WASHINGTON, May 26 (Reuters) &#8211; The U.S. Department of Justice&#8217;s Civil Rights Division filed a lawsuit against the University of California, Los Angeles on Tuesday, claiming it tolerated a hostile educational environment for Jewish and Israeli students.
In its complaint, the Justice Department accused UCLA of violating Title VI &#8211; a federal law that prohibits discrimination on the basis of race, color, or national origin in any program or activity receiving federal financial assistance &#8211; &#8220;through its deliberate indifference to this pervasive on-campus antisemitism.&#8221;
The lawsuit pointed to an encampment that was built on the university&#8217;s campus in April 2024. The Justice Department described the move as illegal and said that Jewish students were attacked.
&#8220;Universities have an obligation to maintain safe and inclusive campuses for all students,&#8221; said Bill Essayli, the first assistant U.S. attorney for the Central District of California.
&#8220;Universities that violate our nation’s civil rights laws by repeatedly failing to shield Jewish students from antisemitism will be held accountable.&#8221;
UCLA REJECTS ALLEGATIONS
UCLA Chancellor Julio Frenk rejected the allegations, saying the university had taken concrete steps to combat antisemitism on campus.
&#8220;Let me be direct: the suggestion that UCLA has been passive in the face of antisemitism is simply wrong,&#8221; Frenk said in a statement. &#8220;Combating antisemitism is a moral imperative — one rooted, for me, in personal history that makes indifference unthinkable.&#8221;
Frenk said the university had recruited an associate vice chancellor for campus and community safety, reorganized its civil rights office, appointed a Title VI officer, and strengthened policies to protect free expression and campus safety.
Frenk had introduced a campus-wide initiative to combat antisemitism, which issued a report in May outlining a roadmap to address campus antisemitism and bigotry.
In February 2025, the university suspended two leftist student groups, Students for Justice in Palestine and Graduate Students for Justice in Palestine, over their involvement in a protest at the home of University of California regent Jay Sures. The following month, the university recommended revoking SJP&#8217;s status and suspending GSJP for four years.
TRUMP ADMINISTRATION CRACKDOWN ON ANTISEMITISM
The Justice Department announced the lawsuit shortly after a federal appeals court earlier on Tuesday partially upheld an injunction that required it to restore grants awarded to the University of California that the Trump administration had terminated last year because it perceived they supported diversity, equity, and inclusion, or DEI.
The lawsuit is the latest legal action taken by the Trump administration to crack down on what it has described as antisemitism at U.S. universities in the wake of Hamas&#8217; October 7, 2023, attacks on Israel.
The 2023 attack, which resulted in the deaths of more than 1,200 people, launched the Israel-Gaza war.
Hundreds of students across the United States and Europe held demonstrations in the wake of the war, calling for a ceasefire to end it. In some cases, students occupied campus buildings.

The trial is underway for a professor who sued the University of California, Los Angeles, over his suspension after he refused to grade black students more leniently in the wake of George Floyd&#8217;s highly publicized death.
Gordon Klein, an accounting <a href="https://www.anderson.ucla.edu/faculty-and-research/accounting/faculty/klein">professor</a> at UCLA, is demanding $22 million in damages in a trial that began last week in Santa Monica.
Back in June 2020, just weeks after George Floyd&#8217;s death, Klein received an email from a group of his students asking for a &#8220;no-harm&#8221; final exam that could only help their grades and would involve shorter tests and extended deadlines for final assignments and projects.

