There have been a lot of changes in the second Trump administration, as we all know. But there was one change from the very beginning that hasn&#8217;t gotten nearly as much attention as it should. It&#8217;s when Trump stood up during his inauguration speech and invoked the idea of Manifest Destiny, which is of course deeply rooted in the idea of American exceptionalism.
For the first time in many generations, a U.S. president felt no shame in proclaiming that America is the greatest nation on the planet. And crucially, Donald Trump didn&#8217;t make this proclamation as a platitude. He wasn&#8217;t seeking to get a quick sound bite out of it, by reminding people of history class when they heard terms like &#8220;Manifest Destiny&#8221; and American exceptionalism. Instead, Trump meant it, in a practical sense. We&#8217;re the best nation, he said. And therefore we can do what we want. We can impose tariffs and force everyone to the negotiating table. We can deport criminals and ignore corrupt judges who tell us otherwise. In a matter of weeks, we can eliminate bureaucracy, talk about acquiring Greenland, and become energy independent — which is no small thing when the entire continent of Europe teeters on the verge of a blackout.  We can do all of these things because, in very real terms, we are unique. Period. We have a fighting spirit that no other nation on the planet can match.
If you attended college in the last 50 years, you&#8217;ve probably been conditioned not to say things like this. You&#8217;re told it&#8217;s gaudy, or a relic of colonialism or something like that. But it happens to be true. And every day, we&#8217;re reminded it&#8217;s true. We can see, right out in the open, that other nations are inferior to our own. Look closely enough, and you&#8217;ll see that they&#8217;ll admit it. They are preoccupied with their own destruction.
Let&#8217;s start with the UK, which is allegedly one of our closest allies. A couple of weeks ago, you might remember, we <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pg3G_P1jO_c" target="_blank" rel="noopener">talked about</a> the Netflix show &#8220;Adolescence,&#8221; and how it&#8217;s essentially taken over the entire country. 
&#8220;Adolescence&#8221; is a mini-series in which a white 13-year-old boy named Jamie stabs a girl to death after the girl rejects his advances. The &#8220;hook,&#8221; if you can call it that, is that the show blames online culture for the killer&#8217;s actions, at least to some extent. The victim had bullied the 13-year-old boy on Instagram, for example. He had been called an &#8220;incel&#8221; and so on. The point of the show is that &#8220;male rage&#8221; is fueled by online misogyny and bullying, and that children are liable to become murderers at any moment, even if they live in a loving, stable two-parent household. That&#8217;s the message the showrunners wanted to convey, even though it flies in the face of common sense and every data point we have. Beyond that, there wasn&#8217;t anything very interesting about the show. The cameraman is doing more interesting things than any of the actors, since everything is supposedly shot in one take.
So it was reasonable to assume that, after the initial hype died down over this mini-series, that the UK would move on pretty quickly. That&#8217;s the normal trajectory that shows like this tend to follow. And indeed, that&#8217;s what many in my audience said would happen. I received dozens of comments on my last monologue on &#8220;Adolescence&#8221;, where several people who live in Britain explained that, actually, the show isn&#8217;t that popular over there to begin with. Additionally, as we discussed, there was an infamous interview broadcast on the BBC, where the anchors grill a conservative politician about the fact that she hasn&#8217;t seen the show. They were stunned, for the entire interview, that she hadn&#8217;t watched it. And no matter how much the politician tried to explain to these anchors that the show isn&#8217;t real, they kept doubling down. When we played that footage two weeks ago, it seemed like it was safe to assume that the obsession over this show had officially jumped the shark. It seemed too absurd to continue. Everyone, even fans of the show, would certainly walk away slowly and find something else to fixate on.
But that hasn&#8217;t happened in the UK. Instead, &#8220;Adolescence&#8221; isn&#8217;t simply dominating political discussions anymore. Now the show is being used to justify new legislation that would dramatically curtail free speech rights in the country — almost as if that was the point of the show all along. In fact, the show&#8217;s creators just testified in parliament to demand this new legislation. Yes, the government held an entire hearing on a fictional television show, in which the show&#8217;s writer testified as an expert before the government&#8217;s &#8220;Women and Equalities Committee.&#8221; That is the very dire and hopeless state of the so-called United Kingdom at the moment.
We&#8217;ll start at the beginning of the hearing, when a member of parliament named Sarah Owen begins questioning Jack Thorne, who&#8217;s the creator and executive producer of &#8220;Adolescence.&#8221; And this member of parliament is very interested in knowing more about Jamie, and why he snapped and decided to kill a girl. But there&#8217;s a bit of a snag, because the politician clearly doesn&#8217;t understand what the creator of the show was getting at, which leads to this mildly amusing exchange. Watch:

There&#8217;s a couple of layers of embarrassment here. First of all, of course, they&#8217;re talking about a fake person as if he&#8217;s real. He&#8217;s saying it would take him &#8220;nine years&#8221; to unpack the brain of a fictional character named Jamie, who, because he doesn&#8217;t actually exist, does not therefore have a brain, or a history, or emotions. And for her part, the politician — who apparently chairs this committee in parliament — keeps pressing for more information about this fictional individual. She&#8217;s really determined to understand what makes him tick, even though he doesn&#8217;t exist. This went on for something like two hours, by the way. The hearing was full of moments like this.
As it went on, it became clear that Jack Thorne is especially concerned about &#8220;conspiracy theories,&#8221; as he calls them. And at one point in the hearing, Thorne elaborated on the term &#8220;conspiracy theories.&#8221; It turns out that — stop me if you&#8217;ve heard this one before — a conspiracy theory is something that&#8217;s completely true, but highly inconvenient for the political Left. That&#8217;s his response, when he&#8217;s asked about the race-swap in &#8220;Adolescence.&#8221; He&#8217;s asked about a conservative politician who pointed out that, unlike what you see on Netflix, white kids from stable households are not stabbing many people in the UK. That&#8217;s the truth. It&#8217;s kids from broken homes, along with jihadists, who are doing most of the damage. And in response to that point, which is obviously true, Thorne states that the conservative politician must be &#8220;consuming&#8221; the wrong content online. The implication, of course, is that anyone who tells the truth about knife crime in the UK — and violent crime in general — should be censored. You&#8217;re required to think that it&#8217;s young white kids from loving two-parent households that are knifing everyone, and you&#8217;re supposed to ignore the literal jihadist with an Al Qaeda training manual in his backpack who murders young girls at a dance studio.
Again, this is the state of the UK — a country that we once had a lot in common with. But this is what they&#8217;re reduced to. I want to show one more clip from this hearing, because it just kept getting more and more comical as it went on. Eventually Jack Thorne left, and he was replaced by a bunch of self-described &#8220;experts&#8221; and government officials who — supposedly — would provide some hard evidence in support of more online censorship. 
But then, a funny thing happened. 
When they were asked for evidence that misogyny is on the rise in the UK, they didn&#8217;t have any data. They couldn&#8217;t point to any objective, verifiable information about all the young white men who are going out and killing women because of Andrew Tate or whatever. Instead — and I&#8217;m not making this up — the experts turned around and cited the show &#8220;Adolescence,&#8221; and the testimony from Jack Thorne. Watch:

