In December 2020, “Westworld” star Evan Rachel Wood entered into a custody battle with her ex-partner, actor Jamie Bell, over the couple’s then-7-year-old son, Jack.
Initially, Bell and Wood split custody of the boy with few issues, as Bell wrote in court documents publicly released last week and reviewed by The Daily Wire. 
But two months later, in February of 2021, she made explosive allegations against Brian Warner — also known as Marilyn Manson — of sexually abusing her during their relationship a decade earlier. The allegations, which Warner denies, were then repeated in Wood’s documentary “Phoenix Rising,” which aired in March of 2022 on HBO.
Wood and Bell alternated holidays with Jack, and Christmas of 2020 was supposed to be Bell’s time with his son. But on December 22 of that year, Wood did not arrive to return Jack to Bell for the holidays as agreed. She even, according to Bell, lied to him about bringing Jack back to Los Angeles from her second home in Nashville, Tennessee. 
Wood allegedly told Jack in a text on December 18, 2020, that she and Jack had arrived back in Los Angeles. As Bell soon learned, this was untrue, as Wood and Jack had never left Tennessee.
For four days, Bell believed his son was in Los Angeles but couldn’t contact him on FaceTime even though he tried every day. Wood didn’t respond either, and neither did her mother, so as a last resort, Bell said he reached out to Wood’s assistant, who informed him that Jack was still in Tennessee.

Soon after, on the day that Jack was supposed to be returned to his father, Wood emailed Bell to tell him that her and Jack’s safety was at risk because she was involved in a high-profile criminal investigation and would be “staying in Nashville for the immediate future.” Her email was pleasant and cordial, but Bell doubted her story, believing that if Wood was in danger, it would be safer if Jack were with his father.
“Or she has invented or exaggerated any potential danger and is withholding Jack from Jamie to satisfy her own whims,” the court documents say.
On December 23, Wood sent Bell a letter supposedly from law enforcement who were working on the investigation. It was sent to Bell on the messaging app Signal and was not on any formal letterhead. Bell was also sent an image that the name Ilma Gore at the top. Gore is a graphic artist that Wood dated for more than a year. Wood deleted that post and sent Bell one that didn’t have Gore’s name at the top.
The letter said that Wood was involved in an investigation involving a well-known public figure and that, the “safety of Ms. Wood, her family, other victims, and of their families are of the utmost concern during this time.”
The letter contained a signature from someone who allegedly worked at the “Federal Violent Crimes Department,” a department he says doesn’t exist.
Bell continued to try to contact Wood over the next few months, but claimed she “used the global pandemic, a third-party investigation, bad faith mediation, and three separate law firms in two separate states to withhold a 7-year-old boy from his father for months.”
Bell was eventually able to regularly FaceTime with Jack, and said in court documents that “Jack has been made to unreasonably fear Los Angeles and men he does not know as Evan [Rachel Wood] continues to inappropriately involve him in whatever fears she may have as she proceeds in allegations of abuse by Marilyn Manson.”
In one FaceTime call on February 25, 2021, Bell said Jack said something like “You’re not good Daddy, you’re not here,” which broke his heart. In an earlier FaceTime call, Jack told Bell that he had drawn a picture of a man who had been hurting him. Wood, Bell alleged, jumped on the call to say it wasn’t a man hurting Jack but a man hurting Wood. Jack then said the man’s name is Brian – referring to Marilyn Manson – and that the man lives just three miles away from Bell in Los Angeles.
At some point – after a failed mediation attempt and Wood filing and retracting a restraining order against Bell – Jack was allowed to spend some time with Bell at his in-law’s home in Florida. While there, Jack repeatedly said he was worried about his safety and continually brought up the man who allegedly hurt his mom, even displaying “emotional outbursts” related to the investigation concerning Wood’s allegations. Jack also said he could only participate in future events “if Brian is in Jail.”
“I am absolutely appalled and terrified that Evan is feeding this information to our 7-year-old,” Bell said in court documents.
He also noted that the alleged abuse by Manson happened a decade ago and the abuse is not new and did not have anything to do with the custody issue.
“I know Evan loves our son but I am very concerned by how she is handling the current situation,” Bell wrote. “I do not even want to think of the short-and long-term psychological harm Evan might be inflicting upon Jack with this kind of talk and my prolonged separation from him.”
Manson has distanced himself from the custody battle, even though he has been drawn into it. A source close to the singer told The Daily Wire that “Manson has never threatened Evan or her family.”
