The National Security Agency removed its top lawyer after The Daily Wire exposed her past work investigating President Donald Trump for Democrats and penning op-eds praising censorship and defending the intelligence community’s treatment of Trump associates like Carter Page.
The intelligence agency&#8217;s webpage listing April Doss as general counsel was deleted and “multiple former officials” told The <a href="https://www.nytimes.com/2025/07/29/us/politics/nsa-lawyer-fired.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">New York Times</a> that Doss had been removed. The removal shows that, after Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard said documents show a conspiracy of “manufactured intelligence” to sabotage the president, the Trump administration is taking steps to ensure that people involved in the discredited probe are not still actively working in key roles.
Sen. Mark Warner (D-VA), when serving as the top Democrat on the Senate intelligence panel, hired Doss to tie Trump to Russia. Warner lashed out at her firing, further illustrating her close ties to Democrats.
“We should be outraged by the firing of April Doss, a deeply principled public servant, apparently for the role that she played in the Senate Intelligence Committee’s bipartisan investigation into Russian election interference,” Warner said, according to <a href="https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/trump-administration/live-blog/trump-starmer-tariffs-china-trade-immigration-israel-gaza-live-updates-rcna221282#rcrd85608" target="_blank" rel="noopener">NBC</a>. “Her dismissal appears to be the result of a politically motivated smear campaign driven by a far-right conspiracy theorist, not any legitimate concern about her conduct or qualifications.”
The Daily Wire&#8217;s <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/dem-senators-russia-hoax-investigator-is-top-lawyer-at-trumps-national-security-agency?author=Luke+Rosiak&amp;category=News&amp;elementPosition=1&amp;row=0&amp;rowType=Vertical+List&amp;title=Democrat+Russia+Hoax+Investigator+Is+Now+Top+Lawyer+At+Trump’s+National+Security+Agency">July 23 story</a> showed how Doss had repeatedly made mistakes by advocating for the might of the security state to clamp down on “misinformation” in cases where she turned out to be wrong. That included using criticism of vaccines as justification for crackdowns and blaming Republican “extremists” for a plot to kidnap Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer, where there is evidence that federal assets actually entrapped the suspects.
Doss falsely accused Trump — until this week her boss — of causing an “insurrection,” despite no one being charged with such a crime, and said the January 6 protest was “deadly,” a reference to the false claims that protesters had killed police there. She also defended the treatment of Michael Flynn and Carter Page.
Doss’s strong advocacy for censorship by the government and tech firms put her at odds with important policy planks of the Trump administration. Trump’s Federal Trade Commission has aggressively <a href="https://www.nytimes.com/2025/06/02/technology/ftc-investigation-advertising-boycotts.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">investigated</a> ad firms for their role in censoring so-called disinformation, such as the New York Post’s true story about Hunter Biden’s laptop.
The story also explained how NSA officials concealed Doss’s 2022 hire from Congress because officials and Democrats had blocked the appointment of a Republican with a similar background into the same general counsel role in Trump’s first term, calling it inappropriately political — a move they knew would open them to charges of double standards if Doss’s hiring were known.
Just as they did during the failed Russia investigation, the media and Democrats worked together to spread misinformation after Doss was terminated.
Warner said Doss “appeared to” have been fired because of Laura Loomer, after the Times used the sub-headline “a far-right conspiracy theorist had amplified criticism of the lawyer and her previous work.” Much of the article’s framing revolved around the fact that Loomer had shared an X post summarizing The Daily Wire’s story, while omitting the story’s actual findings, other than the fact that Doss had previously worked for Democrats.
Although the Times&#8217; decision to focus on a literal retweet instead of the actual story was unusual, the rest of the media immediately adopted it verbatim, with MSNBC&#8217;s headline blaring &#8220;Right-wing influencer allegedly helps oust a National Security Agency leader (again),&#8221; and The Daily Beast saying &#8220;Witch Hunter Laura Loomer Claims Scalp of NSA’s Top Lawyer.&#8221;
The Times’ claim that Doss’s removal was due to Loomer — which the paper used to discredit the move, because it has previously painted her as a “far-right” conspiracy theorist with inappropriate influence in the Trump administration — was also based on misinformation, with the paper saying an anonymous person told it “Loomer’s criticism appeared to have a role in the firing.”
It is unlikely that the Pentagon first heard about this from Loomer. The Daily Wire first contacted the Pentagon with questions regarding Doss on July 17.

