Former Republican George Conway is entering New York’s crowded Democratic primary for its Twelfth Congressional District to replace retiring Rep. Jerry Nadler.
Conway is the ex-husband of Kellyanne Conway, former Senior Counselor to President Donald Trump, but George is a vocal critic of the president. The couple got divorced in early 2023.
“We have a demented, criminal president running the country like a mob operation—government by the boss, for the boss,” he posted to X alongside a campaign video featuring footage from Jan. 6, as it’s been five years since the Capitol riot. “We need Democratic fighters who will defend the rule of law and deliver government by the people. Join us.”
The attorney joins a boisterous field, which includes former President John F. Kennedy’s grandson Jack Schlossberg, Parkland activist Cameron Kasky and Assemblyman Alex Bores. The seat is solidly Democratic, but the district’s Manhattan location paired with Nadler’s retirement has given the race a degree of national attention.
Conway was part of the anti-Trump Lincoln Project, but supported its closure amid allegations of sexual harassment of minors against co-founder John Weaver, the <a href="https://nypost.com/2021/02/16/george-conway-calls-for-lincoln-project-to-be-shut-down/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">New York Post</a> reported in 2021.

“An investigation is necessary. But it has to be thorough, and not a whitewash. And—THE LYING HAS TO STOP. It&#8217;s clear now that, as early last *MARCH*, the people who were in operational control of the Lincoln Project…. were told of Weaver&#8217;s predations,” Conway posted to Twitter in 2021. “Enough is enough. LP needs to waive the NDAs and come clean.”
He left the group in 2020, saying at the time that he needed to focus on his family, but adding he would continue to “passionately” support the group.
<a href="https://www.the-independent.com/news/world/americas/us-politics/george-conway-donald-trump-house-campaign-democrat-b2894973.html#" target="_blank" rel="noopener">The Independent</a> reported that Conway now rents an apartment in the Chelsea neighborhood, and he did not mince words in an interview with the British publication.
“Everything is at stake — democracy is at stake, the rule of law is at stake, constitutional government is at stake. And it&#8217;s no longer good enough for me to sit and lob things in from the spectator seats,” Conway told the outlet.
He previously worked in the city, but recently lived in the Washington, D.C., suburbs, according to the <a href="https://www.latimes.com/world-nation/story/2026-01-06/george-conway-persistent-trump-critic-is-running-for-congress-in-new-york" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Los Angeles Times</a>.
In October, a photo of George Conway wearing an “I am Antifa” T-shirt at a “No Kings” rally went viral after social media influencer Benny Johnson posted it, to which the now-Democrat replied, “I love how these people think this is some kind of gotcha. Thanks for posting, Benny!!”
Some conservative commentators pointed out that the race could become a race to the bottom for criticism of the Trump administration.
“Ah, the ‘I am Antifa’ shirt suddenly makes a lot more sense if he has to get out of a Democratic primary. This is going to be the most online primary of all time. Cameron Kasky and Jack Schlossberg also running. ‘I hate Trump more!’ ‘No, I do!’ ‘No, me!’” political columnist Karol Markowicz posted to X.
“When ‘Orange Man Bad’ becomes your entire personality,” political consultant Chapin D. Fay posted.
The primary is scheduled for June.

&#8220;It just shows how desperate and concerned they are that they are not certain that they’re supporting a strong, intelligent woman for president,&#8221; Conway said, adding that Harris is &#8220;down in the polls or maybe tied. And I’m standing here from the Ellipse with the White House in the background without a teleprompter, because I’m able to speak with you. The place where I worked for four years for President Trump.&#8221;
Conway alluded to her <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DgwOm19_3zo" target="_blank" rel="noopener">speech</a> to the Republican National Convention, when she talked about a senior staff meeting in the White House, and mentioned other women who worked with in the Trump administration, including: Brooke Rollins, Sarah Huckabee Sanders, Mercedes Schlapp, and Trump&#8217;s daughter Ivanka Trump.