“She&#8217;s never presented any evidence of any threats against her or her family,” added the source, who requested anonymity. “Manson hasn&#8217;t had any interaction with Evan in nearly a decade. Evan is looking for someone to blame for her family problems which, according to court documents, she&#8217;s actually causing herself. Her ex-husband asserted that she caused ‘psychological harm’ to their young son through ‘prolonged separation.’  Evan&#8217;s threat to her own family stability is very real and well-documented, unlike the alleged threats she claims to have received from Manson.”

In <a href="https://www.independent.co.uk/life-style/evan-rachel-wood-son-mothers-day-b2075737.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">a Mother’s Day post</a> last year thanking herself, Wood apparently referred to Jack, who was eight at the time, using they/them pronouns. Wood describes herself as “queer” in the post.
The custody dispute has been ongoing for two years. Last week, Wood reportedly gave Bell primary custody of Jack, according to court documents <a href="https://theblast.com/491826/evan-rachel-wood-gives-up-custody-of-son-after-fears-of-marilyn-manson-retaliation/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">obtained by The Blast</a>.
Some of the information contained in Bell’s court documents were also included in Marilyn Manson’s <a href="https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-10570541/Marilyn-Manson-SUES-Evan-Rachel-Wood-malicious-falsehood-abuse-claims.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">defamation lawsuit</a> against Wood, including the allegedly fake FBI letter. Manson also accused Wood of providing the falsified letter to bolster her documentary about her allegations against the legendary rock star.
As further proof of the alleged deception, Manson included a screenshot of a purported conversation between Gore and Wood, in which they allegedly workshopped what to write in the supposedly fake FBI letter.
Wood responded to the lawsuit <a href="https://www.etonline.com/evan-rachel-wood-responds-to-marilyn-mansons-lawsuit-i-have-the-truth-on-my-side-180187" target="_blank" rel="noopener">by saying</a> she stands “by everything that I have said about the abuse allegations.”
Another woman who appeared in that documentary, Ashley Morgan Smithline, <a href="https://www.rollingstone.com/music/music-news/ashley-morgan-smithline-marilyn-manson-1234685610/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">recanted her allegations</a> against Manson and said that she had “succumbed to pressure from Evan Rachel Wood and her associates to make accusations of rape and assault against Mr. Warner that were not true.”
Wood responded by saying in <a href="https://www.latimes.com/entertainment-arts/music/story/2023-02-28/evan-rachel-wood-manipulation-allegations-marilyn-manson#:~:text=%E2%80%9CI%20never%20pressured%20or%20manipulated,It%20was%20Ms." target="_blank" rel="noopener">a sworn declaration</a> she “never pressured or manipulated Ashley Morgan Smithline to make any accusations against Plaintiff Brian Warner, and I certainly never pressured or manipulated her to make accusations that were not true.” She added that Smithline first contacted her in March 2019.
More than a dozen other women have also accused Manson of sexual assault.
Much of Manson’s lawsuit against Wood <a href="https://www.vulture.com/2023/05/marilyn-manson-evan-rachel-wood-claims-struck.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">was thrown out</a> in early May under California’s anti-SLAPP law, including a claim about Wood recruiting, coordinating, and pressuring other women to accuse the singer of abuse. Manson’s remaining claims are set to go to trial on May 1, 2024. He is also appealing the dismissal of the claims that were thrown out.

A woman who had accused <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/im-not-scared-evan-rachel-wood-speaks-on-marilyn-manson-defamation-lawsuit" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Marilyn Manson</a> of psychological and sexual abuse has recanted, claiming fellow accuser, actress <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/evan-rachel-wood-claims-marilyn-manson-essentially-raped-her-during-music-video-shoot" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Evan Rachel Wood</a>, pressured her into making the false accusations.
Ashley Morgan Smithline, who claimed Manson sexually assaulted her numerous times, has now filed a declaration in support of the musician&#8217;s defamation lawsuit against Wood.
&#8220;When I said, no this did not happen to me and this was not my experience, I recall being told by Ms. Wood that just because I could not remember did not necessarily mean that it did not happen,&#8221; Smithline <a href="https://www.yahoo.com/now/marilyn-manson-accuser-ashley-smithline-121113300.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">said</a> in the declaration, filed in Los Angeles Superior Court.