The students asked for special accommodations due to “traumas, we have been placed in a position where we much (sic) choose between actively supporting our black classmates or focusing on finishing up our spring quarter,” as The Daily Wire <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/ucla-students-want-two-professors-fired-because-they-didnt-accommodate-student-feelings">reported</a> at the time.
“We believe that remaining neutral in times of injustice brings power to the oppressor and therefore staying silent is not an option,” the students told Klein.
The students claimed their request was not “a joint effort to get finals canceled for non-black students,” but rather to “ask that you exercise compassion and leniency with black students in our major.”
Klein responded with several sarcastic emails that got him in trouble with the school.
“Thanks for your suggestion in your email below that I give black students special treatment, given the tragedy in Minnesota,” Klein wrote to the students.
“Do you know the names of the classmates that are black?” the professor asked. “How can I identify them since we’ve been having online classes only?”
Klein also asked about students who “may be of mixed parentage, such as half black-half Asian?”
“What do you suggest I do with respect to them? A full concession or just half?” he quipped.
Klein also wrote that “a white student from [Minneapolis] might be possibly even more devastated by this, especially because some might think that they’re racist even if they are not.”
The professor ended his email response to the complaining students with Martin Luther King Jr.&#8217;s famous quote about not judging people based on the color of their skin.
Students screenshotted Klein&#8217;s email and posted it to social media, where it sparked angry responses.
Klein was <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/professor-sues-ucla-after-he-was-suspended-for-refusing-to-grade-black-students-differently-than-white-students">suspended</a> and criticized by UCLA in June 2020 before being reinstated in September 2020, <a href="https://dailybruin.com/2025/06/30/trial-to-begin-in-lawsuit-filed-by-ucla-lecturer-against-administrators">according</a> to the Daily Bruin.
“Conduct that demonstrates a disregard for our core principles, including an abuse of power, is not acceptable,” <a href="https://www.thecollegefix.com/trial-set-to-begin-over-ucla-prof-suspended-after-refusing-lenient-grading-for-black-students/">wrote</a> Anderson School Dean Antonio Bernardo in a message to the campus community. &#8220;I deeply regret the increased pain and anger that our community has experienced at this very difficult time. We must and will hold each other to higher standards.”
UCLA reinstated Klein after just a few weeks, but his reputation and career had already suffered, according to the professor&#8217;s lawsuit.
Klein accuses UCLA of harming his expert witness practice, where he previously made about $1 million a year in high-profile cases, including Michael Jackson’s wrongful death suit.
“By this moment, as a direct and immediate result of [his] public suspension and excoriation, Professor Klein’s expert witness practice had been permanently destroyed,” the lawsuit <a href="https://www.thecollegefix.com/trial-set-to-begin-over-ucla-prof-suspended-after-refusing-lenient-grading-for-black-students/">states</a>.
Meanwhile, UCLA will argue that Klein was suspended for his &#8220;tone and manner.&#8221;

Trial Underway For UCLA Professor Who Refused To ‘Exercise Compassion’ With Race-Based Grading

UCLA issued an interim suspension to two pro-Palestinian student organizations on Wednesday after masked protesters allegedly vandalized Regent Jay Sures’ Brentwood home last week and reportedly harassed his wife.
Chancellor Julio Frenk announced that the two groups could no longer hold on-campus meetings, apply for funding, or formally associate with UCLA while officials <a href="https://www.latimes.com/california/story/2025-02-12/ucla-suspends-students-for-justice-in-palestine-jay-sures-protest">investigate</a> their alleged misconduct, according to the Los Angeles Times.
Frenk described the alleged harassment in a campus <a href="https://chancellor.ucla.edu/messages/a-stand-against-violence-in-our-community">update</a> on Wednesday:

The Los Angeles Police Department is reportedly examining potential criminal charges stemming from the incident, and the university’s conduct proceedings for both organizations have no set end date.
The interim ban follows a trend of other University of California campuses halting the activities of Students for Justice in Palestine. UC Santa Cruz placed the group under suspension until 2026, with UC Irvine enacting a restriction through 2029. At UC San Diego, the organization faced charges related to campus disruptions last spring and did not renew its official status for the current academic year.
Kira Stein, who leads the Jewish Faculty Resilience Group at UCLA, welcomed the move. “We have a long list of SJP violations of university rules and regulations that we have been sharing with the administration,” Stein said, asserting that the group’s actions amount to “intimidation, harassment, and inflammatory disinformation.”
Meanwhile, the union representing university law enforcement encouraged UCLA officials “to demand prosecution” for any illegal conduct and emphasized that administrative responses should deter incidents that cross legal boundaries.
“Universities cannot allow lawlessness under the guise of activism,” said Wade Stern, who serves as the president of the Federated University Police Officers&#8217; Association.
The two student activist groups swiftly responded to UCLA&#8217;s decision on social media, describing the action as “crazy” and encouraging supporters to closely watch for updates.
In prior statements online, the organizations accused the UC system of “militarizing” campuses to stifle demonstrations, and they repeated calls for the university to cut financial ties with certain funds, weapons manufacturers, and other holdings allegedly linked to Israel.
University leaders, however, have publicly affirmed they do not intend to pursue divestment.

