Americans For Prosperity Action, a large conservative group supporting former U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley&#8217;s bid for president, has announced that it will no longer spend money to help her following her fourth straight loss.
The move by the Koch network comes after Haley lost by 20 points to former President Donald Trump last weekend.
The group endorsed Haley in late November ahead of the Iowa caucuses, which gave Haley a boost in the state and helped weaken the top alternative to Trump: Florida Governor Ron DeSantis.
Americans For Prosperity Action CEO Emily Seidel <a href="https://afpaction.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/02/AFPA-3-Ways-to-Win-2.25.24.pdf">said</a> in an email on Sunday, &#8220;Haley has shown us again and again that we made the right decision in supporting her candidacy and she continues to have our strong endorsement.&#8221;
Yet Seidel acknowledged that &#8220;given the challenges in the primary states ahead, we don’t believe any outside group can make a material difference to widen her path to victory.&#8221;
&#8220;And so while we will continue to endorse her, we will focus our resources where we can make the difference,&#8221; she added. &#8220;And that’s the U.S. Senate and House.&#8221;

Iran’s Foreign Minister, Mohammad Javad Zarif, has been doing some impressive bipartisan lobbying. Politicians from across the spectrum, from Former Secretary of State <a href="https://en.radiofarda.com/a/kerry-met-iran-zarif-several-times/29488152.html">John Kerry</a> to Sen. <a href="https://freebeacon.com/politics/mark-levin-rips-into-rand-paul-over-iran/">Rand Paul</a> (R-KY), are all taking their turns to meet with him. Their common goal: Get President Donald Trump to end his “maximum pressure” campaign against the hostile Tehran regime.
Last year, this leftist-libertarian alliance was codified into a new &#8220;non-interventionist&#8221; think tank, the Quincy Institute. On its board is Trita Parsi, a man who has for decades worked behind the scenes — often in tandem with Iranian officials, including Javad Zarif — to weaken America&#8217;s resistance to Iranian aggression and nuclear ambitions.
In the weeks since the killing of <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/hammer-the-just-and-proper-strike-of-mastermind-iranian-jihadist-qassem-soleimani">terrorist mastermind</a> Qassem Soleimani, agitation by the Iranian regime&#8217;s apologists has reached a crescendo. In response, I asked <a href="https://twitter.com/AdelleNaz">Adelle Nazarian</a>, senior media fellow at the Gold Institute for International Strategy in Washington, D.C. and fellow at the Observer Research Foundation in New Delhi, India, to tell us more.
What follows is a question-and-answer interview with Nazarian.
Who is Trita Parsi?
Nazarian: Trita Parsi is the Iranian-born founder of the National Iranian American Council (NIAC), a Washington, D.C.