<a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/tim-tebow">Tim Tebow</a> and his wife, former Miss Universe Demi-Leigh Tebow, definitely got everyone’s attention on Tuesday when the couple announced that they are expecting their first child.
In a joint post on <a href="https://www.instagram.com/p/DE0HoN-phS0/">Instagram,</a> the couple posted a video of them holding hands before the former NFL QB showed off a series of ultrasound photos announcing they were going to be parents. At one point in the clip, the former beauty queen turned around and showed off her baby bump, with both of them grinning from ear to ear about their exciting news.
The post was captioned simply, “Baby Tebow,” with an announcement that their little one will be arriving this summer.
“Team Tebow is expanding! Tim Tebow and his wife Demi-Leigh are expecting their first baby together, they share with PEOPLE exclusively while expressing their joy at becoming first-time parents ahead of their public announcement on Instagram,” a <a href="https://www.instagram.com/p/DE0Ivj_ppbi/?img_index=1">second post</a> from the former beauty pageant winner read.

Tebow, a college football analyst, told the magazine that when he learned they were going to be parents, it gave him a whole new perspective on life.
&#8220;It&#8217;s just amazing how it also reprioritizes and changes what you put an emphasis on and what you value most,&#8221; the former QB said.
&#8220;News like that just supersedes the level of importance and the level of joy that you have,&#8221; he added. &#8220;It&#8217;s just so cool.&#8221;
As an outspoken pro-life advocate, Tebow previously gained a lot of attention when he shared his mom’s story at the annual March For Life event in 2021. For the first time ever, an active duty U.S. female Army officer was crowned Miss USA on Sunday &#8212; the same year that a trans-identifying male won the Miss Maryland <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/beauty-pageant">beauty pageant</a>.
On Sunday, at the Miss USA Pageant in Los Angeles, Miss Michigan, Alma Cooper, smiled as she walked the catwalk, waving to the crowd while wearing the tiara and a sash that read Miss USA, <a href="https://www.cnn.com/2024/08/04/style/miss-usa-winner-alma-cooper-michigan/index.html">CNN</a> reported.
Cooper &#8212; who is a second lieutenant who serves as a military intelligence officer &#8212; told judges during the Q&amp;A portion of the pageant that “as the daughter of a migrant worker, a proud Afro Latina woman and an officer of the United States Army, I am living the American dream.&#8221;
“If there’s anything that my life and my mother have taught me, it’s that your circumstances never define your destiny: You can make success accessible through demanding excellence,” she added.

Speaking in a recent <a href="https://www.instagram.com/p/C6FqC1YO_1C/?hl=en&amp;img_index=1">article</a>, Cooper said, “Other contestants may be drawn to pageants for their glitz and glamor, but I see the stage as an opportunity to represent the many girls of color who often go unseen and unheard, and to inspire others to free themselves from circumstances and perceptions about who they are.”
Miss Maryland, Bailey Anne Kennedy, who identifies as transgender, was on hand at the event to compete against the 49 female pageant winners on Sunday in the Miss USA competition, as previously <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/newly-crowned-miss-maryland-usa-is-a-man">reported</a>. Out of the 50 contestants, the top 20 women were chosen, and Kennedy was not one, the <a href="https://www.baltimoresun.com/2024/08/04/miss-michigan-alma-cooper-wins-miss-usa-2024/">Baltimore Sun</a> noted.
Kennedy won the state competition in June, calling the victory a “whirlwind because I knew it was bigger than me. I knew that it was going to mean a lot for all the LGBTQ kids out there who might feel like they don’t belong in a box — like me growing up.”

Last year, Rikkie Kolle, a 22-year-old trans-identifying man, was crowned “Miss Netherlands” and went on to compete in the 2023 Miss Universe pageant, as previously <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/post-truth-world-man-wins-miss-netherlands-sparking-outrage-on-twitter">reported</a>.
The same year, a trans-identifying male was crowned “Miss San Francisco” and went on to compete in the <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/california">Miss California</a> pageant for the crown. Monroe Lace, a man who identifies as a woman, won the pageant in March, qualifying to compete for the 2023 Miss California title.

