Ken Casey, lead singer of the Celtic punk rock band Dropkick Murphys, didn’t hold back his opinion of a fan who attended a show in Boston over the weekend with a MAGA hat in tow.
He began his rant by saying that Republicans “all wear” a “Chinese f***ing red” MAGA hat, which he claims is “dyeing their brains.” Casey continued, saying, “They&#8217;ve got the black-on-black Elon Musk, true Nazi edition. And then my man here, he&#8217;s getting ready for summer with a nice, f***in&#8217; white one.&#8221;
“Bro, listen, I admire your dedication,” the Dropkick Murphys singer continued while addressing the fan, “But I will ask everyone, if you’re in a room full of people and you want to know who’s in a cult, how do you know who’s in a cult?” He pointed at the fan. “They’ve been holding up a f***ing hat the whole night to represent a president.”
“This is America,” he yelled, “there’s no kings here!”

As the audience cheered, Casey said, “Anyway, anyway, if you mind, sir, we’re gonna play a song about our grandparents and people who fought Nazis in the war and s***. So if you could just shut the f*** up for five minutes.”
The band has singled out Trump voters in the past. At a show in Clearwater, Florida, in March, Casey made headlines for singling out a fan wearing MAGA gear and betting that the items he was wearing were not made in the United States.
“The reason we speak out, we don’t care if we lose fans, because when history is said and done, we want it known that the Dropkick Murphys stood with the people, we stood with the workers,” Casey said at the time. “It’s all a f***ing scam, guys.”
He also <a href="https://www.newsweek.com/punk-singer-dropkick-murphys-bet-maga-shirt-made-usa-2042315">bragged</a> that Dropkick Murphys “always sells proudly made in America merchandise only.” Casey said to the concertgoer, “And here’s the bet I’d like to make: If you lose the bet, we switch shirts, OK? If you win the bet, I give you $100 and the shirt.”
“It’s made in Nicaragua!” Casey said from the stage. “He’s taking the shirt off. We’re taking crime off the streets.”
The band formed in Quincy, Massachusetts, in 1996 with Casey being the only remaining original member. Dropkick Murphys are known for taking influence from Irish heritage when creating their music.

The Illinois Supreme Court on Thursday overturned the conviction of disgraced actor Jussie Smollett who was found guilty of filing a false police report in 2019 after claiming he was the victim of a hate crime.
The court overturned the ruling because it said he was unjustly prosecuted a second time after he was given a sweetheart deal by George Soros-backed Cook County State’s Attorney Kim Foxx that resolved the matter as part of a negotiated settlement.
“We hold that a second prosecution under these circumstances is a due process violation, and we therefore reverse defendant’s conviction,” Justice Elizabeth M. Rochford wrote in the opinion.
A lawyer for Smollett said in a statement: “We are thankful to the Illinois Supreme Court for restoring order to Illinois’ criminal law jurisprudence.”
In January 2019, Smollett <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/jussie-smollett-granted-chance-to-appeal-conviction-to-illinois-supreme-court">claimed</a> he was walking alone at night in Chicago during a polar vortex when two supporters of President Donald Trump — allegedly carrying rope and bleach — recognized him from his role on “Empire” and brutally attacked him while yelling racial and homophobic slurs.

Smollett returned to a friend’s home and called the police, still wearing the noose that he said was placed around his neck by his purported attackers.
It was later reported that Smollett hired two Nigerian brothers he had previously worked with to stage the attack to raise his profile and hopefully get him a raise on “Empire” and further his acting career. The brothers alleged that Smollett paid them to buy plain red hats that he later claimed were “Make American Great Again” (MAGA) hats, signaling the attackers’ support of Trump.
In September 2020, Smollett insisted he was “set up” and continued to claim that he was attacked by two white men wearing MAGA hats. The brothers who said they were paid to stage the attack are black. The Daily Wire <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/jussie-smollett-insists-he-was-set-up-says-he-has-two-new-witnesses-to-refuse-hoax-claims" target="_blank" rel="noopener">reported</a> at the time that Smollett suddenly started claiming he had two witnesses who could prove he did not fake the attack.
After Chicago police investigated Smollett’s original claims for two weeks, they suspected he had staged the attack. Smollett was charged with 16 counts of lying to police, but those charges were dropped as part of the plea deal he was given by Foxx.

San Francisco 49ers defensive end Nick Bosa crashed an NBC Sports postgame interview on Sunday night, enthusiastically pointing to his pro-Trump &#8220;Make America Great Again&#8221; hat.