So they don&#8217;t have any data, actually. They just have the show &#8220;Adolescence,&#8221; and the testimony from its &#8220;executive producer.&#8221; According to the government expert, that qualifies as &#8220;evidence&#8221; in the UK. Time to pass a law eliminating free speech on the internet, I guess. But the point here is not to mock the UK, as entertaining as that would be. The point is that this kind of embarrassing spectacle is not very surprising for them. There aren’t very many people left in that country to speak out against it. There isn’t much of a &#8220;right wing&#8221; in the UK, or almost anywhere else in the western world outside of the United States.
And if you don&#8217;t believe that, look at the election that just <a href="https://barsoom.substack.com/p/post-mortem-for-the-canadian-election" target="_blank" rel="noopener">took place</a> in Canada. After ten years of destroying Canada&#8217;s economy and opening the borders to hordes of foreign nationals, the Liberal Party was just re-elected. Voters once again handed the Liberal Party control of government, even after the Liberals froze the bank accounts of peaceful protesters, arrested journalists in the street, trampled old ladies with horses, disarmed the entire population, and effectively banned independent journalists from posting their content on social media platforms. Canadians saw the government declare martial law over a bunch of truckers who didn&#8217;t want to be compelled to take an experimental shot, and they said, &#8220;we want more of that.&#8221; And also, of course, they want more taxes so that they can stop the weather from changing.
I&#8217;m not going to pretend to be an expert on the ins-and-outs of Canadian politics. If you&#8217;re interested in a more granular breakdown, there&#8217;s a Substack <a href="https://barsoom.substack.com/p/post-mortem-for-the-canadian-election" target="_blank" rel="noopener">article</a> from someone named John Carter that goes into some detail about what happened in this week&#8217;s election. Here&#8217;s how it begins.
<blockquote>Have you ever noticed how election results are regularly broken down geographically, as well by the demographic categories of age, sex, and – depending on the country – race, yet we almost never see the results separated into taxpayer vs tax-eater status? &#8230; It is absolutely no surprise that Ottawa voted solidly for the Liberal Party of Canada, whose base consists of three primary groups: migrants, public sector workers, and baby boomers, all of whom are regime client groups, and all of whom are tightly packed into the nation’s capital. Perhaps it’s that it’s tax season and I’m in a grumpy mood because I just got the bad news, but I can’t help but wonder about how electoral politics would change if only taxpayers were allowed to vote.</blockquote>
That&#8217;s a useful framework to look at what just happened in Canada, especially as you hear a lot of people blaming Donald Trump and tariffs and so on. In Canada, very few young people can afford homes. There aren&#8217;t many good jobs. The only really viable aspects of Canadian society are the public sector — which is sustained through taxes and borrowed money — and retirees. The public-sector employees are the ones who celebrated when truckers were beaten by the police in Ottawa a few years ago. They resent the working-class. Their only interest is seeing their pensions vest. Meanwhile, older Canadians have made their money, and they don&#8217;t seem to care about what happens to their country going forward.

It shows the &#8220;most important factors&#8221; in people&#8217;s votes, broken out by age. It&#8217;s from Abacus Data, which is a Canadian polling firm. Notice that, for most young people under the age of 44, &#8220;reducing the cost of living&#8221; is the top issue. But for Canadians over the age of 60, the top issue was &#8220;dealing with Donald Trump.&#8221;
In other words, Canadian seniors are not even pretending to be interested in the internal affairs of their own country. They&#8217;re not concerned about the fact that young people are overdosing at increasing rates, or that many of them are well into their 30s, sharing tiny apartments with roommates just to make ends meet. What they care about, instead, is &#8220;dealing with Donald Trump&#8221; — an elected official from a different country, who hasn&#8217;t caused a single ounce of the misery that Canada has been enduring for the past decade.
In this country, by contrast, older voters were mostly <a href="https://www.aarp.org/politics-society/government-elections/info-2024/election-analysis-older-voters.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">concerned</a> about the economy in the last election. In Michigan, for example, the AARP found that &#8220;24 percent of older voters cited the economy and jobs, and another 24 percent cited inflation, as top concerns.&#8221; So nearly half of these voters are interested in things that every American should be interested in — which is creating a stable and functioning economy so that people can buy homes and raise children.
But in Canada, as in the UK, the priorities are different. That&#8217;s why these countries are spending their time talking about Netflix shows, and electing globalists who promise to send mean tweets to Donald Trump or whatever.
It&#8217;s a sobering realization, but it&#8217;s true: These countries, which are supposed to be great allies who we have a lot in common with, do not have a functioning conservative movement at all. One that respects the sanctity of life from the moment of conception, one that values the importance of economic growth for everyone, and one that understands the distinction between fiction and reality. With every election that takes place in Canada, and every humiliating hearing on &#8220;Adolescence&#8221; that the UK is subjected to, the truth becomes clearer by the day. It&#8217;s time to admit it, because it&#8217;s unavoidable at this point: The future of conservatism, and thus of Western civilization, is in our hands — and our hands alone.

