The temperature in Washington, D.C., this week was frigid, but the mood was downright sizzling. One of the hottest places to celebrate the inauguration of Donald J. Trump as the 47th president of the United States of America was at The Mayflower Cigars Inauguration Party.
Picture it: a dark paneled room adorned with American flags. The air is thick with heady, aromatic scents of Mayflower Cigars. Canadian rap artist Tom MacDonald, who was also celebrating <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/roseanne-barr-and-tom-macdonalds-trump-rap-daddys-home-hits-number-1-ahead-of-inauguration" target="_blank" rel="noopener">his rap single “Daddy’s Home”</a> with Roseanne Barr hitting number one on the charts, made an appearance at the party. Actor and conservative personality Siaka Massaquoi, fondly known to Daily Wire fans as “Black Jeremy” thanks to his breakout performance in the Jeremy’s Razors commercials, was there too, enjoying the best of what Mayflower had to offer. Douglas Murray flew in from across the pond to attend the inauguration. Even Shazam’s Zachary Levi was there!

American men made their voices heard in the 2024 election by overwhelmingly supporting President-elect Donald Trump, and now legacy media outlets are finally beginning to acknowledge the pain men have felt under years of woke nonsense. 
On Thursday, CBS Mornings aired a segment featuring Michael Knowles on the importance men played in electing Trump. 
“Trump appealed to men because he appealed to men,” Knowles told the CBS Mornings co-host. “He actually campaigned to try to win their votes.” 
“When Kamala was campaigning, such as it was for young men, she sent out her husband to describe masculinity as toxic. Not a great way to win people over,” Knowles added. “She sent out Barack Obama to harangue black men who didn’t want to vote for her.”
CBS even played clips of second gentleman Doug Emhoff criticizing the current “trope” of masculinity and former President Barack Obama ridiculing black men who did not vote for Kamala Harris. 
“This is not the way to win the hearts and minds of young men,” said Knowles.

The Daily Wire host and Mayflower Cigars founder added, “It’s no wonder [the Left] turned men away, but it’s no wonder that they’ve turned women away either. Because women don’t want girly men. Women want men to be like men.”
“There were distinctions between the roles of men and women in the past that always had exceptions, but nevertheless were defined,” he continued. “But now in the name of equality, we seek to deny any distinction. I think what men want and what women want, for that matter, is just to return to a kind of normal society where we can have our traditional way of life and not be constantly taken aback by all sorts of ideological matters. And I think Trump, in his own way, offered that.”

Daily Wire host Michael Knowles appeared on Donald Trump Jr.’s “Triggered with Don Jr.” podcast on Monday, where the two discussed the success of Knowles’ <a href="https://mayflowercigars.com/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Mayflower Cigars</a> and how a positive vision for the future fueled the MAGA movement.

Trump is the biggest win — for the future of America and the present economy — and Knowles discussed how a decisive Trump campaign strategy was similar to a strategy he uses for Mayflower.

Trump Jr. told Knowles that he’s been hoping to smoke a Mayflower stogie with him and floated the idea of getting together during his father’s inauguration on January 20, 2024.

Michael Knowles, Don Jr. Discuss ‘A Positive Vision’ For America

The Oliva CEO added that Mayflower Cigars’ launch was “very unconventional,” adding that the brand “may have broken the mold with this one.” 
Alex Svenson — the Procurement and Special Projects Chief at BrandShopper, an outdoor sports and cigars e-commerce platform — has been in the cigar business for over 20 years. He said that Knowles’ knowledge of cigars impressed him. 
“Michael had a very intimate knowledge of the process of how cigars are made. He had a very specific idea of what he wanted,” Svenson said. “He’s got a great palate.” 
“It became apparent really quickly when I met Michael that this dude really knows his stuff,” he added. Svenson said that Knowles has continued to take a hands-on role with Mayflower Cigars. “Almost to the point of being a pain in my ass,” he quipped. 
Knowles said he’s “had this brand in the back of my mind for about 15 years.” 
“I even pitched it to Daily Wire five or six years ago,” he added. “The best part, unusual in these types of things, is that the company came together precisely as I hoped it would. Everything from the branding to the distribution to, of course, the blends, have not only met but exceeded the wildest expectations I had for them. The whole process has been an absolute delight.”

Now the United States comes in and it owns that land. To which tribe should that revert… to the Comanche who had it before us, or the Apache who had it before them?”
This line of reasoning lays bare the futility of making land ownership arguments when referring to a time of exploration and conquest. 
Knowles also refuted the claim that Columbus was “racist” or “a genocidal maniac,” saying these accusations are unfounded despite their popularity. 
The Daily Wire podcast host further expanded on his feelings about Columbus during a 2019 <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8Y-Ag-ocB-Q" target="_blank" rel="noopener">speech</a> he gave at The University of Notre Dame. 
Knowles said Columbus was “born to no rank and received no education other than the extensive instruction into which he poured his sizable genius.” He mentioned that the Left hates him at least in part because he was a devout Catholic.
Citing historical evidence, Knowles pointed out multiple times when Columbus was attacked by native tribes and showed restraint.