Conway talked about how Cuban&#8217;s remarks were just the latest to disparage Trump&#8217;s supporters, shortly after President <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/joe-biden" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Joe Biden</a> called them <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/biden-declares-trump-supporters-are-garbage" target="_blank" rel="noopener">&#8220;garbage&#8221;</a> this week. And Hillary Clinton, who lost to Trump in the 2016 presidential election, <a href="https://time.com/4486502/hillary-clinton-basket-of-deplorables-transcript/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">described</a> her rival&#8217;s backers as being &#8220;irredeemable&#8221; and in a &#8220;basket full of deplorables.&#8221;
She said: &#8220;It really doesn’t matter to me what desperate people say. What I care about is defending the tens of millions of strong, intelligent women who are going to vote for Donald Trump next Tuesday and already have. And whether it’s Joe Biden calling us &#8216;garbage&#8217; or mega MAGA extremists, Hillary with the &#8216;deplorable,&#8217; &#8216;irredeemable,&#8217; and now Mark Cuban questioning that women around Donald Trump would not be strong or intelligent. Comedian <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/bill-maher" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Bill Maher</a> took a shot at President Joe Biden this week for effectively supporting the anti-Semitic protesters on college campuses with his latest student loan bailout.
Maher made the remarks Friday evening on his HBO show &#8220;Real Time&#8221; while discussing the recent demonstrations that have roiled numerous top universities.
&#8220;When I read about the college loans … &#8216;Biden administration&#8217;s student debt cancelation will cost a combined $870 billion to $1.4 trillion.&#8217; That&#8217;s a lot of debt forgiveness,&#8221; Maher said. &#8220;Colleges constantly raise tuition, then the kids take out more loans, then the government comes by and pays those loans. Okay, so my tax dollars are supporting this Jew hating? I don&#8217;t think so.&#8221;
Maher discussed the issue with former Trump campaign manager Kellyanne Conway and Bloomberg Businessweek correspondent Joshua Green.
&#8220;Yeah, I mean, Trump is winning the youth vote by, I think, 11 points, that&#8217;s pretty astounding to me,&#8221; Maher said, referring to a recent CNN poll. &#8220;What do you make of that?&#8221;
&#8220;What I make of that a lot of it is if you turn on your TV today, you see young people protesting, angry, fighting with cops,&#8221; Green said. &#8220;What you don&#8217;t see is Donald Trump in a criminal trial. What you don&#8217;t see is, you know, one of his blue chip vice presidential candidates murdered dog a week ago and is two weeks into talking about that story. All of these stories that could potentially be damaging for Republicans to help Joe Biden have fallen by the wayside because all of the attention is on these protesters and on these fights, on their behavior, and on the fact that a lot of people don&#8217;t like what they see on the television.&#8221;

Conway fired back: &#8220;Yes, chaos and crisis in the Trump administration in a tweet, in a comment here and there, now it&#8217;s chaos and crisis everywhere we look. At the border, on our college campuses, by the way, in our halls of Congress, 31 Democrats voted against the resolution last October 18 to condemn Hezbollah and Hamas.&#8221;
&#8220;And the resolution clearly said, Bill, that they were concerned about institutions of higher education allowing sympathies for Hezbollah and Hamas, which our own government, Biden&#8217;s government, Trump&#8217;s government have declared terrorist groups, and they specifically said in there it was going to hurt, make uncomfortable, if not worse, Jewish students with all this anti-Semitism,&#8221; she continued. &#8220;That was October 18! 31 Democrats, including the most well-known young ones, the Squad that doesn&#8217;t do squat, for example, all voted against that resolution.&#8221;
Maher said that he completely agreed with Conway.