<a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/newly-crowned-miss-maryland-usa-is-a-man">Miss Maryland</a> contestants said they were shocked to realize they had been changing and using the restroom &#8220;in the same space as a biological man&#8221; after discovering they had competed against a male after he was crowned Miss Maryland USA. 
Speaking to the <a href="https://www.dailysignal.com/2024/06/26/exclusive-miss-maryland-contestants-push-back-male-winner-steals-crown/">Daily Signal</a>, several women who competed in the recent Miss Maryland contest said they were &#8220;disgusted&#8221; and called the competition &#8220;rigged&#8221; after a trans-identifying male who goes by the name Bailey Anne Kennedy won the competition on the first day of Pride month.
On June 1, the trans-identifying male was crowned Miss Maryland USA, a competition that promises a “fair environment in which young women have the opportunity to develop skills that will help them win in life by being their personal best in everything they do,” the outlet noted.
“I first realized I competed with a biological man a few days after the competition,” contestant Elizabeth McCarthy said. “I saw it on the Miss Maryland USA Instagram post. At first, I was shocked. I felt sick to my stomach and was so upset for the other women in the top five. I was disgusted and disappointed that the pageant coordinators allowed women to undress in front of a man without any disclosure.”

“I feel Kennedy won this competition because it was set up,” she added. “What are the odds that a trans-identifying individual wins the Miss Maryland USA title on the first day of Pride Month? I feel that men are taking over everything that women worked so hard for.”
Another contestant told the outlet, “I felt lied to. I would’ve liked to know ahead of time, as I was subject to change, utilize the bathroom, and be in the same space as a biological man … it surely seemed like the organization and Bailey was trying to hide this fact until it was convenient to them.”

A third contestant said the fact that a trans-identifying male won the crown on the 1st day of Pride Month shows the “competition was rigged.”
“There isn’t a doubt in my mind that it was not,” the contestant said. “For example, I think in previous years, the pageant secured different judges … I think they were changed. In addition, the staff were not respectful nor pleasant. I completely understand that this is a pageant and it is fast paced, but there is a certain respect that individuals should provide, especially since we are all grown women who can take direction and listen.”
“I believe it is disheartening to have so many women pay for coaches, hair and makeup, and find sponsors when they already knew who they were going to select,” she added.
Kennedy will now compete for the title of Miss USA in Los Angeles in August, a competition that is part of the <a href="https://www.nbcnews.com/nbc-out/out-news/transgender-businesswoman-buys-miss-universe-pageant-20m-rcna54138">Miss Universe</a> pageant, which is now owned by a trans-identifying male.

The first-ever plus-sized <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/miss-universe">Miss Universe</a> contestant, Jane Dipika Garrett, said she struggles with <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/obesity">weight gain</a> due to a medical condition.
The 22-year-old beauty pageant participant said she was surprised to have made it so far in the competition. Garrett, who represents Nepal, spoke with <a href="https://www.foxnews.com/media/plus-size-miss-universe-contestant-responds-critics-body-shaming">Fox News Digital</a> about the experience so far. 
&#8220;I really did not expect to get that much applause on the stage or that much spotlight,&#8221; Garrett told the outlet. &#8220;I came with a humble heart… but when I won on that stage, I got the loudest applause from the whole entire audience. And that felt so good because it was like a breakthrough moment for me and for society that they see something different, that they see real size beauty.&#8221;
Miss Nepal also noted how some viewers had negative reactions to her being a contender for Miss Universe.
&#8220;I see things like, &#8216;Oh, she&#8217;s a whale,&#8217; or &#8216;That&#8217;s disgusting. I&#8217;m going to vomit.&#8217; Or like, &#8216;She&#8217;s promoting obesity.&#8217; &#8216;Why don&#8217;t you go to the gym?&#8217; And things like that,&#8221; she said. &#8220;And it&#8217;s like they don&#8217;t even know my story. They don&#8217;t even know what I&#8217;m going through.&#8221;
Garrett told Fox News that she has a condition called polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS). This condition causes the ovaries to produce a higher amount of male sex hormones, which can lead to weight gain, irregular periods, acne, cysts, infertility, and excess hair growth.
&#8220;So it&#8217;s very easy for us to gain weight,” the beauty pageant contestant said. “Even if we just look at a piece of cake, we can gain weight,&#8221; she said. &#8220;[Critics are] just judging me from social media. And that&#8217;s their problem. I don&#8217;t let it bother me… Society can be very cruel. People can be very cruel sometimes.&#8221;
&#8220;Recently, I&#8217;ve gained a lot of weight because of my hormonal issues,” Garrett continued. “And that&#8217;s also really taken a toll on my mental health and my self-esteem because I thought that I wasn&#8217;t good enough or that I wasn&#8217;t beautiful enough. But I really had to get the validation for myself and learn how to have a positive mindset and to love myself despite not feeling my best self,&#8221; she said. 
&#8220;It&#8217;s about being confident in your own skin and accepting who you are, where you are at. So I had to really remove all of those messages that were coming from society as well as coming from my own mind. So I had to really brainwash myself again and accept who I am and love myself.&#8221;
Garrett also said she believes that any body type can be beautiful. 
&#8220;You don&#8217;t have to do something like what a celebrity does or that a model does to be considered beautiful. I think that what&#8217;s most important for you, whatever suits you, is what is beautiful for you. And then I think that&#8217;s so important to just embrace who you are and love who you are and not try to fit into what society says is beautiful,&#8221; Garrett added.

