<a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/celebrities">Blake Lively</a> has responded to the <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/lawsuit">lawsuit</a> that her “It Ends With Us” co-star Justin Baldoni filed yesterday.
The 179-page lawsuit was filed in a New York federal court against Lively, her husband Ryan Reynolds, and two publicists. The suit alleged crimes including extortion, defamation, and claims related to breach of contract, per Variety.
“This is an age-old story: A woman speaks up with concrete evidence of sexual harassment and retaliation and the abuser attempts to turn the tables on the victim. This is what experts call DARVO. Deny. Attack. Reverse Victim Offender,” a statement from Lively’s lawyers to The Hollywood Reporter on Thursday said in response to the suit.
The drama between Lively and Baldoni has been ongoing after rumors of issues between the two persisted last year.
Baldoni’s lawyer Bryan Freedman said the lawsuit is “based on an overwhelming amount of untampered evidence detailing Blake Lively and her team’s duplicitous attempt to destroy Justin Baldoni, his team and their respective companies by disseminating grossly edited, unsubstantiated, new and doctored information to the media.”
“It is clear based on our own all out willingness to provide all complete text messages, emails, video footage and other documentary evidence that was shared between the parties in real time, that this is a battle she will not win and will certainly regret,” he said.
This lawsuit comes on the heels of Lively suing Baldoni and his public relations team for sexual harassment, retaliation, and attempting to “destroy” her reputation.

At first, Baldoni responded by suing The New York Times for $250 million in a defamation claim for an article about the drama, which he says is “rife with inaccuracies, misrepresentations, and omissions.” He promised to countersue Lively, too, which he did on January 16.
“In over three decades of legal practice, I’ve never witnessed such unethical behavior, fueled by those who abuse their power and manipulate the truth,” Freedman’s statement said of the lawsuit against the Times. “This isn’t an isolated case; it’s a recurring pattern in Hollywood and the mainstream media where careers and reputations are destroyed to maintain control.”
The lawyer added, “Legacy media has long weaponized their platforms to distort the truth, exploit vulnerabilities, and destroy lives without accountability.”

A prosecutor in Denver, Colorado, who was fired after she faked inappropriate messages to frame a coworker for sexual harassment, has been disbarred.
Yujin Choi, a prosecutor in the Denver District Attorney’s Office, falsely accused a criminal investigator in the office, Dan Hines, of sexual harassment, The Denver Post <a href="https://www.denverpost.com/2025/01/03/denver-district-atorney-disbarred-false-sexual-harassment-yujin-choi/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">reported</a>. A ruling on January 3 by the Office of Presiding Disciplinary Judge, which oversees professional discipline for attorneys in Colorado, determined Choi should be disbarred for her actions.
“Unremitting honesty must at all times be the backbone of the legal profession,” <a href="https://cdn.arstechnica.net/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/2419-OPINION-IMPOSING-SANCTIONS-UNDER-C.R.C.P.-242.31-2.pdf" target="_blank" rel="noopener">the ruling</a> said. “When a lawyer repeatedly employs deceit and dishonesty to harm another person, that lawyer corrodes the integrity of the profession and threatens to compromise public confidence in the legal system.”
Choi joined the Denver DA’s office in May 2019 and was fired in November 2022 after an internal investigation found she had lied about her accusations against Hines. She made her first false allegation against Hines in 2021, and even though her accusation hadn’t been proven, he was transferred and told not to contact her. Over the next two years, Hines faced professional and reputational harm due to Choi’s continued false allegations against him. He has filed a lawsuit against Denver District Attorney Beth McCann over his treatment.
“I just felt like it was like a bad dream,” Hines told the Post. “You attempt to hold yourself to a certain standard, and when someone comes along and makes those kinds of allegations against you, it destroys you… I wouldn’t wish this upon anybody. After the first one, when I had no way to disprove it, I was living in hell… I felt there was no way out, that everything I had lived for and stood for was destroyed. I felt like it was an embarrassment.”
Choi’s first false allegations against Hines claimed he made an inappropriate sexual comment to her. He vehemently denied the allegation, and an investigation found no evidence to support Choi’s claim.
“I was told I couldn’t talk about it, but word got out about that allegation, and you can imagine the perception it creates — ‘He must have done something wrong because they moved him,’” Hines told the Post.
He also said that the investigation was incomplete and that leadership at the DA’s office seemed to suggest Choi should be believed – a regular sentiment in the workplace – and that she was courageous for reporting the allegations. A spokesperson for the DA’s office told the Post that the “investigations were handled appropriately.”
In 2022, Choi began her second round of allegations against Hines, this time claiming he sent her inappropriate text messages. She provided purported screenshots of the messages, but when internal investigators searched Hines’ phone, they found he had not sent any messages to Choi. Choi’s records, however, showed Hines had sent her messages.