-based lobbying group that is <a href="https://freebeacon.com/national-security/congress-seeks-investigation-into-pro-iran-lobby-group-tied-to-tehran-regime/">allegedly the lobbying extension</a> and arm of the Iranian regime. That would be the same Iranian regime rife with corruption, terrorism, and the murder of its own people. Parsi and NIAC’s support for the Iranian regime is <a href="https://twitter.com/AdelleNaz/status/1217693851890126848?s=20">in violation of FARA [Foreign Agents Registration Act ] law</a> and they were instrumental in helping pass the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), also known as the Iran nuclear deal. Parsi is an activist who has <a href="https://www.americanthinker.com/articles/2014/03/the_ayatollahs_lobby_on_k_street.html">maintained a close relationship</a> with Iran’s Foreign Minister Mohammad <a href="https://www.bloomberg.com/opinion/articles/2015-03-31/iran-s-charmer-in-chief-wins-again">Javad Zarif</a> and was a lead advisor to the Obama administration throughout the process of executing the JCPOA. NIAC falsely claims it supports the full spectrum of Iranian interests, but it actually only cares about pushing the regime’s interests. NIAC is at odds with Iran’s Crown Prince Reza Pahlavi, his supporters, and any Iranians who do not share the dictatorial vision of the Iranian regime. If Iran’s regime falls, it will be seen as the failure of Trita Parsi.
What is the Quincy Institute?
Nazarian: Trita Parsi is the executive vice president and co-founder of the Quincy Institute, which is funded by both Charles Koch and George Soros. It is also co-founded by Iran deal advocates. This think tank aims to compel American politicians to adopt a non-interventionist foreign policy by actively funneling misinformation and propaganda to the media and, by extension, the American people. The think tank’s board is anti-Israel, with fellows having written books very critical of America’s close alliance with Israel. John Mearsheimer and Stephen Walt — both co-authors of “The Israel Lobby&#8221; and fellows at the Quincy Institute — have an issue with the so-called &#8220;Israel lobby,&#8221; but have no issue working with the Iran lobby. While on the surface, the organization presents itself with the noble aim of ending endless wars in the pursuit of international peace, its co-founders — namely Andrew Bacevich, Stephen Wertheim, Eli Clifton, and Suzanne DiMaggio — are Iran deal advocates. The group also boasts Gary Sick as a “distinguished fellow.” In 1980, Mr. Sick infamously and falsely accused officials in Ronald Reagan&#8217;s presidential campaign of making a secret deal with Iran to delay the release of the American hostages until after the election.
What are Iranians and Iranian-Americans saying? 
Nazarian: Iranians and Iranian-Americans know the Quincy Institute pushes misinformation. Parsi’s move from NIAC to the Quincy Institute is an attempt to further his lobbying and propagandizing efforts. Due to funding from Soros and Koch, Parsi has been able to shield his anti-American and pro-Iranian views and actions. Iranians do not want war with America and President Donald Trump’s neutralization of IRGC-Quds Forces Commander Gen. Qassem Soleimani pushed Iran to stop its antagonistic and provocative behavior that was swiftly deteriorating U.S.-Iran relations and leading us to war.
Though Parsi claims to speak on behalf of the full spectrum of Iranian-Americans, <a href="https://twitter.com/AdelleNaz/status/1139620277396987905?s=20">a poll conducted in June</a> shows an overwhelming 85% of participants see NIAC and its affiliates as the “enemy.” Due to President Trump’s decisive actions, the machinations and manipulations of Trita Parsi have been undone. Regardless of the future, it is clear that Trita Parsi is a menace.

