A new president might be in the White House, but Washington, D.C., is pushing “Pride” as much as ever this year. 
From parades and marches to dance festivals and drag performances, the nation’s capital has not stepped back from using “Pride Month” to push radical gender ideology. This year in D.C., hundreds of thousands of people took part in a three-week-long celebration called “<a href="https://worldpridedc.org/event/world-pride-family-fun-festival/">WorldPride</a>.” The weeks-long event concluded on Sunday with a march and a video message from former Vice President Kamala Harris, The Washington Post <a href="https://www.washingtonpost.com/dc-md-va/2025/06/08/world-pride-rally-march-national-mall/">reported</a>. 
“Pride is about honoring the trailblazers who came before, joining arms with those leading the fight for equality today and empowering the next generation to live boldly, freely and with joy,” Harris <a href="https://www.washingtonpost.com/dc-md-va/2025/06/08/world-pride-rally-march-national-mall/">said</a>. “In this moment, as you gather with friends and allies from across the world, let us be clear: No one should be made to fight alone. We are all in this together.”
While President Donald Trump and his administration have pushed back on some of the crazy transgender policies that were supported by the Biden administration, the Left continues to stake its identity on allowing men to compete against women and defending the sterilization and mutilation of children. 
The WorldPride event in D.C. was <a href="https://worldpridedc.org/our-advocates/">sponsored</a> by numerous companies and activist groups, including (unsurprisingly) Kaiser Permanente, the medical group that was <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/detransitioner-chloe-cole-announces-official-lawsuit-against-kaiser-permanente-for-medical-negligence">sued</a> by detransitioner Chloe Cole claiming medical negligence for allegedly facilitating the chemical and surgical sex change operations on Cole when she was a minor. Another sponsor is Johns Hopkins University, which <a href="https://www.hopkinsmedicine.org/center-transgender-health/services-appointments/children-adolescents-and-young-adults#:~:text=Clinical%20services%20are%20available%20for%20children%2C%20adolescents,for%20Transgender%20and%20Gender%20Expansive%20Health%20guidelines.">offers</a> children puberty blockers and cross-sex hormones.

All of these companies put their public stamp of approval on an event that focused on celebrating the LGBT identity and encouraged parents to bring their children to the “<a href="https://worldpridedc.org/event/world-pride-family-fun-festival/">World Pride Family Fun Festival</a>,” which it said would be “especially enjoyed by children ages 2–10.”
Most Americans are tired of the “Pride Month” shenanigans, but they’re still being shoved down their throats with the endorsements of some of the country’s most popular brands.

There are few institutions in this country that have disgraced themselves more thoroughly in recent days than the little-known Champlin Park High School in Champlin, Minnesota. This is the school that just won the Class 4A Minnesota Girls&#8217; State softball championship by fielding a male as their star pitcher in every single game.
This male pitcher, a 17-year-old junior named Charlie &#8220;Marissa&#8221; Rothenberger, pitched all 21 innings across three games of the girls&#8217; championship tournament (because they play 7-inning games in softball). And what do you know? Champlin Park won all three games. Rothenberger capped off his performance by throwing a complete-game shut-out, allowing only three hits in the process. And that&#8217;s just the championship round. He also pitched a complete-game shutout in the quarterfinals. Overall, in the entire postseason, Rothenberger allowed only two runs in 35 innings.

Everyone involved in this farce — from the school district to the coaches to the parents to the athlete himself — should be barred from any kind of competitive activity for the rest of their lives. They should face more serious consequences, which may indeed be coming. (The school district has already been sued). But at the moment, like most cheaters, these people seem to have convinced themselves that they did nothing wrong.
In interviews, Rothenberger and his coach have suggested that they&#8217;re simply better competitors than their opponents. They managed to vary their pitch types and pitch speeds, and their opponents just didn&#8217;t measure up. Here&#8217;s an interview from last season to give you an idea:

Watching this coach speak, any sane person has to fight to suppress their vomit reflex. Imagine celebrating your sports acumen, and acting like you&#8217;re some incredible coach with an incredible team, when you have a boy pitching every single one of your games in a girls&#8217; softball league. The gall that&#8217;s required to stand there, with a straight face, as you cheat in the most flagrant way imaginable — while pretending everything is completely normal — is actually hard to comprehend. &#8220;Pathetic&#8221; does not begin to describe it. And of course, the parents who allow this man to coach their daughters, as he teaches them how to cheat, are just as culpable. Everything about this story is revolting.
And the school district knows that. So does the league. That&#8217;s why they&#8217;ve locked down their social media posts, so that no one can reply to them. Here&#8217;s what the Minnesota State High School League <a href="https://x.com/MSHSL/status/1931023458311282993">posted</a>, before locking the comments: &#8220;Meet Champlin Park, the Class 4A Softball State Champion for 2025.&#8221; And then they attach a team picture, including the boy who dominated the competition.