A guest essay from Conway, <a href="https://www.nytimes.com/2024/02/05/opinion/trump-vice-president.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">published in The New York Times</a>, argued that &#8220;who?&#8221; is less important than &#8220;why?&#8221; when coming up with the &#8220;most important&#8221; question for Trump when it comes to a running mate in 2024.
&#8220;In other words, the individual should complement, not complicate, his America First record and vision, and recognize the difference between loyalty-as-tenacity (yes) and loyalty-as-obsequiousness (no),&#8221; Conway wrote.
Conway, who noted that she recommended Mike Pence as a running mate in 2016, posited that Trump&#8217;s former Secretary of State and CIA Director Mike Pompeo, as well as Sen. Tom Cotton (R-AR) or Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL), could be viable picks when it comes to helping Trump wade through challenges both at home and abroad.
Sen. J.D. Vance (R-OH) or Rubio could be a boon to Trump in deftly navigating the contentious issue of abortion, Conway suggested. She also mentioned Sen. Tim Scott (R-SC), who dropped out of the 2024 presidential contest and endorsed Trump.
Conway said the &#8220;most popular suggestion&#8221; she had heard was that Trump should &#8220;pick a woman&#8221; as a running mate, as President Joe Biden did with now-Vice President Kamala Harris. Although Conway noted that Biden and the country &#8220;suffer daily the consequences of embracing identity politics,&#8221; she said there are &#8220;qualified, compelling&#8221; women that Trump could pick.
Among &#8220;accomplished young, elected officials who happen to be mothers of young children,&#8221; Conway submitted Sen. Katie Britt (R-AL), Rep. Elise Stefanik (R-NY), and Arkansas Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders — who served as Trump&#8217;s press secretary. There were also &#8220;experienced female elected officials/grandmothers,&#8221; including Sen. Joni Ernst (R-IA), Sen. Marsha Blackburn (R-TN), and South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem.
A &#8220;push in some quarters&#8221; for Trump to pick his <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/nikki-haley-takes-on-trump-and-civil-war-controversy-in-saturday-night-live-appearance" target="_blank" rel="noopener">top remaining rival</a> in the 2024 GOP primary contest, Trump-era U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/nikki-haley" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Nikki Haley</a>, &#8220;rests on the false belief that she can somehow attract moderates and independents that he can’t,&#8221; Conway said, pointing to Haley <a href="https://www.nytimes.com/2023/11/17/us/politics/nikki-haley-abortion-six-weeks.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">declaring</a> that she would have signed a six-week heartbeat bill as governor of South Carolina.
Conway also raised doubts that Florida Governor Ron DeSantis could attract more voters to a Trump ticket after his <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/desantis-after-second-place-finish-in-iowa-they-threw-everything-but-the-kitchen-sink-at-us" target="_blank" rel="noopener">second-place finish</a> in Iowa and ending his 2024 presidential campaign with a Trump <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/desantis-suspends-2024-presidential-campaign-endorses-trump" target="_blank" rel="noopener">endorsement</a>.
The guest essay said Conway is not affiliated with Trump&#8217;s 2024 campaign, but Conway wrote that if she were advising Trump, she would suggest a &#8220;person of color &#8230; as an equal helping to lead an America First movement that includes more union workers, independents, first-time voters, veterans, Hispanics, Asian Americans and African Americans&#8221; rather than for &#8220;identity politics a la the Democrats.&#8221;

