Rioters in California destroyed a statue of Ulysses S. Grant (not the one featured in the image above) on Friday night as far-left activists continue to destroy statues across the U.S.
Grant, a Republican who served as America&#8217;s 18th president, played a key role in helping then-President Abraham Lincoln win the Civil War.

Politico reporter Marc Caputo tweeted out a video of the incident, writing: &#8220;Lost Cause meet Crazy Cause: using Juneteenth to tear down of [sic] the San Fran. statue of Ulysses S. Grant —who won the Civil War that led to emancipation, long before had freed the 1 slave he had been given &amp; who was later eulogized by Frederick Douglass.&#8221;

Grant also aggressively went after the Ku Klux Klan, whose <a href="https://twitter.com/tedcruz/status/1263608867134615553">founder</a> Confederate General Nathan Bedford Forrest was a <a href="https://www.loc.gov/pictures/item/2008661705/">Democrat</a>.
History <a href="https://www.history.com/this-day-in-history/ku-klux-act-passed-by-congress">reported</a> that the KKK terrorized blacks and Republicans in the South during the era of Reconstruction:

Congress responded to the violence by passing a series of bills that allowed Grant to use military force to protect the rights of blacks.

Grant to use the armed forces to combat those who conspired to deny equal protection of the laws and, if necessary, to suspend habeas corpus to enforce the act,&#8221; Politico <a href="https://www.politico.com/story/2019/04/20/this-day-in-politics-april-20-1279376">reported</a>. &#8220;Grant signed the legislation on this day in 1871. After the act’s passage, the president for the first time had the power to suppress state disorders on his own initiative and suspend the right of habeas corpus. Grant did not hesitate to use this authority.&#8221;
Politico added, &#8220;Shortly after Congress approved the law, nine counties in South Carolina, where KKK terrorism was rampant, were placed under martial law and thousands of persons were arrested.&#8221;

An incident involving a man who wore a KKK hood to a San Diego-area Vons grocery store that drew national attention will result in no charges, the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department announced this week, citing a Supreme Court ruling as grounds for taking no additional action.
The incident took place at a Vons on Mission Gorge Road in Santee, a San Diego-area suburb, on May 2 — a day after San Diego County mandated face coverings in public. Customers noticed a middle-aged, camouflage shirt-wearing shopper pushing a cart around, his head covered in a KKK hood.
Vons corporate spokesperson Melissa Hill says that the man was repeatedly asked by employees to remove the hood. When he finally arrived at the check-out line, a supervisor again insisted that he remove it, at which point the man finally conceded and took off the inflammatory garment. He then purchased his items and left the store without incident.
&#8220;At Vons, fostering an environment of courtesy, dignity and respect is one of our highest priorities, and we work hard to hold everyone in our stores to these standards, including customers,&#8221; said Hill.

Having drawn national attention, and <a href="https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/man-who-wore-kkk-hood-to-san-diego-area-grocery-store-wont-be-charged/ar-BB13Z4n6">rebuke</a> from the Anti-Defamation League in San Diego as well as local officials, authorities looked closely into the matter, reviewing surveillance footage, interviewing witnesses, and conferring with the U.S. Attorney’s Office and the San Diego County District Attorney’s Office, but ultimately determined that no charges would be brought.
In a <a href="https://www.sdsheriff.net">statement</a> issued Monday, the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department announced that there was not enough evidence to bring any charges against the man.
&#8220;The man expressed frustration with the coronavirus and having people tell him what he can and cannot do,&#8221; the statement reads (full statement below). &#8220;He said that wearing the hood was not intended to be a racial statement. In summary he said, &#8216;It was a mask and it was stupid.'&#8221;
&#8220;After the interrogation, detectives conferred with both the U.S. Attorney&#8217;s Office and the San Diego County District Attorney&#8217;s Office,&#8221; the department explains. &#8220;Witnesses to the incident were interviewed and video evidence was scrutinized. An analysis of all relevant criminal statutes was undertaken. As a result, it was determined there was insufficient evidence to charge the man who wore the Ku Klux Klan hood inside the store.&#8221;
The department then cites the U.S. Supreme Court precedent on &#8220;hate speech,&#8221; asserting, &#8220;[s]peech that demeans on the basis of race, ethnicity, gender, religion, age, disability, or any other similar ground is hateful; but the proudest boast of our free speech jurisprudence is that we protect the freedom to express the thought that we hate.'&#8221;
&#8220;That said, this incident should serve as a reminder for anyone contemplating wearing or displaying items so closely associated with hate and human suffering that our society does not hold in high regard those who do so,&#8221; the announcement concludes. &#8220;Santee is a city of families and the community is rightfully disgusted at this man&#8217;s despicable behavior. Harkening back to his &#8220;they want to put y&#8217;all back in chains&#8221; <a href="https://www.cbsnews.com/news/biden-tells-african-american-audience-gop-ticket-would-put-them-back-in-chains/">moment</a> from the 2012 presidential election, former Vice President Joe Biden lumped President Trump in with the KKK while speaking over the weekend before a predominantly black church in South Carolina.
“What I realized is that hate just hides. And it when it comes out from under the rocks, when it gets a little bit of oxygen. This president and his — the Ku Klux Klan and the rest of them, they think they’ve beaten us again but they have no idea. We’re just coming back,&#8221; Biden said before the congregation at Bethlehem Baptist Church.
Biden made his comments while reflecting upon the president&#8217;s statement following the August 2017 Charlottesville protest, in which he famously said that there were &#8220;very fine people on both sides.&#8221; Prior to seemingly comparing the president to the KKK, Biden reflected upon the advancements of the civil rights movement and expressed fear that President Trump has taken America back one hundred years.
“Folks, some mornings I wake up and I think it’s more like what it must have been in 1920 than 2020,” Biden said, as reported by <a href="https://www.foxnews.com/politics/biden-speaks-against-racism-lumps-trump-in-with-kkk-during-speech-before-black-congregation">Fox News</a>. “I thought you could defeat hate … hate only hides.”
Recalling Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.&#8217;s famous &#8220;I have a dream&#8221; speech, Biden urged everyone to keep fighting.
“Dr. King didn’t give up on the dream,&#8221; he said. &#8220;And I’m asking you all, don’t give up on it. Don’t give up now. We can defeat this moment of hate.”
Former Vice President Joe Biden has a history of deploying racial division to maximum political effect in front of black audiences, such as when he said that Republicans &#8220;want to put y&#8217;all back in chains&#8221; during the height of the 2012 presidential campaign.
“Romney wants to let the — he said in the first hundred days, he’s going to let the big banks once again write their own rules, unchain Wall Street,” <a href="https://www.cbsnews.com/news/biden-tells-african-american-audience-gop-ticket-would-put-them-back-in-chains/">Biden said</a>. “They’re going to put you all back in chains.”
Biden has been playing the &#8220;Trump supports white supremacists&#8221; card <a href="https://www.cnn.com/2019/04/25/politics/joe-biden-2020-president/index.html">since the release of his first 2020 presidential campaign video</a>, framing the race as a &#8220;battle for the soul of this nation.&#8221;
&#8220;He said there were quote some very fine people on both sides,&#8221; Biden said. &#8220;With those words, the president of the United States assigned a moral equivalence between those spreading hate and those with the courage to stand against it. And in that moment, I knew the threat to this nation was unlike any I had ever seen in my lifetime.&#8221;
&#8220;The core values of this nation, our standing in the world, our very democracy, everything that has made America, America, is at stake,&#8221; he continued. &#8220;That&#8217;s why today I&#8217;m announcing my candidacy for president of the United States.&#8221;
Despite positioning himself as the great moral crusader, Biden took a hit in credibility last year <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/now-joe-biden-regrets-segregationist-remarks-paul-bois">when he praised</a> two former segregationists with whom he worked during his early years in the Senate for being &#8220;civil.&#8221; Though Biden apologized for the remarks, his continual gaffes since then have only further tarnished his image, such as <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/biden-poor-kids-just-bright-and-talented-white-paul-bois">when he said</a>: &#8220;Poor kids are just as bright and talented as white kids.&#8221;