Daily Wire Editor Emeritus Ben Shapiro returned to his alma mater, the University of California, Los Angeles, on Monday night where he slammed the school for its handling of anti-Semitic students, as a new, short-lived anti-Israel encampment was forming outside.
Shapiro opened by speaking fondly of his time at UCLA and of the fact that he met his wife near the campus when she was a student. He went on to describe how the toxic politics of the campus changed him from an aspiring music and biology major to a regular columnist for the campus paper, until he was publicly fired for wanting to write a controversial article about the radicalization of the Muslim Students Association.
“The only thing that has changed is that it&#8217;s just gotten significantly worse and significantly more open,” he said. “The question becomes, why did it become so much worse? And the answer is that this university, among other universities, has decided to coddle an entire generation of losers.”
Shapiro cited the intersectional coalition of contradictory groups that are anti-Israel, including Queers for Palestine while the LGBTQ+ community is persecuted in Gaza. He slammed the school for continuing its record of anti-Israel bias by allowing the anti-Israel encampments last semester, which prevented some Jewish students from getting to class and which Shapiro dubbed the “tentafada.”
“Of course there was last year when we all sort of watched agog as the administration simply allowed the &#8216;tentafada&#8217; to take place on campus, people blocking off the quad because apparently they experience a certain joy living in their own feces.”
A student told Shapiro about the encampment actively forming outside and asked what he believes the administration should do.

“If you violate the rules of the time, manner and place restrictions, then you should be expelled,” Shapiro said. “These schmucks decide to set up their dumb, fake sukkah in the middle of campus where fake Jews can go to celebrate fake Sukkot…and they expect you to take them seriously?”
Over the summer, a judge ruled against UCLA for failing to ensure equal access for all students, writing that the situation has become “unimaginable and abhorrent to our constitutional guarantee of religious freedom,” <a href="https://www.jns.org/ucla-drops-appeal-against-ruling-of-failure-to-protect-jewish-students/">reported Jewish News Syndicate</a>.
The encampment reportedly stemmed from anti-Israel “sukkahs,” a temporary hut-like structure built for the Jewish holiday of Sukkot where many Jews eat meals for the duration of the week-long holiday. During Shapiro’s speech, several tents were added next to the sukkah, but after pro-Israel counter protesters crashed their sukkah and police arrived, the anti-Israel students took down their short-lived encampment.

One tense interaction came with a student who questioned why Shapiro supports the Israel Defense Forces.
“I don’t just condone the actions of the Israeli Defense Forces and the Israeli government, I celebrate and laude them,” Shapiro said. “It is not incumbent on the Israeli government to surrender just because terrorists are evil enough to hide behind civilians. The Israeli government has gone through such extraordinary efforts to not kill civilians that it has managed the best civilian to terrorist kill ratio in the history of urban warfare and it is not close.”

“Do you not want a ceasefire now,” the student followed up.
“I do not want a ceasefire until Hamas is destroyed and all of the hostages are back,” Shapiro responded. “There was a ceasefire on October 6 and then there wasn’t a ceasefire starting on October 7.”
Ahead of Shapiro’s speech, UCLA’s administration <a href="https://redstate.com/jenvanlaar/2024/10/17/exclusive-uclas-attempts-to-shut-down-planned-ben-shapiro-speech-at-yaf-chapter-n2180679">reportedly tried to derail</a> the event by shutting down the original ticketing platform and disrupting security plans. Before his speech, school employees prevented hundreds of students from entering the venue until Shapiro’s speech had already started.

