Fox News White House correspondent Peter Doocy got a strange look from President Donald Trump — and a chuckle from Vice President JD Vance — when he asked the president point blank about the rumors of his death that had circulated over the weekend.
During an Oval Office event on Tuesday afternoon, Doocy pressed Trump to reveal when and how he&#8217;d come to find out that he&#8217;d died over the weekend.

&#8220;How did you find out over the weekend that you were dead?&#8221; Doocy asked, prompting a quick sideways glance from the president, but no other change in his expression. Vance, standing behind Trump and to his left, was clearly amused by the question.
&#8220;Did you see that?&#8221; Doocy pressed on as Trump said he hadn&#8217;t. &#8220;People didn&#8217;t see you for a couple of days, 1.3 million user engagements as of Saturday morning about your demise.&#8221;
Vance shook his head, still smiling, and only then did Trump&#8217;s eyebrows raise: &#8220;Really? I didn&#8217;t see that. You know, I have heard — it&#8217;s sort of crazy, but last week I did numerous news conferences, all successful, they went very well like this is going very well. And then I didn&#8217;t do any for two days and they said, &#8216;There must be something wrong with him.'&#8221;
Trump then pivoted to compare his busy schedule to that of his predecessor, former President Joe Biden, who routinely went weeks without speaking directly to the press.
&#8220;Biden didn&#8217;t do &#8217;em for MONTHS!&#8221; he exclaimed, prompting laughs around the room as he continued, &#8220;You wouldn&#8217;t see him! And nobody ever said there was ever anything wrong with him! And we know he wasn&#8217;t in the greatest of shape.&#8221;

President Donald Trump trashed ABC News in a Sunday post on his Truth Social platform, criticizing the network specifically for giving air time to former Democratic National Committee Chairwoman Donna Brazile.
Trump referenced the recent lawsuit against ABC News and Democrat strategist-turned-anchor George Stephanopoulos — which he won, to the tune of $16,000,000 — and suggested that Brazile&#8217;s coverage might leave the network vulnerable to another similar lawsuit.

Trump&#8217;s post came within hours of Brazile&#8217;s appearance on Sunday morning&#8217;s broadcast of &#8220;This Week,&#8221; where she had criticized Trump&#8217;s tariff plan and claimed that it had &#8220;created a level of uncertainty that the American people can’t afford.&#8221;
She also lashed out at the president for rescinding Secret Service protection for former Vice President Kamala Harris — a privilege that former President Joe Biden had extended her in his final days as president — and claimed that Trump was only stripping her security detail because he was &#8220;petty&#8221; and &#8220;vindictive.&#8221;

Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX) faced a wave of backlash over her speech pattern and mannerisms in a recent video — mannerisms that prompted at least one critic to respond by declaring, &#8220;Her code-switch is broken.&#8221;

A former Biden aide expressed her &#8220;concern&#8221; on Monday after President Donald Trump did not appear publicly for several days, sparking rumors across social media that he was unwell or even dead.
Meghan Hays, who served as a special assistant to former President Joe Biden, said that Trump&#8217;s absence from the public eye coupled with a series of posts on his Truth Social platform was proof that the White House was not being &#8220;transparent&#8221; about whether or not the president was in good health.

Hays appeared on Monday&#8217;s broadcast of &#8220;The Lead&#8221; on CNN, where she told host Phil Mattingly that Trump&#8217;s behavior was &#8220;disconcerting&#8221; and &#8220;concerning&#8221; — despite the fact that she herself had worked in a White House that had actively hidden Biden from both the press and the public.
&#8220;I don&#8217;t know, I think that everyone would like to know. I think that it’s really disconcerting,&#8221; she said of Trump&#8217;s weekend spent firing off a few social media posts but otherwise staying away from the press and the public. &#8220;The president has been very vocal with press all the time. I think in August, he spent 26 days doing public events or talking to press. So to go down for 6 days and just have a slew of Truth Social posts that are very chaotic and people can’t follow all of them — it’s very concerning, and I think that people — it could be raising questions.&#8221;
&#8220;The president could just be taking a few days down in August — which is normal for presidents to do. Or there could be actually something wrong. The problem is we don’t know. And they’re not being transparent about it,&#8221; she argued.
Mattingly reeled the segment back in, saying that he wasn&#8217;t &#8220;totally opposed&#8221; to Trump &#8220;going dark for a couple of days,&#8221; especially since, as Hays had noted, he had been going nonstop for the entire month of August.
The rumors of President Trump&#8217;s health were put to rest on Tuesday when the president spoke live at the White House about the new location for Space Command headquarters &#8212; Huntsville, Alabama.