Wesley Hunt (R-TX), Conway said while acknowledging that &#8220;vetting of all possibilities and satisfaction of procedural issues like dual residency in Florida&#8221; are procedural issues that would need to be considered.
Conway said Dr. Ben Carson, a former neurosurgeon and Trump Cabinet member, is &#8220;currently a Trumpworld insider favorite,&#8221; and Vivek Ramaswamy, a businessman who suspended his presidential campaign to endorse Trump, is &#8220;a favorite among some in Mr. Trump’s ear and on social media.&#8221;
The guest essay concluded with Conway saying Trump &#8220;keeps us guessing&#8221; and does not need to &#8220;rush&#8221; his decision. Pro-life advocates held a virtual press conference Tuesday celebrating the one-year anniversary of the U.S. Supreme Court’s overturning <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/roe-v-wade" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Roe v. Wade</a>, a decision seven male judges made 50 years ago that resulted in the deaths of more than 63 million unborn children.
“Susan B Anthony Pro-Life America has been working very hard and very long to open up democracy in this country to allow the people to speak through their elected representatives and pass legislation that will protect the children of this country in the greatest human rights calls of our time,” Marjorie Dannenfelser, president of the Susan B Anthony Pro-Life America (SBA), said.
Dannenfelser joined political strategist Kellyanne Conway and dozens of female lawmakers nationwide who led the charge in implementing pro-life legislation in their states.
On June 24, 2022, the nation’s highest court <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/united-states-supreme-court-overturns-roe-v-wade-leaves-abortion-restrictions-to-states" target="_blank" rel="noopener">repealed</a> the monumental Roe v. Wade case that legalized abortion across America and ruled 6-3 in Dobbs v.s. Jackson Women’s Health Organization. An early leak of a draft opinion indicating which way the judges would rule prompted nationwide protests and dozens of attacks and vandalism of pro-life organizations, centers, and churches.
Justice Samuel Alito wrote that Roe and a subsequent case, Planned Parenthood v. Casey, which upheld Roe, both must be overturned, and the right to allow, deny, or restrict the right to an abortion must reside with states.
The decision fundamentally changed the abortion landscape across the nation.
In the following months, nearly half of the nation in Republican-led states passed laws protecting life between conception and 12 weeks, and pregnancy centers and maternity homes supporting mother and child outnumber Planned Parenthood facilities 14 to one, <a href="https://sbaprolife.org/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/23.6.9-Dobbs-anniv-media-fact-sheet-1-1.pdf" target="_blank" rel="noopener">according</a> to the pro-life organization.
Pregnancy center leaders and recipients of such services shared their experiences over the last year.

Kathleen Wilson, executive director of the faith-based pregnancy crisis center Mary’s Shelter in Fredricksburg, Virginia, said in the aftermath of Roe, the organization doubled in locations after witnessing an uptick in calls from women seeking counseling during pregnancy. According to Wilson, the organization added three new homes for its resources in the last 12 months.
Sylvia Johnson, chief executive officer of the Houston Pregnancy Help Center in Texas, said after the Dobbs decision, she hoped minority communities — specifically the black community — would understand the racism attached to the abortion industry.
Johnson, who said she has been serving 30 years in the “shadows” of the largest Planned Parenthood in the United States located in a minority community, said upon celebrating the Supreme Court’s decision, three white women were outside the facility blocking others from entering the pregnancy center.
The National Right to Life Center <a href="https://www.nrlc.org/outreach/bal/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">estimated</a> by the end of 2021 that nearly 40% of women who seek abortions are African American, making the practice the leading cause of death in the community.
Dannenfelser quoted Alice Paul&#8217;s words — the original author of the Equal Rights Amendment — saying abortion is &#8220;the ultimate exploitation of women.&#8221;
&#8220;So what I hope that we can come out of this conversation today and the week where we in a pro-life, but celebrate the overturn of Roe vs. Wade, the Dobbs decision, a new culture of life where we&#8217;re ushering in hope and positive choices and ending those cycles that are hurtful to women,&#8221; she said.
Conway, who served as senior counselor to former President Donald Trump, urged presidential and congressional candidates to take a firm stance on abortion moving forward.
“This is that issue that melds together gender, law, politics, government — at the state, local and federal level — certainly science and medicine, religion and morality,” Conway said. “So from the beginning, we must acknowledge that it is a very complex issue being tackled by very complex people.”
Conway and the pro-life organization also suggested candidates seeking the Republican nomination to support a federal ban on abortions after 15 weeks of pregnancy.

Griffin, who resigned from the Trump administration on January 6, 2021, has since been quite vocal of her opposition to Trump. &#8220;As somebody who regrettably worked for Donald Trump, I do not want to see that man ever be president again,&#8221; she said.