Riley Gaines noticed the league&#8217;s decision to censor replies. And to point out the league&#8217;s cowardice, <a href="https://x.com/Riley_Gaines_/status/1931057465887728023">she wrote</a>: 
<blockquote>Comments off lol. To be expected when your star player is a boy.</blockquote>
As we discussed earlier this week, Gaines&#8217; post sent Simone Biles, the Olympic gymnast, into a frenzy. She accused Gaines of &#8220;bullying&#8221; the trans-identifying athlete. Biles <a href="https://x.com/Simone_Biles/status/1931129527679308054">also wrote</a>: 
<blockquote>You’re truly sick, all of this campaigning because you lost a race. Straight up sore loser. You should be uplifting the trans community and perhaps finding a way to make sports inclusive OR creating a new avenue where trans feel safe in sports. Maybe a transgender category IN ALL sports!!</blockquote>
And then for good measure, Biles followed up <a href="https://x.com/Simone_Biles/status/1931130395728498927">by writing</a>: 
<blockquote>bully someone your own size, which would ironically be a male.</blockquote>
The other day, we talked about all of the reasons why this rant was highly ironic (especially since Simone Biles isn&#8217;t exactly known for her sportsmanship, or for her feminine appearance). We also discussed why her idea of a &#8220;trans-only league&#8221; is idiotic for about a million reasons. For one thing, there wouldn&#8217;t be enough players, nor would anyone want to watch them play.
Additionally, you&#8217;d have to decide how to classify the non-binaries and the demisexuals and the 50,000 other genders. Do they play with trans men or trans women? Do we need a separate league for every gender? Things could get pretty complicated, especially when the trans furries show up and refuse to wear the standard uniforms. And of course, on top of all of these problems, a &#8220;trans-only league&#8221; makes no sense because the current system — of dividing athletes based on biological reality and not fantasy — works perfectly fine.
So those are just a few problems with Simone Biles&#8217; tweets. Additionally, a few people also pointed out that Simone Biles&#8217; position was also hypocritical, because back in 2017, she wrote <a href="https://x.com/Simone_Biles/status/918328165478666240">on Twitter</a>: 
<blockquote>good thing guys don&#8217;t compete against girls or he&#8217;d take all the gold medals !!</blockquote>
Presumably, that post was written before Simone Biles had lost her mind. But in 2025, Simone Biles, as with so many other prominent public figures, is completely subservient to Leftist ideology. And more than that, she&#8217;s vindictive and openly hostile towards anyone who expresses a contrary position — even if it&#8217;s the position that most Americans hold, and the one that happens to correspond with reality.
Here&#8217;s what elevates this story beyond a typical social media spat. Five years ago, for these posts attacking Riley Gaines, Simone Biles would&#8217;ve received unrelenting praise from every organ of the Left. The media would be asking her how she managed to be so brave in the face of Riley Gaines&#8217; fascism. Activist groups would be clamoring to invite her to speaking engagements. Every podcast would be elevating her as a kind of trans messiah. And then they would&#8217;ve had Riley Gaines banned from the Internet, of course. That&#8217;s how things used to work. In 2020, to give just one of many examples, the comedian Graham Linehan was permanently banned from Twitter for tweeting, &#8220;men aren&#8217;t women tho.&#8221; That&#8217;s all it took five years ago. You&#8217;d get dogpiled and permanently censored for stating the truth about human biology.

But that&#8217;s not what happens anymore. Very few prominent people came out to defend Simone Biles after her post. Instead, she was excoriated by almost everyone. The backlash was so significant that, just a few days after the initial posts, Simone Biles put out a lengthy statement apologizing to Riley Gaines. 
Here&#8217;s what <a href="https://x.com/Simone_Biles/status/1932470954610901259">she posted</a>:
<blockquote>I wanted to follow up from my last tweets. I’ve always believed competitive equity &amp; inclusivity are both essential in sport. The current system doesn’t adequately balance these important principles, which often leads to frustration and heated exchanges, and it didn’t help for me to get personal with Riley, which I apologize for.</blockquote>
The statement continues for a bit, but it&#8217;s worth taking a second to think about the words &#8220;competitive equity,&#8221; because it&#8217;s a real triumph of word salad. What exactly is &#8220;competitive equity?&#8221; Of course, when Leftists say &#8220;equity,&#8221; we know what they mean. They mean allowing certain demographics — like self-identifying trans people — to gain advantages over others. But that&#8217;s fundamentally incompatible with the idea of competition. The whole point of equity is to eliminate competition, so that the Left&#8217;s preferred groups win.
But if you can make it past the oxymoron, Simone Biles does get around to apologizing. And then she <a href="https://x.com/Simone_Biles/status/1932470954610901259">writes this</a>:
<blockquote>These are sensitive, complicated issues that I truly don’t have the answers or solutions to, but I believe it starts with empathy and respect. I was not advocating for policies that compromise fairness in women’s sports. My objection is to be singling out children for public scrutiny in ways that feel personal and harmful. Individual athletes—especially kids—should never be the focus of criticism of a flawed system they have no control over. I believe sports organizations have a responsibility to come up with rules supporting inclusion while maintaining fair competition. We all want a future for sport that is fair, inclusive, and respectful. Xoxo Simone.</blockquote>
As far as apologies go, this one obviously should&#8217;ve gone much further. She should&#8217;ve dropped the word salad and stated that boys don&#8217;t belong in girls&#8217; sports, period. And many conservatives are pointing out that her statement sounds phony, like it was crafted by a PR agency or an AI program. They don&#8217;t believe that it&#8217;s sincere. And they&#8217;re right about all of that, of course.
But they&#8217;re also missing the point. The fact that a very famous and popular public figure felt the need to apologize and issue a PR statement after tweeting in support of the trans agenda is a clear sign of a very significant sea change in our culture. It&#8217;s not really important that the statement was insincere or incomplete. What&#8217;s important is that this series of events — any kind of retreat by Simone Biles in this scenario — would have been unthinkable just a few years ago.
It&#8217;s yet another sign of just how thoroughly the Right has won on the issue of gender ideology. If this had happened in, say, 2021, there would have been a whole army of public figures circling the wagons around Simone Biles. That didn&#8217;t happen this time. And that&#8217;s particularly notable because it&#8217;s supposedly &#8220;Pride Month.&#8221; Remember Pride Month? This is supposed to be the time of year when trans activists become even more unhinged and hostile than they normally are. They&#8217;re supposed to be emboldened. They&#8217;re supposed to loudly shut down people like Riley Gaines. They&#8217;re supposed to dominate the conversation, so that no one is allowed to point out that a male just won a girls&#8217; softball tournament.
But no one&#8217;s talking about Pride Month anymore. LGBT activists are too demoralized and discredited to &#8220;celebrate&#8221; at the moment. That&#8217;s the same reason they&#8217;re not defending Simone Biles. It&#8217;s why she was forced to apologize. And it&#8217;s why the Minnesota high school softball league had to shut down its social media feeds. 
Every single one of these liars is aware of the fact that they&#8217;ve lost most of their public support. Yes, technically speaking, Champlin Park High School was named the winner of the state girls&#8217; softball championship. But, as you watch the players and the coaches gloat, it&#8217;s hard not to be reminded of all the other frauds throughout history who simply took things too far, too quickly. Pathetic institutions like Champlin Park High School and the Minnesota State Softball League, along with cowardly mouthpieces like Simone Biles, no longer have the cultural power they had just a few years ago. And with this latest apology — even if it was generated by a PR firm using ChatGPT — it&#8217;s evident that Simone Biles and the rest of the LGBT cult are slowly coming around to the reality of their own irrelevance.