The Anti-Defamation League is a joke.
Once a respected civil rights organization dedicated to fighting extremism and hate against Jews, the ADL lies in bed with violent antifa extremists and perpetuates hate against political opponents. The &#8220;progressive&#8221; group is now a brazenly partisan character assassination outfit headed by Jonathan Greenblatt, a Clinton/Obama operative and former George Soros-funded operative, whose contempt for President Donald Trump trumps all.
The ADL also partners with the corporate cheap labor lobby funded by Trump-hating billionaire Republican Charles Koch to stifle patriotic critics of open borders. In June, the Charles Koch Institute joined left-wing Silicon Valley companies and ADL&#8217;s speech police to exploit the riots in Charlottesville, Virginia, as a means of demonizing all Trump supporters and nationalist activists while giving cover to antifa online.
In 2017, left-wing antifa protesters had provoked and engaged in violent encounters at the Unite the Right rally. A man drove his car into a crowd there, killing one woman. New York Times reporter Sheryl Gay Stolberg tweeted on-scene that she &#8220;saw club-wielding &#8216;antifa&#8217; beating white nationalists being led out of the park&#8221; (a candid observation that she later deleted after blowback from her narrative-enforcing colleagues). Live video footage showed left-wing protesters hurling objects at the white nationalists.
An independent review of the clashes by Timothy J. Heaphy of the Virginia law firm Hunton &amp; Williams, commissioned by the Charlottesville city government, found that the Charlottesville police and Virginia State Patrol &#8220;failed to intervene,&#8221; &#8220;did not respond to requests for assistance,&#8221; were &#8220;insufficiently equipped to respond to mass unrest,&#8221; &#8220;failed to protect the points of egress, instead pushing the conflicting groups directly into each other,&#8221; and &#8220;failed to &#8216;stand up&#8217; to protect human life.&#8221; Police supervisors told Heaphy they were ordered out of their protection zones,&#8221; one CPD lieutenant reported. &#8220;We were sitting there with our thumbs up our asses.&#8221; Another described how &#8220;we were prevented from doing police work&#8221; and a third officer stated plainly that &#8220;we failed this community.&#8221;
No matter. Charlottesville fueled efforts by the ADL, the Charles Koch Institute, the Center for American Progress, National Immigration Forum and Hope Not Hate (all Soros-funded satellites, as I report in my new book, &#8220;Open Borders, Inc.&#8221;) to conduct an internet witch hunt against conservatives and Trump supporters under the guise of eradicating &#8220;hate&#8221; and &#8220;extremism.&#8221;
That&#8217;s the backdrop you need to know for the ADL&#8217;s unveiling this week of a compendium of coded gestures it deems &#8220;hate symbols.&#8221; The database includes the &#8220;OK&#8221; hand sign (initially a joke on the 4Chan internet troll forum), bowl haircuts (because crazed church shooter Dylan Roof had one, all white men with bad hairdos like his must be massacre-minded white supremacists), and the numbers 1-11, 100%, 9%, 12, 13, 14, 18, 28, 38, 43, 83, 88, 311, 318, 511 and 737 (because somewhere someone purportedly associated with something remotely racist had some tattoo or slogan or hand sign using the Dastardly Digits of Evil).
It&#8217;s all beyond parody, but the most astonishing entries in the ADL&#8217;s kooky cookbook of code symbols are anti-antifa emblems. Drawing a slash mark through the antifa anarchists&#8217; red and black flag is now tantamount to endorsing white nationalism. Opposing left-wing violence by a menacing network of black-masked bullies that has doxxed ICE agents, harassed elderly citizens and bloodied independent journalists, is inciting violence. Resisting defamation of immigration enforcement patriots standing up to smears by Abolish ICE and antifa is defamation.
Last weekend, I helped organize a Stand With ICE rally in Tacoma, Washington, at the GEO Group detention facility targeted by antifa firebomber Willem Van Spronsen. There, a brave Jewish immigrant from Germany, Jan Moritz held my hand and rallied the crowd of Old Glory flag-wavers against the open borders mob invoking the Nazi card to silence us:
&#8220;I escaped from tyranny and communism in East Germany as a small child. I was helped by a grandfather who escaped from tyranny and Nazi concentration camp in Germany. And these people call me a Nazi because I&#8217;m American?!&#8221;