Trump-Hating Russia Hoax Investigator Fired As Top NSA Lawyer

A top lawyer for President Donald Trump&#8217;s National Security Agency previously worked for Senate Democrats on their discredited probe attempting to tie Trump to Russia and has a history of partisan anti-Trump activism, a Daily Wire investigation reveals.
April Falcon Doss is the current general counsel for the NSA, the powerful cyber-intelligence agency, according to the agency’s <a href="https://archive.is/6EaPo" target="_blank" rel="noopener">website</a>. A longtime veteran of the agency, Doss also worked as an NSA intelligence lawyer from 2003 to April 2016. But in between those two stints, she worked on the highly-partisan congressional investigation into Russian involvement in the 2016 election.
Just months into Trump&#8217;s first term as president, she took a <a href="https://www.businessinsider.com/april-doss-will-join-senate-intelligence-committee-russia-investigation-2017-4">high-level job</a> working for Sen. Mark Warner (D-VA) on the Senate Intelligence Committee, investigating supposed Russian interference in the 2016 election. Doss was the Democrats&#8217; Senior Counsel for the committee&#8217;s Russia investigation, which conducted hundreds of interviews in its failed attempt to find evidence of conspiracy between Trump and Russia.
The Daily Wire’s discovery of Doss’s continuing employment at the top level of the intelligence community comes as newly-revealed documents provide further evidence of unethical conduct by Democrats and the intelligence state aimed at sabotaging Trump. Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard submitted a criminal referral over what she called a conspiracy of <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/doj-receives-tusli-gabbards-criminal-referral-for-obama-russia-intel-controversy-report">&#8220;manufactured intelligence&#8221;</a>, and Trump has said the documents could support the prosecution of people as high up as former President Barack Obama, and his top intelligence chiefs, James Comey and James Clapper.
Doss is a transparently partisan activist who has written publicly about her opposition to Trump. She has called for Trump to be permanently banned from social media for staging an &#8220;insurrection,&#8221; attacked Republicans for opposing a crackdown on &#8220;disinformation,&#8221; and defended the treatment of Trump aides Carter Page and Michael Flynn at the hands of the intelligence state.
<a href="https://therecord.media/nsa-quietly-appoints-new-top-lawyer" target="_blank" rel="noopener">The Record</a> reported in June 2022 that the NSA, during the Biden administration, had re-hired Doss for the top role. The intelligence agency didn&#8217;t publicly announce the hire, it reported, because it didn&#8217;t want to “stir the hornet’s nest among Capitol Hill Republicans.” That&#8217;s because in the interim, Democrats, &#8220;experts,&#8221; and intelligence officials had decried it as improper — and ultimately blocked it — when Trump had attempted to name a Republican former House intelligence committee staffer to the same role.
The Trump administration appointed Michael Ellis to the job in November 2020, but then-NSA Director Gen. Paul Nakasone placed him on administrative leave the day he saw sworn in, while an investigation into whether Ellis&#8217;s hire was appropriate ensued. The investigation ultimately found no wrongdoing, but by that time, Ellis had resigned.
The job remained without a permanent occupant until Doss — after brief stop back at the same private practice — filled it. The general counsel job is considered a “career civil service” position, so she remained in the Trump administration, even as Trump sought to prevent a repeat of his first term, which was derailed by left-wing “deep state” intelligence actors pushing a cyber-conspiracy.
The divergent treatment of two people with similar backgrounds echoed those concerns. In Ellis&#8217;s case, Trump’s own NSA brass tried to stop a Republican from being hired in a Republican administration, and he was driven out by the early months of the Biden administration. In Doss&#8217;s case, Biden’s NSA approved the hiring of a Democrat, and worked to hide it. Thus far, she&#8217;s been retained in the second Trump administration.
Doss— who “earned her J.D. degree from the University of California at Berkeley, and received an M.F.A. degree from Goucher College,” according to the NSA website — also taught at <a href="https://gufaculty360.georgetown.edu/s/faculty-in-the-news?id=0031Q00002NrTLXQA3" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Georgetown University</a>. In that role, she published essays reflecting a personal opposition to Trump.
Writing for Just Security in May 2021, Doss <a href="https://www.justsecurity.org/76061/facebooks-oversight-board-didnt-solve-the-content-moderation-riddle-we-shouldnt-be-surprised/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">celebrated</a> that “at long last,” President Trump had been banned from all major social media platforms. In the essay, she blamed Trump for “deaths at the Capitol and a serious attempt to prevent certification of the election, plus the ongoing ‘Big Lie’ – the sustained set of evidence-free claims that the 2020 presidential election was stolen.” (The idea that right-wing rioters killed police on January 6 turned out to be, itself, misinformation.)
Doss also slams Republican efforts to prevent censorship, and said Republican conspiracy theories like “the rapid spread of anti-vaccination propaganda” necessitated a wide-ranging crackdown on “disinformation.”
In November 2020, she wrote an op-ed advising the “Biden-Harris Administration” on <a href="https://www.justsecurity.org/73538/data-and-democracy-three-things-the-biden-harris-administration-should-do-to-tackle-big-tech/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">racial equity</a>, and how to crack down on “disinformation” like Qanon and “extremism” like the right-wing plot to kidnap the governor of Michigan. (Many of the defendants in that alleged plot were later acquitted after their attorneys presented evidence that government assets had <a href="https://apnews.com/article/michigan-whitmer-kidnap-plot-appeal-539a9dd44027a5f8aff729d778dc8f5b">lured and encouraged them</a>).
In a July 2021 article called “The Tucker Carlson <a href="https://www.justsecurity.org/77299/the-tucker-carlson-disinformation-show/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Disinformation Show</a>,” she attacked Carlson for calling Nakasone, the NSA director in the first Trump administration, a “far-left partisan.” Nakasone was the one who drove out the Republican general counsel, ultimately opening the slot for Doss.
“Carlson’s repeated assertion that it’s &#8216;illegal&#8217; for the NSA to spy on Americans is untrue,” Doss wrote. She dismissed Republicans’ objections to the targeting of Trump officials, mockingly imagining conservatives saying “but Carter Page…” and “But Michael Flynn….”
In response to The Daily Wire&#8217;s inquiry, a spokesman for the Department of Defense, which oversees the NSA, said it was looking into the matter.
In April, President Trump fired Gen. Timothy Haugh, who led the NSA since 2023, after a meeting with Laura Loomer. Last month, the White House vetoed the Pentagon’s nomination for his replacement, Lt. Gen. Richard Angle, <a href="https://www.politico.com/news/2025/06/20/richard-angle-nsa-cyber-command-00415619" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Politico</a> reported.
Senator Warner, Doss’ former boss, has been railing at Gabbard for releasing documents about the five-alarm effort by the intelligence community to tie Trump to Russia during his first term, with Warner <a href="https://x.com/MarkWarner/status/1947370490969854447">asking</a>: “What was Tulsi Gabbard trying to distract from with her insulting lies about the Russia investigation?”

High-ranking U.S. intelligence officials directed agencies to gather information on Greenland last week as part of President Trump&#8217;s determined effort to acquire the mineral-rich Arctic island.
Several high-ranking officials under Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard issued a classified &#8220;collection emphasis message&#8221; to intelligence agency heads last week, instructing them to acquire intel regarding Greenland&#8217;s independence movement and identify people supportive of U.S. objectives, top officials <a href="https://www.wsj.com/world/greenland-spying-us-intelligence-809c4ef2?mod=hp_lead_pos1">told</a> The Wall Street Journal.
A &#8220;collection emphasis message&#8221; indicates a high priority objective for intelligence agencies, whose collection resources include surveillance satellites, intercepting electronic communications, and even agents on the ground.
Gabbard gave tacit confirmation of the directive’s existence in a statement admonishing the WSJ, writing: “The Wall Street Journal should be ashamed of aiding deep state actors who seek to undermine the President by politicizing and leaking classified information. They are breaking the law and undermining our nation’s security and democracy.&#8221;
The classified directive, sent to the CIA, Defense Intelligence Agency, and National Security Agency, marks one of the first tangible moves toward carrying out President Trump&#8217;s desire to acquire the mineral-rich, geopolitically significant territory.
National Security Council spokesman James Hewitt declined to comment on the leaked intelligence, but did state, “The president has been very clear that the U.S. is concerned about the security of Greenland and the Arctic.”
&#8220;We need Greenland for national security and even international security, and we&#8217;re working with everybody involved to try and get it,&#8221; President Trump stated during a March joint address to Congress. &#8220;One way or the other, we&#8217;re going to get it.&#8221;
Vice President JD Vance, then-National Security Adviser Mike Waltz, and Energy Secretary Chris Wright traveled to Greenland in March, prompting Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen to <a href="https://www.wsj.com/world/greenlanders-are-angry-and-confused-over-unwanted-u-s-visit-87e701c2">complain</a> of &#8220;completely unacceptable pressure on Greenland.&#8221;
The approximately 836,000 square mile territory is <a href="https://www.npr.org/2019/11/24/781598549/greenland-is-not-for-sale-but-it-has-the-rare-earth-minerals-america-wants">estimated</a> to hold roughly a quarter of the world’s rare-earth minerals necessary for various technologies, along <a href="https://www.pbs.org/newshour/science/greenland-suspends-oil-exploration-because-of-climate-change">with</a> an estimated 17.5 billion undiscovered barrels of oil and 148 trillion cubic feet of natural gas that could strengthen American energy independence.
The intelligence directive comes as the Arctic has become an increasingly <a href="https://www.thearcticinstitute.org/new-cold-war-china-declares-near-arctic-state/">contested</a> geopolitical arena, with China declaring itself a &#8220;near-Arctic state&#8221; and Russia expanding its military presence in the region.
Moscow has reopened Soviet-era Arctic bases and deployed nuclear-capable missiles to its northern territories, while Beijing has invested billions in Arctic infrastructure projects, including <a href="https://www.wsj.com/articles/how-the-pentagon-countered-chinas-designs-on-greenland-11549812296">attempts</a> to finance airports in Greenland that were ultimately blocked by Denmark with U.S. support.
Danish officials have repeatedly rebuffed Trump&#8217;s interest in acquiring the island, with Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen <a href="https://www.reuters.com/world/denmark-pm-repeats-that-greenland-is-not-sale-2025-02-03/">saying</a> in February: &#8220;Greenland is today a part of the kingdom of Denmark. It is part of our territory, and it&#8217;s not for sale.&#8221;
However, some Greenlandic independence advocates have expressed increasing openness to stronger ties with the United States in recent months.
One resident told the New York Post in March, “I think we need change here in Greenland. We are tired of the Danish colonialism,” <a href="https://nypost.com/2025/03/27/us-news/trumps-greenlandic-supporters-lean-away-from-denmark-aim-to-build-us-ties-make-greenland-great-again/">said</a> Lars Kleist, a Greenlandic Inuit who said he lost his job in 2020 because of his pro-independence views. “When you enter the town, everything is ruled by the Danish,” who are only 10% of the population.
As such, the intelligence directive specifically instructed agencies to assess Greenland&#8217;s political landscape and identify local leaders who might be receptive to American overtures, according to sources familiar with the order.