Shortly before the event UCLA Assistant Professor Noopur Raval tweeted about Shapiro’s presence on campus and attendees wearing MAGA hats, calling him a “beta cuck.” Raval has since <a href="https://x.com/KassyAkiva/status/1848536500478079278">deleted the tweet</a>.
On Monday afternoon, Shapiro <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/ben-shapiro-slams-ucla-as-a-woke-trash-heap-ahead-of-campus-speech">posted a thread</a> on X criticizing UCLA for becoming “a woke trash heap,” citing scandals including “plagiarism, DEI, riots, furries, BDSM, womxn, and ‘monsterf*ckers.”
Shapiro referenced several Daily Wire investigations, including <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/ben-shapiro-reveals-how-ucla-med-students-are-taught-anti-white-anti-american-hatred">a March report</a> revealing that UCLA’s medical school mandated students to learn about “Indigenous resistance” and “white colonialism.” He also <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/dei-official-at-ucla-school-of-medicine-massively-plagiarized-her-dissertation-on-dei">highlighted a report</a> about the medical school’s DEI lead, Natalie J. Perry, whose only published paper includes large swaths of plagiarism.
“UCLA has forgotten what it’s supposed to be. It has become a service provider to paying customers — woke students — instead of an institution to prepare experts to be the next generation of doctors, surgeons, lawyers, engineers, and leaders,” Shapiro wrote.
Shapiro also shared an April <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/furries-bdsm-and-void-punk-official-queer-magazine-of-ucla-embraces-the-fringe">Daily Wire investigation</a> detailing how the school’s queer student magazine cried for the acceptance of “cringelords, furries, kinksters, and monsterf***ers” and other fringe sexual preferences and identities into the larger LGBTQ movement.

The University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) blocked a pro-Israel event from happening on Wednesday, according to the conservative student group hosting the event.
The student group, UCLA&#8217;s Young America&#8217;s Foundation (YAF) chapter, <a href="https://yaf.org/news/ucla-pulls-plug-on-pro-israel-yaf-event-in-unconstitutional-move-to-placate-pro-hamas-radicals/" target="_blank" rel="noopener" data-saferedirecturl="https://www.google.com/url?q=https://yaf.org/news/ucla-pulls-plug-on-pro-israel-yaf-event-in-unconstitutional-move-to-placate-pro-hamas-radicals/&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1715985570476000&amp;usg=AOvVaw25oAi27VaQ5Jmp_zIUVzOb">accused</a> the university of caving to pressure from &#8220;pro-Hamas campus radicals&#8221; who have engaged in &#8220;violent&#8221; protests and encampments for weeks.
The event was slated to begin at 6 p.m. on Wednesday. The featured speaker was author and counter-Jihad expert Robert Spencer.
However, on the day of the event, the YAF team discovered that the doors to the event room were locked, the student chairman of UCLA&#8217;s YAF chapter, Matthew Weinberg told The Daily Wire.
When they contacted university officials, they were informed that their event would need to be relocated to a &#8220;very old and inconvenient&#8221; location on campus that is much less trafficked, Weinberg said. This was an &#8220;unacceptable last minute change that would have significantly impacted the event’s attendance and impact,&#8221; YAF said in a <a href="https://yaf.org/news/ucla-pulls-plug-on-pro-israel-yaf-event-in-unconstitutional-move-to-placate-pro-hamas-radicals/" target="_blank" rel="noopener" data-saferedirecturl="https://www.google.com/url?q=https://yaf.org/news/ucla-pulls-plug-on-pro-israel-yaf-event-in-unconstitutional-move-to-placate-pro-hamas-radicals/&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1715985570476000&amp;usg=AOvVaw25oAi27VaQ5Jmp_zIUVzOb">post</a> about the incident.
&#8220;Ultimately, we were barred from utilizing the designated room for our event,&#8221; Weinberg said, adding that he had reserved the room over a month ago.
Administrators allegedly refused to open the locked doors, citing &#8220;security concerns.&#8221;
In the weeks prior, UCLA administrators also allegedly stalled the event&#8217;s approval process, according to the student group. Administrators told the group that if the pro-Palestinian encampment was still in place on the day of the event, it would be too dangerous for an event expressing opposing views to happen, the group said.
The student group brought in legal counsel and contested that decision, arguing that it was an unconstitutional use of the heckler’s veto. At first, the university appeared to reconsider.
&#8220;The school threw up roadblock after roadblock to try and prevent the event from happening. Eventually, the school granted approval, albeit on very short notice,&#8221; Weinberg said.
In the end though, the event was blocked, the group said.