Miss Nepal went on to describe how she struggled with mental health and “had a lot of eating disorders and mental health issues” during childhood. 
&#8220;I would feel like I&#8217;m not good enough. I&#8217;m too big because I&#8217;ve always been naturally big-boned. The boys had naturally a bigger figure. I&#8217;ve always been curvy since I was a child,” she said.
Finally, Garrett said being healthy is more important than being very thin. &#8220;Some models can completely starve themselves and do like liposuction or something. And there&#8217;s nothing wrong with that. That&#8217;s their own choices, but then they could be promoting that as their beauty standards,&#8221; she said. &#8220;And then some people that are very overweight and are very unhealthy could be promoting that and saying that that that they&#8217;re being body positive. But I think that there should be a balance.&#8221; 
She added, “Body positivity for me basically stands for whatever body that you&#8217;re in. You accept it, you love yourself, you are embracing what you are, but you&#8217;re also going towards a healthy lifestyle.&#8221;
This year’s Miss Universe contest previously made headlines for the inclusion of two trans-identifying contestants, 23-year-old flight attendant Marina Machete who is competing as Miss Portugal and Rikkie Kollé, who won the title of Miss Netherlands.
Sheynnis Palacios of Nicaragua was crowned the 2023 Miss Universe during the 72nd Miss Universe Competition on November 18.

Former President Trump is vowing to &#8220;defeat the cult of gender ideology&#8221; as he pursues a second term in the White House, but he has not always been consistent on the polarizing issue, which could animate the 2024 presidential election.
Just over a decade ago, Trump endorsed letting a man claiming to be a woman compete in the Miss Universe pageant that he owned at the time. Referring to 23-year-old Canadian Jenna Talaackova as a &#8220;woman,&#8221; Trump said the contest should be open to men who identify as women.
“This is a young woman, who, according to the laws of Canada, and according to the laws of the United States, is allowed to enter the pageant system,” Trump <a href="https://www.cnn.com/videos/politics/2023/06/17/trump-remarks-transgender-women-inclusion-beauty-pageant-kfile-ebof-vpx.cnn" target="_blank" rel="noopener">said</a>. “What I did, is I said, &#8216;We have 58 contestants in Canada. Let her run, and maybe she’ll win. And if she wins she’ll go to Miss Universe.’ And I think I made the right decision. I feel fine with the decision.”
More recently, in 2016, Trump spoke out against the so-called “bathroom bill” in North Carolina that barred men from using women’s bathrooms.
“Leave it the way it is,&#8221; Trump said at the time. &#8220;There have been very few complaints the way it is. People go, they use the bathroom that they feel is appropriate, there has been so little trouble.”
Radical gender theory has emerged as a hot-button issue in the 2024 presidential race, touching on education, parenting, sports, and culture. Many on the Left embrace the idea that people can change their gender and even support irreversible chemical and surgical procedures for children. The increasingly crowded GOP primary field is generally critical of the controversial claims, and now, that includes Trump.
“No serious country should be telling its children that they were born with the wrong gender.” Trump <a href="https://www.wionews.com/world/trump-kicks-off-2024-campaign-targeting-gender-expression-ron-desantis-575870" target="_blank" rel="noopener">reiterated</a> in late March, “We will defeat the cult of gender ideology to reassert that God created two genders, male and female,” then <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7CLvbhEBZT8" target="_blank" rel="noopener">said</a> in April, “I will keep men out of women’s sports.”
Trump has been on both sides of the issue in the past. While president, Trump was criticized by the LGBTQ community for reversing Obama-era rules that defined &#8220;sex discrimination&#8221; as applying to cases of discrimination based on sexual orientation or gender identity. He was <a href="https://www.nytimes.com/2020/06/12/us/politics/trump-transgender-rights.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">accused</a> by The New York Times of taking action in 2020 that &#8220;erases transgender civil rights protections.&#8221; He also <a href="https://www.nbcnews.com/feature/nbc-out/trump-s-controversial-transgender-military-policy-goes-effect-n993826" target="_blank" rel="noopener">banned</a> transgender people from serving in the military, a policy that upheld by the U.S. Supreme Court, but later reversed by President Joe Biden.
Trump&#8217;s closest challenger, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, has been a harsh critic of sex-change procedures for minors, allowing biological boys and men to compete in female sports, and allowing public schools to push radical gender theory. As far back as June 1, 2021, the first day of Pride Month, DeSantis approved legislation banning men and boys from competing in high school and college women&#8217;s sports.
“In Florida, girls are going to play girls&#8217; sports and boys are going to play boys&#8217; sports,&#8221; DeSantis <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tj-bxPVRqTs">said</a>. “We&#8217;re going to make sure that that&#8217;s the reality. &#8230; The bill that we’re doing today will ensure fairness for women athletes for years to come in the state of Florida. &#8230; We’re going to go based off biology, not based off ideology when we’re doing sports.”

