<a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/democratic-party" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Democrat</a> staff members who belong to a far-Left caucus wrote a letter to congressional leaders this week asking that they reduce the full-time work week to just 32 hours so that they do not get burned out.
The Congressional Progressive Staff Association, which represents House and Senate employees across the country, claimed that their proposal was about &#8220;a more sustainable approach to work on a national level.&#8221;
&#8220;By adopting a 32-hour workweek for staff on a rotating basis, you can accomplish these goals while retaining the productivity and quality of work you expect and deserve from your team,&#8221; they claimed. &#8220;We urge you to consider piloting the program in your own offices and encouraging your fellow Members across your conference or caucus to do the same.&#8221;
They complained that their jobs working for members of Congress were &#8220;often demanding and intensive.&#8221;
&#8220;Staffers routinely work long hours at a level of rigor that regularly leads to burnout,&#8221; the letter claimed.
The proposal, which was widely mocked online, said that members should institute &#8220;a 32-hour workweek for D.C.-based staff during district work periods and a 32-hour workweek for district-based staff while in-session.&#8221;
&#8220;Doing so — without a reduction in pay — would allow both D.C. and distinct staff to be fully available around the clock throughout more intensive periods when the Member is in town while allowing for a more sustainable schedule when workloads are more manageable,&#8221; they added. &#8220;If implemented, offices are not likely to see a drop in overall productivity.&#8221;

The staffers claimed that members who were skeptical should &#8220;engage in a six-month pilot&#8221; to see if the reduction in hours leads to increased outcomes.
Rep. Burgess Owens (R-UT) responded to the letter: &#8220;Members of Congress are always looking to hire and retain the best staff—hard workers who you can count on to go above and beyond on behalf of constituents.&#8221;
&#8220;My advice to these &#8216;progressive staffers&#8217; is simple: find a new industry. Public service is clearly not meant for you,&#8221; he added.
Rep. Mike Lawler (R-NY) responded: &#8220;If progressive hill staffers worked 0 hours per week, it would probably do more to help the Democrats win than anything else they could do.&#8221;

A “social justice academy” run by a California school district teaches elementary school kids to disavow “whiteness” and embrace transgender ideology, lesson plans shared with The Daily Wire show.
Every summer since 2021, the New Haven Unified School District in the San Francisco Bay area has trained rising 3rd-6th graders in leftist gender and racial politics during its annual “social justice academy.” Specific details about the academy’s curriculum were revealed in documents recently obtained from the school by Parents Defending Education through a public records request.
“Scholars will define and critically think about Social Justice, identify social injustices in the community, and create opportunities for activism through writing, action, art,” according to a plan from 2023 for the academy, which operates in deep blue Alameda County.
The three-week academy, which costs the district around $20,000, was formed, in part, due to an Alameda County resolution that instructs educators to “help our children understand and react to racial differences, and to teach our youth how to speak up against injustice, racism and inequality.”
Throughout the three-week course, students are taught the full gambit of leftist positions from “womxn rights” to Black Lives Matter and transgender ideology. The course comes as test scores show that under half of elementary students in the district are proficient in math while only half are proficient in reading.
A lesson plan from week one shows that the academy focuses on issues of racial and sexual identity while reading from the book “Not My Idea: A Book About Whiteness.” The book says that “whiteness is a bad deal. It always was” and that “you can be white without signing on to whiteness.”
The students are also taught that it is “white supremacy” that the 10 richest Americans are white and that governors were 96% white based on 2016-era statistics, according to planning materials for the academy from 2024.
In another exercise, students were taught about stereotypes by being forced to fire people from a list of names, before gradually learning more about them, including their sexual identities and disabilities.

In week two of the academy, students are taught about Black Lives Matter, defunding the police, and taught to compare former President Donald Trump to Adolf Hitler.
The comparison between Trump and Hitler happens during a section on “dehumanizing language,” where students are shown an image of the two men with quotes. However, the quote attributed to Trump is completely fabricated.