Investigators went to Verizon to get the correct records and found that Choi had sent herself the messages after changing the name in her phone to make it appear as though the messages came from Hines. The investigation also found that Choi had altered her phone records to include Hines’ phone number before she provided those records to the probe.
When investigators asked to search her phone and laptop, Choi said she had accidentally dropped her phone in the bath and spilled water on her laptop computer, which destroyed the devices just days before they were supposed to be examined. The disciplinary panel found her explanation “not plausible.”
Hines also told the Post that he hopes his lawsuit will change the way internal investigations are conducted. He is seeking a public apology for the handling of Choi’s first allegation and wants to see her charged for her actions, though prosecutors have already declined to bring charges.
Few, if any, prosecutors are ever disbarred for their actions, no matter how grievous. One famous example is Mike Nifong, who pursued a case against innocent Duke Lacrosse players even after it became clear their accuser was lying.

Justin Baldoni’s lawyer has reached out to <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/disney">Disney</a>, requesting that the company retain all documents pertaining to the development of the Nicepool character in “Deadpool &amp; Wolverine.” 
The 40-year-old director of “<a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/entertainment">It Ends With Us</a>” claims that the character was modeled after him as a mockery, which helps prove his allegation that Blake Lively’s lawsuits against him are exaggerations. 
Baldoni’s co-star, Blake Lively, filed an 80-page <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/lawsuit">lawsuit</a> against Baldoni in December, accusing him of sexual harassment, retaliation, and attempting to “destroy” her reputation. The director responded by announcing his <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/never-witnessed-such-unethical-behavior-blake-livelys-co-star-countersues">intention to countersue</a> Lively, saying the actress engaged in “unethical behavior,” and intentionally misrepresented interactions to make Baldoni look guilty. 
Baldoni also <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/justin-baldoni-files-250m-libel-lawsuit-against-nyt-over-blake-lively-report">sued</a> The New York Times for $250 million in a defamation claim for an article about the drama, which he says is “rife with inaccuracies, misrepresentations, and omissions.”
Baldoni&#8217;s attorney, Bryan Freedman, sent a notice to Disney CEO Bob Iger, Marvel president Kevin Feige, and “Deadpool” director Tim Miller advising them that there were “anticipated claims” coming against Lively’s husband Ryan Reynolds, per <a href="https://variety.com/2025/film/news/justin-baldoni-legal-letter-disney-marvel-nicepool-ryan-reynolds-1236274162/">Variety</a>. 
The execs were instructed to preserve “any and all documents relating to the development of the ‘Nicepool’ character” as well as “communications relating to the development, writing, and filming of storylines and scenes featuring ‘Nicepool.’” 
The letter demanded that the studio retain “all documents relating to or reflecting a deliberate attempt to mock, harass, ridicule, intimidate, or bully Baldoni through the character of  &#8216;Nicepool.&#8217;”
Baldoni and his attorney claim that Reynolds was mocking Baldoni in “Deadpool &amp; Wolverine” via the character Nicepool, a knockoff version of the film’s protagonist Deadpool. The character has a man bun, which is a hairstyle Baldoni has worn, and refers to himself as a feminist, which Baldoni has also done publicly.
Disney released &#8220;Deadpool &amp; Wolverine&#8221; in July, during filming for “It Ends With Us.”
Some of Nicepool’s lines include, “Where in God’s name is the intimacy coordinator?!” and complimenting another character, Ladypool, for “snapping back” into shape after giving birth. Baldoni and his attorney say these are poorly veiled references to occurrences on the “It Ends With Us” set, which were mentioned in Lively’s lawsuit.