In a soon-to-be-aired documentary centered around U.S. Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas and his circus-like confirmation process, the conservative justice reportedly rips into the the &#8220;modern-day liberal&#8221; and suggests that the Left has been more of an impediment to him over his career than even the Ku Klux Klan.
&#8220;I felt as though, in my life, I had been looking at the wrong people as the people who would be problematic toward me,&#8221; Thomas reportedly says in the documentary, according to <a href="https://abcnews.go.com/Politics/justice-clarence-thomas-rebukes-biden-led-confirmation-hearings/story?id=67235780" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">ABC News.</a> &#8220;We were told that, &#8216;Oh, it&#8217;s gonna be the bigot in the pickup truck; it&#8217;s gonna be the Klansmen; it&#8217;s gonna be the rural sheriff.'&#8221;
&#8220;But it turned out that through all of that, ultimately the biggest impediment was the modern-day liberal,&#8221; the justice continued. &#8220;They were the ones who would discount all those things because they have one issue or because they have the power to caricature you.&#8221;
The documentary, titled, &#8220;Created Equal: Clarence Thomas in His Own Words,&#8221; is set to air on PBS in 2020, according to <a href="https://www.manifoldproductions.com/aboutus.html">Manifold Productions</a>, an independent film and television production company.
&#8220;Although Clarence Thomas remains a controversial figure, loved by some, reviled by others, few know much more than a few headlines and the recollections of his contentious confirmation battle with Anita Hill,&#8221; the production company describes the <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PCmfX4hQwZw">documentary</a>. &#8220;With unprecedented access, the producers interviewed Justice Clarence Thomas and his wife, Virginia, for over 30 hours of interview time, over many months. Justice Thomas tells his entire life’s story, looking directly at the camera, speaking frankly to the audience.&#8221;
&#8220;Unscripted and without narration, the documentary takes the viewer through this complex and often painful life, dealing with race, faith, power, jurisprudence, and personal resilience,&#8221; Manifold Productions adds.
The trailer for the documentary was first released at the end of October, though it&#8217;s received new life since ABC News&#8217; scoop on Justice Thomas&#8217; harsh words about the &#8220;modern-day liberal.&#8221;
In the trailer, Thomas claims he was targeted by the Left because he dared to think in a way a black man was not expected or allowed to.
&#8220;I mean, come on, we know what this is all about,&#8221; he says at the end of the trailer. &#8220;This is the wrong black guy; he has to be destroyed.&#8221;
Thomas, who was nominated for the Supreme Court in 1991 by then-President George H. W. Bush, underwent a rocky confirmation process after he was accused of dubious acts of sexual misconduct by Anita Hill.
“Senator, I would like to start by saying unequivocally, uncategorically, that I deny each and every single allegation against me today that suggested in any way that I had conversations of a sexual nature or about pornographic material with Anita Hill, that I ever attempted to date her, that I ever had any personal sexual interest in her, or that I in any way ever harassed her,” Thomas said before the Senate Judiciary Committee on October 11, 1991, according to <a href="https://www.americanrhetoric.com/speeches/clarencethomashightechlynching.htm">American Rhetoric</a>.
Thomas went on call the hearings a &#8220;circus,&#8221; a &#8220;national disgrace,&#8221; and most memorably, &#8220;a high-tech lynching.&#8221;
“This is not a closed room,” he said. “There was an FBI investigation. This is not an opportunity to talk about difficult matters privately or in a closed environment. This is a circus. It’s a national disgrace.”
“And from my standpoint as a black American, as far as I’m concerned, it is a high-tech lynching for uppity blacks who in any way deign to think for themselves, to do for themselves, to have different ideas, and it is a message that unless you kowtow to an old order, this is what will happen to you,” Thomas declared. “You will be lynched, destroyed, caricatured by a committee of the U.S. — U.S. Senate, rather than hung from a tree.”

In an interview with CNN&#8217;s Anderson Cooper that aired Monday after Trump gave a speech calling for unity and condemning white supremacy and all forms of racial hatred, Democratic presidential frontrunner Joe Biden compared Trump&#8217;s rhetoric to that of the Ku Klux Klan and accused him of having &#8220;flat abandoned the theory that we are one people.&#8221;
In a televised speech from the White House Monday, President Trump addressed the horrific mass shootings in El Paso and Dayton, which took the lives of at least 29 people and injured dozens more, by condemning all forms of &#8220;racist hate,&#8221; particularly white supremacy, which appears to have motivated the El Paso shooter.
&#8220;The shooter in El Paso posted a manifesto online, consumed by racist hate,&#8221; said the president. &#8220;In one voice our nation must condemn racism, bigotry and white supremacy. These sinister ideologies must be defeated. Hate has no place in America. Hatred warps the mind, ravages the heart and devours the soul.&#8221;
The president also called for greater unity and bipartisanship to address the growing problem of mass shootings. &#8220;We cannot allow ourselves to feel powerless. We can and will stop this evil contagion,&#8221; he said. &#8220;In that task, we must honor the sacred memory of those we have lost, by acting as one people. Open wounds cannot heal if we are divided. We must seek real bipartisan solutions – we have to do that, in a bipartisan manner – that will truly make America safer and better for all.&#8221;
In an interview after Trump&#8217;s call for a greater sense of unity in the country, Biden blasted the president as a divider who uses &#8220;dog whistles&#8221; to stir up racism and fear – just like &#8220;the Ku Klux Klan&#8221; and Andrew Jackson.
Cooper set up Biden&#8217;s brutal critique of Trump by asking about what is &#8220;behind the rhetoric&#8221; of the president, which the host framed as &#8220;an effort basically to stoke white supremacists or nationalists to at least give them a dog whistle.&#8221;
&#8220;They do have a dog whistle. They do have a dog whistle,&#8221; said Biden (partial transcript via <a href="https://www.realclearpolitics.com/video/2019/08/05/biden_trump_has_said_things_no_other_president_has_said_since_andrew_jackson.html">RCP</a>). &#8220;Look, this is a president who has said things no other president has said since Andrew Jackson. Nobody said anything like the things he&#8217;s saying. And the idea that this doesn&#8217;t contribute to or legitimate or make it more rational for people to think that we, in fact, can now speak out, we can speak out and be more straightforward and make this an issue.&#8221;
&#8220;We&#8217;ve been through this before,&#8221; Biden continued. &#8220;We went through this before in the &#8217;20s with the Ku Klux Klan and 50,000 people walking down Pennsylvania Avenue in their hats and robes because they decided they didn&#8217;t want Catholics coming into the country. We went through it after the Civil War in terms of the Ku Klux Klan and white supremacy. This is about separating people and the good and bad in his mind. &#8230; It is about access to power. It is a trait used by charlatans all over the world, divide people, divide them and pit them against one another.&#8221;
Cooper then offered Biden some phrasing to give his critique even more edge. &#8220;If that is the case, I mean it is a very dangerous game then that he is playing,&#8221; said Cooper.
&#8220;There is no question it&#8217;s a dangerous game,&#8221; said Biden. &#8220;There is no question that his rhetoric has contributed to at a minimum, at a minimum of dumbing down the way in which we as a society talk about one another. Look, we&#8217;ve always brought the country together. &#8230; &#8216;We the people. We hold these truths to be self-evident&#8217;. He flies in the face of all of the basic things that we&#8217;ve never really met the standard, we&#8217;ve never abandoned it before. He looks like he&#8217;s just flat abandoned the theory that we are one people.&#8221;

