I have <a href="https://jonathanturley.org/2025/10/16/sixth-circuit/">previously written</a> about D.A. v. Tri-County Area Schools, one of the worst free speech decisions to come out of the appellate courts in years. In this case, the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit upheld a school ban on high school students wearing “Let’s Go Brandon!” sweatshirts. Sixth Circuit Judge John Nalbandian was joined by Judge Karen Nelson Moore in a deeply flawed holding that, under the “vulgarity exception,” the action was constitutional. The Supreme Court needs to grant review in this case and reverse this obnoxious decision.
As previously discussed, “Let’s Go Brandon!” has become a similarly unintended political battle cry not just against Biden but also against media bias. It derives from an Oct. 2 interview with race-car driver <a href="https://thehill.com/person/brandon-brown">Brandon Brown</a> after he won his first NASCAR Xfinity Series race. During the interview, NBC reporter Kelli Stavast’s questions were drowned out by loud and clear chants of “F*** Joe Biden.” Stavast quickly and inexplicably declared, “You can hear the chants from the crowd, ‘Let’s go, Brandon!’”
“Let’s Go Brandon!” instantly became a type of <a href="https://jonathanturley.org/2021/11/05/yankee-doodling-the-media-how-lets-go-brandon-became-a-rallying-cry-against-news-bias/">“Yankee Doodling” of the political and media establishment.</a>
In this case, an assistant principal (Andrew Buikema) and a teacher (Wendy Bradford) “ordered the boys to remove the sweatshirts” for allegedly breaking the school dress code. However, other students were allowed to wear political apparel supporting other causes, including “gay-pride-themed hoodies.”
The district dress code states the following:

Students and parents have the right to determine a student’s dress, except when the school administration determines a student’s dress is in conflict with state policy, is a danger to the students’ health and safety, is obscene, is disruptive to the teaching and/or learning environment by calling undue attention to oneself. The dress code may be enforced by any staff member.
</blockquote>
The district reserves the right to bar any clothing “with messages or illustrations that are lewd, indecent, vulgar, or profane, or that advertise any product or service not permitted by law to minors.”
The funny thing about this action is that the slogan is not profane. To the contrary, it substitutes non-profane words for profane words. Nevertheless, “D.A.” was stopped in the hall by Buikema and told that his “Let’s Go Brandon!” sweatshirt was equivalent to “the f–word.”
The district court showed an equally dismissive view of the free speech rights of these students, including that the phrase could “reasonably be interpreted” as profane. That was upheld by the Sixth Circuit in its 2-1 decision.
Judge John Bush offered an excellent dissent, stating:

[T]he speech here—”Let’s Go Brandon!”—is neither vulgar nor profane on its face, and therefore does not fall into [the Fraser] exception. To the contrary, the phrase is purely political speech. It criticizes a political official—the type of expression that sits “at the core of what the First Amendment is designed to protect.” No doubt, its euphemistic meaning was offensive to some, particularly those who supported President Biden. But offensive political speech is allowed in school, so long as it does not cause disruption under Tinker. As explained below, Tinker is the standard our circuit applied to cases involving Confederate flag T-shirts and a hat depicting an AR-15 rifle—depictions arguably more offensive than “Let’s Go Brandon!” …
The majority says the sweatshirts’ slogan is crude. But neither the phrase itself nor any word in it has ever been bleeped on television, radio, or other media. Not one of the “seven words you can never say on television” appears in it . Instead, the phrase has been used to advance political arguments, primarily in opposition to President Biden’s policies and secondarily to complain about the way liberal-biased media treats conservatives. It serves as a coded critique—a sarcastic catchphrase meant to express frustration, resentment, and discontent with political opponents. The phrase has been used by members of Congress during debate. And even President Biden himself, attempting to deflect criticism, “agreed” with the phrase.
We cannot lose sight of a key fact: the students’ sweatshirts do not say “F*ck Joe Biden.” Instead, they bear a sanitized phrase made famous by sports reporter Kelli Stavast while interviewing NASCAR race winner Brandon Brown at the Talladega Superspeedway. The reporter said the crowd behind them was yelling “Let’s go, Brandon!” She did not report the vulgar phrase that was actually being chanted. The Majority even concedes Stavast may have used the sanitized phrase to “put a fig leaf over the chant’s vulgarity.” That is telling….