In the end credits of “Deadpool &amp; Wolverine,” the actor who plays Nicepool is listed as “Gordon Reynolds,” the outlet noted, which is<a href="https://www.eonline.com/news/1412199/blake-livelys-it-ends-with-us-credits-hint-at-deadpool-wolverine-connection"> reportedly</a> an alias for Ryan Reynolds. Lively thanked Gordon Reynolds in the end credits of “It Ends With Us.” 
Reynolds is a writer, producer, and star of “Deadpool” but has never confirmed the connection between Baldoni and Nicepool. Fans have speculated that the character is based on Baldoni since the film’s release. 
Freedman discussed the similarities between his client and the character during an appearance on “The Megyn Kelly Show” last week. He said the inclusion of Nicepool undermined Lively and Reynold’s claims of sexual harassment. 
“There’s no question it relates to Justin. I mean, anybody that watched that hair bun,” Freedman told Kelly. “If somebody is seriously sexually harassed, you don’t make fun of it. It’s a serious issue,” he said.

Daniel Penny, who was acquitted of causing the death of Jordan Neely on a New York City subway, is seeking the dismissal of a civil lawsuit filed by Neely’s father.
Andre Zachery filed <a href="https://nypost.com/2024/12/05/us-news/jordan-neelys-father-sues-daniel-penny-as-nyc-jury-deliberates-verdict-for-subway-chokehold-death/?utm_campaign=nypost&amp;utm_medium=social&amp;utm_source=twitter" target="_blank" rel="noopener">a lawsuit</a> against Penny in December, shortly before a jury found Penny not guilty of criminally negligent homicide, demanding “judgment awarding damages in a sum which exceeds the jurisdictional limits of all lower Courts which would otherwise have jurisdiction.” Penny’s attorneys are seeking to get that lawsuit dismissed, Fox News <a href="https://www.foxnews.com/us/daniel-penny-demands-dismissal-civil-lawsuit-from-jordan-neely-father.amp" target="_blank" rel="noopener">reported</a>.
Zachery, who was not a part of Neely’s life, alleged that Penny caused the death of his son and should pay him for it.

Penny’s attorneys, Steven Raiser and Thomas Kenniff, also released a statement defending Penny against the charges brought against their client in what they described as the “largest and most resourced” district attorney’s office in America.
&#8220;The result was a full acquittal and a verdict that underscored New Yorkers’ belief in their right to defend themselves and their neighbors from random violence,&#8221; the attorneys told Fox News Digital. &#8220;We are committed to defending this ill-conceived civil action brought by Jordan Neely’s estranged father with the same vigor with which we defended the criminal case.&#8221;

Penny was found <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/breaking-daniel-penny-found-not-guilty" target="_blank" rel="noopener">not guilty</a> on December 9, after the district attorney’s office dropped its second-degree manslaughter charge against him when the jury failed to return a verdict.
Jurors were initially tasked with determining whether Penny “recklessly” caused the death of Neely by using the chokehold – or second-degree manslaughter – or if he was guilty of criminally negligent homicide, a lesser charge that carried a maximum sentence of four years in prison. According to court documents, the lesser charge required the jury to determine Penny failed to recognize Neely’s life was at risk as he held him in the chokehold.
The manslaughter charge was dismissed the Friday before the jury reached its final verdict, and it took them less than an hour to return a not guilty verdict for the lesser charge of criminally negligent homicide.

The Biden administration’s attempt to rewrite Title IX to allow men in women’s sports, locker rooms, and bathrooms, has been struck down nationwide by a federal court.
Twenty-six states sued to stop the regulations from going into effect, and the Supreme Court in August provided a temporary stay of the rules. But now a federal court has <a href="https://adfmedialegalfiles.blob.core.windows.net/files/TennesseeAppellateOpinion.pdf">blocked</a> the regulations from going into effect for all states – even those that didn’t sue to block the regulations.
Indiana Attorney General Todd Rokita, one of the attorneys general who led the charge against the change to Title IX, called the latest ruling a “huge win.”

