Comedian <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/kathy-griffin">Kathy Griffin</a> is worried that Republican presidential candidate <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/donald-trump">Donald Trump</a> plans to go after <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/comedian">comedians</a> if he is re-elected in November. 
&#8220;He’s going to pick us off, one by one, like bowling pins, and I’m not kidding and I’m not being paranoid,&#8221; the celeb <a href="https://ew.com/kathy-griffin-fears-for-comedians-donald-trump-elected-pick-us-off-8709936">told</a> Entertainment Weekly during a recent interview. 
&#8220;I’m a D-lister, he’s not going to get to me on day one, but he’ll get to me, trust me,” Griffin continued. “He’s got a list. I’ve known this guy for 25 years, maybe 30. He’s so petty that he lives for this. He doesn’t want to be President or do any president-ing.”
Griffin referenced the infamous photograph from 2017 of her holding a replica of Trump’s decapitated head in her hand. That image and the extreme backlash she received inspired Griffin to create her current tour, called “My Life on the PTSD List.”
Griffin, 63, also told the outlet she was almost arrested for conspiracy to assassinate the President of the United States following a &#8220;chilling&#8221; investigation.

&#8220;If he gets re-elected, he’ll go after Jimmy Kimmel, he’ll go after Jon Stewart, all the name ones, but he’ll go after Rosie O’Donnell. That’s all he’s going to do all day,&#8221; Griffin told the outlet. &#8220;He’ll have press conferences about it. He’s so much crazier than he was the first go-round.&#8221;
The photographer who helped Griffin create the severed head image in 2017, Tyler Shields, <a href="https://ew.com/news/2017/05/30/kathy-griffin-trump-head-photo-tyler-shields/">told</a> EW at the time that Griffin had expressed she was perfectly fine with going to jail for the image.
“Fortunately, we have freedom of speech [in the first amendment], and all art is generally protected by these things, but again, this was [Griffin’s] first thought, ‘Will you bail me out of jail?’ You know, again, it wasn&#8217;t, ‘I don&#8217;t want to do this because I might go to jail.’ It was like, ‘Well, I&#8217;m gonna do it and whatever happens, happens.’&#8221;
Griffin later publicly apologized for the image and has since expressed regret, saying it caused her to lose many social media followers.

The 62-year-old <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/entertainment" target="_blank" rel="noopener">celebrity</a> recently underwent vocal surgery. In August 2021, she discussed being diagnosed with lung cancer and having a lobectomy to remove the cancer. 
During a new interview with <a href="https://people.com/kathy-griffin-cancer-voice-surgery-ptsd-las-vegas-exclusive-7547672" target="_blank" rel="noopener">People</a>, Griffin talked about her “crippling” anxiety and PTSD, which she said stems from her medical issues and from the 2017 photo scandal. The comedian made headlines after sharing an image of herself holding what looked like the severed, bloody head of then-President <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/donald-trump" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Donald Trump</a>. 
During the fallout from the controversy, Griffin was fired from her annual New Year&#8217;s Eve co-host job with Anderson Cooper. Also, more than 25 theaters canceled her upcoming shows in the wake of her posting the photo. 
“I feel like I lost my voice creatively. And then I got cancer, and I literally lost my voice. And honestly, I think that&#8217;s kind of the PTSD,” she said of what happened after. 
Griffin bragged about her upcoming solo show in Las Vegas, describing the tickets practically selling out as “unbelievable.”
&#8220;It&#8217;s actually hard to sell tickets to Vegas, because it&#8217;s a very last-minute town. And you know, that&#8217;s real. Like money talks, bullsh** walks. So I&#8217;m hoping that other buyers see my ticket sales and go, ‘Hey, she&#8217;s not controversial anymore.’”
&#8220;I am coming out of my cancellation. And the cancer isn&#8217;t killing me. I can still put together a show. I love writing,&#8221; Griffin said. &#8220;I don&#8217;t know what&#8217;s gonna work. I don&#8217;t know what isn&#8217;t. The comedian said she’s planning on sharing “the whole journey” of what happened in the post-photo scandal years, but confirmed that she’s not planning to use Trump in her material. 
“I feel like I figuratively lost my comedic voice because of the Trump photo scandal, I literally lost my voice due to the cancer surgery and now I finally have my voice back,” Griffin told People. “I’m a grateful, naughty comedian again!”

Fox News reported that the remarks were an apparent reference to NBC’s competing New Year show with Miley Cyrus and Dolly Parton.

