The internet broke after Carlos Alcaraz took off his shirt following Friday’s U.S. Open match win.
SportsCenter posted the crowd’s response — women reached for their phones, and we discovered a remarkable new rule: the sexualization of a young athlete is only offensive when the athlete is female, and the audience is male.

You don&#8217;t get to condemn the male gaze and then celebrate the female one.
Imagine the same scene with a 23-year-old female tennis player. She finishes a match, changes clothes near the court, and the camera cuts to a row of men grinning, ogling, zooming in, and recording her body.
The reaction would be immediate, and rightly so. We would hear about objectification, consent, the male gaze, exploitation, and the need to stop turning female athletes into entertainment products.
But when the athlete is a man, the vocabulary changes. Objectification becomes appreciation. Voyeurism becomes “the crowd having fun.” Filming someone’s body becomes harmless girl behavior. The same action gets a completely different moral label because the person behind the camera is a woman.
If a man were filming a woman, would broadcasters praise him for “being excited”? Would commentators say she “knew the impact she had”? Would the clip be framed as a charming tribute to female athleticism?
No. The internet would have their names, their employers, and their apologies (or resignations) within hours.
Call it what it is: the same behavior, forgiven for one sex and condemned for the other.
To be clear, Alcaraz is an adult athlete who removed his shirt in public after a match. He was not secretly filmed in a bedroom or ambushed in a private space. The point is not that every fan who took out a phone committed some great moral crime.
The point is the cultural reaction. The public celebration of women gawking at and recording a topless man, while the same behavior aimed at a woman would be condemned as dehumanizing.

Apparently, marriage vows cover “in sickness and in health,” but not “unless Carlos Alcaraz takes off his shirt at the US Open.”
The hypocrisy becomes more obvious when you consider the women holding the phones are most likely the same ones championing the #MeToo movement. They’ve spent years explaining that women should not be sexually objectified.
Yet when the roles are reversed, their own rules seem to simply expire.
The answer isn’t to ban people from noticing that attractive people exist. We are adults. We can survive a shirtless tennis player without calling Congress.
The answer is to stop pretending one sex is entitled to privacy and dignity while the other is expected to smile and accept being turned into a public thirst trap.
Alcaraz can take off his shirt. The fans can cheer. SportsCenter can post the clip. But let us stop pretending the reaction would be treated the same if the athlete were a young woman.
If men look at women, it is oppression. If women look at men, it is content. And, if you point out the contradiction, you are the problem.
Real men protect women. Real women protect men.