&#8220;The move is also a clear violation of students’ constitutional rights,&#8221; YAF said in its post.
UCLA said it was &#8220;misinformation&#8221; that the event was canceled.
&#8220;The event took place in the designated location after it shifted to a closed, recorded event as proposed by the organizer and agreed to by UCLA,&#8221; Mary Osako, vice chancellor of strategic communications at UCLA, said in a statement to The Daily Wire.
YAF pushed back on the university&#8217;s characterization, saying the event never took place.
&#8220;The statement from UCLA is not correct. To be clear, our event did not take place,&#8221; YAF told The Daily Wire.
YAF&#8217;s president, former Wisconsin governor Scott Walker, warned that YAF is prepared to take UCLA to court over the issue.
&#8220;Conservative students should have the same rights as the pro-Hamas students who have routinely obstructed and violently disrupted the UCLA campus,&#8221; Walker said in a statement to The Daily Wire.
&#8220;UCLA canceled YAF’s access to the lecture hall while allowing protestors to freely roam the campus. Like we did against UC, Berkeley, YAF will prevail against UCLA in court!&#8221; Walker said.
Weinberg, the YAF chapter student chairman, expressed disappointment at the university&#8217;s move.

Earlier this week, we <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/ben-shapiros-investigation-on-deis-influence-on-medicine-sparks-outrage-on-hill-it-risks-lives" target="_blank" rel="noopener">reported on</a> diversity, equity, and inclusion over at Duke University School of Medicine — surgical teams that are being infused with DEI principles, medical schools that are teaching wokeness as opposed to actual medicine.
We asked listeners to send us tips regarding the inculcation of DEI into medical schools, and the organization DoNoHarm <a href="https://twitter.com/benshapiro/status/1763638253507235996?s=20" target="_blank" rel="noopener">showed us the following</a>: Internal emails from UCLA&#8217;s medical school, which is one of the best in the country, show a mandatory class called “Structural Racism and Health Equity” instructed UCLA medical students to read about wars of indigenous resistance in which Native Americans killed thousands of white people so the students could imagine what liberation could look like.

This is legitimately what is being taught at medical schools like UCLA. You have to be inculcated into the cult of wokeness in order to actually achieve that which you seek to achieve, which, of course, is the DEI principle. Meanwhile, students are also taught about “Blackness and Indigeneity” and “how we can imagine a world in the aftermath of settler colonialism and white supremacy.”
Students are also told that for further recommended reading, they should read an article titled “Decolonization Is Not a Metaphor.” When people say &#8220;decolonization is not a metaphor,&#8221; what they mean is that they are excusing actual violence. “Imagine a world in the aftermath of settler colonialism and white supremacy” means eviscerating all of the social structures because what the Left means when they say “settler colonialism” is literally anything the West has done. And when they say “white supremacy,” they don’t mean white people believing they are superior to black people; they mean all the structures of society are inherently racist.
The emails from this first-year class over at UCLA’s School of Medicine also reveal that students are encouraged to listen to a podcast titled “Indigenae,” which covers an array of unscientific garbage, including people who identify as “two-spirit” and “womxn.” You can&#8217;t say “women” because the word includes “men.” Thus, they say “womxn,” which is not even pronounceable.