Trump is quoted in the image as saying “Undocumented immigrants are not human; they are animals.” While Trump has referred to violent gang members and murderers as “animals,” he never said all illegal immigrants are animals in a blanket manner.

The course also takes a pro-Palestinian bent, accusing Israel of being a colonialist power and pointing students to a video from the leftist outlet The Root called “Why Black people should care about Palestinian Liberation.”
Also during the second week, students are taught about “defunding the police,” the history of the Black Lives Matter movement, and the “criminalization of BIPOC.” The course materials argue that school disciplinary practices create a “school-to-prison” pipeline that disproportionately impacts black students.
During week three of the social justice academy, students read from two books pushing transgender ideology. One book, “I Am Jazz,” is based on Jazz Jennings, a man who identifies as a woman. Jennings’ parents moved him towards “gender-transition” at age 3, and he quickly became the star of a reality TV show that highlighted transgenderism.
Students are taught that being “transgender is not a choice” and how to be an “LGBTQIA+ Ally.” Course materials list “transgender rights” as things like “access to medical care” and “all gender bathrooms.”
Students are also taught about a Florida law that prohibited discussion of gender identity and sexual orientation for young children in classrooms. The legislation was derisively referred to as the “Don’t Say Gay” bill by the Left.
New Haven Unified School District did not respond to requests for comment.
Erika Sanzi, the director of outreach for Parents Defending Education, said that the academy should be shut down.
“This summer program should have been advertised as an indoctrination camp where ideologues who spell the word ‘women’ with an x feed students propaganda about defunding the police, transgenderism, and oppression,” she told The Daily Wire. “At the same time that they lie to kids about book bans, the curriculum includes a children’s book that calls whiteness bad and equates it with the devil.”