Nancy Mace: Objectification Is Only Wrong When Men Do It

Never did I think we&#8217;d be living in a world where murdering your children makes you a hero while demanding accountability makes you a villain.
But here we are.
Lindsay Clancy strangled her three children, one by one, with exercise bands, in the basement of their home.
Cora was five. Dawson was three. Callan was eight months old.
Nobody disputes it. Not the prosecution. Not the defense. Not even Lindsay Clancy.
Yet every morning outside the Plymouth courthouse, a crowd of women in pink shirts and pink posters line up to cheer her lawyer on his way through the door. They call it solidarity. I call it a mob. And they are there to defend her with everything they&#8217;ve got.
If this is what compassion looks like now, God help us.
Here are the facts. The defense is not arguing the children died by accident. They are not arguing someone else did it. They do not dispute Clancy strangled each of her children. Their argument, across five weeks and more than 80 witnesses, is that Clancy lacked any and all criminal responsibility because she was suffering from postpartum psychosis and had been overmedicated.
That distinction is the entire case. The Left has decided to get it wrong anyway.
Over the past few weeks, the pink mob has become an army of amateur psychiatrists and prosecutors. Blaming her medication. Blaming her emotions. Blaming the healthcare system. Blaming the government. Blaming the father who came home to find all three of his children dead.
Don&#8217;t take my word for it. A reporter went down to the courthouse and put a microphone in front of the women in pink. Here is what they said.
Asked whether Lindsay Clancy should go to jail: &#8220;We&#8217;re not sure.&#8221; Pressed: &#8220;We are very on the fence.&#8221;
Three children strangled to death, and they&#8217;re on the fence.
Asked what consequences she should face, one offered this: &#8220;Obviously, she&#8217;s already in a wheelchair.&#8221; Lindsay Clancy is in that wheelchair because she jumped from a second-story window after she killed her children. A wheelchair is not a sentence. Cora, Dawson, and Callan didn&#8217;t get a wheelchair. They got caskets.
Another: &#8220;I don&#8217;t think she did it.&#8221; Think about the delusion required to believe that, and to believe that somehow Lindsay Clancy&#8217;s own defense attorney forgot to bring it up. He has spent five weeks in that courtroom. Not once has he said she didn&#8217;t do it.
Another: &#8220;He should go to jail for negligence. He needs to take care of his kids, and that was his responsibility.&#8221; He. The father. Patrick Clancy lost every one of his children in the most horrific way imaginable, and then publicly asked the world to forgive the woman who did it. The pink mob&#8217;s answer is to send him to prison.
Another: &#8220;&#8230; you are not perfect.&#8221; Not perfect is burning dinner. Not perfect is forgetting where you put your keys. Not perfect is losing your temper in the carpool line. Not perfect is not strangling three children in a basement.
And the excuse I keep hearing: &#8220;We feel she&#8217;s very sleep-deprived. Her job as a labor-and-delivery nurse, working night shifts, and three children is … a lot.&#8221; Sleep-deprived. Three children were strangled to death, and the defense from the sidewalk is that she didn&#8217;t get enough sleep? You&#8217;ve got to be kidding me.
To be fair, one of them did eventually concede: &#8220;But yet, her three children are gone.&#8221;
Yet. As if the dead children were a footnote.
Social media has become a courthouse where evidence is optional, certainty is mandatory, and the loudest voice holds the gavel.
These women are not truth-seekers. They are a mob harassing a man who lost every one of his children in the most horrific way imaginable.
Let&#8217;s talk about the pills argument. A corner of the internet has decided the pills did this. I don&#8217;t know who needs to hear this, but Zoloft doesn&#8217;t make you murder your children. Millions of people take psychiatric medication every day. They raise children. They go to work. They pack lunches. They miserably sit in the carpool line. They get through the day. Zoloft didn&#8217;t strangle those children. Their mother did.
Then, there’s the crowd blaming these gruesome murders on postpartum depression — completely undermining — and in doing so, insulting every woman who has ever had it and whose children are alive today.
I experienced postpartum depression with my second child. It is real. It is serious. It can distort your sense of self, fill your mind with fear, and make ordinary life feel overwhelming and hostile. As a medical issue, it deserves serious attention. It does not drive you to strangle your children one by one — nor does it excuse your murderous ways if you do, and it does not excuse it if you do.
You can believe women deserve better care. You can believe doctors should take postpartum symptoms seriously. You can believe the system needs more treatment beds, better medication oversight, and faster intervention. All of those things can be true.
And Lindsay Clancy can still be a murderer.
If postpartum mental illness becomes a get-out-of-jail-free card for murdering your children, then by logic, anyone diagnosed with it should lose custody of their kids.
And if it’s not murder, then a man taking testosterone who sexually assaults a woman isn’t a rapist — according to their twisted logic.
Every mother who has ever suffered postpartum depression and gotten out of bed the next morning to feed her kids deserves better than to be used as a human shield for a triple murder.
The prosecution says Clancy acted deliberately and knew right from wrong. The defense says her mental state destroyed any responsibility whatsoever. The jury’s job is to weigh those claims, WITHOUT bias.
Outside the courthouse stands the pink-poster legal dream team. Their signs say, &#8220;She Needed Help.&#8221; And look, maybe she did. Lots of people need help. But needing “help” doesn’t excuse murder.
A pink poster is not an insanity defense. You cannot put &#8220;She Needed Help&#8221; on a piece of foam board, and suddenly the jury is required to respond, &#8220;Oh sh*t, never mind; dismiss the evidence.&#8221;
Then the jury came back from the weekend, and reporters in the courtroom noticed something. At least two jurors were wearing pink. The same pink the mob has worn on the sidewalk for weeks.
The jury is choosing between first-degree murder, second-degree murder, manslaughter, not guilty by reason of insanity, and not guilty. Not guilty.
For a woman whose own lawyer has never once claimed she didn&#8217;t do it.
After four days of deliberation, the jury is deadlocked.
The internet got this story all wrong. This is not about Lindsay Clancy’s feelings.
This is about justice for the children she murdered.
Cora. Dawson. Callan.
This case will set a precedent, and every mother in America should understand what it is. The verdict isn&#8217;t just about Lindsay Clancy. It&#8217;s about whether the lives of three children are worth less than the feelings of the woman who ended them.
Cora. Dawson. Callan.
Say their names. Then ask yourself who is standing outside that courthouse for them.

Major news dropped this week. You no doubt noticed the ground trembling beneath your feet and felt the violent blast of hot wind blowing across the country as the news of this event slammed into the planet like an asteroid the size of a stadium, leaving a gaping crater in the earth’s crust. The whole world was shaken. Everything changed. Nothing will ever be the same again. 
Congresswoman Nancy Mace got some tattoos. 
For those who find the claim wildly implausible, here are the pictures Nancy Mace took to show the world her new tattoos:

There are a lot of them on both arms. Two whole sleeves of tattoos. There are some flowers, some religious imagery, some random phrases, and also the word “justice.” There is no justice in the world. But now, at least, we have it on Nancy Mace’s left bicep. So that’s something. 
I know about these tattoos, not because I was seeking information about Nancy Mace’s tattoos or Nancy Mace in general, but because multiple media outlets issued urgent reports on the subject. USA Today, the New York Post, Yahoo, Newsweek, the Hill, the Daily Beast, and the Huffington Post (which evidently still exists) all put their best reporters on the Nancy Mace tattoo beat. 
There was so much conversation about the tattoos that Snopes published a fact check titled “Does Nancy Mace have arm tattoos?” There then follows an entire article to inform us that the answer is yes, she does have arm tattoos. 
I have nothing further to say on the subject of Nancy Mace’s tattoos in particular. But this breathtaking development did prompt another round of discussion and debate about tattoos. 
Everyone seems to have them now. If not everyone, then a lot of people do. A recent survey finds that 32% of Americans have a tattoo. In fact, more women than men are now sporting tattoos. And more than half of women between the ages of 18 and 49 have at least one. The numbers drop off for women over 50, but Nancy Mace, who is almost 50, is determined to pad those stats. 
Back in the old days, only bikers and prison inmates had tattoos, and they were all men. Now, the average female 23-year-old college graduate has the kinds of permanent skin markings that used to be the exclusive province of large men with felony convictions. Some people consider this a bad thing, a sign of cultural decline. Others say that it’s a good thing, a sign that the culture is becoming more accepting of individual expression.
You may think that I am in no place to litigate this issue objectively. After all, I have tattoos. I have this Chi Rho on my forearm that I got when I was in my early 20s. And I also have another tattoo, a cross on the opposite shoulder, that I also got in my early 20s. And in fact, I have a third tattoo. The words “thug life” are printed across my stomach. But I don’t like to talk about that one, so let’s just call it two tattoos for the sake of argument. 
So will I now stand up alongside my fellow tatted Americans, my brothers and sisters of the ink, and defend the beauty and virtue of tattoos? The answer is, in fact, no. I will not. I actually mostly agree with the tattoo skeptics. I think this whole tattoo thing has gotten way out of hand. Everyone needs to stop with the tattoos. It’s too much. 
To be clear, I’m not saying that I regret my tattoos per se. They’re both meaningful in the sense that they obviously denote my Christian faith. 
At least I didn’t get a tribal armband, permanently branding myself as a guy who loved Three Days Grace in 2002. At least I didn’t get a Chinese symbol that I was told means “harmony,” or whatever, but really just means “Kung Pao chicken with fried rice.” At least I didn’t get random words or designs. At least I didn’t get a Disney character. 
I’m not embarrassed by the tattoos. I don’t feel the need to explain them except for right now. 
My take on my own tattoos is this: I don’t have any urge to get them removed, but I also would absolutely never get another one. If I could go back in a time machine, would I have still gotten these tattoos? Probably not, but mostly because if I’m going back in a time machine, I don’t want to waste the day sitting in a tattoo parlor. 
So, in summary, my tattoos are fine. They’re okay. I’ve got bigger problems in my life, at the very least.

It’s Time To Cancel Tattoos

I know Rep. Nancy Mace. She’s a nice lady, but has always been a rather attention-seeking political personality. 
This goes all the way back to 1999, when she successfully integrated The Citadel – the men’s military academy. Then she ran for Congress, where she has been rather performative while in office. 
She made big headlines over the weekend because she decided to do a body reveal on national TV. According to the <a href="https://nypost.com/2026/08/16/us-news/rep-nancy-mace-reveals-new-tattoos-as-she-launches-youtube-show-after-losing-political-career/">New York Post</a>:
<blockquote>Back in February, she said she got nine tattoos in rapid succession to mark the exodus of staffers from her office <a href="https://nypost.com/2023/11/02/news/nancy-mace-memo-dubs-her-thought-leader-pushes-self-promotion-report/">who badmouthed her to the press</a> and the <a href="https://nypost.com/2023/12/08/news/rep-nancy-mace-splits-with-fiance-discussed-her-sex-life-in-office-report/">breakup with her fiancé</a> — among other bad experiences. The 48-year-old also described it as a way to “reclaim” her identity and body. “So my story is I am totally broken,” she bluntly <a href="https://www.politico.com/news/magazine/2026/02/27/nancy-mace-trauma-election-governor-00799867?nid=0000014f-1646-d88f-a1cf-5f46b7bd0000&amp;nname=playbook&amp;nrid=0bdff907-15ed-4eef-bfd3-524d1cf43cd3">told Politico</a> earlier this year. “I have PTSD over what I’ve been through.”</blockquote>
That&#8217;s a lot of tattoos. I admit I am not a tattoo fan, as you might have guessed. The book of Leviticus is not a fan of tattoos. 
I do think there are certain circumstances in which tattoos are more understandable than others: if you are a member of the military, if you&#8217;re a member of a police force, or if you are a rock star.
If you are a sitting congressperson and you show up with Hells Angels-looking sleeves, it&#8217;s a little weird. It&#8217;s a sign of something.

One of those tattoos is the opening line of Virginia Woolf&#8217;s famous novel &#8220;Mrs. Dalloway,&#8221; which is weird because if I were going to get a tattoo, it&#8217;d be the first line of &#8220;A Tale of Two Cities&#8221; by Charles Dickens, which is 119 words and I would wind it all the way around my torso multiple times.
Or maybe something from Faulkner, a 1,300-word opening.
Or maybe the verse from Leviticus where it says “Don&#8217;t get tattoos.”
In the profile with <a href="https://www.politico.com/news/magazine/2026/02/27/nancy-mace-trauma-election-governor-00799867?nid=0000014f-1646-d88f-a1cf-5f46b7bd0000&amp;nname=playbook&amp;nrid=0bdff907-15ed-4eef-bfd3-524d1cf43cd3">Politico</a>, there was this exchange:

And in the wake of her shocking speech last year in which she on the floor of the United States House of Representatives accused her ex-fiancé and three of his business partners and friends of grievous sexual crimes against her and other women — in the spiraling subsequent litigation in which alleged abusers are suing Mace and other alleged victims and vice versa and a judge instituted a gag order for all parties involved and Mace has taken to representing herself — she at times has all but asked to get sent to jail.
She is, according to scores of ex-staffers and ex-friends, operatives and colleagues from both parties and a spectrum of people who know her and have known her for a long time, “unstable” and “unhinged” and “unwell.” “Something snapped in her mentally,” Charleston-based Republican consultant Chris Drummond told me. “I hope that she gets the help that she needs,” Charleston-based Democratic consultant Renee Harvey told me.</blockquote>
This is sad. If you are openly saying that you got tattoos in order to feel pain, there are lots of ways in life to feel pain. 
Over the weekend, my three-year-old decided to climb into a hamper. I don&#8217;t know why; he&#8217;s three. And then he lost his balance, keeled over, clocked his forehead on the floor, and got a bump. He felt pain. The difference is that those bumps will go away. He&#8217;s not going to have gigantic tattoos all over his arms. 
I feel like if you are a person in need of reclaiming your body and feeling pain, probably what you need is some psychiatric care, not the tattoos.
If one of your friends or a person you know did this, the responsible move is not to feature them on national TV. The responsible move is not to do gigantic profiles on them. The responsible move with people who are obviously going through pain is to sympathetically see that they actually get the treatment that they need. 
It&#8217;s not a matter of “personal choice.” Obviously, we live in a free country. Nancy has the right to do what she wants to do when it comes to getting her tattoos. 
I will say that she&#8217;s obviously going through something, and I really hope Nancy gets the care she needs because this is not healthy behavior.
That may be an unpopular statement. 
But it is not healthy behavior.

Outgoing Rep. Nancy Mace (R-SC) is giving Americans a closer look at her heavily tattooed arms as she launches a new YouTube show following a string of political setbacks.
Mace, 48, appeared sleeveless in promotional material for <a href="https://www.youtube.com/@NancyRMace">her new program</a>, &#8220;Get Maced,&#8221; showing both arms covered in tattoos she had largely kept out of public view during her time in Congress.
The South Carolina Republican <a href="https://www.politico.com/news/magazine/2026/02/27/nancy-mace-trauma-election-governor-00799867?nid=0000014f-1646-d88f-a1cf-5f46b7bd0000&amp;nname=playbook&amp;nrid=0bdff907-15ed-4eef-bfd3-524d1cf43cd3">first disclosed</a> to Politico in February that she had gotten nine tattoos in rapid succession between late 2023 and early 2024 — a stretch that included the collapse of her engagement and an exodus of staff from her congressional office. Mace told Politico the tattoos were a way to &#8220;reclaim&#8221; her body and identity, and that they provided &#8220;the pain that I need to feel.&#8221;
One of the tattoos is the opening line from Virginia Woolf&#8217;s novel Mrs. Dalloway: &#8220;Mrs. Dalloway said she would buy the flowers herself.&#8221; The tattoo reveal comes as Mace prepares for life outside Congress. She announced a campaign for governor of South Carolina last year but <a href="https://apnews.com/article/election-2026-nancy-mace-343edd90060f56572735b71a60cd0fc6">finished fifth</a> in the Republican primary in June.
Mace <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/im-in-lindsey-grahams-sister-makes-it-official">declined</a> last month to enter the special primary to replace the late Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) on the November ballot, instead endorsing Rep. Ralph Norman (R-SC) over Darline Graham Nordone, the late senator&#8217;s sister, whom President Donald Trump had endorsed and whom Gov. Henry McMaster appointed to serve out the remainder of the term. Norman and Nordone advanced to an August 25 runoff. Mace was once a prominent Trump ally but broke with the president over her push to release the Epstein files.
Mace <a href="https://thehill.com/homenews/house/5967111-nancy-mace-donald-trump-influence-political-career/">told</a> NewsNation&#8217;s Chris Cuomo last month that her split with Trump &#8220;may have ended my political career.&#8221;
&#8220;Let&#8217;s be honest, I didn&#8217;t go to Washington to take orders from anybody, which is why you do see me scuffle from time to time, which is why I do call out Democrats and Republicans alike,&#8221; Mace said. &#8220;I have a history of doing that.&#8221;
The tattoo reveal marks another unconventional chapter for a congresswoman who has long cultivated an outsider image within the Republican Party.
Mace has <a href="https://www.vanityfair.com/news/2023/03/nancy-mace-congress-house-republican-party?srsltid=AfmBOoqQ972IbbiWmbrXePar1qABnBWaB6-P3N9mg4Z-gcWKw22S9fp0">described herself</a> as a “caucus of one” and has frequently broken with members of her own party on high-profile issues.
In her Politico profile, Mace discussed her personal struggles and said she had experienced sexual abuse and a difficult relationship with her father. She said the tattoos and other changes to her life were part of an effort to reclaim her identity.
&#8220;I&#8217;m showing up to a family court hearing for a mom in a couple of weeks. I&#8217;m showing up to another court hearing for the family member of a murder victim in a couple of weeks,&#8221; Mace said at the time. &#8220;It&#8217;s just my reaction and my response &#8230; and it keeps me alive.&#8221;