Chicago Alderman Raymond Lopez (D-15th Ward) lashed out at Mayor Brandon Johnson (D-Chicago) and Governor JB Pritzker (D-IL) during a recent appearance on NewsNation, saying that their insistence on engaging in a political battle with President Donald Trump over crime was sending a message to the people that the victims did not matter.
Lopez pressed Johnson and Pritzker to instead work with President Trump and get any help he might offer in order to make the streets of Chicago safer for the people who live there.

&#8220;I hear the governor talking about an &#8216;invasion,&#8217; an &#8216;insurrection,&#8217; I hear the mayor writing useless orders against the federal government,&#8221; he added. &#8220;But what no one is talking about is, if our crime stats are decreasing, why can&#8217;t we push with Donald Trump&#8217;s help and decrease them even more? How many victims are we comfortable with? Because that&#8217;s ultimately the subtext of what the mayor and the governor are saying is that we are comfortable with the amount of victims we have right now. We don&#8217;t need to improve on our numbers any further than that.&#8221;
Pritzker, just as Lopez suggested, had touted the progress made in Illinois as recently as Sunday morning during an appearance on CBS News&#8217; &#8220;Face the Nation.&#8221;

“Profound, a company helping brands monitor and influence their presence in AI search engines, has analyzed 30 million citations across ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, and Perplexity from August 2024 to June 2025,” CyberNews <a href="https://cybernews.com/news/chatgpt-wikipedia-google-reddit/?utm_source=chatgpt.com">reported</a> in June. “OpenAI’s ChatGPT shows a clear preference for Wikipedia, which accounts for nearly half (47.9%) of its top citations within its top 10 most-cited sources.”
“Multiple studies and reports have highlighted efforts to manipulate information on the Wikipedia platform for propaganda aimed at Western audiences,” The Committee on Oversight and Government Reform wrote in a <a href="https://oversight.house.gov/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/082725-letter-to-Wikimedia.pdf">letter</a> to Maryana Iskander, the CEO of the Wikipedia Foundation.  “One recent report raised troubling questions about potentially systematic efforts to advance antisemitic and anti-Israel information in Wikipedia articles related to conflicts with the State of Israel. A second investigation detailed actions by hostile nation-state actors to expose Western audiences to pro-Kremlin and anti-Western messaging by manipulating Wikipedia articles and other news outlets relied on for training AI chatbots.”
A comprehensive October 2024 <a href="https://www.piratewires.com/p/how-wikipedia-s-pro-hamas-editors-hijacked-the-israel-palestine-narrative">report</a> delineated how pro-Hamas editors at Wikipedia were promoting pro-Palestinian propaganda, erasing vital information about Hamas, and biasing the narrative against Israel. An April 2025 <a href="https://www.atlanticcouncil.org/blogs/new-atlanticist/exposing-pravda-how-pro-kremlin-forces-are-poisoning-ai-models-and-rewriting-wikipedia/">report</a> titled, “Exposing Pravda: How pro-Kremlin forces are poisoning AI models and rewriting Wikipedia,” showed how pro-Kremlin, anti-Western propaganda was being pushed on the site.
Larry Sanger, co-founder of Wikipedia, <a href="https://jewishwebsite.com/featured/house-panel-probing-organized-efforts-to-distort-wikipedia-including-entries-on-israel/107583/">expressed his gratitude</a> that the Committee was launching an investigation, saying, “I am glad that Congress is investigating the use of foreign and U.S. government funds to pay for biased editing on Wikipedia. &#8230; There is clearly massive support for this sort of investigation.”
Sanger said Wikipedia “makes broad editorial decisions about what constitutes reliable sources, which must be respected by large numbers of participants. &#8230; The Wikipedia Foundation could address the situation but does not.”  He noted that the Wikipedia Foundation also “refuses to reveal the identity of its most powerful editors or to override decisions by editors.”

Governor Wes Moore (D-MD) joined host Martha Raddatz on ABC&#8217;s &#8220;This Week,&#8221; and he began by blaming Trump for the animosity between them and claiming that he would &#8220;love&#8221; help from the Trump administration to clean up his city.