So what exactly makes this class not just recommended but mandatory class work from students? How exactly does this mean these are going to be better medical professionals?
The answer is, it doesn&#8217;t. It inculcates into them a set of values. And that set of values is then supposed to be carried forward into the practice of medicine.
You&#8217;re supposed to value certain patients more highly than others. You&#8217;re supposed to treat your patients differently based on race, because, after all, you&#8217;re fighting white supremacy and settler colonialism.
These materials aren&#8217;t just irrelevant. They&#8217;re actually dangerous. The only thing you should be taught in medical school is how to do medicine. You should not be taught about why various types of intersectional populations are more valuable than others, because it turns out that the health recommendation for diabetes should be the same across the board.
Medical practice should not depend on the “history of structural racism.” You shouldn&#8217;t have to pull your punches because you&#8217;re afraid of offending somebody when the proper medical diagnosis of an issue requires that diagnosis.
The only way to actually stop all of this is, of course, to expose it.

&#8220;Is this Iran? Nope, it’s @UCLA, one of the nation’s &#8216;finest&#8217; educational institutions,&#8221; wrote Eden Cohen.
&#8220;The Indoctrination Centers of Higher Learning are absolute breeding grounds for anti-Semitism,&#8221; wrote conservative commentator Ned Ryan. &#8220;It&#8217;s been building for years with the Progressive&#8217;s alliance with the Palestinian&#8217;s BDS movement.&#8221;
Sen. Marsha Blackburn (R-TN) commented: &#8220;Truly disgusting to see such hatred and antisemitism take place on college campuses.&#8221;
A local ABC News affiliate said that the event was sponsored in part by Students for Justice in Palestine, an extremist group that schools across the country have started to clamp down on.

Florida Governor <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/ron-desantis" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Ron DeSantis</a> ordered his state to crack down on the group after they showed support for Hamas’ Operation Al-Aqsa Flood terrorist attack against Israel last month where they murdered 1,400 Israelis, wounded 5,300 people, and kidnapped more than 240.
Ray Rodrigues, chancellor of the State University System of Florida, sent notices to the University of Florida and the University of South Florida notifying them that they must deactivate their chapters of Students for Justice in Palestine because they allegedly broke Florida laws about terrorism.
“National Students for Justice in Palestine (National SJP) released a ‘toolkit’ which refers to Operation Al-Aqsa Flood as ‘the resistance’ and unequivocally states: ‘Palestinian students in exile are PART of this movement, not in solidarity with this movement,'&#8221; the letter said.
The letter noted that under Florida law, it is a felony to “knowingly provide material support . . . to a designated foreign terrorist organization. . .” Hamas is <a href="https://www.state.gov/foreign-terrorist-organizations/">designated</a> by the Untied States as a Foreign Terrorist Organization.
“Here, National SJP has affirmatively identified it is part of the Operation Al-Aqsa Flood—a terrorist led attack,” the letter continued, later adding: “Based on the National SJP’s support of terrorism, in consultation with Governor DeSantis, the student chapters must be deactivated.”

Colorado Buffaloes head coach <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/deion-sanders" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Deion Sanders</a> wants the NCAA or the Rose Bowl to repay his players&#8217; thousands of dollars after the college athletes were robbed of jewelry, cash, and other valuable items during their game against the UCLA Bruins last weekend.
&#8220;Our kids got robbed during the game last week,&#8221; Sanders <a href="https://www.espn.com/college-football/story/_/id/38787831/deion-sanders-wants-colorado-players-reimbursed-robbery" target="_blank" rel="noopener">told</a> reporters. &#8220;I think that&#8217;s a travesty. I would expect the NCAA to do something about that.&#8221;
The Buffaloes lost 28-16 to the then-No. 23 Bruins on Saturday at the Rose Bowl stadium in Los Angeles — approximately 26 miles northeast of the UCLA campus. Upon returning to their locker room, at least five players <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/thousands-of-dollars-of-jewelry-stolen-from-colorado-football-players-during-ucla-game" target="_blank" rel="noopener">discovered they were victims</a> of the alleged robbery.
&#8220;This is the Rose Bowl,&#8221; Sanders continued. &#8220;They said the Granddaddy of &#8217;em all, right? I&#8217;m sure Granddaddy had some money. Grandpa should have some money to give these kids.&#8221;
UCLA officials filed a report with the Pasadena Police Department on Monday detailing the items stolen from the Buffaloes&#8217; locker room at the Rose Bowl in Los Angeles.
&#8220;The UCLA athletic department confirmed that a report was filed to the Pasadena Police Department following the UCLA-Colorado football game regarding items that were reportedly missing from the Colorado locker room,&#8221; UCLA said in a statement. &#8220;UCLA is in communication with law enforcement, Rose Bowl Stadium officials, and the University of Colorado on the matter.&#8221;
UCLA head coach Chip Kelly called the incident &#8220;awful for anybody.&#8221;
&#8220;You would think that when you go anywhere that your valuables are safe,&#8221; Kelly said.