On Monday, Jeffrey Goldberg, the execrable editor of The Atlantic, dropped a bombshell story. Goldberg is basically a stand-in for Barack Obama&#8217;s foreign policy team.
He broke the <a href="https://www.theatlantic.com/politics/archive/2025/03/trump-administration-accidentally-texted-me-its-war-plans/682151/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">story</a> that he was accidentally included in a Signal chat that was basically comprised of every top member of Team Trump in the national security sphere, ranging from the Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth, to National Security Advisor Mike Waltz, to Vice President of the United States JD Vance, to Stephen Miller, a top adviser to President Trump.
They were all in a Signal chat discussing the upcoming military strike on the Houthis. Waltz accidentally included Goldberg in this Signal chat.
What exactly happened here? The answer is almost certainly that Waltz meant to include the U.S. Trade Representative Jamieson Greer.
Signal is an encrypted messaging service that is basically supposed to be uncrackable by outside sources. When using Signal — as I myself do — you can choose how your name appears in its identity line. You can either pick your full name or your initials.
My assumption is that Jamieson Greer opted to use his initials, “JG,” and that whoever put together the group selected Jeffrey Goldberg of The Atlantic instead.
This does not mean, as so many folks who do not like Mike Waltz surmise, that he was regularly chatting with Goldberg. It just means that Goldberg was in a list of contacts that included Greer, both of them used their initials “JG,” and he selected the wrong one.
Obviously, the biggest issue is the leak itself. How did this happen?

President Trump was asked about this yesterday, and said, “I don&#8217;t know anything about it. I&#8217;m not a big fan of The Atlantic. To me, it&#8217;s a magazine that&#8217;s going out of business. I think it&#8217;s not much of a magazine, but I know nothing about it.” When told the chat was discussing the attack on the Houthis, Trump <a href="https://x.com/yashar/status/1904250234236289151">replied</a>, “The Houthis? You mean the attack on the Houthis? Well, it couldn&#8217;t have been very effective because the [U.S.] attack was very effective. I can tell you that.”
When Hegseth was asked about this, he <a href="https://x.com/DODResponse/status/1904311661629964334" target="_blank" rel="noopener">tore into</a> The Atlantic as well: “So you&#8217;re talking about a deceitful and highly discredited so-called journalist who&#8217;s made a profession of peddling hoaxes time and time again, to include the, I don&#8217;t know, the hoaxes of ‘Russia, Russia, Russia’ or the ‘fine people on both sides’ hoax or ‘it&#8217;s suckers and losers’ hoax. This is a guy who peddles in garbage.”
I&#8217;m on board. I think The Atlantic, particularly Goldberg, is not a good representative of the journalistic institution. He was basically a stenographer for Barack Obama. But it was confirmed that the Signal chat involved all these players, and the story was real.
That raises a couple of questions. One is legal. There are people who are attempting to claim that this was somehow violative of criminal law, that this was a breach of Official Records Acts because an auto-delete function can be activated in Signal chats.
The use of terms in The Atlantic piece such as “high side” suggests that there was an entire other thread that was going on inside these sort of classified government rooms. That was preserved. So, there&#8217;s that.
Second, the president of the United States has the ability to simply declassify whatever he wants. So the idea that this is some violation of law is overstated. Is it a scandal? Sure, it&#8217;s a scandal when there&#8217;s a screwup this big. If you accidentally include a journalist in a high-ranking discussion about the precise location of a bombing, that is a major problem, of course. It is a breach of security.
But I am not willing to hear such claims from people on the Democratic side of the aisle who were perfectly fine with the Hillary Clinton email issue. This is one of the lines that the Left is hammering: “You guys, you fussed all about Hillary Clinton and her emails and keeping those on her own private server.”
First, we should recognize that what Hillary Clinton did and what happened here (inviting a journalist into a group chat) are both quite bad. Obviously, that involves high-ranking discussions of national security matters that are classified. That is a giant booboo.
As much as I despise Goldberg as a human being, I think he actually did the responsible thing in not printing, for example, operational details or blowing the operation beforehand, which he certainly could have done.
With that said, the reason that everyone is so casual about the use of classified material these days is because of the original sin of James Comey not prosecuting Hillary Clinton over her emails. That set up an entire permission structure for people to mishandle classified materials — unless you’re a Republican.
That is the way this works. If Hillary Clinton uses classified materials, and she puts them on a private server — which Comey of the FBI openly acknowledged was likely accessed by foreign sources — and no prosecution attends, how can that rule apply to anybody else?
This is why it was so ridiculous when they tried to go after Trump for the mishandling of classified documents at Mar-a-Lago at the same exact time that Joe Biden had classified documents in his garage.
This issue is largely played out, in the sense that while something can be a giant screwup, nobody takes it as a criminal-level screwup at this point. That was laid to rest in 2015 and 2016 by the operation to let Clinton off the hook back for her email scandal.
When the Left says, “We&#8217;ve now heard the end about her emails,” the reality is, “But her emails,” was the inciting event for an entire string of mishandling of classified materials on both sides of the aisle.
Some Democrats say this could have cost lives. As it stands, that is hypothetical and did not happen in reality. A giant screwup is not quite the same thing as an intentional move to endanger human life on the American side of the aisle.
It&#8217;s also worth noting that many of the same people who are very upset with this particular situation would have been perfectly happy if the war plan had been leaked by a Trump administration insider and printed on the front page of The New York Times — which happened all the time in the first Trump administration.
What is interesting is the mobilization on one side of the Republican aisle against Waltz in particular, because there are really two issues that are of note with regard to this leak.
One is the leak itself, which obviously is deeply noteworthy. And the administration should make sure nothing like this ever happens again.
But then, there is the second issue, which is what was actually said in the leak. I have noticed that the partisans of Vance are saying that the real story is the leak, while partisans of Waltz are saying that the real story is what was said in the chat.
The answer is both. Both of these things are actual real stories, and neither should be obscured.
People who are fans of the vice president are shifting the focus away from what Vance actually said in the chat, which is another fascinating aspect to this.
This is a window into the open foreign policy debates happening inside the Trump administration. Trump says we are going to reopen freedom of trade and freedom of the seas. We&#8217;re going to strike the Houthis; we&#8217;re not going to be cowards as the Biden administration was.
A consequential discussion ensues in the chat: part of the administration says we need to go punch the Houthis in the mouth, but Vance says we should not punch the Houthis in the mouth and then puts forward a pretty milquetoast delay tactic. Vance posited an open disagreement with President Trump: “I&#8217;m not sure the president is aware how inconsistent this is with his message on Europe right now.”
It isn’t. Striking the Houthis is not inconsistent with his messaging on Europe.
By the way, the argument that only 3% of U.S. trade runs through the Suez but 40% of European trade does and thus it doesn&#8217;t matter for the United States if trade moves through the Suez Canal is incredibly silly because trade is intertwined. If the price of goods drastically goes up in Europe, then the price of goods in the United States will go up as well — because we trade with Europe.
Vance’s remarks bespeak an entirely different geopolitical strategy than what the Trump administration as a whole has been promoting. When looking past the leak issue to the actual content, Waltz, Hegseth, and Miller reflect the priorities of the president of the United States.
But Vance? Not so much. When he says, “This is really about cramming it down on the Europeans, so why don&#8217;t the Europeans do it,” he knows full well that the Europeans are not capable of taking on the Houthis. He also understands how global trade works.
This really suggests that the vice president has a very different view of foreign policy from Trump’s, a view that he expressed pretty clearly before he was vice president when he said he didn&#8217;t care whether Russia took Ukraine. That is certainly a view that bespeaks of foreign policy and spheres of influence — essentially, that Russia should have its own sphere of influence in Eastern Europe, stretching all the way down into the Middle East, and that the United States should basically remove itself from the world, which may or may not mean a broader sphere of influence for the Chinese.
Vance has a very different foreign policy than the Trump foreign policy. That&#8217;s just reality.
When he makes statements that openly conflict with the President of the United States’ statements, that is another side to this story.

Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard recently completed her second international trip, where she met with world leaders from Japan to Thailand to focus on advancing &#8220;America First policies&#8221; across the Indo-Pacific region, according to a summary of her trip shared with The Daily Wire.
During her trip, Gabbard went to Hawaii, Japan, Thailand, India, and France, a spokesman for the Office of the Director of National Intelligence said. 
“President Trump remains unwavering in his commitment to achieving peace through a strategy rooted in realism and pragmatism,” Gabbard said. “Securing peace through strength requires strong leadership with a clear-eyed and realistic understanding of global challenges and opportunities, a commitment to fostering cultural and economic ties that reduce the likelihood of an escalation to conflict, and a dedication to reinforcing mutual interests.”
While in Hawaii, Gabbard spoke with U.S. Indo-Pacific Commander Admiral Samuel Paparo, senior NSA leaders and intelligence officers, and Naval Special Warfare sailors.

While in Japan and Thailand, Gabbard met with intelligence officers and other senior diplomats to discuss intelligence collaboration.
&#8220;While she did not have the opportunity to visit Hiroshima or Nagasaki during this trip, she looks forward to doing so on her next visit to the region, to honor the lives lost, highlight the immeasurable cost of nuclear war, and President Trump’s commitment to counterproliferation and preventing nuclear war,&#8221; the spokesman said. 
Gabbard met with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to discuss intelligence-sharing and counterterrorism. She also spoke in India at the Raisina Dialogue, an Indian conference on geopolitics and economics.

According to reporting by Chris Rufo and Hannah Grossman at City Journal, employees of the National Security Agency and other Intelligence agencies have been gathering on a work-related chatroom to discuss their transgender surgeries and kinky sex preferences.
Now I don’t know about you, but I’m thinking: Wow! That’s a relief! Here I was worried about the growing threat from China, an imperialist genocidal slave state that’s not only outstripping our military in preparation to destroy us at war, but has already infiltrated our society through congress, universities, corporations, Hollywood, and the news media in order to influence our politics, steal our technology and silence critics of their evil regime.
But why worry? The brave men and women of our Intelligence Community have been on the job — along with the brave men in our Intelligence Community who think they&#8217;re brave women and the brave women who identify as brave men, and the brave non-binaries who identify as brave lesbians so they can have sex with other brave lesbians because essentially they’re really just brave men who happen to want to wear glittery mascara for some reason — but anyway the point is that all these brave mentally ill perverts of the Intelligence Community are hard at work responding to the insidious Chinese penetration of our society by going on a chat site to discuss how to turn their penises into fake vaginas so they can enjoy some insidious penetration as well.
So sure, it is true that the Chinese Navy is growing by leaps and bounds while our Navy dwindles to nothing and that one Chinese shipyard can produce more vessels than all American shipyards combined, but at least we can feel confident that somewhere, an NSA employee is online chatting about how cool Xi Jinping is because he is called “she” and so is he… called she… if you see what I mean.

And okay, American news outlets like CBS, NBC, ABC and CNN are likely suppressing critical information about China because they’re all owned by entertainment conglomerates that have already proven themselves willing to crawl through the dirt like spineless centipedes to protect their profits by censoring content at the behest of Chinese tyrants. But at least our American Intelligence agents are sharing critical information like how to create an SM dungeon in your own basement so Chinese political dissidents won&#8217;t be the only ones to enjoy getting tortured.
And yes, Xi Jinping has declared that his international enemies will: “Have their heads bashed bloody against a Great Wall of steel forged by over 1.4 billion Chinese People.” But those who guard our nation secretly have answered that declaration by themselves declaring that if you take enough estrogen to grow breasts, you can stay home and fondle yourself and cut out the middle man.
Don’t get me wrong. The Intelligence Community has been shown to spy on Americans’ private phone and email communications, so I wouldn’t want to insult any of them by calling them a bunch of delusion-riddled deviants who would be more usefully employed shuffling up and down the hall of a secure psych ward with their bleached asses hanging out the back of their half-open hospital gowns, than being tasked with anything as urgent as foiling the Chinese in their long term plan to exterminate American freedom as they’ve exterminated Uigurs, Tibetans, Christians and the Falun Gong. And given the power of Chinese-influencers to destroy my career, my reputation and my life by mobilizing the American politicians and corporations that have sold their souls to this hostile foreign power for a few pocketsful of gold, I would never ever want to suggest that the bizarre proliferation of delusion-riddled deviants in our Intelligence Community is in any way connected to Chinese operations like TikTok, where millions of American young people are unwittingly guided to videos encouraging them to become delusion-riddled deviants like the useless clowns at the NSA.
So if I’ve offended the Intelligence Community or the transgender community or our dear friends the Chinese, I just want to say I’m han han han han so sorry because it’s han han han han han so important that all of us can be free to be ourselves until none of us is free at all.

The answer, for those of us who&#8217;ve been watching politics for the last 20 years, is pretty obvious: The Democrats did it. They decided to scorn the American people. They decided to label all the people in America who disagree with them as “bitter clingers” and “deplorables.” They decided going to church was a mark of someone’s stupidity. They decided Americans were racist, sexist, bigots, and homophobes in the cockles of their heart. They decided that all of the auspices of American government had to be brought to pressure Americans into their version of virtue, complete with signaling such as pronoun-signaling.
And yet they remain absolutely puzzled as to why Americans aren&#8217;t buying what they are selling?
It must be the stupidity of Americans, they would say. It can&#8217;t be that they chose every wrong position it&#8217;s possible to take in American politics, and now the American people have rejected them.
Oh, no. Not that.
A perfect example of this came out yesterday, courtesy of our friend and leading conservative activist Chris Rufo.
The job of the National Security Agency (NSA) is to collect, analyze, and share intelligence to protect the United States from foreign enemies. As it turns out, like many other institutions in American government and American public life, the NSA has been honeycombed with leftist nonsense, absolute tripe, and, in this case, perverse, disgusting, and pornographic leftist tripe.