In late July, a series of images began circulating on social media that perfectly captured the surreal, self-inflicted decline of Western civilization.
In broad daylight, on a European beach, an African migrant was caught performing a depraved act of public indecency in front of families and children. He was jerking off on a public beach in front of kids.
It was an act that, in any sane society, would have resulted in the immediate arrest and incarceration of the predator. When bystanders rightfully intervened to stop him, i.e., beat the sh*t out of him, and rightfully so, a startling thing happened: a white woman threw herself into the fray.
But she didn’t intervene to protect the children.
She wasn’t calling for the police, nor was she shielding the innocent. Instead, she placed herself in harm&#8217;s way to protect the predator. She leaned toward the man with a look of intense, therapeutic concern, a gaze usually reserved for a patient on a therapist’s couch, not a criminal caught in a most disgusting act.
When I recently commented on this incident, observing that I want a man who looks at me the way liberal white women look at invaders who commit such acts, the predictable outrage machine went into overdrive.
But my critique wasn&#8217;t merely about a single viral video; it was an indictment of a much deeper, more dangerous pathology taking root in our culture.
While this specific nightmare took place on a European beach, it serves as a grim &#8220;coming attractions&#8221; trailer for our American future if we don’t stop it in its tracks. We are currently witnessing an epidemic of pathological empathy among liberal white women, and it is quietly becoming the single greatest threat to our national security.
This isn’t compassion; it’s a desperate need for moral validation. We have raised a generation of progressive white women who have been taught that their primary duty to society is to apologize for it. They have been conditioned by an education system and a cultural elite into believing that &#8220;safety&#8221; is a microaggression, that &#8220;borders&#8221; are racist, and that &#8220;sovereignty&#8221; is a code word for bigotry.
The result is a global double standard that would be hilarious if it weren’t so deadly. In Spain, when tens of thousands of migrants swarm an enclave in a single weekend, the media rightfully calls it a crisis. The European Union holds emergency meetings.
But here in America? Under the Biden-Harris administration, we’ve had millions cross our southern border — a slow-motion colonization that makes the European crisis look tame. Yet, if you, a tax-paying American citizen, dare to call it an invasion, you are immediately branded a racist. You are a bigot. You are deemed a threat to &#8220;democracy.&#8221;
This performative empathy extends far beyond the beach; it is fundamentally altering our behavior at the ballot box. These same progressive voters, who claim to be the vanguard of &#8220;women’s rights,&#8221; are the primary engine behind a radical effort to erase women. They march for equality while simultaneously carrying water for radical ideologies that view women as second-class citizens. They scream about bodily autonomy while rolling out the red carpet for cultures that view women as property.
It is the ultimate political Stockholm Syndrome of the 21st century.
This is not just a political disagreement; it is a mental illness breakdown on a national scale. Liberal white women have been told that their inherent &#8220;privilege&#8221; is a sin that can only be washed away through a policy of radical self-destruction.
They view themselves as the moral arbiters of society, and welcoming the &#8220;invader&#8221; — no matter how dangerous or lawless — is their way of proving they are &#8220;good people.&#8221; They prioritize the comfort of the lawbreaker over the safety of the citizen because their manufactured guilt will not allow them to do anything else.
They would rather see their cities burn and their daughters shower next to grown men than risk being called &#8220;intolerant&#8221; at a wine-and-cheese mixer. The progressive Left has been trained to hand over the keys to the kingdom and then apologize for the locks being too difficult to pick.
They are welcoming criminals who despise our values, our laws, and our way of life, all while nodding along in a trance of performative empathy. And we have enabled this destruction from within, handing the future of our country over to pathological empathizers.
If this is the &#8220;future&#8221; the Left is building, I want no part of it. It’s time to wake up, throw the &#8220;Coexist&#8221; bumper stickers in the trash, and start acting like a nation that actually wants to survive.
We need to return to a reality where &#8220;illegal&#8221; actually means illegal. Because if we can’t tell the difference between a refugee seeking asylum and a public predator exploiting our goodwill, we don’t have a country anymore — we have a crime scene.
America first, or America is finished.

A House lawmaker introduced a constitutional amendment this week that would do exactly what Daily Wire host Matt Walsh called for last month: bar foreign-born citizens from serving in Congress.
The proposed constitutional amendment, introduced this week by Rep. Nancy Mace (R-SC), would require members of Congress, federal judges, and Senate-confirmed appointees to be natural-born citizens — the same standard the Constitution already sets for president and vice president.
In late April, Walsh <a href="https://youtu.be/OMzr9b2Rd8o?si=TkMAiOYDoYi3CnIP">proposed</a> his &#8220;heritage American Bill of Rights,&#8221; the first rule of which was intended to do exactly this:
&#8220;Rule number one: First-generation immigrants should not be permitted to serve in Congress at all, especially illiterate Somali ones,&#8221; Walsh said. &#8220;We already require that presidents must be natural-born citizens. And that requirement should simply be extended to Congress as well.&#8221;