After Trump Condemns White Supremacy, Biden Compares Him To KKK

In the aftermath of several recent mass shootings, many Democrats have repeatedly labeled President Donald Trump as a “white nationalist” or a “white supremacist.” Beto O’Rourke <a href="https://thehill.com/homenews/campaign/456158-orourke-compares-trump-administration-to-nazi-germany">likened his rhetoric to that of the Third Reich</a>, and this viewpoint is shared across much of the Democratic Party.
While the terms “white nationalist” and “white supremacist” are applied increasingly liberally, it seems important to remind ourselves of the definitions of these ideologies before making such accusations.
<ul>
<li>White nationalism is based upon the belief of a “white race” and the development of a white national identity.</li>
<li>White supremacy is the belief that white people are superior to other races.</li>
<li>Both ideologies have racism running at their very core — usually including unabashed hatred of Jews and racial minorities.</li>
</ul>
After some of Trump’s rhetoric was defined as racist or xenophobic by critics, his detractors on the Left saw one short goose-step between subjective criticism and invalid accusations of white supremacy or white nationalism. However, the fact that Trump is white and has been labeled as a racist is obviously insufficient evidence of “white nationalistic” ideology.
Those who blindly criticize Donald Trump as a white supremacist are doing so from a position of ignorance or cynicism. In both cases, they should be forced to provide justification beyond merely claiming that “Trump is racist.” After all, as children, we are taught basic logical principles. One example is that “all apples are fruits, but not all fruits are apples.” Even if Trump were racist (and there is no evidence that he is), we must still remember that “all white supremacists are racist, but not all racists are white supremacists.”
One clear counter-argument to the lazy accusations leveled against Trump is the fact that targeted hatred and subjugation of Jews and black people is a core underlying principle of white supremacist ideology. With this in mind, it seems that Trump would be appallingly bad at being a white supremacist. Trump’s daughter converted to Judaism, he has a town named after him in the Jewish state of Israel, and black unemployment is at its <a href="https://fred.stlouisfed.org/series/LNS14000006">lowest rate on record</a>. In addition, the claim that Trump reserves certain acerbic language — such as “infestation” — for racial minorities is a lie. For example, <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/50012/selective-outrage-media-trump-also-called-new-ashe-schow">Trump called New Hampshire</a> a “drug-infested den.” New Hampshire is 93.9% white.
Instead of accepting these realities, the common response is to pivot to the claim that Trump is a white supremacist because he is supported by some fringe white supremacists. This is based upon yet another logical fallacy called “guilt by association,” whereby guilt is assigned based on some irrelevant association or shared attribute. For example: “You have black hair. Hitler had black hair. Therefore, you are Hitler.”
While criticisms of Trump’s presidential campaign can arguably be made regarding instances of pandering to the alt-right, neither Trump’s rhetoric nor his actions in office provide any substantive proof to suggest that he is a white supremacist. The fact that some white supremacists support Trump is evidence — at the very most — that they share some perceived or actual common viewpoints. However, this is only relevant if the shared policies are elements of the white supremacist ideology — and there is no evidence of this.
In addition, it is glaringly obvious that support alone does not indicate a completely shared ideology. After Rep. Ilhan Omar’s (D-MN) anti-Semitic tweets implying that Israel had “hypnotized the world,” David Duke, a former “Grand Wizard” of the Klu Klux Klan, <a href="https://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2019/mar/7/david-duke-praises-rep-ilhan-omar/">came out in support of Omar</a>.
Following the Left’s logic, Ilhan Omar is a white supremacist and supports the Klu Klux Klan. While much of Ilhan Omar’s ideology is utterly detestable, this is clearly an absurd assertion. Indeed, if the vocal support of one white supremacist were all that were needed to condemn a politician, all members of the Klu Klux Klan would come out in support of every one of their political enemies — leaving the electorate no choice but to vote the KKK into power.
Critics of Trump are more than welcome to voice their displeasure regarding Trump’s policies or character. However, if they are going to level such appalling allegations of “white supremacy” or “white nationalism,” they should be forced to provide evidence beyond “he’s white and I think he’s racist.” Refusing to do so shows a dismissive attitude towards the specificity of words, and a complete lack of acknowledgment for how despicable the ideologies of white nationalism and white supremacy truly are.

In his latest &#8220;Ami on the Loose,&#8221; documentary filmmaker Ami Horowitz gives a series of interviews on the campus of Columbia University about the new trend of colleges promoting racial segregation by offering separate housing, events, and &#8220;safe spaces&#8221; based on the color of one&#8217;s skin. The students&#8217; affirmative responses were far different from those Horowitz got from African Americans just a few blocks &#8220;outside the campus bubble,&#8221; all of whom blasted the backward notion of &#8220;resegregation.&#8221; The opposite was true of a KKK leader, who cheered the idea of colleges increasingly promoting separation by race.
&#8220;Colleges are creating separate housing, graduations, and even gyms for black students and other minorities,&#8221; Horowitz explains. &#8220;So I went to Columbia University to find out what students think about this.&#8221;
The students, who are mostly white females, all seem enthusiastic about the idea of encouraging the separation of students by race.
&#8220;Would you support segregated housing for black people?&#8221; Horowitz asks two female students.
&#8220;I think a lot of schools have interest housing, where black students, students of color can live together,&#8221; one replies.
&#8220;Separate from white people?&#8221; Horowitz asks for clarification.
&#8220;Yeah, that&#8217;s like a normal thing at most campuses, I think,&#8221; she replies.
&#8220;Yeah, I would support it,&#8221; another female tells Horowitz in response to the same question.
&#8220;I don&#8217;t see a problem with that,&#8221; says another female student, who appears to be Asian, adding, &#8220;I want to be with people like me.&#8221;
&#8220;I would be supportive of it,&#8221; another student asserts. &#8220;Why not?&#8221; asks another, while yet another student argues, &#8220;It wouldn&#8217;t change anything for me because, as you can see, I&#8217;m a white person.&#8221;
When Horowitz asks students if they would &#8220;support African American students having their own separate graduation,&#8221; he gets similarly affirmative responses.
&#8220;Sure, if that&#8217;s what they wanted,&#8221; says a white female student. &#8220;Yeah, I definitely would,&#8221; says another. &#8220;Absolutely they should have it,&#8221; says another.
Asked specifically about &#8220;black safe spaces,&#8221; a student says, &#8220;Yeah, I&#8217;m for that.&#8221;
But when Horowitz walks &#8220;outside the campus bubble&#8221; to a neighborhood a few blocks away, the responses change dramatically. In fact, Horowitz notes that he found &#8220;unanimous&#8221; agreement off campus that segregating people by race is retrograde.