A Washington, D.C., park at the center of this weekend&#8217;s Pride festivities will be closed to prevent the vandalism that occurred in years past.
Dupont Circle Park closed at 6 p.m. on Thursday and will remain closed through about 6 p.m. on Sunday, the National Park Service <a href="https://www.nps.gov/nama/learn/management/dupontcirclerod.htm" target="_blank" rel="noopener">announced</a>.
Early Friday morning, temporary fencing was erected around the park.
The decision comes as after days of back-and-forth between federal and local authorities over the issue, as well as backlash from WorldPride 2025 attendees, who hoped the park would remain open.
Washington, D.C., is hosting WorldPride 2025, which will have a plethora of events from Friday to Sunday. The events <a href="https://worldpridedc.org/events/welcome-center/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">include</a> at least four drag queen story hours including &#8220;Indigenous Drag Story Hour,&#8221; an event about &#8220;Deaf Queer Dating,&#8221; and a talk by a trans-identifying woman titled, &#8220;Propaganda &amp; Transphobia: How Trans People Became the Political Pawn.&#8221;
Dupont Circle Park was closed at the request of the United States Park Police, which said it was necessary to “secure the park, deter potential violence, reduce the risk of destructive acts and decrease the need for extensive law enforcement presences.”
Washington, D.C., Police Chief Pamela Smith originally requested to close the park, but she later <a href="https://www.nps.gov/nama/learn/management/upload/Recession-of-Request-for-Anti-Scale-Fencing-Dupont-Circle-Park-6-3-25.pdf" target="_blank" rel="noopener">withdrew</a> that request &#8220;after hearing from community leaders and residents.&#8221;

However, she noted that in recent years, the park has been vandalized and has seen other violent illegal activity around the time of Pride festivities.
In 2019, gunshots were heard in the park causing people to flee, and a person was arrested. In 2023, the park was vandalized to the tune of $175,000 in damage to a historic fountain. Last year, &#8220;large groups of juveniles&#8221; in the park engaged in &#8220;illegal activities, including drinking alcohol, smoking marijuana, and engaging in fights&#8221; and also &#8220;ran into a local business and stole items,&#8221; the police chief noted in her letter to the Park Police.
The Park Police pushed for a closure anyway, noting that &#8220;the threat of violence, criminal acts and [park] resource destruction&#8221; has &#8220;only increased&#8221; over the last few weeks.
For example, a local DJ was selling tickets to an &#8220;unpermitted gathering/party&#8221; in Dupont Circle after the World Pride events, the Park Police said.
&#8220;This social media advertisement is stating that this is the same DJ and &#8216;party&#8217; as the previous several years, which have resulted in the unsafe conditions and damages recounted above,&#8221; the Park Police <a href="https://www.nps.gov/nama/learn/management/upload/2025-06-03-USPP-Dupont-Circle-Closure-Memo-Update.pdf" target="_blank" rel="noopener">wrote</a> in a June 4 letter to National Park Service leadership.

Dr. Henry Mosley of Johns Hopkins University condemned the “gender ideology” movement, citing the lived experience of his granddaughter, who fell victim to what he describes as “medical malpractice,” IW Features <a href="https://www.iwfeatures.com/profile/johns-hopkins-professor-says-granddaughter-prishas-trans-diagnosis-was-medical-malpractice/">reported</a>.  
Mosley, a physician epidemiologist, and professor emeritus at Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, first realized the dangers of “gender ideology” when his 16-year-old granddaughter Prisha told him she was transgender. As Mosley’s career largely focused on family planning and preventing abortions, controversy was nothing new to him, but he was not keen on accepting his granddaughter&#8217;s “transgender” diagnosis. 
“I called her counselor, who just completely put me off. She said I didn’t know what I was talking about,” Mosley stated to IW Features. “My son, Jonathan Mosley, who’s a physician, also spoke with her, but there was nothing we could do to persuade her that Prisha was mentally ill.”
According to Mosley, Prisha’s counselor was adamant that her distress stemmed from her family not affirming her “trans” identity. Despite this, Mosley observed that Prisha was self-harming, attempting suicide, and “having all kinds of serious mental health problems.” 
The American Medical Association (AMA) <a href="https://journalofethics.ama-assn.org/article/should-mental-health-screening-and-psychotherapy-be-required-prior-body-modification-gender/2016-11">guidelines</a> require mental health screening and psychotherapy for gender-confused patients, the lack of which ultimately led to Prisha’s decline. 
“[Gender ideology] is like a cult or a religion, and you can’t persuade people who have certain religious beliefs that they are contrary to science,” Mosley said.