Maher made his comments about the leftist newspaper during a panel discussion with former President Donald Trump adviser Kellyanne Conway, activist Cornel West, and journalist Josh Barro on his show “Real Time with Bill Maher.”
“The New York Times buried this,” Maher <a href="https://www.mediaite.com/uncategorized/bill-maher-kellyanne-conway-agree-ny-times-buried-kavanaugh-murder-plot-because-hes-conservative-fuck-it/">said</a>. “If this had been a liberal Supreme Court justice that someone came to kill, it would have been on the front page. Maher’s criticism of the Times comes after several newspapers buried stories on Kavanaugh’s alleged would-be assassin. “Conservatives on social media were quick to point out Thursday morning that the front pages of the print editions of the New York Times, Los Angeles Times, Chicago Tribune, and USA Today did not highlight the incident above the fold or did not include the story at all,” The Daily Wire previously <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/major-media-fail-to-highlight-coverage-of-alleged-would-be-kavanaugh-assassin-on-front-page">reported</a>.
Both the Times and the Chicago Tribune focused on the January 6 hearings as their biggest stories, while USA Today’s featured story was on the families and survivors of the Uvalde, Texas, school shooting.
The Times mentioned the alleged Kavanaugh assassination plot in small font at the bottom of the front page, which simply read, “Arrest Near Home of Justice.”

On Wednesday, 26-year-old Nicholas John Roske was <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/police-id-armed-man-who-said-he-wanted-to-kill-supreme-court-justice-kavanaugh-report">arrested</a> outside of Kavanaugh’s home and charged with attempted murder of a federal judge, according to the Department of Justice (DOJ). Roske was reportedly upset with the possible overturning of Roe v. Wade and Kavanaugh’s stance on the Second Amendment.
According to the affidavit, Roske found Kavanaugh’s address online, and brought a gun and burglary tools with him to allegedly kill the justice.
“Roske stated that he began thinking about how to give his life a purpose and decided that he would kill the Supreme Court Justice after finding the Justice’s Montgomery County address on the Internet,” a DOJ affidavit said. “Roske further indicated that he had purchased the Glock pistol and other items for the purpose of breaking into the Justice’s residence and killing the Justice as well as himself.”

Former colleagues Kellyanne Conway and Alyssa Farah Griffin clashed in spectacular fashion on Tuesday&#8217;s broadcast of &#8220;The View.&#8221;
Both women worked in former President Donald Trump&#8217;s White House — Conway as Trump&#8217;s campaign manager in 2016 and then as senior advisor, and Griffin as a spokesperson for Vice President Mike Pence before transitioning to the Pentagon — and when they came together for the ABC midday talk show, sparks flew.
Griffin began the segment with a comment about Trump&#8217;s <a href="https://dailywire.com/news/dont-boo-her-whoopi-goldberg-scolds-the-view-audience-over-reaction-to-kellyanne-conway/">re-election campaign</a>, saying that she had heard several people say that if Conway had run his 2020 campaign, he might have won.

&#8220;I wanted to help my junior staff get jobs,&#8221; Griffin objected.
&#8220;That&#8217;s good and I think people should know that, because I haven&#8217;t seen you since you&#8217;ve changed,&#8221; Conway pressed. &#8220;But I want to say this to you —&#8221;
&#8220;I didn&#8217;t change,&#8221; Griffin interrupted. &#8220;Just to be clear, I didn&#8217;t change. I swore an oath to the Constitution —&#8221;
&#8220;You get to talk here every day. I&#8217;m here as a guest,&#8221; Conway shot back.
&#8220;I didn’t change. I swore an oath to the Constitution not to Donald Trump,&#8221; Griffin repeated.
&#8220;As we all did,&#8221; Conway replied, as the audience applauded and cheered, noting that
Conway went on to argue that former White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows had been part of the problem, arguing that he did not &#8220;match the moment for a global pandemic, a re-election campaign.&#8221;
&#8220;Neither did Donald Trump,&#8221; Griffin interrupted, complaining that Conway had not answered her question.
&#8220;I was on ABC live on January 6th. With George Stephanopoulos. And I said, people have to get out of the Capitol, what are you doing there? Why have you breached the Capitol?&#8221; Conway pushed back.
&#8220;But you&#8217;re still supporting Donald Trump now,&#8221; Griffin objected.
&#8220;Alyssa, if you’re saying that somehow you think we’re supposed to think that you’ve seen the light and not just seen your name in lights, that’s not fair,&#8221; Conway said, appearing to suggest that Griffin had turned on Trump when it was advantageous to do so.
&#8220;That&#8217;s such a cheap shot,&#8221; Griffin replied. &#8220;You’re not answering the question.&#8221;
Griffin argued that Conway had not denounced a possible second term for Trump, and the two began talking over each other again — prompting co-host Whoopi Goldberg to interrupt and threaten to end the segment if they couldn&#8217;t dial it back.