The Biden administration attempted to redefine “sex” as it is defined under Title IX, a statute that prohibits sex-based discrimination at schools that receive federal funding. The Biden administration’s definition of “sex” included “gender identity,” which would allow biological males to compete against women in women’s sports, an unfairness that has already cost hundreds of women scholarships and medal opportunities.
President-elect Donald Trump has said he would keep men out of women’s sports, and told radio hosts Clay Travis and Buck Sexton in August that he would do so on the first day of his administration.

<a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/cnn" target="_blank" rel="noopener">CNN</a> is under fire as Navy veteran Zachary Young testifies in his $1 billion lawsuit against the network, telling judge and jury that a CNN report that aired November 11, 2021, had &#8220;destroyed his reputation and business.&#8221;
Young&#8217;s suit alleges that the segment — which aired on &#8220;The Lead&#8221; with anchor Jake Tapper and featured reporting by correspondent Alex Marquardt — incorrectly implied that he had profited illegally from his efforts to aid in the evacuation of &#8220;desperate Afghans&#8221; who were trying to flee the country in the wake of President Joe Biden&#8217;s disastrous military withdrawal from Afghanistan months earlier.
As <a href="https://www.foxnews.com/media/cia-trained-navy-veteran-details-very-devastating-impact-cnn-segment-had-his-life-labeled-criminal" target="_blank" rel="noopener">reported</a> by Fox News Digital, &#8220;14th Judicial Circuit Court Judge William S. Henry, who is presiding over the trial in Bay County, Florida, has already ruled that Young &#8216;did not act illegally or criminally&#8217; despite what the network reported on air. Judge Henry has also declared the court found Young &#8216;did not take money from Afghans.'&#8221;
CNN&#8217;s reporting painted a very different picture, however. Twice before the November 11 segment even aired, Tapper had teased a story about &#8220;desperate Afghans still trying to escape the country being preyed on by folks demanding that they pay up big time to get out.&#8221;
Tapper then introduced Marquardt&#8217;s report, saying, &#8220;Afghans trying to get out of the country face a black market full of promises, demands of exorbitant fees, and no guarantee of safety or success.&#8221;
Marquardt&#8217;s report focused on Young, claiming that the Navy veteran had asked for &#8220;prices well beyond the reach of most Afghans&#8221; in exchange for his efforts to help them escape the Taliban-controlled country.
&#8220;In a text message, he told CNN that Afghans trying to leave are expected to have sponsors pay for them,&#8221; Marquardt explained, also noting that Young had attributed the &#8220;volatile&#8221; high costs attached to evacuation to &#8220;environmental realities.&#8221;
Marquardt went on to say that Young had declined to share a detailed explanation of the costs, adding, &#8220;In another message, that person offering those evacuations, Zachary Young, he wrote, ‘Availability is extremely limited, and demand is high’… he goes on to say, ‘That’s how economics works, unfortunately.'&#8221;
The segment concluded with interviews of two anonymous Afghans — with whom Young says he never had contact — who told CNN that they hoped to evacuate family members from the country, but were afraid they could not afford to do so.
<a href="https://newsbusters.org/blogs/nb/nicholas-fondacaro/2025/01/07/facts-didnt-matter-testimony-cnn-defamation-trial-begins" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Young&#8217;s defense</a> is set to focus on a number of text messages that his attorneys say make it clear that some at the network were aware prior to airing the story that it was &#8220;full of holes.&#8221;
Young&#8217;s attorney Kyle Roche, during Tuesday&#8217;s opening statements, claimed that the CNN report was &#8220;reckless&#8221; and that the network had &#8220;set out to destroy Zach’s reputation.&#8221;
&#8220;They didn’t care about the truth. They cared about theater and they cared about ratings,&#8221; he said, previewing internal messages from CNN editors who stated that Marquardt&#8217;s report was &#8220;full of holes like Swiss cheese&#8221; and &#8220;80 percent emotion and 20 percent obscured fact.&#8221;
During Young&#8217;s testimony, which began Tuesday and continued on Wednesday, a series of messages between Marquardt and Young were presented as evidence. The exchange showed that Marquardt had told Young he planned to go ahead with the story, but then only gave him a two-hour window in which to respond to multiple questions.