It’s hard to keep track of all the immigration cases that blew up once President Trump started securing our borders and enforcing U.S. immigration law only three months ago.
The latest <a href="https://www.documentcloud.org/documents/25897170-chnvparole041425/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">decision</a> by Massachusetts District Court judge Indira Talwani was an unjustified and baseless nationwide injunction blocking Trump’s decision last month to <a href="https://www.foxnews.com/politics/trump-admin-pulling-legal-status-more-than-530k-migrants" target="_blank" rel="noopener">end the parole status</a> for half a million Cuban, Haitian, Nicaraguan, and Venezuelan nationals.
Nationwide injunctions by federal judges are based on dubious authority and threaten the separation of powers doctrine in the Constitution – the checks and balances that hold this nation together. The sooner Congress and the Supreme Court implement and enforce clear limits on this, the better.
But it’s not just the sweeping executive power that Judge Talwani, an Obama appointee, asserts is the problem. It’s also the bewildering double-standard applied to the Biden and Trump administrations on immigration.
Americans want to believe that once appointed, judges do their best to follow the Constitution and the law. But it gets harder each time we see a ruling that stretches logic and law to reach a conclusion that aligns with politics. We’ve seen so many in the past few years, including the many “<a href="https://www.wsj.com/video/series/wonder-land-henninger/wsj-opinion-the-high-price-of-democrats-anti-trump-lawfare/04D0426F-2196-433D-B6FF-56BCA3688D79?mod=bizbuysell_trending_now_video_pos1" target="_blank" rel="noopener">lawfare</a>” cases brought against President Trump since his first term.
Let’s get our heads around immigration parole. Aliens who want to come to the U.S. need a visa. In exceptional cases, Congress provided a <a href="https://uscode.house.gov/view.xhtml?req=granuleid:USC-prelim-title8-section1182&amp;num=0&amp;edition=prelim" target="_blank" rel="noopener">limited power</a> for the executive (exercised by the President through his Secretary of Homeland Security) to parole aliens for limited periods. When that period ends, they go back to whatever status they had before.
In 1996, Congress tightened the rules, clarifying that parole could only be granted on a “case-by-case basis,” and strictly “for urgent humanitarian reasons” or a “significant public benefit.” Parole isn’t a path to permanent status.
Blatantly violating the clear limits set by Congress, Biden perverted parole to invent a slew of “McVisa” programs to benefit groups he liked and to bypass numerical caps.
Biden’s DHS started paroling illegal aliens caught at the border, arguing that they didn’t have room to detain them. This <a href="https://cis.org/Arthur/Federal-Judge-Vacates-Bidens-ParoleATD-Border-Release-Policy" target="_blank" rel="noopener">“Parole+ATD”</a> was shut down by a federal judge who <a href="https://legacy.myfloridalegal.com/webfiles.nsf/WF/GPEY-CPQPAB/%24file/final%20order.pdf" target="_blank" rel="noopener">found</a> the president didn’t have the authority to give illegal aliens a free pass into the country.
In August 2021, Biden invented Operation Allies Welcome to let in thousands of Afghans. In theory, these were supposed to be the ones who’d helped the U.S. and whose lives might be in danger under the Taliban, but in practice, many got in through fraud or had nothing to do with our efforts in their country. Some were even criminals and suspected terrorists.
Then in April 2022, Biden <a href="https://www.dhs.gov/ukraine" target="_blank" rel="noopener">began</a> a Uniting for Ukraine program to bring people in from that country, even though (a) you might wonder why the men weren’t home fighting Russia, and (b) why they could not have claimed asylum in neighboring European countries instead of the U.S.
In January 2023, Biden <a href="https://www.whitehouse.gov/briefing-room/statements-releases/2023/01/05/fact-sheet-biden-harris-administration-announces-new-border-enforcement-actions/">rolled out</a> a Cuban, Haitian, Nicaraguan, and Venezuelan Parole program allowing up to 30,000 nationals from those four countries per month to enter the U.S.
Then he added up to 1,400 appointments a day for nationals of any country to schedule their illegal entry into the U.S. using the <a href="https://cis.org/Arthur/Whats-Biden-Doing-Migrants-Ports-Entry">CBP One</a> phone app, as long as they claimed to be in Mexico. Nearly all of them ended up getting <a href="https://cis.org/Arthur/958-Percent-Illegal-Migrants-Who-Preschedule-Their-Illegal-Entries-Are-Allowed">paroled</a> once they showed up at a U.S. port of entry.
Finally, in June 2024, Biden tried but failed to give a de facto amnesty via parole to over a million illegal aliens who were married to American citizens. Who knows how far a “President Harris” could have continued with parole-a-palooza, had she won.
All told, Biden used bogus parole programs to bring in over 1.5 million inadmissible illegal aliens.
Even though the law specifically says a president can’t use parole to bypass the U.S. official refugee program, that was clearly the intent. The Biden administration expected them all to claim asylum and live here while their cases dragged on for years or decades. But not all of them bothered to make that claim, figuring parole would just be extended. Bad bet.
Trump revoked the CHNV parole – as was his rightful power as president – in March. What Biden did, even if it wasn’t right, Trump had the power to undo.
For Judge Talwani to now tell Trump he can’t revoke parole for 530,000 paroled CHNV nationals without a “case-by-case” review is rich indeed. Does she seriously think that every one of the 30,000 CHNV applicants Biden let in per month was examined and approved on a “case-by-case” basis? Sure, if we say every fan let into Yankee Stadium for a game has been admitted “case-by-case.” If it simply means ‘one-by-one’, then Secretary of Homeland Security Noem can certify that, and it will be just as true as it was when former Secretary Mayorkas did.
Federal immigration law is very clear that the president has wide discretion to deny or revoke visas and remove aliens on national security or discretionary grounds. He can do or undo parole as well.
Joe Biden violated the law when he provided mass parole to hundreds of thousands of illegal aliens. No judge should be able to stop a successor president from undoing the harm a prior president has done, particularly harm that was done by ignoring, twisting, and breaking the law.