Like many trans-identifying individuals, Prisha broke away from her family and integrated into a transgender community in Florida. During this time, Mosley kept in communication with her and said he would support her in any way he could. 
“When she broke up with her partner and decided to leave Florida, we helped her,” Mosley said. “She had found a job in Michigan, and we rented her a truck and helped her make the move.”
While living in Michigan, Prisha chose to detransition, and since then, she’s become an advocate, bringing awareness to the dangers of “gender ideology.”
“I’m grateful that people in my family are listening to me and care about the damage that happened,” Prisha told IW Features. “People trust doctors, but recently, doctors working with patients who claim to be trans have been dishonest and harmful.”
Prisha has <a href="https://ncfamily.org/nc-detransitioners-lawsuit-first-to-proceed-in-court/">filed a lawsuit</a> against the medical professionals who pushed her to transition, as have many other detransitioners. Mosley said the underlying issue is money and that the “lawsuits are going to have a huge impact.” 
“Her mental illness was not relieved at all by transition,” Mosley said. “She was told that ‘You’re really a male, and if you just transition, life is going to be good.’ Well, of course, none of her mental health symptoms were alleviated by living as a male.” 
Mosley followed in his granddaughter’s footsteps by becoming an advocate for children vulnerable to this ideology, <a href="https://cnsmaryland.org/2025/03/13/lawmakers-seek-to-ban-gender-affirming-medication-for-minors/">testifying</a> at the Maryland State House and urging lawmakers to ban “gender-affirming care.” He also published an <a href="https://www.baltimoresun.com/2025/03/21/schools-not-the-place-to-discuss-transgender-ideology-reader-commentary/">op-ed</a> in the Baltimore Sun, where he says “gender ideology” should be kept out of schools. 
Unfortunately, Mosley said he has not been able to have an impact on Johns Hopkins, where he says his medical records at the university have been changed from saying “sex” to “sex assigned at birth.” 
“I emailed the CEO of the medical school with a little information about biology, and he never responded,” Mosley said. 
Mosley refers to what happened to his granddaughter and others as “medical malpractice” in the gender medicine field, and he said he will continue to be outspoken about it.

An Illinois YMCA is hosting an LGBT-themed camp for second graders alongside an activist organization that hands out so-called “gender-affirming” clothing items like “tucking underwear” and chest binders to anyone regardless of age. 
The Stephens Family YMCA in Champaign <a href="https://sf-ymca-prod.oneeach.dev/sites/sf-ymca/files/2025-02/Summer%20Camp%20Guide%202025.pdf" target="_blank" rel="noopener">will host</a> “Camp Kaleidoscope,&#8221; a program designed for “LGBTQ+ youth or youth who are part of LGBTQ+ families.” The camp is offered at a “privately rented residential space” in partnership with Uniting Pride of Champaign County, an activist organization that distributes clothing items meant to alter the physical appearance of people who identify as transgender. 
Two sessions will be offered: one for children in second through fifth grades in June, and another for kids in sixth through ninth grade in July. According to its summer camp guide, the program is run “in collaboration” with Uniting Pride, an LGBT “resource center” for Eastern Illinois that leases office space from the University YMCA in Champaign.

“Camp provides children with daily summer adventures that promote a healthy spirit, mind and body in a safe space where campers can meet new friends, learn team building, and experience character growth and development. This camp is a full day camp, which will take place at an offsite location for 5 days,” a description of the camp reads. “The goal of our camp is to experience joy in recreation, while creating a safe environment for youth who are part of the LGBTQ+ community to be authentically themselves.”

The camp is held at a “privately rented residential space and includes woods, trails, a pond, indoor meeting space, indoor recreation, and more.” 
The Daily Wire reached out to the Stephens Family YMCA for further clarification on what role Uniting Pride would have in the camp. 
The American Parents Coalition, which has been leading an <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/parents-sound-alarm-on-ymca-camps-allowing-men-in-girls-showers-and-cabins" target="_blank" rel="noopener">awareness campaign</a> against the YMCA’s embrace of gender ideology and policies encouraging male access to female spaces, said the partnership should trouble parents. 
&#8220;Summer camps are designed for kids to have fun, make new friends, or learn new skills — not as opportunities for the YMCA to push gender ideology on young kids who are away from their parents,” American Parents Coalition Executive Director Alleigh Marré told The Daily Wire. “The YMCA’s ‘Camp Kaleidoscope’ — which partners with a radical LGBTQ+ organization that offers chest binders and other clothes to gender-confused individuals, including youth – ought to deeply concern parents.&#8221;
On its <a href="https://www.unitingpride.org/whats-uniting-pride.html">website</a>, Uniting Pride makes clear that it believes that young people have the “right to privacy and autonomy over their gender or sexual identity” and the “right to express their gender identity in school and utilize all facilities that match their gender identity.” 
Uniting Pride <a href="https://archive.ph/OE0B5#selection-1759.10-1759.176">offers</a> “free binders and waist cinchers for residents of Illinois who want them but are not able to afford them or who are not able to safely purchase them on their own.” They also state that they have “a small amount of tucking underwear available.”
Binders are used to compress the breasts of females to appear more masculine. Tucking underwear is used to obscure male genitalia, and waist cinchers are used to make body shapes appear more masculine or feminine. Uniting Pride notes that its distribution program has no age restrictions. 
“Anyone of any age is welcome to apply,” the organization says on its website, which has a “quick exit” feature, an option that critics have said enables kids to hide access from parents. 
In a <a href="https://archive.ph/7GxH3#selection-761.38-761.88">form</a> provided to request the binders, Uniting Pride asks if an applicant is “able to afford or safely purchase a binder on your own” and offers to send new binder users information “about how to properly wear and care for your binder.”
The organization notes that it accepts “used gender-affirming items” as long as they are “generally good condition and be free of stains and scents of any kind.”
The organization also holds a <a href="https://www.unitingpride.org/read-up.html">stash</a> of transgender-themed books aimed at young people such as “A Kids Book about Being Transgender,” “A Kids Book about Being Non-Binary,” “A Tale of Two Mommies,” “Being Jazz,” “Drag Teen,” and the sexually explicit “Gender Queer.” 
The Stephens Family YMCA, which claims it has a mission of “putting Christian principles into practice,” says in its handbook that its access to private facilities is determined by gender identity. 
“All members will have access to restroom and locker room facilities that correspond to their self-identified, self-reported gender identity to the extent permitted by applicable law,” the <a href="https://sf-ymca-prod.oneeach.dev/sites/sf-ymca/files/2025-01/Membership%20handbook%202025%20NEW.pdf" target="_blank" rel="noopener">handbook</a> says. 
The YMCA has recently come under fire from conservative groups over its endorsement of its affiliates allowing access to showers, locker rooms, and overnight facilities on the basis of gender identity. The YMCA <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/ymca-scrubs-transgender-guidance-after-parent-group-raises-alarm" target="_blank" rel="noopener">scrubbed</a> or hid a plethora of transgender-themed resources from its website last week after the American Parents Coalition launched its campaign.
“Camp Kaleidoscope&#8217;s partnership with these activist organizations is yet another indictment of the YMCA&#8217;s unacceptable prioritization of gender ideology over children’s safety,” Marré told The Daily Wire.