Michigan Democrats are pushing multiple pieces of controversial legislation before they lose their hold on the Michigan House of Representatives at the end of the year. Two Democrats and the entire House Republican conference, however, skipped the state legislature&#8217;s sessions on Wednesday, hamstringing Democrats&#8217; last-minute efforts.
Far-Left Democrats in the House have been pushing for a vote on a bill to allow illegal immigrants to obtain driver’s licenses, and a police reform bill that would limit law enforcement&#8217;s use of no-knock warrants. But Republicans, joined by Democratic Rep. Karen Whitsett, want the House to focus on fixing the roads, protecting restaurant workers&#8217; tips, and fixing issues with a paid sick leave law.
Michigan House Republicans walked out of the legislative session last week, slamming Democrats for ignoring legislation on road improvements, minimum wage, and paid sick leave bills that Republican members argue are more pressing issues. Democrats currently have a trifecta in the state, controlling the state House, Senate, and governor&#8217;s mansion.
The Michigan Republicans did not return for sessions on Wednesday and do not plan to return on Thursday, which is listed as the final day on the voting calendar until the state House flips back to Republican control in 2025. Whitsett also did not attend Wednesday&#8217;s session, meaning Democrats lacked the votes to pass any bills.
&#8220;I’m staying home for my constituents,&#8221; Whitsett said, according to <a href="https://www.detroitnews.com/story/news/politics/2024/12/17/whitsett-karen-house-majority-dems-quorum/77060859007/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">The Detroit News</a>. &#8220;We’re not going to be voting on garbage bills that do nothing for our community and have a negative impact.”
Restaurant workers and bartenders have voiced <a href="https://www.wxyz.com/news/servers-bartenders-pack-michigan-capitol-to-save-the-tipping-system" target="_blank" rel="noopener">concerns</a> about a minimum wage law that is set to take effect in February that they say will decrease the money they make from tips. Business owners, meanwhile, are concerned about a new law on required sick leave for nearly all employees. Some business owners <a href="https://www.bridgemi.com/business-watch/businesses-fear-worst-michigans-new-sick-time-law-will-lawmakers-act" target="_blank" rel="noopener">say</a> it will hurt their efforts to run a punctual and effective operation while also hurting employees who already have sick leave benefits. Unless the state legislature acts, the new minimum wage and paid sick time laws will take effect in two months. Michigan House Speaker-elect Matt Hall told The Daily Wire that Republicans also want to vote on a plan to fix the roads that won&#8217;t raise any taxes.
&#8220;The things these Democrats are working on are radical and out of touch with the people of Michigan or unimportant in most cases,&#8221; Hall told The Daily Wire in a phone interview. &#8220;We want to spend our time here focusing on the issues that matter most to the working people of Michigan.&#8221;
Hall added that if Democrats refuse to vote on the roads bill, or minimum wage or sick leave laws, then the House should adjourn. He said that Republicans will pick these issues up when they take over the Michigan House next month.
Michigan Democratic Attorney General Dana Nessel accused Michigan House Republicans and Whitsett of taking &#8220;literally criminal&#8221; actions.
&#8220;Article IV of the Michigan Constitution defines the role of the Legislature and how it is to be constituted. The chief purposes of the Legislature are to enact new laws and amend or repeal existing laws,&#8221; Nessel wrote on Facebook. &#8220;MCL 750.478: When any duty is or shall be enjoined by law upon any public officer, or upon any person holding any public trust or employment, every willful neglect to perform such duty, where no special provision shall have been made for the punishment of such delinquency, constitutes a misdemeanor punishable by imprisonment for not more than 1 year or a fine of not more than $1,000.00.&#8221;
Michigan House rules allow for the Speaker to call on the sergeant-at-arms to bring absent lawmakers to the session, but Democratic Speaker Joe Tate has so far declined to use that authority. House Speaker Pro Tem Laurie Pohutsky said she is encouraging Tate to dispatch the sergeant-at-arms.
&#8220;And I am not the only one,&#8221; Pohutsky said. &#8220;He is the Speaker of the House. That is his decision to make.&#8221;
Later on Wednesday, Whitsett said that she plans to be in attendance on Thursday since some of her bills will be taken up for a vote, Gongwer News <a href="https://x.com/ElenaDurnbaugh/status/1869505856381026506" target="_blank" rel="noopener">reported</a>.
In the final weeks of the 2024 session, Michigan House Democrats have crammed through leftist legislation, including a bill to prevent libraries from removing books on sexual orientation and gender identity and a bill that updates the state&#8217;s hate crime law to include protections for sexual orientation and gender identity or expression. Those bills are now in the hands of the Democrat-controlled state Senate, which could also be in a bind as one Democratic state Senator, Sylvia Santana, also announced that she will be skipping the legislative session, The Detroit News <a href="https://www.detroitnews.com/story/news/politics/2024/12/17/whitsett-karen-house-majority-dems-quorum/77060859007/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">reported</a>.

Lawmakers are scheduled to come back for a session at noon on Thursday with a House Democratic Caucus spokesman telling reporters, &#8220;The agenda for today is the agenda for tomorrow,&#8221; according to <a href="https://x.com/JordynHermani/status/1869470853475528956" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Bridge Michigan</a>. In the state Senate, Democrats need 20 votes to pass any legislation, but Santana&#8217;s absence puts their count at 19. Similarly, in the state House, Democrats need 56 votes, but they only have 55 with Whitsett skipping the session.
House Republicans gathered for a press conference at a Lansing-area restaurant on Wednesday morning, where Speaker-elect Hall continued his calls for Democrats to take action with Republicans to save restaurant workers&#8217; tipping system. He also slammed AG Nessel over her comments.
&#8220;We&#8217;re not going to be bullied and intimidated by this attorney general,&#8221; Hall said. &#8220;And she has no business as a member of the executive branch telling us in the legislative branch what to do. Look, I&#8217;m an attorney too, so I hope she knows about the separation of powers, but we&#8217;re not going to be bullied by her.&#8221;
&#8220;She knows that oversight is coming and accountability to her department and scrutiny of her budget,&#8221; he added. &#8220;And we&#8217;re going to get her office under control.&#8221;

Democrat strategist Julian Epstein said late this week that the <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/leftist" target="_blank" rel="noopener">political Left</a> lost the 2024 election because they are too woke and they are condescending to others.
Epstein made the remarks during a Friday interview on Fox News while discussing the course correction that he would like to see his party make.