The NYPD announced Tuesday that police have identified the person who was set on fire and burned to death in a subway train car last week.
The woman, Debrina Kawam, 61, had a Toms River, New Jersey address, police said.
She had a “brief stint in our homeless shelter system,” New York City Democratic Mayor Eric Adams <a href="https://apnews.com/article/new-york-subway-burning-woman-688e2ebd46f0eb8f5c9e3430cf2b4bd5" target="_blank" rel="noopener">said</a> Tuesday.
The mayor added that authorities have been in contact with her next of kin.
“Hearts go out to the family, a horrific incident to have to live through,” Adams said of the killing. “It impacts on how New Yorkers feel. But it really reinforces what I’ve been saying: People should not be living on our subway system, they should be in a place of care. No matter where she lived that should not have happened.”
On Sunday last week, Kawam was sleeping on a Brooklyn F train when she was set on fire by an illegal migrant. Horrifying footage of her burning alive while standing inside the subway car spread across social media last week.
Kawam reportedly had a walker and several bags nearby as she slept on the train around 7:30 a.m. at the Stillwell Avenue-Coney Island station at the end of the line. She had <a href="https://nypost.com/2024/12/31/us-news/mystery-woman-torched-to-death-in-horrific-nyc-subway-attack-finally-identified-by-cops-sources/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">reportedly</a> been living in city homeless shelters since September. She had a bed at the Franklin Williams Women’s Shelter in the Bronx for a few days at the beginning of December.
The city medical examiner <a href="https://nypost.com/2024/12/24/us-news/woman-torched-to-death-on-mta-train-allegedly-by-illegal-migrant-still-cannot-be-idd-three-days-after-horrifying-attack-due-to-severe-burns-sources/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">reportedly</a> had difficulty identifying the victim because the body was so severely burned.
An illegal migrant from Guatemala, Sebastian Zapeta, 33, was arrested and charged with first-degree murder and arson for allegedly setting her on fire. Video footage appears to show the culprit fanning the flames with his shirt, then sitting down to watch his victim burn alive.
Zapeta is being held at Rikers Island jail without bail.
He entered the country illegally in 2018 and was deported less than a week later, according to immigration authorities, but he eventually entered again and was living in a New York City shelter as of March 2023.
According to a fellow shelter resident, Zapeta was addicted to smoking the synthetic drug K2 and drank vodka heavily.
“He smoked K2, drank, and bugged out,” Raymond Robinson, who slept next to Zapeta at the Samaritan Village Forbell men’s shelter in Brooklyn, <a href="https://nypost.com/2024/12/24/us-news/sebastian-zapeta-calil-charged-in-womans-burning-death-on-nyc-subway-often-bugged-out-after-smoking-k2-shelter-roommate/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">told</a> the New York Post.
Police <a href="https://nypost.com/2024/12/24/us-news/sebastian-zapeta-calil-charged-in-womans-burning-death-on-nyc-subway-often-bugged-out-after-smoking-k2-shelter-roommate/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">said</a> Zapeta told them he had been drinking so much that he did not remember setting the woman on fire.
“This was a malicious deed. A sleeping, vulnerable woman on our subway system,” Brooklyn District Attorney Eric Gonzalez said when the indictment was announced against Zapeta.

California Governor Gavin Newsom is working on a potential plan to counteract the new Trump administration&#8217;s plans for mass deportations, an early idea of how blue states could try to hamstring federal authorities looking to remove illegal migrants.
The draft of the plan, called the “Immigrant Support Network Concept” suggests the “creation of an Immigrant Support Network comprised of regional ‘hubs’ to connect at-risk individuals, their families, and communities with community systems — such as legal services, schools, labor unions, local governments, etc,” Politico <a href="https://www.politico.com/news/2024/12/24/newsom-california-immigrants-trump-00195984" target="_blank" rel="noopener">reported</a>.
The plan remains general, and the draft cautions that it is not finalized yet.
Under the plan, the California Department of Social Services would be responsible for running the migrant support &#8220;hubs&#8221; and would give state funds to nonprofits. The department is still gauging interest in the program, according to the draft.
The amount of funding the plan would require is unclear, but the draft says funding would go towards “community outreach, partnership, legal services staffing positions, and approved administrative costs associated with hub operations.”
“The administration continues to collaborate with the Legislature to finalize a thoughtful special session funding proposal, which is on track to be signed into law before January 20, 2025,” department spokesperson Theresa Mier told the outlet.

“We can’t lose the faith of the American people,” he added.
Homan also said the U.S. is prepared to deport parents in the country illegally even if they have young U.S.-born children, allowing the families to decide whether to be deported together or split up and leave their children here.
“Here’s the issue,” Homan said. “You knew you were in the country illegally and chose to have a child. So you put your family in that position.”
Families will be detained in &#8220;soft-sided&#8221; tent structures by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) said Homan, who was acting ICE director during Trump’s first term.
Homan also said the new administration will need to build new family facilities, but how many beds they need will depend on what the data shows.

The new administration will also launch a separate effort to locate more than 300,000 children who came into the country unaccompanied and illegally and were <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/dhs-made-no-effort-to-locate-missing-unaccompanied-alien-children-auditor-says-in-urgent-alert" target="_blank" rel="noopener">released</a> to adult sponsors who stopped responding to government workers conducting welfare checks.
“I think some of these children will be in forced labor, and some will be in the sex trade,” he said. “I think some will be perfectly fine. We just want to make sure.”
He emphasized that families who enter the country illegally and reunite with their children can go through deportation proceedings together.
“I’m not saying take them into custody,” he said. “We’ll let them get the child and put them in proceedings with the child, so they can go to court and plead their case as a family.”

A majority of New Yorkers now support President-elect Donald Trump&#8217;s plan to conduct mass deportations of illegal migrants, a new poll shows.
Across the state, 54% of residents say New York should support Trump&#8217;s deportation policy, and only 35% said the state should oppose it, the Siena College <a href="https://scri.siena.edu/wp-content/uploads/2024/12/SNY1224-Crosstabs.pdf" target="_blank" rel="noopener">poll</a> <a href="https://nypost.com/2024/12/10/us-news/majority-of-new-yorkers-support-trumps-mass-deportation-plan-new-poll-shows/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">found</a>.
Nearly half of Latinos, 47%, support the plan, as do most white and black residents: 56% of white people and 51% of black people.
Even more eye-popping, a significant chunk of self-described liberals, nearly 30%, said they support the deportations.
The majority of people who live in the city, suburbs, and upstate areas are also supportive, the poll showed.
By political affiliation, 38% of Democrats and 87% of Republicans support the deportations. A majority of independents, 54%, also support the plan.
Along gender lines, men were more likely to be on board at 61%, but almost half of women, 49%, were also in favor of the deportations. Only 31% of men opposed them, compared to 38% of women.
The poll surveyed 834 registered voters between December 2 through 5. The margin of error is about four points.

More than 1,000 illegal migrants in New York City are likely gang members who are free to roam the streets, new federal data shows.
A total of 1,053 migrants in the Big Apple are “suspected or known gang members,” <a href="https://nypost.com/2024/11/30/us-news/nyc-is-now-home-to-over-58k-criminal-migrants-including-over-1000-gang-members-ice/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">according</a> to Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) data obtained by the New York Post.
The city is still groaning under an influx of <a href="https://www.nytimes.com/2024/11/25/nyregion/migrants-shelters-trump-nyc.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">more</a> than 223,000 illegal migrants over than past two years.
An eye-popping 759,218 people who crossed the border illegally were living in the city as of November 17, according to federal authorities.
Of those migrants, 58,626 have been convicted of crimes or had criminal charges pending, ICE data shows.