Back in 2019, Trump congratulated Bosa on social media for being the number two draft pick in the NFL.

In 2016, media outlets <a href="https://www.cnn.com/2019/04/27/politics/trump-nick-bosa-colin-kaepernick/index.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">targeted</a> Bosa for apparent posts online that were supportive of Trump and a post that called former 49ers QB and far-Left anti-police activist Colin Kaepernick a &#8220;clown.&#8221; The athlete apologized for the posts and <a href="https://www.espn.com/nfl/draft2019/story/_/id/26470980/nick-bosa-nfl-draft-best-prospect-itching-return-field" target="_blank" rel="noopener">reportedly</a> told ESPN that he deleted them because he &#8220;had to,&#8221; noting that he might end up being drafted by San Francisco.
Bosa is not the only athlete publicly backing Trump. Former Green Bay Packers quarterback and Hall of Famer <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/brett-favre" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Brett Favre</a>, for example, is set to speak at a Wisconsin rally for Trump this week.
“My Vote is for what makes this country great, freedom of speech and religion, the second amendment (sic), hard-working tax-paying citizens, police and military. In this election, we have freedom of choice, which all should respect. President Joe Biden got caught donning a Trump hat during a Wednesday visit with Pennsylvania firefighters, and video of the moment it happened quickly went viral.
People scrambled for an explanation — Was he tricked? Was it an endorsement? — but then a longer video of the exchange made the rounds.

Biden was visiting with firefighters in Shanksville, Pennsylvania, for the 23rd anniversary of the 9/11 terror attacks at the time, and there was a discussion with one man regarding whether or not Biden would sign a hat.
The president obliged, signing a navy blue cap with what appeared to be the presidential seal on it, but as he handed it over, he told the man, “I need that hat.”
The man offered Biden his hat — a red baseball cap with an American flag on the bill and “Trump” in bold lettering — and asked, “Do you want my autograph?”
”Hell no,” Biden replied, prompting laughs. “I ain’t going that far.”
Biden put the Trump cap on over the hat he was already wearing, and the firefighters cheered.

“Hey, I’m proud of you now, you old fart,” the man said to Biden.
”No eating dogs and cats,” Biden replied as the laughter died down.
The White House responded to the viral video with a statement from spokesman Andrew Bates, who said that Biden had taken the hat as a gesture to the unity that Americans had felt in the aftermath of the terrorist attacks.
“At the Shanksville Fire Station, @POTUS spoke about the country’s bipartisan unity after 9/11 and said we needed to get back to that,” Bates wrote. “As a gesture, he gave a hat to a Trump supporter who then said that in the same spirit POTUS should put on his Trump cap. He briefly wore it.”

The president did not appear to look at the hat before putting it on his head, smiling as he placed it on top of the hat he was already wearing.

Theories flooded X as the video circulated — some, like those who claimed it was a Trump endorsement, far less likely than others — as people scrambled to explain what reason Biden could possibly have for wearing anything Trump-related.
Some suggested, for example, that he was angry at Vice President Kamala Harris for taking his place on the 2024 ballot.

Some Democrats are publicly criticizing President Joe Biden too much as the 2024 general election nears, according to Sen. John Fetterman (D-PA).
The first-term senator joined MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” hosts Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski on Thursday to discuss the upcoming election and Biden’s standing in the pivotal swing state of Pennsylvania. After predicting a “difficult” 2024 race for the president, Fetterman said he’s baffled by the actions of some of his fellow Democrats.
“All kinds of Democrats [are] criticizing the president too publicly. I don’t understand why,” the senator said. “I don’t know what it’s in it for you to do that, whether you’re just chasing clout or you want to make it in the news or anything like that. But, if you’re not willing to just support the president now and say these kinds of things, you might as well just get your MAGA hat, because you now are helping Trump at this.&#8221;

Some Democratic strategists and lawmakers have voiced concerns about the 81-year-old Biden’s re-election campaign, most notably Rep. Dean Phillips (D-MN), who jumped into the presidential race to challenge Biden last October. Biden has also faced criticism from far-Left anti-Israel Reps. “I’ll use this [as] another opportunity to tell James Carville to shut the f*** up,” Fetterman told POLITICO. “Like I said, my man hasn’t been relevant since grunge was a thing. And I don’t know why he believes it’s helpful to say these kinds of things about an incredibly difficult circumstance with an incredibly strong and decent and excellent president. I’ll never understand that.”