Walsh added that &#8220;if you just got here, then you have no business telling Americans how to live their lives,&#8221; or &#8220;spend their money. &#8221;
Both Walsh and the amendment proposed by Mace point to Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN), along with the 18 other foreign-born members of Congress.
Members of Congress like Omar have made clear &#8220;their loyalty is not here,&#8221; Mace <a href="https://thehill.com/homenews/house/5887636-nancy-mace-amendment-foreign-born-citizens-holding-office/">said</a>. Walsh argued that first-generation immigrants like Omar have no business &#8220;complaining all the time or defaming millions of people,&#8221; adding that &#8220;it&#8217;s the height of humiliation for Americans to have to listen to a member of Congress talk about <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/ilhan-omar-hits-rock-bottom-with-her-dumbest-remarks-yet-as-trump-delivers-his-best-speech-ever">World War 11</a>.&#8221;
Mace&#8217;s proposal faces an uphill battle in its form as a constitutional amendment. Ratification would require a two-thirds vote in both the House and the Senate, followed by approval from three-fourths of the states — a bar that has not been cleared by any amendment since 1992.
Democrats reacted furiously to Mace&#8217;s amendment, with Rep. Pramila Jayapal (D-WA), herself a naturalized citizen born in India, <a href="https://jayapal.house.gov/2026/05/20/jayapal-statement-on-hateful-mace-legislation-to-ban-naturalized-citizens-from-government-service/">calling</a> the measure &#8220;racist legislation&#8221; and saying it &#8220;denies the very history of a country that has been proudly shaped by immigrants.&#8221;
In his &#8220;heritage American Bill of Rights,&#8221; Walsh further proposes deporting (or denaturalizing and then deporting) foreigners and naturalized citizens who cannot speak English or who become a net drain on taxpayers, as well as barring new citizens from voting for 10 years.
&#8220;We can&#8217;t prevent people from voting based on race, and we shouldn&#8217;t, and no one is suggesting that,&#8221; Walsh said. &#8220;But we can protect our institutions by taking basic steps to make sure that voters are actual adult citizens of the country who are assimilated into the culture and invested in it.&#8221;
Walsh calls for requiring all voters to pass a fifth-grade civics exam in English, and disenfranchising welfare recipients — even if they&#8217;re native-born U.S. citizens.
&#8220;If you want to vote, there has to be some legacy you want to protect,&#8221; Walsh said. &#8220;You should not be able to vote yourself money from the public treasury.&#8221;

Former Rep. Mark Sanford (R-SC) ended his brief return to the campaign trail on Wednesday, suspending his congressional comeback bid just weeks after launching it.
Instead, Sanford said he will start a nonprofit group focused on the national debt and government spending, which has been a top issue for the former lawmaker.
“After a lot of thought, I’ve concluded that the most effective way I can contribute right now is not by seeking office, but by helping build a broader movement focused on the country’s financial future,” Sanford said in a <a href="https://x.com/MarkSanford/status/2049849181515223086?s=20" target="_blank" rel="noopener">statement</a> on Thursday.
Sanford represented South Carolina’s 1st Congressional District from 2013 until 2019, and previously served in the seat from 1995 to 2001. He also served as governor of South Carolina, gaining national attention in 2009 after he falsely claimed to be hiking the Appalachian Trail while he was in Argentina having an affair.
“I want to make a difference here, and as I began to get back into the world of politics it really began to hit me how all of Washington&#8217;s major changes have come as a result of outside pressure. Technical changes come from within Washington, but to do more of that on the debt issue is to rearrange chairs on the Titanic. It will take public pressure to bring lasting change,” he added.
“I’m grateful to everyone who offered their support,” Sanford continued. “While this isn’t the race I initially set out to run, I believe this effort has the potential to make a broader and more lasting impact.”
Sanford previously mounted a primary challenge against President Donald Trump in 2020.
He was seeking a return to South Carolina’s 1st Congressional District, which is ranked “Solid Republican” by the <a href="https://www.cookpolitical.com/ratings/house-race-ratings" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Cook Political Report</a>. Rep. Nancy Mace (R-SC) currently holds the seat, but she is running in a competitive primary for governor.
Sanford&#8217;s campaign launch earlier this month garnered some scrutiny, in part because it came on the same day as then-Rep. Eric Swalwell (D-CA) resigned from Congress amid sexual misconduct allegations.

Republicans are on the cusp of expelling Rep. Sheila Cherfilus-McCormick (D-FL) for pocketing millions in federal disaster relief funds and funneling them into her campaign. The House Ethics Committee has already found her in violation of House rules, and it will meet on Tuesday to determine her punishment. Speaker Mike Johnson has signaled the full House will take up her expulsion soon. That vote, if it passes, would hand Republicans a sufficient margin in the House to do what needs to be done and expel Rep. Cory Mills (R-FL).
The Florida Republican is a walking disaster. In February, police responded to a disturbance at Mills’ D.C. penthouse. His girlfriend was found in the lobby, physically shaking and scared, with fresh bruises on her arm. She later walked back her account and no charges were filed, but the episode exposed more mess: Mills was still married at the time, a fact his own staff didn’t know. Another person who was blindsided was his other girlfriend, former Miss United States Lindsey Langston, who quite reasonably looked at Mills’ conduct and decided to break things off. Mills responded by threatening to release explicit videos of her if she dated anyone else, according to texts reviewed by The Blaze.
But domestic violence and threats to release revenge porn barely scratch the surface of Mills’ scandals; there’s also the matter of stolen valor. Mills has repeatedly told voters he is an Army Ranger. He is not. He has claimed attendance at military sniper school and described being “blown up” twice in Iraq, including in campaign videos. Colleagues who served alongside him in contractor roles told investigators the claims were false. He lacked basic sniper knowledge that any graduate of the sniper school would possess. In one IED incident he cited, he wasn’t even in the vehicle that was hit and suffered no injuries. And when DynCorp, the contractor he worked for, demanded proof of the claims he made on his resume, Mills reportedly left his gear on his bed and walked off the job rather than produce documentation.
Add to that: his marriage (which he treated so cavalierly) was performed by a radical Islamist cleric, and there are serious questions about whether he converted to Islam around the same time. The scandals have piled up for months. Any one of them would be disqualifying for most professions. Together, they paint a picture of a man whose personal conduct makes him a permanent liability.
Mills’ recent votes prove it. Last September, Rep. Nancy Mace (R-SC) brought a censure resolution against Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) after Omar suggested Charlie Kirk brought his own assassination on himself. The resolution should have passed with unanimous Republican support. Omar’s comments were grotesque, and yet the resolution failed. Mills was one of only four GOP members to vote no. He proffered frivolous First Amendment arguments to justify his vote and even implied Charlie himself would have agreed. No one who watched the vote believed that for a second.
The real reason was obvious: Axios reported days earlier that Democrats planned to counter by threatening Mills with his own censure resolution. Mace herself later said Mills texted her threats after the vote. He wasn’t defending free speech; he was protecting his own hide. When the personal risk to Cory Mills went up, the interests of his constituents and his party went out the window.
This is not an isolated lapse. Mills has a pattern of self-dealing with his votes on censure resolutions. Lawyers get disbarred for putting their own interests ahead of their clients’. Members of Congress take an oath to their constituents and the Constitution. When personal scandals create an irreconcilable conflict that distorts their votes, the remedy is the same: removal.
Mills will not resign on his own. He has shown zero interest in an honorable exit. The only path left is for the House to do what it must. Expel him. Let Florida voters choose a replacement who can serve without a cloud of personal scandals dictating every vote. The Republican Party will be better for it.