The Sixth Circuit opinion constitutes a significant infringement on the free speech rights of students. I readily admit that I am critical of some past cases, including Morse v. Frederick, 551 U.S. 393 (2007), where the Supreme Court ruled 5-4 that the Juneau-Douglas High School could suspend student Joseph Frederick after he displayed a banner reading “BONG HiTS 4 JESUS” across the street from the school during the 2002 Winter Olympics torch relay. In my view, the courts have honored Tinker largely in the breach in such cases.

In a moment ripped straight from the sidelines at Talladega, Governor Kathy Hochul claimed on Monday that when a crowd of New Yorkers began chanting &#8220;Tax the rich!&#8221; at a rally for mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani, all she&#8217;d heard was, &#8220;Let&#8217;s go Bills!&#8221;
Hochul gave the implausible explanation when she was asked about the chanting and whether she would stand firm on not raising taxes despite Mamdani&#8217;s repeated calls for higher taxes on wealthy New Yorkers — and on corporations that do business in the city, whether they are located within the city limits or not.

When you&#8217;re up there, I heard some noise. I heard a lot of cheers. But later on it became clear to me that there&#8217;s a — I know there&#8217;s a passion for that.&#8221;

Hochul left out the fact that she was in New York City at the time — where they have two NFL teams — and therefore a little over six hours away from Buffalo, New York, by car. She went on to say that she really hoped Democrats could harness the &#8220;energy&#8221; behind those cheers in order to win back control of the House in the 2026 midterm elections.
Rep. Elise Stefanik (R-NY) shot back, &#8220;The #BillsMafia won’t forget. What a trainwreck @KathyHochul is every single day.&#8221;

Musicians supercharged the turbulent ‘60s with a very groovy soundtrack.
The times were a changin’, and artists responded with some stellar protest songs.
No matter your politics, tracks like “A Change Is Gonna Come” by Sam Cooke, “Fortunate Son” by Creedence Clearwater Revival, and “Respect” by Aretha Franklin proved timely and timeless.
Today, the music industry still cranks out the occasional protest ditty, but they typically hail from the Left. And, in most cases, they don’t break out in popular culture.
Is anyone humming Pink’s “<a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/pink-bashes-supreme-court-trump-and-guns-with-angry-new-single-irrelevant">Irrelevant</a>” beyond the folks on her tour bus? 
Now, though, right-leaning artists are picking up the slack. These songs can’t be heard on terrestrial radio, and “Saturday Night Live” most likely won’t be showcasing them between its hard left-leaning sketches.
Nevertheless, these songs still leave a serious mark, bumping aside superstars like Lizzo and Adele in the process. One draws so much satirical blood it’s amazing the song’s target didn’t enter the Witness Protection Program.
Either way, they offer both a welcome balance and a sense that the whole “power to the people” cry still matters.
<h4>Five Times August</h4>
This talented singer/songwriter (real name: Brad Skistimas) enjoys some mainstream success via his extensive TV show and commercial work. He’s appeared on FOX Business and Billboard Magazine, but it’s his satirical songs that deserve greater attention.
Tracks like “I Will Not Be Leaving Quietly,” “This Just In,” and “Fight for You” showcase his abilities, and his sonic assault on Dr. Anthony Fauci may be his most incendiary, and richly rewarding, song to date.
“<a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UsANoiJa9Uc">Sad Little Man</a>,” accompanied by a killer video with echoes of Terry Gilliam’s Monty Python artwork, eviscerates the nation’s best-paid bureaucrat.
Sad little man but he&#8217;s treated like a God 
As the faithless pray to a fake and a fraud 
Worship the man, pledge to his word 
One shot, two shot, now you get a third
<h4>Tom MacDonald</h4>
The rapper isn’t conservative or liberal, but his anti-woke spirit speaks directly to Red State USA. It’s hard to pick just one MacDonald song that undresses the identity politics crowd. He’s deflated the progressive movement with “Fake Woke,” “WhiteBoy,” and “Straight White Male.”
His hit song “<a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fCMwlorNEZk">Snowflakes</a>” perfectly captures his inner protest singer.
I hear &#8217;em preaching at a protest that hatred&#8217;s the problem 
But hating straight men, white folks, and Christians is common 
Coca Cola telling people they should be less white 
They preaching tolerance but if you disagree, they fight 
There&#8217;s a race war here, elections based on fear 
Black lives only matter once every four years
MacDonald’s music videos routinely rack millions of views and often rise to the top of the <a href="https://www.prnewswire.com/news-releases/tom-macdonald-moves-enough-albums-to-top-billboard-at-1-but-data-collection-agency-wont-respond-301500821.html">modern charts</a>.
<h4>John Rich </h4>
The country superstar isn’t known for his protest songs, but that all changed in 2022. The singer, part of the Big and Rich duo, uncorked a whopper of a track that instantly caught fire. Those flames didn’t ignite on the radio, broadcast television, or even Twitter.
Rich promoted “<a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v6tOAafAJCA">Progress</a>” on both Rumble and Truth Social, two platforms that embrace free speech principles.
The result? “Progress” soared to the number one spot on Apple iTunes music chart, knocking <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/woke-vs-patriotism-lizzo-and-john-rich-both-have-1-songs-right-now-but-who-wins">Lizzo down a peg in the process</a>.
They shut down our pipelines 
And they shut down our voices 
They shut down our main streets 
And they shut down our choices 
They bent us all over 
But it&#8217;s all over now 
&#8216;Cause we&#8217;ve figured it out 
We ain&#8217;t backing down
<h4>Five for Fighting</h4>
John Ondrasik’s musical alter ego gave us smashes like “Superman (It’s Not Easy)” and “100 Years.” The hockey devotee leans to the Right, but his music hardly reflects that world view. He’s also an unlikely artist to embrace the protest song ethos. 
Things changed after he watched the heartbreaking headlines generated by President Joe Biden’s disastrous Afghanistan withdrawal. The news proved so awful even the corrupt mainstream press couldn’t cover for Biden. 
Ondrasik has deep ties to the military community, and when he had learned of even more devastating news tied to the withdrawal, he had had enough.
He wrote “<a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e4TUAYg0UCw">Blood on My Hands</a>,” a withering takedown of Team Biden, and released it on YouTube.