&#8220;We have 39 members of TDA that have been identified and we have an additional four members that have been identified of a subgroup called Little Devils of 42nd Street. Those are much younger kids,&#8221; NYPD Chief of Detectives Joseph Kenny <a href="https://www.cbsnews.com/newyork/news/venezuelan-gangs-tren-de-aragua-new-york-city-migrants-asylum-seekers/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">said</a>.
Migrants have also made headlines for attacking police officers.
Earlier this month, two migrants, one with a loaded AR-15, scuffled with police and were <a href="https://www.foxnews.com/us/migrants-armed-loaded-ar-15-attack-police-deep-blue-city-released" target="_blank" rel="noopener">arrested</a>. One was released without bail, and the other was sent to Rikers Island on a $25,000 bond, which he posted.

Over 1,000 Suspected Migrant Gang Members Roaming NYC, ICE Says

An astonishing report details how the Biden administration <a href="https://nypost.com/2024/11/22/us-news/feds-blew-267m-on-misinformation-grants-under-biden-much-on-covid-report-finds-as-trump-vows-to-ban-term/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">spent $267 million</a> since 2021 on research grants whose proposals mentioned “misinformation.”
The report was issued by OpenTheBooks, a nonprofit organization founded in 2011 as a transparency group. Ironically, in 2006, then-Senator Barack Obama <a href="https://www.fsrs.gov/#:~:text=The%20Federal%20Funding%20Accountability%20and,wasteful%20spending%20in%20the%20government.">co-sponsored</a> the Federal Funding Accountability and Transparency Act of 2006, which permitted public access to federal spending. Senator Tom Coburn (R-OK) also co-sponsored the bill, later serving as the honorary chairman of OpenTheBooks before his <a href="https://www.openthebooks.com/in-loving-memory-of-open-the-books-honorary-chairman-dr-tom-coburn/">passing</a> in 2020.
Of the $267 million, “The feds have spent at least $127 million in grants specifically targeted to study the spread of “misinformation” &#8212; or to help people ‘overcome’ it, so to speak &#8212; by persuading them to go along with Covid-related public health recommendations and mandates,” the <a href="https://openthebooks.substack.com/p/taxpayer-funded-censorship-how-government" target="_blank" rel="noopener">report</a> states.
Further, a methodology note in the report states, “This likely does not cover all grants given to combat misinformation, because transaction descriptions may not include this keyword, but the trend in spending illustrates a sudden explosion of interest in misinformation starting in 2021.” The report adds that the Department of Health and Human Services issued grants totaling $185 million, the National Science Foundation total was $65 million, and the Stated Department $12 million.

Last month, a <a href="https://d1dth6e84htgma.cloudfront.net/We_Can_Do_This_NIH_PR_Campaign_Report_PUBLIC_82616d81eb.pdf" target="_blank" rel="noopener">report</a> from the House Committee on Energy &amp; Commerce’s Subcommittee on Oversight and Investigations noted that in August 2020, the Department of Health and Human Services initiated the “We Can Do This” campaign — a campaign that ultimately cost more than $900 million — which was meant to affect the public’s response to the COVID pandemic. “The Campaign came to serve as a critical vehicle for disseminating the Biden-Harris administration’s messaging on mask usage, social distancing, vaccine effectiveness, the risks COVID-19 posed to children, and how to reopen schools, businesses, and civil society,” the report stated.
“It appears the administration most concerned with ‘misinformation’ itself trafficked in misinformation: on masks, on risks to children, on social distancing, and on the need to vaccinate even infants,” the OpenTheBooks report asserted.
In December 2022, then-former President Donald Trump <a href="https://nypost.com/2022/12/15/trump-vows-to-ban-feds-from-id-ing-domestic-misinformation-if-elected/">stated</a> he would &#8220;prohibit federal policing of lawful domestic speech&#8221; upon becoming the 47th president: “Within hours of my inauguration, I will sign an executive order banning any federal department or agency from colluding with any organization, business, or person, to censor, limit, categorize, or impede the lawful speech of American citizens. I will then ban federal money from being used to label domestic speech as ‘mis’- or dis-information.’ And I will begin the process of identifying and firing every federal bureaucrat who has engaged in domestic censorship — directly or indirectly — whether they are the Department of Homeland Security, the Department of Health and Human Services, the FBI, the DOJ, no matter who they are.”

When Conservative Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson came into office two years ago, he promised to do something about the country&#8217;s immigration problem and its exploding gang problem, which was caused by the migrants. One of the many lies you&#8217;ll often hear about multiculturalism is that it&#8217;s an ideology of tolerance. We&#8217;re a melting pot. Diversity is our strength. We&#8217;re stronger together. And so on.
No one really believes any of that, least of all the proponents of multiculturalism. In reality, as Thomas Sowell has pointed out, multiculturalism is an ideology that tolerates every culture except one, which is Western culture. When it comes to Western culture, no level of hatred or self-loathing is beyond the pale. Anyone who belongs to this disfavored culture must apologize repeatedly for his own existence. He must grovel at every opportunity on account of his skin color and ethnicity. And ultimately he must turn on his own family, and sacrifice them at the altar of multiculturalism.
That&#8217;s exactly what happened on Tuesday, at a city commission meeting in the town of Springfield, Ohio. In the past few days, Springfield has found itself in the center of a national political firestorm after several residents reported that animals are being sacrificed, and in some cases eaten, by the tens of thousands of Haitian nationals that have flooded into town in the past four years. And despite what ABC News says, there is clear merit to these claims. The Daily Wire is on the ground in Springfield, where we&#8217;ve found evidence that the heads and carcasses of slaughtered pigs are being left out in public.
As disturbing as this is, all of the talk about animals obscures a more important point, which is that human beings are being killed as well. One of them, as I mentioned earlier this week, was an 11-year-old boy named Aiden Clark. He was killed &#8212; and more than a dozen other students were seriously injured &#8212; last year by a Haitian national who crossed the center line and crashed into a school bus on the first day of school. This Haitian national was on the roads illegally. His driver&#8217;s license was from Mexico.