Rufo reports that sources within the NSA — one current employee and one former employee — provided chat logs from the NSA&#8217;s interlink messaging program. Rufo <a href="https://www.city-journal.org/article/national-security-agency-internal-chatroom-transgender-surgeries-polyamory" target="_blank" rel="noopener">writes</a>:
<blockquote>We have cultivated sources within the National Security Agency—one current employee and one former employee—who have provided chat logs from the NSA’s Intelink messaging program. According to an NSA press official, “All NSA employees sign agreements stating that publishing non-mission related material on Intelink is a usage violation and will result in disciplinary action.” Nonetheless, these logs, dating back two years, are lurid, featuring wide-ranging discussions of sex, kink, polyamory, and castration.</blockquote>
During their government employment using government networks, they have been talking about their particular fetishes. This is supposed to be part of the “equity agenda.” The equity agenda is to make sure that people who are sexually diverse staff the NSA. That&#8217;s the important thing — not stopping foreign threats, not monitoring terrorist groups. The important thing is that weirdos who think it&#8217;s some sort of turn on to cut off their genitals can talk to one another.
For the Left, our institutions are about reshaping the human beings who go into them and then using those reshaped human beings to reshape the United States of America. The institutions are not about fulfilling the delegated functions of those institutions.
The Department of Education is not about educating children. The Department of Education is about creating pipelines to Left-wing interest groups that then reshape the nature of the American body politic. And apparently, the NSA is about providing a safe space for people to discuss having their butthole zapped with lasers.
I&#8217;m not kidding.
Then, according to Rufo, these employees are presumably able to use their access to foreign intelligence and domestic intelligence in order to target political enemies.
He continues:
<blockquote>One popular chat topic was male-to-female transgender surgery, which involves surgically removing the penis and turning it into an artificial vagina. “[M]ine is everything,” said one male who claimed to have had gender reconstruction surgery. “[I]’ve found that i like being penetrated (never liked it before GRS), but all the rest is just as important as well.” Another intelligence official boasted that genital surgery allowed him “to wear leggings or bikinis without having to wear a gaff under it.” 
These employees discussed hair removal, estrogen injections, and the experience of sexual pleasure post-castration. “[G]etting my butthole zapped by a laser was . . . shocking,” said one transgender-identifying intel employee who spent thousands on hair removal. “Look, I just enjoy helping other people experience boobs,” said another about estrogen treatments. “[O]ne of the weirdest things that gives me euphoria is when i pee, i don’t have to push anything down to make sure it aims right,” a Defense Intelligence Agency employee added.</blockquote>
Do you feel safer? Do you feel that your church, synagogue, school, and public arena are now protected from terrorists?
After all, defense intelligence employees are quite happy they can sit when they pee safely.
Rufo continues:
<blockquote>According to our sources, the sex chats were legitimized as part of the NSA’s commitment to “diversity, equity and inclusion.” Activists within the agency used LGBTQ+ “employee resource groups” to turn their kinks and pathologies into official work duties. According to the current NSA employee, these groups “spent all day&#8221; recruiting activists and holding meetings with titles such as “Privilege,” “Ally Awareness,” “Pride,” and “Transgender Community Inclusion.” And they did so with the full support of NSA leadership, which declared that DEI was “not only mission critical, but mission imperative.” 
In this case, “diversity” was not a byword for racialism, but rather a euphemism for sex talk. Last January, chatroom members discussed their practice of polyamory, or “ethical non-monogamy.” “[A] polycule is a polyamorous group,” one employee explained. “A is my [girlfriend], and B-G are her partners. . . . then B&amp;C are dating but not C&amp;D, nor E, F, or G with any of the others, though there are several MWB (metas-with-benefits) connections.” Another employee claimed to be part of a nine-member “polycule,” adding that “some of our friends are practically poly-mers, with all the connected compounds.”</blockquote>
Rufo told me, “They have vitriolic feelings towards conservatives in particular. Two names that came up, of course, were Chaya Raichik of Libs of TikTok fame and the one and only Ben Shapiro. And they were going ballistic. I mean, they said at one point that you should be expelled from the tribe for constantly spouting hate speech. … The Trump administration is very concerned about this. … I can tell you that I&#8217;ve had phone calls and signal messages from not only the NSA, but the CIA and the Director of National Intelligence staff. And so they want to get to the bottom of this. I&#8217;m told that they&#8217;re going to be taking significant action.”
It&#8217;s easy to say, “It&#8217;s bad apples who have gotten involved in various chats with their kinks, in their anger at various conservatives.” But there really is something else going on here, which is that throughout our federal government, when Joe Biden said “equity” was going to dictate all policy throughout these federal agencies, he was not joking. That is reflected in this kind of insanity at the staffing level.
“The problem is quite deep because between the Obama administration and then the Biden administration, you have a huge sweep of time in which Left-wing gender activists seemingly hijacked not just the Department of Education or Department of Environmental Protection, but, in fact, the core agencies of our national security apparatus,” Rufo commented. “This should be a five-alarm fire for policymakers; it creates a huge vulnerability, in addition to the simple ideological problems that are obvious to all.”
When all of these radicals who are motivated to actually go after their enemies have the tools to do so, the possibility of actual malfeasance using the tools of law enforcement starts to grow exponentially.
“In theory, the NSA could listen to every phone call you make, could read every text message or email that you write,” Rufo said. “And in theory, this could be deployed by bad actors within the agency against domestic enemies. We know for a fact because of these chat logs, that they have very clear enemies who are in American politics. They&#8217;re unanimously conservative. And so I think that it is not beyond concern to fear that some of these tools could be deployed against domestic enemies. This is something that we should be on guard for.”
What does all of this mean in practical terms?
It means that Americans who are not fond of their institutions and believe them to be fundamentally broken are absolutely correct.

Activist and reporter Chris Rufo joined &#8220;The Ben Shapiro Show&#8221; to expose agents within the National Security Agency for insulting conservatives like Ben Shapiro in leaked government documents.
Members of one of the most powerful intelligence agencies in the world openly displayed their bias against conservatives in messages uncovered by Rufo, who said that the NSA agents “have vitriolic feelings against conservatives.”
“Any Jew who says Judeo-Christian without any irony as much as Ben Shapiro does should be expelled from the tribe,” one NSA agent said of the Daily Wire host and Editor Emeritus, with another writing: “I [am] for expelling Ben too.”

Yet another followed up, writing, “I’m Irish- and Italian-American, so I’m used to sharing my ethnicity with terrible people.” One agent responded: “it’s a little different for Jews. Ben is like having a relative who constantly spouts hate speech in public.”
NSA agents also called Chaiya Raichik, who runs the popular X account LibsofTikTok, a “f***ing monster” and celebrated when her account was temporarily suspended off of X, which was still Twitter at the time.
The revelation comes after Rufo highlighted NSA agents’ explicit sexual conversations that they also had on the government platform, including <a href="https://x.com/realchrisrufo/status/1894454218083426413">one exchange</a> in which intelligence officials pondered how a baby could be raised without gender in order to advance transgender ideology.
“An intersex birth would be a great opportunity to raise a kid as [non-binary] and let them choose later,” one NSA agent wrote.
Other agents within the NSA, CIA, and Defense Intelligence Agency <a href="https://x.com/realchrisrufo/status/1894064757142937904">discussed</a> “ethical non-monogamy,” a “polycule,” male-to-female sex change operations, and their sexual fetishes.
The Office of the Director of National Intelligence published one diversity newsletter <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/bidens-top-intelligence-agency-says-crossdressing-makes-man-better-intelligence-officer-internal-docs-show">obtained by The Daily Wire</a> in which one official said that crossdressing made him a “better intelligence officer.”
“I think my experiences as someone who crossdresses have sharpened the skills I use as an intelligence officer,” the anonymous intelligence officer wrote, going on to say he is now “more aware of, and hopefully more supportive of, my women colleagues.”
The Daily Wire previously revealed that the NSA created a <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/exclusive-leaked-nsa-doc-reveals-massive-woke-glossary-pushing-critical-race-theory-gender-ideology-on-govt-employees">34-page diversity glossary</a> that included terms like “white fragility,” “settler colonialism,” “transmisogyny,” “queer theory,” and even the so-called gender neutral pronouns of “ze” and “zir.”