Back in 2021, Smithline told PEOPLE magazine that Manson, real name Brian Warner, carved his initials into her thigh. &#8220;I was brainwashed, and it makes me feel disgusting,&#8221; the model said. The pair also engaged in a blood pact, she said. &#8220;He cut me on my stomach and then drank my blood. Then, he had me drink his,&#8221; Smithline claimed. &#8220;The more I let him hurt me, the more I loved him and the more I was proving myself to him.&#8221;
At the time, Smithline said meeting with Wood and other accusers back in 2020 helped her start the healing process. &#8220;Being with the other girls, these feelings of guilt and shame have lessened,&#8221; she said.
&#8220;I&#8217;m not a victim,&#8221; Smithline told PEOPLE. &#8220;I&#8217;m a f***ing survivor. I want people to know who he is, and it&#8217;s worth it if not one more woman gets hurt again.&#8221;
A representative for Wood <a href="https://www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news/former-marilyn-manson-accuser-alleges-evan-rachel-wood-pressured-makin-rcna72090" target="_blank" rel="noopener">told</a> NBC News, “Evan never pressured or manipulated Ashley,&#8221; adding that &#8220;it was Ashley who first contacted Evan about the abuse she had suffered.&#8221;
A lawsuit Smithline filed against Manson was <a href="https://www.latimes.com/entertainment-arts/music/story/2023-01-04/sexual-assault-lawsuit-against-marilyn-manson-dismissed" target="_blank" rel="noopener">dismissed</a> without prejudice in January after the then-accuser attempted to fire her legal representation and did not find new counsel prior to a deadline.
The lawsuit dismissal means that the suit can be brought forward again in the future. Smithline submitted a motion to withdraw representation in October but didn’t get new lawyers by December 5.
“We thank and commend Ashley Smithline for dismissing her claims against Brian Warner without seeking or receiving anything in return,” Manson’s lawyer, Howard King, <a href="https://www.foxnews.com/entertainment/marilyn-manson-sexual-assault-lawsuit-dismissed-federal-judge" target="_blank" rel="noopener">said</a> in reaction to the news.
“Ms. Smithline has refused to be manipulated by others who are trying to pursue their own agendas against Mr. Warner. We wish her well and will continue to work to assure that a significant price will be paid by those who have tried to abuse our legal system,” King added.
Manson has claimed that his and Smithline’s relationship didn’t even last a week in 2010 and that her allegations never happened.
“There are so many falsehoods within her claims that we wouldn’t know where to begin to answer them,” Manson <a href="https://www.latimes.com/entertainment-arts/music/story/2023-01-04/sexual-assault-lawsuit-against-marilyn-manson-dismissed" target="_blank" rel="noopener">said</a> in a statement shortly after the filing of Smithline&#8217;s suit.
Wood&#8217;s representative added that &#8220;it’s unfortunate that the harassment and threats Ashley received after filing her federal lawsuit appear to have pressured her to change her testimony.&#8221;

An anonymous woman filed a lawsuit against singer Marilyn Manson for allegedly grooming and sexually assaulting her multiple times when she was underage in the 1990s.
Plaintiff &#8220;Jane Doe&#8221; filed the lawsuit in Nassau County Supreme Court in Long Island, New York, on Monday against Manson, whose real name is Brian Warner, and his former record labels, Interscope and Nothing Records, <a href="https://www.rollingstone.com/music/music-news/marilyn-manson-sued-sexual-assault-minor-1234670671/">Rolling Stone</a> reported.
The filings include several accusations of misconduct early in his career, which include counts of sexual battery and intentional infliction of emotional distress, and negligence and intentional infliction of emotional distress, among other charges against the labels from 1995 through 1999.
&#8220;While on the tour bus, Defendant Warner performed various acts of criminal sexual conduct upon Plaintiff, who was a virgin at the time, including but not limited to forced copulation and vaginal penetration,&#8221; the lawsuit claims.
The lawsuit alleges Doe first encountered the singer at 16 years old at a concert in Dallas, Texas, in 1995, where the plaintiff claims the defendant invited her &#8220;and one of the other younger girls&#8221; inside the bus after waiting outside to meet the artist.
Doe further claims one of the band members witnessed the singer sexually assault her and that Warner threatened her, saying that &#8220;if she told anyone, he would kill her and her family,&#8221; the lawsuit reads.
A crew member for the singer allegedly gave Doe a 1-800 number to access the band and meet with the singer again. The plaintiff also claims Warner would reach out to her online and request explicit images of her and her friends.
The lawsuit also documents a second assault when the singer allegedly convinced Doe to travel to New Orleans for a concert when she was 16, where he &#8220;groomed&#8221; her by complimenting her artwork.