Before I go any further, I&#8217;ll say this: Losing a child is the single worst thing that can happen to a person. It’s the greatest pain a human being can experience. That’s why, as a father, I almost never criticize people who have gone through something like that. I don’t criticize them for how they grieve. I don’t criticize them for what they say in the aftermath. It’s a horror so unthinkable that there just is no way to know how a person will react.
But after these remarks, unfortunately, I feel compelled to say something because, for one thing, the man is slandering people — people like myself — who have spoken up for his son. He is attributing false motives to us. He&#8217;s labeling us racists and &#8220;hateful&#8221; and so on. He&#8217;s also claiming that no one &#8212; including politicians &#8212; has the right to even mention his son&#8217;s name.
None of this is true. And we have a right to correct the record, especially since this man is now using his son’s death to make a political statement. It’s a false statement. It&#8217;s a harmful statement. So we need to speak up because this is a matter of national importance.
I&#8217;m going to repeat what the father of Aiden Clark said. “I wish that my son, Aiden Clark, was killed by a 60-year-old white man.&#8221; That was the line he wrote down, prepared, and then delivered. He didn&#8217;t say that he wished his son was never killed, Instead, he said that he wished someone else had killed his son, so that other people wouldn&#8217;t draw any unapproved conclusions.
His comments only go to show that white guilt is a sickness &#8212; an infection that has burrowed deep inside this man’s mind and soul. So deep that even the death of a child did not shake him free of it. I cannot comprehend how a thought like this even enters your head. A man kills your child and your wish is that a man of a different race had killed him? How does that thought occur to you? I would expect that you&#8217;d wish that a Haitian immigrant hadn&#8217;t killed your son because you wish nobody had. But to wish that someone else had killed him is incomprehensibly deranged.
His implication, if you want to be as charitable as possible, is that the tens of thousands of Haitians who have moved into Springfield are safe drivers. They&#8217;re just as safe as the American citizens who have been living there for generations, supposedly. But everyone living in Springfield knows that&#8217;s not true. The journalist Taylor Hansen is in Springfield. He just reported, &#8220;Every resident I’ve talked to is scared of driving, and they are dealing with increased insurance rates due to unlicensed and uninsured Haitian drivers causing multiple accidents on a daily basis. There’s no punishment taking place for Haitians driving without insurance, but if an American citizen does it they can have their license suspended.&#8221;

So this is what&#8217;s happening in Springfield. It&#8217;s all predictable. When you increase the size of a town by one-third &#8212; and all of the new arrivals are from a dysfunctional hellhole like Haiti &#8212; you&#8217;re going to get a lot of bad drivers who don&#8217;t obey the rules of the road. That&#8217;s common sense. And some of those bad drivers are going to kill children on their way to school.
It&#8217;s understandable that Aiden Clark&#8217;s father is angry. But his anger is directed at the only people who have expressed any concern over his son’s death. He attacks the only people who actually care that his son is dead. It seems to me that, after suffering such a tragedy, most of your anger would be reserved for the man who actually killed your son. The rest of the anger should be directed at the politicians who let that guy into the country. If he hadn’t been allowed in, if your immigration system was functional, if our borders were enforced, his son would be alive. The terrible racist Right-wingers he hates so much? Guess what: if we had our way, his son would be alive. But we&#8217;re the problem in his mind.

And it&#8217;s not just this father who thinks like this. I watched some more of this Springfield City commission meeting. The whole thing resembled a struggle session, where no one felt they could speak their minds. They all had to affirm the virtues of multiculturalism. For example, you might remember this woman who spoke a few days ago about her experiences in Springfield. This clip went viral at the time for obvious reasons. Here&#8217;s some of it:

She&#8217;s understandably frustrated. She&#8217;s clearly telling the truth about her firsthand experiences. And yet here was that same woman on Tuesday:

So now, after her comments generate outrage &#8212; appropriate, justified outrage &#8212; she&#8217;s backtracking. Now that they make Democrats and the ideology of multiculturalism look bad, she&#8217;s apologetic. She doesn&#8217;t say she lied before. She just recognizes now that what she said was inconvenient for the ideology she&#8217;s required to hold, if she wants to stay in the good graces of her community.
Again, the whole council meeting went like this. One speaker after another affirmed the values of &#8220;diversity.&#8221; Here&#8217;s another:

It&#8217;s like watching someone with Stockholm Syndrome. She knows the huge influx of Haitians has caused problems for Springfield. She heard all the residents saying so, just a few days ago. But then she implies that there&#8217;s no use complaining about it because no one&#8217;s ever going to remove all of these people. No one in power is going to send these foreign nationals back where they came from. So she might as well smile, and hold back tears, as she pretends that &#8220;diversity&#8221; is strengthening Springfield.
This is the essence of multiculturalism, as it&#8217;s being applied in the United States. It is not an ideology of tolerance or empowerment. It&#8217;s an ideology with one goal, which is the destruction of Western culture. And if this city meeting in Springfield on Tuesday is any indication, a lot of American citizens &#8212; even those who have suffered unimaginable horrors as a result of &#8220;multiculturalism&#8221;&#8211; are perfectly fine with that.

A hotel in downtown <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/texas" target="_blank" rel="noopener">El Paso</a> that is allegedly occupied by a Venezuelan gang was ordered temporarily shut down by a state judge on Monday.
The judge&#8217;s order came after the Gateway Hotel and its owner <a href="https://kfoxtv.com/news/local/el-pasos-gateway-hotel-faces-legal-action-over-alleged-gang-activity-safety-violations" target="_blank" rel="noopener">received</a> a temporary injunction and restraining order from the El Paso County attorney on Monday over suspicions that the Venezuelan &#8220;Tren De Aragua&#8221; gang was engaging in criminal activity inside the hotel.
Tren de Aragua made national headlines a few weeks ago after gang members allegedly commandeered an apartment complex in Aurora, Colorado. Police there have <a href="https://www.elpasotimes.com/story/news/nation/2024/09/03/aurora-colorado-apartment-gang-police/75013215007/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">denied</a> the gang controls the complex.
Court documents say that police reports show the Gateway Hotel in El Paso has regular criminal activity, and members of Tren De Aragua have been allowed to operate inside, according to sworn testimony from El Paso police officers.
One officer said police witnessed several Venezuelan men with tattoos associated with the gang walking around the hotel. Hotel management was not attempting to control the conduct of guests, the officer said.
At least 693 calls to police have been made about the hotel over the last two years, including for drugs, thefts, burglaries, and fights.