Flag of the Taliban 
Over Afghanistan 
General Austin, is there no honor in shame? 
Can you spell Bagram without the letters in blame? 
Did uncle Joe stick a drip in your veins?
To no one’s surprise <a href="https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-10380487/Youtube-removes-singer-songwriter-John-Ondrasiks-Blood-Hands-video-slammed-Biden.html">YouTube censored the song</a>, claiming the Taliban-related imagery accompanying the track wasn’t appropriate. Ondrasik had put up his own “graphic warning” label on the video and applauded YouTube for doing the same after they added a child content restriction. His hands stopped clapping, though, when the Google-owned platform removed the clip. YouTube eventually restored the video.
<h4>Bryson Gray</h4>
The conservative rapper sensed the time was right to put a melody behind the “Let’s Go Brandon” chant. <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wlHR7M-1fX4">His song</a> of the same name did more than that. It earned Gray a YouTube strike for so-called “medical misinformation,” but that didn’t stop it from hitting the <a href="https://www.kusi.com/lets-go-brandon-becomes-number-one-song-on-itunes-hip-hop-chart/">no. 1 spot on iTunes charts.</a>

The rapper, whose song ranked higher than a new ditty from Adele, thanked YouTube for <a href="https://nypost.com/2021/10/27/lets-go-brandon-rapper-bryson-grays-banned-anti-biden-song-is-no-1/">making his song soar even higher</a>:
“Cancel culture doesn’t work anymore. It only works on people who are scared … all it does is help me out. Thanks, YouTube!”
<h4>Buddy Brown</h4>
This country crooner went to Nashville to start his music career, but the suits said he shouldn’t sing about conservative themes. Brown took his guitar and left, forging his own indie career via YouTube.
Now, his videos rack on millions of views, and he’s able to speak his mind sans filter. Brown’s political songs are silly and smart, puckish but not mean-spirited. With “<a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tKk_e_-b7z8">We Gotta Be Less White</a>,” he takes Coca-Cola to task for its woke agenda.