Part of the lawsuit claims the defendant&#8217;s record labels &#8220;were well-aware&#8221; of Warner&#8217;s &#8220;obsession with sexual violence and childhood sexual assault.&#8221;
&#8220;Defendants Interscope and Nothing Records were aware of Defendant Warner&#8217;s practice of sexually assaulting minors, and aided and abetted such behavior,&#8221; the lawsuit reads. &#8220;As a result of Brian Warner&#8217;s sexual abuse and assault, enabled and encouraged by Defendants Interscope and Nothing Records, Plaintiff has suffered severe emotional, physical, and psychological distress, including shame, and guilt, economic loss, economic capacity and emotional loss.&#8221;
&#8220;This suit by this survivor is a giant step in bringing light and heat to an industry that has been hiding perils in plain sight,&#8221; Jeff Anderson, attorney for Doe, told Rolling Stone in a statement. &#8220;It&#8217;s time to face the music. New laws give survivors the time to take real action for justice and protection.&#8221;
&#8220;We are grateful to the survivors and so many others who now align with us to expose the predators and those in the music industry that have … permitted, promoted, and profiteered from his violence against the vulnerable,&#8221; Anderson adds.
The plaintiff seeks unspecified damages that a trial will determine, including an &#8220;order enjoining Defendants from future unlawful business practices including, but not limited to, exposing minors and vulnerable adults to sexual abuse and exploitation.&#8221;
Representatives for Manson and the record labels did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
Nine Inch Nails frontman Trent Reznor, who founded Nothing Records, responded to a claim in Manson&#8217;s 1998 autobiography &#8220;The Long Hard Road Out of Hell&#8221; two years ago, which reads that the two musicians allegedly physically and sexually assaulted a woman in the 1990s.
&#8220;I have been vocal over the years about my dislike of Manson as a person and cut ties with him nearly 25 years ago,&#8221; Reznor said, according to Rolling Stone. &#8220;As I said at the time, the passage from Manson&#8217;s memoir is a complete fabrication. I was infuriated and offended back when it came out and remain so today.&#8221;
Manson has been accused of sexual misconduct several times in recent years by more than two dozen women, including actress Evan Rachel Wood and Game of Thrones actress Esmé Bianco, who have described similar patterns of sexual and physical abuse from the singer.
Model Ashley Morgan Smithline filed a lawsuit against Manson alleging that he raped and abused her multiple times from 2010 to 2013. However, it was <a href="https://www.latimes.com/entertainment-arts/music/story/2023-01-04/sexual-assault-lawsuit-against-marilyn-manson-dismissed" target="_blank" rel="noopener">dismissed</a> without prejudice earlier this month after Smithline attempted to fire her legal representation and did not find new counsel prior to a deadline.

These are not the only sexual assault accusations that have been lobbed at Manson. Actresses Evan Rachel Wood and Esmé Bianco have both said that he abused them.
Manson has said he did not abuse the women who have come forward, which amount to at least 15 women in addition to Smithline.
An additional sexual abuse investigation was <a href="https://www.latimes.com/california/story/2022-09-20/marilyn-manson-sexual-abuse-investigation-george-gascon" target="_blank" rel="noopener">carried</a> out over 19 months by the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department and given to District Attorney George Gascón in September.
Gascón’s office <a href="https://www.foxla.com/news/lasd-submits-marilyn-manson-investigation-file-to-la-da-gascon" target="_blank" rel="noopener">said</a> at the time that &#8220;there is more material that is still outstanding, however, we do not have a timeline for the additional submission from the LASD,” adding that the &#8220;review will take some time, but rest assured, our officer takes these allegations very seriously.&#8221;

Marilyn Manson probably won’t be charged with any crimes following sexual assault claims from his ex-fiancee, Evan Rachel Wood, sources told <a href="https://www.tmz.com/2022/05/31/marilyn-manson-sexual-assault-case-no-charges/">TMZ</a>.
The 53-year-old rock star, whose real name is Brian Warner, came under heavy scrutiny in 2021 when Wood went public with her allegations of abuse. Specifics of the alleged abuse were detailed in the documentary “Phoenix Rising,” which debuted at Sundance in 2022.
For one thing, the actress said Warner “essentially raped” her during a music video shoot that was meant to include simulated sex.
“It was a really traumatizing experience filming the video. I didn’t know how to advocate for myself or know how to say no because I had been conditioned and trained to never talk back—to just soldier through,” Wood said of the experience.
“I felt disgusting and like I had done something shameful, and I could tell that the crew was very uncomfortable and nobody knew what to do,” she said. “I was coerced into a commercial sex act under false pretenses. That’s when the first crime was committed against me and I was essentially raped on camera.”