The new transgender owner of the Miss Universe Organization declared at the event over the weekend that the new global era for women&#8217;s empowerment would be led by trans people.
Biological male Anne Jakkaphong Jakrajutatip, CEO and biggest shareholder of JKN Global Group Public Company Limited, bought the organization for $20 million late last year from Endeavor’s IMG.
&#8220;It has been 70 years that Miss Universe Organization run by men. But now, time is up, is the moment really, for women to take the leap,&#8221; Jakrajutatip said. &#8220;Welcome to the new era of the global women&#8217;s empowerment platform. Welcome to the Miss Universe Organization. From now on is going to be ran by women, owned by a trans woman, for all women, for all women really around the world to celebrate the power of feminism.&#8221;

The Miss Universe pageant, originated in 1952, had previously been owned by Donald Trump starting in 1996 along with CBS and then NBC before it was sold to IMG in 2015.

Recently, Miss Universe suspended the organizers of Miss USA after a furor erupted following the annual Miss USA pageant.
Contestants in the 2022 Miss USA pageant received an email from Miss Universe CEO Amy Emmerich informing them that Miss Brand, which runs the pageant, has been suspended from the pageant.
“After thorough deliberation, Miss Universe Organization has decided to suspend Miss Brand immediately,” Emmerich wrote. “Miss Universe will be taking over the Miss USA program while a comprehensive third-party investigation is conducted.”
“We are appreciative of the cooperation we’ve seen from Miss USA Director Crystle Stewart as we work through this process,” Emmerich added.
Stewart, the director of Miss Brand and the winner of Miss USA in 2008 before starting to run the pageant in 2020, had come under fire after contestants alleged that the pageant favored the eventual winner, Miss Texas, R’Bonney Gabriel. After Gabriel’s victory was announced and she walked around the stage, other contestants, in an unprecedented move, walked off the stage.
TMZ <a href="https://www.tmz.com/2023/01/15/miss-universe-new-owner-accused-rigging-pageant-miss-usa/">reported</a> that Jakrajutatip was now being accused of &#8220;rigging the pageant for Miss USA&#8221; after the pageant this weekend.

Miss Missouri, Mikala McGhee, claimed Gabriel’s victory had been preordained because she is a Filipina-American, and the Filipina community has a large pageant fanbase.
“I think that [Miss USA] are in a state where they are trying to revamp and re-glamorize pageantry here in the United States, because we&#8217;ve been seeing a constant drop off in enrollment for pageants, and not just in the Miss USA system,” she said.
“Not to say that Gabriel couldn&#8217;t have gone out here and won this on her own, but I think that she was a Houstonian — everyone, again, from the Miss Brand &#8230; and most from Miss USA Organization, including Crystle herself, are from Houston. They&#8217;re Houston natives,” McGhee continued.