&#8216;Cause liberals gone wild and they lost their minds

Earlier this week, Biden strolled on to a White House set to tape a brief address. &#8220;All right,&#8221; he said as he gingerly pulled a chair out from a desk and sat down.
&#8220;Brandon, how are you? Can you hear me?&#8221; he said. After a few seconds, someone off screen can be heard saying, &#8220;Yes sir. Thank you.&#8221;
&#8220;Good to have you, pal,&#8221; Biden said to Brandon.

The brief clip brings to mind the phrase &#8220;Let&#8217;s Go Brandon!&#8221; The phrase was born when NASCAR driver Brandon Brown, 28, won a race on October 2, 2021, at Talladega Superspeedway in Alabama and NBC Sports reporter Kelli Stavast confused the crowd jeering “F*** Joe Biden” for “Let’s Go Brandon!”
The chant quickly exploded across the U.S., with college football crowds booming out the refrain in unison as they gathered by the thousands in huge stadiums.
“This holiday weekend, as the Old Row Sports Twitter account extensively documented, saw many appearances of both versions of the chant, ranging from that preferred by Christian conservatives at Jerry-Fallwell-founded Liberty University to the much-earthier version, including one spelled out on the type of sign normally seen at road-construction sites,” The Western Journal <a href="https://twitter.com/OldRowSports/status/1447348992656957443">reported</a> in October.
The chant has been spreading ever since, and <a href="https://www.outkick.com/f-k-joe-biden-chants-are-taking-over-college-football-spreads-to-baseball/">Outkick</a> chronicled the explosion:
<blockquote>Fans chanting “F–k Joe Biden” at stadiums from Tennessee to Alabama to Oxford, Mississippi is quickly becoming the battle cry for football fans across the country as the citizens of this country continue to show disobedience to the great [Emperor] and his presidency.
The big news this week with the “F–k Joe Biden” chant movement is that it has spread from college football and into the baseball community, where New Yorkers chanted “F–k Joe Biden” during Fox Sports’ weekend coverage of the Subway Series. Fans could be heard sending a message to Biden as ARod and Big Papi dissected the Yankees-Mets game.</blockquote>
On October 5, an irritated Biden reacted to a chilly reception in Michigan, where some 500 protesters gathered during his visit there, many holding signs that said “f*** Joe Biden” and “Stop the Spending.”
“Not withstanding some of the signs I saw coming in … that’s why 81 million Americans voted for me,” Biden said.
After Biden was hit with the phrase on a Christmas eve call to parents and children, NBC News <a href="https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/white-house/parent-uses-right-wing-slur-during-biden-call-norad-santa-n1286595">dubbed</a> it a “right-wing slur.”
“President Joe Biden was subjected to a right-wing anti-Biden slur during a Christmas Eve call with NORAD’s Santa tracker,” the network said in a story posted online.
“Biden and the first lady were speaking with families around the country who had called into the North American Aerospace Defense Command to receive an update on Santa’s location when one parent ended the conversation by saying: ‘Let’s go Brandon.’ The president did not appear to recognize that the phrase is used by the right wing as a euphemism for ‘F*** Joe Biden,’ and responded: ‘Let’s go Brandon, I agree,’” NBC reported.

An Alabama man who ordered a personalized &#8220;Let&#8217;s Go Brandon&#8221; themed license plate has been told he must change it or lose his vehicle&#8217;s registration.

“Nothing about it is right,” Kirk said regarding the letter from the state&#8217;s Department of Revenue. “Someone at Montgomery, I’m assuming, doesn’t like it, and now they’re throwing a fit.”
The letter, sent to his wife Courtney Kirk since her name was on the title of the vehicle, demanded the licence plate changed within 10 days, claiming the lettering licesnse plate&#8217;s letter of &#8220;LGBFJB&#8221; is &#8220;objectionable content.&#8221;
“The Alabama Department of Revenue, Motor Vehicle Division, has determined the above referenced license plate contains objectionable language which is considered by the Department to be offensive to the peace and dignity of the State of Alabama,” the letter reportedly stated.
Kirk said he paid $700 for the personalized lettering on his &#8220;Don&#8217;t Tread on Me&#8221; plate in October 2021. The report noted Kirk is considering legal action on First Amendment grounds.
The license plate&#8217;s lettering referring to &#8220;Let&#8217;s Go Brandon&#8221; and &#8220;F*** Joe Biden&#8221; builds on the popularity of the phrases following a NASCAR race at Alabama&#8217;s Talladega Speedway in 2021. The crowd behind NASCAR winner Brandon Brown chanted, &#8220;F*** Joe Biden.&#8221; The NBC Sports announcer claimed they were saying, &#8220;Let&#8217;s Go Brandon!&#8221;
The viral phrase quickly led to memes and merchandise using the phrase as a jab at President Joe Biden and his policies.