The below story is the first part of a series on the Office of the Director of National Intelligence&#8217;s DEI newsletter, &#8220;The Dive.&#8221;
Agents at the Central Intelligence Agency, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, and throughout the intelligence community were distributed a newsletter that celebrated an intelligence official for crossdressing, saying that dressing up in women’s clothes makes him “a better intelligence officer,” according to an <a href="https://dw-wp-production.imgix.net/2024/03/714636299-READ-ODNI-Newsletter-States-Crossdressing-Makes-Man-Better-Intelligence-Officer.pdf">internal document</a> obtained by The Daily Wire. 
The Office of the Director of National Intelligence sent its internal newsletter, called “The Dive” and obtained by The Daily Wire through a Freedom of Information Act request, to personnel across the entire Intelligence Community. Featured in the newsletter was an article by an anonymous official claiming that crossdressing makes him a better intelligence officer.
&#8220;I am an intelligence officer, and I am a man who likes to wear women’s clothes sometimes,&#8221; the article, titled “My Gender Identity and Expression Make Me a Better Intelligence Officer,” states in its opening line. The author goes on to argue that his decision to crossdress “merits attention given the climate of discussion around the topic and where it sits in the larger conversation about gender identity and expression and professional appearance.”
The unclassified newsletter, which specifies on each page that it is &#8220;for official use only&#8221; and &#8220;not cleared for public release,&#8221; was released to The Daily Wire last week, though information such as names of authors are redacted throughout. It was created by the Office of the Director of National Intelligence&#8217;s IC Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility Office and sent to the entire Intelligence Community.
The ODNI is a <a href="https://www.dni.gov/index.php/who-we-are/leadership/director-of-national-intelligence">cabinet-level agency</a> overseeing the rest of the IC, including the CIA, FBI, NSA, and intelligence components in each branch of the military. The newsletter comes as both the Intelligence Community and the wider federal bureaucracy have institutionalized the DEI agenda throughout their practices under the Biden administration, all while Trump prepares to <a href="https://www.axios.com/2022/07/22/trump-presidency-schedule-f-federal-employees">gut the administrative state</a> if he returns to the White House.
“I think my experiences as someone who crossdresses have sharpened the skills I use as an intelligence officer,” the anonymous intelligence officer claims, going on to say he is now &#8220;more aware of, and hopefully more supportive of, my women colleagues.” He expands on the point, saying that he has a “better appreciation for how it can be uncomfortable to wear women’s clothes sometimes.&#8221;

&#8220;I know firsthand how wearing heels can make your feet hurt and make it take longer to walk somewhere,” he says.
The anonymous intelligence officer also admits that crossdressing in the workplace causes a distraction within the intelligence office, but he pleads that those around him will grow more supportive of his choice to wear women’s clothes.
“When I crossdress it still distracts people, even though it is professional,&#8221; he writes. &#8220;It is my hope that we can learn to accept a wider range of gender identities and expressions.&#8221;
The anonymous intelligence official went into even greater depth on his crossdressing habits. “Although I like wearing a bra, I know it isn’t comfortable for everyone, and is less comfortable after a few hours,” the stunning document from the office of the United States’ most powerful intelligence official reads. “On top of the biases that women often face at work, it must be hard to be uncomfortable too.”
He even went on to claim that crossdressing also makes him a better ally for those who identify as “LGBTQIA+,” saying that “everyone is better off if they can bring their whole self to work. I definitely felt that, and now have supportive allies.” The official goes on to say, “I am part of a community that is not the majority and sometimes feel discriminated against.”
The intelligence officer also praised an <a href="https://www.odni.gov/files/documents/ICD/ICD_125-Gender-Identity-and-Inclusivity.pdf">ODNI directive</a> mandating that the intelligence community hold an annual transgender awareness training and requiring intelligence officials to use the “chosen name” and pronouns of colleagues who identify as the opposite sex.
He also discussed how crossdressing relates to gender more broadly. “It is challenging for some people to understand crossdressing, and non-binary or genderfluid people because gender is a part of overall identity,” the officer writes. “Many of us think of our identities as fixed, and some find this approach to gender threatening to their own identity.”
The author explains the difference between crossdressing and drag performances, the latter of which he says is “performative and traditionally associated with gay male culture” before pointing out that “crossdressing can be part of the journey of transgender people as they begin to affirm their true identity, but cross dressing is deliberately choosing to dress like the gender you aren’t.”
In addition to empowering him as an ally, the author says that his experience as a crossdresser has made him “better at understanding clandestine assets and their motivations” and “at understanding foreign actors.”
An ODNI spokeswoman confirmed that the newsletter was sent out to every element of the Intelligence Community.
“The IC Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Accessibility (<a href="https://www.dni.gov/index.php/who-we-are/organizations/339-about/organization/diversity-equity-and-inclusion">IC DEIA</a>) Office manages the IC&#8217;s efforts to build a diverse and inclusive workforce, and as part of their work, they distribute The Dive, a quarterly magazine, to each IC element&#8217;s DEIA office and/or Equal Employment Opportunity office,” the spokeswoman told The Daily Wire.
The quarterly newsletter is an effort to &#8220;enlighten readers,&#8221; it explains.
“We seek to engage with officers across the IC, enlighten readers about advancements in DEIA, and empower every employee to speak their truth,” the end of the newsletter reads. “We have four teams: Analysis and Assessments, Communications and Branding, Outreach and Education, Strategy and Policy,” the IC DEIA Office went on to explain.
Rep. Mike Waltz (R-FL), a member of the House Select Committee on Intelligence and combat-decorated U.S. Army veteran who fought in the elite Green Berets, said the newsletter is another example of misplaced priorities.

The ODNI newsletter is the latest example of the United States Intelligence Community advancing far-left ideologies. The National Security Agency (NSA) published an internal DEI glossary, <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/exclusive-leaked-nsa-doc-reveals-massive-woke-glossary-pushing-critical-race-theory-gender-ideology-on-govt-employees">exclusively obtained</a> by The Daily Wire, that included terms like “white fragility,” “transmisogyny,” “settler colonialism,” and even the gender neutral pronouns of “ze” and “zir.”
Other federal agencies have poured millions of taxpayer funds into DEI initiatives, with the Pentagon spending as much as <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/bidens-pentagon-slated-to-spend-nearly-270-million-on-diversity-agenda">$270 million</a> under Biden to advance the leftwing agenda. There’s also the State Department, which the Daily Wire <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/exclusive-state-department-forced-to-disclose-multi-million-dollar-cost-of-bidens-diversity-agenda">exclusively revealed</a> had spent over $77 million over two years under Biden on DEI programs, with hundreds of millions more in requests for DEI-related initiatives.
Far-left beliefs on race and gender have been embedded within both the intelligence community and the wider federal government in large part due to executive orders from Biden that sought to institutionalize extreme ideologies into the operations of the federal bureaucracy. Former President Donald Trump has signaled that he may gut the federal bureaucracy through an executive order called Schedule F, which would remove civil services protections from thousands of bureaucrats who threaten to undermine his agenda.
Others are preparing to fill in the gap left by outgoing officials, assembling a personnel database of those who might serve in the next administration through the <a href="https://www.project2025.org/">Project 2025</a> Presidential Transition Project, an initiative from the Heritage Foundation that seeks to “pave the way for an effective conservative Administration.”

The National Security Agency, responsible for monitoring threats both foreign and domestic for the U.S. military, assumed a new responsibility under the Biden administration — creating a massive glossary of woke terms for employees, ranging from “anti-racist” to the gender-neutral pronouns “ze” and “zir.”
A copy of the <a href="https://dw-wp-production.imgix.net/2023/11/NSA-DEI-GLOSSARY-WM-FINAL.pdf">NSA’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Glossary</a> obtained and verified by The Daily Wire shows the agency now provides definitions for terms such as “queer theory” and “white fragility,” as part of its expansive guide to 327 social justice terms that blame “white Europeans” for engaging in “settler colonialism” and warn of “transmisogyny.”
The 34-page document, published internally on May 6th, 2022, but never released publicly before The Daily Wire’s investigation, pushes blatantly left-wing views on race and sex. It explicitly endorses the tenets of Critical Race Theory and Queer Theory, both of which are included as terms on the glossary.
The leaked, unclassified NSA document identifies itself as a “a glossary of terms and language commonly used in dialogue regarding diversity, equity, inclusion, and social justice” and cites radical Critical Race Theory educators such as Robin DiAngelo and Ibram X. Kendi.