&#8220;Why? Are you going back in time?&#8221; says an African American woman. &#8220;Why are you separating? We&#8217;re all together.&#8221; Asked if she thinks it&#8217;s racist to do that, she says emphatically, &#8220;I would think.&#8221;
&#8220;I don&#8217;t understand the logic there,&#8221; says an African American man. &#8220;It&#8217;s obviously terrible to separate people by race,&#8221; he says, exclaiming later, &#8220;Separating people by race at the gym? I don&#8217;t even understand that &#8230; So white people don&#8217;t get their feelings hurt when they get dunked on?&#8221;
&#8220;I feel like that&#8217;s basically segregation,&#8221; says a young black man. &#8220;We should all graduate together.&#8221;
&#8220;I feel like that&#8217;s segregation and that shouldn&#8217;t be happening,&#8221; says another African American male. &#8220;Discrimination might not be the ultimate goal, but people take it that way&#8230; It&#8217;s all about social skills, and if you can&#8217;t converse with people that are not the same skin color as you, then there&#8217;s no reason for you to be social at all.&#8221;
Horowitz goes on to provide some historical context to the segregation discussion, explaining the impact of the landmark Supreme Court decision Brown vs. Board of Education that overturned the policy of &#8220;separate but equal,&#8221; the insidious rationale behind segregating people by race.
But increasingly on college campuses, Horowitz demonstrates that you can find many people who are actually embracing a form of &#8220;separate but equal&#8221; in these &#8220;woke,&#8221; racially divisive policies.
To drive home just how backward this thinking is, Horowitz interviews a member of the racist KKK who celebrates colleges promoting segregating by race.

Here&#8217;s a premise: If President Trump is responsible for all the racism in America (being that he is, according to the Left, a white nationalist and possibly the Imperial Wizard of the Ku Klux Klan), then liberals and Hollywood celebrities are responsible for fake hate crimes perpetrated by fake Trump supporters.
The Left has blamed all kinds of racism on Trump. Whenever a racist attack happens anywhere in America, liberals say Trump is creating a climate in which such hatred can flourish, and thereby is just as guilty as the attackers. The fact that the allegations are part of Trump Derangement Syndrome (TDS) &#8212; a malady suffered by liberals and progressives (and especially the mainstream media) &#8212; has not diminished the spurious theory. In reality, TDS lets anyone say anything they like at any time.
But if that premise is true, then isn&#8217;t the Left to blame when someone perpetrates a fake hate crime and tries to pin it on Trump? They are, after all, the ones who are pitching the idea that Trump is not only racist but condones racist attacks. So if someone &#8212; say, a black, gay actor on a mediocre TV drama &#8212; makes up a supposed attack, shouldn&#8217;t the blame be put squarely on those calling Trump racist?
Last month, actor Jussie Smollett claimed he was the victim of a racist anti-gay attack &#8212; by two Trump supporters, of course &#8212; and Democrats, along with the lapdog media, all but cheered. It didn&#8217;t take long for the whole escapade to come back around to Trump.
Karen Attiah, a Washington Post editor, wrote: &#8220;Regarding the heinous attack on @JussieSmollett, yet another reminder that Trump&#8217;s ascendance and the resulting climate of hate has meant that lives have been increasingly at stake since 2015. Smollett could have been killed by those thugs screaming MAGA. Let that sink in.&#8221;
Amy Siskind, a Huffington Post contributor, tweeted: &#8220;Can we get anyone in the Trump orbit to condemn the 2 MAGA men who brutally attacked Jussie Smollett, a gay black man, and put his head in a noose while saying &#8216;This is MAGA country,&#8217; so others don&#8217;t feel like your silence is legitimizing hate? How about you @realDonaldTrump?&#8221;
Said Liz Plank of Vox: &#8220;There is real evidence of people who have done these crimes, who cite that the President has inspired them.&#8221;
There&#8217;s also &#8220;real evidence&#8221; that some of the so-called hate attacks inspired by Trump have been fake. The <a href="https://dailycaller.com/2019/02/18/hoax-hate-crimes-list/">Daily Caller</a> is keeping a running list, which now numbers nearly two dozen. Here are a few:

Volk told NBC News that &#8220;I just want them to stop.&#8221; But the &#8220;them&#8221; referenced by Volk turned out to be herself, as the whole thing was fabricated.
GAS STATION RACISM GOES VIRAL &#8212; THEN POLICE DEBUNK IT (NOV. 2016)
Philadelphia woman Ashley Boyer claimed in November 2016 that she was harassed at a gas station by white, Trump-supporting males, one of whom pulled a weapon on her. Boyer claimed that the men &#8220;proceeded to talk about the election and how they&#8217;re glad they won&#8217;t have to deal with n&#8212;&#8211;s much longer.&#8221; Boyer deleted her post after it went viral and claimed the men had been caught and were facing criminal charges. Local police debunked her account.

Now police have charged Smollett with filing a fake report of an attack (which he miantains really did happen). And people like Sen. Kamala Harris, the Democratic senator from California who is running for president in 2020, simply looks past the lie and still blames Trump.
&#8220;We must speak the truth: hate crimes are on the rise in America. Just last year, the FBI released statistics that revealed a 17 percent increase in the number of hate crimes in America,&#8221; she said in a statement after Smollett&#8217;s arrest. &#8220;Part of the tragedy of this situation is that it distracts from that truth, and has been seized by some who would like to dismiss and downplay the very real problems that we must address. We should not allow that. I will always condemn racism and homophobia. We must always confront hate directly, and we must always seek justice. That is what I will keep fighting for.&#8221;
Chicago Police Superintendent Eddie Johnson, clearly angry, ripped politicians and celebrities as he denounced the reaction to Smollett&#8217;s accusations. &#8220;To make things worse, the accusations within this phony attack received national attention for weeks. Celebrities, news commentators and even presidential candidates weighed in on something that was choreographed by an actor.&#8221;
Smollett may well walk away from the whole mess, sentenced only to community service or levied a stiff fine. And maybe that&#8217;s OK: He&#8217;s apparently deeply disturbed, so what would be the point of putting him in jail?
But make no mistake: If the charges are correct, Smollett committed a very serious crime, beyond making up an attack and giving a false report to police. He tried to ignite a racial war blaming Trump for his attack &#8212; which was literally cheered on by liberals and the MSM.
For that, he ought to go to jail for a decade, as a warning to all those TDS sufferers who want to claim Trump made them do it.