Rep. Nancy Mace (R-SC) grilled Governor Tim Walz (D-MN) during a contentious Capitol Hill hearing addressing the rampant fraud in his state, much of which has been tied to the Somali immigrant community.
Mace specifically asked Walz a series of questions about fraud linked to funding designated to help children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder — and the Minnesota governor, combative at times, struggled to answer some of the most basic questions about the people in his state.

Mace began by asking Walz how much the state of Minnesota had spent on autism programs in 2017. Walz at first said that he did not know, and when Mace challenged him directly — asking whether he&#8217;d prepared for the hearing ahead of time — he argued that he did not know because he was not the governor in 2017.
&#8220;We&#8217;re gonna do some Minnesota math today,&#8221; Mace said, and she eventually revealed that Minnesota had spent approximately $1,000,000 on autism programs in 2017.
&#8220;How much money was spent on autism in Minnesota in 2024?&#8221; Mace asked then.
&#8220;I don&#8217;t have the number in front of me,&#8221; Walz replied. As governor I don&#8217;t —&#8221;
&#8220;Were you governor in 2024?&#8221; Mace asked.
&#8220;I was, but I&#8217;m not the —&#8221;
&#8220;Okay, so your excuse before, you didn&#8217;t know what 2017 autism numbers were because you were not governor, and today you can&#8217;t answer the numbers about 2024 as governor and you still said you prepared for this hearing today, it&#8217;s unbelievable,&#8221; Mace said. &#8220;$343,000,000 was spent in 2024. What percent increase is that, from one million to 343 million?&#8221;
&#8220;I&#8217;m not here to be your prop, go ahead and tell me,&#8221; Walz snapped.
&#8220;Are you governor of Minnesota or not?&#8221; Mace asked.
&#8220;Yes, I am,&#8221; Walz replied.
&#8220;Well, when I&#8217;m governor of South Carolina, you can sure as hell bet that I&#8217;m going to know the math,&#8221; Mace shot back, explaining that it those numbers represented a 34,200% increase.
&#8220;Do you know the number of children in Minnesota?&#8221; she asked.
&#8220;I know that Minnesota ranked as a top three state for children in the last year,&#8221; Walz said.
Mace asked what the state&#8217;s total population was, and Walz knew the answer to that question: &#8220;5.7 million.&#8221;
&#8220;What is the total population of children in Minnesota?&#8221; Mace followed up.
&#8220;I don&#8217;t have the number in front of me,&#8221; Walz said.
&#8220;Are you governor of Minnesota?&#8221; Mace repeated. &#8220;And you don&#8217;t know the number of children residing in Minnesota? &#8230; As governor, I expect you to know this information. Thank God you&#8217;re not the vice president.&#8221;