The star&#8217;s mother reportedly had a birthday party that included a man in a pro-police t-shirt, and red hats that <a href="https://www.foxnews.com/entertainment/euphorias-sydney-sweeney-faces-heat-moms-party-featuring-maga-like-hats-blue-lives-matter-shirt">reportedly</a> said &#8220;Make Sixty Great Again,&#8221; a play on former President Donald Trump&#8217;s 2016 campaign slogan. Sweeney, 24, rebuffed the attacks as &#8220;wild,&#8221; noting that the party was an &#8220;innocent celebration&#8221; and not a &#8220;political statement.&#8221;
&#8220;You guys this is wild,&#8221; she posted to Twitter. &#8220;An innocent celebration for my mom&#8217;s milestone 60th birthday has turned into an absurd political statement, which was not the intention.&#8221;

The actress over the weekend posted numerous photos of the family party, adding the caption, &#8220;no better way to celebrate my momma than a surprise hoedown.&#8221;
In one of the pictures, an older man is wearing a t-shirt with an American flag, including a thin blue line. The flags are associated with the pro-police Blue Lives Matter movement, which runs counter to the Black Lives Matter movement.

Sweeney has faced a rather absurd backlash in the past, too. In June, the actress was a <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/feels-like-a-threat-sydney-sweeneys-tiny-outfit-at-award-show-riles-up-body-positivity-activists">target of the &#8220;body positivity&#8221; movement</a> for being attractive and wearing a miniskirt at the MTV Movie and TV Awards.
“Why Sydney Sweeney’s micromini outfit feels like a threat to body positivity: ‘So coveted yet unachievable,&#8217;” Kerry Justich headlined a <a href="https://www.yahoo.com/lifestyle/sydney-sweeneys-micro-mini-outfit-body-positivity-213845522.html">piece</a>, which cited numerous upset social media users and “body acceptance advocates.”
“Sydney Sweeney had her toned midriff on full display at the MTV Movie and TV awards where she wore a micro-miniskirt paired with a super-cropped collared top by Miu Miu,” she wrote. “While the low-rise trend has already been seeing a resurgence, the red carpet moment is triggering a response from people who’d like to leave it in the past.”
Justich said <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/actress-sydney-sweeney-talks-past-nude-scene-regrets-i-feel-disgusting">Sweeney</a> pulled off the throwback look “beautifully,” but said apparent reluctance to praise the outfit from onlookers “has less to do with the styling than it does the messaging about beauty and body standards.”
“No shade to beautiful Sydney… but I’m sad we’re seeing more of this ULTRA low rise waist and ULTRA flat tummy look again,” said one social media commenter, cited by Justich. “So coveted yet unachievable for so many of us with different builds.”

Podcast giant Joe Rogan said Wednesday that face masks were like the Democrats&#8217; version of former President Donald Trump&#8217;s signature red MAGA hat.

&#8220;It&#8217;s messed up to think that,&#8221; Dorian said.
Rogan added, &#8220;Masks are like the Democrats&#8217; MAGA hat. You wear it to make people feel comfortable. I know it’s illogical, and I’m fine wearing it if it relaxes people, and makes them feel better. But if people want to argue that they do something, it just doesn’t make any sense man. It doesn’t make any sense.&#8221;
Rogan also made it clear that he wasn&#8217;t certain masks even worked, adding, &#8220;I don’t even know if they work. I don’t think they do. I mean maybe they stop spittle from getting into someone. If you can get your finger in the side of it, and air is coming out.&#8221;
&#8220;I just feel like it’s one of those things where we accepted early on. And now we’re just pretending it’s somehow or another protective,&#8221; Rogan continued. &#8220;But at the end of the day it’s really just a piece of paper over your mouth and you’re breathing perfectly through it, so like how does that work?&#8221;
Rogan has been outspoken on a number of controversial issues relating to the COVID-19 pandemic, particularly the right to try any therapeutic recommended by a doctor and the concept of vaccine passports and mandates.