The Supreme Court ruled in favor of an Ohio woman who claimed to be the victim of so-called reverse discrimination on Thursday, making it easier for people across the country who are members of majority groups to sue for discrimination.
The unanimous ruling <a href="https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/2025/06/05/workplace-discrimination-supreme-court-decision/?utm_source=chatgpt.com">puts an end</a> to a standard used in 20 states and the District of Columbia that imposed a higher burden of proof on white, male, and straight individuals who claimed to be the victims of discrimination on the basis of those identities.
That standard was applied in the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals, which includes Ohio, Kentucky, Tennessee, and Michigan, as well as in other federal courts.
The ruling was a win for Marlean Ames, a 20-year veteran of the Ohio Department of Youth Services who said that she was denied a promotion and then demoted for being straight, while both the person who received the promotion and took her old job identified as LGBT.
Ames said that she didn’t know she’d be held to a different standard in her attempt to prove her discrimination claim, while her lawyer argued that the application of different standards on the basis of demographic characteristics was in violation of the Civil Rights Act.
“Little did I know at the time that I filed that my burden was going to be harsher than somebody else’s burden to prove my case,” Ames explained in a previous interview. “I want people to try and understand that we’re trying to make this a level playing field for everyone. Not just for a White woman in Ohio.”

The case comes against the backdrop of the national fight over the diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) agenda, which corporations and educational institutions adopted en masse in 2020 and the following years.
Many of these DEI policies, The Daily Wire has documented, have resulted in discrimination targeting white, male, and Asian applicants.

A music ensemble that has received federal funding <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/music-ensemble-hosts-bipoc-internship-barring-white-applicants-citing-systemic-allyship">discriminated</a> against whites in its “BIPOC internship,” citing its commitment to “systemic allyship.”
Even the Biden administration’s Department of Defense created a <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/exclusive-biden-harris-admin-paid-consultants-millions-to-help-military-implement-race-based-hiring-combat-resistance-to-dei">discriminatory job pipeline</a> that offered preferential treatment to women and non-white students seeking employment in the Pentagon. The program had to be amended in the wake of the Supreme Court’s ruling against affirmative action.

The accompanying photo showed a gigantic progress pride flag, which includes an arrow of colors to represent “people of color” and the trans community.

Even if Trump&#8217;s order to cut funding to PBS and NPR goes through, &#8220;Sesame Street&#8221; and its 55 seasons will likely remain on TV for years to come. After Trump moved to cut off federal funding to PBS, Netflix <a href="https://www.netflix.com/tudum/articles/sesame-street-release-date-news">announced</a> that it struck a deal with &#8220;Sesame Street&#8221; to stream the children&#8217;s show on its platform. New episodes of &#8220;Sesame Street&#8221; were previously streamed on HBO until HBO&#8217;s parent company, Warner Bros. Discovery, let the deal with the show <a href="https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/business/business-news/hbo-cancels-sesame-street-licensing-deal-show-streaming-service-1235985075/">expire</a> last year. HBO still streams older episodes of the children&#8217;s show.

‘Sesame Street,’ The Iconic PBS Show Targeting Toddlers, Goes All In On ‘Pride’ Month