During a company town hall back in November, CNN chairman and CEO Chris Licht <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/cnn-cracks-down-on-drinking-during-new-years-eve-live-viewers-mourn-loss-of-hosts-on-air-antics" target="_blank" rel="noopener" data-reader-unique-id="4">informed</a> staff that he would put a stop to much of the drinking that has usually been a hallmark of CNN’s New Year’s Eve programming.
At the time, it was believed that hosts like Anderson Cooper would be allowed to keep drinking, but anchors and correspondents like Don Lemon would be prohibited from drinking during the broadcast.
However, Cohen exclaimed during live television coverage, “We can’t drink!”
Cohen said that he had a pocket of edibles. “Will I take them? I don’t think so,” he said. “I don’t know. It’s a long night. This is a telethon with no disease. Do you understand? We’re here all night! Passing time!”
Cohen and Cooper instead took shots of non-alcoholic substances.
“What we are doing is we are taking a mystery shot!” Cohen said.

This year will be the first New Year’s Eve show overseen by Licht since he took over the network in February. During the meeting, Licht reportedly told staffers that drinking on-air eroded the presenters’ credibility and “respectability.”
Last year, the broadcast drew significant controversy when Lemon and Cohen both went on alcohol-fueled rants while on air. Twitter erupted Sunday afternoon after left-wing comedian Kathy Griffin was suspended for violating the platform&#8217;s terms of service about impersonating other people.
New Twitter CEO Elon Musk warned that moving forward, accounts would be permanently banned without warning if they attempted to impersonate other accounts.
“Going forward, any Twitter handles engaging in impersonation without clearly specifying ‘parody’ will be permanently suspended,” Musk tweeted. “Previously, we issued a warning before suspension, but now that we are rolling out widespread verification, there will be no warning.”
“This will be clearly identified as a condition for signing up to Twitter Blue,” Musk continued. “Any name change at all will cause temporary loss of verified checkmark.”
Griffin’s account was banned after she impersonated Musk by changing her profile photo to his photo and her user name to “Elon Musk,” even though her handle remained “@kathygriffin.”
Memes quickly flooded the internet mocking Griffin, 62, with many using her highly controversial photo shoot when she held a fake, severed head of then-President Donald Trump for the camera.

Comedian Kathy Griffin reportedly logged back into Twitter Sunday evening after being banned from the platform earlier in the day for impersonating new Twitter CEO Elon Musk.

The company does make exceptions for parody accounts but the accounts have to clearly state that they are parody and are not the entity that they pretending to be.
&#8220;If we determine a profile features another’s image, we will also evaluate the context in which the image is used,&#8221; the terms of service state. &#8220;We are most likely to take action if an account falsely claims to be the entity portrayed in the profile photo, as with impersonation or fake accounts.&#8221;
Twitter has seen a substantial drop off in advertiser revenue since Musk became CEO as left-wing activists have pressured companies to suspended their partnerships with the platform because those activists want Musk to use a heavy hand in policing what speech is allowed.
“Twitter has had a massive drop in revenue, due to activist groups pressuring advertisers, even though nothing has changed with content moderation and we did everything we could to appease the activists,” Musk tweeted. “Extremely messed up! They’re trying to destroy free speech in America.”

D-List comedienne <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/how-to-make-a-straight-man-turn-gay-60-year-old-kathy-griffin-ridiculed-after-dancing-topless-in-viral-video/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Kathy Griffin</a>, who once posed holding a <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/election-night-kathy-griffin-retweets-infamous-pic-of-her-with-trumps-severed-head/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">fake severed head of former President Trump</a>, continued her gruesome and tasteless obsession with the 45th president Monday by suggesting his late first wife&#8217;s body be exhumed.
The cold-hearted comic&#8217;s joke was apparently about Trump allegedly having classified documents at his Florida home. In trying to make a punchline of Ivana Trump, who died tragically in mid-July after falling down the stairs at her home in New York City, Griffin tweeted, “Exhume Ivana.”