Sanders reportedly said most of the players on his team never purchased insurance for the items that were stolen on Saturday.
&#8220;I&#8217;m going to have a list made out from these young men, and I know they&#8217;re going to be truthful about what they lost, so we can try and get it back for them,&#8221; Sanders said. &#8220;They may not be able to get the items back, but they should be able to reimburse them. That was unbelievable.&#8221;
&#8220;It don&#8217;t make no sense when you&#8217;re out there ballin&#8217; and playing your heart out, and you get robbed at the same [time],&#8221; he added. &#8220;I hope we can do something about that, NCAA. You do something about everything else. Do something about that.&#8221;
Between the stolen items and losing the last four out of five games, the Buffaloes have faced a streak of bad luck.
Sheduer Sanders, the starting quarterback for the Buffaloes and Dieon&#8217;s youngest son, took several hits during the last game after the Bruins&#8217; defense team sacked him seven times and slammed and knocked him down dozens of other times. The battering left Sanders needing an injection at halftime to keep playing.
His father and head coach said he would give Sheduer &#8220;another day or so&#8221; to heal before returning to the field.
&#8220;We want his best,&#8221; Sanders said. &#8220;He&#8217;s doing well, though, mentally, physically, as well as psychologically.&#8221;
The Buffaloes host No. 16 Oregon State Beavers on November 4.

University of Colorado football players allegedly had thousands of dollars of jewelry and other valuable items stolen during their game against UCLA over the weekend in Southern California.

Okay, so we’ve all had our fun at the expense of the PAC-12 over what seems like decades.
While the negativity surrounding the departure of USC and UCLA to the BIG-10 is still swirling, next year&#8217;s PAC-12 is set to be the best it has been since I can remember.
Bo Nix just announced he’s returning for another year and Oregon has a chance to be special; Michael Pennix Jr. is coming back to what should be a loaded Washington team; Cam Rising will once again lead the back-to-back PAC-12 champs at Utah.
And, oh yea, USC just added Dorian Singer from Arizona and will return with Heisman winner Caleb Williams.
That isn’t even to mention what Jonathan Smith is building at Oregon State, coming off a 10-win season. And, of course, Chip Kelly and UCLA will be dangerous as usual.
One of the most surprising things most of these teams have (excluding USC’s defense) is a physical edge.
The days of finesse are gone, and if you take stock at each conference outside of the SEC you cannot find one better heading into next year. There are actually legit arguments that the PAC- 12 could be close to the SEC in 2023.
Yes, you heard that right.
Either way the star power will be immense and the contenders will be plentiful in what truly is looking like a renaissance year for the PAC-12.