“Pride Month” is just around the corner *sigh* — but under the second Trump administration and after the recent backlash to woke companies, questions swirl around how crazy June will get this year. And there’s a hope that maybe — just maybe — the rainbow weirdness won’t show up everywhere you turn your head. 
Multiple large companies have pulled out of annual “Pride” parades that take place in cities across the country. Mastercard, Citi, Pepsi, and Nissan will not sponsor the parade in New York City this year. Meanwhile, Anheuser-Busch and Comcast ended their sponsorship of the San Francisco “Pride” parade, Axios <a href="https://www.axios.com/2025/05/08/pride-month-sponsorship-decline-2025">reported</a>. 
It appears that LGBT celebrations could be tamed down this June, at least on the corporate side of things, but here are some companies that could still push the “Pride” messaging:
<h3>Harry’s</h3>
Last year, Harry’s — the razor company whose defense of gender insanity sparked the launch of Jeremy’s Razors — <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/harrys-sends-another-bag-of-cash-to-group-promoting-radical-gender-theory">sent</a> a bag of cash to the Trevor Project, an activist organization that has been blasted for running a <a href="https://www.trevorspace.org/">chat room</a> where minors can talk to peers and adults about their sexuality. 
“Pride Month may be coming to a close, but that doesn’t mean the work stops here. We believe it’s important to support the LGBTQ+ community and take care of ourselves every day, which is why we partner with The Trevor Project all year round,” Harry’s <a href="https://www.instagram.com/p/C82E5umtRAB/">said</a> in June 2024. 
In prior years, Harry’s has <a href="https://www.wallpaper.com/beauty-grooming/harrys-new-digital-platform-celebrates-pride">unveiled</a> special edition “Pride” shaving sets.
All signs point toward another colorful June for Harry’s. You’ve been warned. 
<h3>Apple</h3>
It’s not even June, and the California-based tech company has already jumped into the “Pride” festivities, introducing its “Pride Collection” earlier this month. 
“Ahead of Pride Month, Apple is introducing a new Apple Watch Pride Edition Sport Band, watch face, and iPhone and iPad wallpaper to celebrate the strength and beauty of LGBTQ+ communities around the world,” Apple <a href="https://www.apple.com/newsroom/2025/05/apple-introduces-the-2025-pride-collection/">said</a>. 
Apple also sent out free “<a href="https://www.vice.com/en/article/apples-new-2025-edition-pride-wallpapers-arrive-today/">Pride Month Wallpapers</a>” to its users, allowing them to wrap their phone displays in the colors of the “Pride Flag.” 
<h3>Nike</h3>
In 2024, Nike scaled back its “Pride” month push for the first time in years as companies faced backlash over their woke talking points. The company has long pushed its “Be True” collection during “Pride Month,” but paused it in 2024. 
&#8220;While there is no global Be True product collection for 2024, Nike remains deeply committed to this work,&#8221; the apparel company <a href="https://www.cbsnews.com/news/pride-month-campaigns-2024-major-brands-scaled-back-why-that-matters/">stated</a>. 
Will Nike revert to its old woke ways and push its “Pride” promotion this year? It appears that Nike is already doing that. The company recently <a href="https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/lifestyle/shopping/nike-pride-shoes-2025-by-courtney-vandersloot-allie-quigley-1236231305/">released</a> “Pride-inspired” shoes in collaboration with the WNBA lesbian couple, Courtney Vandersloot and Allie Quigley. 
<h3>Procter &amp; Gamble</h3>
The parent company of popular personal care brands such as Gillette, Head &amp; Shoulders, and Old Spice, wasn’t quiet about its support for LGBT issues last year. In June 2024, P&amp;G <a href="https://us.pg.com/blogs/pride-month/">called</a> “Pride Month” a “culmination of our unwavering commitment to create an inclusive environment where anyone, regardless of their sexual orientation or gender identity, can forge a meaningful career.”
Last year, P&amp;G <a href="https://us.pg.com/blogs/pride-month/">celebrated</a> “the 30th anniversary of GABLE, P&amp;G’s LGBTQ+ global employee resource group, spanning over 50 countries with 5,000 LGBTQ+ and ally members worldwide.” The company <a href="https://us.pg.com/blogs/pride-month/">runs</a> a huge “programming effort” called “Can’t Cancel Pride,” which P&amp;G says provides “much needed visibility and funding for six LGBTQ+ organizations to continue their transformative work of supporting the LGBTQ+ community.” Among the organizations recognized by P&amp;G in 2024 were the leftist groups GLAAD and the Trevor Project.

A lot of questions are swirling around Target, which has been at the forefront of the DEI pushback. In 2023, Target was <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/target-to-offer-pride-merchandise-in-fewer-stores-after-backlash-against-tuck-friendly-swimsuit-sale-last-year">blasted</a> for offering “tuck-friendly” female swimsuits, which led to boycotts and sinking sales. After the backlash, Target scaled back its “Pride” displays in June 2024, only offering “Pride” merchandise at a limited number of stores. Then, earlier this year, Target <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/target-rolls-back-dei-joining-other-major-companies-like-walmart-meta">announced</a> that it was rolling back some of its DEI initiatives, which included focusing investments in black-owned businesses. Now, Target will no longer focus on diversity when choosing suppliers.
The company is now taking flak from the Left over its decision to dial it back on the woke messaging. So will Target jump back into the thick of “Pride” month this year? We’ll have to find out.