&#8220;I want to talk to you about the &#8220;big lie&#8221; and is the stolen election,&#8221; co-host Sunny Hostin began the segment with a direct question for Conway.
&#8220;The Russian collusion illusion?&#8221; Conway pushed back prompting a few laughs from the audience. &#8220;Three years. Three years worth.&#8221;
&#8220;Um, no, well, there are a lot of lies,&#8221; Hostin said. &#8220;Because I think by tend of the term Donald Trump had accumulated 30,570 lies during his presidency, but I want to talk about the big lie. The stolen election. You write that Trump was more shocked about losing in 2020 than he was about winning in 2016, that he couldn’t comprehend how he lost to Joe Biden. People around him lied to him and told him he won. Did you lie to him about winning?&#8221;
&#8220;Never,&#8221; Conway said.
&#8220;Can you agree that he lost both the popular vote and Electoral College?&#8221; Hostin asked.
&#8220;It’s pretty obvious that Joe Biden is the president, I can&#8217;t believe we&#8217;re still talking about this, respectfully,&#8221; Conway pushed back, and the co-hosts began talking over each other.
&#8220;Hold on. I write extensively in this book that I am the closest person to Donald Trump to tell him the earliest he came up short,&#8221; Conway continued. &#8220;It broke my heart. I wanted him to get re-elected.&#8221;
Conway went on to suggest that Trump&#8217;s campaign team had effectively wasted millions of dollars when she believed they should have been able to win reelection based on his policies and accomplishments.
&#8220;He should have won huge, he had all these accomplishments. He&#8217;s running against a guy who&#8217;s stuck in the basement, and you’re in the middle of the pandemic –&#8221;
The audience began to boo then, and <a href="https://dailywire.com/news/it-doesnt-matter-what-you-think-whoopi-blows-up-at-conservative-guest-for-daring-to-ask-when-life-begins/">Goldberg interrupted</a>.
&#8220;Let me — Let me do something before you say anything else,&#8221; Goldberg said, turning to address the audience directly. &#8220;Listen, this is &#8216;The View.&#8217; And this is her view and she’s talking about how she feels and what she knows, please don’t boo her.&#8221;
&#8220;I think they’re booing Biden staying in the basement,&#8221; Conway quipped with a smile.
&#8220;Why does he continue to lie about it then?&#8221; Hostin asked.
&#8220;President Trump was told again and again by people in his campaign, &#8216;You&#8217;re going to win in a landslide,'&#8221; Conway replied. &#8220;After he was coming up short, they were saying &#8216;there’s a way we can do this.'&#8221;
Conway went on to note that what she had told him privately was not different than what she had said publicly — that until the election was certified on December 14, he had the right to amass whatever evidence he could of any potential fraud.