Infanticidal Virginia Governor Ralph Northam is in trouble because he appeared in a racist picture in his 1984 med school yearbook. The Democrat Governor, who believes babies should be left to die if you don&#8217;t want them, apologized for being in the photo, which shows one person in black face and one in a Ku Klux Klan outfit. Northam apologized for the photo, saying, &#8220;From now on, I promise to kill babies without dressing up in offensive costumes.&#8221;
Although it&#8217;s unclear whether Northam was the Klansman in the photo or the man in black face, Democrats scrambled to condemn the baby-killer for his racist med school hijinx. Senator Kirsten Gillibrand called for Northam&#8217;s resignation, saying, &#8220;The Democrat party is the party of killing children, not the party of the Ku Klux Klan. Well, okay, it&#8217;s also the party of the Ku Klux Klan, but not recently. Now we just do the whole baby-killing thing without the sheets over our heads. The governor must resign so we can stop being distracted by our racist past, and go forward into the future with the good work of slaughtering America&#8217;s children.&#8221;
Other Democrat spokesmen tried to cover for Northam. CNN for instance reported that Northam was a Republican, hoping this would deflect blame from their party. The ruse failed, however, when viewers managed to identify Northam as a Democrat by his Klan outfit.
Democrat Cory Booker, who recently managed to declare he was running for president without anyone noticing, also made a comment but nobody noticed that either. Something about this being a &#8220;moral moment&#8221; and how much he likes gladiator movies &#8230;
Tom Perez, the Grand Dragon of the Democrat Party, told a gathering of Democrats, also known as a press conference, &#8220;I really feel caught in the crossfire &#8230; and I literally mean a cross on fire. Hahahaha. Sorry &#8212; that&#8217;s a Democrat joke from the old days. I guess it&#8217;s sort of inappropriate now.&#8221;

In a discussion on CNN&#8217;s &#8220;Cuomo Prime Time&#8221; Tuesday about the controversy surrounding Covington Catholic high schoolers&#8217; encounter with a Native American protester, CNN commentator Angela Rye said that she simply couldn&#8217;t get over high school junior Nick Sandmann wearing a MAGA hat because it&#8217;s &#8220;as maddening and frustrating and triggering for me to look at as a KKK hood.&#8221;
After left-wing host Chris Cuomo suggested President Trump was being disingenuous in his outrage over the media&#8217;s libelous reporting on the incident, Rye agreed with Cuomo, but then transitioned to her larger point: The &#8220;standoff&#8221; between the Catholic high schoolers and activist Nathan Phillips was effectively a Rorschach test of people&#8217;s ideological perspectives.
&#8220;I wish that for one moment we can talk about what we see. People are talking about what is happening right now as a result of this particular incident is our varying perspectives, and I think that&#8217;s such a powerful point,&#8221; she said.
&#8220;Forget Donald Trump for a moment, and just think about that symbol of that red hat,&#8221; said Rye, in a moment highlighted by <a href="https://freebeacon.com/issues/cnns-angela-rye-compares-maga-hat-to-kkk-hood-im-so-triggered-by-the-hatred-it-represents/">The Washington Free Beacon</a>. &#8220;When I see the &#8216;Make America Great Again&#8217; hat now, Chris, I am triggered. I&#8217;m so triggered.&#8221;
Rye then turned to fellow commentator Andre Bauer, who often defends the president, and said, &#8220;Andre, I think in a lot of ways our friendship has been compromised by the fact that you continue to support this man.&#8221; She followed that up by giving him credit for sometimes calling out Trump, but making sure to say that she disagrees with him on this issue.
Red hats, she emphasized, were now as much a symbol of hate as the notorious white hoods of the Ku Klux Klan. &#8220;This Make America Great Again hat is just as maddening and frustrating and triggering for me to look at as a KKK hood,&#8221; Rye said. &#8220;That is the type of hatred that [Trump&#8217;s] policies represent. And until we can have common ground and understanding about that, that it&#8217;s that triggering, we&#8217;re going to continue to have problems.&#8221;

Early reports on the viral video of Sandmann and his fellow high schoolers falsely claimed that they provoked the encounter with Phillips and hurled racist insults at minority activists. Video evidence has since shown that the boys were in fact the targets of racist and homophobic slurs from the radical group Black Hebrew Israelites, designated a &#8220;<a href="https://www.cincinnati.com/story/news/2019/01/21/black-hebrew-israelites-believe-african-americans-gods-chosen-people/2636154002/">hate group</a>&#8221; by the Southern Poverty Law Center. After being called &#8220;f*ggots&#8221; and &#8220;crackers&#8221; and being told to &#8220;go back to Europe,&#8221; the boys began singing and cheering to drown out the hateful rhetoric coming from the extremist group.
Phillips then injected himself into the situation, the &#8220;face-off&#8221; featured in the initial viral video. The activist later portrayed the boys to media outlets as the aggressors, <a href="http://www.nationalreview.com/corner/nathan-phillips-interview-cnn-falsehoods-inconsistencies/">describing them</a> as &#8220;beasts&#8221; ready to pounce on their &#8220;prey,&#8221; and a &#8220;mob&#8221; poised to &#8220;lynch&#8221; minorities, when video evidence shows that the worst thing some of the teens did was a tomahawk chop and joining his chants in a way that might be interpreted as mildly mocking.
Sandmann has since given <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/42423/read-it-teen-center-covington-catholic-hs-amanda-prestigiacomo">his account of the incident</a>, which aligns with video evidence, and gave an <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/42530/watch-heres-nbcs-interview-covington-catholics-james-barrett">interview </a>with NBC&#8217;s Savannah Guthrie that aired Wednesday.
&#8220;Do you feel from this experience that you owe anybody an apology? Do you see your own fault in any way?&#8221; Guthrie suggestively asked Sandmann in the interview.
&#8220;As far as standing there, I had every right to do so,&#8221; the boy replied. &#8220;My position is that I was not disrespectful to Mr. Phillips &#8212; I respect him, I&#8217;d like to talk to him. In hindsight, I wish we could have walked away and avoided the whole thing, but I can&#8217;t say that I&#8217;m sorry for listening to him and standing there.&#8221;

After about an hour and half of peaceful protests from those both demonstrating against and in support of a toppled monument to Confederate soldiers on the UNC-Chapel Hill campus, police were forced to intervene when the situation became unruly.
As police began to separate the two protest groups after around 90 minutes of demonstrations, police reportedly used pepper spray on some protesters, eventually arresting three people, reports <a href="https://www.thecollegefix.com/pepper-spray-arrests-obscenities-heated-unc-silent-sam-protest-engulfs-campus/">College Fix</a>, which livestreamed the event and published <a href="https://www.facebook.com/TheCollegeFix/videos/437429439996871/">the footage</a> on Facebook.
&#8220;It was unclear which side the cops used it on, and also why exactly the pepper spray was used,&#8221; the College Fix reports. &#8220;Attempts afterward to confirm why the pepper spray was used and who it was used on were unsuccessful as two officers both told The College Fix they didn&#8217;t know and offered no further comment.&#8221;

The demonstration against the &#8220;Silent Sam&#8221; monument, which protesters toppled two weeks ago as officers were <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/35284/texts-emails-reveal-police-were-told-not-engage-kassy-dillon">reportedly told to stand down</a>, was advertised as a &#8220;Dance Party and Speakout&#8221; against the controversial monument and its supporters.