Misgendering is now officially an illegal, discriminatory act under Colorado law.
On Friday, the state&#8217;s Democratic governor, Jared Polis, quietly signed the &#8220;Concerning Legal Protections for Transgender Individuals&#8221; without issuing a statement or holding a ceremony.
The law is drastically pared down from its original version, which declared that parents in custody battles who misgender or “deadname” their child were guilty of “coercive control” and could lose their child. Under Colorado law, &#8220;coercive control&#8221; is a serious category that <a href="https://frascona.com/sweeping-new-domestic-abuse-laws-for-divorcing-couples-unmarried-couples-and-children/">includes</a> things like threatening to kill someone.
But that provision is not in the bill Polis signed, thanks to Colorado parents, who came out in force to fight it. More than 700 Coloradans signed up to testify against the bill, and tens of thousands more signed petitions against it.
Ultimately, Democrats were forced to strike the radical custody battle language before the bill became law. Some Democrat lawmakers even backed down and refused to vote for the measure unless the child custody clause was removed.
Still, the new law bars Colorado courts from cooperating with other states with laws that protect children from parents who want to give them transgender hormones or surgeries. It also requires schools that have dress codes to allow transgender-identifying students wear the school uniform of the opposite gender.
The bill also allows people to change the gender marker on their driver&#8217;s license three times, up from just once.
&#8220;This bill was an attack on parental rights,&#8221; Colorado House Minority Leader Rose Pugliese told The Daily Wire.
&#8220;And what we saw were people rising up, which I think is great. Our grassroots movement was really strong, and parents came out,&#8221; she said. &#8220;This is an issue that transcends party lines. It doesn&#8217;t matter if you&#8217;re a Republican, a Democrat, or unaffiliated. Nobody wants the government to be raising our children or telling us how to raise our children.&#8221;
Pugliese said Colorado&#8217;s Democratic majority was able to use House rules to &#8220;shut our voices down,&#8221; explaining that they did not have the usual number of hours to debate the bill.
Democrats introduced the bill <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/radical-transgender-bill-in-colorado-its-coercive-control-to-not-affirm-childs-gender-identity" target="_blank" rel="noopener">quietly</a> — late on a Friday evening in March — and quickly pushed it through committee, forcing Republicans and parental rights advocates to scramble to organize testimony and protests.
&#8220;So I think that also engaged people because they felt like even their representatives couldn&#8217;t have that conversation,&#8221; Pugliese said. &#8220;I think by the time it got to the Senate, between the national attention that it received and how much attention we received for our voices being silenced by the majority, people were definitely way more engaged.&#8221;
However, &#8220;bad bills never go away,&#8221; she warned.
&#8220;It is just a building block for where they really want to go in the future,&#8221; she said, urging parents to continue speaking out because &#8220;your voices are so needed at the Capitol.&#8221;

During heated debate on the House floor, Republicans warned Democrats that Colorado parents would not go quietly.
&#8220;When you tell a parent they can&#8217;t have their child because they&#8217;re not affirming that, you&#8217;re going to see a state blow up,&#8221; State Representative Scott Bottoms, a Republican, said on the floor as the bill was debated.
&#8220;It’s going to blow up in this state when you start taking kids from their parents. They&#8217;re not going to allow that to continue,&#8221; Bottoms warned.

But the fight is not over yet, parental rights advocates say.
Erin Lee, executive director of Protect Kids Colorado, warned that Colorado family courts already favor the parent who affirms a child&#8217;s transgender identity.
&#8220;I’ve worked with a handful of dads here in Colorado and in other states whose exes have come to Colorado specifically for those protections, knowing that the family court system will always side with the parent who is affirming of the new identity,&#8221; Lee told The Daily Wire.

Lee and her husband previously <a href="https://www.iwfeatures.com/profile/colorado-mom-sues-school-district-after-daughter-was-pushed-into-trans-identity/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">sued</a> her 12-year-old daughter’s Colorado school district for allegedly secretly transitioning her. She cautioned that Child Protective Services can even be &#8220;weaponized&#8221; against two-parent homes that are not affirming of a child&#8217;s transgender identity, not just custody situations.
Lee also explained that, ironically, parental rights advocates might have been able to fight the bill in court if the child custody clause had been left in.
&#8220;What they’ve done now is they’ve made it even harder for us to stop what’s already practiced here in Colorado,&#8221; she said.
However, Lee said she thinks the transgender discrimination bill was a major turning point.
&#8220;[I think] we will see lawsuits, we will see ballot measures, we will see people not complying with the law across the board, and we’ll see organization of these grassroots orgs like we’ve never seen before in Colorado. I do think it’s the turning point,&#8221; she said.
Pastor J. Chase Davis of The Well Church in Boulder organized two rallies at the Colorado State Capitol against the transgender bill, and he agreed that the fight is far from over.
&#8220;The House Democrats all voted in favor of the pre-amended version of this bill, so their agenda is out in the open, the cat’s out of the bag, they’ve let known their intentions,&#8221; Davis told The Daily Wire.
&#8220;And here’s the deal, they’ve already been running this play in multiple places in Colorado, Jefferson County, down in Durango,&#8221; Davis noted.
In Durango earlier this year, one mother <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/colorado-lgbt-activist-teacher-trans-husband-house-minor-teen-girl-against-moms-wishes" target="_blank" rel="noopener">found</a> the police would not help her retrieve her 17-year-old daughter from the house of her daughter’s former math teacher and trans-identifying husband, who had taken the girl into her home.
In Jefferson County, school officials allegedly helped a 17-year-old girl lie on a federal form that she was homeless and hid it from her parents so she could move in with a teacher with whom she had an inappropriate relationship, <a href="https://www.cbsnews.com/colorado/news/officials-at-one-colorado-school-district-help-student-declare-herself-homeless-before-moving-in-with-teacher/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">according</a> to investigators.
&#8220;Christians need to get involved. We don’t need to be afraid of getting involved politically. We don’t need to be afraid of all the names they’re going to call you. Just stand for God’s truth, stand for the truth of reality in the public square, and I think there’s a lot of positive momentum that can come from that, and I think we can be an inspiration to one another,&#8221; Davis said.
Colorado has other controversial bills on transgender ideology coming down the pike.
A bill that was <a href="https://leg.colorado.gov/bills/hb25-1309">sent</a> to the governor last week but is not yet signed bans health insurers from limiting so-called “necessary” transgender medical services like hormone treatments and surgeries.