Moore continued to buck Trump&#8217;s suggestion that the National Guard ought to play a role, arguing that the military should not be utilized in that fashion. Trump has argued that since their deployment in Washington, D.C., has been quite effective, the same should be done in other major cities with similar crime problems.

Pritzker went on to chastise Trump for pointing out the violent crime rampant in Chicago, claiming instead that the biggest crime problems were in red states. The Illinois Governor — who has also been rumored to have presidential aspirations — then claimed that shootings were also &#8220;down significantly&#8221; in Chicago before he pivoted to push for even more gun control.
&#8220;I very much believe that people who have a right to own a gun should be able to go get one, but that you&#8217;ve got to have universal background checks. You&#8217;ve got to make sure that you&#8217;re not selling guns that give someone the ability to commit a mass attack, in a school or anywhere else,&#8221; he said.

White House Deputy Assistant Sebastian Gorka got into a heated spat with CNN anchor Brianna Keilar on Sunday&#8217;s broadcast of &#8220;State of the Union,&#8221; telling her that he did not trust her network to provide accurate information.
The two were discussing the tragic school shooting that took place at Annunciation Catholic School in Minneapolis several days prior, and Keilar accused him of &#8220;missing the bigger picture&#8221; when he focused on the fact that the shooter was a trans-identifying man.

&#8220;You know, 96% of attackers — when you’re looking at the U.S. Secret Service National Threat Assessment Center, looking at 172 mass attacks in the US between 2016 and 2020 — 96% were non-trans men. So I know you’re focusing on this shooter being trans,&#8221; Keilar said. &#8220;The shooter was trans — and that is certainly of note. But are you missing the bigger picture here when you zero in on that instead of more broadly these school shooters as an epidemic and you perhaps miss the through line that connects them all?&#8221;
Gorka pushed back, arguing that the data set Keilar was pulling from included gang violence and other shootings that did not appear to be ideologically motivated at all.
&#8220;Well, no, because your facts obfuscate two things. You are using data based upon the predominant gun violence – which is gang-on-gang violence with zero ideological content. If you remove all of that, the gang violence on the streets of Chicago, LA, Detroit, then you come down to a much smaller data set,&#8221; he said. &#8220;So it’s like those who say, you know, gun violence in America causes so many deaths, and then fail to note that the majority of the stats they are using refer to also suicides by gun — which, of course, is not what we are talking about here today. So let’s concentrate on mass shootings at schools — specifically Christian or Catholic schools. Then the data set is wholly different.&#8221;
&#8220;So don’t conflate different data sets just to make a political point. There was an ideological content to this attack. That’s what terrorism is. It’s not because somebody didn’t get the drug deal they wanted. It is an ideological message,&#8221; he continued.
Keilar narrowed her data down to just school shootings and said that by her count, only three of the last 32 school shooters had identified as trans — but Gorka was not convinced.
&#8220;Yeah, forgive me if I don’t go with CNN stats, OK? CNN has proven itself to be wholly inaccurate in all kinds of things for the last 10 years — perpetrators of the Russia hoax, and that we didn’t have an open border. So please forgive me if I didn’t take your stats for granted,&#8221; he shot back.
Keilar pushed again: &#8220;It’s simple math.&#8221;
&#8220;No, it’s not, it’s distortions! You are distorting the facts!&#8221; he protested. &#8220;Let me be clear. In just a couple of years, we have seen seven mass shootings involving people of transgender nature, or who are confused in their gender, seven in just the last couple of years! …I’m going to stick with the facts and not CNN’s pseudo facts.&#8221;
Keilar contested that as well, claiming that of the seven Gorka mentioned, at least one had &#8220;used anti-LGBTQ rhetoric.&#8221;
Gorka went on to say that he was most concerned with how often school shooters are &#8220;known&#8221; to law enforcement and whether or not potential red flags and warning signs are being ignored.

&#8220;As to the point about Uganda, you just have to marvel at this,&#8221; Miller began. &#8220;The same leftwing NGO&#8217;s who tell us that we should open our borders to all the poor countries of the world also tell us that it would be unfair, improper, to have anybody live in those countries.&#8221;
&#8220;Well, if those countries don&#8217;t have good systems of law and good systems of governance, then why would we want to have open migration from those countries?&#8221; he asked. &#8220;These two propositions are in complete conflict, but more fundamentally, remember, Garcia has said he does not want to go back home to El Salvador. Miller went on to say that Uganda had been chosen because the United States had reached an agreement with the African nation to help resettle people who were being deported from the country — and that it wasn&#8217;t going to be up to the illegal alien in question to choose a &#8220;favorite destination&#8221; on the backs of American taxpayers.