The court documents also accuse the hotel of operating for the past six years without a valid certificate of occupancy and in violation of city requirements, as well as failing at least three inspections by the El Paso Fire Department since July.
Security videos and pictures from the court documents also show people &#8220;partying&#8221; on the third floor, drinking, smoking, dancing provocatively, and one woman even apparently vomiting in a hallway with children around.
One video also shows a gun being shot, a person threatening someone with another gun, men holding knives, and a man with a hatchet assaulting people in front of a security guard.
One police officer said he suspected prostitution in the hotel. Police also described trash and fire hazards as well and said the general reputation of the hotel was for &#8220;allowing illegal activity (consuming drugs, gang activity, illegal dumping).&#8221;
A hearing is scheduled for December 9 to determine if hotel owner Howard Yun allowed criminal activity on the property.
The county attorney&#8217;s office sued the hotel last month and is seeking a permanent injunction to stop the hotel from operating until long-term solutions are in place.
The Gateway Hotel has been in downtown El Paso since the 1920s, although it has changed ownership.
The occupants of the hotel have until 10 a.m. on Thursday to vacate the building. It is unclear whether law enforcement will be required to evict those living in the hotel.

In early 2018, senators from both parties met with Donald Trump inside the White House. They were there to discuss the visa lottery system, which is a program that allocates visas to people from countries with &#8220;historically low&#8221; rates of immigration to the United States.
This is one of many government programs that&#8217;s existed for decades without anyone in power asking why it exists &#8212; even though a visa lottery like this makes no sense whatsoever. The only criterion we should have when deciding who gets to enter the United States is whether admitting those people would make the United States a better country. Whether or not their country is &#8220;underrepresented&#8221; in the United States should have no bearing on whether a potential migrant is awarded a visa. As simple and obvious as this point may be, you rarely hear anyone say it. Certainly, you don&#8217;t hear presidents say it.
But in his meeting with the senators, Donald Trump pointed out the problem right away. Trump specifically wanted to know why we were awarding visas to people from Haiti, one of the poorest and most dysfunctional countries in the entire world. (Depending on who you ask, Trump used slightly more colorful language than that.)
You probably remember the outrage that followed. There was an outrage cycle that lasted more than two weeks. Haiti&#8217;s government said Trump&#8217;s comments were &#8220;abhorrent.&#8221; The United Nations human rights office <a href="https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/white-house/trump-referred-haiti-african-countries-shithole-nations-n836946" target="_blank" rel="noopener" data-saferedirecturl="https://www.google.com/url?q=https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/white-house/trump-referred-haiti-african-countries-shithole-nations-n836946&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1725993057955000&amp;usg=AOvVaw1V6ClX0_1_EnAnVUv88R3Z">said</a> Donald Trump had &#8220;damaged&#8221; and &#8220;disrupted&#8221; the lives of &#8220;many people.&#8221; Conan O&#8217;Brien <a href="https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/tv/tv-news/conan-shines-spotlight-haiti-trumps-inflammatory-immigration-remarks-1078606/" target="_blank" rel="noopener" data-saferedirecturl="https://www.google.com/url?q=https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/tv/tv-news/conan-shines-spotlight-haiti-trumps-inflammatory-immigration-remarks-1078606/&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1725993057955000&amp;usg=AOvVaw2qL5vknmJwoBOfnRo5-aMO">started</a> filming his show in Haiti, during which he repeatedly blamed Haiti&#8217;s collapse on the United States. “The Haitians have been dealt the worst hand in the Western Hemisphere,&#8221; he said, implying that we owe them housing and healthcare as a result.

But none of the outrage addressed Trump&#8217;s fundamental question. At no point did anyone in the press, or the Democrat Party, explain why we need to admit more Haitians into the United States. No one addressed Trump&#8217;s concern, which is that giving Haitians visas &#8212; simply because they come from Haiti, and for no other reason &#8212; would dramatically lower the quality of life for American citizens.
As a result, two years after the manufactured outrage over Trump&#8217;s comments, lives have indeed been &#8220;damaged&#8221; and &#8220;disrupted,&#8221; as the United Nations put it. But those lives are not in Haiti. They&#8217;re in places like Springfield, Ohio, which were overrun with Haitians overnight. That is not hysteria. It&#8217;s clearly happening. This is a report from NPR &#8212; maybe the most Democrat-aligned media outlet in existence. But even NPR can&#8217;t spin the situation in Springfield.
&#8220;Around 2020, things in this town took an unexpected turn. Thousands of Haitian migrants, fleeing violence and poverty, landed in Springfield. Locals say it felt like it happened overnight,&#8221; NPR <a href="https://www.npr.org/2024/08/12/nx-s1-5055784/immigration-vance-trump-migration-president-migrants-election-ohio#:~:text=In%20a%20presidential%20race%20where,many%20of%20them%20from%20Haiti." target="_blank" rel="noopener">wrote</a>. &#8220;On Sunday afternoons, you could suddenly hear Creole mass wafting through downtown streets. Haitian restaurants started popping up. &#8230; The town of around 60,000 has received some 15,000-20,000 migrants in the last four years, many of them from Haiti.&#8221;
I&#8217;ll say that again. A town of 60,000 people has received roughly 20,000 &#8220;migrants&#8221; in just the last four years. That&#8217;s a third of their population being added. This is a town that already had a poverty rate of more than twice the national average before the Haitians started moving in. This would be unsustainable even if Springfield were recruiting highly qualified, skilled immigrants. You can&#8217;t just massively increase your population very quickly without breaking things.
And things are indeed breaking in Springfield. Take a look at this data, from the FBI&#8217;s &#8220;Crime Data Explorer.&#8221; The blue line tracks the number of crimes reported in Springfield, Ohio.