An Imperial Wizard of a Maryland Ku Klux Klan chapter was sentenced to four years in prison by a Virginia judge on Tuesday for firing a gun in a school zone during the 2017 &#8220;Unite The Right&#8221; rally in Charlottesville, <a href="https://www.cnn.com/2018/08/22/us/kkk-unite-the-right-richard-preston-sentence/index.html">CNN reports</a>. If not for the outreach effort of a black activist, the Klansman would have likely done harder time.
Richard Preston was given an eight year sentence with four years suspended and three years of supervised probation. 
According to his testimony, Preston attended the white nationalist rally as a <a href="https://www.cnn.com/2018/08/10/us/kkk-imperial-wizard-charlottesville/index.html">member</a> of the &#8220;Real Three Percent Rising&#8221; militia; he was shown on video shouting the n-word and firing in the direction of a black counter-protester wielding a blowtorch. 
Preston claims he only shot the gun because he was trying to protect people from the blowtorch, but the judge believes Preston did not act out of fear, but anger. 
Preston was charged with shooting a firearm within 1,000 feet of a school and pleaded no contest.
Daryl Davis, a black R&amp;B musician (pictured above), reportedly paid part of Preston&#8217;s bail, stood up for him in court, and offered to help educate Preston by <a href="https://www.cnn.com/2018/08/10/us/kkk-imperial-wizard-charlottesville/index.html">taking him</a> to the National Museum of African American History And Culture. The judge agreed to the proposal. Davis later testified about the trip to the museum.
&#8220;The judge took everything into account. He commended me for my work and Richard for going to the museum but said Richard broke the law and had to be punished,&#8221; Davis told CNN. &#8220;But what we did ended up mitigating Richard&#8217;s sentence.&#8221;
Davis also reportedly walked Preston&#8217;s bride down the aisle at their wedding.
CNN noted in its <a href="https://www.cnn.com/2018/08/10/us/kkk-imperial-wizard-charlottesville/index.html">report</a> earlier this month that on his trip with Preston to the museum Davis has spent decades befriending KKK members. He says that 200 Klansmen that he befriended have left the group; 40 have given him their robes as a symbolic gesture upon leaving.

Director Spike Lee is using every opportunity available to make everyone know his latest film, &#8220;BlacKkKlansman,&#8221; is an anti-Trump piece of propaganda rather than a carefully crafted story. After slamming the President at every turn throughout the film&#8217;s promotion, he now says he hopes &#8220;the guy in the White House&#8221; will watch the film.
&#8220;BlacKkKlansman&#8221; tells the outrageous story about Colorado Springs detective Ron Stallworth (John David Washington), who successfully infiltrated the Ku Klux Klan in the early 1970&#8217;s with the help of another detective who went undercover (Adam Driver). Spike Lee has made it known he wanted to tie the film in with President Trump, implicitly highlighted in the trailer during a scene where a former KKK Grand Wizard gives a toast to his KKK comrades in the name of &#8220;America First.&#8221;
Speaking with Reuters, Spike Lee expressed hope that President Trump will watch the film, referring to him only as &#8220;the guy in the White House,&#8221; refusing to say his name as if he were Voldemort.
&#8220;I want the guy in the White House to see it too. I don&#8217;t say his name though,&#8221; Lee told <a href="https://www.reuters.com/article/us-film-blackkklansman/spike-lee-hopes-trump-watches-kkk-film-blackkklansman-idUSKBN1KU2PO">Reuters</a>. &#8220;When I saw the horrific act of domestic, American homegrown terrorism, I knew right away I wanted to do this,&#8221; Lee said of the events in Charlottesville.
Spike Lee, of course, says this after decades of supporting the Democratic Party&#8217;s agenda, which includes the full-funding of Planned Parenthood with taxpayer dollars, an <a href="https://www.americamagazine.org/politics-society/2017/11/27/margaret-sanger-was-eugenicist-why-are-we-still-celebrating-her">organization founded by a white supremacist</a> who delivered her racist message at a Klan rally.
The film currently holds a <a href="https://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/blackkklansman">97% rating on Rotten Tomatoes</a>, with just four negative reviews. Armond White of <a href="https://www.nationalreview.com/2018/08/movie-review-blackkklansman-spike-lee-most-confusing-film/">National Review</a> said viewers should take the enthusiasm with a grain of salt.
&#8220;Lee&#8217;s entire career has been built on appeasing guilty white liberals,&#8221; White wrote in his negative review. &#8220;That&#8217;s why you can never trust his always-fawning reviews, which are even less trustworthy this time since mainstream media have joined the #Resistance.&#8221;

The critics have hailed Spike Lee&#8217;s upcoming film &#8220;BlacKkKlansman&#8221; with tremendous accolades. The film now boasts a certified &#8220;Fresh&#8221; rating of<a href="https://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/blackkklansman"> 96% on Rotten Tomatoes</a>, with many outlets hailing it as Lee&#8217;s best in years.
&#8220;BlacKkKlansman&#8221; tells the wildly outrageous story about Colorado Springs detective Ron Stallworth (John David Washington), who successfully infiltrated the Ku Klux Klan in the early 1970&#8217;s with the help of another detective who went undercover (Adam Driver).
&#8220;It was history written with lightning. BlaKkKlansman is a deafening roll of the thunder we&#8217;ve been waiting for ever since,&#8221; wrote David Ehrlich of IndieWire.
&#8220;Spike Lee&#8217;s new film empowers audiences to stand up for change. Talking isn&#8217;t enough; you must get up and do the right thing,&#8221; says Mara Reinstein of Us Weekly.
&#8220;&#8216;BlacKkKlansman&#8217; is quintessential Spike Lee, impassioned and messy and vital as anything he&#8217;s done in decades,&#8221; announced Steve Pond of TheWrap.
Many reviewers, of course, tied the events of the film to present-day America.
&#8220;A sobering Spike Lee Joint suggesting that the Klan might very well rise again, especially given equivocating President Trump&#8217;s frustrating refusal to take sides. Easily, Spike&#8217;s best offering in ages!&#8221; said Kam Williams of Sly Fox.
&#8220;Through its biting satire, Spike Lee&#8217;s &#8216;BlacKkKlansman&#8217; dares to remind us that we are no stranger to the hatred in the present day,&#8221; said Danielle Solzman of Solzy at the Movies.
Spike Lee himself has made it known he wanted to tie the film in with President Trump. That impulse is implicitly made in one scene featured in the trailer where former KKK Grand Wizard gives a toast to his KKK comrades in the name of &#8220;America First.&#8221; The filmmaker has also said that Trump gave the &#8220;green light&#8221; to the KKK in the fallout over the Charlottesville protests.
According to James Dawson at <a href="https://thefederalist.com/2018/08/07/blackkklansman-undercuts-message-wildly-overplaying-material/">The Federalist</a>, Lee&#8217;s on-the-nose agenda with the film takes away from what should have been an otherwise powerful story about a black man standing up against white supremacists.
Dawson writes: &#8220;It&#8217;s unfortunate that &#8216;BlacKkKlansman&#8217; overpowers the genuinely fascinating true story of Ron Stallworth, a black 1970s detective who infiltrated the Ku Klux Klan, with so much flagrantly fictionalized Hollywood hokum.&#8221;