Proving himself 1000% classier than Bill Maher and the hundred-plus leftist trolls on Twitter, Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) chastised a crowd of supporters this weekend when they openly cheered billionaire David Koch&#8217;s death.
According to <a href="https://www.cnn.com/videos/politics/2019/08/25/bernie-sanders-scolds-crowd-david-koch-death-sot-nr-vpx.cnn">CNN</a>, Bernie&#8217;s moment of civility came when he was taking questions from audience members at the Minnesota state fair.
&#8220;Yesterday, oligarch David Koch passed away,&#8221; an audience member said to Bernie as the crowd erupted into cheers.
At first, Bernie only lightly chastised the crowd by signaling them to quiet down. Later, when he took the microphone, he told them the cheers were not appropriate before segueing into political talking points.
&#8220;I don&#8217;t applaud the death of somebody. We needn&#8217;t do that,&#8221; Bernie began. &#8220;I think what we can say is that the Koch brothers and other billionaires, because of this disastrous Citizens United Supreme Court decision, have been able to spend hundreds and hundreds of millions of dollars to elect candidates who represent the wealthy and the powerful and the fossil fuel industry, which is where the Koch brothers made a lot of their money.&#8221;

Though still politically-charged, Bernie Sanders&#8217; remarks stand in stark contrast to HBO comedian Bill Maher, who said on his show &#8220;Real Time&#8221; on Friday that he was not only happy about David Koch&#8217;s death, but also hoped he endured a painful one.
&#8220;Yesterday David Koch of the zillionaire Koch brothers died &#8230; of prostate cancer. I guess I&#8217;m going to have to re-evaluate my low opinion of prostate cancer,&#8221; Maher said. &#8220;F**k him. The Amazon is burning up. I&#8217;m glad he&#8217;s dead and I hope the end was painful.&#8221;
Unfortunately, Maher was just <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/50960/billionaire-david-koch-dies-leftist-media-trash-james-barrett">simply one of many voices</a> in a choir of pundits and trolls chanting the death of David Koch as something glorious to behold, as if he were Fidel Castro or some dictator who had oppressed scores of people.

News of the 79-year-old&#8217;s death sent shock waves through the world of politics and media, with those on the political Left celebrating with glee over his passing.
In a clip flagged by NewsBusters&#8217; Brent Baker, Maher said: &#8220;Yesterday David Koch of the zillionaire Koch brothers died &#8230; of prostate cancer. I guess I&#8217;m going to have to re-evaluate my low opinion of prostate cancer.&#8221;

Koch Industries released a <a href="https://news.kochind.com/news/2019/david-koch-koch-industries">biography</a> on Koch after his passing that celebrated his life and documented a specific life event that changed his life and led him into philanthropy:
<blockquote>On February 1, 1991, David was aboard a USAir flight when it collided with a SkyWest plane upon landing at Los Angeles International Airport. Altogether, 35 people died and 29 were injured. David survived. Surrounded by smoke and fire, he barely escaped the burning cabin through a galley door at the front of the plane.
&#8220;I was amazed that I had survived this accident. Thinking back on it later, I felt that the good Lord was sitting on my shoulder and that He helped save my life because He wanted me to do good works and become a good citizen,&#8221; David told Barbara Walters in 2014. &#8220;Following that revelation, I became tremendously philanthropic, and I intend to continue being very philanthropic the rest of my life.&#8221;

Maher&#8217;s comments sparked widespread outrage online, with many saying that his remarks either crossed the line or noting that Koch will have done more with his life than those who are cheering his death.

Maher On Koch’s Death: ‘F**k Him. I’m Glad He’s Dead.’ ‘Hope’ It ‘Was Painful’

David Koch, the billionaire libertarian who played a key role in shaping American politics over the last few decades, died Friday at age 79. The announcement sparked a flood of comments online from Koch&#8217;s left-wing critics, including several left-wing media members, many of whom took the opportunity to malign the philanthropist, some even openly celebrating his death.
&#8220;While we mourn the loss of our hero, we remember his iconic laughter, insatiable curiosity, and gentle heart,&#8221; his family said in a statement reported by <a href="https://www.wsj.com/articles/billionaire-david-koch-who-spent-heavily-to-back-conservative-causes-dies-11566563837">The Wall Street Journal</a> Friday. Koch Industries Inc. also issued a statement citing Koch&#8217;s struggles with various illnesses over many years, the Journal reports.
Koch, who was socially liberal but fiscally conservative, donated over a billion to various charitable causes and also used his wealth, estimated at around $50.5 billion, to shape the political landscape, the latter earning him infamous status among the Left.
News of Koch&#8217;s death was met with both statements of gratitude for his charitable giving as well as a wave of criticism and mockery from his critics.
Among those who have issued a statement expressing appreciation for the role he played in American society and politics was Republican Sen. Rand Paul (KY). &#8220;RIP to a man who lived a life of liberty, peace and philanthropy. Great blessings bring [sic] great responsibility, and David Koch lived that way,&#8221; Paul wrote. &#8220;His many contributions will have lasting impact on our country. My thoughts are with his family today.&#8221;