<a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/joe-rogan-floats-suing-cnn-for-claiming-he-took-horse-dewormer">Rogan</a> also took aim at Lemon&#8217;s colleague at CNN, Jim Acosta, who claimed that the podcast host had taken &#8220;horse dewormer&#8221; when he tested positive for COVID-19. What Rogan had taken was — under the direction of his doctor — the human formulation of the drug ivermectin.
&#8220;Do I have to sue CNN? They’re making s*** up. They keep saying I took horse dewormer. I literally got it from a doctor. It’s an American company. They won the Nobel Prize in 2015 for use in human beings, and CNN is saying I’m taking horse dewormer,&#8221; Rogan <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3O_7O9_nV10">said</a> on his podcast. &#8220;They must know that’s a lie.&#8221;

Kim Kardashian West refuses to speak ill of her ex. Most recently, the 41-year-old reality star had a conversation with journalist <a href="https://bariweiss.substack.com/p/my-conversation-with-kim-kardashian">Bari Weiss</a> about the pitfalls of cancel culture and why she regrets asking Kanye West to remove his red MAGA hat.
Weiss brought up the 2018 SNL appearance when <a href="https://dailywire.com/news/kanye-west-issues-public-apology-to-wife-kim-kardashian-i-know-i-hurt-you/">West</a> got slammed for wearing a MAGA hat, and <a href="https://dailywire.com/news/social-media-accuses-kim-kardashian-of-cultural-appropriation-again/">Kardashian</a> explained how her feelings on the incident have changed.
“I was very nervous. I didn’t want him to wear the red hat,” the “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” alum admitted. “I’m not really a rule breaker, so my personality would be like, ‘OK, you guys don’t like the red hat? I’ll take it off.’ I remember other people were around and it became a thing where he wasn’t going to go on because he wanted to be who he is.”
She went on, saying she encouraged her then-husband to take off his hat. 
“I’m very neutral, but that night I was very forceful with him, and argued with him like, &#8216;You have to take that hat off.&#8217; And now looking back, I think, why should he take that off if that’s what he believes in? Why can’t he wear that on TV? Half of the country voted for [Trump], so clearly other people like him.”
Later, the KKW founder shared how the experience helped her clarify her feelings on cancel culture in general, which she called “the most ridiculous thing.” 
“I learned a lot from that situation,” Kardashian told Weiss. “No matter what, it taught me to be a little bit more empathetic for people that just want to do what they want to do: freedom of speech! And if you want to wear the hat, wear the hat.”
She continued with some words of praise for her ex. “I respect the fact that [West] knew exactly what he believed in and always stood by that. To me, that’s a good quality to have, no matter who is against you and no matter what the circumstances are. I think that it’s just admirable and it’s just a really cool quality. Even if it’s not what I agree with, or even if I would have done it differently, I think it’s commendable.”
Kardashian publicly supported Hillary Clinton during the 2016 presidential election while West was firmly on team Trump. But later when Trump won, the reality star worked with his administration on issues she cared about, including criminal justice reform.
Weiss also asked the “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” star about how she handled the negativity from other celebrities and fans after working with President Trump on the bipartisan First Step Act. 
“I really don’t care about the criticism,” Kardashian said. “I mean, my reputation over someone’s life? Destroy me then. I really don’t care. It was not even an option. And [Trump] did the right thing.”
She continued, “I’m just about doing the right thing; I’m really not about politics at all.”
Later in the interview, Kardashian confirms that she identifies with Democratic policies on social issues and “the rights that the Democrats want” but falls on the Republican side when it comes to tax issues. 
When asked if she is a feminist, Kardashian replied, “I don’t really like titles. I believe in fighting for women 100%, but I just also believe in fighting for what’s right.”