Critics Go Wild For Spike Lee’s ‘BlacKkKlansman’

In what is perhaps the rock band U2&#8217;s most politically charged song since &#8220;Sunday Bloody Sunday,&#8221; their latest fare, &#8220;Get Out of Your Own Way,&#8221; is best summed up as an anti-Trump &#8220;resistance&#8221; anthem complete with a psychedelic music video where hooded KKK nut-jobs march on the White House.
The video unfolds entirely in stop-motion animation, and paper cut-outs of people in white KKK robes appear in various locales before finally arriving at Trump&#8217;s White House. The rainbow sky in the backdrop suggests an obfuscation of tranquility and peace.
According to the Israeli graffiti collective <a href="https://www.facebook.com/brokenfingaz/">Broken Fingaz Crew</a>, who directed the video, the imagery pokes at the worldwide rise of fascism, which apparently includes the election of President Trump.
&#8220;The video addresses the current political situation,&#8221; the directors stated in a press release. &#8220;2017 for us was the year fascists worldwide felt confident enough to raise their heads again, encouraged by Trump and other world leaders, who use people&#8217;s fear to build more walls and segregation.&#8221;
Lyrics sung by Bono transmit the same message of &#8220;resistance.&#8221; In fact, the word &#8220;resistance&#8221; makes an appearance at one point:

</blockquote>
The message becomes less poetic and more straightforward several verses down:

KKK Marches On The White House In New U2 Video

Eminem pushed left-wing and Democrat narratives in a Tuesday-aired rap video on BET.
In the racially charged song, Eminem accuses President Donald Trump as having expressed &#8220;support for the Klansmen&#8221; and the tiki torch-carrying white supremacists in Charlottesville:

From his endorsement of Bannon, support for the Klansmen, tiki torches in hand for the soldier that&#8217;s black and comes home from Iraq and is still told to go back to Africa, fork and a dagger, and this racist 94-year-old grandpa, who keeps ignoring our past, historical deplorable factors.

NFL athletes promoting anti-law enforcement messages, including Colin Kaepernick, were implicitly praised by Eminem. 
Eminem derided any of his fans who support Trump, telling them unequivocally, &#8220;f*** you&#8221;:

Any fan of mine who&#8217;s a fan of his, I&#8217;m drawing in the sand a line, you either for or against, and if you can&#8217;t decide who you like more in this split, on who you should stand beside, I&#8217;ll do it for you with this, f*** you.

Adopting a southern accent, Eminem mocks Americans supporting construction of a southern border wall.
Eminem&#8217;s video concludes with expressed praise for America and its armed forces, framing the NFL&#8217;s anti-anthem and anti-law enforcement activism as patriotic: &#8220;The rest of America, stand up, we love our military, and we love our country, but we f***** hate Trump.&#8221;
This isn&#8217;t the first time Eminem has slammed Trump. In a concert in Scotland in August, the rapper <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VW441Kfqg_A">decried</a> &#8220;motherf*** Donald Trump.&#8221;

Two-time failed presidential candidate Hillary Clinton lied on MSNBC Monday night by claiming that President Donald Trump attacked black athletes and never criticized white supremacists.
Speaking in an interview with MSNBC&#8217;s Chris Hayes, Clinton falsely claimed that Trump is deliberately attacking black athletes and that he never said anything &#8220;insulting&#8221; about the KKK, white supremacists, or neo-Nazis:
&#8220;He attacks black athletes as he did starting with his rally in Alabama, continued on Twitter, and he attacks them for protesting peacefully for equality, for standing up for what they believe. And he does it once again to dog whistle to his base and to try to detract attention from other things that are going on. But it&#8217;s quite telling that he is willing to attack black athletes. He never says anything of an insulting manner towards white supremacists or neo-Nazis or Ku Klux Klan ers or Vladimir Putin, right?&#8221;

Nowhere in any of Trump&#8217;s statements regarding athletes who are kneeling during the national anthem has he ever mentioned the race or ethnicity of the players.
Clinton&#8217;s statement about Trump never &#8220;insulting&#8221; the KKK, white supremacists, or neo-Nazis is also demonstrably false.
In 1991, Trump <a href="https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/fact-checker/wp/2016/03/01/donald-trump-and-david-duke-for-the-record">said</a> that he &#8220;hates&#8221; seeing what KKK member David Duke &#8220;represents.&#8221; In 2000, Trump called Duke &#8220;a bigot, a racist, a problem.&#8221;
Following the tragedy in Charlottesville in August, President Trump condemned all violence, but that wasn&#8217;t enough for the political left. Trump then specifically condemned neo-Nazis, the KKK, and white supremacists.
Clinton&#8217;s assertion that Trump doesn&#8217;t want to talk about Puerto Rico is also false as Puerto Rican officials have praised the response they have received from the Trump administration &#8212; a fact that most of the media refuses to report.
&#8220;Large amounts of federal aid began moving into Puerto Rico on Saturday, welcomed by local officials who praised the Trump administration&#8217;s response,&#8221; <a href="http://www.politico.com/story/2017/09/23/puerto-rico-aid-hurricane-flooding-243061">Politico</a> reported.

