins. &#8220;From its Northeastern cities to its Midwestern towns to its expansive West, this courageous group of individuals are most notably known for their unwavering patriotism. Join us as we explore the fascinating world of the MAGA People.&#8221;
&#8220;As we embarked on our journey, we were judicious in taking all necessary precautions,&#8221; the video continues. &#8220;Our media had warned us that these were a vicious, radical, and even deplorable people.&#8221;

&#8220;Contrary to what we had been told, we found the MAGA people to be warm, loving, and even rather cheeky at times,&#8221; the video continues. &#8220;As we spent time with the MAGA people, we learned that their mantra, &#8216;Make America Great Again,&#8217; is an optimistic belief that the United States will once again prosper by returning to its founding principles of a government by and for the people. Under these beliefs, the MAGA people strive to protect America&#8217;s Constitution, freedom of its citizens, health of its people, and a yearning to restore the American dream that existed not so long ago.&#8221;
The narrator says that Trump supporters have a &#8220;wholesome familial demeanor,&#8221; and &#8220;often talk about their love of family, the importance of truth, and a desire for basic human rights.&#8221;
&#8220;As they strive to uphold the peace and harmony throughout their communities, the MAGA people are insistent on protecting their borders,&#8221; the video continues. &#8220;However, they are not inherently confrontational as they advocate for ending the wars and military presence abroad. Further observations reveal that MAGA people come from all walks of life, including farmers and ranchers, family-owned businesses, entrepreneurs, health advocates, blue-collar workers, and military servicemen.&#8221;
The video concludes, &#8220;As we departed back to our native land, we couldn&#8217;t help but reflect on all that the MAGA people had taught us. Once perceived as a dangerous and barbaric group, we found ourselves feeling enlightened by the MAGA&#8217;s moral, ethical, and honest ways of life. One could only hope that a similar movement would eventually emerge for us.&#8221;

Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s running mate, Nicole Shanahan, blistered Democratic presidential nominee Kamala Harris, and the Democratic party, savaging Harris for talking about “price-gouging” in the food industry and ripping the party for trying to remove the Kennedy team from the presidential race.
Shanahan spoke with Chris Cuomo on “NewsNation.”
“I can tell you, Democrats, even though they’ve raised less from their top ten donors, they’ve put an enormous amount of money compared to take out third parties; PACs specifically designed to take them out,” Shanahan told Cuomo. “We haven’t had any of that from the Republican Party, and that has been a real learning experience for us. Could have never expected it, anticipated it, but it had a really big impact on me.”

She lauded former President Donald Trump, saying, “What we did on Friday was amazing because we crossed the chasm; we found somebody who was willing to put these ideas on center stage; millions of people for the first time, heard Bobby’s voice.”
Cuomo raised several issues on which he thought the Kennedy team and Trump might disagree, then said, “What guarantee do you have of any power over these issues in the administration, and two, why are you, who’s known for being a savvy person, so quick to trust that Donald Trump will deliver on what he says?”
“To answer your second question first, look: where we are right now, is we have taken a year —  Bobby has been running for over a year,” Shanahan responded. “We have crossed this nation; we have talked to Americans; we have met people from all ends of the political spectrum, which is what you should be doing if you are running for a representative office.”
“100%,” Cuomo agreed.
“You should be out there listening,” Shanahan continued. “And our job is to bring that voice to whomever is going to be sincere in their reception to hearing the American public, where they’re hurting; what is going on. I mean, farmers. Farmers are so underrepresented right now. And this is why I brought up some of my criticisms of Kamala Harris’ food cap economic policy, food price capping.”
On August 16, Harris <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/kamala-admits-groceries-cost-more-under-biden-harris-admin-than-during-trump-era">told</a> a North Carolina crowd, “I will work to pass the first-ever federal ban on price gouging on food.”
“Farmers are on their knees in this country right now,” Shanahan declared. “They are not ‘price gouging.’ To say that our farmers are ‘price gouging’ when they are already on their knees; who can I take that message to today? You tell me, Chris.”
“Yeah, that’s a fair criticism,” Cuomo admitted.

“Who’s gonna listen to me? Cause I have taken this message for years to the Democratic Party, and I cannot get through to anybody,” Shanahan said. “It’s not like this has happened overnight. I didn’t wake up one morning and say, ‘What a great idea it would be to leave the Democratic Party.’ No. I tried everything, everything, in my capability to get through to someone who would listen and hear this actual science, to hear the people on the ground, to listen to American voices.”
“And we’ve gotta judge people by their reactions; we’ve gotta judge people by the people around them and, right now, Trump has some really good people around him, and he’s willing, he’s more than willing to listen,” she asserted. “He wants to listen, understand, verify, and then say, ‘All right, who’s going to help me get this done?’ And Bobby has been right up there next to him being like, ‘I will get this done with you.’”

RFK Jr.’s Running Mate Blisters Kamala, Democratic Party, Praises Trump

In an interview released on Tuesday, Nicole Shanahan, independent candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr.&#8217;s running mate, said she and Kennedy have discussed joining forces with former President Donald Trump to prevent a Kamala Harris presidency.
“There’s two options that we’re looking at and one is staying in, forming that new party, but we run the risk of a Kamala Karris and Walz presidency because we draw votes from Trump,” Shanahan on the <a href="https://impacttheory.com/">Impact Theory</a> podcast, which was <a href="https://x.com/TomBilyeu/status/1825921985165300152">recorded</a> on Monday. “Or we walk away right now and join forces with Donald Trump and you know, we walk away from that and we explain to our base why we’re making this decision,”  Shanahan continued.

“Some polls suggest that the Democratic nominee, Vice President Harris, would be stronger against Trump in swing states when Kennedy is included as a candidate, as opposed to when Kennedy is not an option,” CNBC <a href="https://www.cnbc.com/2024/08/20/rfk-jr-campaign-trump-alliance-shanahan.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">noted</a>.
Last week, RFK Jr. posted a lengthy tweet on X stating he would not support Kamala Harris and had a plan to defeat her. He wrote:

Kennedy Jr.</a> announced on Tuesday that he has selected Nicole Shanahan to be his vice presidential running mate as he continues to run as an Independent after dropping out of the Democratic Party&#8217;s presidential primary late last year.
Shanahan — the ex-wife of Google co-founder Sergey Brin — has a history of <a href="https://www.nytimes.com/2024/03/26/us/politics/rfk-jr-vice-president-nicole-shanahan.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">donating</a> to Democrat politicians and is the president and founder of an organization that <a href="https://www.influencewatch.org/person/nicole-shanahan/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">invests</a> in leftist criminal justice policy, environmentalism, abortion access, and more.
RFK made the announcement at a rally in Oakland, California, as he touted her alleged expertise in a variety of fields.
&#8220;I managed to find a technologist at the forefront of AI. She has spent the last decade relying on neural networks, artificial intelligence, and cutting edge science to identify abuses in our government,&#8221; he said. &#8220;She understands that the health of every American is a national security issue and a national security risk. Her work has proven time and again that health drives our economy and it is the foundation of our mental health, our national happiness, our ability to lead the world and innovation and prosperity and at peace. I also wanted someone with an athlete, who could help me inspire Americans to heal, to get them back in shape.&#8221;
Kennedy said that it was important to him to find someone with &#8220;a spiritual dimension and compassion and idealism.&#8221;