Former President Donald Trump briefly considered dropping out of the 2016 presidential race, according to the new book authored by his then-campaign manager Kellyanne Conway.
Conway&#8217;s book, &#8220;Here&#8217;s the Deal,&#8221; is set for a Tuesday release – and <a href="https://www.thedailybeast.com/kellyanne-conway-book-trump-toyed-with-quitting-after-access-hollywood-pussy-tape?scrolla=5eb6d68b7fedc32c19ef33b4">according to The Daily Beast</a>, Trump held a private meeting with her after the &#8220;Access Hollywood&#8221; tape leaked to the press.
According to Conway, on the evening of October 8, 2016 — just hours after the <a href="https://dailywire.com/news/billy-bush-blasts-nbc-for-firing-him-over-trump-access-hollywood-tape-claims-he-was-sacrificed-for-political-gain/">tape went public</a> — she and Trump met on the 24th floor of Trump Tower to discuss how he should respond to the situation.
&#8220;Trump had seen reports that the GOP &#8216;could force him off the ticket or hold a vote to expel him&#8217; amid the fury over his &#8216;disgusting&#8217; comments, captured on video a decade earlier, Conway wrote,&#8221; according to The Daily Beast.
&#8220;Should I get out?&#8221; Trump reportedly asked Conway, despite telling The Wall Street Journal earlier in the day that there was &#8220;zero chance I’ll quit. I never, ever give up.&#8221;
Conway said that she wondered at the time whether he was really unsure of his next steps or whether he was simply testing her — but that she never really considered him quitting the race to be a viable option.
&#8220;You actually can’t unless you want to forfeit and throw the whole d*** thing to Hillary,&#8221; Conway says she told Trump.
&#8220;What do you mean, I can’t?&#8221; Trump asked, according to the book — and Conway says she pointed out the fact that early voting had already begun.
&#8220;I know you don’t like to lose, but I also know you don’t like to quit,&#8221; Conway pushed back.
&#8220;Will I lose? Will we lose? Can we still win?&#8221; Conway wrote that Trump still seemed unsure but that she said there was still a path to victory.
According to the book, in addition to reassuring Trump that victory was still possible despite the barrage of negative press that was still incoming, Conway was forthright with her boss about what she thought of the taped remarks.
Conway said that she told Trump to his face that his comments to then &#8220;Access Hollywood&#8221; host Billy Bush were &#8220;disgusting&#8221; and &#8220;reprehensible.&#8221;
Despite what she said in private, Conway continued to defend Trump in public interviews, telling CNN&#8217;s Dana Bash that &#8220;sexual assault&#8221; was not the right phrase to use to describe Trump&#8217;s comments — which did not mention any specific woman or incident.
When Bash pushed back, Conway asked why no one wanted to interview the women who had accused former President Bill Clinton of rape.

In a follow-up post reacting to criticism on left-wing social media site Twitter, Conway suggested her foes &#8220;get some fresh air&#8221; and &#8220;make a friend&#8221; offline.

Conway was not alone in her defiant message. Trump-era White House Press Secretary <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/sean-spicer-i-will-not-resign-from-naval-academy-suing-biden-admin-for-kicking-him-off-board">Sean Spicer</a> announced Wednesday that he will not be resigning from the Naval Academy Board and will instead join a lawsuit against the Biden administration.
“All Trump appointees, including myself, have been kicked off the boards of the United States Naval Academy Air Force Academy in West Point in an unprecedented move by the Biden administration,” Spicer <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/sean-spicer-i-will-not-resign-from-naval-academy-suing-biden-admin-for-kicking-him-off-board">announced</a> his Newsmax show, “Spicer &amp; Company.&#8221;

Earlier in the day, White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki suggested Conway, Spicer, and others from the past administration are not “qualified” to be on the board and do not “align” with Biden administration “values.”
&#8220;The President&#8217;s objective is what any president&#8217;s objective is &#8212; to ensure you have nominees and people serving on these boards who are qualified to serve on them and who are aligned with your values,&#8221; Psaki said at the presser. &#8220;And so yes, that was an ask that was made.&#8221;
&#8220;I will let others evaluate whether they think Kellyanne Conway and Sean Spicer and others were qualified, or not political, to serve on these boards, but the President&#8217;s qualification requirements are not your party registration, they are whether you&#8217;re qualified to serve and whether you&#8217;re aligned with the values of this administration,&#8221; she added.