The Biden administration’s global ambassador for all things LGBT was a travel diva with no regard for cost, who even got smacked down for &#8220;inappropriate&#8221; spending requests as she traveled on the government dime, of emails obtained by The Daily Wire reveal.
The emails show that Jessica Stern, the Biden State Department’s Special Envoy to Advance the Human Rights of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, and Intersex Persons, failed to report travel expenses on time, requested a costly car for a week in Rome, and berated staff for missing vegetarian meals on her flights as she jetted around the world pushing far-left ideology, according to a batch of emails obtained by The Daily Wire.
Stern raked in $180,000 a year as her state-sanctioned LGBT <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/meet-the-biden-official-making-six-figures-to-travel-the-globe-pushing-transgenderism">activism</a> took her to all six habitable continents, with stops in places like Fiji and Brazil, where she traveled on the taxpayer dime to march alongside a “transvestite sl*t,” a previous <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/meet-the-biden-official-making-six-figures-to-travel-the-globe-pushing-transgenderism">Daily Wire exposé</a> found.
Documents reviewed by The Daily Wire, obtained by the <a href="https://advancing-america.org/">Center to Advance Security in America</a> (CASA), show that Stern, who <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/state-department-lgbt-racial-equity-envoy-profiles-scrubbed-after-trump-takes-office">left her post</a> after President Donald Trump&#8217;s re-election, failed to even report her travel expenses on time. The envoy, who said in her emails that she identifies with “all pronouns,” even admitted that she didn’t know where she would find her expenses after a State Department official asked for her accounting.
“We are still waiting on last year’s accounting for travel from your office … before approving further travel,” wrote a State Department official whose name is redacted in October 2022. “We have every other office except yours. I have asked several times and no one has provided. Please do so as soon as possible.”

Stern then wrote to a different State Department official and made a stunning admission. “I don’t read all of her messages but I don’t recall seeing multiple requests for our expenses,” Stern wrote. “I also don’t know where we would get our expenses.”

The documents also show that, about a year after the expense reporting mishap, Stern was admonished after she requested a costly rental car for a week in Rome.
An email from a State Department staffer to Stern indicates that the LGBT envoy was originally set to get a rental van in Rome for a week at the cost of $7,000, but that the plan was shot down because of the excessive cost. Stern then hoped to get a rental car for $3,000 to $4,000.
“Sorry for the hassle and expense. This is a stupid way to spend money,” Stern admitted in an email to <a href="https://2021-2025.state.gov/biographies/christopher-le-mon/">Christopher Le Mon</a>, the former Deputy Assistant Secretary of Democracy, Human Rights, and Labor. “Apparently there aren&#8217;t options due to a taxi shortage. Do you think we could swing $3-4K for a car?”
Le Mon shot down the proposal. “No, I do not think that $3k for a car for five days can be supported. We have asked offices to cut entire trips,” he said in an email. “The overall climate we are in is one of cost consciousness.”

Then another State Department official pushed Le Mon to give his approval. “Emb Rome has been able to shave SE Stern&#8217;s costs down and is urging me to find out today whether the updated transportation estimates would work,” the unnamed State Department staffer wrote. “Could you authorize the hotel-airport transfers?”
Le Mon denied the ask for the costly car again and called the request “inappropriate.”
“Apologies for not being clearer earlier: I&#8217;m not going to approve standby transportation in Rome in this budget environment,” Le Mon said in response. “To again make the point I made earlier, there have been DRL trips disapproved where the entire cost of the trip was less than $4000.”
“It&#8217;s inappropriate to keep asking for several thousand dollars for a car,” Le Mon admonished Stern.
“Airport transfers and ground transportation can be done by taxi or Uber the same way other DRL principals traveling to European capitals have done,” he added. “I apologize but I do not have time for further back and forth on this question.”

In another exchange over travel arrangements, Stern berated State Department staff in an “urgent” message about her vegetarian meal preferences.
“This is urgent,” Biden’s LGBT activist wrote. “I have taken many flights since I have joined the State Department, and the airlines have repeatedly had no record of my vegetarian meal.”
“This is a serious problem,” she added.“I ask you to assure me that my vegetarian meal has been ordered for my flights this week, and I ask you to confirm how this can be corrected moving forward.”

An unnamed State Department staffer sprung into action in a follow up email. “I have added the requests for the vegetarian meals to the reservations you currently have booked.”
It is unclear if Stern successfully received her vegetarian meals on subsequent flights. She did not respond to a request for comment.
“Biden State Department LGBT Special Envoy Jessica Stern repeatedly advocated for excessive taxpayer resources to travel the world in luxury,” CASA Director James Fitzpatrick told The Daily Wire. “The Trump administration has since eliminated Stern’s position and the Biden era of using government resources for LGBT advocacy is over.”
While the documents don’t outline how much money was spent on Stern’s travel, one spreadsheet shows that Stern and another State Department official working to advance the Biden administration’s LGBT agenda dropped almost $42,000 in taxpayer funds over roughly five months.
Those funds went towards everything from interpreters to an “overtime photographer” on her trips to Peru, Nepal, Hungary, and other countries across the world.
“While the working men and women of this country were struggling, Stern was asking for more of their money for a private car and a photographer.&#8221; Fitzpatrick said. &#8220;The American people are sick and tired of this type of irresponsible behavior from their government officials.&#8221;
Since leaving the State Department, Stern has “rejoined the resistance” and is working to <a href="https://www.washingtonblade.com/2025/04/01/former-us-envoy-for-global-lgbtq-intersex-rights-slams-trump/">create</a> a leftwing organization to oppose the Trump administration. She’s also teaching a new generation of activists at Columbia University in a <a href="https://doc.sis.columbia.edu/subj/INAF/U6376-20251-001/">seminar</a> that “offers students an opportunity to reflect, in-depth, on the challenges and opportunities of working on LGBTI rights transnationally.”