Far-left <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/msnbc">MSNBC</a> host <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/joy-reid">Joy Reid</a> joined the leftist exodus from the social media platform <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/twitter">X</a> following Trump’s victory last week.
The X profile for her MSNBC show “The ReidOut” still appears active, but the host’s personal account has been deactivated. Reid explained her reasons for leaving the platform in a video.
“Today I finally did something I’ve been meaning to do for a while,” she said in the clip posted to <a href="https://www.tiktok.com/@joyreidofficial/video/7436979734317108510?lang=en">TikTok</a>. “The reason for doing it, and kissing goodbye [to] my 1.9 million followers, is because I haven’t been posting for a long time. I just didn’t want to be contributing content once it was purchased by its present owner.”
The host said she was fed up with “negativity” on X.
“Every so often, I would use it to just look at news that was trending and what’s happening and I would just use it as an aggregator, but I just realized that’s not really worth it,” she added. “Because in order to do the news aggregation and just look at all, you have to wade through a lot of dreck and just abuse and a lot of negativity, and it’s just not worth it.”
Many other leftists have also left X in recent days. The U.K.-based news outlet The Guardian announced this week it will no longer post on X from its official accounts, citing “disturbing content.” NPR also stopped using X after the platform added a “state-affiliated media” tag to NPR’s profile.

As the mainstream media grapples with <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/kamala-harris">Kamala Harris</a>’ big loss, many are trying to figure out what went wrong. <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/msnbc">MSNBC</a> host <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/joe-scarborough">Joe Scarborough</a> put forth the theory that Democrats allowed their party to become too involved with cultural issues, including men competing in women’s sports.
Scarborough brought up the topic of pro-Palestinian protestors on college campuses as another example of Leftist extremism. 
“Let’s dig a little deeper because you have that stacked on top of what happened on college campuses this fall, stacked on top of what’s been happening on college campuses over the past four or five years,” he said. “I have said this on the air, and every time I’ve said it, people said, ‘Oh, you’re just saying that because you’re a white conservative.’ No, I’m just saying it because every Democrat that we have ever sat down [to] dinner with over the past five years who have kids that go to colleges, say their kids are afraid to speak in class because they’ll be canceled.”
Scarborough added, “If any of you out there say, &#8216;Oh, that’s just like a conservative, white, southern guy &#8230;&#8217; That’s why you’re losing. That’s why you’re losing. Because that’s what I heard. And I didn’t hear it from Republicans. I didn’t hear it from Trumpers. I heard it from Democrats over the past three or four years. Their kids were afraid to talk in class and say something unpopular because they would be canceled. And it’s an epidemic.”

“Eighty-five percent of Americans oppose men transitioning after puberty and competing against women. And I’m not just saying this the day after the election. I’ve been saying this for years. This is not a hard call. You can show compassion and you can show grace. And as the Republican governor of Utah said, ‘Let’s figure out a way to do this.’ But one way we don’t do this is by allowing men who transition after puberty [to compete] against young girls who have been working their entire lives to be as good as they can be. And then they get destroyed in the pool, on the track, etc., etc., etc.”