Wood made headlines in 2021 with <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/marilyn-manson-denies-evan-rachel-woods-abuse-allegations-gets-dropped-from-record-label">claims</a> that Warner began grooming her as a teenager and then “horrifically abused” her for years. So far, Warner has denied all allegations and said that accusers who came forward were “cynically and dishonestly seeking to monetize and exploit the #MeToo movement,&#8221; and blamed one accuser for launching a “coordinated attack&#8221; against him.
Now after a months-long investigation, which culminated in Special Victims Unit detectives entering the rock star’s home in November, TMZ is reporting that there’s probably not enough evidence to bring charges against him.
The source told the publication that cops were close to submitting their findings to the L.A. County District Attorney&#8217;s Office, which will make the final decision on whether or not to bring charges against Warner. But the officers said there are &#8220;some credibility issues with the victim,&#8221; plus they could find no evidence of the “soundproof room” she was allegedly locked in as punishment.
Warner also filed a lawsuit against Wood, claiming she wrote a fake letter from the FBI, pretending to be an agent and hinting that he was under investigation in said fake letter to give credibility to other alleged victims as well as herself. 
The rocker has denied the claims all along. “Obviously, my art and my life have long been magnets for controversy, but these recent claims about me are horrible distortions of reality,” Warner said. “My intimate relationships have always been entirely consensual with like-minded partners.”

The second part of the documentary “Phoenix Rising” debuted today, and with it comes some shocking claims from Evan Rachel Wood. The actress, who formerly accused her ex Marilyn Manson of sexual assault, had even more specific stories of sadistic abuse. The 34 year old also admitted to having an abortion while the two were dating and trying to commit suicide afterward because she was so depressed.
In “Phoenix Rising,” Wood said that Manson (whose real name is Brian Warner) allegedly refused to wear a condom. He also wouldn’t allow her to use any birth control. When Wood left to film the project &#8220;Mildred Pierce&#8221; in 2011, she found out she was pregnant and decided to have an abortion, USA Today <a href="https://www.usatoday.com/story/entertainment/movies/2022/03/15/evan-rachel-wood-accuses-marilyn-manson-drink-blood-phoenix-rising/6984690001/">reported</a>.
&#8220;I obviously believe in a woman&#8217;s right to choose, but that doesn&#8217;t mean that it wasn&#8217;t devastating,&#8221; Wood said.
She recalls feeling suicidal after the abortion and tried to kill herself. The actress said she later committed herself to a mental health facility to help process her emotions. Being there had another positive impact as well. 
&#8220;When I got there, I could sleep because [Manson] didn&#8217;t know where I was,&#8221; Wood recalled.
The documentary included other gritty moments, such as Wood’s admission of very graphic details from her relationship with Manson. She said the rocker made her drink his blood, hit her with a swastika-adorned Nazi whip, and shocked her private parts, among other atrocities.
Ever since Wood went public with her claims of abuse, Manson has been denying they ever happened and even filed a defamation lawsuit against his former girlfriend. He accused Wood of making it all up plus hacking into his private email account in an attempt to attract more “fake” witnesses by posing as an FBI agent. Wood said she cannot discuss specifics of the case yet, but <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/im-not-scared-evan-rachel-wood-speaks-on-marilyn-manson-defamation-lawsuit">stands by her original claims</a> of assault. 
“I can’t obviously speak about any of the specific allegations of the lawsuit, but I’m not scared,” Wood said during an appearance on “The View.”
“I am sad, because this is how it works. This is what pretty much every survivor that tries to expose someone in a position of power goes though, and this is part of the retaliation that keeps survivors quiet. This is why people don’t want to come forward. This was expected.”
One person speaking out in defense of Wood is Manson’s former assistant, Dan Cleary. Back before Wood identified Manson as her accuser, Cleary defended her on Twitter and said he believed her.
&#8220;He broke her. I didn&#8217;t totally realize until later in life,&#8221; Cleary wrote at the time. &#8220;But as I see so many people defending him and calling his accusers liars, I&#8217;ve just had enough. Believe them, I saw it.&#8221;

Manson’s real name is Brian Warner, and Wood dated him from mid-2006 until 2011. Now Warner is suing his ex for defamation, emotional distress, and “impersonation over the internet” and she is not surprised. She went on “The View” to discuss the situation.

Originally the actress had kept her abuser’s name private but shocked fans by revealing it was Warner in an Instagram post.
Meanwhile, Marilyn Manson says none of this ever happened.