A USA Today sports columnist says NFL superstar quarterback Tom Brady eluded criticism over his support for former President Donald Trump because of &#8220;white privilege.&#8221;
In a <a href="https://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/columnist/nancy-armour/2021/02/02/super-bowl-2021-tom-brady-doesnt-deserve-pass-trump-support/4358829001/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">piece</a> published Tuesday headlined, &#8220;Tom Brady has gotten an undeserved pass for his past support of Donald Trump,&#8221; Nancy Armour said the Tampa Bay Buccaneers QB shouldn&#8217;t get a pass just because he&#8217;s a star. And she blasted Brady for recently refusing to talk about politics, saying he was &#8220;happy to talk politics until he wasn’t.&#8221;
&#8220;How mighty white of him,&#8221; Armour wrote. &#8220;Brady’s ability to enter and exit the debate at his choosing, to shield himself from accountability, is the height of white privilege. As this country grapples with the far reaches of systemic racism, look no further than Brady, for whom the expectations, and allowances granted, will always be different.&#8221;
Armour noted that Brady had a &#8220;Make America Great Again&#8221; hat in his locker when he played for the New England Patriots and said the QB called Trump his &#8220;friend.&#8221; But Brady, who is heading into his 10th Super Bowl on Sunday, recently said he&#8217;s not talking about the former president now that he&#8217;s out of office and facing a second impeachment trial.
&#8220;In theory, it should not matter whether Brady supports Trump, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez or someone somewhere in between on the political spectrum. He has a right to his private views,&#8221; Armour wrote. &#8220;But it was Brady himself who chose to make those private views public. If you think that MAGA hat just happened to wind up in his locker – at camera level, not buried at the bottom beneath a pile of cleats and clothes – I have a case of TB12 supplements to sell you. Brady has carefully cultivated his image over his 21-year career, whether it be his style or his social media posts, and he knew just what kind of reaction he would get.
&#8220;Brady has had the chance – several, in fact – to clarify or walk back his comments and has chosen not to &#8230; Instead, Brady has been allowed to divorce himself from it while Black athletes are made to own their views in perpetuity,&#8221; she continued. &#8220;It might seem petty to bring up Brady&#8217;s moral cowardice now, when the 43-year-old is accomplishing things unlikely to ever be seen again in the NFL. But celebrating what he&#8217;s done while turning a blind eye to what he has not is a privilege Brady does not deserve.&#8221;
Armour later took to Twitter, where she defended her piece. &#8220;ICYMI This isn’t about Tom Brady’s politics. Really. A Trump ad posted to President Donald Trump&#8217;s YouTube page on Tuesday shows POTUS mockingly tossing the iconic red &#8220;Make America Great Again&#8221; hats at opponents of the Right, including Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden, twice-failed presidential candidate Hillary Clinton, and an apparent Left-wing rioter.
The music in the comical ad is to the tune of the Village People&#8217;s &#8220;YMCA,&#8221; except &#8220;M-A-G-A&#8221; is being sung.
A MAGA hat thrown by Trump is edited to mockingly be the cause of Clinton falling down some stairs in one clip, and suffering a medical episode in another &#8212; both real incidents.
The first clip of Clinton falling actually happened back in 2018, while she was in India.
&#8220;Hillary Clinton’s trip to India started off on the wrong foot Monday when she slipped twice while descending the stairs of a historic palace, video footage shows,&#8221; the New York Post <a href="https://nypost.com/2018/03/13/hillary-clintons-india-trip-begins-with-double-slip-on-palace-stairs/">reported</a> at the time. &#8220;The former presidential nominee, who is visiting the country to promote her book, kicked off her sandals after the second slip at Jahaj Maha palace in Mandu, according to footage <a href="http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-5493679/Hillary-Clinton-slips-twice-stairs-trip-India.html#ixzz59dzdSaNF">posted by the Daily Mail.</a> She stepped down the rest of the stone stairs with former top aide Huma Abedin trailing behind her.&#8221;
The second clip of Clinton happened near the end of the 2016 presidential campaign at a 9/11 event. Fox News <a href="https://www.foxnews.com/politics/clinton-has-health-episode-at-9-11-memorial-doctor-says-she-has-pneumonia">reported</a> at the time:

The Democratic presidential nominee fell on her way into her van and had to be helped by her security, according to witnesses and video of her leaving. She was “clearly having some type of medical episode,&#8221; a law enforcement source told Fox News.
After more than an hour of radio silence, Clinton&#8217;s campaign issued a statement saying the former Secretary of State &#8220;felt overheated,&#8221; and later Sunday issued another release blaming the episode on pneumonia and dehydration.</blockquote>
&#8220;Secretary Clinton has been experiencing a cough related to allergies,&#8221; said Dr. Lisa R. Bardack, following the medical episode. &#8220;On Friday, during follow up evaluation of her prolonged cough, she was diagnosed with pneumonia. She was put on antibiotics, and advised to rest and modify her schedule. While at this morning&#8217;s event, she became overheated and dehydrated. I have just examined her and she is now re-hydrated and recovering nicely.&#8221;
In an earlier portion of the ad, a MAGA hat thrown by Trump takes out Biden before he is heard saying, &#8220;C&#8217;mon man!&#8221;
The campaign also took a clip of an apparent rioter getting hit with an object police used to disperse a crowd, instead getting hit with a Trump-tossed MAGA hat.

On the same day, the Trump campaign posted a lengthy, more serious ad hitting Biden. The video has already amassed 4.6 million views on Twitter.
&#8220;Joe Biden doesn&#8217;t support American workers,&#8221; the text of the ad starts, before featuring video of Biden stated his support for the NAFTA trade deal.
The ad showcases clips of media figures admitting the failures of the Obama/Biden presidency and the false promise that the Democratic administration made to renegotiate the trade deal.