<a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/jerry-seinfeld" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Jerry Seinfeld</a> took back statements he previously made, attributing leftist-driven political correctness as being a death knell for comedy.
The 70-year-old <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/comedian">comedian</a> made the initial comments during an interview with The New Yorker in April. At the time, he said, “People [are] worrying so much about offending other people” that the art of comedy has been going downhill. 
“When you write a script and it goes into four or five different hands, committees, groups—’Here’s our thought about this joke.’ Well, that’s the end of your comedy,” Seinfeld <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/jerry-seinfeld-sounds-off-the-extreme-left-and-p-c-crap-has-killed-television-comedy">declared</a> at the time.
Now, the sitcom creator is changing his story. On an episode of his “Breaking Bread” <a href="https://youtu.be/PQWslKu129g">podcast</a> released on Tuesday, Seinfeld told fellow comedian Tom Papa that he “regrets” making those statements, which went viral at the time.

If you’re a champion skier, you can put the gates anywhere you want on the mountain and you’re going to make the gate. That’s comedy. Whatever the culture is, we make the gate. You don’t make the gate, you’re out of the game. The game is where is the gate and how do I make the gate to get down the hill.”
He continued, “Does culture change and are there things that I used to say that [I can’t because] people are always moving [the gate]? Yes, but that’s the biggest and easiest target. You can’t say certain words about groups. So what? The accuracy of your observation has to be 100 times finer than that just to be a comedian…So I don’t think, as I said, the ‘extreme left’ has done anything to inhibit the art of comedy.”
Seinfeld also denied rumors that he was unwilling to perform at colleges anymore. 
“First of all, I never said it, but if you think I said it, it’s not true. I play colleges all the time,” the celeb said. “I have no problem with kids, performing for them. I was just at the University of Indiana. I do colleges all the time.”

Left-wing commentator <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/ana-kasparian" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Ana Kasparian</a> revealed this week that she abandoned the Democratic Party after she revealed that she was sexually assaulted by a homeless man and was subsequently harshly criticized for publicly disclosing the attack.
The co-host of “The Young Turks” made the revelation on Jillian Michaels’ “Keeping It Real” podcast while discussing feeling “politically homeless” in recent years.
&#8220;In 2022, it was around March, I was walking my dog,&#8221; she began. &#8220;It was not quite dark yet, but the sun was setting. As I&#8217;m walking my dog, I see these two guys that were, they were just kind of like moving around weirdly, they seemed kind of manic, and their clothes were tattered. So I just I knew that they were probably homeless, and I also knew that they&#8217;re probably on something.&#8221;
She said that she didn&#8217;t think anything of it because she has been around the homeless before and has never had issues.
&#8220;But as I was bending down to pick up my dog&#8217;s mess, one of the guys, like, grabs me by my hips and he had an erection, and just starts, like, humping me and I didn&#8217;t know what to do,&#8221; she said. &#8220;I was terrified. I didn&#8217;t have a weapon on me, like I had no way of defending myself. I didn&#8217;t know how far it was gonna go, because it&#8217;s two guys.&#8221;
&#8220;I&#8217;m by myself with my little dog. It was like one of the most terrifying things ever, because I&#8217;m pretty good at defending myself,&#8221; she continued. &#8220;In that moment, I just knew there was no option. And luckily, he stopped, and they just laughed at me and walked away as they were laughing at me.&#8221;
She said that she was filled with feelings of fear, humiliation, and shame and that the attack left her struggling with mental health issues and being afraid to go outside.
&#8220;So, I opened up about this on the show, not really thinking much of it, and before I know it, I&#8217;m starting to get these messages, and it&#8217;s like really, really harsh stuff,&#8221; she said. &#8220;And it&#8217;s about, how you are painting a picture of the homeless community. You know, how could you be like this? You know, these are your unhoused neighbors, and they need help.&#8221;
&#8220;A few people accused me of being racist when I had never disclosed the race of the individuals who did this to me, and in fact, they were white,&#8221; she said. &#8220;And so like, when they started accusing me of being racist, I&#8217;m like, wait a minute, why are you assuming that the people who did this? Of course, yeah, like, I think you might have a problem here. Exactly. Yeah. That woke me up. That woke me up. That woke me up.&#8221;
She said that she realized all these people whom she&#8217;s associated with and believed to be good people have racist stereotypes in their minds about minorities.
“At some point last year, the other thing that really hit me was the difference between my upbringing and what the Democratic Party espouses,” Kasparian said.
She said that Democrats &#8220;constantly disempower people of color&#8221; with &#8220;messaging that infantilizes them and makes them seem as though, you know, if it weren’t for us white saviors messing around with these laws and policies, they would never be able to survive.&#8221;