Young replied, saying that the story&#8217;s claims were not accurate and the deadline was not reasonable — and threatened legal action against the network if they ran with it anyway.

Following the report, Young said on the stand that he had been in therapy and placed on medication after suffering multiple panic attacks a day. He also said that he&#8217;d not been able to work since the report came out — and that when he&#8217;d tried to offer his assistance with evacuations in Sudan, his posts were &#8220;flooded&#8221; with &#8220;hate echoing what CNN said&#8221; in the reports about him.

Emmanuel &#8220;Manny&#8221; Hostin, husband of ABC News personality Sunny Hostin, is one of 200 defendants who were named in a massive RICO case filed in New York City just before Christmas.
According to an <a href="https://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-14243993/The-View-Sunny-Hostin-surgeon-husband-Emmanuel-insurance-fraud-claim.html?ito=social-twitter_dailymailus" target="_blank" rel="noopener">exclusive report</a> published by The Daily Mail, Hostin and many others have been accused of taking &#8220;kickbacks&#8221; and submitting fraudulent bills to an insurance company that typically insures Uber and Lyft drivers and cab companies.
The lawsuit, filed December 17, alleges that &#8220;Hostin knowingly provided fraudulent medical and other healthcare services including arthroscopic surgeries,&#8221; and then reportedly billed American Transit insurance &#8220;in exchange for kickbacks and/or other compensation which were disguised as dividends or other cash distributions.&#8221;
Daniel Thwaites, an attorney representing Hostin, gave a statement to The Daily Mail, saying that his client &#8220;denies each and every allegation&#8221; and referring to the suit as a &#8220;blanket, scattershot, meritless lawsuit by a near-bankrupt insurance carrier.&#8221;
Thwaites further alleged that the insurance company was intentionally &#8220;abusing the legal system&#8221; in an effort to &#8220;restrict health care benefits to its insureds and their passengers, and write off its proper obligations.&#8221;
&#8220;It is meant to intimidate and harass doctors from collecting for care given to American Transit insureds and their passengers,&#8221; Thwaites added. &#8220;American Transit has rushed into the lawsuit without ever conducting an examination of Dr. Hostin or expressing any concerns to his lawyers.&#8221;

An Ohio teacher who resigned after refusing to use students’ preferred pronouns and names will receive a $450,000 settlement from her school district.
Vivian Geraghty sued the Jackson Local School District in 2022, and the settlement was reached last month, the New York Post <a href="https://nypost.com/2025/01/04/us-news/ohio-teacher-vivian-geraghty-who-refused-students-preferred-pronouns-wins-450k/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">reported</a> over the weekend. She was aided in her suit by Alliance Defending Freedom, which released <a href="https://www.nbc4i.com/news/local-news/central-ohio-news/450000-settlement-for-ohio-teacher-who-refused-to-use-students-pronouns/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">a statement</a> to NBC4 late last week.
“The school tried to force Vivian to accept and repeat the school’s viewpoint on issues that go to the foundation of morality and human identity, like what makes us male or female, by ordering her to personally participate in the social transition of her students,” said Logan Spena, legal counsel for ADF. “The First Amendment prohibits that abuse of power, and Jackson Local School District officials have learned that comes at a steep cost.”
Geraghty said in her lawsuit that she was told to resign from the district’s middle school language arts position. The U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Ohio ruled in August that being forced to use preferred pronouns and names or face disciplinary action amounted to “compelled speech.” The court also found that the school’s “pronoun practice was not neutral.”
In its own statement, Jackson Local Schools told NBC4 that it “remains dedicated to navigating complex and changing legal environments in a manner that prioritizes student safety and well-being.”
In August 2022, on the first day of school, two students asked Geraghty to call them by different names than appeared on school information. Geraghty said she knew the names were “part of the student’s social transition” but declined to accommodate them due to her religious beliefs. She also said she “wanted those students out of her classroom.”
For the next week, Geraghty referred to the two students by their real names, even when one asked through e-mail to be called an alternative name. This student then went to a school counselor and wrote, “one of my teachers dead-naming me all the time in class.”