On Tuesday, President Trump took to Twitter to attack the Koch brothers &#8212; Charles and David Koch, who have given millions of dollars to various causes ranging from free market think tanks to artistic and charitable endeavors. Trump was angered by their lack of support for his tariff program:

This sounds a fair bit like Bernie Sanders, but it&#8217;s pretty ridiculous to think that the Kochs have changed their principles on trade at any point. They&#8217;ve always been libertarian on trade. As Jim Geraghty notes, the Kochs have also been highly successful in picking and choosing candidates to support:

The Kochs haven&#8217;t contributed to the race against Senator Heidi Heitkamp (D-ND) because they believe the Republican running in the race isn&#8217;t sufficiently fiscally conservative, and is too friendly to Trump&#8217;s regime of tariffs and subsidies. That&#8217;s not only their prerogative, that&#8217;s not rare &#8212; the Kochs don&#8217;t intervene in every race in the country. But Trump&#8217;s attacks are only justified by his ire that the Kochs didn&#8217;t shift their principles to meet Trump&#8217;s own bizarre economic theories.

It&#8217;s unclear why Trump is declaring war on the powerful brothers with just 98 days to go until the mid-term elections. The brothers are funding nearly a dozen key races, so taking aim at them now seems self-defeating.
On the other hand, the Koch brothers appear to be moving away from conservative causes, as Fox News reported that the two are &#8220;distancing themselves from the GOP and becoming less focused on partisan politics.&#8221;

The two brothers, each worth about $60 billion, have also criticized Republicans for overspending in the $1.32 trillion budget passed in March and for Trump&#8217;s imposition of new trade tariffs on foreign products.
&#8220;We&#8217;re going to be much stricter if they say they&#8217;re for the principles we espouse and then they aren&#8217;t,&#8221; Koch said. &#8220;We&#8217;re going to more directly deal with that and hold people responsible for their commitments.&#8221;
The Koch brothers, who run the political group Americans for Prosperity, are providing help to Republican Senate candidates in Tennessee, Florida and Wisconsin, but have refused to fund several other hopefuls.

IT’S WAR: Trump Slams ‘Total Joke’ Koch Brothers, Mocks Them As ‘Overrated’

In a debate in which his opponent Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) referred to the Koch brothers twelve times, Sen. Ted. Cruz (R-TX) wrecked Democrats&#8217; attempts to &#8220;scaremonger&#8221; about the dangers of big money in politics. 
Political funding for Democrats and the broader left eclipses that for Republicans and the broader right, said Cruz on Wednesday during a CNN-hosted <a href="http://www.cnn.com/TRANSCRIPTS/1710/18/se.01.html">town hall debate</a> in Washington, D.C.
Cruz noted that the <a href="https://www.opensecrets.org/orgs/">largest political donors</a> primarily fund Democrats:

You know, there&#8217;s a pattern you see of Democrats, which is they try to scaremonger. And so their latest villain is the Koch brothers, and they say this money and politics is what it&#8217;s all about. 
But, you know, John Adams said facts are stubborn things. Here are some facts. You look at 2014. In 2014, of the top 20 groups that gave money to politics, I guess listening to Bernie they were all Republican, no? That&#8217;s not the case. Sixteen of the top 20 gave primarily to Democrats. 
The top six, ActBlue, Tom Steyer, the Carpenters and Joiners Union, the City of New York, the Democratic Governors Association, the NEA, gave almost exclusively to Democrats. Where did these mysterious Koch brothers fall on the list? Number 59.

Cruz did not describe the operational budgets of news media outlets such as CNN, MSNBC, The New York Times, The Washington Post, or BuzzFeed as broadly funding Democrat and left-wing political agitation.