After a brief discussion about the potential role played by violent video games, Velshi pivoted to blame the guns. &#8220;There are people who play video games all over the world, and nobody has the problem the way we have it in the United States. So it might actually be about the guns.&#8221;
&#8220;I mean, that’s exactly it. And, you know, I want to take it a step further and say that — I want to bring theology into this because you have all these people who want to give thoughts and prayers after a shooting, but I was a minister and that is a form of theological malpractice,&#8221; Jones cut straight to the point. &#8220;When you pray for something that you have the power to change — there’s an African proverb that says, when you pray, you move your hands and feet. You know, what we’re seeing is a form of idolatry, where we’re willing to worship the lives of our children to appease the prophets of the gun industry.&#8221;
Jones went on to attack Republicans over a Tennessee law, saying, &#8220;After the mass shooting at the Covenant School, the only law Republicans passed that year was to protect gun manufacturers from litigation. That’s what they did after children were killed in a school. It is cruel, it is shameful, it’s immoral, and it is something that is going to be a dark stain on American history, that we’ve allowed this to go on for so long unchallenged. And we have the power to change things.&#8221;
&#8220;And I would say to my colleagues who serve in government bodies, that we —Keep your thoughts and prayers, keep your tweets,&#8221; he continued. &#8220;If you wanna address gun violence, you don’t need a tweet, what you need is a mirror. You have the power to change things. You have the power to take action. Now is the time, until it’s your child, because sooner or later it’s gonna hit home. And then it’ll be too late.&#8221;
Other Democrats — from former White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki to Minneapolis Mayor <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/minneapolis-mayor-trashes-people-for-offering-thoughts-and-prayers-after-shooting">Jacob Frey</a> — took a similar tone after the shooting, arguing that calls for prayer were empty without gun control measures.
Press Secretary <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/karoline-leavitt-destroys-jen-psaki-for-mocking-the-power-of-prayer">Karoline Leavitt</a> pushed back, saying that such criticisms were demeaning to the millions of Americans who believe in the power of prayer — and a number pointed out that Republicans have proposed solutions to gun violence that would make schools harder targets, but that Democrats have repeatedly made it clear they will not consider such ideas.

Former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe laid out a long list of similarities between the shooter who targeted a Catholic school in Minneapolis on Wednesday and the shooter who targeted a small Christian school in Nashville just over two years earlier — but he left out one key point.
McCabe briefly served as acting FBI director after President Donald Trump fired his predecessor, former FBI Director James Comey, before he himself was fired — but he has been serving as a CNN correspondent in the years since, and he joined the network early Thursday morning to discuss the shooting that rocked Minneapolis just one day earlier.

The CNN anchor suggested that it could be a case of a &#8220;copycat&#8221; who saw something in a prior shooting and wanted to emulate it.
&#8220;Are you seeing a rise in copycats given what we&#8217;re learning about this obsession that existed?&#8221; she asked.
&#8220;Yeah, absolutely they are,&#8221; McCabe began. &#8220;This is something that we&#8217;ve seen in other mass shootings. We&#8217;ve seen mass shooters who actually refer in their manifestos to previous shooters, but this one is really remarkable to me in that respect.&#8221;

&#8220;I was looking at — I haven&#8217;t seen the manifesto, so I can&#8217;t say whether there are specific references to the 2023 Covenant School shooter in Nashville,&#8221; McCabe continued. &#8220;But if you look at that situation and this one, there are remarkable similarities.&#8221;
McCabe went on to lay out all the similarities that he saw between the two, omitting the painfully obvious fact that both shooters identified as transgender. &#8220;So, both were in their 20s, both targeted religious schools that they formerly attended. Both brought three weapons to the crime. Both purchased those weapons legally. Both drove to the attack site and left a vehicle there. Both posted manifestos in which they raged, and expressed grievance towards numerous ethnic groups and religions. You know, a real broad stroke of, of kind of anger there. Both sought to kill children, young children specifically. And I think the most important [thing] here is both were students of other mass shooters.&#8221;