Daily Wire host Michael Knowles eviscerated the Left’s misinterpretation of the history and motivations behind Hamas’ October 7 attack in a speech on Monday night.
Knowles <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8UCa-8jKddw" target="_blank" rel="noopener">spoke</a> at the University of California, Berkeley, which marked the anniversary of the terrorist group&#8217;s attack against Israel. In his speech, he called out the Left for claiming that Israel is occupying Palestinian land and missing the religious motivations behind Hamas’ attack.
Knowles said that leftist student protesters chanting, “From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free” are ignorant of the history of the Holy Land.
“There has never been a nation-state known as Palestine, even if there had been, Palestinian Arabs would not be the indigenous heirs to the Levant, which was Byzantine before Muslim Arabs invaded and conquered the land in the 7th century,” Knowles said.
“Jews had lived as a nation in the Levant, eventually becoming incorporated into the Roman Empire until the Jewish-Roman wars of the first and second centuries,” he added. “That is a deeper historical tie than the Muslim Arabs can claim.”
The Daily Wire host argued that “all indigenous arguments” for the right to certain areas “fall flat,” saying that pointing to “historical occupation” is not sufficient to claim the Holy Land “as a nation-state for the Arabs, or the Byzantines or the Romans or the Jews or the Caananites or the Hittites for that matter.”
“None of whom, by the way, even conceived of the modern nation-state before it appeared in the 17th century as a way to restore political order to Europe, which had been embroiled in more than a century of war following the Protestant revolution,” Knowles said.
“The more sophisticated campus protesters make arguments that go deeper than the land and the sea,” he added. “They will argue that Palestinian Muslims must have a nation-state in order to protect some vague notion of human rights.”

“What is ironic about leftist protesters’ babble about human rights with regard to Arab nationalism in Palestine is that the Muslims entirely reject the supposed rights that the leftists exalt,” Knowles said. “If a queer for Palestine ever actually traveled to Gaza, he would be thrown off of a rooftop.”
“The campus babble about human rights is silly, but it is more sophisticated than the argument about the river and the sea because it at least approaches the real key to the October 7 attack, which is religion,” he added.

In a wide-ranging conversation on the latest episode of “<a href="https://www.dailywire.com/episode/jonathan-pageau-member-exclusive" target="_blank" rel="noopener">The Ben Shapiro Show Sunday Special</a>,” the Daily Wire host and Orthodox Christian thinker Jonathan Pageau warned that the Left&#8217;s &#8220;hijacking of traditional symbolism&#8221; risks creating an &#8220;upside down world&#8221; where abnormality is imposed on society.
Pageau pointed to recent examples like the Olympics opening ceremony using Christian imagery to promote progressive causes, calling it &#8220;cannibalistic&#8221; and destructive. He emphasized the importance of recapturing traditional stories and symbolism to counter this trend.
“So the most obvious example would be the Olympics opening ceremony, where they&#8217;re using the symbolism of Jesus and the 12 disciples to promote homosexuality and transgenderism. I mean, it&#8217;s literally taking the message of Christianity and turning it into a hedonistic, sexually sterile promotion tool,” Shapiro said. 
“This is the thing that we have to understand, Ben, is that the kind of psycho progressive, like the really fringe, the hard Left, is they understand symbolism very well. … They know what they&#8217;re doing,” Pageau replied. “And so the coherence of the symbolism of that scene was absolutely right to their purpose, which is the complete destruction of all identity and of all purpose.”