The <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/miss-universe">Miss Universe</a> contest recently announced a rules adjustment that would allow more <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/women">women</a> to compete, according to a recent report.
Insider <a href="https://www.insider.com/miss-universe-will-allow-married-women-mothers-to-compete-2022-8">reported</a> on the change to the current rules, which limited participation to only single women between the ages of 18 and 28 for all 70 years of the competition. The new update will allow <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/mothers">mothers</a> and married women to also compete for the Miss Universe title.
“We all believe that women should have agency over their lives and that a human’s personal decisions should not be a barrier to their success,” an internal memo seen by The National said. A source claims the memo went out to national directors last week.
“The Miss Universe Organization is always the greatest and most innovative platform of its kind and now it will be more inclusive and welcoming to mothers and married women,” national director of Miss Universe Bahrain Josh Yugen told The National. 
“For me, this is aligned with what I have been fighting for — breaking stereotypes and unlearning the stigma that the old society has forced on us from many many decades ago.”
The Miss Universe winner from 2020 also celebrated the rules update, saying it’s about time moms and wives could participate.
“I honestly love that this is happening,” Miss Universe winner Andrea Meza said. “Just like society changes and women are now occupying leadership positions where in the past only men could, it was about time pageants changed and opened up to women with families.”
“There are a lot of women that got married young or had kids in their early 20s and they always wanted to participate in Miss Universe but couldn’t because of the rules,” she continued. “Now those women can start or boost their careers in entertainment because of these changes.”
The update means a lot to Meza personally as her win was tainted when photos of her in a wedding gown were discovered online, causing a scandal at the time. It turned out the images were from a photo shoot, but the Mexican model insists it shouldn’t matter if she’s married or single.
“A few people are against these changes because they always wanted to see a single, beautiful woman who is available for a relationship,” she said, per Insider. “They always wanted to see a woman that from the outside looks so perfect that she’s almost unreachable. The former is sexist and the latter is unrealistic.”
“Just like in any other industry, women are capable of having demanding leadership positions without or with a family, it is no different in this case,” Meza concluded.

Former Miss United Continents Brazil 2018, Gleycy Correia, has reportedly died at age 27.
Correia&#8217;s family priest, Lidiane Alves Oliviera, told the <a href="https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-10937997/Miss-Brazil-2018-dies-aged-27-heart-attack-days-routine-tonsil-operation.html">Daily Mail</a> that Miss Brazil died at a private clinic on Monday after suffering from a heart attack and heavy bleeding following what was called a routine operation to have her tonsils removed back in March.
&#8220;She had surgery to remove her tonsils and after five days at home, she had a hemorrhage,&#8221; Oliviera told the outlet
The priest explained that Correia was left in a coma for two months after suffering cardiac arrest on April 4.
&#8220;She went to Unimed and had a cardiac arrest on 4th April and since then she was in a coma, with no neurological activity,&#8221; Oliviera shared. &#8220;Today she passed away.&#8221;

Pastor Jak Abreu, who knows the beauty queen&#8217;s family, shared on social media that the family alleges there was medical malpractice involved.
&#8220;God chose this day to collect our princess,&#8221; Pastor Abreu shared. &#8220;We know that she will be greatly missed, but she will now be brightening the sky with her smile..&#8221;
&#8220;To everyone who prayed, thank you very much,&#8221; the pastor added. &#8220;May the Lord reward every prayer of love and all these days together. She fulfilled her purpose and left her legacy of love in us. The late-beauty pageant star was no stranger to the pageant world and had been participating in them since she was a teenager.  At the age of 23, she won Miss United Continents Brazil 2018.

An autopsy is still pending to determine the exact cause of death.

The tweet included graphics of which words to use and not use. The “How to talk about periods” slides recommended replacing “women’s health” with “reproductive health” and “women who have periods” with “people who have periods.” 
“Not all women menstruate and not all people who menstruate are women,” the final graphic says.
Followers were confused by the virtue signaling, especially by an organization like Miss Universe.

Inclusive language has become a hot issue, with multiple brands including feminine product companies jumping on the bandwagon. NPR was mocked recently for their tweet about national tampon shortages.

Miss Universe Twitter Account Mocked For Promoting 'Inclusive Language' About Periods