“The issues we are facing are so much bigger than ‘Brandon.’ The frustration and anger we are feeling toward the failures of our current leadership in Washington is what motivated me to run,” McCormick <a href="https://www.foxnews.com/politics/pennsylvania-senate-race-dave-mccormick-to-air-lets-go-brandon-ad-during-super-bowl" target="_blank" rel="noopener">told</a> Fox News in an interview ahead of the ad’s release.
“Whether it’s not being able to afford gas or groceries because of record-high inflation, rampant crime in our cities, a dramatic spike in the trafficking of fentanyl and human exploitation across open borders, or the disgraceful lack of accountability for the death of 13 young service members in Afghanistan — these problems were self-inflicted by Joe Biden and the extreme policies of the Left. Pennsylvanians have had enough,” McCormick, a Gulf War combat veteran, continued.
In January, Florida Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis blasted Biden in remarks during an interview, saying that there were a lot of problems around the country with “Brandon,” a name used to mock Biden, in office. The Daily Wire <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/desantis-shreds-biden-theres-a-huge-amount-of-problems-in-u-s-with-brandon-in-the-white-house" target="_blank" rel="noopener">reported</a>:

Alabama Man’s ‘Let’s Go Brandon’ License Plate Recalled Over ‘Objectionable’ Language

At least one fan apparently wrote a message to President Joe Biden on the finish line of the Daytona International Speedway in Daytona Beach, Florida, this weekend.
During a live interview with NASCAR fans at the Daytona 500, a reporter from FOX 35 Orlando asked: “What are you going to sign on that finish line?”
“What do you think I’m going to sign?&#8221; one man told the reporter, video shows. &#8220;I’m going to sign ‘F*** Joe Biden’!”
&#8220;That&#8217;s the risk we have here when we broadcast live,&#8221; the reporter said, after quickly moving on from the fan.
He didn&#8217;t have much luck with the next fan, either, though.
&#8220;I love the American flag shirt&#8221; the reporter said to a man in an American flag shirt. &#8220;What are you going to sign on the checkered line?&#8221;
&#8220;Um, I just did,&#8221; the fan replied. &#8220;Would you like to see what I wrote?&#8221;
&#8220;Just tell me &#8212; is it clean?&#8221; the reporter asked.
&#8220;It is not clean,&#8221; the fan responded.
It&#8217;s unclear what the man really wrote, but a woman narrating the shocking moment speculated: &#8220;F*** Joe Biden,&#8221; she said with a laugh.

At a NASCAR race last year, fans chanted &#8220;F*** Joe Biden&#8221; while an NBC reporter was interviewing race winner Brandon Brown. The reporter notably claimed fans were actually cheering on Brown, telling viewers fan were saying, &#8220;Let&#8217;s go Brandon.&#8221; Now, “Let’s go Brandon” has become synonymous with “F*** Joe Biden.”
The anti-Biden expression has since popped up at concerts, sporting events, and protests.
Beloved host and advocate for blue-collar workers <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/mike-rowe-details-real-meaning-of-clever-lets-go-brandon-chant-admits-what-makes-him-want-to-say-it">Mike Rowe</a> explained in December the real meaning behind the highly-popularized, “clever,” and “hysterical” chant.
“The times that we’re living in right now are forcing lots of people on both sides of the aisle to look at a thing, or hear a thing, and be told that what they’re seeing and what they’re hearing is not real,” Rowe said. “And you can’t do that to people indefinitely and expect them not to push back somehow. You can’t tell people that the border is secure and then show them images of tens of thousands of people flooding over it. You can’t tell people that the evacuation of Afghanistan was a success and then show them people falling off of a plane. … And you can’t ask people who are watching a NASCAR race at home, who clearly hear the crowd yelling ‘F*** Joe Biden’ to pretend that what they’re really hearing is ‘Let’s Go Brandon.’”
“I think what’s happened is people have just become sick and tired of being told that what they’re seeing and what they’re hearing is not what they’re seeing and hearing,” Rowe emphasized.
“And this is the perfect trope,” he continued. “I don’t think people who yell it are necessarily enemies of the president. I think they’re enemies of being told that what they’re seeing and what they’re hearing isn’t real, that it’s somehow a figment of their imagination. People are sick of that.”