He added that “it’s really important for us to recapture those stories and to recapture the symbolism because we&#8217;re faced with things that we&#8217;ve lost our weapons against.” Pageau argued that it’s more important to respond to the Left making a mockery of the Last Supper by telling “the true story” instead of simply giving political statements. 
“That&#8217;s why I don&#8217;t talk about politics that much. I talk about stories and about and I try to tell stories because that&#8217;s the best way to answer,” he said. “Because the real story, the true story is the one that is embodied in fairy tales or the Bible or even the ancient myths, these stories that have been with us for millennia, and that that kind of uphold our civilization.” 
Pageau and Shapiro also discussed how attempts to deconstruct traditional symbolism, particularly around gender, can lead to cultural confusion. 
&#8220;The desire to deconstruct the male-female opposite that is set up in the beginning of Genesis is going at the very core of reality where it’s like if we can take that, then we can define everything and decide what everything is, and humanity is indefinitely programable,” Pageau said. “But that’s impossible.” 
Earlier in the interview, Pageau said that fairytales use similar patterns and language as biblical stories but are more accessible, especially to children. 
&#8220;They connect to the same ideas. But they have a little more buffer and they&#8217;re more accessible for the common people,&#8221; Pageau said.
Pageau analyzed the fairytale &#8220;Jack and the Beanstalk&#8221; as an example, describing it as a coming-of-age story with deep symbolism about masculinity, civilization, and patterns of being. The Christian thinker also discussed his book “<a href="https://store.thesymbolicworld.com/products/jack-and-the-fallen-giants">Jack and the Fallen Giants</a>,” which is a retelling of the popular fairytale, saying, “There&#8217;s a connection between the story of Jack and the Beanstalk and the story of the Giants in and in Genesis. And also later in the Old Testament.” 
“So we&#8217;re trying to help people see those connections and see how the fairytales aren&#8217;t just a bunch of ridiculous things that are accumulated together. … But they actually have patterns that describe the cosmos in a deep way,” he added.

Argentina President <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/javier-milei" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Javier Milei</a> declared war on the global Left during a rousing speech at the United Nations this week where he announced that his country would no longer remain neutral and on the sidelines.
The 53-year-old libertarian economist — whose policies have started to rapidly reverse Argentina&#8217;s decline with inflation rates falling, rental housing becoming more available and affordable, and economic growth outpacing forecasts — said that he became a politician &#8220;following the resounding failure of more than a century of collectivist policies that destroyed our country.&#8221;
He warned that the U.N. has veered off course in recent decades from its original charter of ensuring major global war did not erupt again by adopting principles centered around the belief that all human beings are born free and equal in dignity and rights.
Milei said that the organization changed from being &#8220;a shield to protect&#8221; mankind to &#8220;a leviathan with various tentacles purporting to decide not only what each nation state should do, but also how all the citizens in the world should live.&#8221;