On Monday’s episode of “The Andrew Klavan Show,” Klavan discusses Kathy Zhu losing her crown as Miss Michigan. Zhu claims it was because of her pro-Trump activism on social media. Video and partial transcript below:
Kathy Zhu was crowned Miss Michigan by the Miss World America organization and she has been stripped of her title now. Whatever your opinion is of beauty contests, whether you like them, whether you don’t, whether they&#8217;re interesting to you or not, girls who go into beauty contests work extraordinarily hard.
Obviously, it&#8217;s a big test. They have to look perfect; they have to act perfectly and they have to walk perfectly; they have to stay in shape. It is a lot of work. So, when you take away somebody&#8217;s crown, you&#8217;re doing a big thing. Yet, it&#8217;s the kind of thing it would be news for a day, and it will disappear. But, in her life, this is a big deal, that she is stripped of something that she earned. Why was she stripped of it? Well, first of all, she&#8217;s a conservative activist. She&#8217;s a University of Michigan senior and the social media director for the national group Chinese Americans for Trump. She shared on social media an email she had received on Thursday, when she was told that she could no longer be Miss Michigan, because of some tweets she sent out.
For instance, she tweeted, &#8220;Did you know the majority of black deaths are caused by other blacks? Fix problems with your own community first before blaming others.&#8221; Here&#8217;s another one, &#8220;There&#8217;s a try a hijab on booth at my college campus. So, you&#8217;re telling me that it&#8217;s now just a fashion accessory and not a religious thing or are you just trying to get women used to being oppressed under Islam.”
These are perfectly valid opinions. You may disagree, you may not. I mean, it is true that black violence against other blacks does account for more deaths than white violence against blacks. It is true also, that a hijab is a religious thing. When you say try on a hijab, you&#8217;re not just saying, “Oh, here&#8217;s a fashion accessory,” you are communicating an entire philosophy, which if women find oppressive you know that&#8217;s not a head-scratcher for me. But still, I can see you disagree, but she loses her crown for this. She loses her crown for speaking her opinion. Here&#8217;s her response to the people who supported her.
<blockquote>Kathy Zhu: Hey everyone this is Kathy Zhu; I just want to say thank you so much for all your support. It&#8217;s been a heck of a two days, honestly. Yesterday I was crying when I first saw the messages and emails from the organization, but today&#8217;s a new day, and today was amazing, honestly. I&#8217;m so glad this story got brought into the public eye and the media because this is so much bigger than pageantry. This is about, you know, an organization that discriminates against people with different opinions, calling people racist even when they&#8217;re not. Just literal attacks like those, really, really diminishes the value and the truth of the word &#8216;racism&#8217;. So, you know, there shouldn&#8217;t just be diversity of skin color, there should be diversity of thought, of mindset, of political affiliation. I&#8217;m so glad to be able to be the voice for this right now and I hope that other pageant organizations could really learn from this story and the situation to not discriminate others based on opinions. So, don&#8217;t worry, I&#8217;ll still stand firm, stand my ground. I&#8217;m still going to continue fighting for what I believe in. So yeah, thank you guys so much for the support once again. Well, shame on them, right? I mean it is a beautiful girl, obviously extremely intelligent, very articulate, who knows exactly what she&#8217;s saying. Plus, she has the courage of her conviction, she has integrity. They didn&#8217;t even give her a chance apparently, didn&#8217;t give her chance to defend herself, but she could have come out and cry, &#8220;Oh I&#8217;m so sorry.&#8221; She could have tried to get back in their good graces. Instead, she stood firm. She has a picture of herself wearing the &#8220;Make America Great Again&#8221; MAGA hat. That actually is the kind of woman who should be winning contests, that&#8217;s an American woman, that is somebody where we all sit back and say &#8220;Yes, that&#8217;s the kind of woman we want America to be made up of.&#8221; People who stand for what they stand for. She&#8217;s not attacking anybody, she&#8217;s not &#8220;milkshaking&#8221; anybody, she&#8217;s not throwing anything at anyone. She&#8217;s simply expressing her opinions; you don&#8217;t like them, disagree. It&#8217;s an amazing thing how the Left has managed to make a disagreement a matter of hostility.
I mean, look, I disagree with a lot of my friends, a lot of people I love. I disagree with them, we argue sometimes, even our voices go up when we argue, but it never changes anything. I remember once, that Ben and I got into a political argument and I went home and the &#8220;god-king,&#8221; Jeremy, called me and said, “The people who are watching that argument were afraid that you guys were angry,&#8221; and I said, “Angry? I&#8217;m not angry at all.&#8221; We were just passionate about what we were talking about and debating.
That&#8217;s part of being an American, it&#8217;s part of being free, it&#8217;s one of the joys of life to debate people of goodwill and things that you disagree with. I&#8217;m at this very moment have been talking to a lot of people who disagree with some of my points of view, and I&#8217;ve expanded my points of view on certain things that are very important to me about the culture. I&#8217;ll talk about that another time, but that&#8217;s because of debate. To silence a woman like that is shameful, and to take away the thing that she worked for and earned is shameful.