Ted Cruz (R-TX) told The Daily Wire this week that the &#8220;F*** Joe Biden&#8221; chants that have broken out at sporting events across the country signal not &#8220;a wave&#8221; but a &#8220;tsunami&#8221; is set to hit Democrats in this fall&#8217;s midterm elections as he warns Democrats are facing an all-out &#8220;bloodbath.&#8221;
Cruz pointed to the Democrats managing to &#8220;screw up every single issue they&#8217;ve touched&#8221; — including Biden&#8217;s border crisis, handling of the pandemic, and &#8220;disastrous&#8221; foreign policy decisions — and the skyrocketing inflation rates being felt by consumers across the country. At one point during the interview, Cruz <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/cruz-rips-biden-our-enemies-know-biden-is-too-weak-to-do-a-damn-thing-about-their-hostile-intentions">said</a>, &#8220;Biden’s administration in just a year is already worse than Jimmy Carter.&#8221;
&#8220;I think 2022 is going to be a bloodbath for Democrats,&#8221; Cruz said. &#8220;It&#8217;s not just going to be a wave, it&#8217;s going to be a tsunami. I believe Republicans are going to win the House and we&#8217;re going to win the Senate. And I think it will be on the order of magnitude of 1994 or 2010.&#8221;
Cruz noted numerous instances where Democrat politicians and Left-wing figures have been slammed for ignoring coronavirus restrictions, including Stacey Abrams, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY), Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti, former President Barack Obama, and NBA star LeBron James.

The flight attendant who confronted him asked him to put on a different mask. He asked if that was a violation of his rights, prompting her to cite an “FAA regulation” as the reason for her decision.

“Allegiant confirmed to <a class="class" href="https://www.foxbusiness.com/politics/video-purports-show-man-being-removed-plane-lets-go-brandon-mask" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener">Fox Business</a> that the passenger was removed but claimed it was because he was disobeying the flight attendant. Allegiant wouldn&#8217;t confirm whether or not the passenger had been unruly or violated the policy based on the slogan, nor where the flight departed or was headed,” <a href="https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-10522255/Allegiant-passenger-kicked-flight-Lets-Brandon-mask-on.html">The Daily Mail</a> reported, adding that Allegiant released a statement that read:

Michon, whose first name is Brandon, also said he will be happy to hear the popular chant &#8220;Let&#8217;s Go Brandon&#8221; on the campaign trail. The phrase is even included in the images for his campaign website revealed on Twitter on Wednesday.

The emotional speech led to many interview opportunities and spread quickly through media and online.
Public education also became a key part of Virginia&#8217;s election for governor in 2021. Republican Glenn Youngkin won in part due to his strong emphasis on restoring education rights to parents.
Youngkin <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/governor-youngkin-signs-11-orders-on-day-one-in-office-includes-crt-ban-investigating-loudoun-county-officials">signed his first executive order</a> just hours after taking office on January 15, promising “to restore excellence in education by ending the use of divisive concepts, including Critical Race Theory” in public schools.
The Daily Wire previously <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/glenn-youngkin-outlines-his-plan-to-make-virginias-education-system-number-one-in-nation" target="_blank" rel="noopener">reported</a> on Youngkin&#8217;s plans to restore excellence to education:

“We have instructed the secretary of education and our state’s superintendent of public schools, to go to work and evaluate raising standards,” Youngkin told the hosts. “We are right now, ranked roughly 50th in the nation when it comes to standards, and I challenged everyone that by the time that we’re done together, over this next four years, to be number one.”
“So it’s going to be a systematic process to raise those standards again,” he continued. “Oh, by the way, it was a process that was undertaken by unelected bureaucrats who did this to Virginia. And we are going to go back and turn it around and I have absolutely instructed our education department to get it done.”