Griffin, who was a fixture on CNN&#8217;s New Year&#8217;s Eve specials for years, posed for a May 2017 photo session by photographer Tyler Shields in which she held up a bloody replica of Trump’s severed head. <a href="https://www.tmz.com/2017/05/30/kathy-griffin-beheads-donald-trump-photo-tyler-shields/">TMZ</a> obtained a copy of the shot before the picture’s release, reporting that Griffin joked during the shoot that she and Shields would need to flee to Mexico after the release or they’d go to prison.
The stunt was too much even for CNN.
“We found what she did disgusting and offensive,&#8221; the network said in a statement. &#8220;We are pleased to see she has apologized and asked that the photos be taken down. We are evaluating New Year’s Eve and have made no decisions at this point.”
But by the end of August 2017 Griffin <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/watch-kathy-griffin-says-she-isnt-sorry-severed-hank-berrien">indicated she was unrepentant</a>. Appearing on Australia’s &#8220;Sunrise Live&#8221; with hosts David Koch and Samantha Armytage, she brazenly stated that she wasn’t sorry for the infamous photo, calling the incendiary reaction to the photo “B.S.”, referring to the “atrocities” perpetrated by President Trump, and whining about all she had suffered because she’s a woman.
&#8220;You were very sorry at the time; you apologized,&#8221; Koch said in the interview. &#8220;You were very upset. Are you no longer sorry for it?
&#8220;Correct,&#8221; Griffin replied. &#8220;I&#8217;m no longer sorry. The whole outrage was B.S. The whole thing got so blown out of proportion. And I lost everybody; I had Chelsea Clinton tweeting against me. I had friends, Debra Messing, from &#8216;Will and Grace&#8217;, tweeting against me. I mean, I lost everybody. And so I have been through the mill, I also, I didn’t just lose like, one night on CNN; my entire tour was canceled within 24 hours because every single theater got all these death threats. I mean, these Trump fans; they’re hard-core. They have, like, robocalls, and they’re a minority, but they know how to act like they’re a majority.&#8221;
Armytage pointed out that it wasn’t just “Trump fans” who took offense, noting that liberal actress Debra Messing and Chelsea Clinton had denounced the photo.
&#8220;Do you not agree that that picture, holding up a severed head, I know it’s a mask, covered in tomato sauce, but do you do not accept that was a little bit over the line?&#8221; Armytage asked.
A defiant Griffin snapped back at the hosts.
&#8220;You’re full of crap,&#8221; she said. &#8220;Stop acting like my little picture is more important than talking about the actual atrocities that the President of the United States is committing, and I’m also on a mission to tell people honestly if it happened to me, as big-mouthed and obnoxious as I am, it can happen to you.&#8221;

Many of these Hollywood stars took to social media to express their fear over the possibility of abortion law decisions returning to the state level. Activist comedian Kathy Griffin used the news as an opportunity to remind everyone that this likely would not have happened if Hillary Clinton had won the 2016 election. She shared a photo of Clinton and wrote,

Mia Farrow was also upset by the news. “Forced birth? Not really. I lived through the abortion ban years. The fact is that there wont be fewer  abortions,” she wrote. “Women will continue to get the abortion they need. Except those abortions wont be safe. “The Handmaid’s Tale” actress Ever Carradine used the idea of Roe v. Wade being overturned to reference the show, which has been understood as an allegory for the fight to keep abortion legal. “Under His Eye,” she said. This line features prominently in both the television series and the book by Margaret Atwood.

Comedian Kathy Griffin elicited ridicule and trended on Twitter after she posted a video of her apparently topless and shimmying at a beach.
“HEY BOYZZZZ,” Griffin posted on Wednesday along with a video of herself, taken from behind, showing her baring her chest and dancing while looking out over a body of water.

The video caused her to trend on Twitter as social media users mocked the 60-year-old comedian. “A video posted by comedian Kathy Griffin is drawing comparisons to fellow comedian Scott Thompson, who performs under the name Carrot Top, due to their similar hairstyles,” Twitter captioned the trend.
Griffin responded to the trend the next day, blaming “magas” for the online mockery.
“Going viral? Look, compared to another video that went viral 4 years ago, this is nuthin but fun!” Griffin said. “The magas always think it’s this big insult to call me Carrot Top. I love Carrot Top (Scott Thompson) and his audiences adore him and have for decades.”
Comedian Chrissie Mayr, who is also a redhead, <a href="https://twitter.com/ChrissieMayr/status/1451052111681179652">posted</a> on Twitter, “Pls stop tagging me in this. My people have suffered enough.”
Another comedian, Josh Denny, came to the defense of Scott Thompson over the comparisons. “Stop comparing this to Carrot Top, everyone. Scott hasn’t been this flabby in decades,” Denny <a href="https://twitter.com/JoshDenny/status/1451038515437834243">said</a>, adding, “and yes, I know how fat I am.”
“Is this reverse conversion therapy?” commentator Derek Hunter <a href="https://twitter.com/derekahunter/status/1451040353260343303">joked</a>.

Elijah Schaffer, a host at The Blaze, <a href="https://twitter.com/ElijahSchaffer/status/1451010827201531906">captioned</a> the video, “How to make a straight man turn gay in 3…2…1.”
Griffin, known for her vulgar stunts, received widespread criticism in 2017 when she posed holding a bloody replica of then-President Donald Trump’s severed head. After initially apologizing for the display, she has since repeatedly stood by it, posting the photo to her Twitter account as recently as November of 2020 on the night of the presidential election.
When Griffin first posted the photo in May of 2017, the backlash against her was so severe that she later apologized for the display and said she “went too far.” As <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/election-night-kathy-griffin-retweets-infamous-pic-of-her-with-trumps-severed-head">The Daily Wire</a> reported:

Griffin tearfully added, “I don’t think I will have a career after this. I’m going to be honest.