The removals range from highly credentialed experts at obscure entities where politics are unlikely to be an issue, such as the Arctic Research Commission, to military service academies.
In some cases, the Biden administration initially opted to refused to convene the commissions, including the National Board for Education Sciences — meaning the Biden administration chose to suspend a board dedicated to science in education during a year defined by schools’ attempt to grapple with how they should respond to the coronavirus, seemingly to ensure that no one tied to Trump would have a voice.</blockquote>

The popular singing talent show, &#8216;American Idol,&#8217; premiered on Sunday night, debuting the audition of Claudia Conway, the 16-year-old daughter of Kellyanne Conway, former adviser to Donald Trump and George Conway, attorney and co-founder of The Lincoln Project.
The <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R3L_ezsLKkc">video</a> of her audition has garnered over one million views on Youtube. It begins with Conway walking into the room where the three judges await her performance. Katy Perry, one of the judges along with Lionel Richie and Luke Bryan, asks her, &#8220;Are you okay?&#8221; to which the young Conway laughingly responds, &#8220;No.&#8221; Conway tells the judges that she &#8220;only want[s] to spread love.&#8221;
In the biographical portion of the episode, Conway described her upbringing. “I had to move to Washington, D.C., when I was 12, and I hated it,” she said. “When your mom’s working for the President of the United States, who you very much disagree with, it’s really hard.”
Kellyanne Conway made an appearance over a video call before her daughter auditioned, saying, &#8220;This is your time to shine. But remember, honey, winners are people who are willing to lose.&#8221;
Perry pushed the young Conway to talk about her relationship with her mother, saying, &#8220;Does [your mom] still hug you?&#8221; which received a laugh from Lionel Richie. The 16-year-old responded, saying she and her mom love each other, but their relationship is &#8220;a little iffy.&#8221;
She said that for most of her life, her &#8220;feelings had been suppressed.&#8221; Once she got on social media, however, she said her voice was heard.
Her father, George Conway, accompanied her to the audition. He became emotional when speaking to the cameras about his daughter, saying, &#8220;she loves music and I&#8217;m really thrilled that she&#8217;s here&#8230;&#8221;
Last year, the Conway daughter rose to fame over social media apps, such as TikTok, when she started posting videos accusing her parents of abuse and mistreatment.
Last August, when Conway was fifteen, she announced she would be seeking emancipation from her parents. In a tweet, she said, &#8220;buckle up because this is probably going to be public one way or another, unfortunately. welcome to my life&#8221;

According to <a href="https://www.vox.com/the-goods/2021/1/20/22241304/claudia-conway-kellyanne-abuse-tiktok-covid">Vox</a>, in mid-January of this year, Claudia alleged on TikTok that her mother has been &#8220;physically, mentally, and emotionally abusive.&#8221;
<a href="https://www.vox.com/the-goods/2021/1/20/22241304/claudia-conway-kellyanne-abuse-tiktok-covid">Vox</a> reported:
<blockquote>On January 19, Claudia posted a series of videos appearing to show Kellyanne shouting, cursing frequently, belittling, and seemingly hitting her daughter. Claudia said she had been recording their fights for years, and that these examples were only a handful of many throughout her life.</blockquote>
A week after the videos had been posted, Kellyanne Conway was accused of posting nude photos of her daughter online. However, Claudia defended her mother.

I have faith and I know that my mother would never put something like that on the internet.”
After announcing that she was taking a break from social media, she said, “Please no threats, no calls to authorities.” </blockquote>
Her parents also announced individual resignations from their positions, with George Conway tweeting he would be taking time away from Twitter &#8220;to devote more time to family matters.&#8221;

After Sunday&#8217;s public audition, many viewers spoke out against the show for seemingly using the young Conway to boost ratings.
Some detailed their disapproval of the show propelling Kellyanne Conway and seemingly portraying her in a positive light. Others, however, called out the show for using a difficult family situation to get ratings.

Conway began her audition singing &#8220;Love on the Brain&#8221; by Rihanna, but Katy Perry stopped the singer, telling her to try something else. Conway then sang Adele&#8217;s &#8220;When We Were Young.&#8221; Perry seemed to coach Conway before she sang for a second time, leading her and telling her to “think about when you were young and there’s a sadness there. It’s like you lost your youth because you weren’t able to experience it on your own without all of this noise.”
Claudia&#8217;s claims against her parents have not been corroborated, and she is a minor. This is the most recent example of media companies using the Conways&#8217; family situation for their own benefit.
The young Conway advanced to the next round of the reality television show.