Sanders pushed a Marxist narrative, framing Cruz and Republicans as defenders of the &#8220;1%&#8221; in the context of class warfare with &#8220;working families.&#8221;
Sanders referred to the Koch brothers twelve times in deriding &#8220;tax breaks for billionaires&#8221; and &#8220;the rich,&#8221; while defending the &#8220;estate tax.&#8221;
Cruz described Sanders and fellow neo-Marxist traveler Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MS) as &#8220;the heart of the Democratic Party.&#8221;

On Wednesday, The Hollywood Reporter <a href="http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/conservative-koch-brothers-are-secret-investors-wonder-woman-1027376">revealed</a> that the Koch brothers, two of the most vilified and maligned right-wing megadonors in modern American politics, are &#8220;secret investors&#8221; in the girl-power hit Wonder Woman.
&#8220;Though they might be the most reviled figures among Hollywood&#8217;s liberal crowd, the Koch brothers have been a silent investor in Warner Bros.&#8217; slate of movies for four years,&#8221; says the exclusive report.
&#8220;Sources say Charles G. Koch and David H. Koch &#8212; who are worth a combined $96.2 billion and wield enormous power in political circles as major backers of right-wing politicians &#8212; took a significant stake valued at tens of millions of dollars in RatPac-Dune Entertainment. Now-Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin brought the brothers in as investors as part of a $450 million deal struck in 2013 &#8212; a move that was never disclosed because RatPac-Dune is a private company,&#8221; notes The Hollywood Reporter. &#8220;Though Mnuchin is no longer involved with the slate financing facility, having recently put his stake into a blind trust in order to avoid a conflict of interest, the Koch brothers continue to be stakeholders in such films as Wonder Woman, Dunkirk and Steven Spielberg&#8217;s upcoming Ready Player One.&#8221;
The Koch brothers, however, are denying an such investment: &#8220;Charles Koch, David Koch and Koch Industries do not have any involvement with this investment,&#8221; said a Koch Industries spokesperson.
A source told The Hollywood Reporter that the billionaires are keeping the investment secret because the Koch brothers are &#8220;in it to make money. They&#8217;re not in it for the recognition.&#8221;
Of course, Hollywood is <a href="https://www.amazon.com/Primetime-Propaganda-True-Hollywood-Story/dp/006193478X">not exactly a place known for its warmth toward conservatives</a>. This might also be a reason for the anonymity. For example, one of the creators of Citizen Koch, a documentary which cast the Koch brothers as evil villains, has already slammed the Koch-Hollywood connection:
&#8220;I don&#8217;t think the Kochs have spent a dime of money out of altruism. It&#8217;s all toward advancing their bottom line, whether it&#8217;s in politics or the private sector. I don&#8217;t think it would be too cynical to believe that this was not calculated. It doesn&#8217;t bode well for Hollywood,&#8221; said Carl Deal.
One thing is for sure, all the liberals who once hailed Wonder Woman as one small step toward ridding their patriarchy-imposed shackles are not going to be pleasantly surprised over the news.

The Left Is NOT Going To Like Who Secretly Invested In ‘Wonder Woman’