It cites DiAngelo while defining the term “white fragility” as “the state in which even a minimum amount of racial stress becomes intolerable, triggering a range of defensive moves [in white people].” It adds “these behaviors … function to reinstate white racial equilibrium.”

There’s also “whiteness,” which the agency defines as a “broad social construction that embraces the white culture, history, ideology, racialization, expressions, experiences, epistemology, emotions and behaviors,” all in order to reap “material political, economic, and structural benefits for those socially deemed white.”
But the agency, which has been sharply criticized for its mass surveillance operations on American citizens, goes beyond openly endorsing the extreme tenets of Critical Race Theory with its glossary — it pushes queer theory as an approach that “critically deconstructs and challenges binaries such as male and female or heterosexual and homosexual.”
The DEI glossary goes on to list a plethora of different vocab words associated with queer theory like “transmisogyny,” which it defines as the “intersection of transphobia and misogyny.”

“Ze” and “zir,” meanwhile, are noted as “gender neutral pronouns that can be used instead of he/she” and “his/her,” while “two spirit,” is defined as a “Native American term for individuals who identify as both male and female.”
Other terms defined in the glossary include “genderqueer,” “AFAB/AMAB: Assigned Female At Birth, Assigned Male At Birth,” “Latinx,” and “same gender loving,” a term that serves as “a description for homosexuals” who think that terms such as gay and lesbian “carry negative connotations.”
There’s also “demigender” — with variations such as“demiboy” and “demigirl” included — defined as “having a partial connection to one or more genders.”
A member of the House Intelligence Committee who viewed the document says he was shocked at the level of indoctrination within one of our most powerful military agencies.
“I just can&#8217;t overemphasize how shocking this is,” Rep. Mike Waltz (R-FL), a combat-decorated U.S. Army veteran who fought in the elite Green Berets, told The Daily Wire. “I’m a member of the Intelligence Committee in the House and it is an authentic document.”
“This isn’t some kind of diversity document, with terms like white fragility and definitions of whiteness and ‘ze’ and ‘zir’ in, say, the Small Business Administration,” Waltz said. “This is the NSA, the National Security Agency, one of the most powerful agencies in the world, that the world has ever seen.”
The glossary also works to undermine the very founding of the United States, blasting America’s founders in its definition of “settler colonialism: “Settler colonialism typically includes oppressive governance … and enforcement of codes of superiority,” before charging “examples include white European occupation of land in what is now the United States.”

While the NSA charges that “white Europeans” are guilty of colonization, it goes on to define “decolonize” as a process that “requires a recognition of systems of oppression” in order to unlearn “values, beliefs, and conceptions, that have caused physical, emotional, or mental harm to people through colonization.”
“White privilege,” meanwhile, is defined as an “unquestioned and unearned set of advantages, entitlements, benefits, and choices bestowed on people solely because they are white.” It adds that white people benefit from “societal structuring that prioritizes white people and whiteness” and offers an additional definition for the term “overprivileged.”
The NSA adopts one of the core tenets of Critical Race Theory, that racism is institutional and systemic, with its definition for “white supremacy,” which it calls a “historically-based, institutionally-perpetuated system of exploitation of continents, nations, and people of color by white people and nations of the European continent.”
But the NSA goes on to promote this view more blatantly when it gives definitions for five different types of racism: cultural, structural, institutional, individual, and internalized. The glossary says that institutional racism creates “advantages for whites and oppression and disadvantages for … people of color.”
The NSA also claims that structural racism is a “feature of the social, economic, and political systems in which we all exist,” calling it the “most profound and pervasive form of racism.”
There’s also a definition for the word “Euro-Centric,” which states “most use this term with a clear awareness of the historic oppressiveness of Eurocentric tendencies in U.S. and European society,” it reads.
The phrase “Critical Race Theory” is even included on the list itself, with references to the “intersectionality of race and racism,” the “marginalization of people of color,” and its supposed aim pose a “challenge to dominant ideology.”
The document also includes a wide array of terms that promote gender ideology, featuring “drag queen/king” and “passing privilege,” which explains that there is a “variation in the degree to which medically and/or socially transitioned people are recognized as their correct gender,” and that this comes with “levels of privilege.” Those who are not gay or trans, meanwhile, are said to have “heterosexual privilege.”
“Gender binary” is defined as “the idea that there are only two genders.” It goes on to say “This idea is challenged by those who identify as non-binary,” including “genderqueer” and “agender.”
The glossary not only defines words, but also attempts to steer readers away from terms that are now “problematic.” The definition of “female-bodied,” for example, explains that the “term is very problematic as it genders bodies nonconsensually and plays into cissexism (in that breasts or a vulva, for example, are considered inherently female.)” The term “male-bodied” is also included alongside a similar note.
The definition of “gender affirming surgery” notes that “sex change” is  “an outdated and often offensive term.” Also problematic, according to the guide, is the term “homosexual” — “This is not a preferred term. Homosexual males typically prefer the term gay and homosexual females typically prefer the term lesbian.”
“MTF” and “FTM,” according to the glossary, are abbreviations for those who were “assigned” as male or female at birth,  but then attempted to transition into the opposite sex. But the NSA document extends even farther into gender ideology and claims that those two terms are also potentially “problematic.” It goes on to promote the alternative terms “MTM” and “FTF” – terms are used to identify “a transgender individual who has medically transitioned and feels their birth sex was never an identity to which they could relate.”
“A person with a birth sex of female may have lived as a female for many years but never identified as a woman,” it continues.
“Pansexual” is said to refer to the “potential for sexual attractions or romantic love toward people of all gender identities and biological sexes.” The document specifies that pansexuality “deliberately rejects the gender binary and derives its origin in the transgender movement.”

There are also several terms that are associated with grievance politics, including “microaggression,” “micro-invalidation,” and even “sizeism,” which is “discrimination against people based upon their perceived (or self-perceived) body size or shape.”
But the NSA’s document makes it clear that the agency’s goal is not merely to advance liberalism, but to push “social justice&#8221; and &#8220;equity.” In fact, liberalism is said to obstruct more progressive political ends. A definition for “neo-liberalism” calls the ideology “a substantial subjugation and marginalization of policies and practices informed by the values of social justice and equity.”
Waltz said defining these woke terms shouldn’t be anywhere on the NSA’s priority list, especially with the national security risks facing the United States.
“It is disturbing that this is what the senior leadership of one of our most critical intelligence agencies is worried about when we literally have the world on fire,” Waltz said, highlighting the October 7 Hamas terrorist attack on Israel that went undiscovered by the intelligence community.
“Those holding the keys to power, those with their finger on the nuclear button or on incredibly powerful surveillance capabilities” are being “indoctrinated that our civilian institutions are inherently racist, are systemically misogynistic and have a colonialist past and therefore bad.”
“Our military is not focused on lethality. They&#8217;re focused on diversity and climate,” adding “that&#8217;s going to result in our enemies not fearing us and respecting us as they should.”
“Who wants to put their life on the line to defend that, and does that then lead to questions of whether those inherently flawed institutions should have true oversight over a very powerful intelligence agency in a very powerful military?” he went on to ask.
The document is marked as “unclassified,” a security designation that means the material is not classified but is not publicly releasable without authorization.
The NSA’s<a href="https://www.nsa.gov/Culture/diversity-equity-inclusion-accessibility/"> publicly available</a> diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility site states that “diversity and inclusion strategies inform our daily operations,” and that the agency is actively “cultivating relationships with external partners and leveraging those partnerships to increase the diversity of NSA’s hiring talent pool.”
The NSA also states that it strives to be the “model for diversity and equitable practices and outcomes throughout the Federal Government.”
President Biden issued an <a href="https://www.whitehouse.gov/briefing-room/presidential-actions/2021/01/20/executive-order-advancing-racial-equity-and-support-for-underserved-communities-through-the-federal-government/">executive order</a> aimed at creating a “whole-of-government equity agenda” on his first day in office. Biden issued another <a href="https://www.whitehouse.gov/briefing-room/presidential-actions/2021/06/25/executive-order-on-diversity-equity-inclusion-and-accessibility-in-the-federal-workforce/">executive order</a> in June 2021, which sought to establish “a coordinated Government-wide initiative to promote diversity and inclusion in the Federal workforce, expand its scope to specifically include equity and accessibility.”