Another teacher then went to the principal “to seek an accommodation so that students would not continue to feel uncomfortable.” Geraghty told the principal that, due to her religious views, she wouldn’t call the students by their preferred names and pronouns and “wouldn’t be comfortable using preferred names or pronouns because she would know what was behind it.”
The principal and another district employee called Geraghty in for a second meeting and told her that “it was going to be a problem” if she didn’t comply with the students’ requests. Geraghty said she was then called in for a third meeting and told that if she wouldn’t comply, “then we need a letter of resignation effective today.” The principal and other participant in this meeting dispute this, saying Geraghty told them: “I’ll guess I’ll resign.”
ADF argued that the school did not offer Geraghty other alternatives, such as moving her to a different classroom or allowing her to address the students by their last names.

Teacher Who Refused To Use Preferred Pronouns Gets $450K Settlement

Justin Baldoni, <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/entertainment">director</a> and star of the hit Hollywood drama <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/hollywood">“It Ends With Us</a>,” is suing <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/new-york-times">The New York Times</a> for $250 million for an article he says is “rife with inaccuracies, misrepresentations, and omissions.”
The actor has been engaged in a bitter legal battle with actress Blake Lively, his co-star in the movie, following the publication of a 4,000 word NYT article titled, “‘We Can Bury Anyone’: Inside a Hollywood Smear Machine,” which was published on December 21. The article details Lively’s complaints about Baldoni on set, ranging from sexual harassment to retaliation and attempting to “destroy” her reputation.
Lively <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/lawsuit">sued</a> Baldoni, who responded with a counter-lawsuit claiming he was the real victim. Now, the director is suing The New York Times for allegedly omitting details from the article to make him look guilty.
Baldoni was dropped by his talent agency, WME, following the publication of the article, per <a href="https://variety.com/2024/film/news/justin-baldoni-sues-new-york-times-blake-lively-allegations-story-1236263099/">Variety</a>. The same agency represents Lively and her husband, Ryan Reynolds.
“Lively’s cynical abuse of sexual harassment allegations to assert unilateral control over every aspect of the production was both strategic and manipulative,” Baldoni’s lawsuit says. “Simultaneously, her public image suffered as a result of a series of high-profile blunders, which she tried to deflect by blaming Plaintiffs for the public’s prying interest into the foibles of an A-list celebrity. This is nothing but an excuse. Fame is a double-edged sword, but Lively’s tactics here are unconscionable.”
The suit accuses the NYT of failing to exhibit “journalistic integrity” because the article&#8217;s writers “relied almost entirely on Lively’s unverified and self-serving narrative, lifting it nearly verbatim while disregarding an abundance of evidence that contradicted her claims and exposed her true motives.”
One example is the widely reported story of Baldoni entering Lively’s trailer uninvited. The director’s lawsuit includes a full text exchange from June 2, 2023, in which Lively discusses new script pages she had not received from her assistant. She wrote to Baldoni, “I’m just pumping in my trailer if you wanna work out our lines.” 
Baldoni replied, “Copy. Eating with crew and will head that way.” 
The NYT wrote of that interaction, “[Baldoni] repeatedly entered her makeup trailer uninvited while she was undressed, including when she was breastfeeding.”
A spokesperson for the outlet told <a href="https://www.cnn.com/2024/12/31/entertainment/justin-baldoni-blake-lively-lawsuit/index.html">CNN</a> that they will “vigorously defend against the lawsuit.”
“The role of an independent news organization is to follow the facts where they lead,” spokesperson Danielle Rhoades Ha said in a statement Tuesday. 
“Our story was meticulously and responsibly reported. It was based on a review of thousands of pages of original documents, including the text messages and emails that we quote accurately and at length in the article. To date, Wayfarer Studios, Mr. Baldoni, the other subjects of the article and their representatives have not pointed to a single error. Justin Baldoni Files $250M Libel Lawsuit Against NYT Over Blake Lively Report