&#8220;It purports to resolve the problems of modernity with solutions that afflict the sovereignty of nation states and violate the right to life, right to freedom, and property of persons,&#8221; he said. &#8220;It&#8217;s an agenda that purports to resolve poverty, inequality, discrimination with legislation that simply furthers these issues, because the history of the world has shown that the only way of guaranteeing prosperity is by limiting the power of the monarch, by guaranteeing equality before the law, defending the right to life, to freedom, and to the property ownership of individuals.&#8221;
He said that the U.N. committed &#8220;crimes against humanity&#8221; by advocating for lockdowns around the world in response to the coronavirus pandemic in 2020.
&#8220;In this same house, we that purport to defend human rights, we have also included bloody dictatorships in the Human Rights Council, including Cuba and Venezuela, without reproach,&#8221; he said. &#8220;In this same house, which purports to defend the rights of women, we&#8217;ve allowed on CEDAW, the CEDAW Committee, countries that punish their women just for showing their skin. In this same house that had voted against the State of Israel, which is the only country in the Middle East to defend a liberal democracy, we have simultaneously shown a total inability to respond to the scourge of terrorism.&#8221;
&#8220;On the economic level, we have promoted collectivist policies that undermine economic growth, violate property rights and disrupt a natural economic process in preventing the most left behind countries to freely enjoy their own resources,&#8221; he continued. &#8220;[The U.N. has] imposed regulations and prohibitions specifically because of countries that wish to develop themselves. We have further established toxic relationship between global governance and international credit bodies demanding that those countries that are most left behind commit resources that they don&#8217;t have to programs that they don&#8217;t need, making them perpetual debtors.&#8221;
&#8220;We have also seen ridiculous policies with Malthusian stances, such as zero emissions policies that harm all poor countries, policies related to sexual and reproductive rights when birth rates in Western countries are plummeting, announcing a somber future for all of us,&#8221; he continued. &#8220;We have also seen that the veto of the permanent members of the Security Council has begun to be used in the defense of the specific interests of a certain few. That&#8217;s where we are today, with a powerless organization, powerless to provide solutions to the true global conflicts.&#8221;
He said that the U.N. should be focused on Russia&#8217;s criminal war against Ukraine, which has resulted in hundreds of thousands of people being killed, instead of wasting time and money &#8220;imposing on poor countries how they should and how much they should produce, who they should do relations with, what they should eat, and what they should believe in.&#8221;
&#8220;I&#8217;d like to issue a warning here,&#8221; he said. &#8220;We are coming to the end of a cycle, collectivism and the moral posturing and the woke agenda is coming up against reality. There are no further credible solutions to the real problems of the world. If the 2030 agenda fails, as recognized by its own promoters, the response should be to wonder whether or not this was an ill-conceived program from the outset, and we should accept this reality and change what we&#8217;re doing.&#8221;
&#8220;The same thing always happens with ideas that come from the Left,&#8221; he continued, noting that leftists &#8220;design a model in line with what human beings should do, and when individuals freely decide to act otherwise, they have no better solution than to restrict, repress, or cut off their freedom.&#8221;
&#8220;In Argentina, we&#8217;ve seen with our own eyes what they have done at the end of this path of envy and sad passion: poverty, anarchy, and a total lack of liberty,&#8221; he continued. &#8220;We still have time to choose another direction. I want to be clear so that there&#8217;s no poor misunderstanding here. Argentina is going through a profound process of change currently and has decided to embrace the ideas of freedom. These are ideas that say that all citizens are born free and equal before the law, that we have inalienable rights granted by our Creator to life, to freedom, and to property.&#8221;
He said that these new principles the country is adopting will guide its international conduct moving forward.
&#8220;We believe in the defense of life for all,&#8221; he said. &#8220;We believe in the defense of property for all. We believe in freedom of expression for all. We believe in freedom of worship for all. We believe in freedom of trade for all. And we believe in limited government for all. And in these times, what happens in one country has a swift impact on others, and we believe that peoples should be able to live free of tyranny and oppression, be it political oppression, economic slavery, or religious fanaticism. This fundamental idea shouldn&#8217;t be mere words. It should be supported by our acts, diplomatically, economically and materially, through the joint force of all of the countries that stand up for freedom.&#8221;
He warned that Argentina will no longer support &#8220;any policy that implies restricting individual or trade freedoms, nor the violation of natural rights of individuals, regardless of who promotes these or how big the consensus is in this institution.&#8221;
&#8220;For this reason, I&#8217;d like to officially express our dissent on the Pact For The Future that was signed on Sunday, and I invite all nations of the free world to support us, not only in relation to this pact, but also in the establishment of a new agenda for this noble institution,&#8221; he concluded. &#8220;That is the agenda for freedom.