A former National Security Agency (NSA) employee pleaded guilty on Monday to attempting to sell classified national defense information to an FBI employee he believed to be an agent of the Russian Federation.
Jareh Sebastian Dalke, 31, of Colorado Springs, faces a possible life sentence after he pleaded guilty today to six counts of attempting to transmit classified National Defense Information (NDI) to an officer or agent of a foreign government, <a href="https://www.justice.gov/opa/pr/former-nsa-employee-pleads-guilty-attempted-espionage" target="_blank" rel="noopener">according</a> to the Department of Justice.
His <a href="https://www.justice.gov/media/1320846/dl?inline" target="_blank" rel="noopener">plea agreement</a> states that federal prosecutors agreed not to request more than 22 years in prison, but the U.S. authorities said the judge would ultimately determine his sentence.
Dalke <a href="https://apnews.com/article/nsa-russia-spy-classified-colorado-dalke-51c4b13ef035f3dca8b62c433e6149d5" target="_blank" rel="noopener">reportedly</a> admitted to the charges during a hearing before U.S. District Judge Raymond Moore, where he answered the judge’s questions concerning the terms of his deal and acknowledged he has been taking medication for mental illness over the last year while in custody.
Dalke, an Army veteran, worked as an Information Systems Security Designer for the U.S. intelligence agency, which focuses on gathering and analyzing intelligence and counterintelligence from foreign and domestic sources.
During his short employment with the agency, authorities said Dalke obtained three documents classified as Top Secret//Sensitive Compartmented Information. According to court documents, the information he planned to give to the purported Russian agent included military offensive capabilities of an unnamed country and other sensitive U.S. defense capabilities.
“Dalke admitted that between August and September 2022, in order to demonstrate both his ‘legitimate access and willingness to share,’ he used an encrypted email account to transmit excerpts of three classified documents to an individual he believed to be a Russian agent,” DOJ officials said in a news release. “In actuality, that person was an FBI online covert employee.”
In August 2022, Dalke requested $85,000 in exchange for all the classified information, which unknowingly told the FBI online covert employee would be of value to Russia and would disseminate more information in the future when he returned to the Washington, D.C., area.
Federal authorities arrested Dalke on September 28, 2022, at Union Station in downtown Denver after transferring five files — four containing classified information— using a laptop computer and instructions provided by the covert FBI employee.
The other file contained a letter, which said in Russian and Cyrillic characters: “My friends!” and states, in part, “I am very happy to finally provide this information to you. … I look forward to our friendship and shared benefit. Please let me know if there are desired documents to find and I will try when I return to my main office.”
The FBI arrested Dalke moments after he transmitted the files.
According to court documents, Dalke requested a 9-month leave of absence shortly after he began working for the agency to help a family member with a medical condition. But when the agency denied his request, Dalke submitted his resignation.
After leaving the agency and giving the classified information to the undercover FBI employee, court documents state that Dalke reapplied to work at the NSA.
Last year, Dalke’s federal public defender reportedly downplayed his clients&#8217; access to the top secret information since he worked for the intelligence agency for less than a month.

The <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/national-security-agency-nsa" target="_blank" rel="noopener">National Security Agency</a> (NSA) is establishing a new Artificial Intelligence (AI) Security Center to further develop and integrate AI in federal intelligence.
In a <a href="https://www.defense.gov/News/News-Stories/Article/Article/3541838/ai-security-center-to-open-at-national-security-agency/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">press release</a>, the Defense Department clarified that the AI Security Center would also consolidate existing AI and security-related activities across the NSA. NSA Director Paul Nakasone first disclosed the new center during a National Press Club luncheon on Thursday.
&#8220;The AI Security Center will work closely with U.S. Industry, national labs, academia across the [intelligence community], and Department of Defense and select foreign partners,&#8221; said Nakasone.

Nakasone cited China and Russia’s AI-related activities as the main motivators behind the consolidation, declaring a need for the U.S. to maintain an advantage in AI. According to Nakasone, consolidation would also prevent the theft of AI intelligence and technologies.
The director clarified that humans, not AI, would have the final say on analyzing threats.
“Within the Department of Defense, within the intelligence community, AI helps us, but our decisions are made by humans and that’s an important distinction,” said Nakasone.
However, Nakasone declined to answer a reporter’s question on whether Americans should stop the expansion of the surveillance society due to the potential of AI to curtail personal freedoms.

“I’ll leave that question for someone else to answer,” said Nakasone. “[A]s a nation we need an ability to understand what our adversaries do and we need a national security that balances this with civil liberties, privacy, and I think that that’s what our intelligence community does very well.”
NSA’s AI Security Center is the latest federal intelligence initiative focused on developing and advancing AI technologies. Earlier this week, the CIA <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/cia-creating-ai-tool-to-sort-through-public-information-report" target="_blank" rel="noopener">revealed</a> that it was planning to unleash an AI tool to 18 intelligence agencies to sort through public information. Those agencies included the NSA, as well as the FBI and military. 
Earlier this month, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/dhs-announces-anti-bias-ai-policies-first-chief-ai-officer" target="_blank" rel="noopener">announced</a> its first chief AI officer and new policies ensuring equity in AI usage.
These developments largely align with a <a href="https://media.defense.gov/2022/Jun/22/2003022604/-1/-1/0/Department-of-Defense-Responsible-Artificial-Intelligence-Strategy-and-Implementation-Pathway.PDF" target="_blank" rel="noopener">roadmap</a> issued last year by the Defense Department tracking the implementation of AI.
A significant asset for AI Security Center operations would be the continued existence of Section 702.
Section 702 of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) is a controversial surveillance power enacted in 2008 with the intent to track foreign nationals that, by consequence of design, also exposes Americans’ communications. That section is scheduled to expire at the end of this year.
As he has <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/nsa-asks-for-reauthorization-of-surveillance-powers-as-republicans-prepare-to-investigate-security-agencies" target="_blank" rel="noopener">done</a> throughout this year, Nakasone advocated on Thursday for Section 702’s reauthorization. The director claimed it was a necessary surveillance power for saving American lives and interests, citing federal intelligence obtained on the Chinese origins of fentanyl.
“[T]he President’s Intelligence Advisory Board called 702 the cornerstone of the intelligence community’s ability to uncover and track threats to America, and noted that 702 does not threaten the civil liberties of Americans so long as the right culture processes and oversight are in place,” said Nakasone.
However, that same advisory board recommended limiting Section 702 to foreign intelligence purposes only in a July <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/fbi-access-to-spy-tool-should-be-restricted-white-house-advisers-say" target="_blank" rel="noopener">report</a>. The board also recommended a number of other reformations to Section 702, including removal of intelligence agents’ authority to query non-national security-related crime.
The board’s findings are conducive with the consistent abuses of Section 702 since its enactment.
Notably, in 2017, the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/report-obama-illegally-spied-americans-years-ben-shapiro" target="_blank" rel="noopener">found</a> that the Obama-era NSA abused Section 702 to spy on Americans for years.
Similarly, in May, the court reported that the FBI <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/fbi-misused-surveillance-tool-over-278000-times-report" target="_blank" rel="noopener">misused</a> the Section 702 database over 278,000 times.