“<a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/movies">It Ends With Us</a>” director and star Justin Baldoni is counter-suing actress <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/celebrities">Blake Lively</a>, with his lawyer saying the “truth” will be exposed in this new filing.
Lively, 37, initially filed an 80-page <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/lawsuit" target="_blank" rel="noopener">lawsuit</a> against Baldoni earlier this month, accusing him of sexual harassment, retaliation, and attempting to “destroy” her reputation.
Now, Baldoni is claiming Lively is the real villain of this saga. His lawyer, Bryan Freedman, told <a href="https://people.com/justin-baldoni-lawyer-bryan-freedman-says-new-lawsuit-will-expose-truth-about-blake-lively-legal-complaint-exclusive-8767327">People</a>, &#8220;This is not a response or countersuit — it’s a deliberate pursuit of truth.”
“This lawsuit will uncover and expose the false and destructive narrative that was intentionally engineered by a trusted media publication who relied upon nefarious sources and neglected a thorough fact checking process to confirm the validity of these texts,” Freedman told the outlet, referencing a story that ran in The New York Times on December 21 that included snippets of text conversations Baldoni claims were taken out of context.
He continued, “There is an insurmountable collection of authentic evidence, including timelines and communications, which have not been doctored or spliced without context.” 
“In over three decades of legal practice, I’ve never witnessed such unethical behavior, fueled by those who abuse their power and manipulate the truth,” Freedman’s statement went on. “This isn’t an isolated case; it’s a recurring pattern in Hollywood and the mainstream media where careers and reputations are destroyed to maintain control.”
The lawyer concluded by saying, “Legacy media has long weaponized their platforms to distort the truth, exploit vulnerabilities, and destroy lives without accountability.” 
“These lawsuits will confront this system head-on, ensuring that no individual or entity, no matter how influential, can continue perpetuating this cycle of fear and destruction. The truth will not only come to light — it will dismantle the illusions propped up by those who believe themselves untouchable,” he said. 
Freedman previously <a href="https://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-14234779/justin-baldoni-blake-lively-shock-countersuit.html">told</a> The Daily Mail that the countersuit would “shock everyone.”
Prior to Lively filing the lawsuit, there were rumors of tension on the set of “It Ends With Us,” a romantic drama based on the best-selling Colleen Hoover book of the same name. Those rumors were confirmed after Lively made her filing, which detailed alleged incidents such as Baldoni speaking negatively about her weight, discussing his sex life, and compelling the actress to reveal her religious beliefs, as The Daily Wire previously <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/blake-lively-accuses-it-ends-with-us-co-star-of-harassment-trying-to-destroy-her-reputation">reported</a>. 
Lively also said Baldoni violated boundaries by entering her trailer uninvited and having inappropriate conversations with her about sexual topics. She said she was threatened with retaliation for publicizing the complaints.

Rapper <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/jay-z">Jay-Z</a> will not have his petition to dismiss <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/sexual-assault">rape accusations</a> granted, U.S. District Judge Analisa Torres ruled on Thursday.
The anonymous <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/lawsuit">plaintiff</a> accused the 55-year-old recording artist and Sean “Diddy” Combs of sexually assaulting her when she was 13. Jay-Z, whose real name is Shawn Carter, vehemently denied the allegations and immediately motioned to dismiss the case. 
The judge also chastised Carter&#8217;s lawyer for “relentless filing of combative motions containing inflammatory language and ad hominem attacks [on accuser’s lawyer, Tony Buzbee],” per a court order obtained by <a href="https://variety.com/2024/music/news/jay-z-accuser-remain-anonymous-judge-criticizes-his-lawyers-1236260405/">Variety</a>. “Since Carter’s attorney first appeared in this case seventeen days ago, he has submitted a litany of letters and motions attempting to impugn the character of Plaintiff’s lawyer [Buzbee],” the document said.