“The very young transitioning has gathered a lot of support from the left,” Horowitz says by way of introduction of his latest “Ami on the Loose” video shot for PragerU. “But how young is too young?”
Horowitz did not get his answer at <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/ucla-moves-classes-online-after-ex-lecturer-threatens-faculty-writes-800-page-manifesto/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">UCLA</a>.
“How old is she?” asks one woman as she takes a pen from Horowitz.
“She’s five,” Horowitz replies.
“She wants to do the transition now, as a five-year-old?” the woman answers. “Okay. Good luck.”
“Sure,” says another woman.
“Yeah, that’s fine,” says another willing signer.
Horowitz goads some passersby, telling one Annie is a “girl of color,” and describing her as having “mean parents” to another. He tells them she &#8220;wants to go through the steps: hormones, surgery.&#8221;
“At five, she has a right be who she wants to be, correct?” he tells one. “She knows who she is. I think she’s fully developed enough to realize that. Her parents think that she can’t make that kind of decision, and we think she can.”
The pitch leads to yet another signature for Annie.
Horowitz, who shot the video last April, told The Daily Wire he didn’t expect his survey was going to work.
“I set the age at 5 because of the sheer absurdity of the idea,” he said. “Yet the left never disappoints on the downside. Of the dozens of people who stopped and talked to me only a single person objected to what I was doing.
“Imagine allowing a 5 year old to medically transition,” he added. “It&#8217;s frightening how the left allows ideology to supersede rational thought.”
The lone person who balked at Horowitz’s overture was incredulous.
“How old is she?” he asks.
“She’s five,” Horowitz answers.
“Five?” the man responds. “F***in’ right, their parents won’t let ‘em.”
While few were outraged at the prospect of a 5-year-old girl going under the knife for a sex change, one woman did air a medical concern to Horowitz.

Former UCLA basketball player Jalen Hill has died at the age of 22, according to his family and the university.
The Associated Press reported that Hill&#8217;s family learned of his death after he recently went missing while in Costa Rica.
“We know Jalen has played a part in the lives of so many people,” Hill’s family <a href="https://apnews.com/article/sports-basketball-social-media-mens-0dc697d350ef1ad1d83b043ac0b9afcd">wrote</a> on Instagram. “We also acknowledge the role that so many of you have played in his. As we try to navigate this devastating time in our lives, we ask that you please give us time to grieve. Keep us in your thoughts and prayers.”
Josh Giles, Hill&#8217;s high school coach at Corona Centennial, <a href="https://www.latimes.com/sports/ucla/story/2022-09-20/former-ucla-basketball-jalen-hill-dead">praised</a> Hill in a statement for being a good person.
“Just a really good kid, had a great smile,” Giles said. “He was a great basketball player, but I just loved him as a person.”
&#8220;Our program is deeply saddened to learn of the passing of former student-athlete Jalen Hill,&#8221; UCLA Men&#8217;s Basketball tweeted. &#8220;We offer our most sincere condolences to his family and friends during this difficult time.&#8221;

&#8220;The news of Jalen Hill&#8217;s passing is heartbreaking,&#8221; UCLA Men&#8217;s Basketball coach Mick Cronin tweeted. &#8220;Our thoughts and prayers are with his family at this time. Jalen was a warm-hearted young man with a great smile who has left us far too soon.&#8221;
The 6-foot-10 athlete played three seasons at UCLA before leaving the program for personal reasons last year <a href="https://www.espn.com/mens-college-basketball/story/_/id/34635348/jalen-hill-former-ucla-basketball-player-dies-age-22">allegedly</a> related to mental health issues.
&#8220;I just had to distance myself because the headspace I was in, it was damaging the team,&#8221; Hill <a href="https://www.instagram.com/tv/CNVXZcUFTta/?igshid=15cc4qw40hw3l">said</a> in an Instagram video. &#8220;So I didn&#8217;t want to restrict them from achieving their goals, too.&#8221;
Hill was one of three players arrested in China back in 2017 for shoplifting. The other two players were Cody Riley and LiAngelo Ball.
&#8220;Do you think the three UCLA Basketball Players will say thank you President Trump?&#8221; former President Donald Trump tweeted after he got the three men released from jail. &#8220;They were headed for 10 years in jail!&#8221;
Later in the day, during a news conference, all three players thanked Trump for using his power as president to reach out to Chinese President Xi Jinping and convince him to let the players go.
“To President Trump and the United States government, thank you for taking the time to intervene on our behalf,” Riley said. “We really appreciate you helping us out.”
“I’d also like to thank President Trump and the United States government for the help that they provided as well,” Ball said.
“Thank you to the United States government and President Trump for your efforts to bring us home,” Hill said.