On Wednesday night, the art collective INDECLINE, which infamously <a href="https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/morning-mix/wp/2016/08/18/anarchists-unveil-naked-donald-trump-statues-in-several-u-s-cities/?tid=a_inl&amp;utm_term=.f0ace32322ce">displayed nude statues</a> of Donald Trump across the country in August 2016, <a href="http://www.richmond.com/news/local/city-of-richmond/updated-activist-group-hangs-effigies-of-clowns-dressed-in-kkk/article_c0e61440-02b2-5085-8165-13c34c01bc2b.html">hung eight effigies of clowns</a> dressed in Ku Klux Klan robes from a tree in a Richmond, Virginia park. One clown had a sign around its neck reading, &#8220;If attacked by a mob of clowns, go for the juggler &#8212; INDECLINE.&#8221;
The leftist group has used hanging imagery before; it vandalized billboards in Las Vegas, captioning them &#8220;hope you&#8217;re happy Wall St.&#8221; and &#8220;dying for work&#8221; and hanging dangling a mannequin from a noose off the side in 2012.
INDECLINE <a href="https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/local/wp/2017/09/07/activists-hang-kkk-clown-effigies-from-tree-in-a-virginia-park/?hpid=hp_local-news_kkkclowns-550pm%3Ahomepage%2Fstory&amp;utm_term=.8cd38ba5c380">released a video</a> showing four masked men dressed in black hanging the clowns overnight in Bryan Park, and dialogue from a old episode of the Superman radio show that ridiculed the KKK, interspersed with a Klan anthem asserting: &#8220;Stand up and be counted/show that world that you&#8217;re a man &#8230; join the Ku Klux Klan.&#8221;
INDECLINE added in a news release that the display was a &#8220;protest of the White Nationalist uprising in the United States.&#8221; The release also claimed that Richmond was chosen because it was the Confederate capital and Bryan Park because Gabriel Prosser plotted a famous slave rebellion there in 1800.
James &#8220;J.J.&#8221; Minor, the president of the Richmond branch of the NAACP, decried the display, asserting, &#8220;When you look at something like that, whether you consider it art or not art, lynching is not something that we&#8217;re in agreement with at all. We do not support any groups that support violence.&#8221;
Bernice Travers, the president of the Richmond Crusade for Voters, the city&#8217;s oldest African-American voter advocacy organization, added that what INDECLINE &#8220;does not understand is the pain black people endured then, and still feel today, about hangings.&#8221;
Mayor Levar Stoney&#8217;s press secretary, Jim Nolan, concurred, echoing, &#8220;There are many ways to express a point of view. As a city we don&#8217;t condone breaking the law to do so.&#8221;
On Thursday morning, Richmond police cordoned off a large area around the tree and closed the park.

Various media outlets, Dennis Prager said on his radio show Thursday, hype white racial nationalism as a prominent political orientation affiliated with the Republican Party and broader right in order to denigrate political opponents while simultaneously shielding &#8220;left-wing mobs.&#8221; 
Neo-Nazism, the Ku Klux Klan (KKK), and assorted white racial nationalist ideologies and movements are politically irrelevant in contemporary America, amounting to an &#8220;infinitesimally small threat&#8221; to America, said Prager.

The country has left-wing mobs all over, committed to violence, shutting down places, tearing down statues. &#8230; Where are right-wing mobs? Where are violent right-wing mobs? They&#8217;re not here, are they? &#8230;

To not understand that the neo-Nazis and Ku Klux Klanners present an infinitesimally small threat to your society, but the left-wing mobs are a serious threat is to be a fool, to be a willing fool. &#8230;
This is what the communists did in Eastern Europe to install themselves, they called everybody a fascist, and they violently took over society. &#8230;
The threat from the Left in this country is so much greater than the threat from the Right, that you have to be a fool not to realize it. You have to be either a leftist or a fool. &#8230;

Prager drew from both the <a href="https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/racism">Merriam-Webster</a> and <a href="https://en.oxforddictionaries.com/definition/racism">Oxford English</a> dictionaries to define &#8220;racism,&#8221; describing contemporary misapplications of the term as left-wing linguistic corruption: &#8220;Misuse of the term racist, the distortion of its meaning, has been a moral scandal.&#8221;
&#8220;You have to be an idiot to be a racist,&#8221; said Prager, describing &#8220;racism&#8221; as both &#8220;stupid and evil.&#8221;
Political observers should note that racism is an ideology predicated on the view that a person&#8217;s racial heredity greatly impacts his or her character via biological determinism.

Prager: Media Hypes Threat From White Supremacists To Protect Left-Wing Mobs

Charlottesville, Virginia, a city named after Britain&#8217;s first black queen, was the scene of a bloody riot Saturday, Aug. 12. The fray resulted in the death of one woman, who was mowed down by a car; plus, there were many other people injured. Have politicians and the news media told the correct and complete story about what happened, or have Americans been deliberately misled? Let&#8217;s look at it.
One does not have to accept the racist and nationalist vision of the Unite the Right organization to recognize and respect its First Amendment rights. Moreover, the group obtained a city permit to hold a peaceful rally to protest the lawful removal of the statue of Confederate Gen. Robert E. Lee from Emancipation Park, formerly known as Lee Park. It was the leftist protesters who did not have a city permit to assemble for a rally on that day. Virginia Gov. Terry McAuliffe said: &#8220;There has got to be a movement in this country to bring people together. The hatred and rhetoric that has gone on and has intensified over the last couple months is dividing this great nation.&#8221; He denounced &#8220;the white supremacists and the Nazis.&#8221; However, when asked a question about whether he would include the left-wing, pro-violence antifa in his condemnation, he ignored the question and walked out of the room.
Here&#8217;s a question for you: Did the authorities of the city of Charlottesville have a duty to protect Unite the Right rally attendees? The American Civil Liberties Union of Virginia said they had a right to rally, saying, &#8220;The First Amendment is a critical part of our democracy, and it protects vile, hateful, and ignorant speech.&#8221; Thus, the ACLU of Virginia defended the white supremacists&#8217; and neo-Nazis&#8217; right to march and rally against the removal of the statue of Lee. Both the Unite the Right organizers and the leftist counter-protesters charged that the Charlottesville police did not do their job. They just stood back and watched the melee.
This was documented in several reports. The Daily Caller article titled &#8220;Why Were The Police Held Back In Charlottesville?&#8221; reports: &#8220;Law enforcement was on hand at the dueling demonstrations on Saturday, decked out in riot gear and looking prepared for the worst. Except they weren&#8217;t allowed to do their job.&#8221; According to the ACLU of Virginia, police on the scene were reported to have been ordered to &#8220;not intervene until given command to do so.&#8221; That kept them from suppressing the numerous scuffles that <a href="http://tinyurl.com/ycpnrzv7">broke out</a>. I&#8217;d like to ask any policeman, Since when did the police need a command to intervene when they are witnessing people assaulting one another? In a ProPublica article titled &#8220;Police Stood By As Mayhem Mounted in Charlottesville,&#8221; the authors reported that &#8220;state police and National Guardsmen watched passively for hours as self-proclaimed Nazis engaged in street battles with counter-protesters.&#8221; ProPublica reporter A.C. Thompson, who was on the scene, <a href="http://tinyurl.com/yc9al2lk">reported</a> that &#8220;the authorities turned the streets of the city over to groups of militiamen armed with assault rifles.&#8221; Instead of owning up to his dereliction of duty &#8212; by not having ordered his police force to protect life and limb &#8212; Charlottesville Mayor Mike Signer chose to demagogue the situation by blaming the rise of white nationalists on President Donald Trump.
Many politicians, racists, hustlers and tyrants have an agenda that consists mostly of making the U.S. Constitution meaningless and giving government greater control over our lives, thereby destroying personal liberty. The alt-right and white supremacists seek to achieve their goals through racist propaganda. The leftists seek to achieve their goals by tricking Americans into believing that all they want are brotherhood and multiculturalism. If either group achieves its goals, we Americans will lose not only our liberty but also our civility. Few Americans recognize and respect the fact that multiracial societies are inherently unstable. What we&#8217;ve been doing for decades, through various government policies, is stacking up combustible racial kindling awaiting a racial arsonist to set it ablaze. There are too many historical examples of what happens to a nation when race hustlers are allowed to take over.