&#8220;There will come a time when I can share more about the events of the past year. Until then, I’m going to let the facts speak for themselves,&#8221; Warner tweeted earlier this month, linking to the pending lawsuit.
In a previous statement from his lawyers, Warner had said that he &#8220;vehemently denies any and all claims of sexual assault or abuse of anyone&#8221; and described the claims as &#8220;part of a coordinated attack by former partners and associates of Mr. Warner who have weaponized the otherwise mundane details of his personal life and their consensual relationships into fabricated horror stories.&#8221;
Further, Warner accused Wood and her friend, artist Illma Gore for hacking into his email and forging an FBI investigation letter.
&#8220;As we detailed in our lawsuit, nothing that Evan Rachel Wood, Illma Gore or their hand-picked co-conspirators have said on this matter can be trusted,” Warner’s lawyer Howard King <a href="https://www.usatoday.com/story/entertainment/movies/2022/03/15/evan-rachel-wood-accuses-marilyn-manson-drink-blood-phoenix-rising/6984690001/">told</a> USA Today. “This is just more of the same. But, then again, what else would you expect from a group who have spread falsehood after falsehood about Brian and even went as far as to forge an FBI letter to further their phony claims?&#8221;

Shock rocker Marilyn Manson is responding to Evan Rachel Wood’s allegations of abuse by filing a lawsuit of his own.
The 53-year-old recording artist, whose real name is Brian Warner, filed a defamation lawsuit against Wood this week, claiming she even hacked into his computer to impersonate FBI agents in an attempt to get more victims to come forward against him.
Deadline <a href="https://deadline.com/2022/03/marilyn-manson-lawsuit-evan-rachel-wood-abuse-claims-hbo-documentary-1234968988/">reported</a> that Warner’s suit accuses Wood of creating a “conspiracy” that eventually “derailed Warner’s successful music, TV, and film career.” This alludes to how Warner was dropped by his label after multiple women came forward saying he abused them, too.
Wood was the first to publicly call out Warner. He denied any wrongdoing, and in the suit the rocker claims that Wood “created a fictitious email account to manufacture purported evidence that Warner was emailing illicit pornography.” 
“We’re filing this now because we have been able to gather an overwhelming trove of evidence – including both documents and witness statements – which proves that the stories that Evan Rachel Wood and her co-conspirator Illma Gore have been falsifying and spreading are both vindictive and demonstrably untrue,” Warner’s main attorney Howard King told Deadline. 
“It’s incredibly important to differentiate between the character of ‘Marilyn Manson’ and the man Brian Warner,” he continued. “Wood’s claims may resonate because of the intentionally ‘shocking’ character of ‘Marilyn Manson’ but they simply do not reflect the truth. The manufactured facts these conspirators scripted a decade after the event never happened.”
Among other abuse allegations, Wood claims Warner “essentially raped” her during a music video shoot in 2007 for the song “Heart-Shaped Glasses (When The Heart Guides The Hand).” <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/evan-rachel-wood-claims-marilyn-manson-essentially-raped-her-during-music-video-shoot">This incident</a> and others were explored in the documentary project “Phoenix Rising,” which premiered at Sundance.
“We had discussed a simulated sex scene, but once the cameras were rolling, he started penetrating me for real. I had never agreed to that. I’m a professional actress, I have been doing this my whole life, I’d never been on a set that unprofessional in my life up until this day. It was complete chaos, and I did not feel safe. No one was looking after me,” the “Westworld” actress said.
“It was a really traumatizing experience filming the video,” she continued. “I didn’t know how to advocate for myself or know how to say no because I had been conditioned and trained to never talk back—to just soldier through.”
“I felt disgusting and like I had done something shameful, and I could tell that the crew was very uncomfortable and nobody knew what to do,” Wood said. “I was coerced into a commercial sex act under false pretenses. Marilyn Manson is one of the most controversial names in Hollywood right now due to a slew of allegations against him involving sexual misconduct and abuse. As of now, the star hasn’t been convicted of any crimes, but the rumors were enough to get Manson (whose real name is Brian Warner) dropped from his record label and agent.
But rapper Kanye West (who changed his name to Ye) isn’t one to shy away from some bad press. According to a new <a href="https://www.rollingstone.com/music/music-news/kanye-west-marilyn-manson-donda-1292671/">report</a> from Rolling Stone, Manson is going to feature on Ye’s highly anticipated new album, Donda 2, and the duo have been working on it daily for a while now. 