The judge further described the flurry of complaints as “inappropriate, a waste of judicial resources, and a tactic unlikely to benefit his client [Jay-Z].”
Judge Torres also ruled that the plaintiff may remain anonymous for the time being, CBS News <a href="https://www.cbsnews.com/news/rape-lawsuit-against-jay-z-sean-diddy-combs-accuser-can-remain-anonymous/">reported</a>.
The Jane Doe originally filed the claim against Combs in October. It was re-filed earlier this month to include Jay-Z as an additional defendant, making him the first other person named in the multiple cases against Diddy. 
She claims that after the VMAs in 2000, Carter held her down and raped her while Combs and an unnamed female celebrity watched, followed by Combs allegedly raping her while the woman stayed and observed.
Jay-Z issued his denial via social media through his Roc Nation account, as The Daily Wire previously <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/jay-z-issues-denial-to-rape-claim-we-dont-play-these-games">reported</a>. 
“These allegations are so heinous in nature that I implore you to file a criminal complaint, not a civil one!! Whomever would commit such a crime against a minor should be locked away, would you not agree? These alleged victims would deserve real justice if that were the case,” the statement said in part.
“You have made a terrible error in judgment thinking that all ‘celebrities’ are the same. I’m not from your moral world. I’m a young man who made it out of the project of Brooklyn,” the letter went on. “We don’t play these types of games. We have very strict codes and honor. We protect children, you seem to exploit people for personal gain. Only your network of conspiracy theorists, fake physics, will believe the idiotic claims you have levied against me that, if not for the seriousness surrounding harm to kids, would be laughable.”
Combs is currently being held in a Brooklyn jail awaiting trial, which is scheduled to begin in May.

Two Congressional California Democrat House members are being <a href="https://www.israelnationalnews.com/news/401234" target="_blank" rel="noopener">targeted</a> by anti-Israel groups after they voted for $26.38 billion in military aid to Israel last April.
Some residents of Northern California have filed a lawsuit targeting Democrat Reps. Mike Thompson and Jared Huffman, alleging the plaintiffs caused “moral and emotional/psychic injury” to taxpayers by their vote. The lawsuit attempts to bar the two congressmen from approving future military aid to Israel.
Last January, U.S. District Judge Jeffrey White of Oakland, who in 2012 ruled against the Defense of Marriage Act,  dismissed a lawsuit by anti-Israel forces who wanted to force the Biden administration to withdraw support for Israel&#8217;s war against Hamas. But he also <a href="https://www.nytimes.com/2024/01/31/world/middleeast/joe-biden-israel-support.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">contended</a>, “It is plausible that Israel’s conduct amounts to genocide,” and <a href="https://www.sfchronicle.com/politics/article/israel-gaza-genocide-lawsuit-oakland-18640646.php">declared</a> that Israel’s efforts were “intended to eradicate a whole people and therefore plausibly falls within the international prohibition against genocide.”
Last month, a courageous woman from Kenya who serves as the United Nations Special Advisor on the Prevention of Genocide was fired after she stood up to the Israel-haters in the U.N. and refused to declare that Israel has committed “genocide” in its war against Hamas, according to The Wall Street Journal.
“Alice Nderitu said Israel’s campaign in Gaza doesn’t meet the definition of genocide. She was fired,” The Wall Street Journal editorial board <a href="https://www.wsj.com/opinion/the-u-ns-anti-israel-genocide-purge-c8feef1a" target="_blank" rel="noopener">wrote</a>. “On Wednesday the U.N. will refuse to renew the contract of Alice Wairimu Nderitu, the Kenyan who is the Special Advisor on the Prevention of Genocide.”
“As a legal matter, establishing a pattern of violence as a genocide requires demonstrating intent,” WSJ explained, adding, “Israel’s campaign of self-defense doesn’t qualify. Within weeks after the Hamas massacre of more than 1200 Israelis, Thompson issued a <a href="https://www.sfchronicle.com/politics/article/thompson-huffman-israel-lawsuit-19991013.php" target="_blank" rel="noopener">statement</a> in which he said, “Israel has a right to defend itself and its people from terrorism like we saw on October 7, but they must do so while prioritizing the safety of civilians. President Biden is correct in reminding Israel that its military response must respect international law. Notwithstanding Hamas’ well-documented strategy of using innocent Palestinians as human shields, every effort must be made to minimize non-combatant civilian casualties and avoid any form of collective punishment.”
Thompson’s office also has issued a statement apparently designed to pacify anti-Israel forces, saying, “Congressman Thompson understands that it has been the civilian population that has paid the cost of Hamas’ terrorist attack on Israel and he remains gravely concerned about the scale of civilian loss in this war. That’s why he has advocated and continues to advocate for the Biden Administration to work with the State Department and our allies to help secure a negotiated bilateral ceasefire, the immediate release of all hostages, and the establishment of a two-state solution to ensure peace and self-determination for the Palestinian and Israeli people.”