Notice how it&#8217;s pretty steady from 2012 to 2020. And then all of a sudden, the number of reported crimes surges. In fact, it more than doubles beginning in 2020, when this surge of migrants from Haiti arrives. One of those crimes was <a href="https://www.springfieldnewssun.com/news/guilty-verdicts-reached-in-trial-of-minivan-driver-accused-in-fatal-school-bus-crash/EGZUKHYWBNEPXGCUXRKU2TRRXI/" target="_blank" rel="noopener" data-saferedirecturl="https://www.google.com/url?q=https://www.springfieldnewssun.com/news/guilty-verdicts-reached-in-trial-of-minivan-driver-accused-in-fatal-school-bus-crash/EGZUKHYWBNEPXGCUXRKU2TRRXI/&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1725993057955000&amp;usg=AOvVaw1BNGbaNNTzax21fLeIKnrD">committed</a> last August by Hermanio Joseph, a Haitian migrant who drove his minivan into a <a href="https://i.dailymail.co.uk/1s/2024/09/03/20/89240425-13808817-image-a-139_1725391475576.jpg" target="_blank" rel="noopener">school bus</a>, killing an 11-year-old child who was ejected from the bus.
The driver apparently had a &#8220;Mexican driver’s license and Ohio ID card, but no Ohio driver’s license.&#8221; Obviously, he shouldn&#8217;t have been in this country, much less driving on the road. But he was here. And for killing a child, he was only sentenced to about ten years in prison. These kinds of stories are now commonplace in Springfield.
Meanwhile, social services have been overwhelmed. The Daily Mail <a href="https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-13808817/Springfield-Ohio-Haitian-immigration-population-surge.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">reported</a>, &#8220;At the community health clinic, Haitian patients rose from 115 to 1,500 between 2021 and 2023, overwhelming services  Rocking Horse Community Health Center chief medical officer Yamini Teegala said language barriers meant a 15-minute consult took up to 45 minutes. &#8216;We lost productivity. We had a huge burnout of staff,&#8217; she [said]. &#8230; The clinic hired six Haitian Creole translators, but its translation budget blew out from $43,000 in 2020 to $436,000, which Teegala said was unsustainable.&#8221;
Even with all this spending, Haitians are still terrorizing locals in Springfield. Here&#8217;s one woman at a city council meeting explaining that the town&#8217;s no longer safe for her to live in:

You can understand her exasperation. Springfield didn&#8217;t vote for this. It&#8217;s one of the most pro-Trump areas in the entire country. But no one can escape the consequences of mass migration. That&#8217;s the whole point of it. The Biden-Harris administration looks at this, and they see a success story. There is no outrage among the Left as communities like this are destroyed. They don&#8217;t care even as American citizens &#8212; including children &#8212; are killed.
In fact, it&#8217;s not just human beings who are being murdered as a result of this migrant surge. In Springfield, there are now reports on social media that Haitians are eating people&#8217;s cats. Residents at city council meetings are also complaining that Haitians are eating ducks on the side of the road. This is from just a week ago. Watch:

The man goes on to note that there are plenty of police in Springfield. It&#8217;s easy to get a traffic ticket. But apparently, it&#8217;s not easy to round up and deport the Haitians who are eating animals and crashing their cars into children. That&#8217;s not the government&#8217;s priority. He theorizes in that clip that maybe the government&#8217;s being paid off by somebody. That&#8217;s all he can think of.
But that doesn&#8217;t have to be the explanation. The Biden administration has a clear political motivation to import as many third-world aliens as possible because eventually, they&#8217;ll vote. And some local politicians in Springfield &#8212; which was devastated economically after the auto industry moved overseas &#8212; thought that more migrants would help the economy. And now here we are. Instead of helping the economy, the migrants are eating animals in public.
As unsettling as all of this is, you have to wonder whether this will be the thing that finally awakens people on the Left to the problem of rampant immigration. They don&#8217;t seem to care much when immigrants kill human beings. That doesn&#8217;t bother them in the slightest. But maybe they&#8217;ll care about the ducks and chickens and cats that are meeting an untimely demise. Presumably, the vegans will be rising up any day now. One wonders what the childless cat ladies will say when their cats end up in a Haitian’s crock pot — or whatever they use to cook them. After all, this isn&#8217;t just happening in Springfield, Ohio. It&#8217;s happening everywhere that illegal migrants are being imported.
That&#8217;s why there&#8217;s a similar crisis unfolding in Queens, New York, which is the borough that&#8217;s taking the brunt of the illegal migrant surge in the city. 70 of New York&#8217;s 193 taxpayer-funded migrant shelters are located in Queens, and hundreds of thousands of illegals have arrived in the city in the last two years. As councilman Robert Holden put it: &#8220;We&#8217;re getting dumped on here. How long can we sustain this? These shelters add nothing to the neighborhood. They only bring crime.&#8221;
Some of that crime involves eating animals, apparently. The New York Post <a href="https://nypost.com/2024/09/07/us-news/animal-sacrifices-on-the-rise-in-queens-its-open-season/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">reported</a>, &#8220;Animal sacrifices are surging in Queens, with chickens, pigs and rats being tortured, mutilated or killed in &#8216;twisted&#8217; religious rituals in parkland surrounding Jamaica Bay &#8230; In a little over a month, at least nine wounded animals or carcasses have been discovered in the federally-managed Spring Creek Park in Howard Beach and the Jamaica Bay Wildlife Refuge in Broad Channel — including five live pigs with partially severed ears. Creatures recovered from the revolting scene also include a near-dead baby rat tied up in a bag with chicken bones; a freshly-decapitated chicken head; a live hen in distress; and a dead dog with its neck snapped.&#8221;
This is being linked not to Haitians, but to &#8220;Hindu devotees who worship the goddess Kali.&#8221; Then there&#8217;s this quote, from Sloane Quealy, who runs Zion&#8217;s Mission Animal Rescue. “It’s continually getting worse. The animal sacrifices are happening more repeatedly, more times a week. The sacrificers know it’s open season.”
Yes, the &#8220;sacrificers&#8221; know it&#8217;s open season. And of course, those &#8220;sacrificers&#8221; typically have something in common, which is that they didn&#8217;t come from the United States. These episodes are yet more evidence of a simple truism: import the third world, become the third world. Culture matters. When you allow a flood of third-world people, you end up with an increasingly third-world culture. Anyone who has ever been to a third-world country knows that this is not an improvement. You get fight clubs on the streets. You get garbage all over the place and loud music playing around the clock. Watch:

He&#8217;s lived there for more than 30 years, and he&#8217;s &#8220;never seen anything like it.&#8221; But it&#8217;s happening now. Some of this may be because of the visa lottery, which allows people like this into the country illegally. A lot of it is because of asylum fraud or &#8220;temporary protected status&#8221; and so on. But the debate over whether these migrants are &#8220;illegal&#8221; or not isn&#8217;t really the main issue here.
That&#8217;s because, as hard as it may be for either party to admit, illegal immigration is not the only problem. Unchecked immigration of any kind &#8212; illegal or legal &#8212; creates the same problems in this country. We do not erase the downside of importing many thousands of Haitians every year just by importing them &#8220;legally.&#8221; The immigrants that are reportedly conducting blood sacrifices on the streets do not suddenly become acceptable because we give them a visa. The key point is that we do not want America to be like these places. We don&#8217;t want America to become like Haiti or any third-world country. Whether it becomes like Haiti or any similar place illegally or legally is basically irrelevant. If places like Springfield and Queens are ever going to become habitable again, the people running the government have to admit that. And then they have no choice but to get these people out of the country as quickly as possible.