Rolling Stone reported that producer Digital Nas told them how often West and Manson were getting together in recent weeks. “I see Marilyn a lot in the studio,” Digital Nas told the publication. “Like, every day I go to the studio, Marilyn is there working on Donda 2.“
“He doesn’t want Marilyn to play rap beats,” he continued. “He wants Marilyn to play what he makes, and then Ye will take parts of that and sample parts of that and use parts of that, like he did [generally when making] Yeezus. … He has some producers from Yeezus working on Donda 2 this time around, [as well as] Marilyn, me, a bunch of producers from Donda 1.”
This isn’t too surprising considering Ye and Manson’s history. According to Rolling Stone, Manson appeared at West’s Donda launch event last August and is credited as a songwriter on Donda. The rocker even attended one of West’s religious-themed Sunday Services.
Manson stands accused of abuse by multiple women, with former fiancee Evan Rachel Wood leading the charge. Wood said Manson, “essentially raped” her during a music video shoot, plus, “horrifically abused” her for years starting with grooming her as a teenager. “I was brainwashed and manipulated into submission,” she said on social media. Her testimony inspired other women to come forward with similar claims against Manson. The rocker <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/marilyn-manson-denies-evan-rachel-woods-abuse-allegations-gets-dropped-from-record-label">denied Wood&#8217;s allegations</a> plus all others. 
Ye allegedly had a reason for teaming up with Manson, who he claims deserves another chance. 
“When I sit next to Marilyn Manson and DaBaby right after both of them got canceled, for five songs, you know, it’s like they can’t cancel us all,” West said on an <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=27NstO1qOJk">episode</a> of Drink Champs. “[Somebody will] hit you with the accusations of somebody who you was with 10 years ago. And also, there’s women who’ve been through really serious things, pulled in alleys against their will — that’s different than a hug, but it’s classified as the same thing.”
Most recently Manson and West were photographed together at a private screening of Zola. Digital Nas claims West and Manson have “a crazy dynamic.”
“I would have never, ever thought that would happen, but it happened,” he told Rolling Stone of their partnership.
Donda 2 is scheduled to be released on February 22, but after the extended delays that happened with Donda 1, fans are expecting that the album won’t actually drop that day. The extent of Manson’s involvement in the project will become more clear at that point.

Evan Rachel Wood has levied some serious abuse allegations against her former boyfriend, musical artist Marilyn Manson. Now she’s going into graphic detail about some of the incidents, including a situation where Wood claims she was “essentially raped” as a camera crew looked on.
The incident in question was discussed as part of a new documentary called &#8220;Phoenix Rising&#8221; that premiered at Sundance Film Festival on January 23, NME <a href="https://www.nme.com/news/music/evan-rachel-wood-alleges-marilyn-manson-essentially-raped-her-on-music-video-shoot-3144594">reported</a>. 
Wood said it happened in 2007 while filming the music video for Manson’s song, “Heart-Shaped Glasses (When The Heart Guides The Hand).” 
“It’s nothing like I thought it was going to be,” Wood said of her participation in the video. “We’re doing things that were not what was pitched to me.”

Rock star Marilyn Manson has reportedly agreed to turn himself in to the Los Angeles Police Department on an active arrest warrant for allegedly assaulting a videographer during a 2019 concert in New Hampshire.
Gilford (N.H.) Police Chief Anthony Bean Burpee made the announcement on Friday, adding that a local attorney had reached out to the prosecutor for the first time since the warrant had been issued more than 18 months ago. Bean Burpee said it was unclear when Manson would surrender to authorities.
Manson, 52, whose real name is Brian Hugh Warner, is charged with two misdemeanor counts of simple assault stemming from a show he performed at the Bank of New Hampshire Pavilion on August 18, 2019.
<a href="https://www.latimes.com/california/story/2021-06-25/la-me-marilyn-manson-arrest-warrant">According</a> to the Los Angeles Times, “Police said a videographer contracted to film the concert was in the stage pit area when she was allegedly assaulted, specifying that the incident was not sexual in nature.” The outlet reported, “Burpee said the videographer had reported the alleged crime the day after the concert but it took several months to complete the investigation.”
Chief Bean Burpee said last month that Manson, his agent, and his legal team “have been aware of the warrant for some time and no effort has been made by him to return to New Hampshire to answer the pending charges.”
Howard E. King, an attorney representing Manson, called the charges “ludicrous” and provided a statement to multiple news organizations responding to the accusations.