Conservative musician Kid Rock slammed Democrat President Joe Biden, Dr. Anthony Fauci, big tech companies, and the mainstream media in a new song that he released this week titled, &#8220;We The People.&#8221;
&#8220;The 51-year-old performer has been a vocal supporter of former President Trump,&#8221; The Hill <a href="https://thehill.com/blogs/in-the-know/in-the-know/591264-kid-rock-releases-anti-biden-anti-fauci-single-with-a-lets-go">reported</a>. &#8220;In 2017, he posed for photos in the Oval Office with Trump alongside 2012 GOP vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin and singer Ted Nugent.&#8221;
The song features a decent amount of profanity as Kid Rock, including saying, &#8220;f*** Fauci,&#8221; and having &#8220;Let&#8217;s go, Brandon&#8221; featured in the chorus of the song.
Calling Biden “Brandon” comes from the popular anti-Biden slogan “Let’s Go, Brandon.” The slogan started in October at a NASCAR race at the Talladega Superspeedway in Alabama when NBC Sports reporter Kelli Stavast was interviewing driver Brandon Brown after he won the race.
As Stavast interviewed Brown, “F*** Joe Biden” chants broke out in the stands, but Stavast claimed that they were chanting “Let’s go, Brandon.”
The “Let’s Go, Brandon” slogan has since become code for “F*** Joe Biden” and is commonly used at sporting events and various other locations.

Florida Republican Governor Ron DeSantis slammed Democrat President Joe Biden in remarks this week during an interview, saying that there were a lot of problems around the country with &#8220;Brandon,&#8221; a name used to mock Biden, in office.
&#8220;All the problems you see with our country, and there&#8217;s a huge amount of problems with Brandon in the White House,&#8221; DeSantis <a href="https://www.foxnews.com/politics/desantis-rips-biden-brandon-white-house-not-good-year">said</a>. &#8220;I mean look, the guy is not clicking on all cylinders, he&#8217;s not had a very good year.&#8221;
&#8220;We&#8217;re still strong in the state of Florida. We&#8217;re beating Brandon in Florida,&#8221; DeSantis added. &#8220;When I got elected, there were about 300,000 more registered Democrats in Florida than Republicans. Well now, for the first time in history, we have more Republicans than Democrats, and we&#8217;re gaining more and more every single month.&#8221;

DeSantis&#8217; remarks come as new <a href="https://poll.qu.edu/poll-release?releaseid=3831">polling</a> released this week by Quinnipiac University, a left-of-center mainstream poll, found that Biden’s approval rating had collapsed to 33%, which included a staggeringly low 28% approval rating from Hispanics. The poll also found that 70% of Americans said that the economy was not in good shape.
“In the two months since signing the $1 trillion infrastructure bill into law, President Biden has by almost every measure bombed big time on the things that matter most,” Axios <a href="https://www.axios.com/biden-agenda-failure-democrats-47947ce1-91b8-45e0-952f-4598fbda1789.html">reported</a>. “It’s rare for a president to be at odds with Republicans, moderate Democrats and liberal Democrats — all at once. But that’s where Biden finds himself at the start of an election year that many Democrats believe will result in the loss of the House and maybe the Senate.”
Among the problems the Biden administration is facing, in addition to the low approval ratings, are anger from far-left activists, Biden&#8217;s vaccine mandate on businesses being blocked, disastrous foreign policy decisions, skyrocketing inflation, and supply chain issues.
Larry Summers, who served as Treasury Secretary under former President Bill Clinton and director of the National Economic Council under former President Barack Obama, warned this week that inflation was becoming an &#8220;entrenched&#8221; problem.
“I think the data flow is saying what I’ve thought for quite some time that, yes, there are transitory elements in inflation, and very likely they will recede, but we are basically moving towards higher entrenched inflation,” Summers <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/top-obama-economist-delivers-stark-warning-about-what-is-happening-with-inflation">said</a>. “It’s there in expectations, it’s there in wages, it’s there in labor shortages, it’s there in the pervasive pattern across many different prices.”
“We have a massive, overheated labor market,” Summers continued. “We have the highest ratio of vacancies to unemployment in the country’s history, by a large margin. We have shortages of labor, in everything from psychotherapy, to McDonalds, in everything from investment analysts to gardeners, that suggests a surfeit of purchasing power and demand relative to the capacity of the economy to produce and unless we bring those things into balance, we’re going to have not just higher inflation, but possibly even accelerating inflation. And we need to recognize that we have an overheated economy that we are going to need to cool off.”