Five Republicans joined all Democrats in attendance on the GOP-led House Oversight Committee in passing a motion to subpoena U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi to testify on the administration&#8217;s handling of the Jeffrey Epstein investigation.
Wednesday&#8217;s vote means Bondi could soon be in front of the same committee that grilled former President Bill Clinton and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton over their ties to Epstein last week. The motion was proposed by Republican Rep. Nancy Mace of South Carolina and supported by Reps. Lauren Boebert (R-CO), Tim Burchett (R-TN), Michael Cloud (R-TX), and Scott Perry (R-PA), along with every Democrat who was present for a 24-19 vote.
&#8220;AG Bondi will testify about missing Epstein evidence. The videos, the audio, the documents the DOJ is hiding,&#8221; Mace <a href="https://x.com/RepNancyMace/status/2029305372813533324">said</a>. &#8220;The American people deserve transparency. Survivors deserve justice. We&#8217;re delivering both. Accountability is coming.&#8221;
It would not be the first time for Bondi to testify under oath about her handling of the Epstein case. The attorney general faced numerous questions from Democrats and Republican Rep. Thomas Massie during a House Judiciary Committee hearing last month. Bondi blasted Democrats&#8217; focus on the Epstein case as a &#8220;circus.&#8221;
Bondi has faced intense scrutiny since she suggested last year that Epstein&#8217;s so-called client list was sitting on her desk, but later clarified that she was referring to a file on the Epstein case, not an actual client list. When the Justice Department closed its investigation into Epstein in July, it said that it found no evidence of a client list.
The Justice Department has also been criticized for its messy rollout of the millions of documents and tens of thousands of images related to the Epstein case. After the final file dump in late January, the Justice Department scrambled to remove unredacted nude images of young women. Other files had to be removed because they revealed personal information of people, which should have been redacted, including full names and addresses.
After the final Epstein document dump in January, the Justice Department took down more than 47,000 files, which made up around 65,000 total pages, as it worked to redact sensitive information. While those files contain some of the sensitive photos and information that should have been redacted, it&#8217;s unclear why most of the 65,000 pages continue to be held by the Trump administration. Mace accused the Justice Department of hiding the missing 65,000 pages.
“We’re gonna be talking about real, substantive issues, like the 65,000 documents that are being hidden by the DOJ right now,” Mace <a href="https://www.politico.com/news/2026/03/04/pam-bondi-subpoena-epstien-00812960">said</a> after voting to subpoena Bondi.
Robert Garcia, the ranking Democrat on the Oversight Committee, <a href="https://thehill.com/homenews/house/5767681-pam-bondi-subpoena-epstein-files-oversight/">said</a> before the vote, &#8220;Look, the American public has significant questions about the DOJ and the process for releasing of the files. … I think it’s important that [Bondi] is in front of our committee, she can directly answer questions about the release of the files, about transparency, about ensuring that victims and survivors are protected.&#8221;
After the Clintons were deposed last week, Democrats called for the committee to subpoena President Donald Trump, arguing that the Republican effort to grill the Clintons &#8220;set a new precedent.&#8221;
While Trump has not been accused of any wrongdoing related to Epstein&#8217;s crimes, the Epstein case has been a thorn in his administration&#8217;s side for most of his second term. On Tuesday, Trump&#8217;s Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick agreed to testify before the Oversight Committee on his ties to Epstein.

I now spend most of my life living in Northern Nigeria, where this genocide is happening. I know firsthand the reality of the gruesome violence against Christians. I have even carried the bodies of my friends who have been murdered. So, I was thrilled to see Maher take valuable airtime to highlight the horrific reality of Nigeria’s Christian genocide.
One of Maher’s more poignant comments came when he stated, “The fact that this issue has not gotten on people’s radar. It’s pretty amazing. The United States Government, media, and even the American Church seem to be silent on the issue. Indeed, over 100,000 Christians have been slaughtered since 2009. By July of this year, 7,000 more Christians were murdered in cold blood. Currently, thirty Christians are killed every day in Nigeria, thousands of churches are destroyed, hundreds of pastors are abducted, and millions of people are left starving. The silence is deafening. 
An abundance of attention has been given to Gaza, Ukraine, and Iran. So, why is virtually no attention being given to the thousands of Christians who are being murdered every year in Nigeria and the atrocities of Boko Haram and ISWA?
One possible answer is that it may be much easier to bury one’s head in the sand than to deal with the problem. That has been the approach of recent administrations in the United States. In 2021, the Biden Administration inexplicably removed Nigeria from the State Department’s “Country of Particular Concern” list. When the State Department offered its report on religious freedom, the following year, Nigeria was not even mentioned. Outrageously, at the same time, Christians were being killed by the thousands, and the genocide was in full swing. President Biden even ignored a resolution from the House Foreign Affairs Committee calling for immediate intervention in Nigeria. With that, a precedent was set, and the United States government refused even to acknowledge that the problem existed. It has yet to be seen if the Trump administration will recognize this genocide or continue to ignore it.

In the media, there is a dark pattern concerning genocides. During World War II, many German citizens knew what was happening in the death camps. Although some reports of the mass killing of Jews were being circulated in the American media, it was not given nearly the attention it deserved. But rather than blow the whistle and investigate the claims, the American media remained largely silent. The same thing happened with the killing fields of Cambodia and the Rwandan genocide. During both events, the United States and the world stayed quiet and did nothing of consequence.
A genocide is the deliberate and planned attempt to destroy a national, ethnic, racial, or religious group. <a href="https://www.un.org/en/academic-impact/origins-genocide">According to the UN</a>, what we learn from history is that genocides can last for decades without shocking the conscience of the world. While the killing is happening, very few speak out. Ironically, when the genocides are over, we make movies about them. It’s far easier to deal with the aftermath than it is to face the actual atrocities.
The most shameful has been the silence of the American church. We are the wealthiest and most influential nation in the world. It has the resources, reach, and influence to raise awareness and compel the faith community to get involved. The American church has the means to sway people, lawmakers, and the media, and urge them to take action. Unfortunately, it has followed suit and remained oddly quiet. The Bible teaches us that it is our job to bring light to the hidden things of darkness (Eph. 5:11-14). If we refuse, how can we possibly expect anyone else to act?
I am grateful that Bill Maher was courageous enough to speak out on the Nigerian genocide, prompting a worldwide conversation. It shows us what one liberal, atheist comedian, who makes a 47-second comment, can do. Imagine the impact if all of us did the same.