“It is no secret to anyone who has attended a Marilyn Manson concert that he likes to be provocative on stage, especially in front of a camera,” said King. “This misdemeanor claim was pursued after we received a demand from a venue videographer for more than $35,000 after a small amount of spit came into contact with their arm. After we asked for evidence of any alleged damages, we never received a reply.”

WMUR reported, “Bean Burpee said Manson would not need to appear in New Hampshire for his arraignment,” adding, “He could waive his appearance and enter a not guilty plea, or the court, in accordance with pandemic protocols, [could] cancel the initial appearance and schedule a case status hearing instead.”

Just when you think you know a rockstar satanist, more than half a dozen women accuse him of abuse. Three years ago, Evan Rachel Wood recounted harrowing tales of an anonymous ex-boyfriend during a congressional hearing on sexual assault. Now she has identified her abuser: shock rocker Marilyn Manson, to whom Wood was briefly engaged in 2010.
During her testimony, Wood <a href="https://people.com/tv/read-evan-rachel-wood-harrowing-2018-testimony-to-congress-on-abuse/">described</a> the “worst part” of the “domestic violence” as involving “sick rituals of binding me up by my hands and feet to be mentally and physically tortured until my abuser felt I had ‘proven my love for them.’” She recalled, “While I was tied up and being beaten and being told unspeakable things, I truly felt like I could die, [and] not just because my abuser said to me, ‘I could kill you right now.’”
Some of the rocker’s former colleagues have backed up the women’s claims. “Every single thing that people have said about him is fucking true,” <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/nine-inch-nails-frontman-trent-reznor-denounces-former-collaborator-marilyn-manson-in-light-of-allegations">insists </a>former Manson guitarist Wes Borland. “He’s fucked up, and he needs to be put in check, and he needs to get sober, and he needs to come to terms with his demons. He is a bad fucking guy.”
In his defense, Manson has not quite denied the allegations. “These recent claims about me,” he insists, “are horrible distortions of reality.” He does not deny that events resembling those Wood describes took place. But Manson adds what he considers to be a crucial caveat: “My intimate relationships have always been entirely consensual with likeminded partners.” How could Manson’s sexual escapades constitute abuse if his partners agreed to participate?
Wood acknowledges having technically consented to the relationship and at least most of the sex acts. But she also questions her ability to give consent. “He started grooming me when I was a teenager,” she charges. “I was brainwashed and manipulated into submission.” In other words, she was never truly free to “consent” in the first place.
Whether or not the actress in fact consented to the acts depends upon one’s definition of liberty. The modern liberal view conceives liberty as the ability to follow one’s desires and appetites wherever they may lead him. According to this definition, the distinction between liberty and licentiousness that our Founding Fathers so often emphasized disappears. Liberty, the modern liberal view holds, guarantees the right to visit a brothel just as surely as it means the freedom to go to church on Sunday.
Conservatives have traditionally tended toward a different understanding of liberty. In the words of Lord Acton, the traditional view understands liberty, not as “the power of doing what we like, but the right of being able to do what we ought.” As Christ explains to the Apostles, “Everyone who sins is a slave of sin.” In other words, the modern liberal notion is not only wrong, but it actually makes liberty impossible. The classical pre-Christian understanding of liberty takes much the same view. According to this definition, we attain liberty, not by doing whatever we please, but rather by practicing the virtues and taming our base passions, for which purpose we undertake liberal education. When we neglect virtue and indulge vice, we become slaves to our appetites and forfeit our freedom.
Drug addicts demonstrate the distinction. According to the modern liberal view of liberty, drug addicts are the freest people in the world. They indulge their appetites however and whenever they please, so long as they can find their drug of choice. But according to the classical view of liberty, drug addicts are slaves. When a heroin addict joneses for a fix, there is little he won’t do to satisfy his cravings. He may will with his intellect to resist temptation, but his appetite will overpower his loftier desires, and he will degrade himself to stave off withdrawal. According to the modern liberal view, he has freely consented to whatever unspeakable act scored him the dope. In reality, he cannot consent because sin and vice have compromised his free will.
“Age of consent” laws presuppose the classical view of liberty. Children cannot consent because they, like the heroin addict, cannot control their appetites and have not fully cultivated their will and reason. We educate children so that they may learn to use their liberty. 
For decades, the Left has exalted “consent” as the highest political good. Much of the Right has followed suit, cravenly refusing to articulate a substantive moral vision and instead embracing the modern liberal view that mistakes licentiousness for liberty. But the depraved rituals that Wood accuses Manson of performing on her are wrong whether the “likeminded partners” believed them to be “entirely consensual” or not.