In an interview with ABC&#8217;s George Stephanopoulos, conservative Charles Koch said, Sunday, &#8220;it&#8217;s possible&#8221; that Democratic front-runner Hillary Clinton may make a better president than the men remaining on the GOP primary ticket. Charles Koch is one half of the Koch brothers, the shadowy conservative bogeymen feared by American liberals from San Francisco to Greenwich Village. 
For years, the Koch brothers have been paraded in effigy in liberal circles and held up as the walking emblems of GOP corruption. To liberals, the brothers have been marked as the personifications of every -ism in the book; sexism, racism, fundamentalism &#8212; you name it. 
&#8220;For the American left, the philanthropy of billionaires Charles and David Koch approaches an obsession,&#8221; <a href="http://www.usnews.com/opinion/blogs/peter-roff/2014/10/24/koch-brother-haters-will-have-a-hard-time-spinning-this-donation">writes</a> US News &amp; World Report&#8217;s Peter Roff. &#8220;There is no cause they have touched, no effort they have mounted that is not &#8211; according to the clack of liberal journalists and bloggers who populate the Internet &#8211; somehow tainted by their association with it.&#8221; The obsession has spilled over into full-blown paranoia. Roff continues:
&#8220;It&#8217;s no longer just their political giving that attracts attention. Liberal activists have taken to the streets to protest Koch support for museums, for the theater and the performing arts, for medical research and for just about any other cause to which the brothers &#8211; together or individually &#8211; choose to donate a share of their considerable wealth.&#8221;
The Koch brothers are to liberals what George Soros is to conservatives. There&#8217;s no doubt that the billionaire brothers are major players on K Street. They have donated to a variety of conservative causes, donating huge sums of money to Republican congressional candidates. 
All of this makes Koch&#8217;s comments that much more groundbreaking. Koch explained his apparent preference for Hillary by suggesting that previous Republicans have not been committed to the conservative lobbyist&#8217;s chief concern: shrinking the size of the federal government. &#8220;In other ways, I mean [Bill Clinton] wasn&#8217;t an exemplar. But as far as the growth of government, the increase in spending,&#8221; Koch said on Sunday. &#8220;It was 2.5 times [more] under Bush than it was under Clinton.&#8221;
Koch even implied that Hillary&#8217;s lurch to the Left during the primary season may not be entirely representative of her actual views. &#8220;We would have to believe her actions would be quite different than her rhetoric. Let me put it that way,&#8221; he muttered with a wink and a nod. From free trade to national security, Hillary has indeed changed her tune in an attempt to pander to the liberal base. There&#8217;s no question that insurgent candidate Bernie Sanders has forced her to move left of her comfort zone. Koch&#8217;s theory is therefore not entirely misguided. There&#8217;s reason to believe that she will recalibrate her policies during the general election to appeal to moderate and independent voters. 
Yet, Hillary wasn&#8217;t too pleased with Koch&#8217;s conditional endorsement. Hillary&#8217;s reaction isn&#8217;t surprising given how much she herself as chided the Koch brothers for their lobbying efforts. Here&#8217;s what the Democratic front-runner tweeted shortly after the interview:

This isn&#8217;t the first time the Kochs have evaded simple labels. Liberal activists are keen trying to place a square peg into a round hole. The more the Left tries to pigeonhole the Koch brothers into an ideological corner, the more the siblings resist caricatures. 
According to US News &amp; World Report, Koch Industries made a &#8220;generous grant to the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers&#8221; (NACDL) in 2014 &#8220;to support its work in of the Sixth Amendment guarantee of right to counsel or, as devotees of cop shows might better recognize it, the part of the Miranda warnings read to everyone placed under arrest that they have the right to an attorney, to have the attorney present during questioning and to have an attorney provided for them free of charge if they can&#8217;t afford it&#8230;.It&#8217;s going to be interesting to see how the Koch haters out there try and spin this one.&#8221;
Although criminal justice reform is usually thought to be a policy concern of the Left, the Koch brother&#8217;s contributions to NACDL and other related causes have gone largely unnoticed by both liberals and conservatives. 
This time, Charles Koch&#8217;s latest act of defiance against ideological orthodoxy will likely draw the ire of both the Left and the Right.

The Koch brothers, who likely appear in Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid&#8217;s (D-NV) nightmares, aren&#8217;t going to take on real estate mogul Donald Trump.
James Davis, spokesman for Freedom Partners&#8211;the Koch brothers&#8217; umbrella organization, told <a href="http://www.reuters.com/article/us-usa-election-trump-koch-exclusive-idUSMTZSAPEC32FPEGCF">Reuters,</a> &#8220;We have no plans to get involved in the primary.&#8221; Sources told Reuters that the Koch brothers felt like there would be no point spending millions against Trump since no attack on Trump has been effective so far.
